Half a Cart of Vintage 1990s Jurassic Park Toys?! INSANE Thrift Store Find!

I'm talking one of the biggest 1990s Jurassic Park hauls I've ever pulled from a thrift store. I'm talking half a cart packed full of these things. And trust me, that's just the headline. Hey, what's up? It's your boy, Burf, and it's five thrift store Friday. Yes, it's five thrift store Friday, the happiest day of the week. [00:00:59] Speaker 2: Looking for more, my name is Burf, and this is my turf. I'm straight out of the thrift store. [00:01:11] Speaker 3: Whoa, look at the size of this guy. Holy cow, man, that is huge. That's what she said. It looks old too. All right. What do they want for that? $4.99? Yeah, I think I got to snag that, man. I've never seen one that big. That is nuts. Look at this Hulk. That's a cool one for $2.99. Okay, well, I just looked him up. He's a 2012 Marvel Legends, and he's selling for almost 50 bucks. So that is an absolute no-brainer. Oh, that's interesting. This little mini hockey stick. There's like three of them here, but this one is a Detroit Red Wings, and it's got a little Caesars logo on it. [00:02:10] Speaker 1: Who knew I'd end up wrestling crocodiles, or alligators, whatever this guy is, when I went to the Goody Wheel, man. But check this dude out. Holy cow, this thing is awesome. He is super cool. I think he's about 24 inches in length. He's got blood on his teeth. He's got some really great detail on his, you know, like the scales, like everything. Just so detailed. You can tell that the artist that made this, the sculptor that made it, really put some time into it. His eyeballs almost look like they're like made with marbles or something like that. Now, I haven't really been able to identify this guy, so I've tried doing some Google Lens search and some eBay searches and whatnot, but I just don't know who makes him. However, if you look right here, he does have, see if I can zoom in here or focus. There's like an emblem of a lion that looks like it has the letters WC, like carved into it or embossed into it or something like that. So, but yeah, I'm not real sure. So if anybody can identify that toy company, I would greatly appreciate it. Yeah, this guy is absolutely fantastic and he's staying right here in my personal collection. Now, speaking of big guys, check this out. I found a 2010 Marvel Legends Hulk. Now, I looked this guy up. I think he sells for like $35 to $40 and I picked him up for just a few bucks. So you really can't beat that. And, you know, some of the Marvel characters or Marvel and the DC universe, all that stuff, like the characters that I like are characters like the Hulk, Spider-Man, Thing, Superman, Batman, you know, kind of some of those mainstay characters. So finding this Hulk was kind of cool. I don't know if I'll keep him. I may actually end up trying to sell him at the upcoming toy show that I'm going to be at again, which is the Metroplex collectible show. I think it is August 22nd in Arlington, Texas. So if you're in the neighborhood or you're in the DFW area, I would encourage you to come out to that show. It's free admission for the fans, for the, for the, it's free admission for the customer. The vendors pay a fee for the booth, which is a very fair fee, by the way. And, uh, but the, but the customers get in for free. So bring out the whole family, stop by my booth and say hi. All right, gang, that was a quick stop at the Goody Wheel. And it was a small haul, but a super cool one. Let's see if we can keep the ball rolling and let's head on off to another thrift store. [00:05:09] Speaker 3: Man, it must be just a big lizard kind of day. Look at that, dude. $8.99, though. I don't think so. [00:05:21] Speaker 1: Well, I just looked them up and the most recent one sold for $30 plus shipping. And it said he's from $19.89. I don't know how they determine that because I don't see a, oh, there it is right there. Oh, yeah, $19.89. All right. [00:05:43] Speaker 3: Should I get it? Should I get it? Interesting. Here's a Jurassic World still in the box. What year is that one from? Oh, 2018. Well, he's selling for about $30. So for $6.99, maybe I'll grab that and try and flip it. Look at this little dude. I'll have to look that up. There's a five nights at Freddy's. There's also a five nights at Freddy's Funko. [00:06:22] Speaker 1: Sometimes these five nights at Freddy's can be worth something, but this looks like a newer one. Like, I think the original series is the one that's worth some money. Yeah, he's only selling for about five bucks. Well, there are several of these dudes, maybe like five or six, that are listed for like $150, but not a single one of them has sold. So it's probably worth getting, but I'm going to pass on it. Is that a Darth Vader? [00:06:51] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Oh, he talks. Hmm. I think I've had similar ones before. [00:07:04] Speaker 1: Well, he's pretty cool, but he's only like worth about $5. So I'll just pass on it. It's the new Star Wars stuff anyway, and I don't really collect that. I'm going to leave the monitor lizard, even though he's from 1989. I don't really have any use for him. And if I were to like sell him, I mean, I could put him on Marketplace. He's just too big to ship is what I was getting at, but he might sell on Marketplace for 20 bucks, but I think I'll just leave him here. [00:07:39] Speaker 3: Man, you know what? I've got enough stuff to flip. I need to get out of that little mindset of mine of, oh, I'll just pick it up and flip it. [00:07:51] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's going to go home, and it's going to go, it's going to sit like in the garage, and eventually, like eight months from now, I'll list it, you know? It's kind of cool. I mean, it's 30 bucks, but still, I need to just stick to stuff I collect. Sometimes there's cool things at the thrift that you just don't need to buy. I mean, really, you don't need to buy any of it, but it's still fun. It's still fun to buy stuff, you know what I mean? But yeah, hey, I walked away empty-handed. It happens sometimes. It happens sometimes. All right, let's head on off to another Goody Will, and let's see what kind of goodies they got. What you got for me today, Goody Will? [00:08:36] Speaker 2: What you got for me today? [00:08:39] Speaker 1: Check it out. We got a little Hamburglar on a jet ski, Mickey D's Kid. [00:08:45] Speaker 3: Oh, no way. [00:08:48] Speaker 1: Oh, dude, that is so cool. That's a Tron figure. That's a 1980s Tron figure. That is so awesome. [00:08:59] Speaker 3: I don't think I've ever found a Tron figure at the thrift before. Oh, for $1.99 for the whole bag? Hell yeah. I need to look in these other bags and see if maybe there's some other Tron figures. That would be awesome if there is. But I'm not really seeing any bagel run 2021. Okay, well, I'm going to keep looking and see if I can find something. If not, this is cool in and of itself. [00:09:51] Speaker 1: Came over here to the shelves to see if I could maybe find, like, a Tron vehicle. [00:09:56] Speaker 3: And there's no luck, but we've got a G.I. Joe Cobra vehicle. The Parasite. [00:10:07] Speaker 1: I actually have one of these, and it is complete. But let me see. What do they want for this guy? Is there a price on him? $2.99. Yeah, I think I'll grab it, man. No Joe left behind. You know what? On second thought, I am going to leave this Joe behind. Technically, it's not a Joe. It's a Cobra. You know what I mean? But yeah, I just looked it up, and one in this exact same condition sold for $6. They want $2.99 for this one. And I already have one that's complete. So I was going to get it just to maybe list it on Marketplace for, like, $15 or something. But I don't even think I could get that out of it. So I'll just leave it here, and I'm sure a G.I. Joe fan will swing by. And this will totally make his day. [00:11:04] Speaker 3: Oh, look at that. That looks like Robocop. Yeah, it is Robocop. Robocop 2. Babylon AD. The kid goes wild. What the heck is that? Is that the actual Robocop 2? That's kind of wild, man. I definitely got to pick that up. Oh, that looks like Robocop. Oh, it says Robocop 2 down here in the corner. Babylon AD. The kid goes wild. [00:11:44] Speaker 1: As featured in the Orion Pictures film Robocop 2 opening June 22nd at theaters. Oh, so it must be like a movie called Babylon AD. The kid goes wild. That's associated maybe with Robocop 2. And maybe they just used the Robocop on the cover just for, like, you know, association recognition sort of thing. Oh, that is kind of cool, man. [00:12:13] Speaker 3: I'm definitely going to get that. And then there's also this Daffy deck. [00:12:21] Speaker 1: All right, this is pretty cool. So, I spotted this VHS. I saw it had Robocop on it. And then it had Babylon AD, which I didn't recognize at all. And I thought maybe it was, like, some sort of short film about Robocop that I'd never heard of before, you know? And at first glance, I thought it was a Robocop movie tape. And it turns out it wasn't that at all. It's actually a promotional tape for the band Babylon AD, which is tied to the Robocop 2 movie. Now, if you're not familiar with this band, like I was, you might want to know that they were a late 80s, early 90s glam metal band. And that track, The Kid Goes Wild, was featured in Robocop 2. And it was used in the arcade scene. This VHS was used to promote that song, The Kid Goes Wild. And the music video that they made for it even has a bunch of clips from the Robocop 2 movie in it. This is the kind of weird, obscure pop culture oddity that I absolutely love. Now, most people would just walk right past this, but for collectors like me, it's a fun slice of movie and music history, even though I had no idea that Babylon AD was a musical band, you know? So, you learn something new every day, you know? But, hey, if you've ever seen one of these, or if you collect this kind of stuff, just let me know in the comments below. I want to know if there's other weirdos out there like me that would have snatched this up in a heartbeat. Man, I did not expect my first official vintage Tron figure to come from the Goody Wheel of all places. So, this is The Warrior from the original Tron toy line released by Tomy in 1982 to go along with Disney's groundbreaking movie. And these figures are just so freaking cool. But the original Tomy toy line was incredibly small. Only four figures were produced, Tron, Flynn, Sark, and The Warrior, which makes finding one of these in the wild pretty exciting. The Warrior was made from this awesome translucent red plastic with gold detailing, giving him that unmistakable early 80s Tron look. Now, mine definitely has some paint wear, and he's missing his original staff. But loose vintage warriors like this can generally go for anywhere between $30 and $60, depending on condition. But for me, the coolest part isn't the value. The coolest part is that my first official vintage Tron figure came from a thrift store. Not a bad way to start the collection. [00:15:20] Speaker 3: Oh my god, that is too epic. Holy cow, $2.99. Yeah. I definitely have to get that. That is crazy. Mr. T as a rubber ducky. Rubber duck T. Look what we got chilling over here. Camp Snoopy Hunchbox. $10. $9.99. Damn, what's this thing selling for? Okay, it's definitely selling for more than $10. [00:15:54] Speaker 1: It's selling for about $25 to $30. But, um, that's also with free shipping. [00:16:03] Speaker 3: But I, if I got it, I wouldn't get it to sell it. I wouldn't get it just to keep it. I think that's pretty cool. [00:16:10] Speaker 1: One of my favorite Peanuts cartoons is Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown. I know it's not Camp Snoopy sort of thing, but they're still out camping and whitewater rafting and all kinds of fun stuff. So, I don't know. I might get it. [00:16:31] Speaker 3: Is that... I think that might be Punky Brewster. It's got the different colored shoes. Let's see if there's like a tag. Yeah, there's a tag right there. Louis Galoub. Yep. That is a Punky Brewster plush. [00:16:53] Speaker 1: She's obviously not got the correct outfit. Looks like somebody's grandma might have made an outfit for her. Like knitted one or something. [00:17:00] Speaker 3: But, how much do they want for that? [00:17:02] Speaker 1: $2.99? [00:17:04] Speaker 3: Yeah. I think I'll grab that for a few bucks. [00:17:08] Speaker 1: All right. So, we got some fun finds here at this thrift. I got a Camp Snoopy lunch box, which is freaking awesome. It's in great condition. I think it resells for about $35, but I'm probably going to keep it because it is so cool. I found Punky Brewster at the thrift. Now, she doesn't have her original clothing. It looks like somebody's grandma or mom knitted her an outfit. So, I don't have the original clothing. I did look it up on eBay and I found a pair of jeans that I could get, but it's like $15 plus $6 shipping. Of course, I did get an offer from that seller for $11. So, I don't know. Maybe I'll respond back and low ball them at $5 and see what happens. But, anyway, to complete this Punky at those prices, I don't even know what her jacket would cost. And I think she comes with like a little latch key or something like that. It might be cheaper to actually buy a complete Punky than trying to complete her by buying the parts now. So, this is a little problem that I have at the thrift store is that sometimes I see stuff and I'm like, oh, I can get it and I can maybe complete it, but I have to keep trying to remind myself that that rarely works out in your financial favor. You know what I mean? So, if it's not complete, you probably shouldn't get it unless it's something really extra special. And then, finally, man, this was the score of the store. I scored a Mr. Duck Tee. Yes, Mr. Duck Tee. This thing is so freaking awesome. Now, the crazy thing is I had never seen one of these before. I think it's like from 2011 or 2014, one or the other. But, I'd never seen one before. And then, last night, I was watching Killer Carp's latest video. If you're not familiar with Killer Carp, he has an awesome YouTube channel. And, he was doing like a toy room tour and an interview with a collector. And, this guy has a massive Mr. Tee collection. And, in the background, I saw Mr. Duck Tee sitting on his shelf. So, never saw one of these before. Now, I've seen two this week. So, crazy. But, anyway, I absolutely love this thing. And, like I said, it was the score of the store. Oh, that's an interesting bag of dinos. That looks like a, oh, yeah, you know what? That's actually a Dino Riders right there. [00:19:56] Speaker 3: And, some other really neat looking ones in here. [00:19:59] Speaker 1: Okay, so, this one right here is a Primal Rage. And, it looks like he sells for about 30 bucks. He's missing his tail. But, the ones I saw were also missing their tail. And, I don't know who this dude is. He's got a spine showing through his back. And, then there's this one here that's kind of like a snake. Alright, I think I'm going to grab this bag. So, they went $3.99 for that. [00:20:23] Speaker 3: And, there's a couple more in here. Oh, yeah, look at that dude. He's interesting. And, what about this one? [00:20:34] Speaker 1: Kind of looking to see if there's any more Dino Riders. Oh, yeah, he's cool, too. This dude here is like a vintage Jurassic Park figure. Alright, I'm going to get these. [00:20:46] Speaker 3: And, then, look at this dude. That's got it. Oh, yeah, that's Jurassic Park. What year is that from? $19.97. [00:20:54] Speaker 1: Sweet. For $2.99. Alright, I'm going to grab this guy, too. I love plush that are part plush, part plastic. So, that's a sweet little find. Oh, no way. Captain Power. Alright, that's cool, too. It's missing the canopy and stuff. But, I can probably pick one of those up on eBay. I've got this in the box already. I found it a couple years ago. What else do we got down here? Oh, look at this dude. Isn't he cool? Man, there's all kinds of fun stuff here. Look at this snake. I think that looks like an old vintage snake. Alright, anything else? Oh, for a second, I thought that was the big T-Rex. The vintage Jurassic Park red one. Alright, I'm kind of interested to see maybe what's in the baggy section over there. [00:21:59] Speaker 3: Oh, look at this guy. Oh, that's cool. Oh, that's literally the one we just saw at the other store that was in the box. [00:22:12] Speaker 1: Oh, man. No way. [00:22:16] Speaker 3: Oh, dude. Look at all these core action figures. Oh, hell yeah, dude. [00:22:25] Speaker 1: For $3.99. Oh, my God. That is freaking epic. He's on that jazz, man. He's on the jazz. He's on the jazz, man. That jiggy, jiggy jazz, man. I collect core. I collect these core action figures. This is awesome, man. $3.99 for the whole bundle. You can't go wrong, baby. Oh, look at that, man. We got a 1994 Toho Rodan, man. Oh, that is so cool. These snakes are cool, too, man. But that Rodan is epic. And this dude right here, that is a 1994 superhuman samurai figure. Big-ass spider. There's a couple spiders in there. More snakes. Some sort of lizard. Oh, man. Check that out. Tony Air Jammer. I've got a couple other Air Jammers at the house, too. I found them in another thrift store, like, a few years ago. I'll have to look this up and see how much of this is missing. It might just be the pump. Yeah, it's actually missing the roll bar on it. And with the roll bar, they sell for about $9. So they're not really worth anything. But that is fun to see. Oh, wow. Look at this giant, plush, red ranger. I think he's like a dino ranger, right? Or dinosords or something like that. Looks like he's had a little stitching up. Looks like someone might have fell apart and somebody stitched them back together. They only want, like, $3 for him. I'm not going to get it. But it's not often you see that. I think they sell for, like, $20, $25 in pretty decent condition on eBay. So this one's pretty beat. You'd be lucky to maybe get $10 out of it. Man, I feel like Santa Claus with a big, fat sack on my back. Feels like Christmas. Oh, my gosh. Like, where do I even start with this? I mean, this was a massive haul. And I only paid, like, $54 for everything. That was including tax. So I guess what we'll do before we jump into the Jurassic stuff, I'll show you some of the other things that I found in the store. This haul is definitely worth way more than $54, way more than I paid for it. And a lot of it is going to be for sale. So anyway, let's dive in and let me show you what I found. All right, let's start with this lot. So I got a Spawn figure, which I think he's really cool. But as you guys know, Spawn really isn't worth a whole lot of money. But he is a pretty cool-looking figure. And then over here, we've got this Men in Black Alien. Now, this guy is actually worth a little bit of money. I want to say I saw him selling for, like, $25 to $30. So, you know, these bags were only, like, $2.99 to $3.99 each. So that guy right there probably paid three-quarters, is going to pay for three-quarters of what I paid for this whole lot. So I ended up with this Rhino. He's got, like, this rubbery skin. He's electronic. I put some batteries in him. He does make sound, but he's supposed to walk as well, and he doesn't really walk. Well, I think he's supposed to, like, kind of, like, wobble back and forth. And he doesn't do that. But I just thought he was kind of neat. And then we ended up with some figures. I can't remember what the Vortec, I think, is what this guy is from here. I can't remember his name, but I think he's from a toy line called Vortec. There is some Judge Dredd right there. And then this guy over here with the gun, I don't know what he's from. I didn't actually look him up. We got Bobby from Bobby's World. We got some, we got a homey figure. Got this cowboy. And then these snakes. These are actually kind of cool. I really like them. But I probably, probably ended up with close to a dozen vintage rubber snakes. And then we got the Captain Power Powerjet XT7. So this thing's missing quite a bit. But it's actually a fairly inexpensive toy. So I think I might actually be able to part this one back together at a reasonable price. So anyway, this is the first of the, this huge lot that I picked up. Let's take a look at what else I found. Like I said, I got all kinds of creepy crawlers. But check out all of these snakes. Snakes? Why did it have to be snakes? These are the kind of snake toys that I played with as a kid. And I'll tell you, I mean, look how menacing some of them look. Like, look at that dude's face right there. Oh my God, dude. That is so sick. And then this guy over here. And then there's this giant ant. And over here, we've got a King Cobra. And we've got a rat. And a bat. A rat and a bat. And then I think this snake right here might have actually had like googly eyes. See those little sockets? I think there were like little googly eyes that like fit down in there. But yeah, pretty cool. All right, now let's take a look at some of the cooler stuff. So I thought this was pretty cool. I got this entire bag of core action figures for, what was it? $3.99? Or was it $2.99? But anyway, look how many of these figures I ended up with. Now there were some G.I. Joe. These are some Street Fighter dudes back here. And that figure there here, the frog man. His name is Sailor. And I believe they're from the 1990s. But these core figures are so cool. Look, this guy here actually has a knife. I don't know if that's the weapon that actually came with him. But I think that dude looks badass. And then I'm going to be doing a little repair on these guys this weekend. I'm going to fix his leg. It's just popped off. So it's not like it's broken or anything like that. So it's definitely fixable. I'm going to have to take them apart. But I'm also going to replace these guys with O-rings. Because some of them, as you can see, are a little loose. But yeah, this haul was pretty awesome. And I was definitely jazzed up about it. All right, I thought this was a pretty sweet lot. So check this out. I thought that bag had nothing but vintage core action figures in it. Turns out there were a couple of G.I. Joes in there. So we got Cobra Commander, which I did not have that version of him. And then we've got G.I. Joe Street Fighter Blanca. I didn't have him either. So I thought that was pretty epic. We got a Mondo Street Blitzer. And I don't have this one. So I've got a few of these guys, but I didn't have him. That's a fun line of toys. And then we got these Dino Riders. I thought there was just the one, this Raptor looking thing. But this Dimetron or whatever that thing is called. Turns out he was a Dino Riders figure as well. Now the tip of his tail is broken off, but that's okay. He's still really cool. And then we've got these superhuman samurai figures. We got like this Mecha T-Rex looking thing. And then over here, we've got this guy. I think his name is Hawk, H-O-C-K or something. And then check this out. This thing here in this condition recently sold for $45. This is a Primal Rage Boss Necroson. Too bad he doesn't have his tail and his other attachments. You can see there's like a couple of legs or something that attach at his shoulder. If he was complete, he's like over a $100 figure. And then we've got Godzilla's Rodan from the 1990s. But yeah, this here was a pretty sweet haul. Oh, and how can I forget the Mighty Max Scorpion? So I actually have the Mighty Max playset, which is a snake. And this scorpion goes to that playset. And I didn't have this scorpion. So now I do. How awesome is that? That's the thing I love about finding stuff like this in the thrift store is that sometimes you find missing pieces to toys that you have and you're able to complete them. And then last, but certainly not least, I ended up with almost a dozen Jurassic Park figures from 1993 and 1994. There are a dozen figures here on this block, but this guy right here, he is not Jurassic Park. He is Primal Rage and I think he looks absolutely epic, epic. But check these out, man, 1993 and 1994 figures. This guy right here, see his bones exposed? He actually has the little piece that covers that up. And from what I saw online when I was doing some research on these guys, that piece is always missing. So it definitely makes him a little more valuable having that. But we've got these Velociraptors back here. This guy right here, I don't even know what he's called, but he's supposed to have one of those little pieces as well. But it looks like the Velociraptors are just ripping right into his backbone. But man, how cool are these guys? I looked everything up on eBay and there's definitely over $100 of value sitting right here on this wooden block. And like I said, this is one of the biggest, if not the biggest Jurassic Park, vintage Jurassic Park haul I've ever had. Now, it's not the most valuable. I've had where I found like the big red T-Rex and the bull T-Rex and another T-Rex like all at the same time at the same store. So, you know, like probably four or five, maybe even $600 worth of figures wrapped up into three figures. But this is definitely, as far as quantity goes, the biggest JP score I've ever had. Man, these guys look stunning. Oh, and how could I forget this guy? Look at this guy. How awesome is he? He's got that hard plastic head, soft plush body. His claws are hard plastic. His talons. He's got these sharp talons that just tear out into your tarnation. But yeah, man, he is super cool. I love plush like that that are part plastic, part plush. I've said that a million times, but it's true, man. It's true. I'm a sucker for it. And this guy is going to look great in the old JP, the vintage JP collection. But hey, if you're going to be in the Dallas Fort Worth area or you live in Dallas Fort Worth on Saturday, August 22nd, I'm going to be at the Metroplex collectible show. I'm going to have a table set up there. I'm going to be selling all kinds of vintage goodies and giving away amazing deals. Every time I do this show, I completely sell out at my table. 95% of my table is gone by the time the show is over, while a lot of other people still have stuff at their tables and stuff like that. But it's because I'm just giving away such crazy deals. I'm getting crazy. And I'm going to get crazy again on August 22nd. It's like, seriously, like people tell me all the time, dude, like you're practically giving this shit away. I know. It's because I got to get it out of here, you know? So I've had fun with it. I found most of it in a thrift store anyway. So it's not like I paid a lot of money for it. So I can afford to give away those deals. But yeah, stop by the Metroplex collectible show.
