[00:00:00] Speaker 1: I've been collecting vintage toys for a long time, and I've been to countless thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, yard sales, estate sales, vintage toy shows, and I've even picked through a few storage units in my day. And believe me, I've seen some pretty incredible stuff. But nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to see yesterday morning. A couple of days ago, I got a text from a guy named Jason. Now, Jason is someone that I've gotten to know through Facebook Marketplace. He's a reseller, and he's bought quite a few things from me in bulk over the last few months. But this time, he wasn't contacting me to see if I had anything to sell. He was contacting me to show me what he had just bought. And attached to that text message was a photo of a massive U-Haul packed floor to ceiling with vintage toys. I'm talking one of the biggest vintage toy purchases this guy says he's ever made. When I saw that picture, I knew one thing: I had to see it for myself. So at 7:30 a.m. yesterday morning, I headed over to Jason's place where he and his son Camden were getting ready to tackle this monster haul. And guys, when that U-Haul door rolled open, I couldn't believe what I was looking at. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Masters of the Universe, Thundercats, G.I. Joe, Power Rangers. And that was just scratching the surface. We're talking an insane amount of vintage toys. And here's the crazy part. What you're about to see is only a fraction of what was inside that truck. Hey, what's up? It's your boy, Berf. And you're about to embark on an epic vintage toy adventure with me. We're talking treasure troves of childhood memories, incredible discoveries, and who knows what else we're going to uncover. Hey, I'm excited. I hope you're excited too. If you're new here, hit the subscribe button. And if you've been rocking with me for a while, hit the like button and let's roll out.
[00:02:24] Speaker 2: Oh, there it is. The U-Haul. This thing is supposed to be packed with just toys. Hey, it's Jason, man. What's up? Dude, this is exciting. I'm excited for you to see it, man. Yeah, for sure. When you
[00:02:44] Jason: sent me the photos, I was like, damn dude. Wow. Probably right here. It's stacked five or six high. Okay. And then I started tapering it off so it wouldn't fall over. Fall over. Yeah. How did you
[00:02:58] Speaker 1: come across this? Facebook marketplace. Really? Someone said, did they post photos of everything
[00:03:04] Jason: or did you get there and then? It was just a general picture of their two storage units. They had like 22, 20 by 10s. Okay. And guy's probably mid fifties. Um, huge collector, been collecting for years, bought out like one of the KB toys years ago. And so he's been kind of
[00:03:23] Speaker 1: selling from the U.S. Oh, I think I know a Hispanic guy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Manny,
[00:03:28] Jason: I think his name, Miguel, Miguel. Yeah. Yes. I've, I've met him before. I'm sure you bought from him. I actually picked something out of there. Yeah. So he's, you know, he's bought, he's bought and sold. He's, he's gone to trader village, done that. And so I went there and I was like, would you just sell it
[00:03:43] Speaker 1: all? Like, you know what I mean? And here we are. When I was out there, I was always out there last summer and he was looking at that point in time. He was just like, I hope someone just wants to come
[00:03:55] Speaker 2: and buy it all is what he told me. So like, yeah, dude, that's the guy. Yeah. You're the guy. Wow, dude. Yeah, man. I'm excited to get in there and take a look around. So my wife and I, so I've been buying
[00:04:07] Jason: and selling for 20 plus years. We've flipped cars, houses, you know, and so we want to get started on whatnot. So I've used eBay, Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, but whatnot seems to be, you know, the way to go volume. So what better way to start than vintage toys? Yeah, for sure. And what is your whatnot? Questionable collectibles. And I just got the name. So it's questionable collectibles. Okay.
[00:04:33] Speaker 1: All right, cool. We'll put that in the comments. You never know with us. All right. I'm going to stop the video right here and let you know that there is a link in the comments below. It's pinned to the top of the comments. There's a link to Jason's whatnot, which is questionable collectibles. So if you click that link, you can give them a follow and you can get notified when they start going live with their whatnot auctions. And if I recall, I think he said he plans on doing two a day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and they're going to be doing that five days a week. What you're about to see in this truck is going to be up on the whatnot auctions in the near future. And not just what he has here in the truck, but all the other stuff that he has. He's been buying vintage toys for a while. So he's picked up quite a bit of inventory and he's going to be selling that on whatnot. So make sure that you click that link and give him a follow. Now back to the video.
[00:05:34] Jason: You never know with us, like, I mean, we do estate sales. I mean, you know, you go to estate sales. And so it's not just vintage toys. We do everything, everything, everything. And we have two antique mall boots, catered to man cave stuff, liquor, beer, you know, neons, LEDs. Um, but yeah, it's, uh, I enjoy it. Yeah. I enjoy it. You know, like, yeah, for sure. Yeah, man, it's the thrill. Yeah,
[00:05:57] Speaker 1: dude. Never seen before. It's the anticipation of just not knowing what you're going to find or what you're going to come across, you know, do I open it up? Yeah, dude, let's, let's do the big reveal,
[00:06:07] Speaker 2: man. Holy cow, dude. You're going to be so busy. Holy shite. Oh, dude. There's like some GI Joe,
[00:06:24] Jason: like right off the bat. Oh, look at this. Did you look inside this? There are so many things I did not even open, man. Wow. I mean, there was, you know, we were just trying to get it loaded. Yeah. Oh,
[00:06:36] Speaker 4: you got some TMNT in here too. Oh yeah. There's like a whole bunch of TMNT in here.
[00:06:44] Speaker 1: Oh, look at this. Star Wars. Oh, no way, dude. Yeah. Now, do you know your vintage toys or like,
[00:06:54] Jason: as far as like when you see something? Absolutely not. Yeah. That's being totally honest. Yeah. I know things that I've played with, right? Things that like, I like Transformers, He-Man, but do I know the values of these things and like what I'm looking for? I got to be honest. No. Yeah. That's where all the work comes in, all the, all the research. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Like what are these? Oh dude, that's
[00:07:22] Speaker 1: cool. You know? Um, yeah, man. If I, as we're digging through some of this stuff, man, if I see some stuff in here that I recognize that I know is valuable, I'll just let you know. But wow, dude. All right. So what's the next step here? Like, I mean, we're not going to go through all of it, obviously. Right. But like, but we definitely want to take a look at some of the stuff that's
[00:07:45] Jason: in here. I don't have enough space here to unload it here. So unfortunately I'll go back into a unit that I have. Yeah. Um, and then I'll probably just pull from it little by little, do what not shows,
[00:07:54] Speaker 1: pull some more, do what not shows. That's a great idea. Uh, now do you, will you organize that inside your unit or are you just, do you just put it in there or were you trying to like,
[00:08:03] Jason: just going to use that for storage and then I'll show you inside. So we sell out of here as well. Okay. Um, I have people coming here all the time, you know, so we sell like 10 tackers more of the man cave type stuff. This is beans. Hey, what's up? He keeps the rodents away. Nice. Um, but, uh, no, we use inside on, I'll show you inside, but, um, like I said, I'll just pull like, you know, half a dozen boxes, go through it, organize it. That sounds great. Grab another half a
[00:08:32] Speaker 1: dozen boxes. Yeah. That's, that's a, that's a great method of doing it. That way you're not
[00:08:38] Jason: overwhelmed with it. Yeah. And I think 90% of it's probably going to be whatnot, maybe 10%
[00:08:44] Speaker 1: eBay. Yeah. And then, uh, you put some stuff in your antique stores too. Probably. Yeah. Probably
[00:08:49] Jason: scatter it. And then there's just some stuff. I'm like Facebook marketplace. I'm not going to sell like big bins of Lego. Right. Right. That would be like this. I'm not, I'm not going to ship that.
[00:09:01] Speaker 1: Right. Yeah, for sure. So, but there's a lot of mini figs in here. I mean, there's
[00:09:07] Jason: Barbie, there's Hot Wheels. Oh, that's Cobra. I mean, it's just, it's a lot. Wow.
[00:09:15] Speaker 5: Dude. All right. Cool, man. Well, um, we'll maybe dig through a little bit of this here in a little bit. You want to show me the inside maybe and show me what you got going on in there.
[00:09:26] Speaker 1: So we call this the family cave. Oh, dude, this is cool, man. Do you hang out out here too? Oh,
[00:09:32] Jason: we work out of here every day. You work out of here every day. Hang out, guys nights, kids have sleepovers
[00:09:37] Speaker 1: in here. Awesome, man. All right. Well, I guess maybe we'll go out and take a look. We can do that. In the U-Haul and see if there's any goodies in there. And I figure we can bring stuff in and put it
[00:09:47] Jason: on the table. Oh yeah, that sounds great. So sort through it a little bit. Yeah, I'll help. And if there's anything you want to bring inside, like if you want to like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or,
[00:09:57] Speaker 6: you know, it doesn't matter to me. Okay. Yeah, let's, let's pull that out for sure.
[00:10:05] Speaker 1: And then we're up in it now. So we're just going to pull some boxes, take them inside. I think I'm going to try and get that box back there. And like I said, we're not going to be able to look at everything, but let's see if we can find some of the good stuff. What do we got here? We got a roadblock,
[00:10:26] Speaker 7: GI Joe. Oh, look at these here. How cool are those cars, man? Those are actually really badass. Some more Power Rangers.
[00:10:46] Speaker 1: All right, let's grab that box. And here's a box of vintage GI Joe figures. There might be some other figures mixed in there, but there's definitely some Joe's in there. So this one's got GI Joe's in it. They're box. Yeah. We were just talking about getting to that box, but then Jason was like, you'll get to that box and then you'll see another box and then another box. So I'm going to see if I can get to that one. I'm not going to try too hard because I don't want to break anything in here, but let's see if we can get that. It looks like it's got some cool figures in it. All right, looks like we got like a box turtle pizza thrower in here. So let's grab this too. So obviously we can't go through everything. It would be impossible to do that all in one video. I mean, it would probably require 10 to 15 videos really to go through everything in that U-Haul. So what I ended up doing, the plan of action was to maybe just grab half a dozen boxes or so that were kind of sitting there at the entrance, something that was easily accessible that we could then look through. So I was handing off the boxes to Jason and he was taking them into his facility. And what we're going to do next is we're going to go in there and open those boxes and rummage through them. So you're going to get to rummage through some vintage toys like you were right there with us on the scene, you know? So, um, this should be interesting. I'm kind of excited to see what's all inside of these boxes. All right. Well, let's take a look at some of these goodies, man.
[00:12:29] Speaker 6: What's up, Dan? What's up? Hey, what's going on? Nice to meet you. I think we met once before,
[00:12:35] Speaker 5: right? I think I dropped some stuff. Oh, what's that? You rock with it? The bazooka. Yeah, right.
[00:12:40] Speaker 1: You dropped off the toys. Yeah, that was me. Yeah. Your dad was out of town or something like that. Oh, look at this. GI Joe Cobra Moccasin. Cobra Moray. Is this like a Lego set?
[00:12:54] Speaker 6: What is that? No, it's not Lego action action building set on. Maybe it is like a Lego.
[00:13:03] Speaker 1: All right. And what do we got here? Oh, that's cool. Human torch. Oh, look at that, dude. It still has the KB sticker on it. $7.99 or three for $10 is what they got clearance to.
[00:13:23] Speaker 6: Mine storms. I wanted to take a look at this here. Look at this thing. Is this an original? Let's see here. It's a little new.
[00:13:36] Speaker 1: Let's see here. Oh, it's a 2024. Okay. Yeah. I thought maybe it might've been. That's the thing, man, with the, the retro stuff they're doing. It's hard to tell sometimes, especially like on the figures. I mean, these, where are they here? Yeah. These are definitely the vintage ones, but man, the new ones are like, the only way you can really kind of tell is how, just how new they are. You know what I mean? When I was looking at this box and you were like,
[00:14:00] Jason: age, I was like, okay, there's not much age. So is this like somebody's closet? Right. For 20,
[00:14:05] Speaker 1: 30 years, you know? Right. Which is always a possibility. Yeah. I was loading up a bunch of
[00:14:10] Speaker 8: Power Rangers stuff the other day and we had three Power Rangers. They're still in the front of the truck. Oh, no, no, no, no, not those ones. The other one. They're in front of the truck. They're in front of the U-Haul. And we had the green one, the actual original. Yeah. We had one that said Retro Morphinon, like that's the new one. That's the new one, right? Yeah. That helps
[00:14:30] Speaker 1: when they put like retro on the box or something like that. But then again, when they're out of
[00:14:35] Speaker 6: the box, how do you tell? Right. We got some Gina Cho. Awesome. Those are cool, man. What do we got here? Evolution. Oh, that Doc Ock's pretty awesome. So let's take a look at some of these turtles. So this is a metal head. His arm could be in here somewhere. Oh, some toy biz.
[00:15:12] Speaker 1: There's a karate action ones. Oh, these are karate action Power Rangers? Not green, unfortunately.
[00:15:21] Speaker 5: Okay. That's the back one. Pink and yellow. Oh, look at these, dude. Slide them over.
[00:15:28] Speaker 8: Yeah. Pink and yellow. We got some marble micro machines.
[00:15:38] Speaker 1: I never watched Power Rangers. It was out of my time. 1993. Oh, wow. Look at that.
[00:15:43] Speaker 8: I thought Power Rangers was cool, but it was just not my thing. Yeah. It's like, but I'll tell you,
[00:15:48] Speaker 1: like, I do appreciate the toys. Like, I think the toys are like really well done, you know?
[00:15:53] Speaker 8: 100%. And I also, I think it's funny that they have some of the best toys and they were one of the few shows that wasn't just created for toys. Someone just wanted to make Power Rangers. Yeah.
[00:16:05] Speaker 4: I've got a bunch of vintage turts here in the bottom. Oh, is that disguised Donatello? Yeah. That's disguised Donatello. Yeah.
[00:16:17] Speaker 1: Now, what year were you born? 2007. Oh, you're the same age. Okay. My daughter was born in 2007.
[00:16:24] Speaker 8: She was born in March. When were you? February. Okay. All right. I'm better.
[00:16:33] Speaker 1: I got a whole extra month. That's it. My wife is about three weeks. Well, almost four weeks older than me. Yeah. Almost, almost a month. Yeah.
[00:16:47] Speaker 8: So I got me an older woman. Oh, that's cool. Oh, dude. That's just a cool figure. Yeah, for sure. I don't know. What are you from? I mean, I know it's Mr. Freeze, but...
[00:17:03] Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm kind of wondering... I'm going to take a guess that that's like mid-90s. That was my guess,
[00:17:10] Speaker 8: and it's this lining right here that's kind of giving me that vibe. The lines on the shoulders. I've noticed that that's very common among villains and characters with just like a very bulky suit.
[00:17:22] Speaker 1: So with you guys like doing this or like have you always been into like toys and learning the stuff about it or is like this stuff doing this like got you more into researching. Give me just a sec. Yeah. I'm pulling up a picture of my dog. Oh, damn. Look at that, dude. Yeah, you're a collector. Very much so. I've got that same Kool-Aid guy. Yeah. I don't know why. I love the Kool-Aid guy.
[00:17:44] Speaker 8: I don't know why. I love the Kool-Aid guy. Yeah, me too.
[00:17:49] Speaker 6: Oh, look at this. I've never seen this one. Birthday Leonardo, right?
[00:17:56] Speaker 8: Actually. Yep. 1997. 97. Okay. I think it was around the time that they started using these more like chrome-like but almost shiny parts. Yeah. Like this. Right. The greens on this are kind of...
[00:18:15] Speaker 1: The chrome stuff gets me like every time, man. Like the shiny toys, like it's just... Even if I'm not that interested in it, I'll buy it just because it's a shiny thing, you know?
[00:18:30] Speaker 5: Dude, I think this is Megatron. I could be wrong on that. Yeah, I think you might be right.
[00:18:36] Speaker 1: Because, I mean, he is... It is! Oh, dude, that's sick. Oh, okay. So this guy right here, this is actually an Earthworm Jim figure. What? Yeah. I don't know if you're familiar with Earthworm Jim.
[00:18:49] Speaker 8: I am. He's the NES superstar. Yeah. He's based on cartoons, but what era? I know he had his own
[00:18:58] Jason: cartoon in the 90s. I was going to say, because... Cameron's knowledge of random facts. It's fascinating to me. It is fascinating. Yeah. Because, like, he knows so much about so much, you know what I mean?
[00:19:11] Speaker 8: Yeah, right. Go ahead. Ask me a math question. Watch me bumble my way through it.
[00:19:16] Speaker 1: Seriously, the amount of knowledge that this young man has, he's 19 years old. The amount of knowledge that he has about toys, whether it's modern toys or vintage toys, is quite impressive. So his dad's, like, not exaggerating one bit. I mean, I spent, like, a couple of hours with them and learned some new things from Cam. So, and by the way, Cam, if you're watching, math is overrated. Anyways, original
[00:19:46] Speaker 8: Riddler, you can tell his little leg joints. Oh, okay. That's old school. And I'm pretty sure that's
[00:19:54] Speaker 1: the first design of the Riddler, too. So, you know what? Actually, I think this is the Toy Biz version. So, Toy Biz did the power, um, superpowers figures as well. The original ones, if you squeeze their legs, they have, uh, they have an action. You know what? And their arms go up and down. So, this was the second release of them. Even still. Yeah, but still. Oh, no. Super cool, dude. And these are actually very
[00:20:21] Jason: collectible. Oh, look at that, dude. 1990. Dude, I just love how the colors pop on this stuff, you know? And somebody had to create that. Someone, like, yeah, someone in their mind. Yeah. Fascinating to me. Right? Like plungers. Yeah. As the wheels turn.
[00:20:41] Speaker 1: Oh, that's so fun, dude. Yeah, these are, these superpowers. These are, yeah, people are really hot into superpowers right now.
[00:20:52] Speaker 8: This is myself. Uh, I believe it was the reproduction and there was a couple pieces missing and I still got 50 for it. Really? What is it? This is a Hot Wheels set. Okay.
[00:21:02] Jason: I had one when I was a kid. Yeah. They made a bunch of variations. Oh, look at that.
[00:21:10] Speaker 8: Uh-huh. Garages. Super cool. And with pieces missing, I still got a really good deal for it.
[00:21:18] Speaker 1: Hours of fun, man. Yeah, 50, you still got 50 bucks even though it had missing pieces? Uh, the only,
[00:21:23] Speaker 8: to be fair, the only missing piece was like one of the, just one, like, one of the, okay, things up here. I think it was the gas. I played in mine for hours. Yeah. For hours. Yeah. Huge in the Hot Wheels. It wasn't missing to the point where you couldn't use it. Right. Even to a collector,
[00:21:38] Speaker 4: you're still valuable. Right. Basketball, Donnie. Oh, yeah. And then we've got, this is like,
[00:21:46] Jason: Olympic Leo. Here's your Monte Carlo buddy. Oh, sweet.
[00:21:53] Speaker 8: Is this a slot card? Yes, it is. Oh, yeah. It is Olympic. Well, I guess I gotta get a slot card set now.
[00:22:06] Speaker 4: I've got the basketball, Donnie. Oh, dude. Dude, I might have to buy this guy off you. I don't have
[00:22:13] Speaker 1: this one. Yeah. Yeah. I don't remember, I don't know their names, but he's like a Remco wrestling
[00:22:19] Speaker 6: figure. And, uh, I don't have him. So is some of this stuff for sale if I do want to buy some stuff while I'm here? You know I'll take it. Okay. All right. Cool. This guy's cool, too. This one's amazing. Oh, look at all these Smurfs. Yeah. These were some good bins. I've got all these
[00:22:48] Jason: guys here, but it's always fun seeing Smurfs. That's what you were saying. Your whole upstairs is
[00:22:54] Speaker 1: full of toys. Yeah. Yeah. That's fascinating. That's amazing. Kind of, yeah. And most of it, most of it was found in a thrift store or a flea market or something like that, you know.
[00:23:06] Speaker 2: Oh, dude. That's cool. I think it's Jazz. That's Jazz. Oh, yeah. Like Scoob. That was a good
[00:23:13] Jason: impression. Like, thanks, dude. He does really good impressions, too. Dude, this guy's got some weight
[00:23:17] Speaker 8: to him, man. Like, he's like, dude, no, I'm not going in that shack for a Scooby snack.
[00:23:24] Speaker 6: You're crazy. Oh, look at this stuff over here, too. Oh, another transformer. Yeah.
[00:23:33] Jason: Oh, yeah. Look at that. I mean, this whole, this whole bin is just... Just Power Rangers? Fascinating. No, no. Oh, it's not all power? It's a mixed bag of everything. Oh, okay. Superhero stuff, like... Oh, dude. Look at this. Look at these guys. Ah, dude. Yeah. All right. Okay, I'll admit,
[00:23:49] Speaker 8: these are cool. I'm not the biggest Power Rangers fan. This one's kind of cool. It turns into a ball.
[00:23:54] Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, right. That's kind of ball. Yeah, and I think these guys, I think they connect together to make the Megazord. And make the Megazord, yeah. Yeah. I might be wrong on that, but
[00:24:05] Speaker 8: I would imagine. The only reason I know it's called a Megazord is because I've been tagging so many Power Rangers items. That is a Fantastic Four item, I'm pretty sure. Oh, yeah, it is. Yep. Fantastic Four tank with the character who does not need a tank inside. Yeah, thing, right? He is a tank. Oh, that's a cool one. Yeah. I don't know if that's actually the Cool Smurf. No. Oh, yeah,
[00:24:32] Speaker 1: but... I have no idea. He is now. That's kind of the thing with the Smurfs. If you don't know their name, you can just give them one, you know? And it's something like that. Cool Smurf, right? Surfbird Smurf.
[00:24:43] Jason: Check out my new Invicta. That's a Swatch, man. Back in the day. Dude, that is so cool. A Swatch? Swatch.
[00:24:52] Speaker 6: Oh, what do we got here? We got some California Raisins.
[00:24:59] Speaker 4: Let's see if we can pull a few of those guys. There we go. Thank you.
[00:25:06] Jason: He's on the jazz, man. My dad absolutely loved these. Oh my gosh. Did he really? Oh my gosh. All the commercials and stuff. Dude, the commercials were great. And the music they played, you know? Right.
[00:25:18] Speaker 6: Hello. All right. That's a cool one. Should I have to go? I think I... Where was he? This one here. No, it's that one. One I just had. There was one in here. I just had my hand that has a microphone. Actually, and I don't have him either. There isn't some, like, crazy type of vinyl. That's just cool. Microphones?
[00:25:43] Speaker 1: And we got a bag full of, like, these little PVCs. There. We got them all standing up now. There's some real fun pieces in here.
[00:25:58] Speaker 6: Look at this Zord, dude.
[00:26:02] Speaker 4: 1998.
[00:26:06] Speaker 8: Dude, imagine Optimus Prime with nerds on him. That's just all I can think of. Oh, man. They picked a cool truck, dude. That's amazing. Yeah, right? They picked a cool truck for him and it would have worked if it was skinless.
[00:26:19] Jason: Styling with the stacks and the horns on top. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, it's got some real detail on it, right? There's some weird and cool stuff in there. Okay. Oh, okay. Yeah, I think... I mean...
[00:26:30] Speaker 1: I think those are... Actually, I think those are Power Rangers. Look at that. Yeah. Oh, yeah, dude. Look, I think... Yeah, actually, I've already... I think I have him. Like, his eyeballs pop out or
[00:26:40] Speaker 8: something like that. Oh, really? Yeah. Dude, I found the Hot Wheels that can actually shoot a missile and the missiles with it. Does it shoot far? No, it's... Wow, that's pretty neat, though. Yeah,
[00:26:49] Speaker 1: I got to protect those kids from choking on it, you know? They pulled the rocket-firing Boba Fett because a kid had choked on a Battlestar Galactica spaceship that had a missile and the Boba Fett had the same firing mechanism. Gotcha. So, but the kid, it shot down his mouth. It got lodged in his lungs and it killed him and then there was another one where a kid choked and then they ended up pulling that
[00:27:13] Jason: figure. So, but... It was like the Kinder Eggs. I heard they were illegal here in the States, like the Kinder Eggs. Yeah, I remember. Yeah. Because the small little parts, so you can get them in Europe, Germany, like, you know, all the time, but they didn't come here until...
[00:27:30] Speaker 1: maybe 10 years ago. I was going to say 10 years ago. I remember seeing them at the grocery store and
[00:27:34] Jason: stuff like that. Maybe 10 years ago. Yeah. And I don't know what changed, you know, but they still have the small little parts. Now they started getting away with, like, building little intricate pieces. Now it's got, like, stickers in it and, like, little figures, you know, that maybe you don't have to assemble. Yeah. So, I think that was the... I think that's what they did to try and get into the States. Let's get away from the little mini building parts. The little mini building parts, right. And then they went
[00:28:00] Speaker 8: right back to it. Did they? They did. I have no idea who this guy is, but he's metal. He's got some die
[00:28:08] Speaker 6: cast to him, so I don't, I don't know his name. Is this a Transformer? Yeah, it is. I thought I saw a
[00:28:18] Speaker 8: GoBot in here. I would have never gotten that. His name's Hoist. Okay. That looks like a GoBot.
[00:28:25] Speaker 1: Let's see. Yeah. So, he's got the Transformer sticker on it.
[00:28:31] Speaker 8: And... I'm going to just look him up. Yeah. Because I have no idea.
[00:28:36] Jason: The thing that fascinates me about toys the most is the creativity. Like, someone who created that.
[00:28:45] Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Just... Yeah, sketched it out and then they told it and, you know, molded it.
[00:28:51] Jason: Someone had to think about the clothes, the appearance, the... Yeah.
[00:28:57] Speaker 1: Everything about it, the detail. Yeah, like, they decided to give him a peace sign necklace,
[00:29:02] Speaker 8: you know what I mean? Yeah. Absolutely amazing. Dude, GoBots, I never understood how it got any popularity. I love GoBots, man. No, no. It's cool, but I never understood how it got to be popular. Because, look, Transformers, you got super cool cars, right? Mm-hmm. Remind me what the main character of the GoBots transforms into?
[00:29:25] Speaker 1: An airplane? No, no, no, no. The scooter. Oh, well, there's Leader One, who's the... What? The plane, you know? Yeah. And then it's... Yeah. And I think Scooter's name is Scooter.
[00:29:34] Speaker 8: Well, yeah. No. I'm not saying it doesn't make sense for the guy named Scooter.
[00:29:39] Speaker 1: I'm saying... Right. That feels like a poor business decision. Right. Yeah. And they actually
[00:29:46] Speaker 8: came out first. You're going up against planes, trains, and automobiles. Remember we were talking
[00:29:50] Speaker 1: about variations? Oh, yeah. Look at that. Right? Yeah. He's got a darker green tone. And then he's got like... Mine is different. Oh, yeah. The pants are the same. I wonder if one is more valuable than the other. Right? Oh. That's the thing you've got to be so careful of when you're selling stuff, you know? Yeah. Because otherwise, you could be giving it away for fruit. You're like $5 to $100. Oh, Jeeper Creeper. He's missing a lot, though. He's a parts guy.
[00:30:23] Jason: Folks had cleared out a storage unit. And I mean, it's literally tubs like this. Right? And all they did was like, okay, we're going to grab five or six items. We're going to put it in a box. It's box 41, 42, 43. And it's just randomness. It's parts. It's pieces. Like, guys missing an arm. Yeah. And they're like, $15, $16, $18. I'm like, for a box of random just stuff, you know? So out of this one bin, they're making like,
[00:30:52] Speaker 1: two, $300. No kidding. Just on like broken pieces and parts and stuff like that. Yeah.
[00:30:58] Jason: I mean, there was some, some, you know, cool stuff in there and solid. But it was just like this,
[00:31:04] Speaker 1: you know, like, you know, throw it in the bin. Right. Where a lot of people might think like, oh, he doesn't have an arm. He's not, he's not valuable, you know, but like somebody, somebody may be missing this arm on theirs, you know? Um, yeah, it's fascinating.
[00:31:19] Jason: Yeah. I'm so confused.
[00:31:24] Speaker 8: Is the original comics were super violent. If I'm not mistaken in the first issue, they just straight up decapitate shredder. Oh, really? No. Like when I say violent, I mean, they were cursing, swearing. It was dory. It was bloody. It was a mess. Oh, I didn't know that. I didn't know that. They were not the rambunctious pizza eating teens. Yeah. They were not screaming, "Cowabonga." They were screaming, "Kamakaze!" Did you just drop something out of the back button?
[00:31:49] Speaker 1: All right. So over here, we've got some Power Ranger monsters. I don't have that guy. I don't believe. Got him.
[00:32:01] Speaker 8: Why does he have fins? Oh, yeah, he does. Why does he have fins? It's Superman.
[00:32:27] Speaker 7: Man, these guys are gnarly, man. Oh, yeah, look at him. What's this guy here? Oh, look at this guy.
[00:32:44] Speaker 6: I wonder if his arm is down in there somewhere. I found his arm. He's really awesome. I'm down if you're down.
[00:32:59] Jason: There's three packs in here. There's three of us. Let's go.
[00:33:01] Speaker 2: All right. This just got interesting.
[00:33:06] Speaker 8: Let's go gambling.
[00:33:09] Speaker 1: That's cool. Now, do you guys know what are valuable? Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. All right.
[00:33:19] Jason: Chris, you're the guest here.
[00:33:20] Speaker 8: I wonder what packs are. You get to pick.
[00:33:23] Jason: I'm going to grab this one. Oh, those are good packs. There you go. All right.
[00:33:26] Speaker 8: So, one of you liked. I think the best thing you can get out of this is N-Zoroark. Okay, that's not bad. It's a playable card, so I think it's like... Okay. Okay. I think the best thing out of here is Cynthia's Garchomp. You and I have the same pack, by the way. Okay. Come on. Come on. Shut up. Shut up. I didn't get nothing. Nothing? Nothing. That's nothing. Unfortunate.
[00:34:11] Speaker 1: You're up, buddy. All right. I've never actually... This is the first time I've ever... No. Open a pack? ...opened a Pokemon pack. Yeah.
[00:34:20] Speaker 8: Try pulling... Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah. We can tell. Like this? You got to be careful. The condition of these things is everything, man. I know, right, dude. Oh, my God.
[00:34:30] Jason: Dude. So, go like this. I'm going to show them. There you go. All right, all right.
[00:34:35] Speaker 8: We got there. We got there eventually.
[00:34:37] Speaker 4: Okay. Open that up, and then...
[00:34:40] Speaker 7: It's been 84 years.
[00:34:43] Speaker 8: All right. Yep. Yep.
[00:34:51] Speaker 6: All right. We're getting to the big reveal. I can see a shiny one peeking up over the top.
[00:34:57] Speaker 8: Damn, y'all both got EXs and I didn't get a shit. No. Is this like... It's not... It's not super valuable. Okay. Unfortunately. Dad got the best pull.
[00:35:07] Speaker 7: Mumra.
[00:35:11] Speaker 4: Let's get him out of here. Ah, thanks, buddy. Oh, yeah. Check him out.
[00:35:20] Speaker 6: Man, I don't remember this guy. Maybe he's like Rat King or something like that.
[00:35:26] Speaker ?: Another one.
[00:35:26] Speaker 2: Oh, my God, dude. Another one. Dude, you're rolling in the money, dude.
[00:35:30] Jason: Rolling in the straws.
[00:35:34] Speaker 6: Oh, this is a... This is a different one. Yeah, here's the...
[00:35:38] Jason: Here's this guy. Same one.
[00:35:42] Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
[00:35:43] Speaker 6: He's like a different version or something. This is the one I had. Mm-hmm. This one's like a smaller... Interesting. This one almost looks bootlegg-ish. And then, are these the... I think this is Jackalman. This one at least has his, like, shoulder pad and stuff like that. Cool, man. Man, let me see him again real quick.
[00:36:17] Speaker 1: Dude, like, if you have his nunchucks, like, he's worth so much more. But, like, even more so than, like, some of the... Chitara is another one.
[00:36:27] Speaker ?: Yeah.
[00:36:27] Speaker 1: Like, her staff, you know. But, yeah. These guys are awesome. All right. So, I kind of made a little pile here. So, maybe we can kind of figure out if you're willing to sell these. I'll, um, see if we can work a deal on it.
[00:36:44] Speaker 7: Look at this dude, man.
[00:36:48] Speaker 1: How cool is that? So, here's a box of GI Joes, man. Got a bunch of weapons and accessories. There's timber. Snake Eyes dog. Oh, that's a... Oh, you've got some beachheads in here. Let's take a look at those. So, we've got a couple of beachheads. And that's what I was wondering.
[00:37:09] Speaker 7: Because his crotch is notorious for breaking.
[00:37:16] Speaker 4: But, and I'm not exactly sure who that dude is.
[00:37:31] Speaker 1: Uh, Roadblock. Oh, that is, uh, that's, uh, whatchamacallit. It's, uh, I think Tiger Force, right?
[00:37:39] Speaker ?: Uh, whatchamacallit.
[00:37:54] Speaker 7: What do we got over here? Is that Tunnel Rat? I don't know. These actually look like core action figures. All right. What do we got in these bags? We got some Garfields. Looks like some...
[00:38:14] Speaker ?: Yeah.
[00:38:14] Jason: It's the plushes, though. It's weird. It's the plushes that are usually more valuable than anything else. I mean, sometimes the clocks, the fishbowl. There's some, like, unique pieces that are more valuable. Right. The telephone.
[00:38:28] Speaker 1: I've got the phone. I actually, um, I've done the Metroplex collectible show a couple of times. And, well, I've done it three times. And I always take Garfield plush. Yeah. They always sell, like, quick. Always go real quick. Yeah.
[00:38:44] Speaker 2: Okay. His face is so weird looking. You see his face? It's like just a weird sculpt. Yeah. Like, constant. You're right.
[00:38:58] Jason: Yeah, an eyebrow lift.
[00:38:59] Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what it looks like.
[00:39:03] Speaker 1: Oh, these ones here? Yeah. I always liked those old Mickey Beast toys. And I think there was a box of Thundercats around here. Oh, damn.
[00:39:16] Jason: Damn. Isn't he cool? Yes, he is. Mack Tonight.
[00:39:24] Speaker 6: Mack Tonight. That was his name.
[00:39:26] Jason: The best advertising campaign ever made. Put some wrestlers in here. He's got some really cool toys, man.
[00:39:37] Speaker 1: I know. Now it's like, now it's like, this is the Mickey D toy. You know what I mean? Yes, yes.
[00:39:44] Jason: 100%. Like, back then. Very generic. Very generic. Compared to this back in the day, right? Yeah. Right? I mean, it moves. It's got character. It's got shape to it. Yeah. Color. Yeah, right?
[00:39:57] Speaker 8: I think they're doing better now, because what they're doing right now is they're taking two different franchises and they're just combining the characters.
[00:40:05] Speaker 1: Oh, like the Godzilla and the Hello Kitty.
[00:40:08] Speaker 8: That was super funny, by the way. I think they did the same thing with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, also with Hello Kitty. They're doing SpongeBob in one piece right now. That's going to be big.
[00:40:18] Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
[00:40:20] Speaker 8: But yeah, that's the kind of thing.
[00:40:21] Speaker 1: So they're doing the crossover stuff.
[00:40:26] Jason: All right, look at this guy. Which is actually brilliant, because you get two types of people interested in, you know. Right.
[00:40:33] Speaker 1: All right, so Nerds. And then we've got this guy. He's like some sort of Power Ranger. And then I think this is a Power Ranger 2. And then this is another kind of thing.
[00:40:50] Jason: It looks very similar to the, what was that, what was that show that became really popular, where they were killing each other off recently, like maybe three or four years ago? It was made over in China.
[00:41:00] Speaker 1: Oh, Squid Games. Squid Games, the creepy doll, right?
[00:41:06] Jason: Just, you know what I mean? She has the same kind of presence.
[00:41:08] Speaker 1: It does kind of look like that. Yeah. Yeah, I definitely see it.
[00:41:12] Speaker 4: And then we've got this guy here. I don't know his name.
[00:41:16] Speaker 6: He is a Remco. And then the Smurf. It's one of the Smurfs I don't have. And then we've got some raisins over here. So. And that was it? Yeah, I think so. Yeah, I think that, I think that was pretty much it. So how much would you want for this, do you know? For you, Chris, you can have them. Are you serious? Yeah, you can have them.
[00:41:44] Speaker 2: Are you serious? Yeah, for sure.
[00:41:46] Speaker 6: Oh my God, dude.
[00:41:47] Speaker 2: Yeah.
[00:41:48] Speaker 6: Thank you, man. That is, dude, I don't know what to say. That is awesome. Thank you so much, dude.
[00:41:55] Jason: I mean, just imagine the stuff we haven't even gone through yet. I know. You know what I mean? This is like, what, maybe 10 bins. Right. That's a 26 foot truck.
[00:42:02] Speaker 4: I know. I know. You got a lot of work ahead of you.
[00:42:06] Jason: It's going to be some treasures, man. Some treasures. Yeah, for sure.
[00:42:07] Speaker 1: And what's your what not again?
[00:42:09] Jason: It's questionable collectibles. Questionable collectibles, right? Yeah. So we haven't even had our first show. We're probably going to start maybe mid-November this year. Just so we can kind of get organized and get set up and stuff, but it'll be out of here. Okay. You know, and then we're going to hit the ground running. I mean, we have obviously tons of inventory, so we're probably going to try and do two shows a day, something mid-morning, something in the afternoon, five days a week, nothing on the weekends. But yeah, I mean, dude, that's awesome. Yeah, it'll be cool. I'm excited. That's real cool.
[00:42:44] Speaker 1: Awesome, man. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. Yeah. Appreciate it. Oh my God, I had such a blast hanging out with these two dudes. So easy to talk to, so relatable, so down to earth. I could definitely see myself just hanging out with these guys, man. I had a great time. So Jason, if you're watching, thank you for allowing me to come over and film all of that. And I hope everybody watching had a great time to rummaging through those bins with us. Now, I did pick up a few items and I had full intention of actually paying for the items that I picked out of the out of the bins. But Jason, out of the kindness of his heart, decided that he just wanted to gift them to me. So again, Jason, thank you very, very much. I really, really appreciate that. So let's take a look at my haul. So check this out. This is the haul that I brought back from questionable collectibles. So I ended up grabbing this Power Rangers Megazord. It's just an, it's just a figure. Like the pieces do not come off and, you know, transform into the different animals and whatnot. That'd be cool if it did. But man, this is a really awesome piece. I love it. I love the vac metal on it. Anything that's shiny always grabs my attention. I got this one down here. And I'm not even exactly sure the name of this one, but yellow is my favorite color. So yellow with the vac metal, you know, the gold vac metal, the silver, like just grabbed my attention and I had to have it. And then I got this skull looking dude and his head actually. Let's see if I can twist them around here. There we go. His head actually turns around. So he's got like two different faces. I just thought it was awesome. He's like part camo, part white, pretty cool piece. Not worth a lot of money, but still pretty cool. And then I got this smurf, which I didn't have this one. And I also picked up some California raisins. I think I'm going to gift this one to Gigi. She's in a bowling league. So that's my mother-in-law. If you're not familiar, she's in a bowling league. She's currently her, her team is in first place. So she does pretty well, I guess. She said she bowled like a 140 in one of her games yesterday or something. So I'm probably going to gift that to her. But I also picked up these raisins over here. I didn't have any of these in my collection. And then we got this little dude down here with the flat top. I didn't even know raisins had flat tops. So I got that. And then I ended up grabbing this nerds tractor trailer. It actually says, I'm going to move him out of the way here. Says Willy Wonka's nerds on the back. So I thought that was kind of fun. But yeah, I picked up a few items and really happy about it. And very, very cool of Jason to gift these to me, which just a quick reminder, the link to his whatnot is in the comments below. Just click that link and give them a follow so that you can get notified when they start going live with their shows. Again, I think it's going to be two days a week or not two days a week, two times a day, two times a day, five days a week. So you should be able to grab some pretty cool stuff.
