[00:00:00] Speaker 1: This is the $60 Toy Show Challenge. Hey, what's up? It's your boy, Burf. And in this episode, I'm hitting up the North Dallas Toy Show. Now, if you've been watching this channel for a while, you know one thing about me. When I walk into a toy show, I usually drop anywhere between $100 and $250. But not today. Today, I'm at the North Dallas Toy Show, and I've got exactly $60 in my pocket. That's it. And I've given myself one mission. Find the absolute coolest vintage toys I possibly can without spending a penny over $60. Now, that might sound easy, but if you know me, you know how hard it's going to be to walk past some of these childhood treasures without pulling out my wallet. So here's the big question. Can I actually stick to my budget? Can I actually pull this off? And more importantly, what kind of vintage goodies can I score for $60? You're going to have to stick around to the end to find out and check out some of the vintage goodness I actually brought home. Hey, I'm excited. I hope you're excited too. If you're new here, hit the subscribe button. And if you've been rocking with me for a while, hit the like button and let's roll out.
[00:01:26] Speaker 2: Check these out, man. What are these? So that is a line called Dinoid. Dinoid? Okay. It's a Korean company. Oh, really? They all combine. So he turns into a robot. Okay. All of them individually turn into a robot. Okay. And then all of them can combine into this guy to make it bigger. So do these ones
[00:01:49] Speaker 1: actually form this particular one or they're like, you know, this is a completely, completely different
[00:01:55] Speaker 2: one. Yeah. So for example, I think this guy and, um, oh, one that I already saw formed, uh, like feet. Okay. Uh, this guy and this guy can do arms. Uh, so this one, this, this guy forms like wings. Oh, okay. In the back. And this and this guy also forms like a big weapon. Yeah. These are beautiful, man.
[00:02:17] Speaker 1: They're really, really, really nice shape. They're really cool.
[00:02:23] Speaker 2: And this dirty old ratchet aid and they are. Yeah. Yeah. I love it.
[00:02:42] Speaker 3: Oh, look at these. Wow. Is that the Baroness? Yeah. That's awesome. Tomax and Zaymont.
[00:02:53] Speaker 1: Got some secret wars over here. Yeah. And some masters of the universe. Ah, beast man. Manny faces. What's this right here? It's like a superpowers. Oh yeah, it is a superpowers. Never seen that one. I don't even know who that guy is. What is it? Uh, Cy, Cyclotron.
[00:03:22] Speaker 4: Is he a rarer one? Uh, he was like from the early, like the first run. The first one. The first one. Okay. Okay. Okay. And just, he was missing the face, man.
[00:03:33] Speaker 1: But it's impossible to get him. Just the face part. I'm sure it got lost a lot. Yeah. Right.
[00:03:42] Speaker 3: Really? It's better to just buy the whole thing with the face. Yeah.
[00:03:45] Speaker 5: He's, uh, he's part of series three. Harder to find one. Okay. Yeah. He was, he was made for the line. Oh, okay. Yeah. He was a character made for the line.
[00:03:54] Speaker 1: Oh, so he didn't really exist before that. Yeah. He didn't exist into the toy line. Oh, wow. Interesting. Always learning something new.
[00:04:02] Speaker 5: Came in, uh, golden feral. Okay. Golden feral is another, they didn't exist into the toy line.
[00:04:08] Speaker 1: Yeah. I heard that whole line is pretty hard to complete. Like it is now. Yeah. I bought mine when, when, when they were, yeah, when they were still kind of cheap. All these dudes here in the back. Oh, man. Look at the eyes on that one. And that's a Shogun. I think that might be a bootleg, a bootleg one. Oh, wow. He's got the chain and everything.
[00:04:46] Speaker 3: Ooh. Look at the scareglo in there. Complete with his little comic.
[00:04:56] Speaker 6: These kind of look like those, uh,
[00:05:00] Speaker 1: those beetle bugs from, uh, what is it? Uh, the dark crystal. I don't think they are, but they kind of remind me of that. And look at this guy. I just picked this up at a toy store not too long ago, a place called Madness Comics and Games. He's really light. You would think he would be like real heavy, but he's not. He's like super, super light. Some Bucky O'Hare stuff. We've got some toxic Avengers. I think I have most of these. Oh, look at this guy. I have no idea what that is, but he's pretty neat looking. Ah, the 3D printed table. ATJS prints. Bring your universe to life. Hey, how are you doing? Good to see you again. Hey, buddy. What's going on? I'm doing all right. How are you doing?
[00:06:11] Speaker 3: Oh, look at this one. That's epic. Oh, dude, that is so cool.
[00:06:23] Speaker 1: I was just going to ask if you could put his brain in there. Oh, yeah. Oh, wow. That is fun, man. That is awesome. Oh, the Spider-Man up here. That's real cool. Man, that Hulk. That Hulk is just so spectacular. Did you see the juggernaut? Oh, my God. Oh, the juggernaut? Oh, yeah. Look at the juggernaut. What are you looking for? Are you looking for a certain flavor? Oh, yeah. And check this out, man. Mike Tyson. Oh, my God. This is so cool.
[00:07:02] Speaker 7: This is my number one seller.
[00:07:04] Speaker 1: Is it really?
[00:07:05] Speaker 7: I put that on Facebook on a place two weeks ago and I heard about 70 people reach out of there.
[00:07:09] Speaker 3: No kidding. Did you really? Wow.
[00:07:11] Speaker 7: Right now, I'm only doing orders only.
[00:07:12] Speaker 1: Wow. What do you charge for him? $69. $69, dude. Yeah, that is amazing. Yeah, I could see how that could be a big seller. Wow. Wow. Oh, wow. Look at all those. Holy cow, dude. Yeah, you found something. Yeah, I nailed it. Yeah, you nailed it for sure. Dude, that Mike Tyson 3D print was so sick. Oh, my God. Like, that thing is definitely on my Christmas list. I would love to have one of those. So that was Jim Eisenhower. He's been setting up here at the North Dallas Toy Show for a little while now. And I've bought some action figures off him in the past. I haven't bought any as 3D prints yet. But man, I want one of those Mike Tysons. So his company is ATJS Prints. I'll put it up here on the screen. So if you want to order off of him, I believe you can order through his website or reach out to him and get an order. He prints all kinds of stuff. And I think you can put in custom requests. I'm not 100% on that. But he definitely has some cool stuff on his website. So check him out. Oh, we got the Voltron. And what's this? We got some Robotech. Oh, these are Reaction. Okay. I'm across. Little ExoSquad. I'm still looking for that Super 7 O-Ring Cover Girl. I have yet to find her, man. Just kind of hoping to find her at a toy show and maybe get a better deal than what they have on eBay. Plus, I like finding stuff at shows anyway. Or flea markets or thrift stores. I do buy some stuff on eBay from time to time, but I'd rather find it out in the wild. These are cool. We've got a ton of Transformers over here. Look at these guys. Oh, look at all these Indiana Jones. Those were actually some decent prices there.
[00:09:47] Speaker 7: How are you? Good, brother. Yeah, they got a little wear and tear on them.
[00:09:52] Speaker 1: Yeah, not a bad price though. Yeah, man. Still, you know. I collected this line when it first came out. Yeah.
[00:09:59] Speaker 7: These are kind of like my doubles, if you will. Yeah. I got my run at home, so.
[00:10:04] Speaker 1: That's cool. Do you have the big playset? The, uh.
[00:10:08] Speaker 7: Well, no, I've just got a collection, like, kind of.
[00:10:13] Speaker 1: Oh, the original trading cards. Yeah, man. Oh, wow. That's cool. Where'd you find those at?
[00:10:17] Speaker 7: My dad was the printer.
[00:10:19] Speaker 1: No way. Your dad printed these? Yeah, serious. No kidding.
[00:10:23] Speaker 7: I got a case of these at home, man. Do you really? I got underneath this table. I got a couple hundred more to use. These are the little toys. Oh, yeah. Like monsters. And these are the ones that came with the Slurpees.
[00:10:32] Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
[00:10:33] Speaker 7: This is before the Pokemon guys got the rights to it. Oh, okay. And that was the whole thing. Worson took that. So this was in production for two years before Pokemon. Okay. And they took it over to Japan. And they tried to do an international distribution deal. And then when they came back from overseas, the guys in Japan said, no, we're good. They don't want to do it. Oh, wow. Really, what happened, you know, all of a sudden, because that's what Pokemon means. Pokemon means monster in my pocket. Oh, I didn't know that. I just learned something new. Yeah. Worson suit them for the next year and a half. No kidding. So that's where Pokemon came from.
[00:11:06] Speaker 1: Wow. I had no clue. That is super cool, man. What are you asking on the monsters?
[00:11:17] Speaker 7: Each one of these are 10. Okay. They're priced different. Okay. They're based on like rarity and color and all that stuff like that. They did the point scheme too, just like Pokemon did. So each one of these has a different value. Certain value based on color and all that kind of stuff. I see.
[00:11:32] Speaker 1: I see. Those are awesome, man.
[00:11:36] Speaker 7: Weird lore behind out.
[00:11:38] Speaker 1: That's so cool that your dad was involved with all that.
[00:11:40] Speaker 7: I was a kid when he, the whole thing I was.
[00:11:43] Speaker 1: Did you have all these when you were a kid? More than that.
[00:11:45] Speaker 7: I mean, we had, we had monster in my pocket everywhere, everywhere. It was absolutely nuts. Yeah. They had the original art. I remember being in the studio watching the artist do the original art for the cards. Okay.
[00:11:56] Speaker 1: Everything. Wow.
[00:11:57] Speaker 7: It was nuts, man.
[00:11:57] Speaker 1: Wow. Do you happen to have like any of the concept art or anything like that for a minute? No. You used to though?
[00:12:05] Speaker 7: No. No. My dad did. Oh, your dad did. Okay. Yeah. Years ago. Wow. Years ago. But yeah, now.
[00:12:11] Speaker 1: Amazing.
[00:12:11] Speaker 7: Lots of this stuff.
[00:12:12] Speaker 1: What's your name? Joshua. Josh. I'm Chris. Chris. Nice to meet you. You too, buddy. Do you have like an instant? Do you sell all the time or like?
[00:12:20] Speaker 8: This is our first time doing this out here. Okay. No, I don't really have, I never really bring contact stuff. I can give them a contact information. Yeah. Okay. Cool.
[00:12:30] Speaker 1: So how many of you knew that story? The connection between Pokemon and monster in my pocket? I had no clue. I had no clue. Zero knowledge on that, but I know now and knowing is half the battle, right? But yeah, what a cool story. And the fact that his dad was directly involved with monster in my pocket, he actually printed the trading cards, which I believe I've got a few of those laying around here somewhere. And I have some of the little figures, but wow, man, that is just, that is just so awesome. I just, I love learning new stuff like that. So I love going out to shows and meeting people and meeting the vendors and talking and just learning new stuff about these toys. It's like, it just brings me such great joy, but yeah, that is super cool.
[00:13:22] Speaker 3: Oh, look at this.
[00:13:24] Speaker 1: That Flintstone kids on card. It's a $3 for him. Okay. I'll take them for three. How are you doing? I'm doing good. How are you doing? There you are. There's that face. Oh, well, look at this. It looks like a storm trooper. Where'd you guys find this at?
[00:13:46] Speaker 6: We picked up a collection from a lady that owned a general store back in the day.
[00:13:55] Speaker 1: Oh, really? Wow. A general store. No kidding.
[00:13:57] Speaker 9: She just had everything. And some of the stuff she was like, when we said, she's like, I think I'll keep that.
[00:14:04] Speaker 1: Keep that. Yeah.
[00:14:05] Speaker 4: Alien. Alien.
[00:14:06] Speaker 1: What's that?
[00:14:07] Speaker 4: She had a Godzilla. Perfect condition. 66. And she also had the Alien. Oh, wow. No kidding. She wouldn't tell it.
[00:14:15] Speaker 1: The Shogun Godzilla. Yeah. Oh, wow. Wow. Yeah.
[00:14:18] Speaker 9: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Never been opened.
[00:14:21] Speaker 1: No way. Wow.
[00:14:23] Speaker 9: She's still with me.
[00:14:25] Speaker 1: Oh, my God. This is cool. And we got a GoBot here. This is the gun. What do you guys got on him?
[00:14:45] Speaker 4: No, I have no idea.
[00:14:47] Speaker 1: Okay.
[00:14:52] Speaker 3: Yeah. Okay.
[00:14:56] Speaker 1: Let me see. All right. So we're playing a game here. I'm going to look him up on eBay. And they said, whatever the eBay sold comps are, I can have them for half price. So let's see what he, let's see what he costs. All right. So most of the sold comps were around $5 plus shipping. There was like an outlier where there was like one for like $22. So we're just going to settle up on five bucks. All right. So they just pulled this guy out. I have no idea who he is. They don't know either. I said, he kind of reminds me of like Micronauts or something. So we managed to pick up our first two scores of the day. A Flintstones kids toy and a GoBots figure. So let's talk about the Flintstones kids first. This little dude right here. This is Nate Slate. Yes. The same Mr. Slate that would eventually grow up to become Fred's boss. So back in 1986, Hanna-Barbera brought us the Flintstones kids. I love this cartoon as a kid. It aired on Saturday mornings. And the whole concept is that it took Fred, Barney, Wilma, and Betty back to their childhood days in bedrock. And Coleco released an entire toy line with figures, vehicles, and play sets. And this guy right here, like I said, this is Nate Slate. And I snagged him for just $3. Now that's a pretty cool and unusual piece of 1980s Saturday morning cartoon history right there. How many of you remember the Flintstones kids? If you do, leave me a comment below. Now here's a toy you probably haven't seen or even thought of in a long time. This is the GoBots Rogun. Now here's the deal on this. Back in 1984, Arco, yes, the same Arco that made the other world toys. They introduced this guy known as Rogun. A transforming robot that eventually, eventually became part of the GoBots toy line. But here's what made this guy so freaking cool. Unlike your typical GoBots that transformed into cars or airplanes or tanks, Rogun transformed into an actual toy cap gun. Yes, a cap gun. And there were several different versions including pistols and even rifles. I mean, come on. You don't get much more 1980s than that. And that is some serious vintage toy nostalgia. And I scored him for $5. Hey, real quick before we get back to the show. Do you guys remember Jason? He's the guy I did that video on where he had that giant U-Haul parked in his driveway. And it was full of vintage toys that he had purchased from like two storage units. Well, he's doing his first WhatNot with that haul on Sunday, November 15th at 10 a.m. So, a lot of you have been messaging me saying, hey, when's he doing the WhatNot? Because I mentioned it in that video. And he just gave me the green light to say, hey, it is Sunday, November 15th. So, if you're not following Jason, there's going to be a link down in the comments below. You can click that and go follow him on WhatNot so you get notified. It starts at 10 a.m., but they're actually doing three shows that day. Three shows! So, you're going to have, you know, that first WhatNot, you're going to have at least three opportunities that same day to get some cool-ass vintage toys. Plus, they're going to be doing shows regularly throughout the week. But yeah, anyway, I'm excited for them and I'm excited for you. I hope you guys get some great deals. Click that link in the comments and let's get back to the show. We got some wrestlers over here. Oh, look at that Homer Simpson, man. Oh, my God. As Ghost Rider and he's all glowing and shit. Oh, dude, this is so awesome. Look at this guy. Oh, my God. This thing is like heavy duty, like that has to weigh over a pound. We got Bravestar. We've got some Centurions. Oh, and look at this Fred Flintstone back here with his Flintstone mobile. That looks old. It looks like there's like a Betty Rubble laying down back there. There we go. I just picked her up. Betty was falling for Fred. I love this table, too, man. It's always got real good stuff. Look at this over here. Visionaries. That's the vehicle, I guess. I didn't know they made vehicles for them. Got some Garfields. Oh, look at these Muppets. These little die cast cars are the Muppets. There's a Bob's Big Boy. We got some E.T. memorabilia over here. Some Star Wars.
[00:20:17] Speaker 4: Oh, that's fun.
[00:20:19] Speaker 1: He like takes his head off and I guess probably puts it back on. Like an animatronic. Here's some vintage Power Rangers. Yeah. Hey, what's up, Bobby? I'm doing good, man. How are you doing? It's like you got your little shop window right here.
[00:20:42] Speaker 4: A lot of people don't end up seeing me because I'm here and I'm just like, hey. Hey. Boo. All right.
[00:20:52] Speaker 1: Man, he's always got real cool stuff, too. Look at these guys over here.
[00:21:04] Speaker 3: Oh, man. I love it, dude.
[00:21:06] Speaker 1: That is so, so awesome. Oh, look at this Java. I haven't seen that one before.
[00:21:23] Speaker 3: Lots of bootlegs today at this show. Oh, here's some erasers. I think I've got all of these, actually. Got some Godzilla stuff here. Always, always looking for Godzilla stuff.
[00:21:41] Speaker 1: Oh, man. Oh, man. I see these guys all the time in thrift stores. Well, not like all the time, but I've picked up quite a few of them over the years. But I've never seen their actual. Oh, I see. They twist that. That's so fun. That's so fun, man. It's so fun. Oh, we've got some extreme dinosaurs. Elvis. Oh, look at this guy. This is like a knockoff of the Kenner Han Solo, like Hawthorn. Hawthorn. But yeah, it's like a bootleg knockoff of that. That's really interesting. One of my favorite tables at the show. This guy over here, he brings VHS all the time. It's one of my favorite tables to visit. Let's see if we've got Jetsons meet the Flintstones. Look at that. That cover is in really good shape, too. Godzilla 1985. If the cover wasn't creased, I'd probably get it. But man, I bought some really, really great condition VHS off of this guy over the last several shows.
[00:23:13] Speaker 3: Godzilla raids again.
[00:23:18] Speaker 1: So we've got Godzilla versus Mechagodzilla. And Godzilla versus Gigan. Or Gigan. I don't know how you pronounce it. Fraggle Rock with The Muppets. The Haunting of Castle Gorg. Here we've got a Mighty Mouse. With a pretty decent cover. I've never heard of this movie. But the artwork on this is amazing. Ten bucks. Yeah, I think I'm going to grab that. Here's a big top peewee that was just kind of sitting here on the end. I think I have that. All right, so I grabbed some pretty epic VHS here. I've been on a little bit of a Godzilla VHS kick lately. I've been picking them up on Marketplace. And I've purchased some on eBay. And now got some more here at the show. But I ended up grabbing this Godzilla 1985 VHS. The slip cover on it is in great condition. I couldn't pass it up. And then I also got Godzilla versus Mothra. What an epic battle that was. So happy to be adding that to the collection. And then I got this other VHS, which isn't Godzilla, but it's called Reptilicus. Now, I've never seen this movie. I've never even heard of this movie. But the artwork on this slip cover is absolutely magnificent. I couldn't pass it up. So he wanted like $10 each for each of these VHS. But because I bought three, he gave me a little bit of a deal. So I got them for $25, which means out of the $60 we've spent so far, or that we have to spend, we've spent $34 of it. So let's see what else we can get. We got a Batman Wayne Manor. I don't have that one. I think mine's like a brown color. And then we've got a Kenner Star Wars Jabba the Hutt. An AT-AT. Some more superpowers. And we got a Bravestar figure. Some He-Man buried over here. Here's a Ghostbusters. There's a GoBots. I've got this guy, but mine doesn't actually work. It takes batteries. Yeah, that's awesome, man. I forget what his name is, though. Some Sektars buried in here. And maybe a Transformer. We got some more VHS over here. This is Saturday Night Fever. John Travolta.
[00:26:26] Speaker ?: Cool.
[00:26:29] Speaker 1: I've been wanting this one, but every time I find it, the covers beat. So this one's in really good shape. So I'm going to grab that. Reality Bites. Are all the VHS right here, Steve? No. Or is there some down there, too? There's some down there. Okay. There's some down below. Okay. All right. Look at that. Dungeons and Dragons. That's awesome.
[00:27:01] Speaker 3: Oh, here's some down here.
[00:27:05] Speaker 1: Batman Forever. Batman Forever. Sylvester and Tweety. Covers are all in pretty good shape. Delta Force. Okay. Oh, here's some Dragon Balls back here. Hmm.
[00:27:36] Speaker 3: Look at these. Hmm.
[00:27:48] Speaker 8: So, you know, like, keep turning them all, like, the same way.
[00:27:52] Speaker 1: Yeah. Keep them all organized. Yeah. These are. Got these protective covers, too. Never heard of this one. The Returner. Oh, it's got a Hollywood video sticker on it. The Returner. Yeah. You got to return this back to Hollywood video or have extra fees slapped on and make sure that you be kind and rewind. Oh, wow.
[00:28:29] Speaker ?: What?
[00:28:32] Speaker 1: Brett Michaels. Is that the wrestler, Brett Michaels?
[00:28:36] Speaker 8: Yes. No, he's the same one.
[00:28:37] Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Oh, no. I'm thinking of Brett Hart. Never mind. Brett Mike. I'm thinking Shawn Michaels and Brett Hart combined. Interesting. Look at this one. The Philadelphia Experiment. This is actually a conspiracy theory that the government had some sort of device that could make things appear and disappear. It's really interesting. Probably have to grab that, too. Oh, okay. Three. Three dollars. Okay. That's cool. And then you got Pee Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special. I've got that one, but that's a cool one. Are there some down below there? What's that? Land before time. Okay. Caddyshack. This crow is in pretty good shape. I think I'm going to settle up on these. So we've got five, right? Are you asking five on the crow you said?
[00:29:40] Speaker 8: Yeah.
[00:29:40] Speaker 1: Or what were you asking on that?
[00:29:41] Speaker 8: I'll do three. So three, three. What about ten for everything? Ten? I'll do ten for everything. Okay. And then just grab another one.
[00:29:51] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Are you sure? Yeah. Um, let's see here. I saw maybe this Sylvester and Tweety.
[00:30:02] Speaker 2: Okay.
[00:30:04] Speaker 3: That looks like a fun one.
[00:30:06] Speaker 2: You got Wild Things. Wild Things.
[00:30:08] Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Let me see that. That was...
[00:30:14] Speaker 8: Then you swear to outlaw Josie Wells.
[00:30:17] Speaker 3: Okay.
[00:30:18] Speaker 2: This is kind of an interesting movie. It's got Burt Reynolds. It's called The End.
[00:30:23] Speaker ?: Oh.
[00:30:25] Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw that.
[00:30:26] Speaker 1: Is it like a comedy? Um, it's a... Like an action comedy sort of thing, maybe?
[00:30:32] Speaker 8: Well, no, it's a... What's the comedy that's, um... Sorry. It's a... It's a comedy, but it's, um... Like a thriller comedy sort of thing? No, it's... It's a... I'll think of it when you walk away. Right. But it's... It's a... And it's a... It's an edgy comedy.
[00:30:57] Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah. Okay. So he's... He's decided he's gonna kill himself. And then, in the end...
[00:31:03] Speaker 8: Why just get the movie away? Oh, yeah. In the end, he decides he doesn't want to die. Okay. Um... Spoiler alert. So it's, uh, Burt Reynolds. Yeah. And it's a good performance.
[00:31:14] Speaker 1: Yeah. That's kind of cool. I've never heard of it. Okay. When I said, let's see what else we can get. I didn't think I was going to be picking up more VHS. But I did. So I ended up getting this Godzilla. I think this was the 1998 movie. And, oh my gosh. Like, I have been hunting for this VHS for such a long time. Every single time I found it. It was the... The slipcover was just, like, destroyed on it. So this was a really, really nice slipcover. So I ended up picking this up. And then I also got The Crow. And then I picked up these other two movies. I got, uh, The Philadelphia Experiment. So I think that's based on the Conspiracy Theory Philadelphia Experiment. If you're not familiar with that, look it up. It's quite interesting. And then I got this other movie called Returner. So I have never seen either one of these last two VHS. These last two movies. So definitely looking forward to checking those out. And then I also picked up these VHS. I grabbed this Pee Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special. I already have this one. But this one was in good condition. And, I mean, the fact that I got all of these VHS for just $10. Steve, if you're watching, thanks for the hookup, man. I do appreciate it. That was just awesome. So I couldn't leave that behind. And then we got G.I. Joe Volume 1 Worlds Without End. Look at the cover on that. It's absolutely stunning. And then Steve threw these in for free. Sylvester and Tweety and Casper and Friends. So yeah, that was a nice VHS haul. So where does this put me? With the $10 that I just spent on this VHS haul. That brings me to a total of $44 spent for the day. Now, if you remember, I started the day off with $60. That means I've got $16 left in my pocket. I think I'm doing pretty good. I think I'm doing pretty, pretty good. Considering we are almost at the end of the show. I've made my rounds. I've got what I wanted. But woe is me. For temptation knocks in the name of Nick. Oh, look at the Three Stooges. That's a fun set. A complete set. Ah, look at that, man. And he talks. Skeleton Warriors. And my friend Nick, who I didn't know was here. He's a vendor. I didn't know he was here. And he just messaged me saying, "Hey, Berf, come find me. I've got a bunch of really cool bootlegs. So, I've got to find him. But we'll have to see if I can actually get anything." Ah, here he is. Nick, I didn't know you were here. Actually, I came through here earlier. Oh, you were? I didn't even see you. You got some cool bootlegs?
[00:34:24] Speaker 4: Yeah, so, um...
[00:34:26] Speaker 1: Are there any left?
[00:34:28] Speaker 4: Yeah, I put them on that table. Okay. What are these here? Crazy Clown.
[00:34:35] Speaker 1: These are Boglins. Okay.
[00:34:37] Speaker 4: Yeah, what are those, dude? What are they? They're bootlegs. Shrimp horns. And these are the insecticons, kind of. Okay. And in that part, this is the Dinobots.
[00:34:55] Speaker 1: Oh, this right here. Oh, yeah. Look at these.
[00:35:01] Speaker 3: That's hilarious. Sixty Bones. Oh, man.
[00:35:08] Speaker 1: These are cool. And there's four of them here?
[00:35:11] Speaker 4: Yes, sir. Yeah. So, it's pretty cool.
[00:35:15] Speaker 1: Do they, um... Do they connect together at all?
[00:35:17] Speaker 4: Not that I know of. Yeah. Um... Where'd you find these at? I had a buddy on Facebook.
[00:35:30] Speaker 1: Oh, you did?
[00:35:33] Speaker 4: You know how...
[00:35:34] Speaker 1: Yeah, I know how that goes, yeah.
[00:35:36] Speaker 4: I saw chains all over. I'm going to squeeze my finger. Oh, wow.
[00:35:40] Speaker 3: Those are neat, man.
[00:35:48] Speaker 1: Actually, I don't want to pull that out and break it. Those are cool. It's got Skeletor and Scareglow. What else do we got? Oh, we got some bootleg turtles. He actually gifted these to me, a set of this, like, a couple years ago. Okay. Transformable robot. Is that like the shipper box?
[00:36:12] Speaker 4: little road is there's there's a real nice one with dirty stuff in there okay yeah i know it's
[00:36:25] Speaker 1: kind of out of your way yeah i might just have to make like a special trip you know yeah nick nick nick nick nick nick nick nick nick nick what did you do to me bro what did you do to me i came in here i was on a mission i was focused i was about to accomplish my goal of spending sixty dollars or less at a toy show and you had to send me that text telling me you had bootleg transformers i bought them i bought them and they were 60 so between the 44 i already spent and the additional 60 i spent on this i spent 104 at the show the goal was 60 and i spent 104 but you know what these things are super cool man like i at the end of the day i don't care you know what i mean yeah i didn't you know accomplish my goal but hey you know sometimes uh sometimes priorities shift if you know what i get what i mean but let's take a look at these bad boys so these guys are simply called reptile invaders what a classic bootleg name i absolutely love it and they look so cool so they each come with weapons their weapons are chromed out so they really pop but we have an alligator and then we have a chameleon and i think this is the gila monster and then this thing right here is supposed to be an iguana but wow these dudes look so freaking cool and back here is like the instruction sheet that shows you how to transform them but you can see they also have another line called fighting animal they have a cheetah a lion a wildcat a tiger and a black panther and then if i flip this over we also have fighting insects we have a mantis a butterfly a dragonfly a queen bee and a regular fly and then we have invading insects mosquito hornet and moth i guess the fly would probably be part of the invading insects as well but look at these things absolutely gorgeous now i haven't actually transformed them yet but i will at some point i'm probably just not going to do it right now but yeah i just wanted to show these to you because these were definitely worth the sixty dollars i spent on them so i had a plan today sixty dollars cash in my pocket no more i was gonna prove that i could walk into a toy show spend sixty dollars or less and walk out of there with some really cool stuff and here's the thing i failed the mission i spent a hundred and four dollars yeah i pretty much busted the budget but you know what i didn't fail at the journey i met new people i learned new stuff that i didn't know i heard stories i shared laughs with people and yeah i bought a few pieces that actually made me smile and sometimes that's the real win we set goals we blow past them sometimes we set goals and we stumble or we have setbacks and we don't achieve them but if we keep moving forward and we stay open we find things that we weren't even looking for gi joe always says knowing is half the battle right well here's what i know it's okay to miss the target if you learn connect and keep moving forward today wasn't about being perfect it was about showing up chasing the joy and remembering why i love this stuff in the first place
