Can We Find Vintage Toys At The Bonham Trade Days Flea Market?

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: hey what's up it's your boy burf and i'm back baby with another epic vintage toy hunting adventure and this time we're hitting up the bonham flea market in bonham texas now listen i've never been out to the bonham flea market before but my buddy clutch has and he invited me last november which is when this video was filmed and we set out on an epic adventure when we rolled up i gotta i gotta admit that place was a lot bigger than i expected i mean the tables and the booths just stretched out like a treasure map and it felt like it went on forever so when we got there we started digging right away and we started finding toys toys from the 60s all the way through the 1990s and some really cool stuff too in fact clutch pulled an awesome a-team score and i ain't gonna lie it made me a little jealous just a little bit just a little bit because i'm such an a-team fan but i did manage to snag a few items for myself i got some nintendo memorabilia a cool flintstones item and there was this one toy that i just went back and forth on you know i just i just couldn't decide so you'll have to watch me try to negotiate a price at the very end of this video and see whether or not i actually pull the trigger on it and if i actually get it for what i wanted to get it for i'm excited i hope you're excited too if you're new here hit the subscribe button and start downsizing the collection which you know i started here in february uh of this year but uh yeah 75 i felt felt like that was a pretty good price for that considering i'd never seen one of those before ever and if there's anything i've learned from american pickers it's that if you've never seen it before you should probably buy it geez man check that out put a saddle on that thing you just like permanently in there it's not a figure like it's just permanently and i think it's just the upper part of his body but so cool i mean obviously you know i'm an a-team fan so that to me was the best score of the day awesome and uh clutch said that he was going to uh refurbish it he was going to paint a stripe on it and all that stuff and get a team written on it he's awesome man like he's like really good he's he's an artist is what he is um it's not what he does for a living but the guy is a true artist i've seen some of his other work and he's really good at that kind of stuff [00:33:57] Speaker 6: clutch was just saying that if he if he got it he put a little light up in it kind of make him glow a little bit you know make him light up a little pumpkin light [00:34:26] Speaker 3: and 15 find that british bulldog right yeah i'm not sure i want that british bulldog [00:34:35] Speaker 5: any chance you do 12. no you do 15. okay i'll just put him back on my shelf if i don't get [00:34:41] Speaker 10: yeah because he's that's where he's been yeah he's awesome i was yeah he is awesome [00:34:47] Speaker 1: wish he had the plug on the bottom of him yeah most of the time you don't find him yeah i'm an asshole i am i'm an asshole man so that that ghostbusters ghost that slimer he was 20 bucks originally i asked if she'd take 10 and she came down five dollars down to 15 and i still tried to squeeze three more dollars out of her i was like it would you take 12 12 like you're squabbling over three bucks bro like come on so anyway i ended up picking him up for 15 so let's take a look at slimer here first and then i'll show you some of the stuff i picked up from jimbo check out slimer oh my gosh this thing it's just so freaking cool i love how he lights up like when you put a light under him so the turntable here has a little light and he's got a little hole right here i think he was supposed to be like a bank but if you put that little light on him or put the lay him over the light he just starts to glow like with ectoplasm you know it definitely has that slimer from the movie feel so i'm going to turn the light on here for a second and that's what he looks like without the you know i mean the light's still going but we've got light on him but he's got like this real dark green with some light fluorescent green mixed in with him but when you turn those lights out man he just looks absolutely fantastic and i freaking love it i mean for 15 bucks what a great score okay let's take a look at what i picked up from jimbo we're going to start with this nintendo nes four score this is an accessory or an attachment that you would plug into your nintendo and it would allow you to play with up to four players instead of just the traditional two players now anytime you buy electronics at the thrift store the flea market a yard sale you're always taking a risk that the electronic doesn't work and unfortunately this one doesn't work i think i paid like five dollars for it so i'm really not out that much money it was worth the risk and to be honest it's a cool piece of nintendo history whether it works or not and who knows maybe one day i'll actually buy one that works but for right now it'll stay in the collection and then speaking of nintendo i also picked up these nintendo stickers so these stickers are from mike tyson's punch out we've got little mac and glass joe and i actually picked up a whole bunch more but unfortunately i've already stored them away somewhere and i don't have them readily available to show to you but i did pick up some pretty cool ones but these ones here were some of my favorites and then last but certainly not least we got the flintstones talking view masters reel uh unfortunately there was just one reel in it but that's not why i bought it i bought it because of the box art and that was the primary reason i mean just check that out man that is just super cool what i'm trying to figure out though is it says special brontosaurus steaks 12 cents each but dino eggs are two dollars and 49 cents each so you get a whole steak for 12 cents and you get an egg for two dollars and 49 cents what is going on but uh yeah check out that we got fred and barney and then down here we've got some more and these are uh images of what you would actually see on the reels so again i picked it up just for the box art and because it's a piece of 1960s history but how cool is that hey before i go one reminder i am going to be at the metroplex collectible show on saturday july 25th i think it's from 9 a.m to 2 p.m if i recall but i would love for you to come out and stop by my table i'm going to have lots of vintage goodies you know i'm downsizing the collection and i'm bringing the heat this time just like i did last time like i had i had people tell me i'm surprised the vendors didn't buy all your stuff before the crowd showed up because you are almost giving stuff away and i plan on giving some really great deals this time around so make sure you come on out to the metroplex collectible show on saturday july 25th and stop by my table but hey if you enjoyed watching today's video as much as i enjoyed making it for you do me a favor smash the like button it helps me out it does help the channel grow also if you're new to the channel hit the subscribe button and turn on notifications because i got a lot more great adventures coming your way in fact if you want to watch more videos just like this then check out this next video
