channel today we're outside the vintage toy monster i always love visiting this shop it's one of my favorite destinations we're going to go in see if ian's got any new stuff that we can have a gander out are you ready let's go toy hunting we're here with ian the owner how we doing charlie's holding the camera hi guys we thought we'd come in and have a look and see what what ian's been up to and what stuff he's got in at the moment because we always love visiting here it's a fantastic toy store you've built here ian oh thank you superpowers [00:01:31] Speaker 2: yeah it's always a fun one in it yeah powers love superpower stuff he's always uh always try to keep that stocks but you know sometimes some of them are really hard to get cyborg never had a cyborg yet need a cyborg um and i'll collect this line myself as well so i've got a few of these but you've got a you've got a cyborg at home no no no he's one that's eluded me only because he's quite pricey and uh [00:01:53] Speaker 1: yeah you know one day you want to come along but yeah i always like this cabinet as well down here [00:01:58] Speaker 2: because it's full of monsters monsters and sort of wacky ghostbustery stuff and street sharks karate [00:02:05] Speaker 1: kids karate kids they're cool and he's the the real ghostbusters are always cool yeah they're nice the big guy look at the big uh yeah fantastic if i could and there's a couple of them it would be him i think [00:02:16] Speaker 2: that's the original and these are repops these are yeah even the repops are pretty good but yeah they're [00:02:22] Speaker 1: good didn't they did a good job yeah they did do a good job of them coming to the uh some star wars [00:02:27] Speaker 2: a little bit of star wars you know there's a bit of everything in there always some good songs yeah i'll try to keep it topped up but it did get really low recently but we've had a few come in which is good kind of boxed you back so nice it's the early one and the later one um that was the collector series [00:02:45] Speaker 1: and that was the early one there's a jubat there there's two of them i think Ian's already said that [00:02:52] Charlie: oh okay just oh i can't get it in i can't get everything this is cool though i'll show you something [00:02:58] Speaker 2: it's 90s 90s but i mean it's not like huge value so this is the mail away and solo which you've mailed away for obviously but you had to send off pull this for destroy everything in here so i found this in an old antique center in the states but i thought i had to have it because i had that in there but look two proofs of purchasing so every kid was eating fruit loops in the 90s and this is what you would get it's pretty good that's pretty good but i think on here it says uh i think it was like one per person so you only could get one person can order it yeah and there's there is a there is a film it's called the pez detective you ever watched it i did watch it yeah well that's what he done premiums he started off with premiums didn't he yeah and and because he sent off loads and he was getting all these premiums in and then if he was selling them at shows that's where they stopped giving out more than it was his phone it was his fault so the story goes 1995 look at that are these all they're all made of waste they're all mail away yeah they're made away so i can't remember what they were from they're like the bam yeah yeah i bought those years [00:04:10] Charlie: ago they're quite rare aren't they they we didn't we didn't get them um but they didn't say look that [00:04:18] Speaker 2: was five dollars at one point yeah but they used to go for crazy money but they're not anymore they're a little bit more than that all right like 20 quid each or something there's a story of the fruit loops story of the fruit loops fruit loop story all right but yeah cool thing do you want to talk about [00:04:32] Speaker 1: anything charlie this is your section or you're all right you think star wars is your bag all right okay well you like this is the only thing you like isn't it really yeah i don't think i'm the only one [00:04:41] Speaker 2: i think it's quite it is quite popular star wars it is indeed i don't believe you so do you know what people come in and they say what's your best seller and i don't do you know what it's everything because you never know what you're going to sell for one week to the next right answer it is because you can't tell you can't go oh this was a great oh this is the best toy line it's not like when the he-man movie come out it must go but you sold loads of he-man no i haven't i sold a couple but you never know what you're going to sell from one week to the next so is that what makes it fun it does and that's why you have a little bit of everything this is always a cool [00:05:14] Speaker 1: session you've got some high high end yeah so you remember this this one here lewis yeah you remember [00:05:19] Speaker 2: this little chap um remember when you filmed it chicago and we was in the car park yeah and i said [00:05:26] Speaker 1: there's the bag man yeah the bag man it's literally a big bag man with bin bags full of full of prototypes [00:05:33] Speaker 2: and uh i haven't seen him for ages and i was mung through these bags and i pulled out two of those and he's a prototype of aquaman mattel one not super desirable but he's a prototype and i quite liked it because it's different and i pulled two of them so 85 grade which is pretty good so i kept one and one for sale on the shop so there you go that's what year were they sort of oh that one's a late one 2008 but it's still a prototype it's still you know which you don't really see much and i think this is a prototype as well i've got no authenticity of it but you feel it it's the rubber of the uh kenner um batman right the cow yeah but yeah and there's a few other bits in there which is very cool a lot of star wars man a lot of star wars cardied um some of them are graded some are not um there's a few droid figures out there they're pretty nice a few indiana jones but yeah that's that's one of my like [00:06:38] Speaker 1: nice cabinets charlie's doing a good job you're doing a good job there charlie yeah but you need to talk as well because people love your voice charlie people love you charlie so he's a phenomenon on the channel yeah i i i'm big into motor at the moment i don't know why yeah i like all the weird end of line stuff i can see up in here you've got like is that a new adventure yeah right and they're really popular now they're popular now aren't they they're more popular than the old ones yeah but you've got them all so well there's a couple in there [00:07:08] Charlie: name is adam of greyskull when good is threatened by the power of eternity [00:07:20] Speaker 1: so that's a new adventures yeah this one's a tricky one to get [00:07:24] Speaker 2: there he's got his sword 75 pounds with all these attack these at least there's always missing so unless you find them on the card very hard to find with all those accessories which are pretty [00:07:37] Speaker 1: cool so that that's he-man in yeah i can't go over that i know it's weird doesn't it looks a bit odd but yeah that's a nice piece yeah there's a couple in there i've had them a while what i do see is you've got a terracross scout yeah he's nice and he's got the clip the clip it's always missing right yeah yeah yeah he's a tricky one again and a dragon blast skeleton yeah just hiding down down there i [00:07:59] Speaker 2: don't know if it's got the hand cusp of that though but yeah these cool when these these these would have come in a twin pack um mutt ra and mumra all right um but we didn't get them here not that i know of i see old tonguey's still there he's not for sale is he yeah he's my one let me just try and squeeze him [00:08:21] Speaker 1: in there i might have the curse of lewis knocking it under hey it's a bit uncomfortable i haven't broken anything it's been 60 days of incident i like you've got a rear blast up there yeah he's nice it's a cool [00:08:38] Speaker 2: figure it's one of the end of one of the ladies i want to get with all the accessories in nice condition yeah i mean they always turn up but they always got an issue there's something like missing or broken [00:08:49] Speaker 1: or whatever and obviously there's two scare blows there yeah what's the difference that he's just missing his cape that one or he's missing his cape yeah this is quite cool but he's only got two wings [00:09:00] Speaker 2: but he's hard to find oh he's got two wings though yeah i know but they're always broken or missing [00:09:04] Speaker 1: yeah i don't think i've ever seen more anyway no at least he's got two wings there's a sealed uh double bubble there which is quite cool the buck your hair yeah sealed that you've always got some amazing stuff at the top i know you've got to look up yeah you've got to look up and keep the order i i found all of that the decent play sets are just stacked that's been here do you know what i didn't ever want [00:09:29] Speaker 2: to sell it yeah um and i'll tell you i bought that from marty from back to the retro right years ago he he brought it in with a bunch of stuff he wanted to trade and i took that off him and i said oh do you know what i'm gonna keep that um but i just left it in here it's kind of a staple in it [00:09:44] Speaker 1: as well as the the lost world sign yeah that again and i've had that in here since day one and [00:09:49] Speaker 2: it's like little things you find on your travels and i found that um at flea market so this is all you sort of call you and dinky i like the tv related stuff and i collected tv related stuff when i first started collecting and there's a few odd bits of other cars in there there's a lot of people don't realize i sell this in there but it they trickle out and i like it anyway it's a nice display yeah like this stuff hidden everywhere yeah the shadow twos they're all good they they they're quite popular and the ufo stuff that's still quite popular it's all quite popular but it's just and that customer that comes in like i said you never know what you're going to sell for one day to the next that's an interesting i don't even know who that guy is um oh god i can't hear his name um [00:10:37] Speaker 1: it must be hard having a toy shop when you've got so many toys in here to try and remember every [00:10:42] Speaker 2: single bit and and if you've had a long day in here yeah and you're a little bit dehydrated your brain goes to mush yeah so you end up forgetting half of them yeah yeah i i've had this a few times when i've had to like yeah you know something different rooms and stuff yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah and then you don't know like oh god i think oh i'll do the name i don't know the name you know you forget the [00:11:01] Speaker 1: name you're trying to sell something yeah yeah it drives just drives the scats imagine trying to remember all of the the turtles names oh you never do it would you crazy i've always liked the um been integrity yeah yeah do you ever get the deaf in you know the one that everyone wants no no he's the one everyone wants and a nice android android body there with the antenna and yeah that's [00:11:23] Speaker 2: always missing and the the plate at the front there's a box on here as well oh wow yeah box [00:11:29] Speaker 1: crayons android body yeah so i mean there's a few turtles here guys um we're not going to cover it all but no super cool dr l there as well yeah transformers move on move on so this is one of my favorite areas of the vintage toy monster simply because over here you'll have like a load of old americana stuff that i love like million dollar man and uh chips and uh you know a team there's always a team in here full of 18 and uh i do notice that you've got um yeah uh a couple of androids there yeah do you want to have a look at this have a look these are just super cool figures and i believe are these the dennis fisher ones they are yeah dennis fisher made them mid 70s yeah strawberry fair so here's a sealed [00:12:16] Speaker 2: sealed um accessory set so there you go strawberry fair strawberry fair dennis fisher and he that's [00:12:23] Speaker 1: yeah that he would have sat on he would have stood on there yeah would his feet come off then and go [00:12:29] Speaker 2: i think yeah i think so i don't like they're so fragile but look this is all the bits you could get with them yeah right cybo tracks cybo tracks cybo scanners cybo mace that sounds fun yeah mason yeah um [00:12:48] Speaker 1: i'm getting into these now and i don't know yeah that's a cool line but that this is super hard to [00:12:52] Speaker 2: find if it's sealed on the card ian is oh yeah cyber invader yeah that came in that's a lovely [00:12:58] Speaker 1: condition yeah yeah hidden completely you don't want to sell it do you well it came in recently and i [00:13:03] Speaker 2: literally had nowhere to put it and then i had to create some space to tuck him up there because you got to look in every knock and cranny in here because stuff is always buried or something and [00:13:16] Speaker 1: one trunk that's one swamp swamp swamp swamp i can't speak and the transducer sealed right sealed [00:13:24] Speaker 2: what's that monkey guy up there that believe it or not as a king comp radio from the 70s made by mattel wow mattel yeah i think it's mattel on the tag oh that's amazing they really did some amazing things they did look at that that's great isn't it he plays a rating he plays it's a radio but i've not tried it i should maybe you might get radio luxembourg on it or something right let's put him back [00:13:52] Speaker 1: do you want me to do this yeah you do because he knows he knows he knows yeah that's a cool cool cabinet this one it's funny in it the worm the one the one that turned in it yeah a bit of charlie's [00:14:06] Speaker 2: angels in there they come in the other week they're a bit tatty the cards i think we're going to start [00:14:10] Speaker 1: calling charlie's fans charlie's angels oh a bit of love boat let's put that back in there oh yeah let's have a look at these just silly little yeah they come in love boat migo on cards we didn't even get that tv show so yeah look six to collect captain steubing yeah and the doctor always a good selection bit of action man yeah yeah an action man [00:14:38] Speaker 2: anyway we had some nice action force come in but i haven't had a chance to get everything in here i saw it a couple the other week so i've got to bring some more in but yeah we had a nice collection then that's unusual to find complete um that's quite nice do you sell a lot of action force these days it's like do you know again like i said you never know what you're going to sell in there from one week to the next is that some sort of louis marx yeah action force no no he's he's he's made by louis marx they're from the 60s um early 70s and that one over there is um that's general custer right um could be yeah and at the back and the one in the back there that is um oh what's his name daniel boom [00:15:25] Speaker 1: yeah so we've never seen this guy before [00:15:30] Speaker 2: never seen this guy before so electro man electro man i think it's made by ideal there's nothing to do with action man or anything look at the size of him yeah compared him to one [00:15:41] Speaker 1: of those action mans he's like he's big he's a big chat but i like stuff like batteries in it don't [00:15:47] Speaker 2: work don't work but it needs probably tinkering someone told me this uh you can change the light could be the bulbs gone and there is instructions in there i think someone sent me a message of uh i've had to do stuff nice and clean he's minty and that's the shipping box for it yeah so there's a good chance he came from one of the catalogues uh shops in the us you know like what sort of [00:16:08] Speaker 1: year do you think like the 70s 70s yeah electro man yeah trying to know i've never seen one of those and he's watching i'll put him back yeah because he's getting nervous with me but i like the unusual [00:16:23] Speaker 2: bits like this because you know we we didn't get these so well i don't think we did so is that germian that's a germ yeah it's just no no tube just germs just a regular germ hanging around [00:16:36] Speaker 1: these are from uh dawn of the dead or something you said george romero amigo but they knew but they knew but i've got like a set night of the living dead mc toys yeah right yeah all persons who [00:16:49] Charlie: die during this crisis from whatever cause will come back to life to seek human victims they're coming [00:16:56] Speaker 2: to get you barbara never had those before they came in the little collection i'd bought and i've dug them out the box and i thought i've not seen these before but like you say you never stop learning [00:17:07] Speaker 1: there these are cool and we can't not look at the mad balls yeah a few mad balls in there got some um a couple of sculpts i've not really seen much of it yeah i've not seen him before i've sort of stopped buying the bootleggy type ones now but that one and there's one at the back there as well [00:17:23] Speaker 2: that um i haven't really seen yeah they get a bit like unusual don't they but you've got some og ones you've got hard there and uh there's an et et just is that an lj in the background an lj in [00:17:35] Speaker 1: yeah it's an lj in yeah yeah it's cool there's the uh the shogun you've always got to come and have a look at the show that was going to finish i'll try to always have one in there but you try to always have one in at all times yeah yeah super cool once you've got some tomland down here as [00:17:49] Speaker 2: well yeah there's a few tomland missing their uh accessories but they're pretty good and one's [00:17:54] Speaker 1: fell over there look is that radine do you know yeah it is right yeah getting good at this so that's [00:18:01] Speaker 2: he's got a replacement um right like you know that one there so this is uh obviously shogun [00:18:11] Speaker 1: uh warriors from the late 70s mattel mattel super core i picked up um one recently um i like them [00:18:20] Speaker 2: they're great yeah they're like a bit of pop art ain't they really yeah i love me if you've got the [00:18:25] Speaker 1: room for him but you have to stick them on top of stuff then yeah you do like roam up and yeah and [00:18:29] Speaker 2: the wheels you'd have to put saying stuff rolling off the shelf imagine that someone slamming your door and all your shogun warriors yeah you'd be crying wouldn't you yeah that's really rough [00:18:41] Speaker 1: but you've got the talking freddie up there talking freddie it's always a fan favorite that one [00:18:45] Speaker 2: yeah yeah talking freddie he's all right there's a bit of graded uh a few wrestlers wrestlers is always they're always a good line to collect yeah super secret wars the secret wars super cool yeah so you open this from that side then yeah the other side yeah so if anyone wants to say lewis [00:19:05] Speaker 1: walked in here and wanted to look at a yeah booking a point yeah have to phone ahead phone ahead i might want to look in the secret wars yeah no i normally get i'll normally i'll normally go to [00:19:18] Speaker 2: michelle could help us out a minute and then i'll get michelle collared on that um more super cool [00:19:24] Speaker 1: turtles they've really got some great turtles in there yeah i always try to keep that stocked up but uh did you say you had a couple of ed 209s in here and yeah around here there's a couple in here [00:19:36] Speaker 2: um i think i think that one's is a loose one it could be boxed and loose i'll get it out for you [00:19:43] Speaker 1: and have a look because there seems to be two there yeah i think there's one oh yeah there's two there's [00:19:48] Speaker 2: a loose one and i think that one goes with a box so you've got that one's loose and this one goes with a box um the box one there yeah if you grab that yes but no innards no innards box but the box is [00:20:08] Speaker 1: quite nice the artwork on the box is cool it's really weird that it's it's not ed 209 it's 260 260 yeah i think it's something to do with a new and improved sort of yeah it might be ed 209 [00:20:30] Speaker 2: how much is your loose one they're um in oh that's the instructions is that for that for that for that so i think this one might be the one that goes with that right and that one come in later i don't know oh no this one's this one's just 70 quid to you lewis i've been after one of these mate [00:20:51] Speaker 1: and uh i'm gonna take yeah i'm gonna take them for something yeah thank you mate yeah he's all right it's one of those it's just one of those i like this line it's kenner in it vintage kenner i've got [00:21:02] Speaker 2: i've got the car up there and it's still got the receipt in there from alders remember alders department store well this because they they were quite known all around you know they used to have one in savampton one in portsmouth and still got the retail receipt in there so when it was bought it was just tucked in there so this is quite cool though it's the mail away sealed in the bag mail away it's a rubber [00:21:26] Speaker 1: cut mail away well i guess you would have collected tokens to get i don't know the story of that one [00:21:32] Speaker 2: so yeah let us know what that was yeah if anyone knows what you had to mail away to get that figure [00:21:39] Speaker 1: and so these would have had you would be able to put caps in them yeah and you'd i'm not going to do it but it would pull the caps down and it would make a load of noise yeah like a cap gun [00:21:50] Speaker 2: sort of thing yeah you'll have to find some caps i'll never you can get caps on ebay oh yeah but [00:21:56] Speaker 1: why would you want to do that to a 30 year old make a good video footage yeah yeah rocket so you put [00:22:05] Charlie: me on the spot now on the comments if you'd like lewis to break his new toys right it's always front [00:22:10] Speaker 1: and center when you walk in here is the kraken yeah he's a favorite piece yeah but i think i think like [00:22:16] Speaker 2: well i bought this years ago this was in my own collection but someone it's either the right eyes were never painted properly or someone who painted it but i don't know but it's a weird one because he's missing the red bits in the eyes and a little the little v you know they're painting there and [00:22:32] Speaker 1: anyway all sorts of cool stuff thank you very much in i'm going to take me to an iron and uh yeah disappear oh he's cool just come in today he's cool yeah i don't know how he works but let's put him there [00:22:55] Speaker 2: what's your opening times here um so thursday to friday is 10 30 to 5 30 saturdays 10 till 5. [00:23:24] Speaker 1: if you see anything on the video that you like you have to get in contact you don't ship do you no don't ship unfortunately you have to make a visit you've got to come and visit the store monster [00:23:32] Speaker 2: it makes it more fun yeah it's great you get lost in here and uh yeah just come and visit this most [00:23:37] Speaker 1: people do appreciate you thanks charlie thanks thank you so let's have a quick look at what we picked up so today's pickup was the ed 260 from kenner's 1988 toy line now it's ed 209 from the original movie we all know it said 209 but they did make some small adjustments to make it more suitable and kid friendly i mean i have been after one of these for a while you don't really see them around at toy fairs or in toy shops the interesting thing about this toy line robocop and the ultra police was that the majority of the toys were cap firing so you could put a cap in this and you could and it looked pretty cool with the smoke coming out the back the way you'd put a cap in is you'd you'd lift that up and then you put the caps in there close that back down yeah it's super cool toy from a super cool movie franchise and i'm really happy to pick this up at the vintage toy monster and i've got the perfect spot for him so that's all i've got for the video today guys thank you very much for watching i love the vintage toy monster it is one of my favorite toy stores in the entire world and ian is always so helpful and so knowledgeable and it's a fantastic trip you should all get down there if you haven't already if you did see anything in the video that you liked i'll leave all the information below in the description on how you can get in contact with the vintage toy monster and of course guys if you did enjoy the video please don't forget to give us a like give us a thumbs up write a comment down below and i'll see you on another toy hunt
