We Hunted 3 Vintage Toy Shops in BARCELONA

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: we came to barcelona to hunt through three very different vintage toy shops hoping to find something we rarely see back home we found strange monsters obscure spanish toys and a few questionable bootlegs but was barcelona actually worth the trip toy overdose what is up you guys and welcome back to the channel today we're in beautiful barcelona and we're about to visit three vintage toy shops i'm on the lookout for some awesome spanish toys are you ready let's go toy hunting first up was retro toy store where i was hoping to find something properly spanish from the 1980s all right guys we're here and look who we've got telton we're we are in spain and we are at retro toy store i like this yeah so nadal man i think there's going to be quite a bit of that in here it's basically i believe it was spain's alternative to gi john i think so these are 1989 and their spanish version the baby basically the spanish is alternative to gi joe right and it's a spanish only brand that you can only get here yeah because the limbs seem very familiar that yeah so they've got the o-ring which is what gi joe had with the crotch yeah [00:01:43] Speaker 2: yeah there's some star wars charlton lovely every country there's always star wars isn't there yeah [00:02:05] Speaker 1: anything in here that you uh i've gone talk about you know this is your section they're nice javas not the vinyl cape javas still look cool don't they yeah and they've got some these are cool these are like i like these yeah the new adventures of he-man i think so are they like bootleg knockoffs no they're original but like it's when they brought them out again like in the 90s they retried with he-man right this was called the new adventures okay but i mean they've got some good ones at the back there oh so these are air gun now i've seen a lot of these pop up lately and i've no idea what they are but they're very cool they are cool they're almost like playmobil but bigger aren't they people are going to be screaming at me but i think there is a certain uh connection to playmobil or fisher price yeah it's had by the hands and the straight arms i mean there's some in the packet here air gun yeah i'm after the aliens wouldn't mind if there's a couple of aliens in here somewhere i think we've got got quite a ways to go but so they've got battle beasts here as well there's some luchadors they're fun aren't they yeah luchadors they'd be popular in spain right won't they yeah 10 euros i wonder if they're vintage or not they look agey don't they all right we do have a lot of fans going in here because it's very hot isn't it charm a little bit it's a little bit warm at last we checked it was 38 degrees or something it's the mad scientist blind bags there i didn't even know they did new mad scientist yes these are eight euros that seems fair don't it eight euro star wars figures charlton it's a bit of you so about six quid yeah do you need some beaters oh yeah you can never have enough those can you know you can't see a lot of this looks new so it looks very cool but new and there's a planet of the apes figure at the back there he's gone oh wow oh i think that's sheriff solar it is yeah definitely dragon ball oh my goodness what is that can you see what i see no mr t on a bank note oh wow 50 quid on a 50 pound note and it's only 20 euros it's a bargain isn't it um so that's kind of old ish it's kind of late 90s i think yeah oh look got a terminator 2 in the box nice yeah oh my god there's a boy george in the box when we saw one at the nec karma karma karma karma karma how do you price something like that oh nice and these are pretty cool this is right up your street yeah i love stuff like that you can even get the cassette you get the cassettes to go with the tiger to itself lover robots that's a little mini bbc's down here and then you come to a bigger area here so there is a lot of new stuff but there is there's sort of old stuff mixed in with everything yeah a bit of everything these are cool some sort of uh german master of the universe posters it's very warm it's very warm charlton isn't it it's too hot to be toy hunting to be honest it's sort of thing you should be having a quick drink yeah a nice cafe batman forever lots of it some batman stuff as well like the og is that the og that must be a remake too shiny total justice oh there's a return of the jedi backpack there i know who framed roger rabbit standee you were after the black series weren't you no i wasn't saying no no i'm all right for them at the moment you just you need them though don't you very rare why have you completed there's only seven million left of him right i've got to be quick okay could you tell me the price of something over here yeah i've forgotten his name i said it earlier the place 75 he's missing his uh i'm sure he's supposed to have a weapon or two all right i'm gonna leave him for now we haven't looked over here quite yet but lots of air gam stuff which i'm very interested in at the moment and these guys are pretty cool and they're the alien looking ones and to find them brand new you know in the packet like this is very nice how many is there to collect there's loads mate there's loads let's show you on the back so there's those two there's some more there i think there's many a different set of ones i like uh these guys oh yeah we didn't even see those it's spanish for action now and there's the air gang boys um uh spaceships up there and there's some madam and cosmics which i've never even seen before is that dino right yeah but spanish yeah spanish dino riders oh that's cool yeah terrible wow you see the little yeah little guy's cool wonder how much that is and you did have some real monsters here as well it's fun to see and air gang boys i'm guessing that's a vehicle in the spaceship oh it might be a display box oh wow big old spaceship be careful getting that back home yeah wouldn't want to try no i love it though these are the air gang vehicles which you've probably never seen any of this stuff before if you're trying there again i feel like i have but i don't know where not real in real life but no i think i'm gonna pick this up from you yeah 120 100 120 thank you very much are these um are these madelemen are these madelemen or the action force action for action yes yeah yeah and there's the sort of og mademans i guess behind there is tradition yeah tradition yeah yeah and they're made in spain yes yes and look at this uh that vintage yes oh yes look at that star toys made in spain star toys made it wow that's incredible how much uh how much yeah 50 euros yeah that's amazing very nice condition yeah thank you very much nice to me more being glad yes thank you retro toy store had already delivered with that air gun set charlie had gone in search of some patatas brothers so i was tackling no fate bcn on my own what's up guys we are here in no fate in barcelona in the el cant's el cant mall i think uh this is leandro who runs the place uh he's got some great stuff in here and he's got these sort of uh skeleton warriors bootlegs skeleton fighters and they're 30 euros each which seems quite a good price for me now i've been hanging out with ed from ed retro geek out long enough to know that that's unicorner um i don't know what that's all i know that's all i know what is fun but still pretty cool um there's some very like there's some uh space jam figures in here and lots of more bootleggy figures down the bottom here i think that's uh defenders of the planet um we've been in spain for a while now and there is a lot of dragon ball but i think he's got some of the vintage dragon ball here as well like this goku these are fun the uh the little hand puppets the turtles hand puppets and uh yeah he's got some great stuff some small soldiers at the back there and some terminator figures yeah these are cool he's even got uh yeah some space force streaks but he's got his whip it's 200 euros but at the back there he's got evil drax from the space force street shark line um he's got a jetpack jab with his jetpack at the back there and obviously nobilic with a hat some rambo figures he's got some american stuff and rubber carpenter terminator carded and here's a cool selection of turtles some vintage stuff with some japanese packaging mini mutant place out there which is awesome um some batman and there's some uh he-man this is a skeletal bear uh a mixed bunch down here i put that's probably madelman or action force i don't know uh some dick tracy this guy's fun up there though and uh yeah some sort of the newer bootleggy stuff there's the mod that monster sort of uh plastic boot legs and look at it it's cool i don't know what they are but they're fun yeah it's got a small little section here in this mall but i mean it's some really cool stuff if you like sort of the mexican style safubi uh bits and bobs it's really quite fun there's a some transformers some mighty max there and uh madele man madele man again the sort of spiritual spanish version of gi joe i believe some muscle more dragon ball i don't know what a lot of the rest of this stuff is but yeah it's got a vat man up there and look at the uh the my pet football monster this shirt's like the front here because this is loaded so like all of the all of the street sharp puppets there i don't even know what this is but i recognize it from somewhere but i don't know what it is and i think it's very cool um got the street shark the mecha shark with one of the shoulder pads now i used to think these were complete without the shoulder pads but they have shoulder pads these guys some of the movie star giant turtles and these are some of the vintage dragon balls e-figures that you see that's the space force street shark some bootleg look at those these teeth man no fake bcn had an amazing selection but our final stop townhouser toys looked like it might have the weirdest toys of the entire toy hunt uh here we are guys we are here in townhouser toys chance here again how's your spanish coming up now charlton gracias for words graphias four days four words four days four words one day a word uh we're in townhouser toys and um i've had a lot of recommendations to come here it's in a cool little shopping center he's got some pretty cool stuff man if you ask me there's the sign up there uh we'll start over here shall we charlton yes i don't see now i've traveled a bit now and uh i really don't know what a lot of this stuff is so this is going to be interesting i think hey i think after three years it's now a couple of items it's two it's not even two years but anyway um star trek well done mate so that that that is a star trek shelf some very cool uh bits and bobs and like the og star trek stuff up here space precinct remember that yeah now these i'm very interested in i need homing on that yeah i couldn't decide if they're new or old they're new they're sufubi bootlegs and um uh i can't remember the name of the og figures that they're they're designed on but these two at the front are definitely like it's not muscle warriors uh i can't remember but they're super cool and over here they've got the coolest egg and figure that you can find um with the skull on his head so this is a new bootleg um airgamboy it's 120 euros i also like the robocop as well i think he's the funniest yeah because he's apart from the helmet it's like he's in a space soon so these are i don't i don't know if you can class all of this fooby but i know these guys right now these guys uh melipel who make weird balls oh the same company that makes weird balls and uh mini collectums and um if you've watched the channel you'd have heard me talk about them these are sort of extraterrestrial beans made by melipel the only reason i know that is because i search on ebay for melipel stuff and this comes up all the time so it's very interesting but look at all this uh look at all the ets in there look at these guys yeah i like the ones in the packets yeah and they've got the the spring-loaded ones oh i remember those yeah over here is more sofobi i believe it's sofobi like i know people at home might be shouting at me but this looks like a terrified version of the mr peanuts right yeah the american mr peanuts there's um rat think oh no look at the sloths oh look at the sloths look at him oh wow so there's a pretty famous pvc figure that they made of these but this is obviously not pvc but he still looks very cool he's in three different colors yeah it's all new obviously but yeah how are you getting on time do you know you know what you're looking at here probably now 90 right okay good good that's the big muscle mexican lucha libre figures here is this a knockoff food fire because it's got food oh maybe mcdonald's i don't believe so but maybe yeah some more lucha libres down the bottom there it's very warm here it's particularly warm but we still have time to go toy hunting for you guys because what have i spotted down here something i know quite a bit about boikers you really only get these in europe they used to they were in america but i think they made them they made the way all the way over here this was 1987 it was in the movie big um when he was boxing and he the luckiest guy i know there's got a few in here i don't know how much they are 50 euros where's it say that i'm guessing oh you're guessing 50 yeah guess the price i'm gonna guess 40. oh no you've seen it i haven't seen all right isn't it let's see it's a bit big to get home though isn't it oh look what i've just seen nice 20 euros yeah 20 euros you'll have to buy two well they've got it's got five of them i mean is it saying you would i know you want the box i've got them all what i've got all of these oh yeah but i'm interested in the price difference oh i see so what do you pay 100 no i paid about the same oh that's 20 20 20 euros for a boinkers in a box in a box how old is it 1987. oh wow he's probably got the whole um it's probably got the whole set here as well on display yeah and these are popping up everywhere i've no idea what they are sound team bootleg 1990 made by toy island who made the robocop stuff sort of a big leg action man jo joe type thing but super cool as well 20 euros that's cool that's like 16 pounds and yeah must have a lot of them let's have a look here we've got look at the rambo card carded rambo nice yeah at the back there 125 euros yeah which you would expect american stuff over here to be a bit more expensive because it's american you see it doesn't make make its way over here too much yeah much like this universal monsters uh rafael that's super expensive super round you do not see them over here at all there's an over the top warrior there and i don't have him so i have a couple of the other ones i might have to pick him up for 15 euros yeah that's a bargain it is a bargain yeah i do like that the james bob james brown jr color in it do you like the body talk is that what you need some body talk just very unusual isn't it yeah oh they've got the migo wow wow wow he's got the amigo uh frankenstein dracula and mummy i think we'd have to buy them all look at the card look how good the cards are on them they're amazing aren't they rectangular beautiful condition now yeah oh it says blister repro right so the blister is a repro maybe the packaging's all repro maybe that's why it looks so good look they've got mad balls got them all yeah i don't know what half this stuff is it's hard we are in a different country i suppose we are these are star wars let me help you out okay go on try logo right well done i think they're reasonable price on card i have no idea 150 euros then what about down here yeah they're on it so they'll all be what we've got right but you're the star wars expert i don't know i don't know if it's didn't say made in spain it might be who knows can't really see it but behind there there's some media and the jones uh vintage that's the line i like because there's not that many is there yeah they get expensive though the play sets are very expensive like if you want to get the play sets and some pocket superheroes at the back there as well some migo there's more migo in here wow in spain you you've got respect to pvc or two they love them don't they they do love a pvc and you guys are probably going to be shouting at me saying look at that look at that but so they've got the terminator pvc i do have him there's you go on and do your bit this black series lewis's favorite yeah go on sell the audience 300 000 of those mate that's the hologram one in there is it yeah i don't know you know like when he's a ghost yeah back from the dead i do like these it's middle man they're just cool packaging aren't they they're pretty cheap and they're so random right what year would they have been they might be new you know oh what do you think what's the price i know they've got remade i know that maybe they can't be new at 75. oh that's 25. that's 75. that might be the rare one of the bunch these are a bit of you aren't they yeah they're not that they're not that new they're nice yeah they're like late 90s i like those this guy's fun doing what he is he's a doom master do you know 87 to 80 are you just making that up yeah right okay that's the newer one right yeah that's very random yeah let's just go to the front quickly we've got the um the sort of big leg gremlins like greta and uh really weird oh my god what's that alex original yeah it looks old the pieces deteriorate must make noises oh look at that these are great man they're in perfect condition i wonder how much they'd be the thing is these are american you see american universal monsters they're sort of early 90s that could be the cost of the holiday yeah so i have um i have the mummy one over there but i don't have wolfman frankenstein the creature's so cool that's better the price sure there's a bootlegger glowworm there there's sort of dying yeah i reckon those are going to be over a grand for the sun do you think yeah so um the mummy and the werewolf are 150 each frankenstein and the uh creature of 250 and they're old yeah they're old they're not they're not early 90s i don't think that's bad would you want oh you can't take them i can't take them over yeah do you have any air gun air gun air gun boys yeah where this box right oh yeah that is cool that's for the circus air gum circus yeah unfortunately it won't sit in my fit in my you as i was walking out of no fake bcn leandro the owner was very kind to give me these two kind of bootleg figures this one is skeletal and i am on a bit of a skeletal kick at the moment and he's mooning the other one is a bootleg my pet monster he's pretty cool he's got some chains that dangle so yeah thank you very much leandro these will go in my cabinets next up we bought this from townhouser toys this is a slough and it's a knockoff of the spanish pvc version i like the way it's been packaged it's got slough there it's even got a picture in the packaging and it's got townhouser toys branding on it as well as mexico and meg toys i don't know 10 bucks i just thought it was a pretty fun thing and uh yeah i like it next up we have a 1993 top warrior now this was made by manix and his name is super sumo there's eight of these to collect they're a fun line he's missing his weapon he's just a bootleg monster wrestler and i quite like the manic style bootlegs at the moment and uh he's going to fit in well with my collection and next up we do have a proper spanish toy this is a 1981 airgam boys red planet 2 pack this was part of the space series of the airgam boys now airgam started in 1976 and this is a proper spanish toy as i mentioned these toys were actually made in barcelona and i did have an inkling that i might be able to find some airgam over there the aliens are pretty cool and there's all the accessories there to find one in the box i mean this is 1981 we're talking about this looks case fresh to me so i achieved what i went over there for i wanted to find some spanish toys and i picked up a lovely airgam boys 2 pack which will sit lovely in my cabinet so that's all i've got for the video today guys thank you very much for watching we had a great time
