guys hanging so we're gonna have a look back at some european adventures that we had previously starting off with in the toy zone in holland battlecats granddad that's what [00:01:00] Speaker 3: we're we agreed 400 didn't we yeah 400 i'm out of money now ed okay toy overdose in holland so what is up you guys and welcome back to the channel today we're in harlem and we're here for in the toy zone there's going to be some cool toys here we're looking for street shots we're looking for marbles we're looking for all sorts of weird things are you ready let's go toy hunting we're on setup day for in the toy zone tomorrow in the toy zone starts they've moved to a bigger venue there's going to be pokemon there's going to be comics and there's going to be loads of vintage toys [00:02:05] Speaker 4: formation ghostbusters actually might pull out a full set i don't know is there more coming out [00:02:11] Speaker 5: filmation more filmation coming out or is that uh that's it he's cool isn't he he's cool so um [00:02:21] Speaker 1: it's like the the bad guys would look great yeah [00:02:26] Speaker 6: yeah yeah [00:02:30] Speaker 4: so the formation ghostbusters uh back in the 70s 75 something like that this was a live action show and then they brought out the film the the ghostbusters film and the guys who made the film couldn't get the rights to name until pretty pretty late on in the making of the film because obviously filmation came out first yeah and then based on the back of the success of the film these guys thought well let's make a cartoon out of our live action so there was a filmation cartoon they wanted to make a cartoon of the ghostbusters film right uh but filmation didn't give them the right because they already had the cartoon so that's why it was called the real ghostbusters right that now makes sense to me yeah so you've got the real ghostbusters cartoon and the formation cartoon and they actually call it the real ghostbusters yeah they call it they had to call it the real ghostbusters because they couldn't just call it those yeah the binder where they have a scene [00:03:26] Speaker 7: and here you have a part of the storyboard and here you have a few of the different [00:03:34] Speaker 1: wow it's impressive what sort of price would you have on something like this this brave style yeah [00:03:40] Speaker 7: normally i sell these for like 60 60 a piece a piece yeah if you want the whole liner what is of course actually you want and we i can make a stunning deal of course these are battle of the planet yeah [00:03:53] Speaker 1: battle of planets in the uk yeah and they're just original figures that are just so rare and you can't [00:03:58] Speaker 4: see if you can't see it right right basically popey right i mean popey they're the ones that made the [00:04:03] Speaker 8: yeah yeah japanese ones yeah the japanese ones got popey in the back japan in the back and the european [00:04:08] Speaker 1: ones down there right i'm just going behind leo's stall and he's got all these body walls available and things like uh an inspector gadget there which is very cool and look at the monster in my pocket mountain behind there but i really wanted to see with these street sharks here obviously they've got the hand puppet behind there which is ultra cool i don't know what he's got on it but so he's got rocks for 325 euros he's got a a slobster there in the box it's 80 euros and the shark cruiser 275 and a super slamu 300 look at the condition of that super slamu and um a jab do you know what the price is on on your ripster the ham puppet 450 450 he's amazing thank you so and in the box ripster 450 and i mean just look at all the zoids giant turtles sectors the ghostbuster stuff a lot of turtles there's a foot cruiser there foot cruiser in the box 600 euros which is amazing got all the turtles big gym stuff and so like it's just everywhere and they haven't even set up properly yet they're still setting up and just stuff hanging around in here and it's all coming out of boxes look they've got some italian goosebump stuff there so it seems like it was a great idea to come to the south because we've already made a couple of purchases i'm going to pick them up from the guys tomorrow at the proper toy fair there's a hundred stalls here tomorrow and it looks like it's going to be a great time the next time you see me we will be at the proper toy fair and we can get things cracking and we're here for the setup again there's lots of cool stuff here i think we found some bargains [00:06:59] Speaker 2: so we're and yeah let's see what i can do would there be a deal to be had on uh stair glow and what do you have on mind yourself what i have in mind yeah never ask me that at 50 euros it's nothing oh no again you get to the back of the store loads and loads of really amazing stuff i love it because of that it's just and he's always keen on price which is another reason to go so it's a brilliant shop the guy runs it's amazing it's a family business and he just has nice things that you don't see anywhere else [00:08:50] Speaker 1: yeah that's a good price 20 25 euros i think yeah so they've got some head poppers and the spitballs so i've just picked this up um managed to get it for 120 euros i just love him look it's a knockoff ultimate warrior they've also got the hulk hogan which depending on how much money i've got at the end of the day i might pick him up but 120 euros i've always wanted one of these keep seeing it in the vintage toy monster i love him i know it looks like a doll but carded gladiators some little dracula some hook stuff land of the lost tinting i mean that's pretty cool isn't it a tinting statue it's all tinting stuff i suppose it's more popular in this part of the world i think godzilla inflatable some sort of inflatable monster made by imperial oh wow look they've got the a-team combat attack gyrocopter there they are these boinkers they're like hand people that all you toy collectors will definitely know [00:29:13] Speaker 1: so we're here at leo's stall we made a sort of a pre-deal last night i'm just picking it up so this stall is always incredible right you could spend a fortune here you need a mortgage you need another mortgage on your house the amount of cool stuff this guy's got the amount of filmation ghostbusters i've seen here has been incredible and it's quite a thing in europe in the uk we hardly got any of them so yeah thank you so i've gone for the smaller stuff that will fit in your suitcase a bit more but these flying screamers i've had a couple of these i think i've completed the set now so and they were 25 euros thrown in some ljns and this thing i don't even know what it is but it's an incredible condition normally the i have seen them before because it's in italian i don't know the name of it but normally the tongues are really frayed so it's a perfect example and you can see the full range on the back there and these were made in 1992 by galoo so that's cool i've been after these for a while and so the the sort of spanish body wars italian body wars italian italian they're italian and so here they are they're amazing condition the card i bought six of them because i thought i might as well try and complete the set one of them's a double so i'm probably going to let that go at some point in the future i've also got an ljn this guy look at him doing the hip-hop pose yeah for me with obvious trouble what so basically he fell off the bubble and so he's still in in amazing condition and we picked up it's a bit of a haul we picked up a couple of street sharks and i know this guy doesn't look like a street shark but he is a series four radical bends he's not got any accessories it's a bit of a placeholder until i find one with all the bits we've got a 1995 rip rider he bites while he rolls i picked these up from retro jewelry he gave me a good deal these were off camera i also picked up a 1994 slobster now slobster has got no accessories he was part of series one the antenna are often missing from slobster i picked this up from ed ed's retro geek out it gave me a great deal 20 euros i think so thank you very much ed some balls so off leo we picked up some flying screamers now these are 1994 i already have lungs louis so i've completed the set of flying screamers leo also threw in a couple of the ljn spitballs we also picked up two of the larger giroprendi mad balls now giroprendi randomly made some mad balls in 2007 they made some smaller spitballs and they made these bigger versions their eyes are supposed to sort of pop out and they do i didn't have them so while in europe you pick up some italian mad balls also from leo i picked up this italian carded raz blaster now this was made in 1992 by galoob this guy's name is pleba flub there were six of them all in all to collect you might have seen these around normally the tongue is really frayed or it's not there at all very cool i gotta find me some more italian raz blasters another pickup and something i've been meaning to get into for a while is this cave turtle leo and his dingy dino now these were made in 1992 by playmates just a random line that they brought out he's complete he's got his critter crushing club he has his cowabunga cave boy katana now turtles is a rabbit hole that i don't really want to go down probably going to stick to the four cave turtles or they did do a bebop and an april in 1994. these are fun just picking them up when you see them it's nice to have a complete example though and next up is something i've been trying to pick up for a while it's a 1991 star toys wwf ultimate warrior now star toys is a company from spain that dealt in bootlegs and knockoffs i think they made five of these and a couple that they didn't release they also made some mini figures but they didn't have the license now all of them came with belts i believe and he is missing one of his armbands but i'm happy to pick this guy up i've been looking at these in the vintage toy monster every time i've been in there you know what i like i like big action figures i like big monsters and this star toys ultimate warrior fits right into that category my buddy vintage empire nl hooked me up with this amazing ljn freddy figure he was made in 1989 he's supposed to be indestructible you're supposed to be able to pulverize him bend him twist him i'm getting right into the ljn stuff at the moment including the gremlins the nightmare on elm street he also threw in the card it's very interesting because it shows you the spit balls and the squish them on the back there so i've got this guy i've got the spit balls i just need to squish them it's one of those really nice nightmare on elm street pieces that i'm really happy to have in the collection so i've officially lost my marbles i picked up six items that are too big for my office i'm gonna have to have a rear range i'm gonna have to try and fit them somewhere i paid 180 euros for six of these that's about 150 pounds and if you work that out individually it's 25 pound each i remember them being in the movie big my buddy dougie made me aware again of these guys existence because i'd forgotten all about them and they're basically bouncing bopping boinkers and they're hand puppets that were made in 1987 by animal fair and these have basically been sealed in a box for 37 years you can still smell the plastic from when they were made but inside it's got two buttons that you press it's a hand puppet and i mean this was one of my favorite things when i was a kid so yeah really happy to pick these up i haven't got any room for them but we'll make room i really like them so i think my favorite pickup from in the toy zone was this set of body wars figures now these are the italian versions laguera del virus they were basically brought out as mini play sets to rival mighty max and you've got things like the eye you've got the heart you've got the stomach you've got the skull and you've got the brain now i'm just missing the lung but luckily he had a double of the heart so i'm going to try and trade it for a lung at some point now whenever i've seen these in the uk a lot of the times they're on the body wars card but they do go for an awful lot of money these were made in 1994 by toy max and they're also in collaboration with those characters from cleveland those characters from cleveland made the mad balls so you can see why i might have an interest in these now the price all in all i paid on average 60 euros for each of these that works out to about 50 british pounds the cards are beautiful perfect condition sometimes it's not about nostalgia sometimes you just have to pick something up that is the bargain like i said i never had these as a child i never played with mighty max certainly didn't play with body wars i didn't really know these existed up until a couple of years ago but to pick them all up at that cheaper price with one extra that i can trade we've got them all back everything's safe and sound we're all good and i'm delighted to add these body wars to my collection what are boys and there's some really cool stuff in here so they've got like the the buckeys that are popping up on the spanish card or the yeah on the spanish card they've got some robocop stuff it's the sort of place i think you're gonna have to dig mega marines real monsters and so they've got these the street fighters on a different card to what i've been getting so that's from the movie so that's from the movie it's got paratrooper girl some gi show stuff mighty cop so i think there's a few bootlegs and knockoffs in here i mean i've seen some some of these wrestling champions which is cool and some thumb wrestler stuff here space monkeys and these spitballs are interesting so they're from 2017 so they're not old but it's cool that this sort of still making these sort of things now made by lanyard there's a couple of them so there's a los guerreros it's the trash bag isn't it and some more bootlegs i'm looking for mad balls i saw you had some jiprendi the the vending machine ones [00:40:42] Speaker 15: we didn't have time to put in the shop so this is a lot of uh stuff that came in the other week a lot of those i think we're going to see a lot of these uh the pocket horrors yeah yeah they're quite fun they're like um but they're there yeah 90s knockoff yes the car popping up everywhere how beautiful is the car is the artwork right that's why you want it look at that it's who probably got a left over pile of for factory or coleco stuff right and made their own packaging and as a real cheap toy like oh five comics and an action creature so action creature very weird got a friend who loves sect houses yeah that's very weird but look it's almost kind of there's no respect they put staples through oh yeah the comics i like it no respect no respect they're just checking staples everywhere staples inside the comic yeah so they've got different creatures so it was just around two two two two creatures and oh yeah yeah we've been trying to find out some are are the same but then you have also mixed comics and stuff so it's just chucked in really i think so just yeah probably have a couple of piles put it on there put in the back yeah but they did make a nice back background because that was like what i appeal to it so a lot it's nice to have the cabinet yeah yeah yeah i can open it for you guys thank you very much you can open the other one as well what is this going on actually yeah so yeah i picked it up in japan it's like a gross out toy is it a model kit or is it yeah what's a model kit you can you can open this and inside it's like a creature oh think the smart stuff is still fairly the key is getting it complete and it's nice to see some boxes as well obviously i'm guessing is this from the chili find of any chance no no no normally they are because they're known from it yeah but i love to see the boxes but box art was great on masks so it's something you could always rely on as being top notch and what's that my my biggest razorback i had that as a child um the doors are normally always he's broken and that but he turns into a really weird kind of um i can't even explain it like a command post but he's got a really good transformation compared to somebody it doesn't [00:51:24] Speaker 15: really transform in anything it just pops up and you have to use your imagination like you you think [00:51:29] Speaker 14: it's a command post yeah i said goliath is one of my favorite ones there's normally a car on the back like a formula one car a racing car a racing car yes it's like you get like two or three figures [00:51:38] Speaker 15: in one so it's a really cool figure but if you find the steering wheel yeah give me a call okay i've got i've got one with always gone always gone we need some steering wheels guys wheel from the from the formula one car it's always gone yeah you've got the old favorite is one right now right now it's classic and nice um all the chrome parts they tend to turn white and they company oh that's very so this one is with with with the the stickers this one is the big has the bigger stickers in there that's amazing so it was made for by dutch company too and it's just a store display you put your stickers in beautiful in it like just yeah and you sold that one too no no no no i'm not selling it that one i'm selling it 150 150 with stickers in it's nice wow what are they so have a look at the quite modest pickups that i got from the toy boys to be honest i was quite worried about space in my luggage so he had a few little bits that were perfect and he also gave us some free 18 tattoos now i don't know if i'm going to put these on at any point but they're cool now the first pickup of the day was this spitball squirter i don't know much about it it was made in 2017 by lanard toys i just really like the sculpt on it and the skull looks amazing i'm probably going to take them out the package it won't be a key ring i'll put them in with my marble somewhere or on a gross out shelf i think he'll look great another really cool pickup for me was this 1992 freddy krueger pvc figure it was made by a spanish company called yolanda and it was part of the super monsters series i think this freddy krueger figure is one of the nicer figures of the series there was 24 all in all to collect and they did do some other classics like frankenstein the wolfman i've seen these around at fairs i've never really paid too much attention to them but this freddy krueger is amazing just look at him i mean the colors are different and he's got claws on both hands and now these are the sort of things you go to europe for this is an italian exclusive mini boglins blind bag now in this bag will be a boglin a card and perhaps a catalog i'm not going to open it but it was made in 1992 by seven towns limited licensed by ideal and on the packaging it says there's 36 different molds to collect in eight different colors i've got quite a selection of them but it's nice to have one in the packet and last but not least i saw some italian themed mad balls so i had to pick them up now if you don't know about these these are juprendi mad balls and these were sold in vendor machines in europe there were two different types of juprendi mad balls there were the bigger eye poppers and there were the smaller water squirters these are the big eye poppers and they're blind bags obviously so you don't know what's in them they were made in 2009 and they've also got the american greetings logo on the bottom there obviously the company that made mad balls all over the world so yeah i bought four of them i'm not going to open them they're going to stay in my collection sealed but i've just got to find a good spot for them an apparent obsession with 80s toys has brought me all the way to harlem in the netherlands i'm hunting ghostbusters just not the ones you think i'm here for filmation ghostbusters [01:01:17] Speaker 20: toy overdose [01:01:32] Speaker 1: we've got just how rare and weird this toy line is i've asked a friend to break it down for us [01:02:54] Speaker 3: let's talk about one of the most underrated coolest and most misunderstood toy lines from the 80s the filmation ghostbusters yeah that's right these are ghostbuster toys just not the ghostbusters you're used to filmation actually had the name first they made a life action ghostbuster show back in 1975 and a decade later they brought it back as a wild over-the-top cartoon full of ghosts gadgets and a gorilla sidekick the toys were handled by shaper but mid-production shaper got bought out by taiko so the line carried that taiko branding too but here's the problem right as filmation launched their cartoon kenner's real ghostbusters based on the hit movie exploded in popularity real wasn't just branding it was a legal workaround we'd be fast and they'd be slow and it completely overshadowed filmation's version kids were confused parents were confused and filmation's toy line never stood a chance against a movie juggernaut and that's exactly why filmation ghostbusters is such a fascinating collector's line today it didn't sell well distribution was scattered across europe italy france germany the netherlands belgium and even there it showed up in small quantities vehicles and the massive ghost command play set are a nightmare to complete thanks to all the tiny breakable parts and accessories but once you do you do have one of the strangest and rarest 80s toys out there in your collection back over to you toy overdose once ed had filled my head with too much [01:04:30] Speaker is good and then we're looking at these ones as well which are the galaxy rose they're not the quicker seller but they with the dinosaurs which is without them the dinosaurs make it for me the and there's the the house up there yeah now for motion ghostbusters was an animated series that um was based off of a 70s tv show is that right yeah yeah a kind of a slapstick [01:10:01] Speaker 7: tv show and uh it's live action live action with a guy in a gorilla suit yeah and these were basically [01:10:10] Speaker 1: this um so it's eddie and jake jake they were the sons of there there were the sons so the cartoon were [01:10:17] Speaker 7: the sons of the guys who were in the live action live action yeah because when the first um um episode from the cartoon was actually that their dads get kidnapped and so they were gonna they're searching for their dance um so what are these things at the back here um those are german uh cassettes so what you will listen uh when you go on holiday in the car this is cool this sort of little study is it yeah it's it's from the from the ghost command from the house and it it's it's it comes with a lot of parts and you can put the house and if you don't display the parts so i just put the parts a little bit uh on display and what's this little guy um i forget his name but he's a talking tv he [01:11:05] Speaker 1: comes with the house yeah and this is very cool this sort of thrown room i guess yeah amazing and there's what's that car called uh scare scooter scare scooter yeah that's it very cool and it's pretty [01:11:19] Speaker 7: hard to here to sort of look at now yuri doesn't just collect filmation ghostbusters he specializes in it when you focus [01:11:41] Speaker 7: on a toy line and like okay maybe i'm gonna collect this and maybe gonna be the one who's people if they need it you need to go to this guy yeah that's the strategy i'm now doing and i also every time you buy stuff you buy a big lot of toys every time you upgrade your own collection so with the filmation i buy my my figures my house or my vehicles get better every time and it's a niche storyline no not a lot of people sell it or just lose fear and i thought yeah this is an easy toy line for me to focus on because it's not a real wide uh and you want to also be bring something different you know amaze people and and it's rare but yeah sometimes it's not that that [01:12:30] Speaker 1: rare if you look for something you know okay enough talk let's buy some toys let's have the what do you want for it conversation we've been talking for a while this is a very cool collection that i could be interested in buying i mean if we just talk through some of these bits so this is sort of the haunted mansion in it yeah of the ghostbusters yeah this flexible but it's it's thin um so they have a few points uh like here where the top is holding the bottom this will break easy and this is a part that can break easy what do you generally sell these for it depends on the color on the condition so there's yeah i sold one for like 600 euros but it was like so incomplete and you see a lot of different prices on the internet because you can't find them but sometimes they're asking like 2500 for them um i'm i'm i'm asking around 1500 they're very cool it's [01:14:10] Speaker 1: a bit out of my budget at the moment but it's great to have a look at one so originally i suggested that i might be interested that i might be interested in a complete line a complete set of the the figures yeah which we've got here almost complete uh set almost signed up to sell at the nec toy fair one of the biggest toy fairs in europe there's over 550 stools in birmingham at the nec it's my first big toy show so i wanted to take some stuff back home that some uk collectors might not see and put it on my stool as well as selling off big parts of my toy collection i've run out of room i need to find some more room and the only way as collectors we can do that is to sell on some more of the stuff that you don't really want some stuff that you may have bought in the past so let's see if we can find some decent stuff to take back to bring to the uk to those uk collectors yeah these ones you don't see very often what here versions right yeah the coloring oh they're great aren't they also these guns are always broken all right still nice patino yeah yeah the chrome's nice still yeah i love this one a favorite i mean to get look at the amount of accessories it's got as well yeah look at the a-team stuff that's really cool a team complete loose they've displayed them really well they look really cool the thing is with holland is the amount of bootlegs and stuff but i don't know what it is it's a lot of motor here look at him that's very cool a proper i mean whisper it but it's almost a proper job like i'm professional sounds like a fun job but it is amazing it's great fun but no if you were doing it to make money you're a fool quite frankly and all these toys here these guys will have invested their time into to making sure they're correct to make sure there are no issues everything you see has been loved and then put out and put it look at this and put a case together they've got cases inside the cases all of this stuff costs money a lot of costs in toys there is some money to making toys but that's not the reason why most of us do it most of us do it because we love it and that's what i'm here for i love i get much of a kick out of buying less bum bum as i do a buying smith genuinely worth a lot of money in fact quite often i'd rather have a load of small stuff that isn't worth as much because it's it's quicker to sell and it means you can get more excited about more things so you know more expensive isn't always best i'll be honest i've reserved something here but i saw this earlier and it's not for me it's for matt rastom out of the shop it's a present for him but this is the mexican stall so they've come so these are spanish yeah fancy so like little playmobile people can you look at them they're nice made aren't they they're beautiful yeah and they they suffer quite often with they they're quite brittle and they come apart this is quite full i like that if i like it enough to spend lots of money on it but i like it enough to kind of go oh i like it look at all the carded uh the box gummy bears and i know i sold some in uh germany last time i was there i sold a couple there so american guys there was one in here earlier okay now that is something if you're going to the states pick these up these are 15 euros i believe oh 18 on that one 15 on that one these will sell for comfortably more than that in the us it's still a line that's really good over there they're not kenner are they they were kenner over there yeah but they're they're a line that's still out there now so rainbow bright stuff is very very good in the us and really if i was a more clever toy there what i'd do if you look on the back there it's got the bad guys are super cool yeah the bad guys that's the bad guys yes cool but these are in great condition they're on card um i think i'm going to take these to the nec in um december uh for something nice to put on the yeah on the table on the table yes because we don't see a lot of these in the uk and they're normally overpriced so i'm going to try and jack black i've got a thing for jack black at the moment i like collecting these action figures now this is a custom made by lucha toys and toy creed he is going to go pride of place in the collection look at that grin big shout out to toy creed for the nacho libre keychain which is going to hang in my car i love it thank you very much guys next up we have tracy the gorilla and fangster from the filmation ghostbusters line these toys were made in 1986 by shaper i did a whole vid on these last week so please go and check it out tracy's missing his backpack and so is fangster but tracy does have his weapon i picked these up pretty cheap and i think they're worth picking up at the moment i also picked up a complete set of yolanda pbcs from the filmation ghostbusters line these were made in 1987 yolanda from spain and they also made things like super monstrous it's complete set they've all got the backpacks the rest are in this bag thank you very much peter from the toy boys for the hookup next up we have the kenner aliens power loader this was made in 1992 it's one of those iconic toys i think i think it's great it is missing a missile at the top there and i'm missing ripley but i don't think i'm going to get ripley i think sharp anjo sits in there quite nicely like they say if the glove fits also managed to pick up a pool shark ripster strangely enough i don't have one of these i've been waiting to get one complete but they seem to be really hard to find ripster is a street shark made in 1995 by mattel he was part of series four and yeah he's missing his billboard queue he's missing two bonds he's missing a pair of sunglasses but he's in great condition like i said i didn't have him so i thought i'd pick him up to put him in the collection next up we have the sylvester stallone a hand puppet now this is a bootleg from the early 90s he's got a red bandana on so i assume it's rambo i only bought him because he'll go well with my hulk hogan i just need a mr t now i think and next up i'm pretty happy with this i'm on a bit of a kick to collect all sorts of knight rider and 18 sort of bootlegs and knockoffs i believe this is a ming yin vintage bootleg knight rider bump and go car it was made in the early 80s this super knight is modeled more on a nissan 300 zx rather than a pontiac fiber trans am and he actually works let's get some batteries in him well it's a bit crazy to be honest it goes it goes all over the place yeah it's working all right he's nuts next up we have the stone protectors moen surf attack scooter i'm not really sure why i picked this up i thought it was a cool looking toy so the innards are in unused condition uh it's not sealed but inside it's all still cable tied stone protectors was a tv series in 1993 they brought out two series of figures and a whole bunch of vehicles it didn't do very well and as such it was cancelled for 35 dollars i'm sure i'll be able to trade this with someone for something or i might take him off the card and put a freddy grueger with him who knows swat cats or katie volante as this is an italian card we've got razor and we've got t-bone the cards on these are beautiful they were made in 1994 by remco the italian cards are distributed by gig on the back you've got the good guys and the bad guys got dr viper which is a really cool figure and dark cat it was an animated series back in 1994 and last of the two series it didn't do very well again but these sort of toys get rare because there's not so many of them made these figures are really really cool and the sculpts on them are brilliant the colors are absolutely fantastic i'll be taking these to the nec to see if anyone wants them this guy is a vintage eight inch gigantor commonly known as jigglers these jigglers have normally got a piece of string or something attached to them so they can hang up on things unfortunately this guy's is broken i've been after one of these for a very long time thanks to juren for the deal on this there are a couple of other color variants to this so i'll be keeping an eye out for those as well i think he's great and next up we probably have my favorite pick up of the day which is the 1983 akamas toys iron jaw from the cosmic cowboys range now they didn't produce a cartoon they sort of came out of their own accord the backstory to these figures was on the packaging and because of a lack of a multimedia push and lack of tv time these toys really didn't do very well to find an angel which is kind of the gem of the line in such good condition now i know he's got some blue markings on his face but the belt and the holsters are all in amazing condition and both the guns are there it's a complete iron jaw like i said i probably won't be collecting any of the other figures in the line but who knows if one crops up i might take the opportunity but he's just a cool skull cowboy man in this episode we're at a space oddity in the heart of amsterdam story no it's a star what but you've been here quite a long time haven't you [02:06:41] Speaker 25: yeah 35 years hence there's a 35 year store uh i started 1 october 1990 1990 yeah i saw store and before i did already sci-fi shows in the uk in the late 80s with my parents i attend and uh buying [02:07:00] Speaker 1: selling yeah so like you said before this is in your blood this this sort of thing and having a shop and dealing with vintage toys and but you deal with a lot more new toys now don't you these days yeah [02:07:08] Speaker 25: because the market changed and i have to make you know a living with my family of five yeah and pay the bills and i started in 1990 on the antique center in amsterdam is that you this is a young me wow when i was just 20 years old wow and i was selling my private collection of robots there and that's the was an interview with me and that's how long you've been doing yeah with a big bandai robot oh wow look at that yeah but that was my start uh so most of this is popey is this uh the ones in the [02:07:38] Speaker 1: the back of popey and bullmark all right cool so basically guys this is a sort of cabinet cabinet of japanese robots you got some popey and you got some marathon is it marathon did you say no i thought [02:07:52] Speaker 25: it was just check i forgot i don't know right it's uh this brand taketoku yeah this is really nice this is from the mid 70s wow and just uh dead mint condition and never uh never played with but it's like a sort of dice it's a dice yeah and you can make a robot out of it all right yeah it's beautiful very interesting yeah cool this stuff a lot of old some retro some retro robots but these are the from tommy all the original books and the japanese tommy robots and these are also the original uh popey uh shogun the the tetsujin are they so they're original paper shoguns yeah this is like the original beautiful what sort of prices have you got on those three in particular this one is asked 250 and uh i think this one is also about 100 oh sorry 150 i think the other one also about 150 or something they're beautiful yeah yeah it's beautiful yeah it's beautiful i like the it's a sort of piece of art also it is because yeah i guess also and this is also beautiful this one is this is from king joe from ultraman [02:09:15] Speaker 1: and this yeah if you shot off the chrome is really nice from the 70s you know just like the wind-up skull man they're very popular at the moment wind-ups little small wind-ups like the godzilla's and things like that okay um do you know how much it is no no i don't know how well very well light as well but very well lit but some of this crumbling stuff's great like these random things a mascot strap i don't know some chockeys in here they've got the they've got them with let's get onto those pickups so guys obviously a very heavy mad balls inspired pickup from a space oddity although not a mad ball in sight because technically these are knockoffs and bootlegs and blurt balls oh my first up we've got a knockoff r now r is part of the series one mad balls there he is right there and there were various knockoffs and bootlegs produced of this character in the 80s this is probably one of the most common knockoff mad ball sculpts you're going to see but for 25 euros i'm going to pick up bootleg mad balls all day long next up we have what i consider to be a bootleg blurt ball now this would have been made in the early 90s to coincide with blurt balls you can see with the blurt balls they've got these little characters in their mouths that spit out when you squeeze them now this guy when i picked them up in a space oddity had this character in his mouth on further research and i don't know why i didn't pick it up at the time but this is actually an innard for a blurt ball now this is for tyrannosaurus wretch which is this blurt ball there there he is inside there now jeff did actually have a tyrannosaurus wretch there and i thought he was missing the innard but there's the innard for him so jeff if i come back in may to win the toy zone maybe i'll pick the other one up off you and make a complete burt ball so obviously this guy is missing an innard i'll flash up a picture now of what it looks like i was really excited to find one of these in Amsterdam i've been looking for one of these for a while the chances of finding his inside is going to be very difficult but i got one i think it's very cool and he's going to go very nice in the collection now next we come on to the blurt balls which were made in 1993 by ertl they came on an english card and they also came on a more common italian card which i've got right here this guy is count heaver heart this guy is pitui suey and this guy is bony toss teeth i've been looking for a bony toss teeth for a very long time so i was really happy to pick him up over there i think he's the best one and look at the teeth on him so you squeeze these burt balls and the innards fly out but i really love burt balls and i'm slowly building up a loose collection and i'm going to get rid of my carded collection well you made it this far thank you very much for watching
