"Hey, we did it. Did we learn anything? Nope. Nope. We're not here to learn. Look at all these comments. I haven't seen any of your comments. You're all so funny. Yeah. Because it was blocked. It was gone. Our monitor. I don't know. The lens cap was on. It may have been. It may have been. But then..."

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Hey, we did it. [00:00:02] Speaker 2: Did we learn anything? [00:00:03] Speaker 3: Nope. [00:00:04] Speaker 1: Nope. We're not here to learn. Look at all these comments. [00:00:10] Speaker 4: I haven't seen any of your comments. [00:00:11] Speaker 1: You're all so funny. Yeah. Because it was blocked. It was gone. Our monitor. I don't know. [00:00:15] Speaker 3: The lens cap was on. [00:00:17] Speaker 1: It may have been. It may have been. [00:00:19] Speaker 4: But then how could I have been? [00:00:21] Speaker 2: Why would we have been frozen? It was a joke. Kill me. Well, I knew it was a joke. [00:00:27] Speaker 3: Somebody said it in the comment. So I just, yeah, we had the lens cap. Get around with it. Well, we know. [00:00:33] Speaker 2: I haven't seen it. I can't see any of these comments. [00:00:38] Speaker 1: They're coming in too fast. [00:00:40] Speaker 2: I'm very appreciative that you guys waited through this utter chaos. Somebody gave us, I can't tell. Five bucks. Yeah, but who? I can't even see it. I don't know. To thank them. [00:00:53] Speaker 3: Thank you for the five dollars. [00:00:56] Speaker 2: What is Travis's mom didn't call? I don't understand. I don't know. Ryan's formula failed. No, it didn't, Cuban Assassin. They didn't use my formula. And that's why it failed. Oh, Zardoz. Oh, Zardoz. [00:01:08] Speaker 1: Zardoz. Zardoz. [00:01:10] Speaker 2: If they used my formula, we wouldn't have frozen. There would have been sound. Probably. This one goes here. That one goes there. This is great. All right. I want to open up a toy store in Oklahoma City. Can I use the Toy Federation name? You guys franchise it out to me. One million dollars. Yep. Plus tax. [00:01:28] Speaker 3: A million each? A million each? Yeah. [00:01:30] Speaker 2: No, I get asked that a lot, but I would have to be personally involved somehow because it would be my name and then it would just be a nightmare. [00:01:38] Speaker 3: What if it was a numbering system? That way, you automatically lowered the expectations. Oh, this is only Toy Federation 2, so it's not as good as one. [00:01:48] Speaker 2: No, I get literally, I get asked all the time. And, you know, at one point I was like, well, you know, Toys R Us started as one store. And then I saw an old interview. We talked about this. And then they said, how did you get to where you had so many stores? And he was in Europe and he was everywhere. And he's like, the hardest part was figuring out how to duplicate it. And once you did that, then it was easy. [00:02:11] Speaker 3: I just don't know how we could duplicate stuff like the vintage stuff that we would deal with. You'd have to. It's knowledge. [00:02:17] Speaker 2: I'd have to move there and live there for six months, train everybody on how everything, but then they still wouldn't necessarily have the knowledge. So then you would have to be there and train and teach and then you'd be, it would just be tough. Hello from Phoenix, Arizona. Cool. What is the rarest thing that came into the shop this last month? A vinyl cape Jawa and a graded yak face came in in the last two weeks. Yep. So that's probably as rare as you can get, at least in the Star Wars world. Yep. They saw the MOTU movie. I haven't. They both thought it was great. [00:02:56] Speaker 1: It was great. Watch it three times now. Doctor? Doctor. [00:03:01] Speaker 2: I was entering in the dark as well. Toy Entertainment. All right. My favorite video was the new expansion, but podcast was all of them. Nice. Retro Parts Con, right? Yeah, that will not happen. [00:03:13] Speaker 1: No, no, no, no. [00:03:14] Speaker 2: All right. Retro guests, please. We were finalizing the September show, which I hope some of you can attend. It's, I have some really killer toy vendors this year. I had killer ones last year. It's a sleeper show. I mean, it's, it's good stuff. Eighty percent of my November vendors are there. I will not ship anything on Sunday. I'm a fast learner. Oh, hey, from Ohio. Cool. Broken Glasses Retro Gaming. Cool. Yeah, you have a small crew, but they're awesome. You are right. Thank you. Southport, UK. Awesome. Cool. Spider-Man movie is better. Now, you, did you see it? Yep. [00:03:53] Speaker 3: I did. Yeah. That's good. Oh, yeah. We went and saw it. That's great. Yeah. [00:03:59] Speaker 2: Somebody said they picked up a Boulder Hill for 180, only missing the pump hoses. Yeah, you can pick those up. The V-shirt, right? T-Public. [00:04:06] Speaker 3: T-Public. You can know. [00:04:08] Speaker 2: It's hard to search for a V-shirt because if you just type V, it's just, there's too much crap comes up. So it's like, you got to scroll. [00:04:15] Speaker 3: Thanks to T-Public, you can be no longer jealous. [00:04:18] Speaker 2: Greetings from New Zealand. Glad you made it back. 11.30 a.m. What's going on? 11.30 a.m. Start on a Friday over here. I'm meant to be working, so technically I get paid to watch. That's awesome. Fantastic. That's even better. Greetings from Los Angeles. Did you ever install the cockpit? Ah, man. I haven't. I haven't. I want to. I still want to catch up with everybody. Hey, guys. Sorry I'm late. A lot of time. Hey, we started late. This is the third attempt to go live. I built a ship out of parts. I'm coming for you. What do you guys think of Danny McBride? I'm super excited for Danny McBride. He seems like he's a real fan. We'll see how it goes. And he's welcome to Springfield. And he's just funny. But I mean, not like he's going to be in it. Much love from Canada. Mlutzi, $5. Awesome. Vintage vacuum cleaner only at Toy Fed. I have the old. I have two vacuums. I have the old one. It's getting vintage. It is vintage. The hose is breaking. I have to hold it, cup it in my hand. Why don't you duct tape it? You know when you separate it to do the... Yeah. Yeah. [00:05:23] Speaker 1: But I have the old timey... You got that gorilla tape. That's true. That stuff's strong. [00:05:27] Speaker 2: We already... You repaired something in it. Somebody post the STO files of the counter-prototype alien dropship. I did see somebody... Yeah, I saw somebody did that. I guess it was an unreleased dropship. Somebody, I don't know, made the files or scanned the original. Nashville, Tennessee. Awesome. Enjoy the show. I was curious if you guys thought in the not-so-distant future the value of these 80s toys will drop. Because people age out. I mean, there's definitely... I mean, does anybody care about Howdy Doody toys? Or... No. So, I mean, there's always... They Howdy Donty. But, I mean, if you want to look at comics, I mean, it's like the first Spider-Man, it keeps going up, or the first Batman. [00:06:17] Speaker 3: But it stayed relevant, whereas Howdy Doody... Yeah. Oh, relative properties. Yeah, yeah. Still going. If somehow Howdy Doody had a show on TV now, maybe it would be popular. Probably not. But... [00:06:28] Speaker 2: Vintage Star Wars hasn't gone anywhere. No. And G.I. Joe is still moving. But, I mean, yeah. [00:06:35] Speaker 3: What up from Dairyland? Anyone seen Spider-Man yet? Better than Odyssey. Also a great movie. We did see Spider-Man. It was great. It was good. That's spoilers. It was great when Batman showed up, though. [00:06:43] Speaker 2: We do have girls' toys. You're right. They just don't come in as often as we would like, but we do have a case. Oh. Oh, Holy Mackerel. 20 bucks. East Texas. Awesome. Ricky Boone. Thank you so much. Thank you. I respect the Doody. Hey, guys. Tuning in from Tasmania. Holy Mackerel. Oh, nice. Sacramento. Love it. Devil's there, right here. Hiya from Boston. [00:07:06] Speaker 3: Yeah, Boston. Howdy Doody. Howdy Doody became Pixar's Woody. That's accurate. Yeah, there you go. [00:07:13] Speaker 2: And Toy Story is relevant. Ryan, how are you coming on your personal? So I have all the figures done. And then now I'm starting to get into some of the foreign stuff, which is horrible. But I have to run into them. I'm not going on eBay or anything. Vintage, baby. That's right. That's right. Toledo, Ohio. Cool. I was there yesterday from Virginia. Best toy store I've seen. Cool. The Devastator. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you, man. [00:07:42] Speaker 1: Yeah. Devastator and Perceptor, I believe. [00:07:46] Speaker 3: Can I get your autographs at Retro Horicon? Yeah, if you want them. Mine and Andy's will probably be easy. You'll have to find Ryan. [00:07:54] Speaker 1: Yeah, you've got to track him down and hold him down and provide him a pen. [00:07:58] Speaker 3: He literally only partially exists. He's vibrating from one side of the show to the other. [00:08:01] Speaker 1: It's like the flash phasing through walls. [00:08:04] Speaker 2: I don't stand in one place very long. [00:08:06] Speaker 1: No. Especially when you need to answer something. [00:08:09] Speaker 2: Did we get any canceled Target Starscreams? [00:08:11] Speaker 1: Do we know what that is? No, that's the whole debacle. Yeah. I think that's like the reissue of 86 Starscream. Like, everyone's getting canceled. [00:08:18] Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh. But I order everything, so that means I'd get it. Oh, but it was Target exclusive. Yeah. Yeah. [00:08:25] Speaker 1: That's the first problem right there. [00:08:26] Speaker 2: Best G.I. Joe movies, Predator. It's a good movie. Hail from the Secret Space Program military base on Mars. Nice. What do you think about the King of Collectibles show? Your show is better, by the way. So that, I did watch it on Netflix. That's the golden thing, right? [00:08:44] Speaker 3: Is that the guy that gets all the graded collectibles that are like really? [00:08:48] Speaker 2: I think he sold, who's the Pokemon, the guy who had the card around his neck? Logan Paul. Logan Paul. I think they sold his card. Not interested. No. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it just looked heavily scripted. That's about all I could say. Yeah. Stompers, Animal, or Bigfoot? [00:09:04] Speaker 1: Bigfoot, the Cryptid. Bigfoot. [00:09:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, but those are all those toys. Yeah, but I'm going Cryptid. The Animal was kind of cool, though, because didn't the claws come out of it? Yeah. I don't know the tires. But I did like Stompers. I had those as a kid. Yeah. Hey, Travis, any artworks you've been working on? Eventually. Someday. Someday. Oh, wait, hold on, hold on. I'll get autographs on Funko Pops. Yeah, no, I don't not have, I would, yeah. Yeah. Put me to pasture if I have a Funko Pop. Yeah. You should do a singing session. I cannot sing for crap. [00:09:36] Speaker 1: Oh, wait, something about Coffin Creeps. There is karaoke. [00:09:40] Speaker 3: Those Coffin Creeps exclusives look awesome. They are awesome. [00:09:43] Speaker 2: So if you don't know about Coffin Creeps, so it's run by Peggy D. His name's Matt, but he works, or he owns Coffin Creeps, and he's, what is it, Rob Zombie's guitarist? That's what you told me. Yeah, Manson. He's Manson. [00:09:57] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:09:57] Speaker 2: They're really cool, and we have the exclusive run of all the black and whites. [00:10:00] Speaker 3: Yeah, they're going to be awesome. You'll get them because they look good. [00:10:03] Speaker ?: They look good. They look good. They look good. [00:10:03] Speaker 3: They look good at the show. [00:10:03] Speaker 1: They light up. They talk. Yeah, well, there you go. Target. [00:10:07] Speaker 2: Yeah, but the Ninja Force, weren't those the reactions? [00:10:11] Speaker 1: No, they're two-pack classifieds. [00:10:13] Speaker 2: And they canceled them? [00:10:14] Speaker 1: I mean, if people are saying they are, I guess they are. [00:10:16] Speaker 3: They'll show up somewhere else. [00:10:18] Speaker 2: Brian can sign my Jordan rookie. Yeah, you would not want me to do that. We don't have that crowd. [00:10:24] Speaker 1: No. [00:10:25] Speaker 2: No, that would be horrible. I would ruin your thing. Do you have any Four Horsemen figures? Do we? Do we? As far as I know, I'm the only store in South Carolina that has the Four Horsemen stuff. We order everything, and we have a section for it, and then we have a nice glass display case of all them loose on display. [00:10:43] Speaker 3: Quite a bit. [00:10:44] Speaker 2: Billy and Spirit. Oh, Billy. Oh, Billy. Oh, wait. Does replacing the band in a vintage Mego make them less desirable? No. No. [00:10:52] Speaker 3: Wait, wait. A band in a Mego 3.75? Oh, like Black Hole. I'm thinking like comic action. Hey, wait. Logic Blaster. $10. Thank you. [00:11:02] Speaker 2: Absolutely love your channel. Thank you. Always enjoy it when you say, this is always broken. Some people don't. Yeah, some people say I'm like dogging on the thing, but I'm pointing things out. [00:11:13] Speaker 3: Or dogging on English. Will you sign my Boba Fett with Rocket Fire and Boba Fett? Certainly. Yes. [00:11:18] Speaker 2: Wow. If you have an extra, I would like it. [00:11:20] Speaker 3: I will ruin it. [00:11:22] Speaker 2: Would you guys ever be interested in working on another feature film? Sure. Maybe. Is it like Greasy Strangler? Because that'd be great. You'd have to drag Andy in kicking it screaming. Andy will refuse to be in it. [00:11:36] Speaker 3: How greasy this is, Andy. [00:11:37] Speaker 2: You can work the hot dog stand. [00:11:40] Speaker 1: I tried watching it. Andy, we're going to dunk our dog. I tried watching it. [00:11:45] Speaker 2: We're going to dunk all on you. Do you guys get... So we're bringing the Greasy Strangler guys. How cool is that? Because I don't know if you guys have seen the movie. It's terribly bad good. And we're bringing both Sky Allabar and Michael St. Michael, who has an awesome name because there's two Michaels in it. [00:12:01] Speaker 3: It's a bad movie. It's good, though. But it gets good when you show other people because then they suffer. It's so good. And then it's fun. Do we get vintage Lego? [00:12:09] Speaker 2: Do you guys get much vintage Lego? It usually comes in waves. We're lacking on Lego right now. [00:12:15] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:12:16] Speaker 2: Any hot takes on Kenner toys before they were king? Before Star Wars? Battle bugs, gladiators, for example. I'm not sure I'm following the question. Any hot takes on Kenner before they were king? Like, I mean, Kenner was king for a while. [00:12:31] Speaker 3: All I know is they were fun. [00:12:33] Speaker 2: It's Kenner, right? [00:12:34] Speaker 1: You're right. [00:12:36] Speaker 2: I see you guys sell Bakugan on eBay. Do you guys have any success? No. [00:12:39] Speaker 1: There's a reason they're on eBay. Yeah. [00:12:41] Speaker 2: Yeah, nobody buys Bakugan in the store. So whatever we do have, it works its way to eBay. When Ryan was a kid, did all of the other kids say he looked like that? They did. So when I was in... Stunt double. When I went to this small elementary school and I needed a PE class and there wasn't one... I forget what the reasoning was. I think because I had this, like, breakout where I couldn't come to school. Like, I was allergic to something. I had this rash and we didn't know what it was. And they thought it was allergic. You know, they prick your skin and you find out what you're allergic to. Oh, right, right, right, right. And so then I missed a good portion of school and then I had to get this PE class in. So then I did PE. I helped a PE teacher. But if I'm, like, 10, the kids are, like, 7 or they're 8 or whatever. [00:13:36] Speaker 1: So you have to crush it at dodgeball. [00:13:37] Speaker 2: So then I'm, like, her assistant. And all the kids would say, like, I was a karate kid. Because the movie was out. And I looked like him. So I got that with little kids who had no stake in anything. [00:13:57] Speaker 3: Chris Miller, did you watch Virus yet? We did, but I forgot it. I watched it recently. I forgot it. Yeah, I just watched it. That's how the movie works. [00:14:05] Speaker 2: I watched it recently. There's some good practical effects. Do you guys carry Battlestar Galactica? I've ordered the new stuff. Is that factory entertainment? [00:14:16] Speaker 3: I guess so. Yeah, I think so. [00:14:18] Speaker 2: I ordered it. The vintage, I don't have anything at the moment. [00:14:22] Speaker 1: It goes. [00:14:24] Speaker 2: Kenner Beast Wars got me back into collecting. There's some really good stuff. Yeah, some pricey pieces, too. Some variant colored. Oh, and Ryan, when you lived in Florida, did you ever go to Tarpon Springs? Or the Wiki Watch? No, I didn't. No, I know of that. I didn't. There used to be a Six Flags in South Florida or Fort Lauderdale. But then they closed down when I was young. Sealed Visionaries, we do not have any at the moment. Any word on the Odyssey? Toy line? Is there an Odyssey toy line? If there is, I don't know. [00:15:00] Speaker 3: I doubt it. [00:15:01] Speaker 2: Hey, watching you from the Poconos. So I went to Pocono Highlands Camp. There was a camp there. I don't know if it still exists, but I went like three summers in a row. I hated it at the time because I wanted to be home with my friends and my parents sent me there. But it was, looking back, it was a great experience. What do you think of the Mythic Legion's fan base? I mean, I know they're rabid for their hardcore. [00:15:27] Speaker 3: You can never tell which ones are going to really take off versus ones that don't. [00:15:31] Speaker 1: I mean, the new stuff, it just keeps getting gutted and going up. [00:15:34] Speaker 2: All the newest waves are going nuts. I can tell you that. Arthur Burghardt at Retro Horror. [00:15:40] Speaker 1: He's a cool dude. [00:15:42] Speaker 2: Oh, cool. Yeah, he's so cool. And I don't want to say this in a bad way, but I mean, he's getting up there and it's a, it's a hall. Yeah. To cross country. Yeah. And, you know, a lot of these guys, like if you were fans of some of these shows. [00:15:58] Speaker 3: Come see him. [00:16:00] Speaker 2: And he's a trip. Yeah. He is a trip. [00:16:03] Speaker 3: He's got a story for everything. [00:16:04] Speaker 2: It is worth the price of admission just to meet Arthur. [00:16:07] Speaker 3: I just started collecting masks. Is it easy to fix all parts if broken or missing? [00:16:13] Speaker 2: You can't fix a part that's missing. I can tell you that. [00:16:16] Speaker 3: That is, that is so far, so far, very true. That's logic. [00:16:21] Speaker 2: But, uh, some things. [00:16:23] Speaker 1: I'd say they're not fun to fix. [00:16:25] Speaker 3: Yeah. If it's, if it's ABS plastic, you can fix it. If it's the other plastics, no. No. So a lot of times it's easier just to buy it complete unbroken. [00:16:34] Speaker 2: If something is attached, like on the switchblade, or if the thing's gone, it's shot. [00:16:38] Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. The switchblade, this, like these little connector points, once they're gone, that's it. I mean, you could maybe build something, but. [00:16:46] Speaker 2: Hello, good sirs. Greetings from the UK. Do you get much battle to planets? I have a band. We do have some that'll probably work their way to eBay. We've tried them in the store and they tend to sit. I do think some did go to our eBay. [00:17:01] Speaker 1: Does anybody buy Harley Quinn? Is she probably, or yes. Yeah. Yes. In phases. I mean, every time we get one, they go. Yeah. [00:17:08] Speaker 2: Oh, wait. I see a Florida. My mother is originally from Fort Lauderdale. Very different now from the 50s, 60s. Oh, geez. Just from the 70s and 80s. [00:17:17] Speaker 1: I once vacationed at Florida. [00:17:19] Speaker 2: Repurposed Robin Hood toys. It's the Odyssey toy line. [00:17:22] Speaker 3: Might actually make some more money. Maybe. [00:17:25] Speaker 2: We did see the Masters movie. Everybody liked it. Yeah. One thing that I never see at any store or convention is the 70s and 80s Edison cap guns. Interesting. Yeah. [00:17:36] Speaker 3: I mean, I think cap guns are a problem. Don't. [00:17:39] Speaker 2: What is this flash gun we have in here? That's like the 30s. [00:17:42] Speaker 3: Oh, it's money. It's a blaster, but it's either. I think it's 40s. I mean, we've had cap guns come in, though. Yeah, but it's like hit and miss as far as anybody. It's like you get one guy that wants to buy all of them or you get nobody. Yeah, true. [00:17:58] Speaker 2: Garth Knight Returns. That's a cool name. I met Peter Cullen several times over the past six, seven years, and he looked tired back in March at TFCon in L.A. Yeah, I've heard that. I've heard that he's had some, he had health issues in the past and they might be coming back. What is a current underrated toy line that you would, you bet will be a classic in the future? [00:18:26] Speaker 3: Everything already is. Yeah. A retro classic. A re-do version. Yeah, but what's something now that. I mean, it's got to be something anime, right? [00:18:37] Speaker 2: I think a lot of the toys in the future are going to be anime. Yeah. Because that's what all the kids are watching. Like if we watch Transformers and G.I. Joe, they're all watching. [00:18:47] Speaker 1: What do you guys think of the TMNT G.I. Joe crossovers? I think they're kind of cool. [00:18:51] Speaker 2: I think they grew on me. Yeah. [00:18:52] Speaker 1: Because I'm not a fan of crossovers. The scale's kind of shorter, thinner. [00:18:57] Speaker 3: I mean, they look great, but yeah, the scale, they don't, I don't know what they fit in with exactly. [00:19:02] Speaker 1: I mean, it works to me because they had military turtles. Yeah. [00:19:05] Speaker 2: Yeah. I actually, see, I can't, I couldn't get them wholesale, so I bought them retail. Yeah. But they were, I bought them on, I think, walmart.com. Yeah. And I'll just sit on them and hope that it turns into something. If not, I'll just get my money back. [00:19:19] Speaker 3: I'm sure you hear it a thousand times a day, but thanks for keeping our childhood toys and memories alive and being a huge part of the vintage scene with everything that you all do. Thank you. Appreciate it. [00:19:29] Speaker 2: We appreciate that. It's Dante Dis One. Thank you so much. The upcoming Street Fighter movie, what do we think? I'm going to go see it. I thought the trailer looked cool. Yeah. Is that like October or something? [00:19:41] Speaker 1: Maybe. [00:19:44] Speaker 2: Somebody said, what is a good price for a complete vintage All Four Turtles? Loose or carded? [00:19:52] Speaker 3: Let's say loose. It's either hard or soft. Yeah, hard or soft. 40, 80. It's 160 for hardhead and 200 for soft. Loose, complete. Loose, complete. It has to be complete. [00:20:06] Speaker 2: I rephrase any. All right. So here's, I'll rephrase. Any Kenner toy lines prior to Star Wars you like? Examples? Megabug. Oh, so I'd say $6 million, man. I didn't, I didn't, I wasn't an easy bake oven guy. The Megabug Gladiators, that wasn't on my radar. But see, when Star Wars came out, I was, you know, of the age that that was. Otherwise, the toys were like Tonka, Tonker. [00:20:34] Speaker 3: Tonker. Tonker. Tonker. Tonker. [00:20:36] Speaker 2: Or, I don't know. [00:20:39] Speaker 3: Spider-Man or MOTU toys have been selling more. Spider-Man always sells. Yeah, Spider-Man has always been good. But MOTU did pick up. Yeah. [00:20:46] Speaker 1: The Origins picked up, like, drastically. Vintage picked up a good one, too. Vintage picked up. The Origins picked up. Speaking of, I will. He-Man, Skeletor, Battle Cat. You're right. [00:20:54] Speaker 2: I will tell you, Classics has not picked up. No. [00:20:57] Speaker 1: No, no. [00:20:58] Speaker 2: Classics. [00:20:59] Speaker 1: That one. They're still dead. It's dead. I hate that. At least for us. [00:21:03] Speaker 2: And we say those are the best figures, man. [00:21:05] Speaker 1: I mean, 2000X doesn't move either. Yeah. Yeah. That's for that special thing. [00:21:10] Speaker 2: Any thoughts about the extra content in the Transformers movie coming? I'm interested to find out what it is. Yeah. So- Prime survives. What is this, the 40th? Or what is it, the 50th? 86, 40th. 40th, yeah. So I went to it when maybe it was the 30th in the theater, or 35th? [00:21:25] Speaker 3: It might. Well, the most recent I think you did see was 35th. Yeah. [00:21:29] Speaker 2: So I saw it in the theater for the 35th, and at the end, they had a Stan Bush acoustic. [00:21:34] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:21:34] Speaker 2: After the credits. That's cool. [00:21:37] Speaker 1: No, head down. [00:21:39] Speaker 3: Diner Riders has not dropped in value. It has only increased and become even more frustrating. [00:21:45] Speaker ?: Yeah. [00:21:46] Speaker 2: Yeah, somebody said anime is as stable as the current chance. What's the movie or show on Ryan's shirt? [00:21:51] Speaker 4: What is it, Ryan? V, right? So this was a TV show that had Michael Ironside, Brian Singer. [00:22:01] Speaker 2: Freddy. Yeah. Robert Englund. Robert Englund. So this was, they remade this series maybe 10 years ago. So the aliens, all these big round discs show up, and they're aliens, and they, and everybody's, oh, and then they're, they're going to come and help us. Right. And then they almost turn into like Nazis, and then they're rounding up the old people and they're training you. And it, and then some of the people want to join them. So they're betraying their own family. And then they got their lizard people under. It's great. [00:22:34] Speaker 3: Uh, Jose Ortega, who is the most interesting slash engaging toy YouTuber that has visited the store? [00:22:42] Speaker 2: Uh, interesting. Uh, I was going to say, cause I would say who's the biggest, but we get so many YouTubers here and sometimes they film and don't even tell us. Yeah. They ask if they can film, but, or take pictures. [00:22:56] Speaker 1: Yeah. [00:22:56] Speaker 2: And then I could find out, I was like, oh, wow, they were huge or something. Uh, but I mean, retro Rick's been a lot. He seems cool. Yeah. Pixel Dan. Or he is cool. Pixel Dan's been a lot. Froggy Flips was cool, but he had like 30 minutes to be here. [00:23:09] Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. So short. I mean, that Phoenix resale guy. [00:23:12] Speaker 2: Phoenix resale was here, but I didn't know he had like a zillion followers or something. [00:23:16] Speaker 3: Is a hot dog a sandwich? It's a hot dog. [00:23:19] Speaker 2: It's a sandwich. Is it? It's meat between piece of bread. [00:23:24] Speaker 3: I feel like you have to be able to put peanut butter on it, which you could. What about grease? No, just, just peanut butter on a hot dog one. [00:23:32] Speaker 1: I would. It's a long sandwich. I've done that. I mean, I've used a piece of white bread for a hot dog. [00:23:37] Speaker 2: I've toasted it too. So do you ever think to get a mascot for Toy Federation? I don't know what that would be. [00:23:45] Speaker 1: Skull man. At one point. Nah, it's going to be like an animal dressed up. [00:23:48] Speaker 2: We wanted to put a skull. Like I did do an old, old ad and a skull man in it. And I was like, a skull man is going to be in every ad. And then it just never went anywhere. All right. Wait, it's gone way too much. Oh, wow. Wow. No, didn't I do M. Lutzy? 10 bucks. Did I do that? No. Thank you so much. Oh, how do you clean your toys? I use Windex. Travis likes alcohol. Right. [00:24:10] Speaker 3: But it's different for different things. Alcohol is really good at freeing up dirt and cracks. So like Jovi, it works great with Windex in general is probably just safe to use on anything. But then sometimes suds get stuck in place and, you know, somebody got to be careful with it though. Yeah. [00:24:26] Speaker 2: Somebody said, did they ever make Flash Gordon the queen version toy line? I thought Biff Bang Pal did figures from it. [00:24:31] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:24:33] Speaker 2: Yeah. [00:24:33] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:24:34] Speaker 2: I've seen, you have a few gentle giant jumbo Star Wars figures on your wall. What are your thoughts on these? Just a gimmick or do you? Uh, I, I think they're really cool. They just eat up a ton of space. [00:24:47] Speaker 3: Yeah. It's like if you collect those, you really can't do much. [00:24:50] Speaker 2: I always remember going to Star Wars celebration and they had a stair step and all the jumbos were lined up. And if you took a picture of it and had nobody in the shot for frame of reference of size, it just looked like all the vintage ones are on a stair step. Yeah. But they were all jumbos. That's kind of cool. Yeah. [00:25:09] Speaker 3: Yeah. They, yeah, they look really good. [00:25:11] Speaker 2: What international Joes do you want most and why? So we just had some really cool ones coming from a guy who was here from Brazil. [00:25:18] Speaker 1: I mean, I want the European Tiger Force, but I got to finish the regular run first. [00:25:23] Speaker 2: But the snake eyes had a Cobra symbol on it. [00:25:25] Speaker 1: Yeah. It was, uh, how was his name? [00:25:27] Speaker 3: I think it's like Cobra Darko or Darko. Dark. Dark. Yeah. I think it's Darko. And then what's, what's the other one? [00:25:34] Speaker 2: And then we had Kangor. [00:25:35] Speaker 3: Oh, him without the kangaroo, uh, invasor. Invasor. I like, I like invasor. [00:25:40] Speaker 5: Invasor. Invasor. Yeah. [00:25:41] Speaker 1: But I mean, we had Shipwreck. We had, uh, Foligno. Yeah. [00:25:45] Speaker 2: Hey team, long time watch from Australia. First time catching alive. Are there any lines that are frustratingly available outside of USA, but hard to get locally? [00:25:54] Speaker 3: Lines? I mean, maybe figures, but lines, I don't know. I mean, there's tough lines that we say we don't get off. [00:26:03] Speaker 1: No, but is it, is it. But outside the UL. [00:26:04] Speaker 2: Any lines that are frustratingly available outside of the U.S.? I mean, like there's some figures that were only released outside of the U.S. Right, right. But that's what I'm thinking. Like your yuck face. [00:26:14] Speaker 5: Figures, like, like laser light, Skeletor, He-Man, Megator. [00:26:19] Speaker 2: Or you want those superpowers that weren't really in Brazil? Yeah. [00:26:22] Speaker 3: The superpowers or the secret wars that were in Europe. Like, I want those, but those aren't lines necessarily. But yeah. Yeah. [00:26:30] Speaker 2: All right. So far, the Transformers bonus footage seems to be the Optimus surviving. You know, I thought I saw some. Told you. Tease an image of the Dark Prime. You know, like. But he's back in the later show anyway. Yeah. They revived him. Oh, the V remake sucked. I mean, I started it and wanted to give it a chance. The bad lady is the, the new bad lady is, her mother is the girl from the first one. Yeah. Yeah. And she keeps her down in like one of the cavities in the ship. Man, there's way too much. Right. I feel like I can't keep up with everybody. Have you ever guys, oh, Dino Saucers. I wish. Yeah. No. I wish. Nope. Oh, yeah. They eat hamsters, right? Yeah. See? Oh, wait, where are you going? Lizard people. Right. What are we doing? [00:27:23] Speaker 1: There's like a lizard man in South Carolina. [00:27:25] Speaker 2: All right. I don't like old buddy touches everything and buys nothing. I don't know what that is. I don't like old buddy. [00:27:34] Speaker 3: Well, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's Christopher Miller. Oh. Yeah. [00:27:38] Speaker 2: All right. Hey, buddies. Most important question of the night. Do you finally figure out how a horse would wear pants? [00:27:45] Speaker 1: That is important. [00:27:46] Speaker 2: I don't know. [00:27:47] Speaker 1: It's two legs or four. [00:27:48] Speaker 2: I think it's, I just, I think two. I want the conversation to go on forever. We have a blocky section in this. Yeah. [00:27:54] Speaker 3: Devin said four. [00:27:55] Speaker 2: Oh, just the trans. Oh, no. [00:27:56] Speaker 3: If your name is Jack or Diane, do you have to suck on a chili dog? You do. Behind a shady tree. [00:28:01] Speaker 2: Right. What, all right. [00:28:04] Speaker 5: What's your grail? I don't know. What's your grail, Travis? Well, it says Andy, not Travis, but. [00:28:09] Speaker 1: You're right. I can't answer that. Andy, what's your grail? I can't answer. My grail? At this point, it's just, I'd say that it was at one point Tiger Force or Night Force. But now it's the Europeans. It's going to, I can't. [00:28:20] Speaker 2: Oh, I'm so, just like the rock. Have you met cats that remember Toto with a lightsaber? I don't know if I understand that. What international Joe's, oh, wait. Yeah. We're trying, but it's going fast. [00:28:38] Speaker 3: I believe the original Mego Fantastic Four figures were only released in France. Is that correct, Travis? My wife and I love your channel. No, Mego Fantastic Four was released here. [00:28:46] Speaker 2: Hey, wait, wait, wait. Hold on. Jason Branch. My wife and I love your channel, and tomorrow's our 27th wedding anniversary. It would be awesome if you would wish her a happy anniversary. Cool. I don't know her name, but I am wishing her a happy anniversary. Happy anniversary. I'm wishing her both of you a happy anniversary. [00:28:59] Speaker 3: Yeah, both of you. You should have came here for your anniversary. [00:29:02] Speaker 5: All of you. All of you. [00:29:03] Speaker 2: All of you, happy anniversary. [00:29:05] Speaker 1: As one unit. And birthdays, if anyone's got a birthday, get that up. [00:29:08] Speaker 2: Is it bad that I actually have a reaction figure? No, it's awesome that you do. I wish they made more. [00:29:13] Speaker 1: Yeah. [00:29:14] Speaker 2: Yeah, there's just one 12-inch doll. [00:29:17] Speaker 1: It's not a doll. [00:29:19] Speaker 2: What samurai toys are most popular? [00:29:22] Speaker 3: Ronin. Yeah. [00:29:24] Speaker 1: Yeah. Ronin Warriors. Every time we put them up, man. [00:29:29] Speaker 2: Else, he is shirtless and can't shop at 7-Eleven. I don't know if I missed a grail right now. Wolfpack sting. There you go. There we go. [00:29:37] Speaker 3: How long have I rocked sunglasses? Travis, specifically, how long have you rocked the sunglasses on hat look? I like it. Forever, ever. Yeah, because I need sunglasses wherever I go. My eyes hurt out in the sun. [00:29:51] Speaker 2: Oh, it's Jessica. Happy anniversary, Jessica. [00:29:53] Speaker 3: Am I wearing an Eddie and the Cruisers 2 shirt inside out? [00:29:58] Speaker 2: Yes. [00:30:02] Speaker 5: Yes. Now I want one. Have you watched it? Have you seen it? I'll find you one. Not recently. I watched it recently. [00:30:08] Speaker 3: You know, you were telling me about it. Like, it's not. [00:30:10] Speaker 5: It's not bad. It's not great. [00:30:12] Speaker 4: Yeah. But it's not bad. And then there's Eddie and the Cruisers 2. [00:30:15] Speaker 3: I just, I will never forget the anguish on that man's face. It was so, I wish I could show people. I should draw it. I'll find you a shirt and I'll get it in black for you. [00:30:24] Speaker 2: Yes, Freddie was the only good alien in V. Thoughts on Danny McBride? I'm looking forward to Danny McBride. [00:30:29] Speaker 1: I just, I just hope it's good. [00:30:31] Speaker 2: Especially the era that he's choosing. Welcome to Springfield. You can only keep one item from your collection. What is it? My sealed early bird, Star Wars. [00:30:42] Speaker 1: What's yours? My sealed bagged Dukes of Hazzard soap. That? Yes. [00:30:46] Speaker 3: I had it since I was a kid, man. Secret War Spider-Man. I had it since I was a kid. Guys, you picked an empty box and you picked a bar of soap. That's right. What did you pick? At least I'll be clean. [00:30:55] Speaker 2: I picked an action figure. Oh, there you go. What do you get to get away from your fun job? What do you get to get away? What do you do to get away? Oh, I can't read it. I just work. Yeah, it's... I watch Columbo when I get home and eat dinner. Yeah, just draw and watch something. Yeah. Work. I used to watch something I've seen, like a classic movie. What do you think about the new Highlander? There's a new Highlander? [00:31:17] Speaker 1: Yes. It's going to probably be good. It's Henry Cavill. Yeah, Henry Cavill. And Drew McIntyre from WWE. [00:31:23] Speaker 2: I would watch it, yes. Did you ever see Vintage Chips or Love Boat figures? Yes. Yes, we've had both. Did we have the Chips motorcycles? I don't. Or did we sell those? [00:31:32] Speaker 3: They sold. [00:31:33] Speaker ?: Yeah. [00:31:34] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:31:34] Speaker 2: They sold. We put out a complete Filmation Ghostbusters Ghost Command with the car and so no. I've never been able to do a complete and I have nothing at the moment. Even the one that I bought that we filmed that was all broke. That one I sold to a guy who was happy to get it because it had parts he needed. [00:31:51] Speaker 3: Toy products. Why would Hasbro underproduce a toy? Target exclusive Starscream, which is just what happened. So they make sure they sell all of them. Right. Right. [00:32:03] Speaker 2: What I don't understand is if you put out a pre-order or a solicit and it's has. [00:32:10] Speaker 1: It's all right. They'll just run it again. [00:32:11] Speaker 2: And then Target's like, oh, we sold 50,000. Then that's the order. [00:32:15] Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, the same thing happened though with the Cobra Island classifieds. Yeah. They got made and no one got them. Ricky Boone. They sent them out again. That's for you, Andy. Who are the other Euro Tiger Force outside of OPEC? Name him in 20 seconds or less. Wow. You got a sneak peek. Life line. Man, I ain't got a life line. [00:32:35] Speaker 3: I thought there was. Okay. You're eating his time. Hit and run. [00:32:37] Speaker 1: Blizzard. He said OPEC, right? Isn't the Blizzard yellow? Yes. Told you. I'm drawing a blank right now. I got three out of the four. Shipwreck? No, that was Brazil. Oh. Oh, that's why I don't know. I psycho. It's one. Okay. [00:32:52] Speaker 2: The John Wick guys are making the new Highlander. Oh, sweet. Awesome. Yep. Oh, so you know the guy who works at the hotel in John Wick? Yeah. He's like that shorter guy. No, no, no, no. You're talking about the black guy. Yeah, he passed away. No, no. But the guy who was his hotel or the guy who tries to help John Wick. Jonathan. Oh, that guy. Yeah, yeah. He's in Colombo. Of course. Was there a murder? [00:33:14] Speaker 1: There was a murder in the hotel. [00:33:16] Speaker 2: What about the new Gladiators? The Miz is the host. Nothing can beat the original. I haven't watched it. Oh, so they're doing an American Gladiator? It's been on. Oh, I haven't seen that. [00:33:26] Speaker 3: Do they even have the same old song? Nitro. [00:33:29] Speaker 2: Turbo. Who's coming to retro? Do you keep teasing the future picks? I don't know. Gotta hang in there. It's coming. [00:33:35] Speaker 3: Just wait. [00:33:36] Speaker 2: It'll be fine. I don't know. There's like a DeLorean pulling up to the Embassy Suites Hotel. I don't know what that means. I don't know. I don't know. You might have to stay tuned. Hey, this is you, Travis. [00:33:50] Speaker 3: What do you think about the Marvel Legends of Mephisto? I feel like the throne should have had red LEDs and misting feature. Lots of money for what it was. You know what? I like that idea. LEDs is cheap. But if I could say anything, I'm a little disappointed in the articulation. I can't put my finger on it, but it looks like an old body mold that's been blown up. [00:34:10] Speaker 2: See, look at this. Yeah. Oh, wait. I took my mic off for me. Do you prefer packaging art, which is of the figure, or art of the character? Is the figure the character? [00:34:21] Speaker 3: Do you prefer packaging art, which is one of the figure, or is of the figure, or art of the character? Well, the character or the figure? I want to see art. Do you want the art to be the figure? Sure. Do you want the art to be art? Both. That's what they're asking. Oh. At the same time. Yes. Your question is answered, sir. [00:34:40] Speaker 2: Ricky Boone said, Ryan, my wife is a huge Columbo fan. Her favorite part of the broadcast. See, you got it right. Got it right. Or when you go on about Columbo. He drops into another dimension. He's in the Columbo dimension when he's talking about it. If she likes Columbo, there's a lady on YouTube, and her channel's called Watch It For Days, and she does a deep dive in every episode. And every time she goes through a nightmare because of NBCUniversal or whatever, copyright striking, and then she wins every time, but it takes for it. [00:35:10] Speaker 4: Oh, geez. [00:35:12] Speaker 2: Hey, Ryan, did you watch the new Star Wars fan film by Star Wars Theory? What about the other Star Wars fan films? I see some. I've never fully watched them. I've seen some, and it just looks amazing what they're doing, especially when you see Luke Young. [00:35:30] Speaker 3: What is my favorite Spider-Man toy? Probably Superposable. What's your favorite, Andy, favorite current band? [00:35:37] Speaker 1: I don't have any favorite current bands. [00:35:39] Speaker 2: My favorite Columbo episode? I like the one with Donald Pleasance. That might be one of my favorites. The child. But is that any old port? That might be any old port in a storm, as I think the Donald Pleasance episode. Ah. Do I purchase graded collections? The problem, so, I would, but I mean, if you had hundreds of figures, I probably wouldn't, because it's just, we're getting so much stuff, you can't buy it all. Yeah. So then you have to, and then higher end. Prioritize. Higher end things. Don't move fast. Are a more selective buyer. So your pool of people who want that shrinks, and then when it's really, really high dollar, it's even a smaller pool of people. So they don't sell quickly, but I would take a look. Rockford Files is a good, is to watch. His assistant is in a Columbo episode. How about Ring Raiders? [00:36:42] Speaker 3: Andy loves Pantera. Travis loves Creed. Incorrect. Chris Miller. Yeah. We both love Pantera. No one loves Creed. Really? Travis loves Nickelback. [00:36:50] Speaker 2: Ring Raiders. The cartoon was kind of cool. I didn't like how they drew the people's faces, though, in it, but otherwise I did like the cartoon. Yeah. They did something weird with their noses in the corner. [00:36:57] Speaker 1: New Columbo movie with Vin Diesel. Are you in or out? I'm in. I'm out. [00:37:02] Speaker 2: I'm in. [00:37:02] Speaker 1: Is it about family? [00:37:06] Speaker 2: Oh, Donald was in The Great Escape. He was. I watched The Great Escape recently. That's another good movie. [00:37:10] Speaker 3: Most commonly broken toy of all time. Probably anything Dino Riders, right? [00:37:15] Speaker 1: Well, I was going to say pick a Transformer car. [00:37:18] Speaker 3: All Dino Riders. Any G1 Transformer windshield. [00:37:23] Speaker 2: He'll check the Night Stalker. That's cool. He's the dad from Christmas Story. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's a good one, too. That's a good set. Yeah, so there's a nonstop streaming on Columbo. I don't know if it's on Pluto or Tubi. And Rockford Files has a channel, too. There you go. Oh, Ryan Gosling doing Ghost Rider. What are your thoughts? I think it's good. [00:37:45] Speaker 3: I said, like, it's got to be, like, five years ago that he should be him. I picked him because they were looking at Doctor Strange, and I was like, I want him to be in Marvel, but not Doctor Strange, and that's when it clicked for me, Ghost Rider. [00:38:00] Speaker 2: Oh, I love Creed, but you also like Toys R Us. That's Chris. [00:38:04] Speaker 1: All right. What's one tip from each of you for my first retro? [00:38:10] Speaker 2: Bring a lot of money. Yeah. Or save. Save. You're going to see everything, and it's... [00:38:16] Speaker 3: Come see us all. [00:38:18] Speaker 2: And have fun. And if you are coming, and you didn't get a room yet, the hotel is sold out, but there is a Crowne Plaza about a mile away. Yep. Good hotel. Yeah. But make sure you at least stay one night because you are missing out on all the after hours activities, and the after hour is just as intense as the show, and it's hard to find anything like it. You're 60, 70 rooms, a room trading. [00:38:46] Speaker 1: I mean, take in as much as you can if there's something you can get to Friday night. [00:38:51] Speaker 2: I encourage you to go to the September show. It'll get to the insanity of the November, but right now it's a sleeper show. There's so much good stuff there, but it's not elbows to elbows yet, so you can shop better. [00:39:02] Speaker 3: Do you sometimes feel like a type of toy custodian when you're buying Grail? Grail is famous for problems. Tiamat, My Pet Monster, Kraken, things like that. Like, they are like... [00:39:16] Speaker ?: They're. [00:39:16] Speaker 3: Yeah. It's like... [00:39:17] Speaker 2: They're so hard. So, we have a Kraken and a Tiamat. I haven't decided if we do one or both or save... [00:39:28] Speaker 3: We need at least one fin, right? One fin. [00:39:31] Speaker 5: Oh, then we'd have two. Right. Right. That's my goal. Yeah. [00:39:34] Speaker 3: Otherwise, we only have one, but yeah. [00:39:36] Speaker 5: Because then we could bring one to the September show. [00:39:38] Speaker 3: Mm-hmm. That'd be nice. [00:39:39] Speaker 2: Yeah. Because it's a monster. [00:39:41] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:39:42] Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be great. [00:39:43] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:39:43] Speaker 2: And we do have Tiamat wings now. [00:39:46] Speaker ?: Tiamat. [00:39:47] Speaker 3: Yeah. The only good parts in the new Motu movie is the CGI fight scenes. The rest remain... Reminded me of TWZ, Cubicle Workplace, LOL. [00:39:58] Speaker 2: Eh. [00:39:59] Speaker 3: Eh. I like it. I like it. [00:40:00] Speaker 2: After Toy Party. Oh, yeah. After Hour. [00:40:02] Speaker 1: Yeah, it's all night long. [00:40:04] Speaker 2: How old were you all... You first resold your first toy. [00:40:13] Speaker 3: I've never sold a toy of mine. Whatever. I haven't. Whatever. I never have. Not of mine. [00:40:18] Speaker 2: When I was in college and I went home one year, I took a lot of my stuff to the local comic shop because I wanted... I joined the BMG CD club. [00:40:28] Speaker 1: You owed him money. And I got my 10 free CDs. And I didn't have a CD. They weren't free. I didn't have a CD player. [00:40:34] Speaker 2: So in Miami, there's a place called Sound Advice. And I went and I bought... It had the whole unit with the two speakers and the equalizer and the cassette player. And there's a turntable on top. It was a whole shebang. And I brought that back to the dorm. I don't know. [00:40:49] Speaker 1: I think I was like seven. I sold all my He-Man at a family yard sale. [00:40:53] Speaker 2: It's dusting the store a nightmare. [00:40:56] Speaker 1: If we sell the stuff quick enough, it isn't right. [00:40:58] Speaker 2: I wipe the counters 10 times a day and I vacuum at least once to twice a day because I can't have anything on my carpet. It drives me nuts. [00:41:06] Speaker 3: And you'll see it. [00:41:08] Speaker 2: There's it. [00:41:08] Speaker 3: Any thoughts on the deal with the star eye in the Marvel comics like Cable and Longshot? I think they do well enough for what it is. I mean, because it's like a... It's a piece of plastic that looks like a light. Yeah. But it looks fine to be on a shelf. Yeah. Ryan, will we ever see personal collection? [00:41:31] Speaker 2: I mean, sometimes I say this is going home. So I, you know, in a post, but sometimes I, maybe I'll share some photos that, uh, because I don't have anything set up. Like my goal is to get the room done and I still got to paint and do flooring and then buy fixtures, but the room's almost empty now. Oh, what's for dinner? [00:41:54] Speaker 3: I'd like to know. What's open? [00:41:55] Speaker 2: So for the September, so for retro horror Friday night, we're doing a FNAF thing. Uh, but it's prime rib and pizza. Saturday night is, uh, so it's a pasta station. It's all, I don't know how many. [00:42:11] Speaker 3: So I could have primary pizza if I wanted. That's what I said. Yeah. I'm going to try it. Why not? [00:42:17] Speaker 2: And then it's also, uh, what is it? A stir fry station where you pick your meats and vegetables. They don't do the pie anymore. That was awesome. I'm going to try. Maybe they can get it going again. I haven't need to. [00:42:28] Speaker 3: The food's always good there. Oh, the food's amazing. [00:42:31] Speaker 2: If you've never done, like if you buy a gold VIP, you get a shirt, we feed you on Saturday night and you get all three nights, uh, or all three preview night as well as Saturday, Sunday hour, early access. Uh, and then we bring in lunch to the VIP room. There's snacks, chips, drinks. Uh, you're, you basically are fed the entire time because breakfast is free at the embassy suites. Then we bring you lunch. Uh, we get happy hour if you stay. Oh, and then there's happy hour. It's nice. Yeah. Yeah. What sells better? A looser carded mitten box toys. Loose. [00:43:04] Speaker 1: Loose. [00:43:04] Speaker 3: Loose. Yeah. Loose always sells quicker. [00:43:06] Speaker 2: Yeah. And they're more affordable. [00:43:07] Speaker 3: Yeah. They require less, usually just the shelf. I've seen quite a few Castle Grayskulls in y'all's videos. Do any of y'all happen to know how many Castle Grayskulls you all have at the moment in the shop between 40 and 50? There you go. [00:43:24] Speaker 2: Yeah. [00:43:26] Speaker 3: Not, not, not all complete. No, no, no, no. It's probably like maybe three complete Grayskulls. With cardboard. Right. I, it's either two or three. I'm not sure. [00:43:37] Speaker 1: Uh, Andy. Yeah. Uh, how do I explain my personal joke? Um, I have multiple detox and different, you know, stair steps. There's, and I do it by ear in alphabetical order. That's right. [00:43:51] Speaker 3: They put some in pairs. They're hugging each other. Have you seen an alien board game? That's my wrestler, sir. [00:43:58] Speaker 2: So RPG. Is that the one that maybe was 15, 20 years ago? And then they made little, uh, plastic figures for it. Somebody's asking, have I seen an aliens board game? Cause there's a, there's a set. There's the original alien board game. Oh, but that's aliens. [00:44:18] Speaker 3: Right. Well, they had Marines and aliens, right? [00:44:22] Speaker 2: Don't we have up there, the alien box set? I think. And that was part of it. I thought. I think so. [00:44:27] Speaker 3: Yeah. Uh, thank you, logic blaster. Uh, you want, uh, I just want to show some appreciation for your knowledge of vintage and modern toys. And honestly, telling people what these things are worth in the current market. Oh, you appreciate it. Thank you. Logic blaster. [00:44:43] Speaker 2: Uh, that's a huge Travis. That's you. [00:44:45] Speaker 3: Uh, Travis, do you mostly draw comic characters? Anything else you enjoy doing? I'm an artist. Just curious. I'll, I'll, I'll draw anything. I, it's just comic characters tend to sell quicker. No kids. Yeah. I don't really like drawing kids and I, and, and drawing people, they have to like, I don't know, I have to kind of know them because sometimes, yeah, I worry about insulting someone. [00:45:06] Speaker 2: Well, we did like 30 in-store autograph signings and I'd say for two thirds of them, you drew. Oh yeah. So you did lots of movie people, not comic people. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, like you did a Michael bean from, uh, right. Right. [00:45:19] Speaker 1: Tombstone. I did. Tombstone and Terminator. Yeah. I mean, he did wrestlers for the retros. [00:45:24] Speaker 2: Oh, wait, hold on. Jade. All right. JD's world. I drove from Texas to 22 hours to go see the store in person for the first time. Ended up buying the star Wars first 12 and Amigo, Spider-Man. Awesome. Oh, I remember that. Yeah. Yeah. Man. Texas baby. Yeah. That was a drive. Thank you. Uh, Garth, the night returns. I think there was a recent alien board game with the small miniature play piece. See, they did a game that we have, uh, but now the alien, what, what's going on? Something funny. [00:45:56] Speaker 3: It's Chris Miller again. That's like, you will not draw anything. You told me my drawing was ridiculous. It was, it was a ridiculous idea. It was, uh, would I be interested in collabing on a comic? I, if, if I could. Find the time. Find the time. [00:46:13] Speaker 2: Maybe I want the karate kid competition set. I keep seeing in videos. Do you have carded figures too? So I have the, is it the attack alley training center? Right. Yeah. Yeah. It's boxed up there. I did get one figure cause it was so minty. I had it graded. [00:46:29] Speaker ?: Yeah. [00:46:30] Speaker 2: I don't remember what character it was. It wasn't macho. No. [00:46:33] Speaker 3: It was, oh, was it the purple robe? Uh, Miyagi. Miyagi. [00:46:37] Speaker 1: Try, try action. [00:46:38] Speaker 2: Miyagi! Uh, Travis, would you be in, all right, no, we saw that here too. All right. Uh, Travis likes guar. Do you like guar? They're okay. I think I on inadvertently saw them in a concert in Tampa. Yeah. I was at a club. Inadvertently. Yeah. [00:46:55] Speaker 3: Well, I just went to this club and the club did you peek in and go, geez. [00:47:00] Speaker 2: And then like leave. Right. I think there was like weird meat suit things going on because there was like different rooms. This club was so weird. Like you would go in one room and it could have been like new order. Oh yeah. [00:47:11] Speaker 3: So it says, what if Travis drew slash designed a toy Federation superhero as this tour mascot, which there is one of Ryan. Oh yeah. It's called D Lord. D Lord. [00:47:20] Speaker 2: Yeah. He, he drew me like a Motu inspired character. I have a millennium Falcon chest armor. Yeah. [00:47:25] Speaker 3: But you look mostly like triclops in the, in the, the outfit and a money gun. Yeah. [00:47:29] Speaker 2: I'm shooting money out. Yeah. Cargo shorts. Uh, Travis is waiting to hit his Jack Dawson drawing French girl phase. It's, do you get that? [00:47:40] Speaker 3: Is that like a thing? Uh, I, I, I have drawn some French girls in my time. [00:47:46] Speaker 2: Oh, that's cool. Have you thought of changing the name to the rat cast Ryan and Travis? [00:47:52] Speaker 5: That's terrible. The rat cast. [00:47:54] Speaker 3: Sir, let's all start smoking. Call ourselves a tar cast. [00:47:57] Speaker 5: It is a broadcast. It's a broadcast. It's a broadcaster. [00:48:00] Speaker 2: You're right. Uh, thank you for the reply. All right. Quar is an acquired taste. We have their figures. [00:48:07] Speaker 3: Yeah. Those figures are great. I'd love to open. I said, you rungus. I'm, I'm, I'm. [00:48:12] Speaker 5: Odorous. You rungus. [00:48:13] Speaker 1: I'm laughing at the comment with the smiley faces. [00:48:16] Speaker 3: What would you ever do? [00:48:17] Speaker 1: I'm just here. [00:48:18] Speaker 2: I'm just here to kiss the ring. I love it. Hey, we're going to do that. Don't you worry. I'm bringing the ring and he's going to kiss it. The spawn figures have value about 10 to $15 in on the package. [00:48:35] Speaker 3: On average. Some of the, some of the cover ones are worth money, but when they left the cardboard backer [00:48:40] Speaker 2: and went to the bubble, all bubble, shorter, shorter, there's, they can get a lot better. [00:48:47] Speaker ?: Yeah. [00:48:50] Speaker 2: If I played guitar for an eighties hair band, what band? [00:48:54] Speaker 1: Warrant. [00:48:55] Speaker 2: Not warrant. That's mean. [00:48:57] Speaker 3: The outfield extreme. I liked the outfield. Yeah. You liked the outfield. You probably wouldn't enjoy playing the guitar though. [00:49:03] Speaker 2: Like, like, I did play drums, but I was horrible. Yeah. Uh, may we please speak a moment on the smell of the fresh plastic, the smell of the new star. Ears, dudes, always. Uh, all right. All right. So people do come in here sometimes and they go, smell. What's that? One kid came in here and he's like, smells like vintage in here. [00:49:28] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:49:29] Speaker 2: Vintage. [00:49:30] Speaker 1: Yeah. [00:49:30] Speaker 3: Well, that, that is like supposed to be the most direct connection to memory is, is smell. So I, I get that. It's just. Right. That was a strange way to phrase it. I think. Yeah. [00:49:41] Speaker 2: Uh, thoughts on the TMT licensing situation. Didn't you say the things that Mattel did, they looked horrible? [00:49:46] Speaker 1: No, that was Potrangers. Or Power Rangers. I, I didn't think they were good, but that's my opinion. Yeah. But I mean, I don't know. Mattel might start crushing it. I don't know. Cause they got more licenses than Hasbro. It seems like. [00:49:57] Speaker 2: Did Disney ever make black hole figures? Uh, I diamond select made them. Yes. But it was Disney owned. So there may be Disney on the back of the packaging, but yeah, it's either that or Mego, [00:50:08] Speaker 3: right? That's it, man. Yeah. [00:50:10] Speaker 2: Uh, did the ending freak me out? Uh, it was, you know, man, that movie was so before star Wars, that, that, that movie was so long in the making. [00:50:21] Speaker 3: Uh, recently discovered body wash toys. Yeah. Those are cool. Where they a spinoff of mighty max. I like that one set can shoot eyeball projectiles. That was like the whole mini craze. Yeah. [00:50:31] Speaker 2: There was a mini craze. Some people do say I'm, I'm not, yeah. I'm Steve Buscemi. I think he's a very unattractive man, but a great actor. So I don't know. I don't know. He's, you know, I like the Ralph Macchio better. [00:50:46] Speaker 3: Uh, did Disney ever make black hole figures? I thought we did that. I did that one. [00:50:51] Speaker 2: Sir, I'm ahead of you. [00:50:53] Speaker 3: Sir. Sir. How amazing are the mono TMNT? Yeah. I'm back and forth on Mondo. Yeah. Yeah. [00:51:01] Speaker 2: I think they're ghost posters. The new ghost stuff looks awesome. Yeah. Uh, but I mean, I, I think there might be the only ones left with the turtle license. I think, isn't NECA losing it? [00:51:13] Speaker 1: Are they making one last figure? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [00:51:15] Speaker 2: Who's most likely to push someone to the ground if there's a fire? Seinfeld, Georgia reference. [00:51:23] Speaker 3: Uh, I don't think any of us would do that. No. [00:51:27] Speaker 4: Uh, I, I don't freak out under extreme situations. [00:51:31] Speaker 5: I might would push somebody out the store if it were on fire. [00:51:36] Speaker 2: I was driving. Yeah. This is, uh, that's a crazy story. I was driving in a car banged into a wall and I get out and I assist aid and like, I, I don't freak out. Yeah. [00:51:45] Speaker 3: Can't. Uh, good evening. Do you all ever see mash figures from the tri-store toys? Yes, we've had them. We've had them. Carded and loose. [00:51:53] Speaker 2: There's probably some card in the back. [00:51:55] Speaker 3: Not the one you're looking for. [00:51:56] Speaker 2: It's always, you know, it's, it's not him in the dress or in the dress. Yeah. Yeah. I just realized the kid from Jean. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [00:52:04] Speaker 3: It's also young. That's correct. Yeah. Young Skywalker. [00:52:09] Speaker 2: Uh, there are so many remakes. Anything you all love to see get remade? [00:52:14] Speaker 1: What is the, what, what, uh, what is the rarest non-figure vintage Star Wars toy? The flashlight lightsaber. Um, so something Star Wars, that's not a figure that's rare. [00:52:28] Speaker 2: Uh, from a vehicle standpoint, the A-wing's pretty rare. Uh, the skiff's pretty rare. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, there's that weird Vader mug. The die cast tie bombers are really rare piece. And some of the, I guess the mini rigs from the end of the line are really rare. [00:52:44] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:52:47] Speaker 2: Uh, oh, Mondo's done with TMT also interesting. There you go. [00:52:51] Speaker 3: It's your favorite bad item that is just fun to have IE ET for Atari. Uh, I would love to get that C-3PO tape dispenser. Oh yeah. [00:53:04] Speaker 5: Oh, there's the Vader that gets the toothpick. [00:53:06] Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, that, yeah. That one's just cool, but, but that's not bad. The Punisher gun. What's bad? [00:53:10] Speaker 2: The Punisher. [00:53:11] Speaker 3: Oh, the Punisher transforming guy. That's the gun where it looks inappropriate halfway through. [00:53:15] Speaker 2: So look at, what is that like a 10 or 12 inch Punisher? I think it's eight. No, like 10, yeah. Right? It's the transforming. Yeah, yeah. [00:53:22] Speaker 3: And it's supposed to turn into a gun. But it's very inappropriate. The gun is strategically placed. It's very inappropriate. It's strategically placed. Yeah. That's bad. I think you have it packaged. I have it at home. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I took it home. Uh, do you actively hunt parts online, uh, in order to complete it? Yes. [00:53:36] Speaker 1: Have to. Have to. All the time. Yep. [00:53:38] Speaker 3: Yep. [00:53:39] Speaker 1: We make around lists. [00:53:40] Speaker 5: I'm buying parts all the time. Uh, I just enjoy everyone's calling it the broadcast. [00:53:47] Speaker 1: Yeah. Right. Because it is. Yeah. We're broadcasting. [00:53:51] Speaker 2: Have you ever seen any super chicken figures? I'm unaware of the super chicken figures. I like, so Thundar did get some figures from Toynami. Uh, we had two sets of them. I think we had like three. Three sets of them. They were like four to $500 loose. Yeah. Uh, but that's the extent they have a current comic out too, I think. [00:54:13] Speaker 3: Oh, really? [00:54:13] Speaker ?: Yeah. [00:54:14] Speaker 2: Yeah. [00:54:15] Speaker 3: Yeah. I did not know. Yeah. [00:54:17] Speaker 2: The US. Oh, wait, wait. Still waiting for a complete US trucking GI Joe racetrack to show up on an episode. Uh, we filmed one. Yeah. Uh, so, uh, if you need one, we're going to have one. It'll probably be, maybe I'll take, bring it to the September show. Yeah. I have a complete one in the box. [00:54:36] Speaker 3: Uh, McFarland superpowers. Nice of them to fill in some gaps or nostalgic fueled cash grab. Both. Neither. [00:54:44] Speaker 2: Oh, I, I love that he did it. [00:54:46] Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't, I don't think it's bad that he did it. I mean, it'd be cool if they had a gimmick though. Like, did he ever do that? [00:54:51] Speaker 2: I thought he was making that unproduced thing. [00:54:53] Speaker 3: Oh, the dark side play set. Oh, man. [00:54:56] Speaker 2: I don't, I didn't need to show it or tease it or. [00:54:59] Speaker 3: I, if maybe he's losing the license. Yeah. But this was like two years ago. I saw that. I don't know. Maybe he is losing it all. [00:55:07] Speaker 2: I don't know. Oh, there's an Andy question. Hogan or ultimate warrior. Hogan. [00:55:14] Speaker 3: Hogan. Hogan. Oh, that's Hogan. [00:55:17] Speaker 2: Buck Rogers in a star fighter versus Starbuck in a viper. I like, I'm going to go Starbuck in the viper. Oh, who wins? Ah, geez. I don't know. Buck Rogers was, you know, he's like, he's like, he's an astronaut and he went to the future. Like, I think Starbuck is like professional pilot. So he'd win. [00:55:42] Speaker 1: Have you had the Star Wars Sarlacc pit board game? [00:55:45] Speaker 2: We have. It's, it's, it's cool. Uh, it's, it's, it's never been worth a lot. I mean, I don't know if it's 30 bucks. [00:55:52] Speaker 1: Can you get out of the pit quicker than Boba Fett did? [00:55:56] Speaker 2: Oh, no. No, you can't. I collect the South Park Mezco line. We have maybe six or seven figures that came in recently. They're on the wall. [00:56:04] Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Not, not very often. [00:56:08] Speaker 2: Just so the USG. Yeah. I don't know. Was there a variant on the truck? The cab over Joe truck? I mean, I have the US highway trucking. Actually. [00:56:16] Speaker 1: There's three different boxes, right? [00:56:18] Speaker 2: No, but that's the train set. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Yep. Yep. The trucking is trucking is the one slot car. I also have the original art for that box. [00:56:26] Speaker 3: Uh, ever get seventies micronauts in the store? Do they move fast or slow? So tough, uh, they're tough sales. We do get asked for them and they're, it's like, just when you think you have it done, there's a broken part, there's something wrong with it. And then it doesn't go out. So it's, it's just a problem line. [00:56:44] Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh, do you think Mattel team and T drive up playmate prices? [00:56:51] Speaker 1: I mean, there's always love for nostalgia. I mean, they're originals. Yeah. Right. Yeah. I mean, I'm curious to see what Mattel is going to do. I, yeah. [00:57:03] Speaker 3: I don't know. It's, it's like, if it, if it, if it dies, maybe that pushes up the value, but if it does well, then maybe it drops. I don't, I don't know. [00:57:11] Speaker 1: I mean, to me, they got to kind of come up with their own thing because how many times can you retro the turtles? [00:57:20] Speaker 3: Again. Right. Again. Do it. Do it again. [00:57:23] Speaker 2: Somebody said, have you ever purchased tech deck? Uh, I mean, maybe they go to eBay. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, did I miss any? Oh, wait, I lost the screen. Not again. Not again. Not again. What's that from? Uh, I don't know. [00:57:45] Speaker 5: Not again. Yeah. [00:57:46] Speaker 2: Well, I'm sure it's a lot, but it's like, it's like, not again. Uh. I don't know. All right. Appreciate that y'all seem to genuinely love toys or not just about making the sale. Oh, we love toys. Yeah. I mean, they said. I try to show you other things or, or, or, don't get that. If you know, it could be something cheaper. You're really looking. [00:58:08] Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, yeah. Just finding out what your goal is. Uh, will I draw Josh Brown? Josh Brown says. Like Kate Winslet in Titanic. I'm 52 long hair workout. My wife says I'm handsome. I will charge you for the inconvenience. Do it. Do it. It will. [00:58:28] Speaker 5: You pay the fee. Travis will draw you. [00:58:30] Speaker 3: Do you have Kate Winslet's money? It will be that. [00:58:33] Speaker 1: High monies. Do you guys always wear black? [00:58:37] Speaker 4: It's best color. Sure. Why not? Isn't this a Chuck Norris movie? Good guys wear black. Toy guys wear black. [00:58:44] Speaker 2: It is a movie. Yeah. It's less to think about. Dark shades on it. [00:58:48] Speaker 1: You need a toy federation board game. Let's do it. All the toys have the color. We don't need it. [00:58:54] Speaker 4: You could have like, uh, different places, you know, like. Yeah. The toy places. [00:58:59] Speaker 1: It'd be like mousetrap, but you got to find your way out of sea. [00:59:02] Speaker 4: Centurion Boulevard. [00:59:05] Speaker 2: You know. Dino writer's way. Right. That, that could be boardwalk because they're so hard to do. Oh yeah. That's like the money. [00:59:12] Speaker 3: Yeah. [00:59:13] Speaker 1: As long as it's not like Monopoly. [00:59:15] Speaker 3: GI Joe Junction. It's nice alliteration. [00:59:18] Speaker 2: Any stories of past toys that got lost in, in a movie? I don't know. In a move. Oh, in a move. Why? I cannot read glasses. Uh, uh, no, I didn't lose, but I mean, I hear it all the time. I hear how movers steal people's toys. Oh geez. [00:59:34] Speaker 1: I never lost anything. We moved a lot. [00:59:36] Speaker 2: I had stuff stolen. So let them move your furniture, pack your toys in your car and drive it to your new place. Right. I've heard too many stories from people. Local supporter here. Quick question. I think I'm going to grab the Jordan starting lineup figure tomorrow. That's on the front counter. [00:59:51] Speaker 1: It's still there. It's still there. Yeah. [00:59:53] Speaker 2: Come and get it. All right. So we will set that to the side. [00:59:58] Speaker 3: I am painting your portrait. Can you look up to your left? [01:00:02] Speaker 2: All right. Maybe not. I'd like to have a birthday party. I've thought about that. [01:00:10] Speaker 3: Well, at one time when we had all this room, it was like, yeah, we could. We open up other stores and then it just slowly filled with toys. [01:00:17] Speaker 2: So somebody says, do I watch toy tubers, toy hunting videos? I'll be honest with you. I can. I like a lot of them. I appreciate a lot of them. I don't. Well, I don't watch. [01:00:28] Speaker 3: Yeah. When we get home, we're not really watching. It's like watching work. [01:00:32] Speaker 1: Even though this doesn't seem to be like work to people, but it is work. [01:00:36] Speaker 3: This is exciting to us anyway. Right. Right. We don't. I'm just going to watch a guy. [01:00:41] Speaker 2: I don't. I'm not an unboxing guy, so I don't care anything about that personally. And I have a toy. Like I, it's, it's, it's, I guess it's different. I don't know. Yeah. Any trips on Lego? All right. Wait, wait. Which Hardcastle McCormick opening song do you prefer? Drive or back to back? Both sing by Believe It or Not. It's just me. I don't know. I haven't watched, I need to watch Hardcastle McCormick. So I, I'm not. [01:01:10] Speaker 3: I'll just, you can just fill me in. [01:01:12] Speaker 1: Yeah. He'll tell us who was in every episode. [01:01:14] Speaker 2: So they did the Believe It or Not, I'm Walking on Air song? [01:01:18] Speaker 3: Believe it or not. [01:01:19] Speaker 2: I thought that's Greatest American Hero. Yeah, I thought that was. Yeah. I don't know. Why is the E-Compose so awesome looking in the cartoon, but the toys square noby handed? Ah, I don't know. Yeah. But I mean, they're pretty cool figures. [01:01:33] Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, they're good size for a back. [01:01:35] Speaker 3: A cartoon was great. 80s toys. Sometimes you do have to lower expectations. Sometimes you get them and you're like, that's it? [01:01:41] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Drop a GI Joe microphone down drain, move back two spaces. That's great. Throw Sky Striker over fence, move forward three spaces. Yeah, you get the card and you're like, yeah, lost, lost a heavy metal. [01:01:56] Speaker 3: Heavy, $100. Secret Wars of Dr. Octopus lost the tentacle, move back two spaces. [01:02:01] Speaker 2: Hi, Travis, do you stock any metal Shogun Warriors for the 70s? Aren't we having some? We're going to have some for retro. [01:02:07] Speaker 3: Yeah. [01:02:08] Speaker 5: It's taken a while to build them up. [01:02:09] Speaker 2: Yeah, toy sorceress. That is very good. [01:02:11] Speaker 1: Move your own toys. So this is a good question. Is the store open during a retro toy con? It is not. It's impossible. [01:02:16] Speaker 3: We cannot clone ourselves. It's impossible. Unfortunately. Sorry. [01:02:21] Speaker 2: I wish it could be get in town a day earlier or day after. Just leave Monday. Like if you're flying in or driving back, come to the store early on Monday because we're here early unloading a truck. [01:02:34] Speaker ?: Yeah. [01:02:36] Speaker 2: John Hughes' movie deserves a toy line. [01:02:39] Speaker 3: Breakfast Club. Uncle Buck. Uncle Buck. Huh? I would love Uncle Buck. Uncle Buck. Oh, I would love that. The drill. [01:02:46] Speaker 2: See, hey, look, good guys were black. 1978 American action thriller film directed by Ted Post. Sorry, Chuck Norris. See? There it is. Ooh. That's right. That's why we were black. Good guys were black. Thank you, Toy Contigo. Thank you. We are hilarious. We try. Stewart Fails to Save the Universe is a great show on HBO. I haven't seen that. I don't have HBO, though. [01:03:06] Speaker 3: I watched some of that. It is. Yeah, it's good. [01:03:09] Speaker 1: I don't have HBO. Are you seeing a surge of the new WWE LGN? We've had very few in store. Yeah, a little here and there. I will tell you, the old school LJN, I'm down to nothing. [01:03:22] Speaker 3: So I should trade some, right? [01:03:23] Speaker 2: What is the best Michael Myers Halloween toy, in your opinion? I think it's the box set that NECA did the night he came home. [01:03:30] Speaker 3: Yeah. Or the, what? The porch. The porch with all the little leaves. That one, or I also like the one where he's the kid in the, what's that set called? [01:03:38] Speaker 2: Oh, that's a good one. [01:03:40] Speaker ?: Evolution of Evil. [01:03:41] Speaker 3: Evolution of Evil. I like that one. But the one you named is the best one. It's just. Yeah. Use quarterback to fling poop. Yes. Oh, right. [01:03:52] Speaker 5: That's Carl. That's great. That's gross. That's how you do it. [01:03:57] Speaker 1: Do you have a problem with shoplifters? Not so much anymore. No. [01:04:00] Speaker 2: No. Do you guys have tacos? There's tacos. [01:04:04] Speaker 1: There's tacos everywhere. [01:04:05] Speaker 2: I am lacking taste. Yeah. We have some good tacos here. [01:04:10] Speaker 3: There's like three tacos joints like within five miles. Yeah. He's right. Yes. He is dead right. Monster squad. Monster squad deserves toy line. Oh, yeah. I would. Somebody make it or buy it for me. [01:04:21] Speaker 2: Uncle Buck with giant pancake. Yeah. Yeah. [01:04:24] Speaker 3: You should see the size of the toast. Couldn't even get it through the door. [01:04:29] Speaker 1: Want a clown with the head switch? Did they make? His nose is busted. The O-noid figures. I mean, there's PVCs. Yeah. There's P-VCs. Maybe some like window hanger kind of things. We had one in here. Well, we did. Yeah. So did. [01:04:43] Speaker 3: Back to the Future Overboard if you still have it. Didn't that go to eBay? [01:04:46] Speaker 2: Did that sell? So it's on our eBay. It's on eBay. It sat in here too long. [01:04:50] Speaker 3: Yeah, too long. [01:04:51] Speaker 2: But being with, I don't know, there was a DeLorean in front of the hotel for retro. [01:04:56] Speaker 1: Someone's picking up what we're putting down. I might need to. I might need to pull it. I don't know. [01:05:01] Speaker 3: See, Ramen Toys is doing Airwolf. [01:05:02] Speaker 2: Yes. So I, yeah, I'm direct with Ramen, so I already ordered the Knight Riders, and I will order the Air Ruffs. Air Ruffs? Air Woofs. I'm going to order those Woofs. Air Woofs. [01:05:14] Speaker 3: If your store came to life at the end of the night when you left like Toy Story, which Toyland your store would be boss of all the other toys? The Joes. It does come alive because there's stuff that moves and falls. I don't know. If their show guns got going, they'd probably mess everybody up. [01:05:29] Speaker 2: Man, there's too many Joes in that case. That's true. They'll just take over. The place is crawling at Joes. [01:05:34] Speaker 1: Between that and Wrestlers. Max and Moe are driving. [01:05:37] Speaker 2: Yeah. I think I've said this before. The guy who owns that Goblin. The truck. The truck. Yeah. Yeah. The thing that was on the truck. He's somewhere around here. Eddie and the cruisers, too. Eddie lives in the 1980s. Oh, I like how he's just giving us facts. This is great. [01:05:53] Speaker 3: How hard is it to display those loose figures behind y'all? Are they easy to knock over? We get a lot of practice. Yeah. [01:05:59] Speaker 1: But we do knock over a lot of stuff. [01:06:00] Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. [01:06:02] Speaker 2: Do we think we'll get Spaceballs figures? [01:06:04] Speaker 3: I hope so. I mean... I mean, they were in the first movie. How many people wanted those? You gotta get them at some point. Yeah. [01:06:11] Speaker 2: Yeah, no. We're very good at balancing. [01:06:13] Speaker 3: Right? Let me try. You can go back to the 80s and transport yourself into a classic 80s movie. Which movie would it be? Goonies. Monster Squad. [01:06:24] Speaker 2: Goonies would be fun. [01:06:26] Speaker 3: Monster Squad. [01:06:28] Speaker 2: 80s movie? Raiders of the Lost Ark. I thought he was gonna go Karate Kid. [01:06:33] Speaker 3: Do we pick a movie we like? Oh, Empire Strikes Back. Do we pick one that we benefit from? [01:06:37] Speaker 4: I'm gonna be on Hoth. We benefit from Goonies. [01:06:40] Speaker 2: I'm gonna take down an ad at. Then I'm gonna get an X-Wing. And I'm leaving. [01:06:45] Speaker 3: Hmm. You're gonna crash in Dagobah. We have to be careful if we have to pick our characters, too. I'm gonna be Han Solo. Goonies, you could be the pirate. You could be one-eyed willy. You could be sloth, too. That'd be lame. Yeah. You'd be a Fratelli. That'd be lame. Please, please say... [01:06:58] Speaker 2: That'd be kind of cool. Hey to Allison Miller. She wants y'all's autograph. Hey, Allison Miller. [01:07:03] Speaker 3: Hey, Allison Miller. We'll give you an autograph. [01:07:07] Speaker 2: Travis will draw you a very nice painting for a fee. For a fee. [01:07:11] Speaker 5: Do you like movies about gladiators? Yeah. You ever been to a Turkish prison, Peter? [01:07:19] Speaker 2: Pete Derrick? Do you? I collect Back to the Future, so I'm super excited about retro-rolling your announcement teaser. I was a guy who posted a Jonah Hill meme. Cool. Cool. Uh-huh. Pretty woman, who of you is playing Julie Roberts? Wow. I don't know. [01:07:39] Speaker 1: There ain't gonna be no pretty woman, I'll tell you that. [01:07:41] Speaker 2: So you know those really cool shots? That's a terrible question. Them like sexier shots of her? Yeah. That's not even her. Lame. Like when she's just getting stockings on her. [01:07:49] Speaker 3: All these lies from Hollywood. [01:07:51] Speaker 1: Who would have ever thought? [01:07:53] Speaker 2: It's somebody else. Not that she wasn't a sexy woman, but those scenes were somebody else. [01:08:00] Speaker 3: I want to be Richard Gere and just have the money and just ignore her. [01:08:02] Speaker 2: I did order the new Zelda figures from Hasbro. I don't know anything about them. So is there a new game or something? But my rep called me two days ago and I ordered them. There you go. Thank you, Travis. [01:08:14] Speaker 3: Sure. I don't know why. You're right. In a reference to. I'd want to be Fast Times, Ridgemont High, or Big Trouble, Little China. [01:08:21] Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I'd want to be Big Trouble, Little China. [01:08:23] Speaker 3: Well, they did make figures for that. [01:08:25] Speaker 2: Yeah, it's N2 Toys. N2 Toys, yeah. They're really bad. Yeah, yeah. [01:08:30] Speaker ?: They want to be in the movie. [01:08:31] Speaker 3: And then Reaction. [01:08:32] Speaker 2: Yeah, I want to be in the movie. Goonies. Oh, yeah. I want to be in, yeah. Goonies. Shut up my telephone. The junction box is over here. [01:08:40] Speaker 3: I want to drink the stuff. I feel kind of invincible. [01:08:43] Speaker 2: Nothing or double, Jack. Is it hot in here? No stopping by. Nothing or double. I'm just a poor Chinese boy. You own a restaurant. Relax. Checks in the mail. [01:08:53] Speaker 3: The one thing that always bothered me about the Goonies was that they all just watched the ship sail off. Right. All that loot. [01:09:00] Speaker 4: That was a. Right. Kind of stupid. They might be making a sequel. Who knows? But then a little bit of time goes by and then all the Coast Guard ships show up. [01:09:08] Speaker 3: They saved their homes. Yeah. Snobby, greedy. A little bag of jewels. Yeah. Right. [01:09:13] Speaker 2: Keith says, I just spent $3,000 on a mattress. What's one toy equivalent would cost that amount in your store? [01:09:19] Speaker 3: Eternia. [01:09:20] Speaker 2: Eternia. Oh, we just got a vintage Eternia up there, but it's not that much. [01:09:23] Speaker 3: Yeah. But we had an Eternia in box and that's, that was roughly what it was. Yeah. I'd rather have an Eternia. Maybe a flag. [01:09:29] Speaker 4: Get a cheaper mattress. [01:09:30] Speaker 2: Yeah. [01:09:31] Speaker 1: Sleep on the floor. [01:09:32] Speaker 3: Better for your back. [01:09:33] Speaker 2: Right. But no, it is an important thing, but there's a whole racket with mattresses. You can watch videos about it. They're all a TF horror movie. Who's the killer? [01:09:44] Speaker 1: I'd be the first to go because I don't like horror movies. [01:09:49] Speaker 2: Yeah. Tyler. Tyler? Yeah. They don't know who Tyler is now. [01:09:53] Speaker 1: That tracks. I'm going to be the final guy. It's always the one you don't see. You don't know, right? Yeah. [01:09:59] Speaker 3: No, I'm going to, I'm going to get. Travis is the killer. [01:10:02] Speaker 1: Yeah. [01:10:02] Speaker 3: I would want to be. Killer, mommy. But I, but it would be Tyler. Killer, mommy. It's who you least expect. [01:10:08] Speaker 2: That's true. Yeah. He's your, he's the friend the whole time and he's trying to help you. Guys. But he's really leading you. [01:10:14] Speaker 3: Guys, if we want to survive, we, we got to go jump off that cliff. It's a pillow down there. Got to go hide in the woods behind the dumpster. [01:10:20] Speaker 2: What? One day we need a Toy Federation commercial with ghost pottery wheel scene. Wow. [01:10:27] Speaker 3: Oh. It's just, just like cleaning a toy. [01:10:31] Speaker 2: So you, when you just see him from the back and then when it turns forward, you know, we're like making a toy or something. [01:10:37] Speaker 1: That's like that. All that, you know, the ghost joke, Patrick Swayze. Well, you made a movie. You should have made Ghost 2 now. [01:10:44] Speaker 2: If they made a movie about the store, what actor would like to play you? I don't know which ones would like to. I don't know. [01:10:52] Speaker 3: Is there money? Tom Cruise. Anyone. Tom Cruise. Who has a lot of money? Anyone. [01:10:57] Speaker 2: Donna Reeves. [01:10:59] Speaker 3: What? [01:11:00] Speaker 2: What? I don't know. I have no idea. [01:11:03] Speaker 3: I, I'm going to pick Randall. [01:11:06] Speaker 2: Is it true that y'all filmed a whole season for a toy show? This is true. [01:11:11] Speaker 3: Yes. [01:11:11] Speaker 2: It's sitting, uh, privated, uh, somewhere. [01:11:15] Speaker 1: Somewhere. I think it's in Ryan's basement. [01:11:17] Speaker 2: I just didn't feel like, uh, the offer was where I wanted it to be. So I'd rather just do it this way. [01:11:23] Speaker 3: The best 80s movie is obviously the Terminator, but not to be in. It would suck to be in the Terminator. Yeah. [01:11:28] Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't. Yeah. I've tried to be in Gremlins too. Yeah. Right to a toy con. I'll be looking for a crusher and thin boxed inspector gadget. It is very thin. It is a thin box. It's a thin box. And the plastic tray is really, really thin. Didn't we have one or we sold it at last retro? [01:11:43] Speaker 3: Sold it. [01:11:44] Speaker 2: Yeah. I haven't had a crusher in a box in a while. [01:11:47] Speaker 3: Yeah. [01:11:48] Speaker 2: And he's final boy. I don't know what the storm. Uh, Mortal Kombat. Yeah. But I don't, we don't have them. So I don't know what the prices would be. Yeah. My 12 year old needed a mattress and he picked it out. You spent half your life. No, I, I, I do get it. It's, it's the most important thing. You know, you spend all that time, so you need a good mattress. Right. I'm joking about getting a. [01:12:11] Speaker 3: So, uh, let me, let me answer this one. Did either of you ever watch the show sledgehammer back in the eighties? I did. I did. And I had a professor in college that was a huge fan. Let me borrow the, the entire two seasons. Cause it's not very long. And me and my brother learned the guitar riff for the song. It's like a two part thing. I love that. [01:12:32] Speaker 2: It had a Marvel comic. If you don't know. [01:12:35] Speaker 3: Yeah. I, which I bought from you. [01:12:36] Speaker 2: And the guy who is sledgehammer. Yeah. He is also in Columbo. [01:12:40] Speaker 3: Yeah. He's in a lot of stuff. He's great. [01:12:42] Speaker 2: It's one of the final episodes where he's, uh, the forensics guy and, uh, they kill somebody and then he's going to go to the forensic scene and then they're going to make, and the wife wants, you know, she's having an affair with him. Yeah. They kill the old guy who you'll know from a zillion movies. Yeah. Uh, and, and then Columbo figures it all out. [01:13:06] Speaker 3: My favorite movie of his is a Tom Selleck movie called an innocent man, which is not a good movie. And he plays a corrupt cop that frames Tom Selleck by shooting him. And he thinks he has a gun, but he actually has a hairdryer. So then he goes to prison, becomes like a tough guy, gets out, gets revenge on the cops. Nice. [01:13:25] Speaker 2: Ever get WWF LJ and stretch wrestlers? [01:13:29] Speaker 3: No. Oh, no. No. No. Bert, Bert, Kershner can play. [01:13:35] Speaker 4: Okay. I don't know who that is. Comedian. Comedian. Oh. Yeah. [01:13:40] Speaker 3: Uh, when Hasbro did the custom heads with your face on them, what figure body would you use? [01:13:46] Speaker 1: The, the, like three you got to select. [01:13:49] Speaker 2: I have a screenshot of the head it was going to make for me. That's horrible. With my image. Yeah. And somebody else I know did their head and we both wanted to be stormtroopers. Yeah. And we shared the photos and it was the same photo. [01:14:05] Speaker 3: It looks like a PlayStation one rendered map head. [01:14:07] Speaker 2: And we didn't, like, we didn't look, we don't look alike, but we had dark hair. Like it was like, it was the same. We were going to be the same. [01:14:14] Speaker 3: Not more gooders. [01:14:16] Speaker 2: Manimal was good. [01:14:18] Speaker 3: Uh, uh, for those of you who don't know, Dirty Harry, uh, Sledgehammer was a spoof of Dirty Harry. Yeah, it was. It was good. [01:14:29] Speaker 2: Oh, I didn't know. So somebody said Walt Flanagan at Doris Columbo. That's cool. So when I did an exclusive comic book, it walked into their store, but I told that story. Yeah. Uh, and that was the brony episode. [01:14:42] Speaker 3: Yeah. Are there smoking the bandit figures? [01:14:45] Speaker 2: Ertl did. Ertl. One die cast figure of Burt Reynolds. [01:14:49] Speaker 3: Burt Reynolds. Yeah. That was it. [01:14:51] Speaker 2: Uh, and the only money one is the fall guy figure they did. They did a fall guy die cast. [01:14:56] Speaker 3: Yeah. My best movie. [01:14:59] Speaker 2: That is, yeah, that was sad, especially as a kid. Because they're like, they're not going to be able to get Han and they got to close the doors. I don't know why they got to close the doors. I don't know. Because then I don't know what the reasoning was. Totally non sequitur. My prediction for next year's most popular Halloween costume for men. Avengers, Doomsday, Steve Rogers, no bad outfit, hiking, zip off pants, and a t-shirt so far. Oh, yeah. There you go. Hot toys, toy fed line. I have no idea. Jeez. Sledgehammer was also shown on ABC. [01:15:36] Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. Well, we could answer the hot toys, toy fed line. What would be your, each of your gimmicks and or accessories? It'd definitely be like, like, like a bunch of hands for phones. Yeah. For all of us. And then it would be like, like Q-tips. Yeah. And cleaning accessories. [01:15:57] Speaker 1: I'd get like a screwdriver and a bag of O-rings. You'd give me a vacuum. [01:16:01] Speaker 4: Yeah. [01:16:01] Speaker 3: Vacuum. Vacuum. Yeah. [01:16:03] Speaker 4: Windex. Windex. [01:16:04] Speaker 3: Yeah. Knives for cutting cardboard. We'd have cardboard boxes. Oh, yeah. [01:16:08] Speaker 4: I would just want a clear tote that the figure could just dump on the ground. You'd need like a. Full of little, little doodads. [01:16:15] Speaker 1: Ryan would have some jerky and a jar of peanuts. [01:16:17] Speaker 4: Yeah. Oh, I do like a lot of peanuts. Yeah. [01:16:19] Speaker 3: Energy drinks for me and Andy. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Coffee for you. Yeah. [01:16:23] Speaker 4: Coffee? [01:16:24] Speaker 3: Yeah. Coffee? Coffee. [01:16:25] Speaker 4: I mean, I got to drink this hot. [01:16:27] Speaker 3: You ever get that Hot Wheels Yellow Hulk fan? We've had it a few times. Yeah. [01:16:30] Speaker 2: I got one on my desk in my office. You know, when I was a kid and watched old Columbo reruns, I'd always scream, damn it. He's basing this all uncircumstantial. Yeah. No, it's so true. Or he just keeps showing up in the dude's house and he's not even like charged with anything. Like you just can't. [01:16:51] Speaker 3: He didn't have a warrant. [01:16:51] Speaker 2: All they have to sue is just leave. [01:16:53] Speaker 3: He got by my charm. Yeah. He's like, I got in his house. [01:16:56] Speaker 1: He's like, I just. Probably gave him a cigarette. [01:16:59] Speaker 3: Yeah, I got to go in and smoke. You know. [01:17:02] Speaker 2: There was a phase where they stopped him smoking. He never would light it. And then I guess towards the end, he's like, screw it. I'm doing it. There you go. So then he just lit it again. He'd hold it or he, ah, the wife says it. And then he was like, he's going to light it and then he doesn't light it. [01:17:17] Speaker 1: Oh, one more thing. [01:17:18] Speaker 2: I still have that painting that's in one of the episodes. I contacted the family of the artist who painted it. It's the one where the guy has like two fighting girlfriends and live in the same house. And then the ex-wife lives on the beach down below. And then she ends up dead. And then, but he's a painter. And so then he paints Columbo. [01:17:40] Speaker 3: I have no idea. [01:17:41] Speaker 5: He paints Columbo. I believe you, but I, do you have a visual aid? [01:17:46] Speaker 2: So I figured out, I did some research and this was an in-house guy who painted for Universal. Backdrops, paintings for movies. You needed a paint guy. You'd paint the paint, whatever. And he was just this in-house painter. And I contacted them and they ran the painting, some prints. Oh, okay. Signed. That's cool. 20 years ago or whatever. The guy's dead and the son sent it to me. [01:18:18] Speaker 3: Nice. Nice. [01:18:18] Speaker 2: And I bought two. There you go. And it's, I haven't framed it, but it's like a really good painting of Columbo. Like just sitting and it's huge. [01:18:27] Speaker 1: I missed all these questions. A lot of questions. [01:18:30] Speaker 3: What's your favorite G.I. Joe imaginary base as a kid? Mine was kitchen table and the stairs. [01:18:35] Speaker 2: I built a giant cardboard base. Outside in the dirt. [01:18:39] Speaker 3: I think my favorite base definitely was the Nintendo Styrofoam. Because I used it a few times. [01:18:45] Speaker 2: Yeah. So the Hot Wheel C machines, that's like the Hulk yellow van. Those were super cool. [01:18:49] Speaker 3: You'd look in and it's like the Hulk was destroying the inside of the van. Wasn't that right? Yeah. [01:18:55] Speaker 2: So yeah, Columbo's best role was the Princess Bride. [01:18:59] Speaker 3: Secret Wars Captain America showed up in that background of the movie. Also with some Mean Man figures. There you go. [01:19:04] Speaker 2: E.T. So just so you know, we're bringing Henry Thomas, who's E.T. Or I'm sorry. He's Elliot. And then Dee Wallace, who's the mom in E.T. Right. But E.T. is riddled with vintage Star Wars in the background. Yeah. If you watch that movie, it is like, [01:19:18] Speaker 3: a Kenner selling George Lucas machine. Well, they were buddies and they were cross-promoting in their movies, right? [01:19:25] Speaker 2: Cheers over Night Court to me. [01:19:27] Speaker 3: I like Night Court, but Cheers is the better show. Cheers all day. Like, I like the characters on Night Court, but it's not, the show's just not as good. [01:19:35] Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't care. So somebody said Lucas wouldn't let Mel Brooks make any merchandise. [01:19:39] Speaker 3: I believe it. [01:19:40] Speaker 2: But it's a spoof. Like, I didn't, you had to get permission from Lucas to make a parody? It's like making a scary movie. It has nothing to do with, it's, you just make, so you can make, I don't know. Maybe. More than I did. Or they just wanted to stay friends and not. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, maybe it was too difficult. It was too difficult or something. All right. I already said I only like Cheers. Yeah. I was not a Night Court guy. [01:20:03] Speaker 3: Did you like the Terminator Kenner's figures? Yeah. Travis did. They're good. I like, well, I didn't buy that many. I only bought the T-800 and maybe the T-1000 that blew up. Bio Flesh Regenerator. And then the, well, the Bio Flesh Regenerator was like one of the best places ever. [01:20:19] Speaker ?: That's good, man. [01:20:19] Speaker 3: That's good stuff. I do want to get it again. [01:20:21] Speaker 2: Right. So somebody said, all right, so we're going to be winding down, but somebody said we got a bunch of collectible shops in California, a bunch are very low price. Sorry. I don't know. Yeah. I mean, their rent's probably crazy too, right? So maybe they just. It is California. Did you understand the Max without reading the back? [01:20:39] Speaker 3: So. I don't know what that means. The Max, the comic didn't make a lot of sense. But if you read through the entire series, he did get a writer to help him kind of finish it up and it, he made it made sense after that. But like, he basically wrote himself into a corner for a long time. So no, I don't think anyone did initially, but, but yeah, go read the Wikipedia. It'll help. [01:21:01] Speaker 2: So somebody says, I know you guys had wrestler, all ego, Ethan Page in the shop doing a vlog. Uh, I don't remember that. No. [01:21:10] Speaker 1: I would have remembered that. [01:21:11] Speaker 2: No. Uh. I, I, yeah, I have no idea. I would love for Cardona to come here. Uh. Yeah. The plan was when he did retro toy con the past November, he was going to get in the day. I don't know the night prior and he would have had time to do the store before the show. Right. Then I think he got a match booked in like New Jersey. So then it shortened the timeframe that he could be here and he got late the night. He, he wasn't even, he physically with us for 24 hours. Yeah. Uh, but I'd love for him to come back and see the, to really see the show. Cause he didn't get to see all the after hour stuff. Right. [01:21:51] Speaker 3: Good question. When, when are you guys having the kiss guy back that sold you guys the 12 inch G.I. Joe collection with all the accessories? That's where the money is at the accessories L. [01:22:04] Speaker 2: All right. We didn't buy his Joe's. Yeah. [01:22:06] Speaker 3: He was too expensive. [01:22:08] Speaker 2: Yeah. But I will tell you, so we have a mutual friend and I may have told this story, but, uh, the one friend checks in with him and then he goes, what do you think of that? And he's like, not one of my finer performances is what he said. Yeah. [01:22:23] Speaker 1: Sorry guy. Yeah. [01:22:25] Speaker 2: But, uh, we got to wind down. It's running a little late, but we appreciate y'all hanging in there. Ethan has a video on his YouTube doing a vlog at the shop. So how did we, wouldn't you've known? [01:22:37] Speaker 3: Unless I wasn't here. You're always here. Yeah. But he, he, he didn't tell us. He didn't tell you, didn't tell him. I don't know. Now I got to find it. Uh, did I read Sandman? Yes. It's great. I love Sandman. I, everybody should read it. [01:22:51] Speaker 2: Yeah. I, yeah. I would love to know that he was in the store. Yeah. Uh, hopefully he said nice things about it. Uh, right. [01:23:01] Speaker 3: Uh, y'all have the best prices. I've seen a lot of different States, best pieces. It's like a toy museum for sale. We like to say it's not a museum. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. [01:23:08] Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But it's all, yeah, exactly. But it's all for sale. It's all for sale. But we appreciate you guys. Thank you so much. Happy anniversary again. Yep. Yeah. Uh, and then, uh, like I said, it's coming up. Retro horror. I want to see you. Yeah. Come check us out in September. It's going to be awesome. September 11th through the 13th. It's 70 toy vendors from across the country. It's just like our November show. It's just a guesser horror theme. We still do Friday night dinners, VIP. We feed you on Saturday. We feed you lunch. Uh, it's some killer vendors. Uh, and, uh, I'm even bringing some of the November stuff and teasing it into the September just to let you guys know, look, this is a toy show. Yeah. Uh, it's just, you know, but then we, you know, there's some other stuff there. Like we got this killer sealed VHS booth and, uh, just some cool stuff. So, uh, let's see you there. Do some room trading, lobby swapping. Yeah. [01:24:02] Speaker 1: Come see us. Come hang out. Yeah. Come see us. [01:24:04] Speaker 2: And it's less crowded. So for now, you're not going to be able to move in November. [01:24:08] Speaker 3: But it'll be awesome. [01:24:10] Speaker 2: It is awesome. Awesome. All right. I'll see you guys. [01:24:12] Speaker 5: All right. [01:24:12] Speaker 3: Thank you.
