[0:00] they can't build a simple building they renovate they can't renovate a building but they tell you [0:04] about interest rates and uh and they tell you wrong unfortunately but i want to thank everybody [0:10] you're special people i grew up with you you know every one of you i grew up with you [0:14] maybe in a different form maybe genetically maybe it was your fathers or your mothers [0:21] but i grew up with construction sites and a lot of your families are doing this for a long time [0:28] and you're the best in the business i heard in uh doing the beams you know these beams are among [0:33] the heaviest beams ever set and beau was telling me we're talking about it if you look at that roof [0:39] that roof could actually hold helicopters on it as big as the yard whereas normally as you know i say [0:46] this for the media uh a helicopter if it touched that roof would come right through the ceiling [0:51] that can you could put as many helicopters as you want on the roof that's a very powerful ceiling [0:56] it's drone proof it's missile proof it's bullet proof the side walls the glass is bullet proof and [1:03] drone proof there's no drone can pierce it there's no bullet can pierce it no matter how big the glass [1:10] when you see it you'll see it coming it's starting to come now it's just thick and yet it's perfect [1:16] vision now it's hard to believe you can do that so it's heavy bulletproof glass it's also drone proof [1:22] and small missile if you can believe it small missile and what happens is uh you can take a [1:28] look at it put it in front of your face and you can see through it just like i'm seeing you right now [1:33] it's pretty amazing amazing stuff the technology they have today so you have uh ceilings are drone [1:40] proof missile proof bulletproof before the floor is very thick and all from underneath is totally uh [1:48] designed in such a way it's the safest this is the safest place in washington when when we're having [1:54] a dinner this will be the safest place so you can have world leaders you can have your president [1:59] sitting here they've been wanting uh a much bigger space a much better space than they've had for 150 [2:05] years presidents you've heard me say it what they never intended was getting something like this this [2:11] is going to be very safe you can just sit here let let people do whatever they want you're [2:16] nothing's going to happen this is the most most powerful building structurally the most powerful [2:22] building they say ever built and it was designed that way so the president can have safety he's [2:28] having the president of china or russia or any place else when they're having dinner when they have [2:35] 2 000 guests 2 500 guests they're totally safe it's impervious so i just uh want to tell you that what [2:45] you've done is amazing what you what you're building you're almost we're going to be finished pretty [2:48] soon but the hard part is done and the one thing that i'm most fascinated with is what they've done [2:56] underneath because what you know this goes down five stories it's five stories underneath and the [3:02] military came to me and they said uh sir we've never had this opportunity at the white house because [3:07] it's fragile and going underneath the building would it be possible we did we did everything they [3:14] wanted and it's uh something this they said that's been their dream for 50 years it's been the dream [3:20] of presidents have a ballroom for 150 years so we have everything and on top and you'll start to see [3:25] it we're building a it's a drone port it holds as many drones as you want can hold over 100 drones [3:33] at at the maximum size to weight weight is no problem and you see that when you see the power of the [3:39] structure when you look at steel normally that would just be light steel you see it a lot when they [3:44] build a plant where it's very light steel you can barely walk on it it's dangerous it's just it's [3:49] called a rain roof this is a roof that's a structural roof and rarely done because the span is so long [3:56] that it's very hard to do structurally we ordered the marble for the floor the marble is a really [4:04] magnificent marble it's a cut it's a vein that people have been after for 50 years and the owner of [4:12] the quarry didn't want to sell it but he liked me and he also was so honored to be doing it for the [4:22] country for the white house and the marble floor you'll see it is the most beautiful marble you'll [4:28] ever see it's a special vein this is a vein that everybody wanted for a long time and i got it and i [4:34] got it for the floor of the ballroom at the white house and it's going to be beautiful the walls are [4:41] going to be very you'll see a lot of glass a lot of you'll be looking at the treasury building which [4:45] is right there you'll be looking at the front of the white house and you see if you look back there [4:52] you're looking at the other side of the white house you have north and south and the kitchen is [4:58] underneath because i put the kitchen on top and we have large staircases coming from the kitchen if i put [5:05] the kitchen on top you would lose three walls because the kitchen takes about 30 percent of the [5:11] space so the kitchen is all the space that you have right underneath and it's going to be top of [5:18] the line so there has never been anything built like this and it's for the country and it's free [5:23] you got it free of charge thank you very much and some great patriots have devoted a lot of money [5:30] given a lot of money to get it built and so we didn't use taxpayers money to build this ballroom [5:36] and it's going to be uh when it's completed it'll be the best anywhere in the world you know when i [5:43] was in china we went to the great hall it's called the great hall of china and it's a you know it's [5:49] incredible but this is actually larger this is larger and it will be it'll be the most magnificent [5:55] when you see what we're doing between the marbles and the bronzes and all the different things that [6:00] we're doing top of the line great architects are top architects and uh we have another man that's [6:07] worked with me for a long time together we were the ones that not only cleaned up washington in [6:13] terms of graffiti and and open up uh you know the statues and the fountains and fixed everything up [6:21] made it beautiful and everybody's talking about it but a man that uh helped us a lot with crime [6:27] because crime is almost non-existent now in washington we went from one of the most unsafe cities in the [6:34] country to one of the safest cities in the country and people all day long and white house i walk in [6:42] and people that work there thank you thank you sir thank you thank you so we have a white house where [6:49] people can walk to work when i first came in two years ago my first term was it was different it [6:54] wasn't you didn't have the kind of crime it developed during the biden administration [6:58] it may have had to do with covid nobody knows exactly but it was a killing field washington dc [7:04] and we worked together with experts and we brought in the national guard which were fantastic and we [7:11] worked with washington police and we have now one of the safest cities anywhere anywhere in the world [7:17] but anywhere certainly in the country and uh again this was a place where a young man would leave [7:25] iowa come to see the lincoln memorial the washington monument jefferson come to see whatever [7:31] come to see the white house and they call up the parents i'm sorry but your son has been killed [7:38] and they send the son home in a casket or the daughter in a casket three a week we're losing three [7:47] people a week three murders a week by savages and we moved them out we moved over 5 000 people out of [7:55] washington dc they came in through the open borders and they came in viciously and violently and we had [8:02] a lot of problems with democrats because they wanted to protect killers i mean i don't understand it but [8:07] who does who does makes no sense but we got them out of here we moved them back some were so violent [8:14] some killed many people that we didn't want to send them even back to their country we hate to take [8:19] the cost of having them in jail for the next 50 years but we didn't want to take a chance that [8:25] they'd be able to come back and you know speaking about being able to come back for the last [8:30] 17 months zero illegal migrants have been allowed into our country zero which is something that nobody [8:39] thought was possible so we're very happy about that we're very happy about washington dc people are [8:45] coming to washington uh all the restaurants were closing because of crime and now all the restaurants [8:50] you can't if you're a restaurateur you can't get a space you can't get a space and people are dining [8:57] and they're having a good time and they have a safe it's the capital it's the capital of our country we [9:02] have to make it beautiful and we have to make it safe and this will be down this building when it's [9:07] completed will be one of the great one of the great buildings in washington dc and they'll understand [9:12] that most people understand it just this whole magnificent space will be a very important space in the [9:20] future life of our country so with that i'd like to have the secretary of the interior a great man a [9:27] great success a fantastic governor for eight years in north dakota a very successful businessman and [9:35] he's done a really great job running the interior and thank you very much doug bergam everybody thank you [9:41] very much thank you mr president uh today of course is a day of celebration and it's a day of gratitude it's [9:53] a day of celebration because as our builder in chief the greatest builder that has ever been [9:58] president united states knows he like he said he grew up on construction sites when you get to this [10:03] spot the tradition is the workers have all signed the beam the president's going to sign the beam this [10:08] is the last beam that's going into place it's going to be raised up and that's where we're here to [10:12] celebrate but none of that would have happened without the great american worker america was built [10:16] by people that innovate built by people that build great things and build great things well [10:21] build them quickly there's 512 of them here wearing their jackets out there let's hear it for all [10:26] the great american workers that are here today thank you thank you so much think of it just over a year [10:33] ago this project was just getting started and here we are today at a bean signing uh and of course that [10:39] wouldn't have happened without president trump the vision that he had for this city for safe and [10:44] beautiful also extends right here to this site the white house the national park service which is part of the [10:51] department of interior is responsible for the restoration at the white house president trump [10:56] done more to restore the beautiful historic white house than any president so when the teams are over [11:01] there and some of you have worked over there you're restoring history when you're working here you're [11:07] making history this is going to be a gift for the next hundred two hundred two hundred and fifty years [11:11] this building will stand the test of time historic events will happen here and they will look back to [11:16] this day knowing that all of you were part of it and it wouldn't have happened without president [11:21] donald j trump thank you thank you and jared will just come up and say a couple of words [11:32] they've done such a fantastic job of building they've been our primary contractor please [11:38] thank you sir it's a real honor to be able to work on this campus every day be able to work under [11:49] the leadership of the president just want to thank everybody that's been involved in the project [11:52] it's really spectacular effort over the last year to get us to this point i want to celebrate by [11:57] raising the final beam thank you sir great picture and before you do that you know we sort of mentioned [12:08] a little bit during the campaign that uh about what does trump spend time on the white house well [12:13] first of all it's very little time second of all i like it it's good for me it's relaxing for somebody [12:19] else it's the opposite but for me it's real i love construction but that beautiful white facade was [12:26] half falling off and you know that because some of you helped us with it it was in terrible shape [12:32] the moldings were down in many cases probably 20 of the moldings were off the building you'd have [12:37] windows with a beautiful window and a molding on one side and the molding was missing for many years [12:42] on another and it bothered me very much because that's what i do i like beautiful things and especially [12:50] when it comes to the white house and we had a group of very talented people work with me for the last [12:55] year and we've totally redone the facade of the white house and the finest uh exterior plaster the [13:03] the place was falling apart it was cracked it was broken the windows were broken and cracked we [13:09] replaced numerous windows that were cracked in some cases were outright broken and you'd look at it as [13:15] a guest and when president she was here two weeks ago he said wow the condition is so beautiful [13:20] he said i remember it wasn't that way a long time ago but i will tell you that uh right now it's [13:28] flawless and it's beautiful and you know when i get criticized like why are you working on the white [13:34] house i'm doing it because the white house is the ultimate symbol of america and it's got to be [13:41] pristine it's got to be perfect and if you take a look at it that's what it is right now you have [13:46] no idea how much work we had to do would take uh fiberglass molds of the other side of the of the [13:53] uh molding that was broken because they're very intricate and they'd take it back to shops and [13:58] they'd remake moldings and they'd put it up the way it used to be i mean you'd have windows with one [14:03] third of a molding left and it looked like hell to anybody that knows i think to people that don't [14:09] know it wouldn't have looked good so we did that i'm just looking here and i'm looking at that [14:13] beautiful facade how it's gleaming and then we uh re caulked it repainted it and it's uh it's good [14:20] for another 200 years now you know it opened in 1792 and it was in it was in terrible embarrassing [14:28] shape including the entrances you'd walk in there were broken stones there were stones with big holes [14:33] in them it was terrible so that's why i did it because that's the ultimate symbol symbol of our country [14:40] and this is now a part of that symbol this will be something very special and uh so we're putting [14:46] up the last piece of steel and i thought it would be appropriate to have the media here you're going [14:52] to see something really great thank you all i want to thank you all great job you've done and we'll see [14:57] you again at the official opening which won't be in too long a period of time you're all invited thank [15:04] you very much everybody we're going to lift this and then we'll do it [16:36] i got to be back [16:37] ideally it won't fall on you if it does we'll call you family [17:13] we're going to go down this way this is safety reasons we're going to go sit down the aisle [17:23] we're down the aisle [17:24] on top of that room in it but it'll be all drones [18:15] why don't we ask uh if you want a couple of questions while they're rigging it how about [18:48] having that in the background though [18:49] uh we'll stay out of it i mean you're going to be you know jim jim was i think he was really [19:07] uh all of them everybody everybody that we're we're dealing with but uh the speaker was fantastic the [19:15] uh the people under him were fantastic all good people i guess right now you have two candidates [19:22] right [19:23] did you have to speak for this stuff now no no no [19:26] mr president vice president vance says the reason republicans lost the war [19:30] lost last night was the war in iran well i think it's uh largely true because it drove the gasoline up [19:38] a little bit short term and probably that's uh probably it's true but at the same time if i had [19:44] it to do again i'd have to do it again because long term uh it's the only answer you can't let [19:48] iran have a nuclear weapon do you feel like it was more good i do yeah i mean well you have no choice [19:53] i mean i thought the oil would go up a lot more and i did it on that basis you have no choice you [19:58] have to do it you can't let iran have a nuclear weapon or everything that you see here someday might [20:04] not exist and uh maybe this but this building might be the only one that does so yeah i i think that [20:11] uh look i mean i'll get along probably with the democrats unless they want to be destructive [20:16] but they have the power of the veto so if we don't like what they're doing or they'll [20:20] they've already called and they want to talk about things and that's fine but yeah people [20:25] the iran thing we had to do and we continue to do it uh we have tremendous oil flowing out of the [20:32] almost right now at the beginning there was none and uh probably that's the primary reason the [20:39] the price not the war the price [20:41] no look i mean if i were on the ballot we would have won you saw the people there were packed [20:55] thousands and thousands of people at every rally and if i was on the ballot we would have won [21:00] but they just you couldn't transfer that love there was such love at those rallies it was incredible [21:05] one uh we weren't able to transfer the love to candidates did you did any of your aides try to [21:11] talk about that speech on one day which one are we talking about one of the reflecting [21:16] did any of your aides advise you to do something i heard it was a very good speech got great reviews [21:22] that was only a speech on the reflecting board that had nothing to do with anything else that was [21:26] a speech uh very much like this is today on this incredible place that we're building at the [21:32] white house that's going to be here for many many years and serving our country well that that was [21:37] only a sort of a ribbon cutting because the reflecting pool hasn't worked since 1922 it's uh [21:44] you know over a hundred years it's never worked so it's leaked and was always a mess and we fixed it [21:50] we made it great that that was not a speech that was just talking about the reflecting pool and then [21:56] a couple of other comments i mean our speeches were really the speeches made at the 30 rallies and [22:02] those speeches were that was tremendous love it was it was pretty amazing [22:07] i can't tell you that they may tell you but i can't tell you [22:13] no no no no are you concerned about it not even a little bit i think it would destroy i think it [22:22] would destroy the democrat party if they did that because impeachment for no reason what for having a [22:28] successful country our country is more successful now than at any time in its history watch the beam go [22:33] up you gotta slide back those i'm sorry back back back back back all the way back it's bigger than you [22:54] thought right and this is chandeliers okay okay i'll stay here now envision chandeliers all over you [23:23] see envision marble floor oh it's going to be this will be the most beautiful ball yeah probably july [23:41] right right right right it's going to be great middle to end of next year but depending on surfaces [23:51] what's this okay okay you know it's not steel that's used on a roof to hold back rain [24:17] you know it's to hold helicopters did you guys see the helipad from uh up top how beautiful that is [24:32] it's incredible it's incredible this is going to be more incredible i thought the pressure [25:08] should be here this was a non-press event i said this is the greatest right do you see the helipad [25:28] from all of them yes i do well don't take a look mr barton talented people that they're there very [26:07] talented they put all this steel up in three weeks can you believe it the whole thing was done in two [26:53] and a half weeks pretty amazing how are you good good job and that'll fit perfectly within a hundredth of [27:17] an inch can you believe it seriously yeah they rarely have they rarely have to do any chopping [27:25] watch pretty amazing the entire building every single hole was perfect which is rare but we had [27:37] great people the federal reserve and the others what a shame you know those guys are standing under [28:06] you know personally i'd pass on because if one bolt if one bolt fell down that's it your history [28:18] pretty amazing would you like to move over there then right under that look that's right under [28:26] we'll send margo let's send margo no if anything fell off there but they do it except the secret [28:35] service guy's not very well protected i don't think he has any idea what's going on about see [28:42] the way that fits it's like a glove see the this rug that they put right through it look at it fits [28:50] perfectly now they bolted in and that's the end of that pretty good right that's pretty good go [29:01] ahead did you have any other questions did you know the vice president was going to post x message [29:07] talking so much about the results of the war and how it impacted it well i don't know i knew the war [29:13] was going to impact it but whether it impacted or not iran can't have a nuclear weapon no but the vice [29:19] president wrote a very lengthy post about how the war impacted the results last night did you know [29:25] i knew he was i know how he feels about it i think it was i think it was fine yeah i thought it was [29:32] good uh we knew that i know that i knew that when i went in and we stopped them from having a nuclear [29:38] weapon and they will never have a nuclear weapon have you spoken to vice president dance yeah [29:42] yeah about 2028 what is i'm speaking about a lot of things but uh i mean we'll see what happens [29:51] everybody uh i mean you don't know who's talking about running you can have people running [29:56] you're gonna have a lot of people maybe a lot of people running maybe nobody's gonna run maybe [30:01] he won't run i don't know who's gonna run but i can tell you that as far as that war is concerned i [30:07] would have done nothing different we've totally broken their military their navy's gone their air [30:12] force is gone their anti-aircraft is gone the what well it's just there they it's a thing that they do [30:41] and here's the interesting thing somebody will walk after we're gone they'll walk right across that [30:46] pick up the tree and walk there aren't too many people can do that you need very good balance [30:52] now do you know that they'll leave that tree well we're gone a guy will walk right on that beam take [30:57] it [30:57] well what did end no i didn't say that i said their nuclear weapons will be destroyed [31:09] and that happened with midnight hammer and you know what they fall sometimes and when they fall [31:40] it's terrible whenever i wanted to but it's got to be done right and we're never going to let them [31:48] have a nuclear weapon it's got to be done right but of course i knew that i knew fuel would go up [31:54] i thought it would go up two or three times higher than it is and now today it's coming down and yesterday [32:01] it dropped where the day before it dropped 10 points uh no we uh we've done a great job the [32:06] homo strait is open it's uh producing wall street journal cover of the wall street journal a couple [32:12] of days ago it's producing more oil right now than at any time prior to the war so [32:18] considering replacing secretary himself no i think he's doing a very good job [32:23] so you don't want him to bill morse blacker in the senate to be appointed [32:26] well i think he i think he's doing a very good job and i i actually think he'd be very popular [32:32] if he did that but i haven't heard that at all [32:34] no no look when i said fast we stopped them from having a nuclear weapon very early on [32:45] when we did the raid great stuff right [32:54] if you want to see the helipad bring the cameras over here let me show you [33:02] we'll just let look at it it's a work of art go up there watch your head watch your head [33:16] watch the helipad is so beautiful people [33:20] watch your feet as good to go through this rebar through here so you can go to the far side [33:23] watch your stuff should i walk out the other way i probably should walk through the man [33:27] you could be nice [33:29] you could be nice
