[0:00] costs crushing americans this week we saw inflation top four percent in case you're wondering that's [0:05] the highest it's been in three years interest rates also high gas prices grocery prices all [0:12] high but president trump shrugging off these new numbers sir mr president about the latest [0:20] inflation number which came out this morning could that be no i love it the numbers were [0:24] great you know what i really love i love the inflation i love the inflation the president [0:31] added that prices will drop like a rock when the iran war ends now whether americans believe that [0:37] that's the real question former president joe biden figured out the hard way that telling americans [0:42] the economy is doing great as inflation and prices continue to rise well that's one of the reasons [0:48] why he likely was a one-term president well now it's president trump is he making the same mistake [0:54] as biden we have the highest stock market in the history of our country president biden's economic [1:02] plan is working we have the biggest tax cuts ever we have the biggest regulation cuts ever the [1:07] greatest economy ever bidenomics well they didn't mean it as a compliment at first and now the american [1:17] dream is back this is truly the golden age of america the biden economic plan because you all is [1:22] actually working it's working the stock market has set 68 all-time record highs since the election [1:29] it's a plan that i'm happy to call bidenomics that's the american dream all right so quite a few [1:36] comparisons there i spoke to former congresswoman marjorie taylor green who went from trump's inner [1:41] circle to being labeled a traitor by the commander-in-chief here's what she had to say about [1:46] americans potentially seeing lower prices soon with a deal to end the war currently on the table well you [1:55] know the president has said i think approximately 38 or 39 times before that he has a deal with iran [2:02] i think for many of us we'll believe the deal when we see it actually inked and signatures signed [2:09] so so i'll wait to see that happened many people are very furious and frustrated about this war because [2:16] it was a key campaign promise in 2024 no more foreign wars and people were fed up with the biden [2:23] inflation that we had experienced for years during the biden administration and high gas prices but here [2:29] we are uh it's against the campaign promises that we made in 2024 uh we're back in another foreign war [2:37] that has driven inflation and driven gas prices so what i hear from everyone i talk to is they'll [2:43] believe it when they see it which is not a good sign going into midterms yeah i want to get to the [2:49] economy in just a moment you've said all along about the message that the president put out america first [2:56] you've been against this conflict like many americans with iran but i want to ask if the middle east and [3:01] the world are they not safer with the non-nuclear iran moving forward well you know it's very interesting [3:08] to me former director of national intelligence tulsi gabbard when she addressed congress months ago [3:14] she informed congress that iran was nowhere near having a nuclear weapon um and i think her information [3:22] was accurate and that also goes along with other nuclear regulatory agencies they said the same [3:28] thing but here we are in a war with the president of course saying uh iran cannot have a nuclear weapon [3:35] no we do not want iran to have a nuclear weapon but that goes completely against what uh former dni [3:42] tulsi gabbard had said the other nuclear regulatory agencies um but this is you know this is something [3:48] americans have gotten used to is uh basically what we view as propaganda that comes from washington [3:54] that leads our military off into some war in a foreign country and too many of us have friends and [4:00] family members that are veterans that have to live with ptsd and other horrific injuries and we never [4:06] want to see a flag american flag draped coffins coming home from a foreign country that many of us can't [4:12] find on a map and have never been to and what we want is we want a strong economy we want to [4:18] a washington dc that's focused on americans not on how much money they can make an insider trading [4:25] on oil prices that go up and down government contracts for friends and family members [4:30] and ignoring the real problems like social security that will be bankrupt in 2032 [4:36] so um it's just gotten to the point sadly where many americans are just tuning out because they're [4:42] sick and tired of what they perceive is just more lies and empty promises why do you believe the [4:48] administration went to war with iran i think they went to war with iran on behalf of israel and [4:56] that's what president trump has said himself that he went um for israel to keep israel safe [5:03] and israel is our ally in the in the middle east but americans also send a lot of money to israel [5:09] 3.8 billion dollars every single year and americans have gotten to the point where they're saying [5:16] what am i getting out of this um we have our health care system is is overpriced health insurance is [5:23] to a point where nearly 30 million americans don't have health insurance because they can't afford it [5:28] and the future is not looking too good if you're a gen z-er and millennials are simply fed up so um [5:34] yeah you know i i i'm like many others i'm i'm very much unapologetically america first i wish [5:41] everyone else in the world well but we need to focus on our problems here ms ella green i do want [5:46] to turn to the epstein files you were among four republicans in congress who fought to get this [5:51] information out there you've resigned representative tom massey lost his may primary to a trump back [5:58] challenger representative nancy mace just failed to make the runoff in her state's race for governor [6:03] where trump also endorsed a rival only representative thus far lauren bobert will return to the house next [6:09] year but she could of course see a primary challenger in the next cycle do republicans truly have a choice [6:14] or is it fully support the president or be ousted well you know it's it's shocking to me that president [6:22] trump fought for republicans harder than he's ever fought any democrat in spite of all of his campaign [6:28] promises saying in quote he told his rally goers rally after rally he said i am your retribution but [6:36] yet no one has ever been held accountable on the january 6 committee no one's ever been held [6:41] accountable for all the coveted lockdowns and crimes against humanity and no one's ever been held [6:47] accountable by any so-called democrat crimes or even the stolen election of 2020 but president trump [6:53] called me a traitor simply because i stood for children and women who who were victims of epstein and [7:00] in the epstein class and then he targeted thomas massey and nancy mace and and lauren bobert i'm [7:06] sure will remain in the crosshairs but you know i think i think that's the hypocrisy that so many people [7:12] point out is how did the president end up fighting uh republicans and i actually have a 98 percent voting [7:20] record with president trump and so do my colleagues why did he target us instead of targeting democrats [7:28] and why did he work so hard to cover up the epstein files that is one of the biggest errors he's ever [7:34] made and it's one that he simply can't undo yeah your political career has been so fascinating just a [7:40] year ago people would have described you as one of the president's closest allies today some of the [7:45] supporters like you mentioned see you as a traitor who changed here was it donald trump or was it marjorie [7:51] taylor grin it's 100 donald trump and just to be clear a traitor is an american that serves a foreign [8:00] country i'm not a traitor i don't serve foreign countries however i stayed true to my beliefs and [8:07] my principles but when i told the president that i was getting death threats and my son was getting [8:13] death threats because he was calling me a traitor he told me that i deserved it and that's something [8:21] that i will never be able to come to terms with and i think it's unforgivable no one's child should be [8:27] have their life threatened uh simply because of politics and political rhetoric but that's what [8:33] donald trump caused to happen to me and my family and he's not sorry about it and so um no i i fully 100 [8:42] percent i remain who i am i have one of the most conservative voting records in the house [8:47] um but i simply am not loyal to a man uh not at all um i have a faith in god i served in my district [8:55] and um i refuse to be a victim have you spoken to the president since then since you resigned from [9:01] congress no i have not spoken to the president since he told me i deserved it when i told him about death [9:09] threats on my son all right fair enough let's move on i want to ask you about voting in california [9:15] many frustrated with all the votes still not counted we know it's a slow process recent laws making [9:21] showing id illegal as you well know in your great state of georgia in 2021 they passed the election [9:26] integrity act adding id requirements limits on ballot drop boxes expanding in-person voting does [9:33] california need to take a page from the peach state which direction should our country be going to ensure [9:38] safe and accurate elections in our country not just speedy yeah absolutely california should take a hard [9:46] look at georgia and the changes that they made here to the election laws i think um everyone across [9:52] the country thinks it's an absolute joke that california can't count their ballots up um by the end of [10:00] election day and watching ballots just continue to roll in where it literally changes the election [10:06] results um days to weeks after election day it's hard to take that election serious um so from [10:14] literally everyone i know they're just saying that uh california's elections are are completely [10:21] completely wrong and and probably illegal we talked on a number of topics and stay tuned for [10:29] our next hour of prime where we'll have part two of my interview with former congresswoman marjorie [10:35] taylor green we'll ask her if the oval office does she have aspirations to become president and we'll [10:40] also get her take on the ufc match at the white house tomorrow again that's in the next hour right [10:46] here on prime stay with us who's that marjorie trader green uh i don't think her life is in danger [10:55] i don't think frankly i don't think anybody cares about her from president trump's inner circle to being [11:03] labeled a traitor by the commander in chief after resigning from congress marjorie taylor green is now [11:08] teasing something new next the people of this country are what matters i won't stop living i [11:15] won't stop speaking and i won't stop fighting and neither should you so in the five months since leaving [11:22] capitol hill the former congresswoman has not held back in fact she's become even more vocal about her [11:28] disagreement with the white house from the war in iran inflation and so much more even throwing that [11:34] traitor term back at trump over his handling of the epstein files here's part two of my conversation [11:40] with former congresswoman marjorie taylor green you've left congress but no one believes you're truly [11:47] done with politics what's next for marjorie taylor green well what's next for me is um continuing to be [11:54] outspoken um and and really trying to take a focus and put it on america first which is where it should [12:03] be you know i'm a mom i have three kids in their 20s and um you know i'm i'm 52 years old and there's [12:10] one thing i i pretty much i'm sure of i don't think i'll ever get a social security check even though [12:15] i've paid a tax into the system my entire working life and i think my kids future looks looks pretty [12:21] bleak and so i'll continue to be outspoken um i've just launched a new series called life with mtg [12:28] where i will be talking about many of the issues of the day but also telling stories um and making it [12:36] clear and obvious about what's really happening in congress and in washington dc marjorie taylor [12:43] green marjorie taylor green marjorie taylor green she's been leading a very valiant fight [12:47] we did not vote for this we voted for an end to foreign wars they are going to lead us into world war [12:53] three release the epstein files every single name marjorie trader green trader is an american that [12:59] serves foreign countries and themselves my sole focus is putting america first we don't give a crap [13:05] about your opinion but i'll also share other personal parts of my life i'm very much a regular person [13:12] and i like to be open and honest about the things that i think are good and and things that i really [13:18] enjoy doing so i look forward to that republicans need a 2028 presidential nominee with your new show [13:25] congratulations by the way the country's going to get to know you even better thank you does america [13:30] need marjorie taylor green for president 2028 oh my goodness um you know i don't i don't know who all is [13:37] running for president in 2028 but i certainly hope whoever does the american people will support a [13:45] candidate that is laser focused on our own country and our own people and and not making themselves [13:53] wealthy and fighting foreign wars across the world but actually solving problems for americans so if not [13:59] miss taylor green then who what about vice president jady vance secretary of state marco rubio when you [14:04] hear those names floated around do you have any thoughts on that if they run for president uh they will [14:12] definitely be carrying um basically their job performance and the trump administration's any [14:20] any type of great things they've done or baggage that they've done they'll be carrying those with [14:25] them onto the campaign trail in the debate stages so um i i still think it's pretty far off we'll see [14:32] who's actually running president trump is celebrating his 80th birthday this weekend there's a ufc fight at [14:39] the white house what do you make of the event and do you have a birthday message for president trump [14:45] well i think ufc fights are great i enjoy watching them but to be honest with you i i don't really [14:50] think they belong on the white house lawn and i don't think americans taxpayer dollars should should [14:56] have to be um paying for that we have a lot of other important things that we should pay for [15:02] however i i do hope it's a great event and of course i always wish the president well i wish every [15:08] everyone will um so we'll we'll see how the event uh unrolls i do want to ask you about a former [15:15] colleague in georgia senator ossoff he's seen growing chatter about a potential 2028 run for democrats [15:21] your thoughts on ossoff you think he'd be a good face for the democratic party at least [15:26] uh i don't support senator ossoff's uh voting record and and policies um and i'm not a democrat voter [15:34] so it's it's hard for me to say who is a good chosen candidate for them um i'm pretty much tired [15:40] of both parties i think both parties are pretty much epic failures we're nearly 40 trillion dollars [15:46] in debt now and we have many problems facing americans so i don't really it's hard for me to say [15:53] who's a good candidate for which party or the other marjorie taylor green thanks for making time
