[4:19] Carl Frampton and Darren Barker. [4:21] I'm excited by this one. [4:23] You know when The Zone released the May schedule? [4:25] And we saw it. [4:26] Some big names on there, right? [4:27] Nakatani, Inoue, Fantastic, Benavidez, Zerdo. [4:30] This one, for me, was the hardest one to clearly pick a winner. [4:33] This is what was like Ooman and Aarin all the time. [4:36] Yeah, I think so. [4:37] I'm still not sure who wins the fight. [4:38] And I don't think anyone can say with any sort of degree of certainty that who they think is going to win this fight. [4:43] You can make an argument for both guys. [4:46] Daniel, I think, has the best chance early in the fight. [4:50] I think the later the fight goes on, Fabio has a better chance then. [4:54] But I do not know. [4:56] I just expect it to be an unbelievable fight. [4:59] It's quality. [5:00] I mean, it's absolute carnage. [5:02] Like you say, as soon as you see this on the schedule, wow, it's a blockbuster. [5:05] It really is. [5:05] It's, you know, fair play to Fabio Wardley having this as his first defense. [5:09] It's incredible. [5:10] And there's loads of variables that this could be won and lost. [5:12] You know, there's a lot of questions. [5:14] Daniel Dubois, I would say, is the hardest puncher Fabio Wardley's been in with. [5:19] You know, Daniel Dubois is up against someone who has no quit in them. [5:23] Fabio Wardley will just keep going and going and going. [5:25] And you put it all into a pot. [5:27] It just comes out as a great recipe. [5:30] I spoke to Fabio a few weeks ago. [5:32] We did a little sit-down interview. [5:33] And I said to him, I was on BoxRec. [5:35] This was just prior to the interview. [5:37] And I said, according to BoxRec, you're number two of 1,635 heavyweights. [5:42] I mean, in that list as well is Olympians, former world champions, [5:45] guys that have been boxing since they were four or five. [5:47] And here you are, a guy that's been boxing since you were 20. [5:50] And you're number two on that list. [5:51] It's an incredible achievement. [5:52] It is an incredible achievement. [5:53] See, to be honest, I think he's making a bit of a mockery of the sport. [5:57] He's got to the top, and he only started when he was 20. [6:00] You know, guys like me started at seven. [6:02] And that's why I had the career that I had, because it was so long in the game. [6:06] But he never laced up a pair of gloves until he was 20 years old. [6:10] Ten years later, he's a world champion. [6:12] Do you know what? [6:13] I think sometimes, in some ways, that helps him. [6:16] You know when you do have this amateur pedigree, [6:18] and you learn not to make mistakes? [6:21] He sort of forgets about that, and he just does him. [6:24] He just commits to his own game plan, and I think that's what's made him so dangerous. [6:28] This was a standout performance for Fabio Wardley. [6:31] It was the first real big-name former world champion in Joe Parker. [6:35] He never feels sorry for himself, does he, Fabio Wardley? [6:37] No. [6:37] You know, he could be losing on the cards. [6:39] We see that against Hooney, against Parker, but he just finds a way. [6:42] The man's box office. [6:44] Yeah, and technically as well, he's getting better, isn't he? [6:46] We're watching him, and for someone that took up the sport late, [6:48] sometimes those things are obvious to see. [6:50] You watch him, especially in that Joseph Parker fight, [6:53] where he's fighting on the back foot. [6:54] Yeah. [6:54] And he's slipping and he's sliding, and he almost seems like he is a veteran of the game, [6:58] though, who understands the fundamentals a bit better. [7:00] Yeah, but I think he is getting better. [7:02] I think you're right and fair to say that. [7:04] And as the level of opposition goes up, which it continues to do so, [7:08] then he will continue to get better. [7:09] I mean, you go from the Fraser-Clark fights to Hooney, to Parker, and now Dubois. [7:13] I mean, you could say Dubois and Joe Parker are probably similar sort of level, [7:18] but what Darren said is absolutely correct. [7:22] Nobody that Fabio Worley has been in with has been able to punch as hard as Daniel Dubois yet. [7:26] Now, he has a good chin. [7:29] We've seen that tested time and time again, [7:31] but getting hit by Daniel Dubois is a little bit different than getting hit by even Joseph Parker, [7:37] who's a credible, fantastic world champion, former world champion. [7:41] So we'll see. [7:42] We'll learn a lot more about Fabio and how he's good his chin actually is. [7:46] Who do you rank higher personally, Daniel Dubois or Fabio Woodley? [7:51] You've got... [7:52] See, I always go back to the governing bodies. [7:54] You know, if you've got a world title, then you have to be ranked higher. [7:57] But with what Daniel's done in the past, [7:59] I could see why people would have Daniel in front. [8:01] I get it. [8:03] It's just a brilliant, brilliant fight for so many reasons. [8:07] I mean, this was a massive one. [8:08] I think the majority of people have AJ's favourite going into this, [8:12] but he was a man possessed. [8:13] He's got to find the same sort of spirit, [8:15] the fighting spirit that he had in this fight for Saturday night. [8:19] He's got to go out there, all guns blazing. [8:21] You know, you can't be, you know, you can't overlook Fabio at all, [8:26] but you've got to go out there and do you. [8:27] And that's exactly what he did in this fight. [8:29] And Karl, it's the magnitude of the fight, isn't it? [8:31] I mean, it was 90,000 at Wembley. [8:33] It's almost a people's champion in AJ. [8:36] You know, he got gifted the IBF belt, not winning it in the ring. [8:39] So there was so much on the line here. [8:41] And he just came and, as you say, I think that's correct, a man possessed. [8:45] He walked to the ring like a man possessed. [8:47] And he's got that energy here at fight week as well. [8:49] I've seen him kind of go nose to nose with Fabio. [8:51] And he's on it. [8:52] He's ready to go. [8:53] He looks like he's ready to be let off the leash. [8:56] That's the next impression. [8:57] I get he's someone who's busting the go and busting the fight. [9:00] And, you know, Daniel doesn't say much in the press conferences. [9:03] It's normally a similar sort of thing that he says all the time. [9:05] But he just looks like he wants this and he wants the fight. [9:08] But Fabio expects that. [9:10] Fabio knows what they expect. [9:11] I think the difference between this fight and the AJ win for Daniel is [9:16] he wasn't expected to win this fight. [9:18] I think a lot of people have Fabio winning this fight. [9:21] A lot of people have Daniel winning this fight. [9:23] But there's not many had Daniel. [9:25] I think the majority thought that AJ was going to. [9:27] So there was no pressure on him. [9:28] This fight there is pressure because if he loses again, [9:32] it's a difficult road to get back to the top. [9:35] And how do you deal with that? [9:37] All right. [9:37] That is a fantastic main event. [9:39] It really is. [9:39] Again, champion versus former champion. [9:41] Daniel Dubois, the former IBF heavyweight champion, [9:43] the current WBO heavyweight champion is Mr. Fabio Ward. [9:47] It's a fantastic card as well. [10:04] Morrell's only defeat is to David Benavides, [10:06] who he went toe-to-toe with. [10:07] So that all of a sudden looks like not a bad defeat. [10:10] Liam Cameron will take on Bradley Ray. [10:12] Jack Rafferty moving up to 147. [10:14] Takes on Echo Usman. [10:15] And Fabio Wardley versus Daniel Dubois. [10:43] It's going to gel, isn't it? [10:44] You know, both like to be the boss. [10:46] They like to be in control of the tempo. [10:48] And I think a fight of this magnitude, being on this card, [10:51] they're just going to lock Horn's center of the ring, [10:52] and it's going to be absolute bonkers. [10:55] Yeah, I mean... [10:55] That's the ideal kind of warm-up fight for the main fight. [10:59] I mean, people are going to be in the arena. [11:01] They're going to be buzzing. [11:02] They're going to see two guys get just stuck in each other. [11:04] We know how they box. [11:05] Ackles got the engine. [11:06] Jack Rafferty goes too. [11:07] And they're just aggressive fighters. [11:09] Always on the front foot. [11:10] So, yeah, great one off. [11:11] This was a cracker. [11:12] This was a really good fight. [11:13] And so was Echo Esserman against Cattrall. [11:15] Yes. [11:15] You know, how well Jack Cattrall started. [11:18] But Echo Esserman doing what he does best just grew into the fight. [11:21] You know, he got done in the end. [11:23] But still, it's a brilliant matchup between two very good fighters. [11:26] And you almost forget Esserman's really good performance away from home. [11:29] I say away from home, right? [11:30] It was still in the UK. [11:31] But when he went to Scotland to beat Josh Taylor, [11:33] that was Josh Taylor's sort of coming out of the party at 147. [11:36] And Esserman said, not on my watch. [11:38] Yeah. [11:38] And he looked really good. [11:39] And then, obviously, as you mentioned, he gets the Jack Cattrall fight. [11:41] But I think what he showed here as well is that he can be aggressive. [11:44] He's happy to start on the front foot and continue. [11:46] One thing we know about Esserman, Carl, is he can do this at 12. [11:49] Yeah, it's the engine. [11:50] Yeah. [11:50] It's the perfect nickname for him, Echo the engine. [11:53] And he just doesn't stop going forward, doesn't stop punching, high output. [11:57] And sometimes people can't deal with it. [12:00] And in this fight, Josh Taylor just, I don't think he could cope with the pressure from Echo. [12:04] And obviously, coming up on weight, too. [12:06] How much were the Jack Cattrall defeat taken out of Esserman? [12:09] I mean, we were all ringside for that. [12:11] And it was a bit of a beating. [12:12] I mean, he took a lot of shots in there. [12:14] He's remembered the eye was really gruesome as well. [12:16] Do you know what? [12:17] I thought he can take a lot away from that defeat, if I'm honest. [12:21] Because he really grew into the contest. [12:23] As it got going, you know, he started finding a bit of momentum. [12:27] So he strikes me as someone who's very naturally quite confident anyway. [12:32] I don't think he'll be looking at that with too much bad feelings. [12:35] I think he can just push on and do what he does best. [12:37] The good thing with Echo is the more the fight progresses, the more he gets into it. [12:41] So it might take him a few rounds, but you cannot sleep on that man. [12:44] I remember a few weeks ago thinking that this card had almost had the heart ripped out of it [12:48] when we saw Jared Anderson versus Solomon Dacus off the card. [12:51] All of a sudden, Jalilov gets added to the card, [12:53] and David Morrell gets added to the card, [12:55] who had that incredible fight against Benavidez eight, nine months ago. [12:59] And all of a sudden, by the way, that defeat to Benavidez doesn't look bad anymore [13:03] because Benavidez is destroying everyone. [13:06] Absolutely. [13:07] Dropped Benavidez, didn't he? [13:08] This man is an absolute beat. [13:10] He's so good. [13:11] He's so quick. [13:11] I mean, he's so spiteful. [13:13] When he goes through the gears, he's an absolute pleasure to watch. [13:16] You know, Zach Chelly, who's capable, who can fight, but he's... [13:21] That was against Gattaya, that one. [13:22] I remember doing that one in Queens. [13:24] This is a tough fight for him. [13:26] He found the way. [13:27] And do you know what as well? [13:28] He's happy to get stuck in. [13:30] You know, he can mix it up. [13:31] Yeah, he can box lovely on the back foot, be the sharp counterpuncher, sharpshooter, [13:35] or he'll get stuck in. [13:36] Really good fight out there.
