CBS Sane Washed Trump's Madness on 60 Minutes - I Bring Receipts!

[0:00] juliet jesky decoding fox news so okay on sunday cbs 60 minutes uh aired a 13-minute video with [0:08] donald a trump it was right after the shooting at the white house correspondence dinner and then [0:13] right after that they released the full 40-minute interview on 60 minutes overtime and what i did [0:19] for my media project is i took both versions i went through them it's a very painstaking [0:24] tedious thing to do and i created a transcript that shows my readers exactly what got cut and [0:30] what didn't if you want to see a free it's available for anybody transcript with a little [0:35] bit of additional commentary you can check it out at my sub stack the link is going to be in the [0:39] description of this video but i'm going to just show you one quick clip um now when you see this [0:45] in color that's what was aired on sunday on 60 minutes and when i switched to black and white [0:51] that was what was cut now this is just one example i'm not going to go through the whole video but [0:55] i'm just going to go through one example here this is at the very beginning of the interview [1:00] um norah o'donnell asked trump a very standard question trump answers then there's a cut [1:07] switches to black and white which again this is the footage that did not air on sunday but [1:12] cbs included it in 60 minutes overtime and so you can kind of see what they did in in terms of sane [1:18] washing trump because his answer doesn't make a ton of sense is rambling goes on and on includes a lot [1:25] of information that is not necessary for this interview here we go mr president do you know [1:32] if you were the target of the gunman i don't know it sounded to me i read a manifesto it's just he's [1:40] radicalized he was a christian a believer and then he became an anti-christian and he had a lot [1:47] of change he's been going through a lot based on what he wrote his brother complained about him and [1:53] i think reported him to the police and his sister likewise complained about his family [1:57] he was very concerned he was probably a pretty sick guy i want to get to all of those details and [2:05] also walk through this what happened last night but first this appears to be the third attempted [2:13] assassination on your life the first in butler the second of course on the golf course in florida [2:21] why do you think so many people may be trying to kill you so i've said it and i've said it [2:27] numerous times and i've actually because of the position i'm in i've done quite a bit of research [2:32] into the word assassination terrible word and they go after consequential presidents they go after [2:41] other presidents that do things if you look at what i've done we've turned this country around we've [2:47] taken a country that was actually a dead country it was dying very rapidly and it's the hottest country [2:53] anywhere in the world we had a skirmish a war whatever you want to call it with venezuela we won that [2:59] very decisively and we now have a great relationship with venezuela it's been a very profitable relationship and [3:06] we're in iran right now other presidents should have done it but they never chose to do it they should [3:12] have they made a terrible mistake by not doing it it's tougher now than it would have been 10 years ago [3:18] or even five years ago because you know thousands and thousands of missiles and everything else if we [3:25] didn't do the b2 bomber attack that alone was a big deal the killing of salameni which i did in my first [3:31] term was a big deal but when you're a consequential when you do things a lot of things and things [3:36] that work out very well for our country uh abraham lincoln was assassinated mckinley was assassinated [3:43] mckinley made the country very rich people don't realize that then teddy roosevelt went out and spent [3:49] the money that was made by mckinley but he was very consequential actually but he was assassinated so of [3:55] course cbs is going to edit an interview like that simply because most interviews are way too long [4:02] and anyone gives kind of rambling answers from time to time but what you just saw there with [4:07] trump kind of talking about i've done research into the word assassination and then he goes into these [4:14] completely bizarre tangents where he brings up the bombing of iran then venezuela then he brings up um [4:22] mckinley because why not he could have mentioned garfield but he didn't anyway he was also assassinated [4:27] um just saying uh that is more typical of how trump actually talks and most americans don't see that [4:35] they don't see the rambling crazy because they're not going to sit through what i'm going to sit [4:39] through which is you know an hour and a half long press conference and at the end when he just goes [4:44] off script that's what he sounds like and that's a real shame because more americans need to see that [4:50] that is how this man thinks and speaks which is one of the main reasons why i do my trump without trump [4:56] videos so anyway thanks for watching if you like this contact please like
