[0:00] U.S. President Donald Trump has to say that. The government practically has gone. You know,
[0:03] their drone factories are about 82 percent down and their missile factories are almost 90 percent
[0:11] down. And many of their missiles have been knocked out. They used some, but we knocked out more than
[0:17] they used. And it's pretty amazing what's happened. They want to make a deal. But despite the fact
[0:23] that we are in what some people would call a war, we just hit a new high today on the stock market.
[0:29] We have S&P through the roof. They're all, I mean, they're through the roof. And, you know,
[0:35] when we hit 50,000 on the Dow and 7,000 on the S&P, I said to myself, we've got to do something
[0:43] about Iran. They want to have a nuclear weapon. You can't let them have a nuclear weapon. And I
[0:46] hated to do it to my people because they said 50,000. Peter, you know this, that 50,000 wouldn't
[0:52] be obtainable in my four years or anybody's four years. And we had 50,000 in my first year,
[0:59] the end of my first year. We had 7,000 on the S&P. They said that would be even less attainable.
[1:05] And we hit that at the end of the first year, before the year was up. And then I said to Kevin,
[1:11] sorry about this, Kevin, but we have to put out a fire. And the fire is taking place in the lovely
[1:17] country of Iran. And they want to have a nuclear weapon. And if we didn't use this beautiful, see
[1:22] that plane right there, that beautiful B-2 bomber? It looks small there, but it's actually quite
[1:29] doesn't look very powerful there, but it's quite, quite large, actually. We ordered, actually, we
[1:34] ordered 25 more of them, the updated version, all built in America, which is very nice. But
[1:40] if we didn't have that B-2 bomber, if we didn't go in and do what we did, we obliterated that nuclear
[1:47] capacity of theirs. And so they never, they didn't get the nuclear bomb. If we didn't do that attack,
[1:54] should have been done long before I came along by other presidents or by another country or something.
[1:59] But it should have been done long before I came along. But they are in very bad shape. And they've
[2:07] got nothing going, including leadership. I mean, you know, their leaders are gone. Now they have a whole
[2:12] of their first string leaders are gone. Their second string leaders are gone. Now we're dealing with
[2:17] their third string. But we'll see what happens. It's been an amazing, it's been an amazing period of
[2:25] time between Venezuela and where we're doing great. We're getting along with them great. We're working
[2:32] very closely with them there. They're doing more oil now than they've done in many, many decades,
[2:39] actually. And they're making more money. And so are we. You know, we're like, it's like a joint venture,
[2:44] to be honest. And we've paid for the attack many times over. The attack, something you've never
[2:50] heard before, probably. I always used to say to the victor, belong with the spoils. But we've paid
[2:55] for the attack, which is always expensive. But it was a less than one day attack. It was actually a
[3:02] 45 minute attack. And that's a good, you know, they have a good military in Venezuela. But this,
[3:06] they did not expect that and that and that and that. Other than that.
[3:12] But when these suckers come at you at 2,500 miles an hour at 25 feet off the ground, you say,
[3:20] this is not what I bargained for. This is no good. Anyway, so, and now, you know, Venezuela was
[3:27] amazing. But now we're, we're doing essentially, it's larger, but we're doing essentially the same
[3:32] thing in Iran. Can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon. And their economy is crashing. The blockade is
[3:39] incredible. The power of the blockade is incredible. They're not getting any money from oil.
[3:45] And hopefully it can be worked out very soon. Iran is proving to be very stubborn. The talks
[3:52] seem like they are stalled. Are you getting antsy to break the ceasefire?
[3:57] Well, I mean, I don't know what stubbornness because really nobody knows what the talks are,
[4:03] except myself and a couple of other people. They want to make a deal badly. We have a problem
[4:10] because nobody knows for sure who the leaders are. It's a little bit of a problem. You know,
[4:14] the leaders have been wiped out along with their military, almost all of their military. I mean,
[4:20] think of it 159 ships was their total Navy, Navy 159 ships are gone. They're underwater. They're
[4:30] way below sea level. Sea level is big difference. Pretty deep waters over there too. So, um, I don't
[4:41] know that we need it. We might need it. And on Iran, a little while ago, the president of FIFA
[4:47] said that when the World Cup is here in the US, the team from Iran will be playing in the games.
[4:53] Well, if Johnny said it, I'm okay. Did Johnny say it?
[4:57] You did? Johnny Infantino. That's a piece of work.
[5:00] What if they win?
[5:01] Well, they wouldn't have to worry about that. That's not,
[5:05] I'm going to have to worry about that one. Look, you know what? Let them play well.
[5:10] Johnny's fantastic. You know, he's a friend of mine and he, uh, he talked about it. I said,
[5:16] you do whatever you want. You can have them. You don't have to have them. Probably have a good team.
[5:21] Do they have a good team? Do you have any idea? I have no idea.
[5:25] It would be hard to believe, actually. But, uh, I think, let them play, right?
[5:30] Mr. President, it's a little bit different, but what is your take on these reports that your show?
[5:36] The apprentice is going to come back, could come back on Amazon with host Donald Trump Jr.
[5:43] Well, well, I've been hearing it. Look, we had a great success, 14 seasons,
[5:48] and the apprentice was a tremendous success. So I've been hearing that, you know, a little bit.
[5:53] So we'll see what happens. He's good. He's a good guy. He'd be probably good. He's got a little
[6:00] charisma going. You need a little charisma for that sucker. So we'll see what happens. Uh, yeah,
[6:05] they told me about it. We'll see. Thank you, Mr. President. There's been some talks about changes to your
[6:12] security after what took place. Changing my security. Changing your security after what took place.
[6:16] Well, they did a pretty good job, actually. You know, they stopped the NFL running back. I mean,
[6:21] he was like a running back. In fact, if you ever got out, they're probably going to sign him. He was a
[6:27] speedy guy, but he was stopped. They had many levels in front of him before he would even come to us.
[6:34] You know, you could be a baseball team and win 19 to nothing, and somebody could say,
[6:43] you should have won 21. You should have gotten 25 runs. The team was no good or something.
[6:48] So I can only say that I know a lot of those people at Secret Service, and they were good,
[6:54] and they were forceful. And I saw the guys in front of me. They were powerful looking guys. I said,
[7:01] we could send them to Hollywood. They could make movies. I think that there's always room for
[7:09] improvement, right? And he got into the building. The problem is that I know that's what I do. I
[7:15] build buildings like that. Much nicer, actually. But I build buildings like that. And, you know,
[7:21] when you have a thousand rooms sitting on top of a ballroom, and you have the elevators coming down right
[7:28] near the entrance, it's a pretty tough situation. Now, right outside, we have something that's on
[7:36] time, on budget, actually ahead of time. All right. That was the U.S. President Donald Trump
[7:42] speaking there at the White House. He has referenced Iran. He says he also referenced Venezuela,
[7:50] saying it's been an amazing period of time with what's happening there. They're making more money,
[7:55] he says it's like a joint venture. Let's now go to Alan Fisher, our U.S. Chief Correspondent there.
[8:02] Alan, what stood out for me was that he said we have paid for the attack many times over,
[8:08] which is always expensive, in reference to Venezuela, perhaps because of the criticism
[8:13] that the Trump administration has been receiving on the mounting costs of this Iran war.
[8:20] Well, certainly he says that they're taking in oil from Venezuela, but a lot of that money is
[8:24] going back directly to Venezuela, unless something is happening behind the scenes that we are not
[8:29] privy to. I think perhaps the most startling thing when it comes to Iran is that when asked about the
[8:34] talks being stalled, he said, you don't know that. There's a couple of people who know what's going
[8:39] on with the talks, and that's me and a few other people. And he said that Iran is desperate to make
[8:44] a deal. Many times throughout the last six weeks, we've heard from the administration saying
[8:50] what Iran says in public is not what they're saying in private to the Americans. And Donald
[8:54] Trump kind of alluded to that again, suggesting that yes, Iran is struggling because of the
[8:59] blockade. He's talked about how he could keep that in place and that they are looking for a deal.
[9:05] Otherwise, we had a lot of what Donald Trump has said in the past that they've destroyed the Navy,
[9:09] destroyed the Air Force, destroyed their air defenses. But of course, we had on Capitol Hill recently
[9:14] that Iran still maintains 40 percent of its drone capacity and at least 60 percent of its ballistic
[9:21] missile program. I may have got those numbers flipped around, but it's roughly that. And that suggests
[9:27] that if the ceasefire were to break, then they could respond to anything that the United States
[9:33] were to throw at them. Certainly, there has been discussions in the Oval Office throughout Thursday,
[9:38] we are told, that discusses what the next stage is. And that's something that goes on all the time.
[9:42] They're constantly reviewing plans, constantly reviewing the situation. One of the things that
[9:47] was being discussed was the idea of a short, targeted, very intense barrage on Iran that either
[9:54] forces them to the negotiating table or perhaps leads the Americans to say that was the last thing
[10:02] that we needed to do and this war has been won. All of that will play out. But it's clear that Donald
[10:07] Trump doesn't seem overly worried about the ceasefire ongoing and seems very confident
[10:12] that Iran is chasing a deal. But once again, gave his red line, no nuclear bomb for Iran, not now,
[10:19] not ever. All right. Thanks very much. Alan Fisher speaking to us there from the White House.
[10:24] Thank you very much.
[10:30] Thank you.
[10:32] Thank you.
