TOY STORY 5 (2026) — POST CREDIT SCENE: Zurg Returns, Buzz Lightyear Drone Army & More!

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: zerg is back and yeah bro how about those buzz lightyear drone upgrades sheesh what a way to round out this movie that's right slurp nation pull up because arguably the biggest movie of the year has just hit movie theaters worldwide and you know what that means we are strapping in and breaking down all the biggest scenes moments and reveals starting here today of course with that massive post-credits scene let's get into it after the first run of credits and taylor swift's song plays the film cuts to a playground sunnyside daycare perhaps i definitely thought that at first bro i was like damn we about to go get barbie and ken but nah don't think it was because the scene is focusing on a boy sitting by himself obviously lonely kind of like bonnie earlier in the movie one of the buzz lightyear drones descends from the sky delivering itself to the boy before the whole squadron of buzzes follows suit and look we got a pause sidebar with me real quick what we call in these things buzz drones i don't know man but yeah we have known for years that we were getting a buzz lightyear army in the fifth movie little did we know that they'd be responsible for some of the best moments in the movie i mean come on bro these high-tech buzz light years are the first things we see in this movie this group of toys are shown shipwrecked on a deserted island in the first scene after a container from a ship falls overboard and washes ashore eventually this group heads across sea and land in search of star command whom they believe to be jesse you know given she's got a star-shaped badge in that anyway after a bit of a misunderstanding rog buzz eventually gets them on side and drops a bombshell on them honestly one of my favorite lines of the entire movie this was jokes like part of me thinks this is just a callback to toy story 2 aka the best toy story movie another part of me is like nah this is straight up diss at the lightyear movie and that weird ass zerg reveal they did in that anyway i'm yapping what i didn't see coming was the fact that these are some serious new tech buzz light years yeah bro they ain't just broadband building toys these rangers are straight up drones i mean this was straight up fire like a part of me does think they just did this so they could sell a mad advanced buzz drone toy this christmas for like 400 quid but still what a moment man especially when woody directly calls back to you let's be honest the most iconic toy story moment of all time sheesh pixar we're cooking here man but yeah back to that post-credits scene because you are definitely caught up yeah man that entire buzz drone army comes down like some kind of modern warfare mission kind of had me shook i was surprised the kids weren't screaming and running for cover but nah man each pairs off of a different kid honestly it's a really sweet moment showing how the buzzes have come to understand the deep meaning of a life spent playing with kids and yeah it's a nice way of paying off an earlier moment when one of the buzz figures is found in the woods by a pair of kids on a camping trip when the rest of the mandem sneak into their tent to try to rescue him he waves them off and it's clear that he has found fulfillment but come on that's not it because certainly the digital tech back at the front of these new buzzes starts to flash red danger bro danger yeah man the camera then cuts to a brand new high-tech zerg toy who declares himself as he first did in toy story 2 to be buzzes father love it man and fam i've already seen a few people online like oh this is teasing toy story 6 and zerg is going to be the main villain nah man that's straight cap like think about it for a second zerg showed up in the toy story 3 post-credits right and then he didn't magically become the big bad of toy story 4 nah man this was just a fun way to wrap up the buzz drones arc and pay off that joke from earlier in the movie love it either way though okay okay what we thinking fam how did you like the post-credits scene you happy with a silly joke or would you have preferred a full-on tease for a sixth movie leave your thoughts down below and while you're down there don't forget to hit that sub bell come on man like we said we are going big on toy story 5 content this week and you ain't gonna want to miss any of that we've got more scene breakdowns theories and of course pitches and concepts for toy story 6 thanks for tuning in brethren i've been shane for slurp peace out
