The Scariest Aisle at Dallas Vintage Toys!

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Hey everyone! It is Amber and Rooster here at Dallas Vintage Toys getting y'all ready for a [00:00:26] Speaker 2: super special Halloween video. As y'all may know horror movies are one of my favorites and Halloween is probably my favorite holiday so this is really cool that we get to host the Halloween special so we're going to go through the aisle show off all the cool horror stuff we have maybe do some pit stops at the predator and alien section show those off as well but let's get started in this section we're standing in right now. Now when you come down the NECA figures are going to start you off but we have those classic monsters everything from the wolfman to the mummy to dracula to my favorite of the original but the creature of the black lagoon. I don't know why I've just always thought he was really cool I love his design in monster squad I wish he got more screen time in that movie um just some really really cool figures. Amber I know um your dad is a big fan of the Jaws [00:01:20] Speaker 1: movie here. Yes he is and we have some figures for that as well and and we also have the fun board game that they uh re-released from NECA and that one's super cool so if you're a Jaws fan we got those we got tons and tons of figures from other movies lots of classics lots of movies that Rooster and my dad have shown me because I'm gonna be honest I haven't seen a lot of movies especially horror movies so they think it's always really fun to show me these cool classic movies like we just watched Robocop uh not too long ago that one in Robocop 2 uh The Thing we watched that not too long ago and that one was phenomenal if you have not seen that it is an absolute gem of a horror movie. Well I'm also a little biased for that [00:02:08] Speaker 2: movie because um that is that is my favorite actor you know any movie he's in I think it's really good whether it's The Thing, Sky High, uh the new Monarch series on Apple for Godzilla I mean it's just really cool and I think that it's cool that his son is also playing a younger version of himself in that but back to the horror one of the cool things we got in is the Ultimate Sam from Trick or Treat this is one of my favorite horror movies there is I love um you know anthology films where you get a little bit of all kinds of different stuff it all culminates at the end to something really cool but it has a lot of really really fun ones I think my favorite little mini one they do is um there's like a bunch of dudes dressed like vampires and they lure all these like people to a party because they're gonna like kill them and drink their blood and it turns out the people they lure in are werewolves and they turn and they attack them but I just thought that was like a funny twist at the end of it but it is one of my favorite ones uh now for one of my favorite campy horrors we do have Friday the 13th I love this series I know the first one was scary when it came out but I love how it's kind of devolved to this more campy slasher kind of series um one of my favorites and I know I'm gonna get you know some angry angry comments about this one but I love Jason X it is so stupid and I love that one so much I love that he becomes a big cyborg at the end he has like that giant fight with the with the robot girl I think it's a lot of fun so if you haven't seen it it's a fun movie go check it out even if it's probably the goofiest out of all the Jasons but I still think it's better than number nine and I think it's better than Jason takes Manhattan which only takes what 10 minutes in New York I don't even think it was filmed in New York I think it was filmed in Vancouver yeah it's on a on a cruise ship most of time but we have some other really cool things here such as these bad boys here from NECA oh these [00:04:04] Speaker 1: are some of my favorites they're like the little action figures of the Ben Cooper uh like Halloween outfits from back in the day those real goofy like masks and garbage bag uh like shirts he put on I love those um Ben Cooper is one of my favorite like artists of that time I just think it's so like iconic and I love Halloween so of course we got some cool little Halloween dudes right there [00:04:36] Speaker 2: then coming on down we have a bunch of alien versus predator figures we got in we got a bunch of these xenomorphs left so definitely want to come and pick those up and then a little fun fact about myself the first movie I ever went to go see on a date with someone was the 2019 The Predator not the original but the really bad one and it was probably one of the worst movies I've ever seen and I actually apologized to the girl afterwards because I was like if I didn't like it I know that you didn't like it either so um kind of a kind of a failed date I'll admit on that one speaking of which we have the movie right there but like I said a lot of really cool alien and predator stuff one of my favorite franchises so it is cool that we do have a bunch of those xenomorphs bunch of aliens alien resurrection I don't know if a lot of people saw that one I know it wasn't very well received I actually like that one a lot I thought it added a lot to the lore of it so I thought it was cool that it kind of inspired a lot of the comics that take place afterwards uh because I do enjoy the comics from alien versus predator so it is just super fun that that's kind of what started even if the movie wasn't all that good now one of Amber's favorite cartoons that came out a long time ago was gargoyle [00:05:57] Speaker 1: so I'll actually let her talk about this oh I do like gargoyles he's totally not overstating that a little bit but I have seen it and it is super super cool um I think that they mentioned bringing it back but I don't think that fell through which is unfortunate because it is really really cool you know Keith David's one of the voices in it it's just super iconic gives that really great gothic feel and we have tons of the really cool NECA figures for it they're massive with their wings um good articulation lots of fun accessories and stuff so if you're looking for some cool iconic cartoon um figures check that out here in the horror aisle all right say their catchphrase jalapeno [00:06:42] Speaker 2: oh there's something real scary Pidge from Voltron now going back to the alien versus predator we actually have so much that we had to put some over there but we now also have a whole section here as well so if you were like oh I see a lot of xenomorphs I don't see a lot of the predators they're over here hiding from you you didn't see them because they have that camouflage going on but we have a lot of cool ones everything from the jungle hunter to the city hunter anything you could want we have them here even some of the ones from the video games that don't appear in the movies but not only do we have them we also have some of the humans too such as Dutch played by Arnold there so we do have a lot of those really really cool figures here if you follow me we'll go check out some of the more ones that we have in the video game room [00:07:32] Speaker 1: all right and moving over to the other room in the doll aisle I wanted to show off some of our really cool monster high dolls just in time for Halloween whether you're looking for some of the creep reduction ones or some of the really cool Skelector movie ones like the Annabelle the shining the twins we actually have both the original release and the second release and the crown jewel is the Pennywise collector so these are all absolutely gorgeous and just an absolute amazing piece to add to any monster high or if you're kind of a more glamorous horror collector these are a great [00:08:13] Speaker 2: addition to any collection now if you want to open things you feel bad about opening box items this is where we have some more of the loose ones we have a lot of the xenomorphs loose in here and we also have some more of those video game predators I see some concrete jungle back there I see the berserker we even have some Ellen Ripley's in there some really really cool xenomorphs the runner from the third movie it looks like we have big chap I know everybody's always looking for him I think he has the coolest design one of the coolest designs of the aliens just because I like that hollow head piece he's got so you can kind of see the skull underneath something I think is really cool I also love that xenomorphs take the appearance of the things that they get attached to in fact that was one of the things I really liked about the 10th mortal kombat game was when the xenomorph attaches to a tarkon it came with the blades and its teeth were more mangled like the tarkons and I thought that was just something really really cool that they do so it is always fun whenever like in the comics and movies they attach to something that isn't human and they have some weird variation like they'll come out with wings or like they're huge or or something like that I always think that's really really cool um and then if you go down here horror adjacent we have a lot of Hellboy um a lot of the Ron Perlman movie which is really cool uh one of my favorites is definitely Abe Sapien but it looks like he might have already got picked up unfortunately but we still have a lot of the Hellboy himself and Liz so if you're a big fan of that come on down check it out I know we have some of the comic versions in the other room but I know most people are looking for the Ron Perlman version so it is really cool that we [00:09:49] Speaker 1: have that Amber you just watch those I did Hellboy's really cool that's my statement um um I don't know if he mentioned it but in here we do have a lot of these predator figures from NECA these are some of the earlier versions and the packaging on them was real fragile and that's one of the reasons why they're in the case and so it's really cool to have them there on the card in almost pristine condition because normally those come in loose because like I said the card tends to fall apart very quickly [00:10:26] Speaker 2: hey guys so talking about some more horror stuff as you know Halloween's coming up so definitely want to show off some of the figures we have over there because we have a lot of these really cool living dead dolls as well as this special edition of the exorcist so it's super cool that we got these in I know a lot of people ask for the living dead dolls so it's cool that we have some in we've got everything from Jack from The Shining to the little twins we even got some more exorcist stuff here a lot of people say this is the scariest movie they've ever seen so definitely show some appreciation and come pick these guys up going on down maybe not so scary but definitely some classic stuff here we've got everything from Freddy to Jason we even have one of my favorite not very well known horror movies the Ghoulies I love this little dude who pops out of the toilet to attack people but you can see they also made some other not some well-known full moon creations here so it is fun that we have some of that stuff in I love that Gary Busey is the ginger dead man in that first movie so it is just a fun flick if you haven't seen it definitely check it out now for more of my you know modern horror fans we have a lot of the terrifier as well this is a sought-after guy right here old art the clown I think he has another movie coming out I think I heard so it is cool that we've got a lot of them in we'll probably get the new ones when they come in as well so if you're looking for some cool terrifier figures Dallas finished toys definitely has them so come on in check those out and then some more classic we've got some Frankenstein we've got the crypt keeper here the creep and we even have Quint versus the shark from jaws you know the 50th anniversary was just a few years ago uh so it is really cool that we got these guys in one of my favorite things that I learned about this movie was that the shark malfunction almost every single day but honestly I think that kind of helps with it kind of keeps it hidden so it is fun that um you know a malfunction was turned into something that made the shark even scarier than what it would would have been if we saw it all the time so if you're looking for anything like these add your collection whether it's a classic monster a new one some kind of creepy doll it's here Dallas finished toys you just have to come [00:12:43] Speaker 1: in and pick it up I'm gonna hand this over to rooster because I know nothing about this [00:12:50] Speaker 2: all right guys so a little hidden section that not a lot of people know we have over here is this is where we keep our toxic crusaders and we've got a lot of toxi and it looks like we got a lot of dr killemoth left so it is just really cool we have him in you know there was a movie they had a little cartoon with it which the theme song for the cartoon is awesome if you haven't heard it look it up on youtube but uh it's cool that we got him in I think a movie just came out like a remake I haven't seen it yet so I don't have any opinions on it I know Peter Dinklage did it um Craig is giving me a thumbs down so I guess it wasn't that good but I won't make an opinion until I see it myself but it is really cool that we got these guys in I believe this one glows in the dark as well which is always a fun gimmick for toys um I think that's also really smart with anything toxic to make it glow in the dark kind of give it that more like irradiated feel almost so it is just a awesome section we have in uh not a lot of people see it because a lot of people actually don't come into the corner so they miss a lot of our dc and our uh stuff over here but now that you know after watching the video definitely come check it out because we have more in the back as well so definitely come look at that and then I think the last thing we're going to show off for the horror is we have some masks to show off jordan would you mind handing me the masks down there [00:14:15] Speaker 1: yes j money [00:14:21] Speaker 2: so we've got a bunch of halloween masks such as the beetlejuice snakehead and you'll probably see me wear this in a couple of the videos william shatner himself michael myers and if that's too scary for the kiddos we do also have some turtle masks down there of all the turtles we've got raf mikey donnie and leo uh you just have to come and pick them up you know make them a turtle for halloween amber anything to sign off with [00:14:53] Speaker 1: well come visit to the store um in time for halloween yep we're gonna be dressed up it's gonna be super super fun um we love halloween we love seeing people come in in their costumes it's so much fun getting to sell some cool horror figures because this is the time to do so we're just super pumped for it and if y'all don't see it in time to visit i hope that y'all have a happy and safe halloween oh and also if y'all don't know this we have a really really cool website go visit dallasvintagetoys.com we have a wonderful curated selection of vintage toys that me and sean are adding stuff every day too
