[0:00] On one of the latest episodes of Piers Morgan Uncensored, Donald Trump's British BFF relentlessly [0:06] grilled his wildly incompetent former press secretary, Katie Zachariah, the one who was [0:13] only there for five days, half a Scaramucci. And it was really hilarious to see how defensive [0:19] she got about her historic failure in that crucial role of being the official Trump [0:25] spokesperson, the official spokesperson of the White House. We have to talk about it because [0:29] the confrontation was glorious. But before we unpack all that, if you end up liking this [0:34] video and you want to support the channel, please be sure to hit the like, subscribe and [0:38] notification bells before you go. All right, folks, I've got several clips I want to play [0:43] of this Piers Morgan Uncensored exchange between Piers Morgan and the dearly departed Katie [0:50] Zachariah. And when I say departed, I just mean from her position as White House press [0:53] secretary. And as you're going to see in this interview, it's probably for the best. [0:57] Only 37 people in history have held the title of White House press secretary. It's a position [1:05] of significant power and responsibility. They are the public face of the presidency and [1:09] a voice for the 4,000 appointees to deliver the president's agenda. The whole world watches [1:15] when they speak. Well, two weeks ago, Katie Zachariah stepped up to the hallowed podium for [1:20] her first press briefing as the new press secretary. The whole world was indeed watching. It's probably [1:25] fair to say she may now wish they weren't. Good morning. I am so honored to work for [1:37] President Trump and the American people. President Trump secured the biggest oil deal in world [1:44] history, delivering the U.S. majority control of more than 65 billion barrels of proven oil [1:52] reserves in Venezuela. He had a historic one day war. And now we have a booming economy and [2:00] a great relationship with Venezuela. So my president, excuse me, my husband, that's a good one. My [2:09] husband is out here. So thank you so much. [2:12] Oof. So you recall that, right? You recall how terrible that was. Historically bad. So I'm [2:21] surprised she actually agreed to have this conversation with Piers. Perhaps she suspected [2:25] in her defense that Piers, given that he often grades Trump and MAGA and the Republicans on a curve, [2:31] perhaps she suspected it would be a softball interview. It was not. And let's start with this. [2:38] Some questions for me. [2:39] This has been adjudicated and litigated all throughout the media, Piers, and working for [2:47] President Trump ahead of the midterms was an incredible experience. I think we should be [2:52] focusing on the work that he's doing and the work he has done for the United States and quite frankly [2:57] around the world. We should be grateful for the Greenland deal, for instance, that he was able to [3:02] secure, especially at the northern border of your home country, where he is not going to allow [3:07] adversaries to have military bases so he can protect the United States and other global interests. [3:12] Why aren't we covering that? Why aren't we covering the first million barrels that arrived in Texas [3:17] yesterday in his historic $65 billion barrels of oil deal that he made with Venezuela? [3:25] Why aren't we covering these wins? Because nobody wants to talk about what he's actually done [3:29] for the economy and for the world, for our border security. They all want to focus on red herring [3:35] trails. And this is exactly why I'm out here, because I want to promote exactly what President Trump [3:40] has done and is doing for the American people, especially ahead of the midterms. [3:46] Well, it sounds like you should be the press secretary. [3:51] Pierce, it was exactly why I wanted the job and not necessarily the press secretary role, [3:56] but my excitement has always been what President Trump has done for the American people. Look, [4:01] I lost friends and family in 2020 for my support of him. I have been a staunch advocate and supporter [4:07] of him all throughout my media career. It was always my most exciting topic to be able to cover [4:13] everything that he has done. I have four kids. And I decided in 2020, if I didn't fight now for [4:20] President Trump, that we would lose the republic. Look, I go. [4:23] So all of that, you see, she's still awkward. She's still stilted. She has a hard time persuasively [4:31] making the case. She's visibly nervous, visibly uncomfortable. And she's just doing the thing [4:36] she says she wants to do, which is advocate for Trump. Why is that so hard? [4:41] Go back to 2016. And I think about what would have happened to our country if President Clinton, [4:46] or excuse me, if President Trump had not won, and Hillary Clinton had won, Pierce. This is the type of [4:51] experience, especially looking at the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court justices, President [4:57] Now, I do agree with her there. She recognizes that the Supreme Court was the whole ballgame. [5:03] Too many people in 2016 didn't recognize it. I need everybody just as a sidebar to get on [5:10] fucking board with the fact. And it is a fact because anyone who's disagreed with me on this [5:15] has always lost the debate, has always been proven wrong. The Supreme Court is the single [5:21] most important consequence of a presidential election and a midterm election because we need [5:28] the presidency to nominate Supreme Court justices and we need the Senate to confirm them or to block [5:35] them if the presidency doesn't go our way. Katie Zachariah gets it. That's the one thing I'll say [5:42] that she's dead right on. Donald Trump has shaped politics for generations by appointing these [5:49] conservatives to the court and a conservative supermajority. We need to break that, which is [5:55] why we need to win the midterms and then win the presidency in 2020 and pack the court. Pack the court. [6:01] Anyway, point for you, Katie. Let's hear how you close this part out. [6:05] Trump was able to appoint during those four years. We would have a completely different country had [6:11] Hillary Clinton both been president and had the opportunity to appoint three Supreme Court [6:15] justices. I don't even know if we'd have a country at this point. So it has been my obligation [6:20] and excitement to support him. Katie, I get it. I get it. Katie, I get it. I'm just not entirely sure [6:26] you've realized you're no longer the press secretary. You do realize you're not the press secretary, [6:32] right? Well, I'm not living in Washington, Pierce. I'm out here in California and I am still going to [6:39] continue fighting for President Trump. He has a very famous line. So you can see again how awkward it's [6:47] getting right and how the tension is building up. Well, let's hear the next part. [6:51] Katie, come on. Katie, he's told the entire world what he said to you. [6:56] Pierce, I'm not going to mince words or split hairs over this. I will not disclose private [6:59] conversations that I've had with the president. I will keep fighting for him every single day, [7:04] no matter how hard the media wants to spin, no matter how hard anchors, pundits, reporters, [7:10] journals want to spin what he's doing and focus it on me. I will continue fighting for him. I am [7:15] ruthlessly loyal. I always have been and I will continue to be Pierce. This interview should [7:19] not be about me. It should be about the fact that we are less than five days away from the [7:24] midterms and I have been able to experience that with him. Katie, Katie, Katie, Katie, Katie, [7:29] the whole point of the interview was it was about you. You know that and I know that. So come on, [7:35] let's cut the crap here and have a serious, genuine conversation. You're sounding like a robot. [7:40] Has Donald Trump got some program plugged into you to make you come out with all this stuff? [7:45] I know Donald very well. I know the president very well. I'm sure he won't mind me asking how [7:50] you're feeling, how it went down, all that stuff. You're not going to be betraying his loyalty. [7:56] And when it comes to loyalty, he did fire you after five days. I mean, that is, [8:01] that's what happened. I mean, he did it very nicely, but he made it clear to the world, [8:06] this wasn't going to last much longer after five days. You can couch it however you want, [8:09] but I take issue. I take issue. I take issue with the way you're couching this and I'm not [8:14] going to continue relitigating it. I will not disclose private conversations that I've had with [8:17] him. I do not sound like a robot to, to your point. What I am is trying to continue a conversation [8:24] and a forward trajectory about what president Trump is doing. You see how he's trying not to laugh [8:29] because she does sound like a robot and it is embarrassing. It is painful to listen to. [8:36] I mean, again, I've said it before and again, I know some of my audience don't like to hear it, [8:40] but it's true. Say what you want about Carolyn Levitt. And indeed I did. She was very good at [8:45] her job. She was objectively a talented press secretary and propagandist for the Trump [8:49] administration, by far the best they've ever had, probably the best they could ever hope for. [8:54] And it's good that she's no longer part of the administration because by definition, [8:58] their ability to successfully lie is diminished given that her lying is no longer readily available to [9:04] them. Um, I actually wish they would have stuck with Katie Zachariah because she's so bad at her [9:08] job. I think it would have helped further weaken the Trump regime, but they were smart enough to [9:12] realize, Oh shit, she's got to go. She does sound like a robot. And it's not just from behind the [9:17] lectern at the, uh, the podium at the press briefing at the, inside the, uh, the white house. She can't [9:23] even do this interview with peers. [9:27] Hired by him on the celebrity apprentice. The only difference is I never got fired by him. [9:31] In fact, technically I'm still his celebrity, still his celebrity apprentice 20 years later. [9:36] I don't know what it's like to be fired by him. [9:41] The president has been very good to me and I am grateful for serving him. [9:46] And I don't have anything negative to say. And I will continue fighting for him in the media, [9:50] Pierce, despite the bait, despite the attempt to get me to do it. I'm not going to do it. I haven't [9:55] done it to this point and I'm not going to now. The focus should be on president Trump, not on me. [10:02] I haven't asked you to say anything negative about him at all. [10:04] Pierce, you're baiting me and I'm not going to go for it. And I'm not going to speak negatively [10:12] of him. He's been wonderful to me. And I'm grateful for the opportunity to have served him [10:17] in the capacity that I was asked to. [10:22] Katie, look, I'm not baiting you. You've been at the center of a gigantic news story [10:27] because you became the shortest serving press secretary in the history of American White House. [10:33] It made you a global figure. And you agreed to come on this show. I've just checked with my [10:39] producers exactly what you agreed to talk about. It's going to be you and what happened and their [10:44] midterms. We haven't misled you or misled anybody else. I'm not here to trap you. I'm just here to talk [10:49] to somebody who was in the news, who I've never met. I don't know you. And I'm just curious about [10:55] how it all felt. You don't have to leave Donald Trump out of it, if you like. I don't care. [11:00] It was all just what happened to you. When you watch back, for example, [11:03] the clips from your first and only press conference, what do you feel when you watch [11:08] that? Pierce, I am grateful to be here. I am not going to continue litigating this. This is over [11:18] 10 days ago that this happened. We're five days away. It's over 10 days ago, which is twice as [11:24] long as your tenure was. So she's visibly defensive, visibly upset. She's asking her about this. [11:30] Perfectly valid questions. But I loved it. I loved it. I mean, listen, Katie Zachary, [11:35] in addition to being a terrible press secretary, you know, is a conspiracy theorist and a liar, [11:40] a MAGA hack. So just genuinely and generally a terrible person. So I don't have much by way [11:44] of empathy for her, but this was pretty brutal. So it remains to be seen what her career, [11:50] you know, comes of this, you know, what she's going to do in the future. She apparently is trying [11:54] to be an advocate for Donald Trump, but I think wherever she goes, it's just, it backfires every [12:00] time. So to that, I say, Katie, please go appear on more places, go talk to more people, [12:06] make the rounds, because I think every time you appear, you further undermine the legitimacy and [12:10] the credibility of the Trump administration. And they didn't have a surplus of either of those [12:14] things to begin with. So in the meantime, let me know what you think in the comments.
