NY Toy Fair 2014 Coverage - Part 1: Hero Factory and Marvel Superheroes!

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: hello everybody and welcome to ttv's coverage of the new york toy fair if you live in new york and you've actually been to the toy fair you don't need to be here but we appreciate it either way yeah so i made a video earlier today about the pictures letting people know that they are in fact out and i told everyone that we would be doing a coverage later on this is that coverage and what this is basically going to entail is probably around an hour or 30 minutes of us ranting about sets and giving our opinions and talking about stuff and if that doesn't interest you feel free to leave if it does buckle in for a crazy ride and if you just [00:00:49] Speaker 2: you might be here a while and if you just so happen to be a commenter by the name of kopiki six seven five six four nine you're going to be disappointed because everybody else is here and not just meso thank you meso fan number one you're the only one that exists [00:01:09] Speaker 1: no they're meso fans he's just the snobby one well yes so the themes in which we are going to be covering well first of all let's say our names give everybody a clue of who's here my name is mesenach my name is lj i'm tahi my name is celebraindictus i'm vipa yes and var may join at some point during this or he may not we'll see what happens not likely not likely but he was already on new burn so he's he's got he doesn't go that far yeah he doesn't go that far because he's our ass we set the bar a little too high anyway so the themes that we are going to be talking about today are as follows because not everybody's interested in everything we're going to be discussing hero factory ninjago legends of chima superheroes ultra agents and mixel those are the top movie discussion and yeah maybe ruby mention later on but that's not lego so okay but first of all we'll start off with what most people are probably interested in even though to be honest this year is a bit different than most years for reasons we'll get to hero factory so this is wave two of the invasion from below theme that started earlier this year or i guess right now because the sets are finally being made available in the us just yesterday i procured splitter beast inferno jet machine and i'm loving them but this probably marks the first year ever where toy fair rolls around and the sets from the entire year aren't actually fully out yet so people can look at the entire wave of sets and actually plan their purchases efficiently which is interesting it's kind of an upside to the whole delay but i still wish they'd released them at christmas for those that watch the tv special you will know that wave two consists of kind of a subterranean underground-esque thing where they fight these weird beasts that are different normal and they have these strange machines that are supposedly able to help them move around better but really they look clunkier than the machines from the first wave they just ditch them [00:03:39] Speaker 3: immediately yeah it's funny they entire movie is like man these are really useless to begin with [00:03:46] Speaker 1: yeah it's funny they the first wave gets destroyed very easily the only one that's left standing is evo xl machine and i guess they just scrap it for parts uh all the others are already destroyed before they go into the cave and then they just build these contraptions which are not in fact humanoids they are walkers with the exception of one and we will start off first with that one rock a crawler that's right it's not rock a crawler machine it's rock a crawler which i find funny the rock a crawler everybody and this set is pretty small it's a question of why does this thing exist because it's another rock a set but it doesn't exactly look bad it's growing on me as time goes on and it comes with one jumper and this new cocoon which is made of a questionable amount of pieces which nobody really knows i said two some people said three then apparently it's four and i can see the third i think it's [00:04:50] Speaker 3: three really i think two pedals behind but yeah but then you have to ask how do they attach there has to be a base of some oh i guess you're right i guess yeah there's a base or so does anybody have [00:05:02] Speaker 1: any comments about this set like kahi mange viper you actually were not there for our nuremberg toy fair coverage yeah so yeah what are you well i guess but you didn't really comment on hf [00:05:17] Speaker 4: no i had to be quiet [00:05:20] Speaker 3: look why oh why like yeah you had it right there in front of me the rock a climber right it's just right there you know it's like all right i'm waiting to happen okay yeah and he [00:05:38] Speaker 1: doesn't crawl he literally climbs the rocks with his chainsaw hands in the special exactly they call it [00:05:44] Speaker 4: the crawlers yeah he climbed the crawler machine anyway unless you're going into a small space why would you need a crawling machine yep you want to be big and imposing rocks with chainsaws or like yeah how do you [00:06:05] Speaker 5: climb rocks with chainsaws still confuses me after such application cut into the rock and was using it to move upwards [00:06:18] Speaker 3: no i get what he's saying like if it keeps jagging around either the blades would snap off when hitting the rock or they would just start to saw the rock in half it's a very good question to be the set the set looks interesting enough i might see the reason i want to get this because i love the rock and the figure and i was going to get that big set that cost like 20 some dollars 50 it's 15. yeah see oh that's 15. no the big exit the the okay the rock a machine is 15 this crawler is 10. yeah so i'm still up in the air um i liked rocket's expression on his minifigure so i might get this one just for the weird plant pieces or get the actual mech i don't know yeah [00:07:04] Speaker 1: lj you should get this then you can have the rock a minifig your helmet for your your minifig hero [00:07:09] Speaker 4: mock because i think i'll pass am i the only one who thinks the color scheme is a bit weird [00:07:17] Speaker 1: what's wrong with it besides from the lime green chair yeah i was gonna say the lime green chair yeah it's the the chairs and the entire theme are weird they're only an orange lime but other than that it looks i i rock his color scheme has always been [00:07:36] Speaker 3: gold black and like lime green so i'll cut it a little slack because it's consistent you know yeah [00:07:45] Speaker 5: all right does anybody have any the arm pieces look a little weird though yeah a little look like they're light gray oh yeah they are the top half the top half isn't nearly as dark as those legs [00:07:59] Speaker 1: yeah you're right them and their stupid gray bones although what do you think of this set do you think it's okay [00:08:10] Speaker 2: well the the rock a climber for being ten dollars i think it more falls into the pseudo poly bag area to be perfectly honest but for a ten dollar hero factory set you get a healthy amount of parts you get some good armor pieces which i like you get those feet which is confusing as to why it's [00:08:33] Speaker 1: those feet considering those are the monster feet you're right that is a bit strange i guess because [00:08:39] Speaker 2: the normal clown shoes would look too big on him yeah hey kids rock is here to the parley anyway but it looks it has a cohesive color scheme except for the gray which is obnoxious and that that stare that stare though that creepy rock a minifigure stare he looks like he's squinting at you constantly like he's trying to figure out your next move but no it looks good it's just a little small and those arms are really dorky looking they are pretty dorky looking well [00:09:18] Speaker 5: in that case let's move on wait wait i did i didn't state my opinion on it i think i thought it looked actually like uh it looks pretty good in my opinion in comparison to some of the others coming up but uh yeah i do have an issue with those legs they look so stubby so the the bottom piece of the piece of the legs like look so wide for some reason i can understand that kind of odd [00:09:48] Speaker 1: i i think it better had they reversed the armor shape i don't know maybe they were trying to keep it consistent with the way the arms are done but they do look stubby yeah all right well i had to say on the other end of the ten dollar spectrum this wave has two ten dollar sets and the rock a crawler is like okay you know you get the hero mech a jumper and a cocoon so it's pretty much the entirety of the wave summed up right there in a nice ten dollar set that it looks okay nothing revolutionary then the next set tunneler beast versus surge all that is kind of where stuff changes a bit because this set comes with the surge minifigure which there's a lot of controversy over but we'll get to that in a second and tunneler beast which for all intents and purposes he may have some of the less interesting parts it's a lot of black and whatnot but comes with the red joints on the red beast head and it's a unique build this set is like the thorn racks of this wave where it's crazy stuff it's not a humanoid and i think you know was pulled off very nicely in my opinion is it how much is it ten dollars [00:11:14] Speaker 3: ah it has more parts than the rock a crawler i know but the rock crawler looks more like toy functional this looks like a seven dollar set really you have a minifigure and you have a monster and [00:11:29] Speaker 5: the monster is a great build but it's just it doesn't look like it's worth ten exactly i don't know i think it's worth ten is it using that new pedal piece or for that cocoon stuff on its back yeah it seems a bit different just a little i don't know why it's blue [00:11:52] Speaker 1: but hey now there's a lot of controversy over the surge minifigure because people say he looks just like rocka and to a degree i can see where they're coming from because the head shape is literally identical to rocka and surge his one defining trait has always been like his electricity spikes on the back of his head and those are not here from what i can see but i think the face which you can't really see in the picture i have right here but it's it's pretty different from rocka's enough to warrant the minifigure but i don't know why they made his head shape like that [00:12:32] Speaker 2: yeah it's kind of funny there there was a short debate in the comments of the previous video we posted finalized summer 2014 hero factory cgi images exclamation mark and it ended with one of the commenters posting you know if you think he looks like rocka you need to see a doctor well dr aldos lj witch here to clarify that no it does not look like rocka it looks like a really rocka ish surge yeah pretty much blue rock yeah so it i mean it's it's not wrong to think that but it certainly isn't right to believe that [00:13:20] Speaker 1: yeah it's a bit of a weird issue yeah but the set itself it looks okay i'm a fan of it no matter if it looks in stature like a ten dollar set because you have to reward them for trying different stuff they could have made this dude a humanoid and given him those claw hands and it probably they could have used less parts on them but they did not and they tried to do a custom torso and i think it looks pretty good yeah price is another matter but the actual set it looks pretty good as well it's fine what do you think mange [00:13:58] Speaker 5: i think it looks definitely interesting especially with that you can't really see the torso but to fit all those joints for like different limbs all right there in like one little area seems interesting to me not sure about the hands though the hands look okay yeah those hands that's that's the one big thing [00:14:17] Speaker 1: i want to mention before we move on all the beasts for this year not this year this wave have these weird hands and they use the new piece that rock and stealth machine used to do the claw where it was that piece on both sides of the hand except all these beasts only use it on one side of the hand and they have these lime green fingers that look very strange and this dude kind of pulls it off okay because that claw on the other side gives more of the semblance of a full three-fingered hand but when we get to crystal beast that's really where it starts to fall apart a little bit but with that being said let's move on and i must announce during this transition that viper is no longer with us she has been called away unexplained raisin [00:15:18] Speaker 3: she died she died yeah she's dead ripping she saw those hands and she was like that's absolutely that's so terrible and she just kneeled right over very tragic wow never show uh surge's hands to a britain that's why the london toy fair to a british yeah never show them to a british the london toy fair had to be like the saddest thing ever i can't imagine how many people died [00:15:47] Speaker 2: yeah look at it yeah showing them all those brittionians [00:15:55] Speaker 1: yes somebody left next set bulk drill machine and this one is very impressive to me because in the tv show it actually didn't interest me much but actually seeing the set and seeing what they did it's nothing revolutionary you know the actual bone structure is pretty simplistic but that drill they have up there the way it connects which you can't really see in this picture i have because it's from a front view it's very nice and the drill is able to spin around and there's like a drill on one end then a cannon on the other and it can shoot stuff and yeah i'm i like it i like it a lot comes with one jumper and then a cocoon what do you think guys do you think it's of good quality [00:16:46] Speaker 5: i like the seat and i like the drill part and how it attaches to the body but i guess it might not be it might be because i can't see the hind legs but from the front view the legs look pretty awful i think that since you can see the uh hind legs and the uh packaging right next to it it doesn't it's not going to look as bad as i think it does just from that front view yeah the legs are a bit [00:17:12] Speaker 1: interesting because they're using just the armor as the feet they don't actually have feet pieces [00:17:19] Speaker 5: so there's that yeah i think that's going to be a bigger a bigger drawback for someone's [00:17:26] Speaker 1: that are coming up next oh yeah but for now ljcal hey what do you think [00:17:38] Speaker 2: honestly it it seems to combine all the the good things about bulk without any of the bad things like it has a very consistent color scheme it has the giant drill it looks it reminds me a lot of the ferno jet machine not how it looks but in its its function and the function of it's all the good little of the bad yeah from all the ferno iterations and you know you got bulk there however i do agree with envy the legs do look a little bit weird looking but it might just because of this view it looks very difficult to pose i don't know where the center of weight is gonna be that's a very good point [00:18:21] Speaker 1: because actually having the seats in hand they're pretty heavy yeah not to mention [00:18:28] Speaker 2: the like the flick fire missiles on the side of that drill look really weird looking i would have rather they had been lower away from the drill agreed so but i mean it looks good it gets the point across which i like and then cocoon spider thingy ah yes the cocoon spider thingy [00:18:47] Speaker 1: kai what do you think do you think it looks good bad uninteresting [00:18:59] Speaker 3: kai okay i was waiting for all day to finish yeah um i think i'm lagging a bit behind it looks it's an interesting build uh i like they're doing something kind of newish you know uh you know the drill part seems to be quite quite the draw i can't really say i would i would go and buy this one myself but i can see the merits of uh i'd like somebody wanting this kind of this yeah i don't know i guess like the the walker i think that really gets me to the minifigure i feel it was just too close to the ground i wish [00:19:38] Speaker 1: that's also very true i think that may be an issue of post more so than anything because here's the thing with the chairs they attach by one socket point just one it's not like there's two that will lock them in place so because he's hanging on the front of the thing by that one socket that means the seat is fully articulatable and it can swivel all around and i think they just may have posed it a little too low to the ground [00:20:09] Speaker 3: all right [00:20:11] Speaker 1: but with that being said let's move on to the next one and one that has gotten a lot of controversy but people unanimously find that a pretty good set crystal beast versus bulk dun dun dun so the deal with this guy is that people saw the pictures people saw him in the special and they said wow lego has finally stepped up to the plate and after thorn racks a year and a half ago azure has been back this entire year as a color it's everywhere and in this crystal beast set we are finally going to get a piece of armor or two for him in azure and well yeah it's not azure now the flip side of that is that crystal beast is actually a very good parts pack if it weren't for the fact that the light blue color of armor has already existed because of stormer and frost beast and then the claws also were in frost beast the only things new here are the heads and bones and the spikes those green spikes and i guess it's important to note that the light blue pieces are in good quantity here but they're not new so really this guy is just a parts pack for convenience's sake and the part i'd really like to draw attention to with this guy because otherwise he's pretty bland is those hands because those hands are a worse version of the hands from tunneler beast because as you can see they just have those green spikes on the other side of the hands and i think it looks incredibly dumb [00:22:16] Speaker 3: i don't know about you guys how is he grabbing that spear he has no thumb [00:22:26] Speaker 1: well to be fair a lot of sets for no time for a time there didn't have thumbs it's only this year they're actually trying to give them thumbs the beasts but yeah i hear what you're saying it's it's very strange otherwise you know it's just a normal set bulk looks pretty good from what i can see and of note the minifigures this year have that new gun from the star wars theme that can actually launch those studs out of it so that's right projectiles are back in minifig scale [00:23:07] Speaker 5: anybody else i have no words anything at all well not sure about the head it seems so largely disproportional to the rest of the body though i guess that's that might be something that's been common for this yeah it is here but this dude has an obnoxiously long neck [00:23:29] Speaker 1: so that may be contributing what do you think lj [00:23:37] Speaker 2: honestly i like the look of this set i really do i feel kind of robbed because we were semi-promised as you but i really like it because the transparent parts are good no lime green quasi spikes i'm sure could come in handy for somebody so it looks like a very solid set that i agree with the thumbs those are not thumbs but i do like how it looks it looks cool [00:24:06] Speaker 1: the only complaint is that it's so interesting and fairly generic but i do like how the set looks overall and definitely parts pack wise you can't beat it [00:24:20] Speaker 3: yeah i like a i like the trans like a trans blue arm i wish that it was uh one of those uh look at like a clip on kind instead of like actually being the actual attachment because uh uh i had long wanted to make uh a kahima they had like holographic armor but you know i would have to replace my joints with that uh not that piece instead of like having like a punishment onto it to hook the armor on there really yeah maybe maybe maybe i mean like can you you couldn't you couldn't layer the armor but i couldn't have a white a white piece and then like [00:24:58] Speaker 2: attach something onto there right actually you probably kind of could maybe really it all depends [00:25:05] Speaker 1: on how complex yeah and we can talk about that yeah all right let's move well i'll make it super complex noted to get that illusion let us move on to the breeze flea machine the controversially named thing why is it a flea machine does anyone have any clue still nobody okay the gimmick for this set is that it has a claw that it can launch and it's on a string and it supposedly can be reeled back in with a function on the set once you actually launch it because it's flick fire and other than that it's a fairly complex looking try walker with some interesting pieces and breeze who is not all that common in sets and apparently that claw can grab the cocoon which is neat i know lj over here wants to set for the pieces because of those lime green things [00:26:12] Speaker 2: am i right jay yeah i know it looks like a nice looks like a nice parts pack those those shoulder pieces are kind of appealing to me because i can put that on my self-mark or at least attempt to but and i like that hook function and i was like things that grab other things wow okay not really but it looks like a cool function so but yeah it looks like a cool try walker a little bit flimsy and the torso looks a little bit convoluted and it's a little bit weird seeing that iron man firing transparent piece there for no apparent reason aside from the fact that the same color the visor and a cockpit glass which you also have why is why is that yeah good point [00:27:02] Speaker 1: kai what do you think [00:27:08] Speaker 3: it just was you know parts packed really uh can't really say i'd buy it but it i can see why other people would mange what do you think [00:27:20] Speaker 5: i think it looks a bit weird the feet for sure look a bit strange the way that it uses the uh it's not a cloppy so i know what piece it is but whatever piece they use yeah to stand it up i think the armor placement is a bit odd like the upper legs i thought that the the giant armor piece was kind of seemed out of place i mean but yeah i don't have a suggestion how to fix it but the hook function and the sort of engine not engine but like you know the the way it's designed in the back of the machine is very intriguing a lot different from the other sets in terms of design yeah that's very true but [00:28:12] Speaker 1: it does look a bit i don't know what the word is aesthetically jarring the transition between the legs to the body i can't put my finger on it but something's weird there's no like uh there's no [00:28:27] Speaker 5: green in that area in in the center at all so that kind of seems odd yeah they just have a dark gray armor piece around the hook system the whatever it is that's supposed to reel the hook back [00:28:44] Speaker 1: very true all right with that being said let us move on to the next set we have two more to go through and then we shall move on to the next theme this is serge and rocka's combat machine and out of the entire wave this is probably the one that's the most polarizing because we've yet to actually see this thing posed well in any picture it's been in except for cgi this toy fair is no exception they have the triple legs standing completely upwards with no bending at all they have the armor oriented the wrong way but you can still kind of see how it's gonna look and of course it has the walker on the bottom with surge and then the detachable plane with a rocka and you know it's 25 comes with two jumpers and one cocoon what do you guys think do you think it's a good set or a not so good set [00:29:52] Speaker 2: it looks like a good set kind of sort of um i think we do need to see better photos those feet and legs are really weird though yeah i'm not the biggest fan i am interested to see how the double function works like how it clips on and disconnects and whatnot the wings being backward is also really odd yeah yay my half full pieces but no no they're weird being backwards [00:30:21] Speaker 1: maybe that's why rocka's piloting was so bad and he crashed in the movie when the queen beast did him more than likely [00:30:36] Speaker 2: yeah overall it looks interesting i need to see more of it better angles but it looks kind of like an an at at walker reject yeah [00:30:50] Speaker 1: man what do you think [00:30:54] Speaker 5: i think the set looks pretty cool i don't mind the front legs as much as i do the back legs the back legs look so puny they really do they're just little support legs for some reason the plane piece though i think attached to the thing attached to the main walker seems fine but detached from it it looks like it'd be really odd and those wings it is for sure are probably the the weirdest part about it [00:31:23] Speaker 1: yeah kahi what do you think [00:31:29] Speaker 3: i i think lg and nbm covered most of what i was going to say [00:31:34] Speaker 1: okay uh which is going to okay set yeah well then in that case the final set for hero factory is of course the queen beast versus ferno stormer and evo and we have the queen beast who's the giant four-legged queen she has the pod on her back cocoon to like put stormer in she's grabbing him in one hand and then she has this huge staff which can grab ferno there is a jumper there is a cocoon evo has this vehicle on the side that's like evo's spider walker i think it's called and honestly out of all the sets this is probably the most jam-packed full of stuff you get a hero vehicle a beast three minifigures a jumper and a cocoon now the flip side is that this is the most jam-packed it's also the most expensive 35 so obviously the price is going to be a little high for some i think it's reasonable considering all the stuff that's added i think it's a better deal than jet rocker who was also 35 but what do you guys think about this set [00:33:00] Speaker 2: to be honest i it does not look like a 35 set at best it looks like a 30 to 25 set at least to me but that may be because the focus is primarily on the queen beast and that weird little spider walker thing looks really shoehorned [00:33:21] Speaker 1: yeah yeah i kind of wish i cut that out and then they could have made the queen beats better and maybe [00:33:26] Speaker 2: shaved off five dollars yeah exactly minifigures are minifigures the queen beast looks really cool i like how they use those parts for the crown that is really cool other than that you're not gonna get a lot new from this set that you haven't already gotten from others [00:33:47] Speaker 1: there's just the flip side of that is if you buy this set you get a ton that you wouldn't get from others so i guess also she's the only one that has proper hands because her thumb is also articulatable because it's not an exo force arm [00:34:05] Speaker 2: oh yeah wait the thumb is on an exo force arm um i may be wrong about that but oh no yeah i am it's [00:34:16] Speaker 1: on one of those it's not articulatable it's just extended it's on one of those what do you call them [00:34:22] Speaker 2: those those technic things yeah and i know what you're talking about i can yeah [00:34:27] Speaker 1: rose so it's able more to save you myself yeah thank you the comments would have been flooded with [00:34:32] Speaker 2: people saying no you're wrong oh yeah but yeah not just it looks cool but i don't personally feel it's a 35 dollar set and that that evo spider walker is the most uninteresting thing i've seen as of far it's better than evo walker it yeah but it's just still really uninteresting and i wish they had not included it in the set yeah overall it looks interesting i'm sure for some people will be really great purchase i don't personally see myself buying it but glad they have it mange what do you think [00:35:14] Speaker 5: the queen beast looks like a decent set the uh spider crawler on the other hand does not and coupled i didn't think they equated to 35 and uh you if you remove the evo walker i think it maybe would be worth 20 25 at best i'd probably say 25 for the whole thing overall though including the spider walker that would be my personal opinion on the price because it just doesn't look like it a [00:35:44] Speaker 1: price to part ratio it's definitely in the 2025 range based on all the other sets just the inclusion of minifigures this year has thrown off the price scaling that we've had prior yeah because it looks [00:36:01] Speaker 5: i don't know it looks a bit lackluster to like the other thirty dollar sets that they've had in the past very true which doctor and the bike and all the other giant sets that they've had in the past it just doesn't look like really makes the cut in terms of price especially or at least delivering satisfaction very true that kai what do you think of the finale set [00:36:32] Speaker 3: i would not pay 35 dollars for this i would but kai 35 is just way too much the part ratio is too too low the set itself isn't all entirely too interesting the uh i mean like you know the minifigures it is a good amount of them and i i do like minifigures but i just don't honestly i'm not interested in a lot of these uh kind of animal build sets uh all too much uh you know some of them aren't done well but this for the for the price doesn't really entice me and uh this set is probably for people that [00:37:13] Speaker 1: this set's probably for people that don't want to buy the entire wave and are going to get this set because it has a lot of stuff in it that you can get other places and that'll be their reasoning otherwise i don't see many people you know getting or enjoying this although i'm sure the build is good but yeah on that note that is hero factory invasion from below wave two overall there are many flaws to it we've just covered them some sets look weird here there some sets are overpriced but all in all as a wave i would call it a success they have introduced minifigures so well it almost seems seamless the transition and set designs are very imaginative except for one or two generic ones here or there and i think that it is an improvement over brain attack from last year tenfold in my opinion so okay yeah with that being said let us move on into another theme and because kahi is on a limited time frame here we will talk about lego super heroes mainly marvel because that's the summer stuff [00:38:37] Speaker 3: yeah exactly like i'm looking all this stuff for uh for dc and surprise surprise it's batman yep i love i love batman but you know it's like uh i don't want these many sets of batman yeah flash is like the greatest thing about this wave all right meanwhile marvel for the winter wave [00:39:01] Speaker 1: has stuff like captain america and the modok taskmaster falcons oh yeah [00:39:09] Speaker 3: but this when they announced modok i was so excited because a modok minifigure has to be like one of the greatest things you know yes as a minifig collector it's something that you know [00:39:26] Speaker 1: here's a bit of a primer for the superheroes discussion the guardians of the galaxy sets there are going to be three of them the milano spaceship whatever was posted a couple days ago we'll talk about that um but that has its own article there are hd pictures of that then there is one other which you can see in the background of one of these pictures the captain america set but we don't actually have a picture of it and then the third's a mystery so kahi yeah take it away what do you think of these sets [00:40:07] Speaker 3: okay so uh i'm gonna grab all your i'm looking for like to try to get all the images that i want to kind of reference i'm just can we start with the captain america set because why not yeah you know what let's just talk about it so captain america has had a long interesting kind of history uh for ease of access okay sure uh let me see if i can find because i don't have these all loaded all right we'll start with this one all right so he's going against the uh the hydra this hydra tank combination tank uh and i really don't know what else to describe the jeep i guess because like a large part of it's in the cover they have this he's in this classic captain america costume you know real comic book stuff uh motorcycle uh classic red skull classic hydra agent looks do you know how much this is 1999 i i can i can see that it's 1999-esque kind of set yeah yeah very true like i i don't know i don't know if i'd buy it but uh it's you know it's it's a good good decent uh pricing not unfair like some of the others uh anyone else have something to say [00:41:33] Speaker 1: say about this alder what do you think about captain america age of ultron a lot so you know there's always this there's a great undertone of shield actually being evil and yeah i'm looking forward to seeing that be put in the [00:42:16] Speaker 1: big screen as far as the marvel scene goes i'm not the biggest captain america fan there are just things that grab my attention more this is not one of the sets that grab my attention more i hear you so it looks good looks solid the minifigures are weird probably because i don't have a proper knowledge of them they are pretty much it i like that has a suspension so it looks like a cool set mange yes no maybe hair pieces for magneto and wolverine uh combined so not well not combined but i kind of put it together so that's really nice uh it also has like this great thing like levitation thing going on sentinels are going around and uh doing their thing storms has the lightning that came from like star wars i believe i believe the emperor had those yeah some point uh the build for a sentinel looks kind of interesting not too sure what to think of it i don't think it has any thumbs either it has three opposed is it three fingers yeah three fingers i guess that's that's you know that's interesting enough but uh it has like that mixed little connection i believe built into it and you know of course the classic sentinel head i i do like to take it on a good classic uh x-men designs i would like to see storm from mohawk not really showing itself here but you know classic magneto with the helmet uh a little different than the one that came with the wolverine deadpool set i believe very true so you know they've just i think this is a bit more of a uh more classic birdie than the one that came with that was more like the 1990s menu onwards so there's there's also the blackbird uh 22 you see wolverine and cyclops uh i'm not really too sure which version of the blackbird this is but you know it seems to be a decently built set uh cyclops is of course highlighting wolverine is now in his uh he is in his uh kind of post x factor kind of you know brown brown yellow logan sleeveless costume and uh what's it the deadpool one he had his classic you know blue and red or blue and yellow costume with uh without any mask but i guess he decided to switch that out here it's the black mask not the blue one for people who are hooked for the blue one uh but it shows the costume quite well quite i think it looks very i wouldn't buy it but i [00:47:27] Speaker 1: i could understand why it's good it has a lot of neat uh stuff in contained within good minifigures the builds for both the sentinel was a little bit polarizing between people but i like how it turned out in the end yeah all jim mange do you think this set looks good yes no maybe so [00:47:48] Speaker 2: i i think it looks good yeah yeah i agree with envy envy do you want to give a little bit more in depth in depth um do you guys know what the price is going to be on this that's a very no idea i don't [00:48:02] piece uh sort of deal like sets are made out of regular bricks usually tend to be way high in price uh but i'd like the look of the sentinel quite a bit i think it was a good depiction of it when it comes to making it in lego yeah um wolverine's claws are certainly interesting it's a clever use of uh using it as like a hand weapon just putting it in the hand slot to make it give it the illusion that it's over his hand i thought those interesting yeah and overall i definitely like just the look of the set overall if i had money to shell out i i might i would consider buying it [00:49:15] Speaker 3: fun fact the prototype of wolverine once had like instead of having you know the claws sticking outwards he he helped the claws that were attached to the minifigure like kind of like a fan you know like imagine like a chinese fan yeah and like they went outwards like that and it was honestly really terrible so i'm glad that they were able to kind of make a new design and uh you know this thing seems [00:49:37] Speaker 2: much more wolverine-esque now dude you already coming no no just no it's just looks really cool i'm not a really big x-men fan i did watch the cartoon i really really like wolverine i think he's a cool character however i'm not big in the x-men however this this looks fantastic so [00:50:01] Speaker 1: i know pretty much nothing about it but i could say the galaxy and the first set is the milano spaceship rescue and then the second set is i can't really read it nowhere escape mission [00:50:50] Speaker 5: really now looks like no hair no hair yeah no it looks like nowhere but with like a k in front of you [00:50:59] Speaker 1: know nowhere oh yeah you're right nowhere escape how odd just and you can see it's rocket raccoon and groot fighting people of questionable origin there's a blue guy with swords that's probably ronin the accuser i think his name is with the hood who's the main villain of the movie Groot is huge in brick built rock raccoons on the speeder bike this looks very strange but strangely appealing i'm trying to strain to read what the price is though because it looks fairly small and i have a feeling Groot is gonna jack up the price darn it you stupid tree ant he is Groot lj he is Groot yeah though it has more pieces than the uh x-men set oh no then yeah it'll be like 50 or so yeah especially being guardians of [00:52:03] Speaker 2: galaxy finally lego you get the license for a movie that's coming out soon i know it's amazing of all the [00:52:09] Speaker 1: movies guardians of the galaxy maybe lego will help make it mission is a yes no or maybe so it's not a purchase for me but it certainly has some enticing box art yeah and the uh looking at the well actually in retrospect very quick retrospect the actual set doesn't look as appealing as the box art you know you're right but it definitely looks well [00:52:50] Speaker 1: designed smaller oh wait a second the tower can extend i think that's somewhat neat [00:52:58] Speaker 5: or maybe yeah the same thing the set looks well done but the box art looked a lot more enticing than [00:53:04] Speaker 1: the actual set agreed it looks very small the actual set but rocket raccoon speeder bike groot can't go wrong and then aries is intergalactic eagle i mean uh the milano spaceship rescue looks quite neat but very eagle like i don't really understand what's going on with that probably make more sense to me if i knew anything about guardians of the galaxy and from what i'm understanding it has gamora star lord ronan the accuser yeah accuser and someone else whose name i forget when i read description of this but looks okay i wouldn't get it but as far as sets go it's a very nice spaceship that looks straight out of chima what do you two
