My wife took over my Vintage Toy Hunt at Stafford Toy Fair - October 2026

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: hi welcome to taff's toys today for a sunny stafford toy fair with the family jack what are you looking for today taff what are you looking for today uh muppets simpsons [00:00:15] Speaker 2: uh all that what are you doing i'm looking i'm looking for kate she's trying to get me out of a job she's trying to get me out of a job this is taff's channel not rach's channel but anyway we've got the wife and kid here today let's get in there and see what's what's going on here we go nice early entry sorted for the toys and models fair yeah i think we're gonna start up the back for once and go into the second room because uh it's looking busy today though nice and busy keep seeing primeval figures lately and it's not something i ever watched but what's pink scooby-doo what's that about so it appears that jack has got his aim straight away and he is currently going through a big thing of pokemon oh wow i've never seen these hunchback toys these are cool look at look at that god get the glare out look with it uh droids versus dinosaurs and he's got his toxic crusaders there but i'm looking at these turtles at the moment and i think carded turtles is going to be a thing at some point but my wife is really into hockey so do you think i could tempt her rage yeah how about uh leonardo playing hockey nice yeah absolutely what do you think see i kind of paused on the lord of the rings a little bit because it got a bit intense but another disney one i like these warly they're cool i've never really seen these before yeah see i think this is the same thing toy that i bought at the last toy show and we got a bit of spice bills here but look look at this planet terror it's quentin tarantino it's a cool figure look we're on there that geeky place stall but i really like this i've just seen these came out and they go with like the turtle masks but i surely that look cool above the donna's hello stand i really like that krang as well and then the the mutagen tour that's such a cool set i don't know jack's going mad for the jaws set though look this is annoying i i really hate that they've made this and i'm gonna have to buy it at some point so do i have to buy it now because this it's from the film where he's like painted blue and he's depressed but why has he just got a happy face and why is there no new accessories it's annoying always nice to have a look at 90s geezer stand always loads of cool stuff on display but i'm again drawn to the billy and bart gun which i know i still need which is pain in the backside they're the expensive ones and jack is looking at some uh beetlejuice monsters i think he's got expensive taste though yeah so this is i believe adventures in print and they do really cool like 3d stands but they also do these massive transformers they've got all these like different display things and then you've even got like stuff like the dinosaur heads here just such cool stuff that you can do with 3d printing these days but we're here with kev at manic miners and jack is doing a deal for some pokemon cards he's hustling he's he's he's getting deals he's getting freebies he's doing all right we're really having a random disney characters day today because we've got although now i'm thinking that's pixar isn't it not disney but they're disney now so cool stand though see i never really did these like ljn figures but that mr fuji that's really cool i do look i do always love kongman whenever i see it look with it uh plastic crack collectibles and there's some cool she-ra thing i've had a couple of people asking me about she-ra lately we've got some nice stuff here but i'm more interested in the charlie's angels to be honest these uh mail away um gladiators figures are really cool i couldn't think of the word for gladiators then but i also really like this muppets board game up here that's great jack is impressed by the supernaturals and the the hologram on there look how cool that is jack he's jack they used to have creatures in them and they would come from their chest and they would turn into the creatures so what one has that got in you don't know no neither can i i really like the the spider-man with the multi-arms i'm thinking they're doing a spider-man shelf at some point but also you never see these in box these are the real monsters but these are like the the classmates they're really cool they do weird stuff as well so this one has stuff pop out of his mouth and this one you can have water spray out of him look at these cables these are awesome i love these from back in the day look see i love seeing stuff like this but i'm intrigued as to the the raggy dolls back here oh it's a face paint and chalk look at that really cool though cheers mate thank you i really like looking at the stuff at this toy store but here's the thing see now i actually have been buying the lost figures so i think i do i need that see this crocodile is really cool but do i need a mr burns webcam for my next stream see we've got mel's collectibles here this flintons i really like but what i've spotted that i really really like is simon the sorcerer 2 which is one of my favorite games of all time and i'm going to be playing playing some uh point and click games over on my twitch twitch.tv forward slash bigtafman go check it out really like all this uh star trek stuff but it's like i'm not a star trek guy so but i do like the batman and robin vehicle up there we've got some batman animated series but a car from the bill and a car from crime stoppers what's that all about jackie's looking at pokemon cards again he's uh pokemon addicted this kid at the moment it feels like it's a real disney pixar day with all these random bits i mean look at this as well i don't know what these are they've got like the lyrics to the song on their bellies same with the lumiere oh my god rach has found something she thinks is cute this uh it's a disney tea set from 1950s it is really nice though i do like this flintstones thing up here as well though this is great god look at these got uh miss piggy but look at pat he looks so weird let's see we got some real nerdy stuff here we've got the terminator thing where you use plasticine to make him have skin we've got a transporter room from star trek we got a super simon and then we've got a shaker maker shaker makers why do they not have shaker makers anymore or do they and i just keep missing them at the shop i am once again telling myself that i am not buying housebows on card but look at this this is weird eyes not seen these before these aliens what is even that jack is again on the pokemon and we're we're finishing that we had all three of these little figures oh we've got some amazing little figures here so cool but jack's on gengar today see we're on raiders of the loft toys here and i obviously that mad ball is amazing but i think the one of the lines i'm on the verge of is the inspector gadget because i think some of the toys is for me it looks so cool and like penny here that's great don't see the muppets often and i've got gonzo unfortunately oh and jack is telling me that that's me so thanks jack i always get excited when i see these smugs but these are these are cool these are the like micro kits that you can swap the players over dimatteo fastino aspira jamie redknapp and mark overmars always got to get a bit of my car donor in if we see him because he's a big inspiration for me but i love these squirt heads we're seeing them all the time lately 30 quid for million dollar man bargain and uh god what's he wearing see interesting fact here this set up here is actually a uh a custom it's got all the baddies from the rocky films but it's actually not not a proper set god it does seem to be disney film day today with that aladdin there i love the fred flinston toy there i obviously bought that collection the other day but how about a bit of this vhs action watch with mother i do like a look of minifigures occasionally and we've got here we've got some great ones look at that taz tweety got wiley coyote road runner they're great rage maybe this would uh this would help you doing your makeup in the [00:09:46] Speaker 1: morning what do you reckon jack years of practice in the 90s clearly did nothing for me that i wasn't [00:09:54] Speaker 2: gonna say it davy here from daily davy on instagram and he spotted the foam finger and he wants the foam finger look he wants the foam finger i love a random film figure and matrix figures look at the chair that looks so cool and then we've got neo as well and we've got niobe cool figures see look these little et figures are really awesome but obviously dark winged duck and then the mask i think the mask is one of the lines where i think i'm gonna i'm gonna creep into it because i just love stuff like this figure with the dog where it comes with the mask separately that you can put on the dog such cool stuff always intrigued as soon as i see a bit of muppet babies but this looks like it might just be the box from a happy meal which it is how random is that it's funny because i never look at like these teddies and stuff but rach and jack have ended up looking at them because uh rach keeps going i think jack's got that one and it's 180 quid so might be selling some teddy bears soon we do love always dipping into a lucy bin i do like a robotic bebop i always think there's such cool turtles characters they're obviously at some point at some point we're gonna get on these but 60 quid for that one it's gonna be an expensive one so i think that's what puts me off even got a bit [00:11:18] Speaker 1: of barnyard commandos here as well so that was stafford toy fair i didn't buy anything didn't get [00:11:26] Speaker 2: any cake but it was a really good day whoa whoa whoa what's happening you did my intro you're not doing my wrap up as well get out of here get out of here god she's not even put the lights on what's going on here hello that was stafford toy fair that was the that was the taff family takeover of the channel not sure that'll be happening again uh well you know it ends up being an expensive day when you take jack out as well because he picked up quite a few sets of pokemon cards from uh manic miners which you know kev always does a good deal on those uh japanese cards and we even pulled out a full art on one of them which was quite cool and then he also picked up a little gengar toy but that was about it from him and i will say the face seemed a bit quieter than maybe it normally is uh it was a bit weird that like there were a few people moved around as well and a few people who were normally a bit of a presence there that weren't there which i think always like changes things a little bit it's always a bit strange as well when you see someone's moved because you get used to where people are i mean one of the reasons we started at the back today uh on this trip was uh i'm used to like quite a few of uh my favorites being back there uh you know the likes of uh kev at manic miners and john at droids um versus dinosaurs but uh yeah um bit of a bit of a different one it was nice to have the family out always nice to to take rachel and cheers for anyone who said nice things about the video you know uh not about the video about the channel in general it's always nice to to hear that i i do say i'm always a little bit socially awkward so you know in in the moment sometimes i'm a bit i'm a bit scared uh i don't know the best way to put it yeah but i always super appreciate the the people come out and they they say nice things about the videos so yeah thank you for that uh we also dipped to monkeys emporium on the saturday um so i was over at monkeys emporium and there's a video for that on the instagram you can see there or you can catch it on the youtube shorts or the tiktok or all that business um but yeah it was a nice little weekend but let's show you what we picked up on uh stafford toy fair so first off you saw in the video well you saw everything in the video what am i saying uh we picked up the donatello weapon uh this is part of the like little donatello range they've also done a mask which i've got just over here a few moments later so there you go we've now got the mask and we've got the booster so halloween in a in a week or two so we're all right we're sorted god i could go as donatello but uh i think we've been we've been like kind of cajoled by jack into doing uh pokemon god that's ruined my hair as well we're gonna cut it all by jack into doing pokemon in fact here's a sneak preview here of me dressed as charizard with our dog ralph attacking me because he didn't like the costume i picked that up from that geeky place and we also picked up god i hate this i hate that i had to buy this this is the blue big bird uh so this is the from follow that bird the movie uh it's big bird in his like kind of depressed state he's been painted blue locked in a prison cell but i hate that it's just a normal big bird face it's just a happy big bird face he's not depressed like in the film it's just big bird and there's no extra accessories compared to the yellow one there's nothing like special or new about it um it's just annoying that they've just started the sesame street necker line and it already feels like this is just a cash grab i mean if they wanted to do an exclusive for comic-con it feels like they could have done something a bit more special than this but maybe it's just me and then we only picked up one other thing and that was uh this this is uh shannon from lost i always feel a bit dodgy buying like things like this you know where it's a bit of a bit of a lady in a bikini um it comes with oh god this side uh the russo's island map um it's got some sound clips in there as well uh i've been slowly picking up these uh not not really desperate for them but it's just a thing i love the show i think i'm doing uh thinking about doing a little rewatch of it i keep opening it up and then going this is a commitment don't watch it yet but i watched that first like minute of of like jack running around the beach and stuff and it's such a great show um but yeah it's firmly on the list to re-watch at some point soon so i'm kind of picking up i think there's only uh so there's six in the first series there's jack kate lock charlie hurley and shannon uh i've got jack and kate so we're just looking for the others there's also a hatch play set and then there's a season two with i think um jinn uh and a load of other characters i know there's a mr echo as well but yeah that was the toy show uh this is a bit more rushed than normal so a bit less professional maybe at the end um because i'm off on all day for a couple of days so uh i needed to get this out because otherwise you'd be waiting like two weeks for a stafford video and you can't have that can't have that nor in this day and age but anyway that was the toy fair it was a fun one i think my next one i wasn't planning on doing sand down and it looks like i might actually be doing sand down now so um plans have changed so i think i'm going to be going down to sand down on november the 14th in the meantime i'm planning a little trip down to wales to do some more of our uk toy shop map videos i will say i have eight ready eight well i say ready they're ready to be edited so we've been going around the uk making a map of the uk toy shops you can find the link for that in my bio um you can tell i've said that a lot uh but we've been going around the shops trying to visit and mainly being shops up in the manchester uh north era era uh area uh because that's easy for me to like say uh take a day um drop the kid off at school and then run out to some toy shops and then get back to pick him up from school so i'm hoping to do some more down south maybe we'll try and visit somewhere we're down for sand down and uh yeah we'll get that sorted but i'm planning a trip down to wales next week and hoping to hit a few uh down in south wales and we'll see uh in the meantime uh i've been tough you've been wonderful how do you do outros again like i i i feel like when i watch spectrum flipper he's always saying that the outros are a nightmare as well but um anyway let's get out of here let's go do something else let's go do some productive why don't why not go and watch spectrum flipper now he's got a cool video of him going to cosmic toys uh which is an amazing little shop it's a shop that when i went in i was blown away by the amount of stuff they were on i think it might be up there with the likes of lester vintage for me now but uh spectrum flippers video is him picking up a load of kong and godzilla stuff you can you can see the the thumbnail there but go over to his channel and watch that after this why not uh in the meantime i've been taff you can find me on instagram at taffs toys or you can find me on all the other social media channels it's all taffs toys everywhere i've plugged my twitch already get out here go watch another video i'll see you on the next toy hunt bye
