Is this the North's best toy fair? Toy Hunting at Doncaster Race Course

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: but that's 50 quigs seems good prices for these i'm surprised they're still sat here the figures look awesome i'd like to just get them off if they did that proper bag i'd buy that right now i mean i bought one at the last toy show i can't buy another surely but here's the thing where are we with outside uh doncaster racecourse do i always start these videos with where are we i mean it's a toy fair uh what are we looking for today uh got some simpsons stuff that we're still looking for x-men movie is a new thing for me um what else a bit of always muppets maybe lord of the rings we kind of have bought some lately but let's get in there let's have a look and let's see what it's like in donny right here's what we're looking at today i think i might go and start the boy i think is the back normally should we go and start the back get a bit of a walk on probably miss out on some stuff but then let's give it a go look i do like a bit of wallace and grommet look at them the big old uh figures there i do like pinhead as well but i quite fancy a bit of this batman that's quite nice i really like these uh bebop and rocksteady but you know i'm always a fan of a crossover love a bit of street fighter turtles i've got these neca nickelodeon cartoon line but a load of foot shoulders just have pad out the army but these look i mean i love these trolls but that's 50 quid seems good prices for these i'm surprised they're still sat here see look it's easy to dismiss the dolls but then you go down here and look at those two bad boys they look amazing mr t especially i really want to meet him i love that they've got the proton pack up there we've also got the incredible hulk but one one range i really like that i don't think went down so well it's these heroes lines and i like with this figure there's actually three versions of it so there's the version there that's fully complete there's a version here that's invisible and then there's also like a half invisible version really cool now i saw these muppets cars at buxton and if you didn't see my video it's not a toy fair i would recommend going to if you're a toy collector but for a cars guy it was really cool i'm tempted by these now that batman and robin look amazing i'm lately i'm liking buying big things to stick on top of a shelf but these batman figures are also great like from the batman and robin film but at some point i think i'm destined to get these spice girls dolls i just love them they look they look great look at that love a bit of a theme and the batman stuff here absolutely banging now i'm definitely never buying carded hasbos but spectrum flipper keeps making me want to get small soldiers toys but then the a team makes sense these look so good on card and i i'm a loose guy so i don't need them but i want them i always feel like i have to say with these shows that there's loads of stuff that obviously i don't feature that is here that maybe people are more interested in but that's the great thing about a toy show is there's something for everyone this is really cool and i don't think i've ever seen this before um but the fantastic four movie range there's one range that i keep looking at and thinking about getting but it actually breaks down into four different vehicles i don't know is it too big to go on a shelf so i really love this store is like a really eclectic mix like i love this sinister six out here but here's the thing and i might have to buy him eight quid i think i think that's our first buy of the day obviously i'm loving the big gremlins here but the dead man ink foam finger i don't know foam fist that's awesome this this is ridiculous as well it actually you slide the switch and you make them wrestle that is weird i should say this is all on box collectibles stand right now always a cracker look at that monsters in my pocket as well oh it's just oh see the gremlins though i mean i've got mainly greta but that's nice see i'm still on box collectibles and pinky and the brain i don't know brain looks a bit weird but then you've also got the the gyrocopter which i think i'm gonna have to get if i start an 18 collection but then also is this like a mexican bootleg mask look how weird that is god see i didn't even notice they've got like they've got my girl but in different outfits oh this is this is just wrong isn't it i mean i bought one at the last toy show i can't buy another surely but the lips though see i think i picked up this exact figure last time at the show but what is going on there i mean we bought a donatello wolf but that's mad see i will say on my video the other day someone said that donnie was uh all trains as well and there's a lot of trains you probably don't see them from my video because i just like i'm looking at the toy stuff but it's a good toy show for a bit of everything now i do like a bit of the uh johnny and crease there from karate kid but what is this that is that is a pretty valid crop bags and as i said i had a crush on her when i was younger regretting saying that now now i got excited for a second seeing the uh simpsons but it's uh it's a radio controlled bar but also this guy i've been collecting these and these are low-key hard to find but i think i've got this one which is annoying we're again finding simpsons this is a big talking crusty doll which i actually bought the other two from this i think there's a bart and a homer uh it doesn't say on the back but yeah do i need it see i love the godzilla figures here but this my son bought this the other day because he said it reminded him of irene from the minions film it was like the new baddie put all the eyes on it such a cool figure i'm so i'm so glad i'm not a power rangers guy though because that's another one that i'd go down a rabbit hole on look this is this is too big this is too in fact look it's as big as me it's as tall as me it's nice though look i've said this before but i think the walking deadline day once that i think i'm gonna get at some point pretty furby in there but it's hard because there's like there's comic ones like these and then there's these ones that are based off the show and so it's kind of getting the balance of which ones do i want to get i think it'd have to be the show i love these uh figure arts figures but you don't see them so much but what a stand this is as well look at all this i mean sometimes i just like looking at stuff even if it's not stuff that i like buying can you believe that this is uh spectrum flippers stand can you believe that this is spectrum flippers stand i i can't i couldn't tell i couldn't tell it's great though i do like this new stephanie mcmahon this is from i think the treacherous trios three pack you go as soon as you see all these you know exactly which stand we're on straight away we're at that geeky place and check out the video on the old instagram and stuff i really want to get these at some point i think i've got the biff but i think these look awesome got some simpsons playmates figures but they're all they're all loose which is not what we want like inboxed i have the most cursed item of the day but we are once again bad don is gonna haunt me until i buy it do love the old crang brain but i can't believe he's trying to sell the burger king already how are you selling that you've only just bought it brought it for the giggles you can't sell it just for the sport of it this is this is why this is why toy sellers make no money because what they do is they go around and they buy stuff from other people's stores they just it just circulates all these toys they just go in different people's shops i'm absolutely always loving these monsters but this gremlin at the end i have to like resist here but then what i really have to resist is look how gorgeous this bag is that is beautiful if they did that proper bag i'd buy that right now and look this is just like this is raiders of the loft toys and there's always great stuff here i got space jam we got that already oh god i really forget the roman rat as well i like clipping stuff onto my mic when i'm streaming see toxic crusade is another line where i'm so close to starting a collection of those but like they look great on the card but then the figures look awesome i'd like to just get them off see i've been all in on the jada toys figures but these street fighter figures are great but i love these storm collectibles like especially like kentaro there we've got notaro like that is gonna look so cool on the shelf i don't think i've ever seen this rocky really figure like the boxing how's that now i'm kind of on my own on this but i love a crossover figure and i love these turtles gray skull i think these are quality so this mechanic there what else we got there's another mechanic we've got rat lord down here another mechanic maybe it's just mechanics here see i do always like seeing a bit of rugrats and we have got some we have got some simpsons here but i think i think some of these are like kind of happy meal toys and stuff but yeah oh there's some cool like loosies here though i'm gonna have to send the kid a picture because there's some sonic here that he might want and then a bit of minecraft and a bit of mario and i'm always under command to bring some stuff home for him why do you never see stuff like this anymore like those sets that you have the you make the the molded figures i miss stuff like that i'd love to do that with my kids these germs are amazing but i really like i really like the rambo gun and i really like how on facebook you have to say pews when you're doing live sales see immediately the kind of nonsense that i see and i immediately have to have a look at oh that's so annoying because it's stupid this pillowcase with bits on it but do i need it look see there's such great stuff but then again donatello just why do i have to keep buying there's a few cracks and stuff but there's going to be on a squishy thing like this but i love it on the back it's got like the disclaimer that says squash me down push me around roll me up throw me against the wall and i will always return to my original shape look we're at mart's retro toys and i finally found some simpsons and i've even found one that i need and and mart said for me he said this is only 40 quid so there you go grab that it's uh it's always tough when a toy person's not on their stand but luckily mart's here hiya mark hiya how are you look at this right batman returns they've got the little jelly beans in there december 1993 best before i reckon that's that's that's got a dare in it some amazing old board games here but look i might have to get that just for the clock look at this for a table of nostalgia which uh which one would you be picking up i mean in in 2026 you probably wouldn't be getting this one i'm really tempted by the uh bill and ted lately i bought some of the more modern ones but there's small soldiers again like it's making me want to get into it look this is what i love on a stand you just got a load of godzilla stuff and then you've got macho king just at the back that's awesome see a random one for you the wall from gladiators i think i actually do need that but i don't want to have the fuss of k in there right now so i think i'm gonna leave it do you know what i mentioned this every time i see these figures so these austin powers figures here like these are great and in fact look right okay oh this is great i can show this properly so this is the scott figure and you'll see this t-shirt's been like kind of blurred out but you'll see here it hasn't so this is actually if i can get it moved here this is actually weirdly a rarer figure because it's not got the t-shirt blurred out so this technically for a tenner i mean maybe i should just buy it for this reason but um yeah often you see the t-shirt is blurred out and on this picture like this figure but for this one you'll see not blurred out maybe i should just get it for that there you go we've got the uh pokemon stand as well and i'm yet again dc my kid loves these so i'm i'm gonna buy mew there you go i think it was this stand last time this started me looking at the simpsons properly because there's so many and these are really good prices for loose but we've ended up buying them all on card so that was doncaster toy fair an absolutely cracking show for me i really enjoyed it i think donnie might be number two on my list um after the nec nothing's going to beat the nec for me but sandown's probably a little bit too far away i have to have a night stay for that whereas donnie's in that about an hour and a half drive away from me uh so it's pretty good for going and and nipping over it does mean that i i struggle to do the early birds because i don't do mornings so i had to queue up with all the the standard people which maybe means that you miss out on a a few bargains in the early part of the show i know by the time i got to spectrum stand it was uh completely different to the posts i'd seen him put on instagram but that's the way the cookie crumbles sometimes i did end up having to nip off a little bit earlier than i would probably want to uh i ended up leaving to take my son swimming and then got a call from my wife saying he'd been called into earlier lessons so i was free so i did end up consulting my uk toy shops map which is the link for that is in my bio we went to doorway of to darkness so expect a video from that in the next few weeks i thought it was more of a video game store but when we got in there there were like absolutely loads of toys in there as well so if you're going to donnie toy fair i do recommend popping into doorway to darkness on the way home as well like i did uh great little shop and uh we pop a video up every friday of a different toy shop that i've been to uh we have done a lot in the north uh because i'm up in the north i know i keep getting messages from people saying come down south come to the south wales come to you know the the east coast guys i live near manchester so we've been doing a lot of the shops up north first because they're easy for me to get to it's been quite nice to like um get up to sort the kid out for school and then go on a little drive pop out to like maybe two or three shops and then come back home and pick him up from school so there's loads of videos in the pipeline they'll be going up in the next few weeks uh i think we've probably got enough to take us through till christmas to be honest at this point so yeah in the meantime i will be trying to get down south or trying to get to some of the further away shops i know i really want to get over to scarborough i really want to get up to the northeast as well there's loads of shops newcastle middlesbrough way that i want to pop and have a look to so we'll get to them if you want to see me go to a particular shop let me know in the comments where you want me to go now we did something a little bit different with this video very much inspired by retro bunga and spectrum flipper who do amazing toy show videos and i'd recommend following those on youtube as well but we kind of like i've always liked with their videos how they put the names of the toy shops and the and their stall sellers on their videos i've tended to stay away from that and it's not because i don't want to like shed a light on these guys uh it's not because i want all the the attention for myself it's because i forget whose stall is whose when i'm like doing my editing and i've always been like don't put one on because if you put one on and then don't put another on people might get mad at you so i'm sorry for anyone who stalls i completely forgot and didn't put your name on i'm just useless at remembering stuff we did try and make sure with and i know with like box collectibles and with mart or with two of my favorite sellers to see it shows that i tried to flash up their logo so that it meant i didn't have to put their names on screen but i'm sorry for anyone whose names i didn't put up i'm just crap at this but i would recommend uh nicky i know at retro bunga has a great past the plate philosophy where he always tries to stick up the names of everyone who he he talks to at shows and uh spectrum is also great for that they've got their their their styles for videos and i would always say it's worth watching a bit of everyone's i i end up watching even at like the nec when i went to the nec i still watch spectrum video and i still watch bunga's video because they everyone's got like a different take and i see things from their videos that um i don't see when i'm at the show which is always weird to think of but yeah it's great as well and they've nikki bunga does a very much more of a vlog style i love the way the spectrum does loads of stuff with um with actually doing a deep dive into some of the toys in his videos and yeah there's lots of other youtubers out there though don't think i'm only recommending them i'm getting in my own head now about oh are you only mentioning two people they're just two people that i wanted to say because they do stick the names of people on screen so yeah go go follow bunga and go follow uh spectrum flipper as well uh god i just feel like i'm digging myself a hole here anyway let's show you what we ended up buying from the show first off from mart's retro toys i ended up doing a bit of a deal no made a joke on video but um mart did me a good price on this barney we've been deep in the simpsons range i think even some of the boxes behind me you can probably see i've got some simpsons figures in there but um this is one of the few that we've got left i'm deep in a hunt for play sets if anyone's got simpsons play sets out there at a good price let me know i'm desperate for them uh we also ended up picking up this is so daft i can't believe i bought this this donatello pillowcase uh now i just thought this was really cool it's gonna go on the donatello shelf a bit grubby on the back i've shown it to the wife and said what can you do to sort this out but uh yeah i just think this is really cool and really daft and very me and i love donnie we ended up picking up from the same stall the squashy collectibles uh so we got the two of those uh we did 50 quid for the two of those which i think was a great little price for those two and then finally when you go to toy shows you sometimes end up buying things that are a bit daft and here's the thing i love that joke and i am gonna make that joke every time we see a thing figure um this is from uh the fantastic four movie with michael chiklis playing the thing michael chiklis uh is the star of the shield which is one of my favorite tv shows of all time um i absolutely love that show from start to finish i think it's absolutely amazing so big recommendations to what the shield not so much of a recommendation to watch the fantastic four movie uh which i think is a bit crap but i love michael chiklis so here's the thing but that was the show hope you enjoyed that video uh you know didn't spend as much as we normally spend but maybe that was because we nipped out a bit earlier i do have a little bit of regret and not picking up the big homer simpson and maybe some other bits in there we did end up actually nipping to manic miners uh this week to actually buy the uh the christmas gremlin that i saw on his stand uh i i i was itchy i was itchy after seeing it so we ended up going and buying that uh but yeah it's a cracking little toy show i'm gonna be at stafford toy show this sunday um hopefully this video is gonna gonna be going out thursday but i'll be at stafford on uh sunday so if anyone's there feel free to give me a shout i'll always have stickers on the go we got them on the desk here taft toys official stickers so you know if you want one of those let me know um otherwise uh you know give a give a like and a comment on this video let me know what you would have picked up and what toy shows you enjoy best and in the meantime if you want to check out my twitch um i'm doing a little bit of a sponsored stream this sunday evening uh which would be great to get some new people in for um we're going to be playing in shrouded which is a kind of survival game really fun um but yeah you can catch me on twitch.tv forward slash big tafman otherwise check out the instagram where we do lots of regular things on the instagram we have muppets monday turtles tuesdays wrestling wednesdays and random box thursdays where i put pictures up of uh different like things from my collection that i'm opening up and then we also have a bunch of our toy openings on there and every friday we have a video from a different toy shop i think tomorrow is possibly going to be forever retro which is definitely going to be now because i've said that on stream which is probably the tiniest toy shop in the uk but you'll see that on the video anyway in the meantime uh good luck on the next toy hunt i don't know how to end the videos i'll see you later bye
