[0:00] Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States, [0:03] Donald J. Trump. [0:37] Thank you very much. [0:38] We love that song. [0:38] We could have listened to the whole song. [0:41] We had that right from the beginning. [0:43] It's Lee Greenwood, and it's been a great tribute [0:47] to all of us. [0:48] Why don't we sit down? [0:49] We've got plenty of time, right? [0:52] Special people, very special people. [0:55] And I hope you like what we're doing. [0:58] Did everybody get to see the Presidential Walk of Fame? [1:02] Right? [1:04] And you have some of your favorite presidents there, [1:06] some of your least favorite presidents. [1:09] Some were good, some were great, some were terrible. [1:12] But that's the way life goes, right? [1:14] And you notice the roses. [1:16] This is a rose garden. [1:17] And we added a lot of roses, I will tell you. [1:19] This was a rose garden that didn't have too many roses. [1:23] And if you look now, we cornered the market on roses. [1:28] And you deserve them. [1:30] So thank you for being with us in this beautiful spring, [1:35] this gorgeous spring day. [1:36] The very famous rose garden has been famous for a long time. [1:40] They let it get a little bit out of control. [1:43] But now it's brought back to the highest level. [1:46] And where you're standing or sitting right now [1:50] is white stone. [1:51] And that was grass. [1:53] And the problem with it is you couldn't walk on it, [1:55] because this was built on a wetland. [1:56] And the grass was always soaking wet. [1:58] It didn't matter. [1:59] It was always soaking wet, absolutely. [2:02] And so when Brooke Rollins would get up and start making a magnificent speech, [2:08] and she'd be standing in mud, and she'd say, I ruined my shoes. [2:12] Her speeches would never be as good as they could have been, [2:14] because she was always concerned about ruining her shoes. [2:17] But people would come here. [2:18] The women would come with the high heels. [2:20] And it wasn't a pretty picture. [2:22] So after about 150 years, we gave up in the grass. [2:27] So we said, let's build it so we can use it. [2:29] And now we have lunches here. [2:30] We have dinners here. [2:31] And it's nice. [2:32] And it's cool. [2:33] The white reflects the sun. [2:35] So you don't, although it does go in my eye right now, I notice. [2:39] I didn't anticipate that. [2:41] But it's a great place. [2:44] It's a great place. [2:45] And we do news conferences. [2:46] We do everything. [2:47] And right up here, you probably noticed the new black granite. [2:52] And it's been so well received, people can't even believe it, [2:56] because the stones were all broken and really in bad disrepair. [3:00] And it's really become great. [3:02] And we added the pictures of the presidents, [3:06] from George Washington to a guy named Trump. [3:09] And people, really, they've loved it. [3:12] We call it the presidential wall of fame or walk of fame. [3:15] We say you could call it either. [3:17] Do you like walk or wall? [3:19] Ready? [3:19] Walk. [3:20] Presidential walk of fame. [3:24] Presidential wall of fame. [3:28] Same. [3:30] That's the same. [3:31] I would call that a tie. [3:34] But I want to thank you all for being here. [3:35] It's amazing, the weekend we celebrate Mother's Day, [3:40] honoring the women who raised us and all of the wonderful mothers [3:44] in our lives for millions of American families. [3:47] Sunday will be filled with love and gratitude and joy. [3:50] Great. [3:51] I had a great mother, by the way. [3:53] And today, we're honored to be joined by many strong and truly [3:57] heroic moms who have stood up for their children, [4:00] both in life and in a very profound loss, very, very [4:04] terrible and many just terrible loss, many cases. [4:09] And we have a lot of the greatest people on Earth. [4:11] Angel moms, they're with us today. [4:13] They're great people. [4:15] They've been through so much. [4:16] And I got to know so many of you during my first days of running. [4:25] I got to know you and I got to love you. [4:28] But we want to thank you for being here on Mother's Day. [4:31] It's one of the great days. [4:33] I always think so fondly of my mother. [4:35] I had a wonderful mother. [4:36] Among those with us this afternoon are a number of the angel moms [4:41] who saw their precious children stolen from them [4:44] by the open border policies of the radical left. [4:47] Open borders. [4:49] I call them stupid borders. [4:50] It's not open. [4:50] I call them stupid borders by stupid people that put them there. [4:55] And the migrant criminals, they let them pour into our country. [5:00] And bad things happened. [5:02] Bad things happened. [5:04] 25 million people came into our country. [5:07] Many of them were criminals. [5:08] Many of them were murderers. [5:10] They allowed them in with their open border policy of stupidity. [5:13] These incredibly brave and resilient women have turned terrible tragedy [5:18] into unyielding resolve, becoming advocates so that their mothers [5:23] do not have to endure the same heartache that they've felt all their lives. [5:29] They've felt for so long. [5:31] They've raised the most beautiful child that has taken, [5:34] and they've spent so many years. [5:36] In many cases, I see some of you for, I've known you for years, [5:40] and others are unfortunately new members of that club. [5:45] And I say unfortunately, it's a sad thing. [5:48] Should have never happened. [5:49] Should have never happened. [5:51] In their honor, we've rapidly turned the worst and most dangerous border [5:55] in the history of our country into the strongest border in American history. [5:59] We have no people come in during the last 11 months. [6:02] We have zero. [6:03] Zero. [6:07] Nobody even tries to come up. [6:08] You know, you used to read about the thousands of people [6:11] that would pour in and they'd just come up in caravans. [6:14] I came, I think it was my name I came up with. [6:16] It looked like a caravan. [6:18] 25, 30,000 people pouring up. [6:21] They walked through Mexico. [6:23] They come from all different locations, come from all over the world, actually. [6:26] But they came in through our southern border and they'd come up and just let them walk in. [6:32] Nobody had any idea who they were. [6:34] They were murderers. [6:35] 11,888 murderers, they were allowed to come into our country. [6:41] We've gotten a lot of them out. [6:43] Many of them murdered more than one person. [6:45] What a shame. [6:47] What a disgusting shame. [6:48] That people can even think that this is okay is pretty incredible. [6:52] But for the past 12 months we've had, that's been our number. [6:56] And these numbers are done by people that, the numbers when they, when I say zero, I mean, [7:03] I actually mean zero. [7:04] It's hard to believe actually. [7:06] But they're done by people that are, they tend to be somewhat on the left. [7:10] So they're not going to give us a fair shake. [7:13] And they say that, you know, people don't come anymore because they know they're not going [7:17] to get through. [7:18] So when they know they're not going to get through, they just don't come. [7:21] And just on that, we save a lot of lives because some of that journey up from Honduras [7:26] and El Salvador and lots of other countries or from the Congo where they drop them there [7:32] and they walk up and they come through our country. [7:35] They emptied the prisons of the Congo into the area of the southern border and then told [7:42] them to just walk in because stupid Americans are going to accept you beautifully. [7:47] And these were hard, mean, vicious criminals they allowed into our country. [7:53] How anybody can vote for these people is hard to believe, okay, it's hard to believe. [7:58] But to a friend of mine, Mary Ann Mendoza, Mary Ann, where is Mary Ann? [8:02] Where are you, Mary Ann? [8:04] I got to know you right from the beginning, right? [8:08] And I won't ask her that, but I would often ask, is it easier with time because time has [8:14] gone by. [8:15] Mary Ann, no, it's not. [8:18] Sadly, it's not, you know, you always hear with time and time and, but a lot of people [8:22] say it's not, it's not easier. [8:25] But you're a special woman, I've gotten to be a friend of yours, you're a special woman. [8:30] What you have to go through is disgraceful. [8:34] Tammy Nobles, Tammy, are you here? [8:36] Tammy Nobles, right. [8:37] Does time help, Tammy? [8:39] No. [8:41] It used to be, you know, time heals all wounds, right? [8:44] But it doesn't. [8:45] It doesn't. [8:46] When you love somebody that much, it doesn't, it doesn't help like it should. [8:52] Jacqueline Medina, a great person, where is Jacqueline? [8:56] Jacqueline, where are you? [9:00] Thank you, darling. [9:01] Thank you. [9:02] And so many others, and I want to thank you for coming. [9:05] And I don't think you've been treated properly. [9:09] It's hard to believe, but the angel moms have not been treated properly. [9:13] But this president treats you properly. [9:15] I can't speak for others, but this one treats you properly. [9:19] Well, we love you all, and all I can say is our hearts are out to you on Mother's Day, [9:25] and you have a good Mother's Day. [9:26] Go and have a good Mother's Day. [9:28] In securing our border, we've also made tremendous strides in stopping the flow of illegal drugs [9:34] into our country. [9:35] The flood of deadly fentanyl across our border is down by 59 percent, and the drugs coming [9:43] in by sea are down by 97 percent, 97 percent. [9:49] And we're trying to figure out who the three percent are, because they are the bravest people [9:53] on Earth. [9:55] You see how we stop them by sea. [9:56] You know, for years, they'd go and catch the boat, bring them to court. [10:00] They'd go in. [10:01] They'd go out. [10:02] By the time of the evening, they'd be back in another boat bringing drugs in. [10:06] So we gave them warning, and we don't do that anymore. [10:09] We do it much more, much more efficiently. [10:13] But think of that, down by sea, a lot of them came in, about 50 percent. [10:19] It's down 97. [10:20] Now we've started a very strong — the sea was more difficult. [10:24] And now we've started land, and you'll see it coming down. [10:27] It's come down a lot, but you'll see it coming down. [10:30] They come through Mexico, for the most part. [10:32] We have a problem, because the cartels rule Mexico, and nobody else, the cartels — they [10:39] just rule it. [10:41] And, you know, we lose 200,000 people a year through this poison that pours into our country. [10:49] We're going to have the sea done, meaning the ocean, the waterways — pretty much done [10:54] 97 percent. [10:55] And we're going to have the land done very soon. [10:57] And I want to thank the brave moms fighting the epidemic of drug addiction here — addiction [11:05] — and this afternoon, including Ann Funder. [11:08] Ann, you're here someplace? [11:10] Ann Funder. [11:11] Ann Funder. [11:12] Ann Funder. [11:13] Ann Funder. [11:14] Ann Funder. [11:15] Ann Funder. [11:16] Ann Funder. [11:17] Ann Funder. [11:18] Ann Funder. [11:21] Ann Funder. [11:22] Ann Funder. [11:23] Ann Funder. [11:24] Ann Funder. [11:25] Ann Funder. [11:26] Ann Funder. [11:28] Ann Funder. [11:29] Ann Funder. [11:30] Ann Funder. [11:31] Ann Funder. [11:32] Ann Funder. [11:34] Ann Funder. [11:35] Ann Funder. [11:36] Ann Funder. [11:37] Ann Funder. [11:38] Ann Funder. [11:40] Ann Funder. [11:41] Ann Funder. [11:42] Ann Funder. [11:43] Ann Funder. [11:44] Ann Funder. [11:45] Ann Funder. [11:46] Ann Funder. [11:47] Ann Funder. [11:48] Ann Funder. [11:49] Ann Funder. [11:50] Ann Funder. [11:51] Ann Funder. [11:52] Ann Funder. [11:53] in America we've come a long way though we've we've stopped massive amounts of [11:58] drugs from coming in this afternoon we're also joined by some of the most [12:02] extraordinary mothers our nation has ever produced our cherished gold star [12:07] moms these are gold star moms these mothers raised up children so selfless [12:12] and so devoted that they volunteered to wear the uniform of our nation and laid [12:17] down their lives for all of us one of those mothers is Janice Chance Janice [12:23] where is Janice thank you thank you Janice hi you look great that's a [12:30] beautiful hat thank you Janice who lost her son marine captain Jesse Melton and I [12:38] heard he was an outstanding they they give me lists and they tell me about [12:43] people you know they said that Jesse was outstanding Janice they have the word [12:48] outstanding thank you for being here just before he went to Afghanistan in 2008 [12:55] Jesse told his mother mom I want to go change the world and make it an even [13:01] better place I want to make it a better place mom just before his 30th birthday [13:06] even though he had the day off Jesse volunteered to take the place of a [13:11] fellow marine and that of his brother-in-arms could be present for the [13:16] birth of a daughter that day Jesse gave his life for our country Jesse was struck [13:23] down that day by helping somebody else and Janice I want to say America is a [13:28] strong and free nation today because of people like your great son and we want [13:33] to thank you for being here thank you very much so I also want to express my [13:40] love for the moms with us whose extraordinary heroes gave their lives in [13:44] the terrorist attack at Abbey Gate in Afghanistan I got to know you very well [13:49] very well very well and these are phenomenal people we went to a club I [13:58] own in Bedminster New Jersey which is beautiful they played music they said [14:01] you actually think he's coming out he said yes and I was going to do just to [14:06] stop by and say hello and we ended up listening to music for four hours on that [14:10] beautiful at beautiful night looking at the sky thinking about those wonderful [14:17] people Abbey Gate very well known should have never happened that should have [14:21] never happened that was incompetence by the Biden administration so to Alice [14:26] Lopez you know that right yeah we know that to Alicia Lopez and Paula Knauss self [14:34] Coral Presenio and to all of the Abbey Gate moms we're thinking of you and this [14:41] Mother's Day and again we had you to the White House we had you to I was over at a [14:48] very beautiful cemetery as beautiful as they can be but you know sad occasion we [14:55] went over and we paid our respects but we lost great people that day we shouldn't [15:02] have lost any people that day gross incompetence this Mother's Day we're [15:08] thinking of all of those incredible moms and we're doing everything in our power [15:12] to support them and millions of other mothers all across America and we're [15:18] blessed to have many wonderful mothers serving in this administration including [15:22] Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins who's doing a phenomenal job thank you [15:28] very much and the first woman ever to serve as a White House chief of staff [15:34] she's become a legend Susie Wiles she's amazing to help American families and [15:44] mothers we passed a great big beautiful bill the largest tax cuts in American [15:48] history we expanded the child tax credit to $2,200 from a much lower number per [15:57] child and delivered the largest expansion of school choice in American history we [16:02] have school choice all over now we didn't have you had virtually none [16:06] everybody loves school choice with accounts we have a very special thing the [16:10] Trump accounts where we're helping families to set aside tax advantage savings [16:16] for their children's future and we are giving every American newborn child $1,000 [16:22] automatically to invest and to grow over the course of their lives and I want to [16:29] thank the Dell family it's a great family he is amazing she is amazing they [16:35] they've done such a job such a job on that they put up a lot of money to put up [16:42] $6,250,000,000 that's somebody and he started making computers on his bed in [16:48] college and selling them because they were better than other computers and he [16:51] just I said how did you do that he said well I did it and I just never stopped it [16:55] just kept going so go out and buy a Dell they're great we're also working to [17:01] make it easier than ever before to start a family by lowering the price of IVF [17:07] cutting regulatory battles and barriers and fighting to bring down the cost of [17:12] living so that more Americans can pursue the dream of and it's a dream of [17:18] living just a good life maybe a great life we cut drug prices now with the [17:25] favored nations most favored nations we cut them by 70 80 90 percent you could [17:31] say 500 percent 600 depending on the way you phrase the statement but we now play [17:37] so we when I was here this was a big ambition right at the beginning I was able to [17:43] cut him a little bit but I didn't cut him I cut him more than anybody else which was a [17:47] little bit because for 28 years drug prices and prescription drugs only went [17:52] in one direction and when I came back we now did something that everybody said was [17:59] impossible favored nations we had the highest drug prices in the world by far now [18:06] we have the lowest drug prices in the world can you imagine so we cut them by 50 60 70 percent and go [18:17] out and you'll see exactly it's one of the big I think it's one of the best biggest things that [18:22] we've done drugs that were costing in London $10 for a pill would cost $130 for a pill in the United States [18:32] and now if it's $10 or if it's $20 that's what we pay we pay the lowest price anywhere in the world so [18:39] it's great and the fake news doesn't want to write about it but that's why I talk about it because we [18:45] have no choice we have to so I just want to again I want to thank everybody for being here it's so [18:53] important we do things like we keep men out of women's sports a very popular issue we stopped [19:01] transgender mutilization of your children for everyone we don't have that but I want to thank [19:09] every single mother here this afternoon and all across our nation for your work every single day [19:15] America's moms are raising really raising the future of our country the most important you have the most [19:22] we don't call it a job because when you love it it's not a job but let's for this purpose you have the [19:27] most important job there is in America or anyplace else and you're doing an incredible job I just want [19:34] to wish you all a very happy Mother's Day we're gonna have a great Mother's Day and for those mothers [19:38] that lost their child many of whom are with us today the angel moms and others gold star moms we love [19:45] you especially we love you maybe even the most thank you very much thank you everybody appreciate [19:51] it this way please guys grab your stool guys move
