[2:36] Good morning. Welcome to RSBN Live. I'm Matthew Alvarez.
[2:40] At 10.30 this morning, so in about a half an hour from now,
[2:43] the president signs a proclamation from the Oval Office.
[2:46] This per the president's schedule, the White House schedule that was set out last night.
[2:51] Later today at 3 o'clock, our coverage will start at 2,
[2:54] there's a White House press briefing held by Secretary of State Marco Rubio
[2:58] as the great Carolyn Levitt is on maternity leave.
[3:02] So that'll be quite interesting to see.
[3:04] We know that the Secretary of State has held a number of press briefings
[3:09] in his role as the Secretary of State over at the State Department,
[3:13] but this would be the first time that he would be filling in for Carolyn.
[3:17] So we'll have that live here on that second broadcast.
[3:20] So an RSBN doubleheader today, as we'll see the president here in about 30 minutes.
[3:25] And then later today, we'll start our coverage at 2 o'clock
[3:28] for the 3 o'clock press briefing that will be happening with the Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
[3:33] We'll have a number of live interviews and all sorts of things
[3:37] as we are monitoring that 24-7 news cycle.
[3:40] We begin our broadcast with the latest on America's Mayor, Rudy Giuliani.
[3:45] As over the weekend, he was in critical condition at the hospital.
[3:49] For an update, we go to his spokesperson, Ted Goodman.
[3:52] On September 11th, 2001, as so many of us so vividly remember,
[4:23] Mayor Rudy Giuliani ran toward the towers to help those in need.
[4:28] This led to a diagnosis of a restrictive airway disease.
[4:33] He's now breathing on his own with his family and primary medical care provider at his side.
[4:39] Mayor Giuliani is the ultimate fighter.
[4:41] This is something he's demonstrated time and time again throughout his life,
[4:46] and he's going to win this fight.
[4:49] His family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support.
[4:53] The mayor believes in the power of prayer, and we're feeling that today.
[4:58] He remains in critical but stable condition.
[5:02] Stay tuned for additional updates as we can provide them.
[5:06] And please, keep the mayor in your prayers.
[5:10] They are helping in a big way, and we feel it.
[5:14] God bless America, and God bless America's mayor, Rudy Giuliani.
[5:18] Again, that's Ted Goodman, the spokesperson for the great America's mayor, Rudy Giuliani.
[5:28] Various texts reveal that he may join us later,
[5:31] as long as everything is still going in that progressing way for Rudy's condition there
[5:37] during that second broadcast.
[5:39] So that's Ted Goodman.
[5:40] Again, will most likely be joining us during that 2 p.m. broadcast
[5:44] to talk about Rudy Giuliani, the latest on his condition,
[5:47] but also overall, as you guys have seen maybe yesterday and, you know, today a little bit,
[5:53] you know, highlighting people like Rudy Giuliani, a great patriot here in this country.
[5:58] Meantime, in a video that's circulating online,
[6:01] State Senator Rob Sampson, a Republican out of Connecticut,
[6:04] recently called out Democrats for attacking homeschoolers.
[6:08] Let's go to clip number two.
[6:10] The family is not a department of the government.
[6:13] But parents are not subjects.
[6:17] They are citizens.
[6:19] And they do not need the permission of this state government
[6:22] or anyone in this room to educate their own children.
[6:27] Thank you, Madam President.
[6:29] All right.
[6:30] So that was out of Connecticut, of course.
[6:32] Homeschooling a great option as well.
[6:34] I know a number of people that were homeschooled.
[6:37] Great people.
[6:37] And I love it.
[6:38] And I think that that might be happening in our family as well.
[6:41] Anyway, let's go now to the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth,
[6:46] as the Pentagon highlights a ceremony that was held there just yesterday.
[6:50] Let's go to clip number three.
[6:55] The two heroes before us today, their particular story culminates on the corner of 17th and I Streets in our nation's capital.
[7:03] These guardsmen then and today made our capital safe.
[7:10] Major Reynolds and Stanfield, you are the essence of what General Patton called, quote, the real hero.
[7:16] Major Ryan Reynolds advanced towards active gunfire to assist wounded service members.
[7:22] Without regard for personal safety, he subdued the attacker, allowing first responders to render life-saving aid.
[7:31] Major Stanfield took actions to subdue the assailant, then worked in concert with local law enforcement to secure the scene,
[7:38] maintain casualty care, and ensure the orderly arrival of emergency medical services.
[7:43] In memory of Specialist Sarah Bextra, I'd like to do a moment of silent prayer.
[7:49] She's not forgotten today.
[7:51] She's not forgotten any day.
[7:52] And it is her memory that stiffens our resolve each and every day.
[7:57] And then Andy, one day I'm looking down at him in a hospital bed.
[8:00] The next day I'm looking up, he's throwing out the first pitch.
[8:02] These heroes are part of humanity's oldest story, good versus evil, courage versus cowardice, fight versus flight.
[8:18] They chose good that day.
[8:21] Speaking of the Department of War, a press conference was held this morning to update the public on Operation Epic Fury.
[8:30] Let's take a look at that.
[8:31] Well, as you know, President Trump has directed U.S. Central Command to restart the free flow of commerce through the Strait of Hormuz under the umbrella of Project Freedom.
[8:45] To be clear, this operation is separate and distinct from Operation Epic Fury.
[8:52] Project Freedom is defensive in nature, focused in scope, and temporary in duration.
[8:58] With one mission, protecting innocent commercial shipping from Iranian aggression.
[9:04] American forces won't need to enter Iranian waters or airspace.
[9:09] It's not necessary.
[9:10] We're not looking for a fight.
[9:13] But Iran also cannot be allowed to block innocent countries and their goods from an international waterway.
[9:20] Iran is the clear aggressor, harassing civilian vessels, threatening mariners from every nation indiscriminately,
[9:30] and weaponizing a critical choke point for its own financial benefit, or at least trying to.
[9:34] For too long, Iran has been harassing ships, shooting at civilian tankers from all nations, and trying to impose a tolling system.
[9:45] Iran's plan, a form of international extortion, is unacceptable.
[9:52] That ends with Project Freedom.
[9:55] Two U.S. commercial ships, along with American destroyers, have already safely transited the Strait, showing the lane is clear.
[10:02] We know the Iranians are embarrassed by this fact.
[10:08] They said they control the Strait.
[10:09] They do not.
[10:11] So American ships led the way, commercial and military, shouldering the initial risk from the front, as Americans always do.
[10:20] And right now, hundreds more ships from nations around the world are lining up to transit.
[10:26] CENTCOM, along with partner nations, is in active communication with hundreds of ships, shipping companies, and insurers.
[10:33] All of these ships from all around the world want to get out of the Iranian trap that they have been stuck inside.
[10:42] As a direct gift from the United States to the world, we have established a powerful red, white, and blue dome over the Strait.
[10:51] American destroyers are on stations, supported by hundreds of fighter jets, helicopters, drones, and surveillance aircraft,
[10:57] providing 24-7 overwatch for peaceful, commercial vessels.
[11:03] Except Iran's, of course.
[11:05] Which is why our ironclad blockade remains in full effect as well.
[11:10] In fact, six ships tried to run the blockade out of Iranian ports as Project Freedom commenced, and they were all turned around.
[11:20] This is more than strategy.
[11:22] It's also humanitarian.
[11:23] By breaking Iran's illegal stranglehold, we're protecting the lives and livelihoods of sailors from dozens of countries,
[11:30] securing global energy routes, and preventing shortages that hit the world's poorest people the hardest.
[11:35] Once again, America is using its strength to lift up others.
[11:41] Iran is trying to subjugate the world.
[11:45] To what remains of Iran's forces, if you attack American troops or innocent commercial shipping,
[11:50] you will face overwhelming and devastating American firepower.
[11:54] The president has been very clear about this.
[11:57] We prefer this to be a peaceful operation, but are locked and loaded to defend our people, our ships, our aircraft, and this mission without hesitation.
[12:09] To Iran, let innocent ships pass freely.
[12:12] These international waters belong to all nations, not to Iran to tax, toll, or control.
[12:20] To our partners, allies, and the rest of the world, this is a temporary mission for us.
[12:28] As I've said before, the world needs this waterway a lot more than we do.
[12:34] We're stabilizing the situation so commerce can flow again, but we expect the world to step up.
[12:40] At the appropriate time and soon, we will hand responsibility back to you.
[12:44] To the incredible Americans executing this mission right now, simply thank you.
[12:51] Your courage, your readiness, your unmatched professionalism and precision are why the world can breathe easier today and every day.
[12:59] You are and always will be the greatest fighting force in human history, unmatched always.
[13:05] Project Freedom is underway, commerce will be flowing, and America is once again leading with strength, clarity, and purpose for the benefit of the entire world.
[13:15] Our will is unshakable.
[13:19] God bless our troops, and God bless the mighty United States Navy as well.
[13:22] Mr. Chairman, over to you.
[13:23] Thank you, Mr. Secretary, and good morning, everyone.
[13:26] Thanks for being here.
[13:27] On Sunday, at the direction of the President, CENTCOM initiated Project Freedom with the objective of facilitating the safe passage of international commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
[13:38] Over the past seven weeks, Iran has repeatedly threatened and attacked commercial shipping in the Strait in order to effectively cut off commercial traffic and damage the global economy.
[13:50] By obstructing one of the world's most critical maritime checkpoints, a vital transit route for approximately one-fifth of the global oil consumption, Iran is weaponizing the global supply chain.
[14:02] This action disregards established navigational rights and the law of the sea, and the regime led by the IRGC is effectively attempting to hold the entire global economy hostage.
[14:14] Let me give you an update on the last few days of activities, and if you take a look at the map here.
[14:20] As the Secretary said, the United States has established Project Freedom to open up the Strait of Hormuz.
[14:26] This graphic highlights the kinetic engagements that the Iranians have attempted to make or have taken against the region.
[14:34] The green dots and blue dots show the groupings of commercial cargo and tanker vessels, and the United States has established a significant presence over the Strait here in order to open up the free flow of commerce, noting the blockade still continues along the eastern flank.
[14:54] The map shows the examples and samples of Iranian attacks against commercial vessels in the Strait, as well as the Gulf of Oman, and up in the Arabian Gulf.
[15:06] Since the ceasefire was announced, Iran has fired at commercial vessels nine times and seized two container ships, and they've attacked U.S. forces more than ten times, all below the threshold of restarting major combat operations at this point.
[15:23] You can also see the group of tankers and cargo vessels in the U.S. blockade line, as I mentioned.
[15:29] As a result of Iran's indiscriminate attacks across the region, there are currently 22,500 mariners embarked on more than 1,550 commercial vessels trapped in the Arabian Gulf, unable to transit.
[15:46] In addition to shipping, Iran has continued to deliberately attack its neighbors.
[15:53] Just yesterday, Iran attacked Oman once and the UAE three times, including an attack on Fujairah oil terminal, which was successfully defeated.
[16:03] They also launched cruise missiles, drones, small boats at U.S. forces defending commercial shipping in the Straits, and United States Navy MH-60 helicopters and Army AH-64 Apache helicopters successfully defeated those threats.
[16:19] Thus far, today is quieter.
[16:21] Let me describe this defensive operation just a few clicks down for you.
[16:25] As the Secretary said, Project Freedom is designed to protect commercial shipping and help restore the flow of commerce through the strait and sustain freedom of navigation.
[16:37] CENTCOM has established an enhanced security area on the southern side of the strait that is now protected by U.S. land, naval, and air assets to help defeat further Iranian aggression against commercial shipping.
[16:53] I'd like to share a little bit more about U.S. capabilities, but for operational security purposes, I'm not going to get into specific details out there.
[17:03] On the surface, guided missile destroyers and other warships are detecting and defeating Iranian threats.
[17:09] This includes fast boats and one-way attack drones.
[17:12] In the air, more than 100 fighters, attack aircraft, and other manned and unmanned aircraft, synchronized by the 82nd Airborne Division, are in the air 24 hours a day providing defensive overwatch for the enhanced security area and its approaches that I discussed.
[17:31] These forces are comprised of over 15,000 American service members and have established localized air and sea control to protect against Iranian threats.
[17:45] Commercial vessels that transit through the area will see, hear, and frankly feel U.S. combat power around them on the sea, in the skies, and on the radio.
[17:56] And as of this morning, as was mentioned prior, two U.S. flag merchant vessels have transited, and we anticipate more to transit over the coming days.
[18:06] Further up the Gulf, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command continues to work.
[18:11] And we'll return to the remainder of that press conference in just a second.
[18:17] Of course, let's go to some of our sponsors here on Right Side Broadcasting Network as we are live at 10, 15 Eastern Time.
[18:23] When it comes to health care, people are looking for something simple, access, control, and peace of mind.
[18:29] And right now, that's not always easy to get.
[18:31] You've probably experienced it.
[18:33] These long wait times, packed waiting rooms, dealing with insurance, and still not getting what you need when you need it.
[18:38] That's why more Americans are turning to All Family Pharmacy.
[18:41] They've built a system that's simple, safe, and secure.
[18:45] It's simple.
[18:45] You go online, you choose what you need, and you fill out a short medical form.
[18:49] It's safe.
[18:50] A licensed doctor reviews your request and prescribes if appropriate.
[18:54] And it's secure.
[18:55] Your information and transactions are protected from start to finish.
[18:59] They offer access to more than 400 prescription medications from everyday maintenance medications to antibiotics, antivirals,
[19:08] ivermectin, mevendazole, NAD+, and more.
[19:12] All shipped directly to your door.
[19:14] No confusion, no delays.
[19:15] Just a better way to get what you need.
[19:17] Go to allfamilypharmacy.com slash rsbn.
[19:20] Use that rsbn10 promo code to save 10%.
[19:24] Again, that's allfamilypharmacy.com slash rsbn.
[19:28] Let's also go to Birch Gold Group here on right side.
[19:31] When there are supply constraints on commodities, prices surge.
[19:34] You saw it with fuel prices when the Strait of Hormuzes was blockaded.
[19:39] And you know what else is a limited commodity?
[19:41] Gold.
[19:42] They mine it out of the ground.
[19:44] And when it's gone, it's simply gone.
[19:45] Governments can't just print more of it.
[19:47] And that's why everyone from central banks to savvy savers are diversifying with gold.
[19:53] Now, if you've been thinking about it for years but have still never moved some of your savings into physical gold,
[19:58] Birch Gold Group is who we trust to help you.
[20:02] Now, through May 29th, Birch Gold is giving a first-time gold buyer a rebate of up to $10,000 on qualifying purchases.
[20:10] So for details and a free information kit on diversifying into gold, text TRUMP to the number 989898.
[20:16] Birch Gold can help you convert an existing IRA or 401k into a tax-sheltered IRA in physical gold.
[20:22] So all you have to do is text TRUMP to the number you see on the screen there, 989898.
[20:25] This is to see if you qualify for a first-time gold buyer a rebate of up to $10,000.
[20:32] Again, you'll also get that free info kit.
[20:34] Again, text TRUMP to 989898 today.
[20:37] Before we get back to that press conference at the Pentagon, we know that the vice president is not in Washington, D.C. today.
[20:45] He is in Iowa now and then Iowa later.
[20:50] He'll be holding two events there.
[20:51] So as we see a few of those clips happen, we'll be able to share that with you,
[20:56] whether in this broadcast or even in our second broadcast of the day, which will start at 2 o'clock Eastern time.
[21:03] Marco Rubio, the secretary of state, will be holding a White House press briefing
[21:07] as, of course, the great care of the Levitt is on maternity leave.
[21:11] We'll have all of this live here with the secretary of state a bit later as this is an RSBN doubleheader.
[21:18] Again, I'm Matthew Alvarez.
[21:19] Thanks for watching.
[21:19] Let's go back to the Pentagon from this morning.
[21:21] Well, as you know, President Trump has directed you to remember some of our fallen.
[21:30] Today, we remember Sergeant William Rivers, Specialist Breonna Moffat, and Specialist Kennedy Sanders
[21:37] of the 718th Engineering Company, U.S. Army Reserves, out of Fort Benning, Georgia.
[21:44] They were tragically killed on January 28, 2024, when attacked by an Iranian-backed proxy force at Tower 22 in Jordan.
[21:55] We continue to carry on their memories.
[21:58] We remember their names.
[21:59] We remember their families.
[22:01] And the secretary and I are deeply grateful for all of our deployed forces who are out there doing our nation's work.
[22:07] And, sir, with that, I'll kick it back over to you.
[22:09] We'll take a few questions.
[22:12] Go ahead.
[22:13] Thank you.
[22:15] Alexandra Anderson, One America News.
[22:18] Do you assess, Mr. Secretary, do you assess what's left of this small boat fleet to be a significant threat or a nuisance to be managed?
[22:27] And then, secondly, what is your message to critics who say that the U.S. doesn't have a strategy in this mission?
[22:33] Well, any threat needs to be taken seriously.
[22:36] And just like those six attack boats that the chairman mentioned were taken seriously and dealt with.
[22:41] Before there were any real threat to the American military vessels that they were approaching.
[22:47] And small craft like that are all that Iran has left.
[22:52] Their ability to get close with a destroyer of the capabilities that we have is limited.
[22:58] But we're going to take it very seriously and kinetically, quickly.
[23:02] We're not going to allow a threat to gather.
[23:05] And I can tell you, even from just this morning, the strategy remains laser focused.
[23:10] In fact, what I think you see from Project Freedom is that we're not allowing ourselves to get distracted.
[23:14] This is a separate and distinct effort, temporary in nature, that we plan to hand over to the world.
[23:19] The world has expressed a desire to be a part of this, as is often the case, or maybe almost always the case.
[23:26] American leadership is required.
[23:28] So the president was willing to undertake this, send commercial ships through, send destroyers in, provide this red, white, and blue bubble of protection,
[23:35] and encourage the world to step up.
[23:38] Because ultimately, this waterway is, as I said, far more crucial to the rest of the world.
[23:43] And they need to have the ability to defend it.
[23:45] So I think this is a reflection of a laser focused strategy, actually.
[23:49] Right here.
[23:49] Morning, Mr. Secretary.
[23:50] Mr. Chairman.
[23:51] David Zia, Real America's Voice.
[23:53] I wanted to ask you of any of the fast boats that have been either sunk or identified.
[23:57] Are there any armaments larger than, say, small AK-47 type stuff or any anti-ship cruise missiles identified?
[24:04] And my second question is, if there's a divide between the IRGC and Tehran,
[24:09] is there a way to get Tehran to agree to let us go after the IRGC that is doing these attacks without violating the ceasefire?
[24:18] Well, right now, anything coming at our crafts, regardless of what's on it, has to be defended against.
[24:25] And that's the case.
[24:26] I don't know what the exact armaments that were on those fast boats.
[24:29] Small arms.
[24:30] Nothing significant on the fast boats.
[24:32] Rifles or small machine guns.
[24:34] There were some small coastal cruise missiles shot down as well.
[24:38] So there's been – I think there's some frothiness in the beginning aspects of this that were dealt with very directly by our destroyers.
[24:45] And we're communicating both overtly and quietly to the Iranians to allow this defensive operation to happen on behalf of the world.
[24:54] There are some actions the IRGC takes sometimes that are outside the bounds of what maybe Iranian negotiators would like.
[25:01] That's their job to rein that in and ultimately create a condition for a deal, right?
[25:05] That's not something I talked about in these remarks, but that's happening in real time.
[25:10] Iran has an ability to make that deal.
[25:13] But what we're demonstrating with Project Freedom is they don't control the strain.
[25:17] I mean, we know Iran is embarrassed by the fact that our blockade is holding, and we can run ships through, and we're going to help the world run ships through.
[25:25] And if they hold it at issue, the whole world knows who's doing it.
[25:28] It's not us who are willing to open it up.
[25:30] It's Iran.
[25:31] And that creates a dilemma for them.
[25:33] And we hope they make a deal.
[25:33] Yes.
[25:34] Thank you, sir.
[25:35] My first question is for General Cain, Mary Margaret with The Daily Wire.
[25:38] You said that the attacks by Iran so far are below the threshold of restarting major combat operations.
[25:46] What is that threshold?
[25:47] And then for Secretary Hegseth, are there still concerns about mines in the strait?
[25:51] And can you kind of clarify these reports of kamikaze dolphins that we've heard about?
[25:57] I haven't heard the kamikaze dolphin thing.
[26:00] It's like sharks with laser beams, right?
[26:02] The threshold of restarting is a political decision above my pay grade.
[26:07] What I'll say is it's low harassing fire right now.
[26:10] It feels like Iran is grasping at straws to try to do something across the southern flank.
[26:16] To your question, David, their command and control structure remains very fractured,
[26:21] and I think they're struggling to maintain control down echelon at the edge.
[26:26] But it's still pretty low-level kinetics at this point in time.
[26:31] And I can't confirm or deny whether we have kamikaze dolphins, but I can confirm they don't, ultimately.
[26:40] Any follow-on effort, if there are mines identified, would be something that some of our units could undertake or the world could undertake.
[26:48] But right now we know we have a lane of safe passage that commercial shipping can flow through.
[26:52] Thank you, Secretary Hexth.
[26:54] The last 24 hours or so, Iran's fired at us.
[26:57] We fired at Iran.
[26:59] I'm just going to ask you more directly.
[27:00] Is the ceasefire over?
[27:03] No, the ceasefire is not over.
[27:06] Ultimately, this is a separate and distinct project.
[27:08] And we expected there would be some churn at the beginning, which happened.
[27:15] And we said we would defend and defend aggressively, and we absolutely have.
[27:18] Iran knows that.
[27:20] And ultimately, the President's going to make a decision whether anything were to escalate into a violation of a ceasefire.
[27:26] But certainly, we would urge Iran to be prudent in the actions that they take to keep that underneath this threshold.
[27:33] This is about the straits.
[27:34] This is about freedom of navigation.
[27:35] This is about international waterways.
[27:37] This is about free flow of commerce.
[27:39] All the things that happened before, and only Iran is contesting.
[27:44] So right now, the ceasefire certainly holds, but we're going to be watching very, very closely.
[27:49] Absolutely.
[27:49] James, go ahead.
[27:51] Mr. Secretary, thank you.
[27:52] General, thank you.
[27:53] I want to first express my gratitude and admiration for the work you do, and for everyone involved in our armed forces,
[27:59] and also for the accomplishments of Operation Epic Fury, which I think are too often dismissed too lightly.
[28:07] But those accomplishments don't obscure, I think, a central default that has occurred here, and I would like you both to address it.
[28:16] On the first day of this conflict, President Trump addressed the Iranian people directly and said,
[28:22] when we're finished, take over your government.
[28:25] It'll be yours to take.
[28:27] And then on the seventh day of the conflict, in a Truth Social post, the President said, quote,
[28:33] there will be no deal with Iran except, all caps, exclamation mark, unconditional surrender.
[28:40] What happens to that pledge to the Iranians?
[28:43] And when did the President decide to capitulate on his demand for unconditional surrender?
[28:49] James, I wouldn't, I wouldn't, you started out nicely, but you ended exactly where we knew you would end.
[28:56] The President hasn't capitulated on anything.
[28:59] He holds the cards, we remain, we maintain the upper hand, and Project Freedom only strengthens that hand.
[29:04] And so he will ensure that whatever deal is made or whatever end state is reached creates ensuring that Iran never has a nuclear weapon,
[29:12] which is A number one, and he's been focused on that, and the deal and discussions are centered on that.
[29:17] And what the Iranian people take advantage of after the fact is up to them, and he's been very clear about that.
[29:22] And maybe you do it now, maybe it happens later, but ultimately he's also been clear,
[29:27] we're not going to entangle this into some nation-building project.
[29:31] Our objectives are clear.
[29:34] They've been pursued from day one.
[29:36] Hopefully the Iranian people take advantage of that because they're being taken advantage of by this regime.
[29:41] As you know, 45,000 Iranians, innocent Iranians, killed before the outset of this.
[29:47] That's what this government does, kills their own innocent civilians.
[29:50] Getting out from underneath that is going to be a challenge of the Iranian people, and we certainly hope they take advantage of that.
[29:55] Thank you.
[29:55] Can I have one follow, please?
[29:59] Go ahead.
[30:00] Everybody else, everybody else follows directives.
[30:02] Go ahead.
[30:02] Thank you, Mr. Secretary.
[30:03] Can you share any information regarding the South Korean ship that was reportedly hit by Iran?
[30:09] Is Seoul in contact with the U.S. military about it?
[30:11] And is there any indication that they would heed Trump's call made on social media to join Project Freedom?
[30:17] We hope so.
[30:18] We're in contact with that ship, CENTCOM, I should say, and the Maritime Coordination Forces are in touch.
[30:24] And I think targeting like that is a reflection of the indiscriminate nature of what Iran is doing.
[30:29] We hope South Korea would step up, just like we hope Japan would step up, just like we hope Australia would step up, just like we hope Europe steps up.
[30:36] But we're not waiting for them to do so.
[30:38] We're looking to set the conditions to hand to them.
[30:40] But the President was clear in his truth message that, hey, this is your ship.
[30:44] You should take part in helping to defend it.
[30:46] We very much hope they do.
[30:47] Mr. Secretary, in terms of new U.S. intelligence reports suggest that a timeline for the war in Iran to get a nuclear weapon has not changed since last summer, still at 9 to 12 months.
[30:58] Is that intelligence wrong?
[31:00] How can this be after so much bombing?
[31:01] And for General Cain, going on back onto what you're talking about, the Stray of Hormuz, the President recently said that the blockade is even more effective than bombing.
[31:09] So why didn't we start the campaign with the blockade?
[31:11] And initially, how many planned ships do you plan to escort or take through commercial ships to the Stray of Hormuz today or in the coming days?
[31:20] Well, we don't discuss the specifics about intel, and anybody that does shouldn't be.
[31:24] And I can't confirm or deny whether that is indeed correct speculation, as far as I'm concerned, coming from you.
[31:31] But ultimately, what Operation Midnight Hammer did in the obliteration of those facilities was set back their program.
[31:37] And then, because of the efforts of the 12-day war, the President was able to recognize that this threat, while they continued to seek nuclear capabilities, their will was still there to seek a nuclear bomb.
[31:48] Ultimately, they were creating a conventional umbrella of so many missiles and so many capabilities that no one would want to challenge them.
[31:54] Think of the North Korea.
[31:56] This is the North Korea strategy.
[31:57] We have so many conventional capabilities, you won't do something about it.
[32:00] And underneath that, we're going to develop more nuclear capabilities.
[32:03] So the will was still there.
[32:05] President Trump had the courage to say, we have to dismantle and take on those conventional capabilities.
[32:10] While the dust, while the nuclear facilities are watched 24-7 and overwatched.
[32:15] And we will ensure, one way or another, hopefully Iran chooses a deal, that they give up those ambitions, give up those capabilities.
[32:24] And we're able to confirm that every step of the way.
[32:27] So that has been, President Trump's been focused on it.
[32:30] He's set them back like no other president.
[32:32] He ripped up the terrible deal that would have given them a bomb.
[32:35] He took care of it in Midnight Hammer.
[32:36] We're watching it right now and ultimately feel good about the fact that the end state will ensure that Iran never has a nuclear weapon.
[32:43] Go ahead.
[32:44] Sir, I'll let CENTCOM talk to the number of ships they're going to take through because they're the nearest ones to talking to the commercial shippers.
[32:51] And I don't want to get out in front of them.
[32:53] On the order and sequence around the military objectives, that's a decision the president and the secretary go get us at.
[32:58] And at the time, we were focused on the primary objectives that were in front of us.
[33:03] Thank you.
[33:05] Ryan Morgan with the Epoch Times.
[33:06] On Friday, President Trump notified Congress that the hostilities that began on February 28th had terminated.
[33:15] That came on the deadline of the 60-day War Powers deadline.
[33:21] Will this administration be seeking congressional approval for any further military operations if the ceasefire breaks down?
[33:30] Our view is the one you described, that ultimately with the ceasefire, the clock stops.
[33:39] If it were to restart, that would be the president's decision.
[33:42] That option is always there, and Iran knows that.
[33:45] And that's why, you know, their choices in Project Freedom are important.
[33:50] The president retains the opportunity and the capabilities, more capabilities than we had at the start of this, to restart major combat operations if necessary.
[33:59] If Iran is not willing to follow through on its side of the bargain or make a deal, then the War Department is postured, locked, loaded, and ready to go.
[34:08] We hope it doesn't have to go in that direction.
[34:11] But Admiral Cooper and our forces are in a three-point stance and ready to go.
[34:14] Yeah, last question.
[34:14] Thank you, Liam Cosgrove with Zero Hedge.
[34:17] In recent weeks, both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel's head of Mossad have stated their intent not to cease combat with the Iranians.
[34:27] Netanyahu put this on Twitter.
[34:28] Israel's head of Mossad said Israel's goals are not finished until the Iranian government collapses.
[34:33] And so they're referring to the government that President Trump has brokered a ceasefire with and is working on a lasting peace in the region with.
[34:40] And so that's something many Americans, especially American farmers, are hoping he does get to a lasting peace.
[34:46] And so if President Trump is successful in that and the Israelis are explicitly stating their intent to continue fighting at a later date, how can you ensure America doesn't get roped back into a war if that comes?
[34:57] And secondly, with Netanyahu comfortable tweeting something like that out, and also Netanyahu has continued bombing Lebanon despite President Trump explicitly telling him not to.
[35:06] This is based on the false premise that somehow President Trump is being pulled in by Prime Minister Netanyahu to any of these actions.
[35:13] And that's where you're going.
[35:15] Just to be clear, President Trump has led at every step of this based on his view of American interest in America first.
[35:21] And we're grateful that Israelis have been very capable partners at many steps of this.
[35:25] And they may have some objectives at times that are slightly different than ours.
[35:29] But there's only one hand on the wheel ultimately directing this, whether it's Project Freedom or previously Operation Epic Fury, and it's President Trump.
[35:37] So we're grateful for their input, their insights, the existential nature of the threat they face from an Iranian bomb, the capabilities that they can bring to that.
[35:44] But ultimately, the coordination will happen with the leadership of President Trump.
[35:48] Thank you very much.
[35:49] I appreciate it.
[35:50] All right, so the Operation Epic Fury press conference from the Pentagon there in full right here on Right Side Broadcasting Network upcoming.
[36:04] As you see on the bottom of your screen, we'll be seeing the president.
[36:07] He'll be signing a proclamation from the Oval Office.
[36:10] And then we'll see if he takes questions as well from the press.
[36:13] Speaking of the press, later today, we'll have a 2 o'clock start time, Eastern time, of course,
[36:19] as the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, will be holding a White House press briefing in the James S. Brady press briefing room, of course,
[36:28] as the great Carolyn Levitt is on maternity leave.
[36:30] So the Secretary of State filling in for that role today.
[36:34] That'll be interesting to watch as well.
[36:35] So we'll have both of the live events right here on Right Side Broadcasting Network,
[36:40] all brought to you by some great sponsors, including calshe.com slash rsbn.
[36:44] So, of course, you can go to the QR code, you can download the app if you'd like,
[36:48] or you can go to calshe.com slash rsbn, because there's a lot of trending things that people are putting money online for
[36:56] and also checking out various polls, including one for the L.A. mayor's race.
[37:01] Spencer Pratt spiked after a viral ad out there, but has dipped back down after Kamala Harris endorsed Karen Bass.
[37:09] So people are talking about that.
[37:11] They're also talking about Texas, where a Texas state Republican primary is ongoing.
[37:16] May 26th will be the decision coming down to the wire.
[37:20] Corden was as high as 80% in March, but is now below 50%.
[37:25] And then in California, for the gubernatorial race there, of course, we know on the Republican side,
[37:30] we have Steve Hilton, we have Chad Bianco, the Riverside County Sheriff.
[37:35] Steve Hilton, also endorsed by President Trump.
[37:37] On the other side of the aisle, Xavier Becerra has recently overtaken Tom Steyer there.
[37:43] So a lot of political trends happening.
[37:46] A lot of people on CalShe checking it all out, putting money online for it.
[37:50] So you can check it out as well if you'd like.
[37:52] Great sponsor.
[37:53] They're right there, calshe.com.
[37:55] All right, let's go to our next sponsor here on Right Side Broadcasting Network, covepure.com slash rsbn.
[38:00] Of course, you've heard us talk about Cove Pure before.
[38:03] And if those water scares in Flint, Michigan and East Palestine, Ohio weren't enough to get you to make the switch,
[38:08] well, this might.
[38:09] More than 176 million Americans are drinking tap water with those PFAs in it.
[38:16] Those are the man-made chemicals used in food packaging, nonstick cookware, firefighting foam.
[38:22] Well, scientists call them forever chemicals because once they're in your body, they stay there.
[38:26] They don't break down and they're linked to hormone disruption, immune damage, and increased cancer risk.
[38:31] But here's the part that is making a number of people upset because the EPA, they're doing their job.
[38:35] They're setting legal limits for PFAs in drinking water.
[38:38] They did that back in 2024.
[38:39] But the water systems have until 2031 to comply.
[38:43] So that's five whole years from now.
[38:46] Until that deadline arrives, the utility can be operating above the legal limit right now and isn't required to notify you.
[38:52] So then you're just drinking that water.
[38:54] And that's why every single household needs CovePure because the government, they know the chemicals are harmful enough to regulate.
[39:02] They're just not making anyone act on it yet, which means if you want clean, healthy water, you're going to have to do it yourself.
[39:08] CovePure was engineered exactly for this.
[39:10] Unlike the normal pitcher filters that you see out there at the store, CovePure has this clear wave reverse osmosis technology.
[39:17] It's certified to remove up to 99.9% of contaminants.
[39:21] So those PFAs, heavy metals, fluoride, pharmaceuticals, filtering particles, hundreds of thousands of times smaller than a single human hair.
[39:30] And the best part about CovePure is they make it so easy.
[39:32] It sits right on your countertop.
[39:33] You don't have to drill any holes or call someone in to install it.
[39:37] You just plug it in.
[39:37] And you can even get whatever temperature water you want, hot, cold, or warm with the tap of a button.
[39:42] So you don't have to wait until 2031.
[39:44] Take control of your water quality right now.
[39:46] Head to CovePure.com slash RSBN.
[39:49] And because you're a viewer of this broadcast, you'll get $250 off right now.
[39:53] That's CovePure.com slash RSBN.
[39:57] Thank God for companies like this.
[39:59] So you don't, first of all, you don't have to have that aftertaste of tap water.
[40:02] But outside of that, what's making that aftertaste?
[40:04] What is all the stuff that's in there?
[40:07] Man, drink pure, live pure.
[40:09] CovePure.com slash RSBN.
[40:11] All right, it is 1038, 1037 Eastern Time here on Right Side Broadcasting Network.
[40:16] Thanks so much for joining us.
[40:18] Let's check out a new video from the White House regarding Venezuela for clip number five.
[40:31] Well, as you know, President Trump has directed U.S. Central Command to restart the free flow of...
[40:37] For the first time since 2019, direct flights from the U.S. to Venezuela are back in the air.
[40:42] This flight marks the transition from dialogue to action.
[40:47] We are committed to a U.S.-aligned Venezuela that produces real results for Venezuelans and for Americans.
[40:56] Under the leadership of the president, we've moved at lightning speed to get all the things in place we needed to do to establish air service.
[41:03] We are witnessing the rebuilding of our economic ties, the reopening of Venezuela to global commerce, and the reconnecting of our two countries.
[41:12] President Trump is a man of action, and what you're seeing today is action take place.
[41:17] Under President Trump's leadership, the United States remains fully committed to Venezuela's economic recovery.
[41:23] Today, the results speak for themselves.
[41:26] Direct flights are back.
[41:28] Commerce is flowing.
[41:29] Venezuela's economic engine is ramping up, and we're just getting started.
[41:37] Yeah, I remember the other day seeing a pilot landing in Caracas, Venezuela, with an American flag and a Venezuelan flag.
[41:45] And I believe it was that American Airlines plane as well, as things are changing there in Venezuela.
[41:51] Okay, let's go to Capitol Hill right now.
[41:53] Representative Pete Stauber has a message for his local district, I believe in St. Louis, Missouri.
[41:59] So let's take a look at clip number six.
[42:02] Hello, everyone.
[42:02] Congressman Pete Stauber here.
[42:04] There's been a lot of confusion in the media lately regarding project labor agreements in St. Louis County.
[42:10] So I want to take a moment to set the record straight.
[42:14] Recently, our region received two large packages of funding.
[42:18] The largest is a $1.5 billion investment to reconstruct the Blotnick Bridge, a transformative project for the Northland that I was proud to help deliver.
[42:29] We also recently received $6.5 million in federal highway funding for critical road construction.
[42:35] However, questions were raised about whether St. Louis County would need to abandon its longstanding policy requiring project labor agreements, ensuring the use of skilled union labor in order to access these funds.
[42:50] Let me be clear.
[42:52] That is not the case.
[42:54] I have been in direct communication with my friends over at the Department of Transportation and the White House.
[43:00] And project labor agreements will move forward for both the Blotnick Bridge and these road projects.
[43:08] While certain St. Louis County commissioners were busy finger pointing and playing the blame game in the press,
[43:14] I was busy using my time and relationships to get answers and protect this longstanding policy.
[43:21] I've always stood with the hardworking building trades as a St. Louis County commissioner and now as the representative for Minnesota's 8th Congressional District.
[43:31] And that commitment has not changed.
[43:34] To our hardworking construction tradesmen and women, I will always be in the fight for you to have good paying jobs that support your families.
[43:43] Whether it's advancing my mining resolution to unlock critical mineral development in the Superior National Forest,
[43:50] introducing the Faster Labor Contracts Act legislation, or protecting project labor agreements.
[43:57] I will keep working to create more opportunities for you and your families.
[44:03] That's my promise to you.
[44:05] Thank you.
[44:05] All right.
[44:08] We go from Missouri to at least the Louisiana Senator John Kennedy for clip number seven.
[44:14] Now, we also know that the vice president is in Iowa and Ohio today.
[44:19] So as we see those clips come down the pike, we'll air that here as well.
[44:24] Most likely, that'll be happening in our second broadcast, which starts at two o'clock Eastern time today.
[44:28] Of course, if you're just joining us, the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, will be holding the White House press briefing today.
[44:34] As, of course, the great Carolyn Levitt is on maternity leave.
[44:37] So we'll have that coverage that starts at two o'clock Eastern time here.
[44:41] And, of course, we'll throw it to Washington around three when the press briefing gets kick-started.
[44:47] In the meantime, as we stand by for this morning's coverage, again, as we see, the president will be signing a proclamation at the Oval Office.
[44:55] As of right now, I haven't received word specifically on what the proclamation is, but we'll be seeing it here together.
[45:01] So we'll watch that as it happens.
[45:04] As we stand by for the all-go at the White House, let's go to Senator John Kennedy recently with number seven.
[45:13] I have great respect for Senator Schumer.
[45:19] I like Iris's wife better, but I like Chuck.
[45:26] He is a shrewd negotiator.
[45:29] He did the right thing for America last March when we were in the shutdown and helped us get out of a shutdown.
[45:39] He got beaten bloody by a big portion of his party.
[45:48] In fact, they cut him up so bad, all they have left to work on is scar tissue.
[45:54] I'm really worried that Chuck's going to shut down government again right before the midterms.
[46:02] I hope I'm wrong.
[46:05] I hope my colleagues will talk to him and try to convince him that would be a bad thing to do.
[46:11] But I want to get ready for it.
[46:13] I don't want to stop our work on our budget.
[46:16] I want to go full speed ahead.
[46:18] But I deal with the world as it is, not as I want it to be.
[46:24] All right, so we're just jumping around, of course, between various representatives and senators on Capitol Hill as we stand by for this event that's scheduled for 1030.
[46:35] Obviously, 13 minutes after that, but all good.
[46:39] Of course, if you remember, all of the Trump rallies that we've covered over the years here at Right Side Broadcasting Network,
[46:44] sometimes the president would show up an hour and a half later because he's probably in some other city at that time speaking.
[46:50] You remember all those rallies, back-to-back rallies.
[46:53] Holy smokes, I remember that stuff.
[46:55] So we know how to stand by here at Right Side, and we're glad that you're with us as well as we're standing by to see the president.
[47:01] Also, for those of you that are just joining us, we started our broadcast at 10 this morning, of course, going over a lot of the news in the 24-7 news cycle.
[47:09] We also aired the press briefing that happened at the Pentagon this morning.
[47:13] And then on top of that, we'll be going again a little bit later today to the White House press briefing.
[47:20] Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be hosting that again as Carolyn Levitt on maternity leave.
[47:25] So we'll have a little bit of an RSBN doubleheader today.
[47:29] So as we get ready to go to the White House, let's go to a few more videos in the meantime.
[47:33] Representative Mary Miller, clip number eight.
[47:36] This is Congresswoman Mary Miller, and I want to invite you to join us in celebrating the faith that has shaped our nation for generations.
[47:47] America stands as the greatest nation on earth because of our faith in Almighty God.
[47:54] Throughout our history, faith has guided us in moments of both triumph and trial.
[47:58] As founding father Benjamin Rush wisely said, the only foundation for a useful education in a republic is to be laid in religion.
[48:08] Without it, there can be no virtue.
[48:10] And without virtue, there can be no liberty.
[48:13] And liberty is the object of all Republican governments.
[48:17] From the pilgrims who knelt in prayer before they ever set foot on this land,
[48:22] to George Washington praying at Valley Forge, to President Lincoln's call for humility and national repentance during the Civil War,
[48:30] we as Americans have consistently turned to God for strength and guidance.
[48:37] Our founders knew the truth we still hold today.
[48:40] Our rights don't come from the government.
[48:43] They are endowed by our Creator.
[48:45] Proverbs 1434 says,
[48:48] Righteousness exalts a nation.
[48:50] So this month, as we celebrate 250 years of freedom,
[48:55] let us come together and thank the Lord for the blessings bestowed on our great nation.
[49:01] America is worth fighting for.
[49:04] With God's guidance, our best days are still ahead.
[49:07] This April, believers across our nation gather in prayer and fellowship to celebrate Faith Month,
[49:13] a reminder of the divine foundation on which America was built.
[49:17] In 1776, 56 courageous men came together in Philadelphia to lay the groundwork for a new nation rooted in liberty, justice, and trust in God.
[49:29] They knew their strength alone was not enough.
[49:32] Only God's guidance could sustain a nation and make our freedom possible.
[49:37] Psalm 3312 tells us,
[49:39] Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.
[49:42] On this 250th anniversary, let us stand firm in that foundation and boldly defend our right to live out our faith openly,
[49:50] to pray, to serve, and to believe without fear.
[49:55] We thank God for His many blessings and for the liberty we cherish.
[49:59] May God bless you, and may He continue to bless the United States of America.
[50:04] April is Faith Month, and there is no better time to reflect on what drives us to serve.
[50:09] Faith is the foundation of my work in Congress.
[50:12] Micah 6.8 calls us to act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God,
[50:18] a standard worth carrying into every vote, fight, and decision made on behalf of the American people.
[50:24] America was founded on biblical principles, and those principles continue to shape our nation today.
[50:29] Limited government, personal responsibility, and freedom of conscience are not political talking points.
[50:36] They are convictions rooted in Scripture and embedded in our founding documents.
[50:41] Wyoming's delegation earned the number one ranking on the Biblical Business Index,
[50:45] proof that those values influence our work every single day.
[50:48] We remain committed to upholding these principles for the betterment of our constituents and the American people.
[50:55] Hi, Andy Biggs here from Arizona's 5th Congressional District.
[50:58] As we celebrate faith in America this month, I can't help but remember the first people who came over from Europe
[51:07] who were motivated by their faith, and the people who expanded it and built this nation,
[51:14] built it on faith in God.
[51:17] And I, too, have a deep and profound faith.
[51:20] So I encourage all of us, this entire nation needs to come back, have faith in God, trust in Him,
[51:28] and we'll see great things happen in this nation.
[51:31] I have every bit of confidence in that, and I wish you all a tremendous opportunity this month
[51:38] to take that opportunity and restore and renew our faith, just like the founders did,
[51:45] just like the people all the way, even in World War II, fighting with faith in God.
[51:51] But with our faith in God, I know we'll be a free and long-standing nation,
[51:57] continue to be the light of freedom for the world. Thanks.
[52:00] Hello. Congressman Russ Fulcher here.
[52:03] For many of us, faith is a core part of who we are.
[52:06] It guides our everyday decisions and calls us to care for our communities and our country.
[52:11] Faith is also woven into the moral foundation of our nation.
[52:14] The principles of liberty and God-given rights we hold dear are rooted in the belief that there is
[52:20] something higher than government, something that calls us to truth, responsibility, and moral duty.
[52:26] That belief isn't just something we talk about on Sundays.
[52:29] It shows up in how we live every day, in how we treat people, how we raise our families,
[52:34] and how we contribute to society.
[52:37] Faith has helped shape our country from the beginning, and it still guides many Americans today.
[52:42] I know for myself, it is my faith and trust in Jesus Christ that keeps me going as I work in Congress.
[52:49] At a time when culture often seeks to push it aside, this month is a reminder that faith is meant to grow
[52:55] and be shared in the world around us.
[52:58] We're called to live it out and to never take for granted the freedom to do so.
[53:03] From my home state of Idaho to you, God bless and happy Faith Month.
[53:07] I feel like I would be here in Congress if it weren't for my church family and my faith and my belief
[53:14] in something bigger than myself, and that's my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
[53:19] My faith, rooted in my belief in Jesus Christ, guides how I serve in Congress.
[53:24] It anchors me in truth, sharpens my judgment, and keeps my focus on serving others with integrity and purpose,
[53:30] especially when decisions are difficult.
[53:33] I believe every life is created by God with inherent dignity and worth.
[53:38] That conviction drives my work each day, including my constant effort to defend the unborn,
[53:42] uphold the conscience rights of health care providers,
[53:46] and ensure our laws respect the sanctity of life and biblical marriage.
[53:51] My job in Washington is to represent the people of Maryland's 1st District,
[53:55] and I look to God for the wisdom and strength to carry out that responsibility.
[53:59] The work of public service is not about the personal interest or recognition.
[54:03] It requires humility and discernment, grounded by faith in God and reliance on His Holy Scripture.
[54:09] As I carry out this responsibility, I pray our nation remains firm in truth, guided by faith,
[54:15] and committed to protecting the most vulnerable at every stage of life.
[54:19] Hello, everyone.
[54:20] I'm Robert Adderholt, Congressman from Alabama's 4th Congressional District,
[54:24] and as we commemorate Faith Month, I'm standing here in the rotunda of the United States Capitol,
[54:29] and behind me is the painting of the Embarkation of the Pilgrims.
[54:33] And I wanted to mention that one in particular because, as you can see in this painting,
[54:39] you have the pilgrims in prayer as they left for this new country or this new world
[54:44] that would ultimately be the United States of America.
[54:47] And also in the painting, you'll see they have the Bible opened up to the New Testament.
[54:53] And I really think that's significant because in this country,
[54:57] we have always valued protection of our religious freedom and been able to worship freely.
[55:02] I know as a young man in my hometown back in Alabama, I accepted Christ at a young age
[55:09] and went to church just about every Sunday.
[55:13] But I understand there's so many people in the world that don't have that freedom
[55:16] that we have here in the United States.
[55:18] So as we celebrate Faith Month, I want us to focus on the faith that we have
[55:23] and our ability to worship freely,
[55:25] whereas there's so many other parts of the world that does not have that freedom.
[55:29] So, again, as we focus on it, we're very thankful to this country
[55:34] that we can celebrate the freedom that we have to worship and worship freely.
[55:41] Hey, everyone. It's Congressman Austin Scott from Georgia's 8th District.
[55:44] And April is Faith Month.
[55:46] And for us as Christians, it's just an opportunity for us to reaffirm our faith.
[55:50] I thought I might share with you a Bible passage I keep in my desk drawer
[55:53] that I see pretty much every day.
[55:55] And it is Hebrews 11.1,
[55:57] Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
[56:03] Thank you and God bless.
[56:05] The importance of Christian faith is vital to me as a person, as a family.
[56:12] We are Christians and we are not shy about sharing our faith along with praying.
[56:19] And I tell audiences now that to get this country back on track,
[56:22] we're going to have to get back to prayer and asking God for forgiveness and for help.
[56:27] And along those lines, my favorite verse that I think applies to why I'm in Congress
[56:31] and why I'm running for governor is,
[56:33] Esther 414, we were chosen for such a time as this.
[56:37] Hi, all. Congressman Randy Weber from the great state of Texas here.
[56:41] And let me start by saying I love Jesus Christ.
[56:45] I've been a follower of his since July 2nd, 1973,
[56:51] when he saved me out of a life of drugs, believe that or not,
[56:54] 5.30 in the afternoon in Pearland, Texas.
[56:58] You know, our country was founded on Christian Judeo families.
[57:03] The founders knew that God would bless this nation,
[57:07] that we had to follow his precepts,
[57:09] or everything would go to someplace in a handbasket, as they like to say.
[57:13] Those values didn't just end with the founding era.
[57:17] We should practice them every single day.
[57:20] We want neighbors who will step up without being asked.
[57:23] We want families who take the responsibility of raising the next generation
[57:27] with not just a sense of purpose, but a love for our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
[57:33] That's the thread that runs through this country.
[57:36] And you may not always see it, but it's there.
[57:40] Faith Month gives us a chance to pause for a second
[57:43] to recognize that foundation and hold on to it
[57:47] as we continue to move this great nation forward
[57:50] to God's great glory in the name of Jesus Christ.
[57:56] Let's never forget that God gives us a lot.
[58:00] Everything we have comes from God.
[58:02] Hope you and your family have a great weekend.
[58:05] May you be with the Lord.
[58:06] Hi, I'm Congressman Marlon Stutzman, wishing everyone in Northeast Indiana
[58:11] and throughout the country a Happy Faith Month.
[58:15] One of the things that makes America the shining city on a hill
[58:18] is our pride in the freedom of religion that was inscribed in our Constitution by our founders.
[58:24] Many nations throughout the world do not have such a right.
[58:29] We are very blessed to have this.
[58:31] I have seen this personally with my own eyes
[58:33] when I traveled to Syria earlier this last year.
[58:37] And we have seen all sorts of images from Nigeria
[58:39] where human beings are brutally attacked
[58:42] simply for having a faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
[58:45] No one on earth deserves to face suffering or death
[58:48] for praying to their Creator.
[58:51] And sadly, many in this nation take the freedoms that we have
[58:54] to practice faith for granted.
[58:56] I encourage everyone to take an active role in their faith
[59:00] and realize that the opportunity our country affords them.
[59:04] Many do not have the same right around the world to take advantage of it.
[59:07] Again, Happy Faith Month, everybody.
[59:10] We live in the greatest country on earth because of God's blessings.
[59:14] God bless America.
[59:16] Congressman Barry Moore, Alabama's first congressional district.
[59:19] And we're talking about our faith and how it impacts the job we do.
[59:21] And I'm kind of reminded of Proverbs 9, 10.
[59:24] It says, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
[59:26] And the second part of that is the knowledge of holy is understanding.
[59:29] And through my experiences, when I actually,
[59:32] and it's not a fear in a way that the Lord's out to hurt you
[59:34] or to harm you in any kind of way,
[59:35] but it's an understanding of who He is in His holiness.
[59:38] And that's where the beginning of wisdom comes.
[59:40] And so, as we're doing our job in D.C., often we lose our way.
[59:43] I mean, I tell everybody all the time,
[59:45] you have to focus on the signal and not the noise around you.
[59:48] You focus on that signal.
[59:50] And my signal is my faith.
[59:51] And so, Psalm 119, 105 says,
[59:53] Thy word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path.
[59:56] So, daily, you know, a lamp doesn't give you a whole lot of light,
[59:59] not like the lights in the studio.
[1:00:01] A lamp in the Old Testament, as it was written,
[1:00:03] is really talking about just enough light to see that next step.
[1:00:07] So, as you're walking through life sometimes,
[1:00:11] the word has to be that lamp.
[1:00:12] And that means you don't have a trajectory
[1:00:15] of where the Lord's going to take you in your life.
[1:00:17] But really, it's just that next step of faith.
[1:00:18] So, I'd encourage you in being obedient and understanding who you are.
[1:00:22] And Micah 6.8 says,
[1:00:23] You do justly, you love mercy, and you walk humbly.
[1:00:26] God bless you guys.
[1:00:28] God bless this great nation of America.
[1:00:30] Hi, I'm Michael Rulli of The Ohio Six.
[1:00:32] In Congress, we're looking forward to Faith Month coming up here.
[1:00:35] And we're going to explore all of our faiths
[1:00:38] and the spirit that guides us in Congress.
[1:00:40] In my particular faith in Christianity,
[1:00:42] I know that every day that my end in eternity is much larger than today.
[1:00:47] So, when you keep that in mind,
[1:00:49] you can move forward with humility and love.
[1:00:51] And that's what this is about.
[1:00:52] It doesn't matter what political party you're in.
[1:00:54] We're Americans, and we are the example for the rest of history.
[1:00:57] And only with our faith can we arrive there.
[1:00:59] So, this next month with Faith Month,
[1:01:01] make sure you put your best foot forward
[1:01:03] and let everyone know that God loves them.
[1:01:06] Hi, this is Congressman Mike Bost.
[1:01:09] It's Faith Month.
[1:01:10] And I want to take a moment to share
[1:01:12] how important my faith is to me
[1:01:15] and the role it plays in my work in Congress
[1:01:19] and my everyday life.
[1:01:21] My faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of everything I do.
[1:01:25] It shapes how I lead, how I treat people, how I...
[1:01:29] All right, we're going to get back to some of that video.
[1:01:32] You can see that on X as well.
[1:01:34] And I know we talked about,
[1:01:35] or you saw people talk about April being Faith Month.
[1:01:38] Of course, any month is a great month for faith, right?
[1:01:41] So, looking forward to seeing the president here any minute from now.
[1:01:44] We are live at 10.58 Eastern Time.
[1:01:48] We'll be seeing the president here momentarily.
[1:01:50] This is all about signing a proclamation.
[1:01:52] So, we'll see what that's all about coming up.
[1:01:54] And then we'll see if he takes questions from the press.
[1:01:57] Speaking of the press, later today, 2 o'clock Eastern,
[1:01:59] if you'd like to join us right here on Right Side,
[1:02:02] because the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio,
[1:02:05] will be holding a press conference at the White House,
[1:02:08] filling in for the great Carolyn Levitt, of course,
[1:02:10] who's on maternity leave.
[1:02:11] So, if you join us at 2 o'clock Eastern,
[1:02:14] we'll have some live interviews,
[1:02:15] go over a lot of the 24-7 news cycle,
[1:02:18] and then about 3 o'clock, that press conference will begin.
[1:02:21] So, a little bit of a doubleheader today on Right Side.
[1:02:25] Also, speaking of other press conferences,
[1:02:27] if you're just joining us now,
[1:02:28] at 10 o'clock Eastern, we started our broadcast today.
[1:02:31] We aired in full the Pentagon press briefing.
[1:02:35] Let's go to the president right now.
[1:02:36] Great athletes.
[1:02:37] Some award-winning athletes.
[1:02:39] It's an honor to have everybody.
[1:02:40] We're thrilled to have so many young athletes here at the White House,
[1:02:44] in the Oval Office, on this magnificent spring day.
[1:02:48] And it is indeed a beautiful day
[1:02:50] to celebrate America's athletic traditions,
[1:02:54] and champions, and physical fitness,
[1:02:56] and all of those things that I work so hard at on a personal basis.
[1:03:00] I work out so much, like, about one minute a day max, if I'm lucky.
[1:03:05] I want to thank Secretaries Pete Hegseth,
[1:03:08] who just gave a great news conference with General Raisin Cain.
[1:03:13] And that was really good, and you're doing very well.
[1:03:16] They don't like playing games with us.
[1:03:20] They don't like it at all.
[1:03:21] You'll see that.
[1:03:22] As time goes by, you're going to see it.
[1:03:24] I think you've already seen it.
[1:03:26] We've basically wiped out the military in about two weeks.
[1:03:30] Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who's done an incredible job.
[1:03:33] Scott Turner, that everybody knows.
[1:03:35] And a legend, Linda McMahon, head of education in our country.
[1:03:40] And she's doing a fantastic job.
[1:03:42] They all are.
[1:03:44] We're also pleased to be joined by respected sports leaders
[1:03:47] and members of the President's Council on sports, fitness, and nutrition.
[1:03:52] We really have some incredible people.
[1:03:54] It's like a who's who.
[1:03:56] Bryson, how many do we have on the council total?
[1:03:58] Oh, it's got to be upwards of 30, actually.
[1:04:00] Yeah, a lot.
[1:04:01] And all top.
[1:04:03] Yes, sir.
[1:04:04] If they weren't really good, we don't allow them.
[1:04:07] You're going to be really good.
[1:04:08] Like Gary Player, as an example.
[1:04:11] He won 168 tournaments over a very average career.
[1:04:15] You know that.
[1:04:16] Think of it.
[1:04:17] He won 168 tournaments, 18 majors, 9 and 9 senior.
[1:04:22] He has more championships than anybody, national championships than anybody.
[1:04:28] And I played with him.
[1:04:30] He's very proud of it, actually.
[1:04:32] Played with him on his 90th birthday.
[1:04:34] He very easily, on a tough course, from 6,800 yards, he very easily shot a 70.
[1:04:42] And it was the easiest 70.
[1:04:44] And normally, if you shoot a 70 and you're 90, you'd run around so excited.
[1:04:49] Gary's like, all right, let's have a little lunch.
[1:04:53] I think he's the most unexcited human being I've ever seen.
[1:04:56] Because he's been doing it all his life.
[1:04:58] He's been winning the top three in history, in my opinion.
[1:05:01] I don't think it's my opinion.
[1:05:02] Just based on the record, Gary is top three.
[1:05:05] Jack and Tiger and Gary.
[1:05:07] Greatest golfer.
[1:05:08] So thanks for being here.
[1:05:09] And, as you know, we have the U.S. Open champion.
[1:05:14] And he won two U.S. Opens.
[1:05:16] But that last one was unbelievable.
[1:05:18] He had a, I think Gary, it's one of the greatest shots ever hit to win a U.S. Open, certainly.
[1:05:23] One of the top, they say one of the top three.
[1:05:25] I don't know what the other two are.
[1:05:27] But he hit an unbelievable sand shot.
[1:05:29] Sank a four and a half foot putt.
[1:05:31] And he won the U.S. Open.
[1:05:33] And he's been a great golfer from the day he was born.
[1:05:37] If you believe in genetics, because I do.
[1:05:40] But he won, you know, he won the U.S. amateur years ago.
[1:05:44] And he won it quite easily.
[1:05:46] But he's a great person and a great friend of mine.
[1:05:48] Bryson DeChambeau.
[1:05:51] And thank you, Bryson.
[1:05:52] And you're very much in charge of this whole operation.
[1:05:54] Yes, sir.
[1:05:54] He's so much into physical fitness.
[1:05:56] All you have to do is take a look at it.
[1:05:59] And you say, why is he even doing this?
[1:06:00] Because I think if you didn't work out at all, you'd still look almost like you do right now.
[1:06:07] But you are doing great.
[1:06:08] And everybody respects Bryson.
[1:06:10] He's the longest hitter in golf.
[1:06:12] And he's straight.
[1:06:13] And frankly, maybe the best part of his game, Gary, is he's a great putter.
[1:06:16] You played with him, right?
[1:06:18] And the asset to the guy.
[1:06:19] And he's a great asset.
[1:06:20] And he's a great person.
[1:06:22] And we have, along with the University of Florida's basketball coach, Todd Golden.
[1:06:28] Todd?
[1:06:29] Where's Todd?
[1:06:30] Todd?
[1:06:31] Hi, Todd.
[1:06:31] Great to see you, Mr. President.
[1:06:32] And what a job.
[1:06:33] By the way, what a job you've done.
[1:06:35] I see that.
[1:06:36] I'm a little busy to watch the games, but I always see your team is right up there.
[1:06:39] Yeah.
[1:06:39] You've done a fantastic job as a young guy, an American hockey hero, T.J. Oshie, who's one
[1:06:46] of the best hockey players in the world.
[1:06:49] T.J.?
[1:06:49] Good to be.
[1:06:51] Thanks for having me.
[1:06:51] How's your golf game?
[1:06:52] The hockey players, Bryson was saying, the hockey players seem to be the best of the athletes,
[1:06:58] seem to be the best golfers.
[1:07:00] It's the greatest game.
[1:07:01] Yeah, that's great.
[1:07:02] Fun play.
[1:07:03] And he's a good golfer.
[1:07:04] He's a three handicap, maybe better, right?
[1:07:05] That's very good.
[1:07:06] He'll work on the play.
[1:07:07] But stick to hockey.
[1:07:11] Yeah.
[1:07:11] That's great.
[1:07:17] What a career you've had, too, at a young age.
[1:07:20] And professional baseball pitcher, Noah Syndergaard, sometimes referred to as Thor.
[1:07:27] And he looks like Thor to me.
[1:07:30] That's some...
[1:07:30] Where is he?
[1:07:32] It's very hard to miss.
[1:07:34] He looks great.
[1:07:35] He looks great.
[1:07:36] And as a man, I wouldn't want to get into a fight with him, I can tell you.
[1:07:40] That would not be a good situation.
[1:07:41] Yeah.
[1:07:42] And this year we celebrate 250th anniversary of our country.
[1:07:47] And it's our nation's founding.
[1:07:50] It's a big deal.
[1:07:51] In addition, we have the World Cup, which has just now started.
[1:07:55] And we have the Olympics.
[1:07:56] I got them both.
[1:07:58] And I was very proud of myself.
[1:08:00] I tried to say I got the 250th also, but nobody...
[1:08:03] That didn't work out too well.
[1:08:05] But I did get both the World Cup and I got the Olympics.
[1:08:10] And I was very proud of that.
[1:08:12] But I was very sad, actually, because I got them in my first term.
[1:08:15] And I said, oh, wow, I'm not going to be able to go as president because they were in six years.
[1:08:23] So I wouldn't be president.
[1:08:25] And I thought I'd easily win the election, which, by the way, I did.
[1:08:28] And unfortunately, bad things happened.
[1:08:31] It was a rigged election.
[1:08:32] And I said, oh, I'll do it again.
[1:08:34] I had the ultimate poll.
[1:08:35] I did so well.
[1:08:37] And I had the ultimate poll.
[1:08:38] And we won in a landslide.
[1:08:39] We won every single swing state.
[1:08:42] We won the popular vote.
[1:08:43] We won everything you can win.
[1:08:45] We won 87% of the counties in the United States.
[1:08:49] And I ended up with the Olympics.
[1:08:51] And I ended up with the World Cup.
[1:08:52] And very importantly, maybe the most important, is we have the 250th anniversary.
[1:08:58] On June 14th, we're going to have the UFC in the biggest fight they've ever done by far.
[1:09:03] It's the hardest ticket I've ever been involved with.
[1:09:05] And they're building a 5,000-seat stadium right in the front of it, right by the front door of the White House.
[1:09:10] And then they're going to have anywhere from 75,000 to 100,000 people in the park right past the White House with eight tremendous screens.
[1:09:19] And then we have Roger Penske.
[1:09:22] So that's Dana White's dream, what that is.
[1:09:25] It's going to be amazing.
[1:09:26] And then we have Roger Penske.
[1:09:28] He's going to have a big championship Indy around the Capitol and the Indy races.
[1:09:35] And he's been trying to get it here for 25 years.
[1:09:38] And he said, I came to Washington exactly 121 times and I was never able to get it.
[1:09:42] I came once to see you and we had it done in a half an hour.
[1:09:46] And he's fantastic.
[1:09:47] He's won 20 Indianapolis 500s.
[1:09:51] Can you believe that?
[1:09:52] Other countries, and I say it all the time, I gave him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, like I gave to Gary, too, because of his career.
[1:10:00] And then Roger, on his 18th, I called him, I said, come on, I want to give you the president.
[1:10:06] You want 18?
[1:10:07] Japan, Germany, all these countries, they spend billions and billions of dollars.
[1:10:11] And it's very hard for them to win.
[1:10:14] They don't win very, very much.
[1:10:15] They spend all that money and Roger just wins it all the time.
[1:10:19] So I gave it to him on the 18th win.
[1:10:21] And since then, he's won.
[1:10:22] That was four years ago.
[1:10:23] Since then, he's won two more.
[1:10:25] So he's going to be here with the Indy cars and it's going to be the biggest race maybe ever.
[1:10:30] And they're going to be circling the Capitol.
[1:10:31] We have Pennsylvania Avenue closed down.
[1:10:35] And I said, do you like the course?
[1:10:37] He said, I love the course.
[1:10:38] I said, pick the best course.
[1:10:40] We'll get it for you.
[1:10:41] Don't go the easy way.
[1:10:42] Pick the best roads.
[1:10:44] I don't care.
[1:10:45] It doesn't matter.
[1:10:46] And he said, it's as good as you can get.
[1:10:49] And unfortunately, he picked the most important roads in the city, which is a little tougher.
[1:10:53] But we got it done for him quickly.
[1:10:55] And that's going to be in August.
[1:10:57] So we have a lot of really exciting things happening.
[1:11:00] So today, I sign a proclamation recognizing national youth sports and fitness.
[1:11:06] And I'll also sign the very first copy of the new revitalized presidential fitness test award, a certificate in recognition of achievement of the gold standard of physical fitness.
[1:11:17] And this is something that Bryson DeChambeau wanted to do very badly.
[1:11:23] Bryson's amazing.
[1:11:24] I mean, I say he's somebody that can put on 25, 30 at one point.
[1:11:29] I guess he put on almost 50 pounds.
[1:11:31] You remember, he looked like a linebacker.
[1:11:33] And he decided he didn't like himself at that weight.
[1:11:40] It was all muscle guy.
[1:11:41] It was crazy.
[1:11:41] He looked like a massive football player.
[1:11:44] You wouldn't want to play him at hockey.
[1:11:46] And he said he didn't like it.
[1:11:48] He developed too much speed.
[1:11:50] This is the problem with people.
[1:11:52] He had too much speed.
[1:11:53] He wanted to bring it down a little bit.
[1:11:55] So he lost it.
[1:11:55] He can put on weight, like up and down, like a yo-yo.
[1:11:59] And he doesn't take the shot, okay?
[1:12:03] He doesn't need the fat shot.
[1:12:05] He just, I said, do you ever take this shot?
[1:12:07] He didn't even know what the hell I was talking about.
[1:12:09] What shot?
[1:12:10] No, he can put it on.
[1:12:11] He's a scientist.
[1:12:12] He's like a scientist with his body.
[1:12:14] He's a great guy.
[1:12:15] And he's an absolute champion.
[1:12:18] So I appreciate it.
[1:12:19] But Bryson really wanted to bring it back.
[1:12:23] Because we are bringing it back.
[1:12:24] It's something that's a lot of people, the wrong people,
[1:12:28] probably were involved.
[1:12:29] I don't know.
[1:12:29] But this is a group of people that physical fitness is everything.
[1:12:33] Gary Player, by the way, you talk about golf.
[1:12:35] But he was always considered in the best shape of anybody.
[1:12:41] He was long ahead of the rest of the world.
[1:12:43] Now you see all these guys that have a 28-inch waist.
[1:12:46] They walk down like robots, right?
[1:12:48] But Gary was always, he was way, he was way ahead of everybody else.
[1:12:52] From the late 1950s until 2013, great schoolers across the country competed against each other
[1:12:59] in the presidential fitness test, but others.
[1:13:01] And then we had the Obama administration.
[1:13:04] Wonderful, wonderful person.
[1:13:06] Barack Hussein Obama.
[1:13:07] Have you heard of him?
[1:13:09] We had the Obama administration, which phased out this wonderful tradition of physical fitness.
[1:13:16] Thank you, Barack, very much.
[1:13:17] Great job.
[1:13:19] And we're bringing it back.
[1:13:20] We're bringing it back.
[1:13:21] My administration's working very hard to defend America's cherished athletic traditions
[1:13:26] and pass our values of excellence and competitiveness to the next generation.
[1:13:31] So important.
[1:13:33] We're working on historic reforms to save college sports.
[1:13:36] And we banned men from competing in women's sports.
[1:13:40] That was sort of an easy one.
[1:13:42] They say, you know, the radical left says, that's an 80-20 issue now.
[1:13:46] It's 99-1.
[1:13:48] They say 80-20.
[1:13:49] Who are the 20%?
[1:13:50] I've never met anybody.
[1:13:51] But nobody's ever come up, so I've been president for five years, and nobody's ever come up to me
[1:13:57] and say, sir, you have to allow men to play in women's sports, you know.
[1:14:02] I've never had one person say it's really important that we allow women to be challenged by men in women's sports.
[1:14:10] And it doesn't work.
[1:14:11] So we did that.
[1:14:12] And with the help of Secretary Kennedy, who's with us, we're striving constantly to make America healthy again.
[1:14:19] And that's what we're doing.
[1:14:21] We have unbelievable numbers coming.
[1:14:23] Bobby will mention it.
[1:14:25] We have unbelievable numbers coming.
[1:14:27] So these next few years will be a golden age for American sports, just like it's a golden age for America.
[1:14:33] You know, we hit an all-time high stock market today, despite that we're in a little skirmish military.
[1:14:38] I call it a skirmish because Iran has no chance.
[1:14:43] They never did.
[1:14:44] They know it.
[1:14:46] They express it to me when I talk to them.
[1:14:48] Then they get on television.
[1:14:49] They say how well they're doing.
[1:14:51] And they have no Navy, totally wiped out.
[1:14:55] They have no Air Force, totally wiped out.
[1:14:57] They have no anti-aircraft capability, totally wiped out, no radar.
[1:15:03] They have no leaders.
[1:15:05] The leaders are wiped out.
[1:15:06] The whole thing.
[1:15:07] And then I read the papers, and they say how well they're doing.
[1:15:11] They're not doing well.
[1:15:12] That's why you have no credibility.
[1:15:14] No credibility.
[1:15:16] The news, the fake news, there's no credibility.
[1:15:18] But the President's Cup, it's going to be something.
[1:15:22] And we're going to have that.
[1:15:23] We're going to do very special presentations to Johnny, who, as you know, is the commissioner.
[1:15:28] He's a fantastic person who runs the soccer.
[1:15:31] And if, I don't know if you know this, but, so more tickets have been sold earlier than at any World Cup they've ever had.
[1:15:41] And the numbers are more than double.
[1:15:42] They've never seen anything like it.
[1:15:44] So it's really a shock.
[1:15:45] I don't know if soccer has taken off or not taken off.
[1:15:47] But I can see.
[1:15:48] The World Cup is doing numbers like they've never done.
[1:15:51] They've never done anywhere close.
[1:15:53] And we have the Patriot Games in honor of our 250th anniversary this fall.
[1:15:58] It's going to be all on television.
[1:16:00] And with that, it's like the ones that we have here.
[1:16:03] We're going to continue to win, win, win.
[1:16:04] Our country is doing great.
[1:16:06] We're breaking records in every way.
[1:16:09] And I know it's too bad, but I had to do it.
[1:16:13] We can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon.
[1:16:16] You might be too young for this.
[1:16:18] I don't know if I want.
[1:16:18] They probably know better than most people.
[1:16:21] But you can't let a bunch of lunatics have a nuclear weapon.
[1:16:26] Or the world would be in trouble.
[1:16:27] The world would be in trouble.
[1:16:29] So we just hit records on the Dow.
[1:16:33] It was supposed to be done in five or six years.
[1:16:35] Somebody said it couldn't be possible to reach 50 on the Dow.
[1:16:39] And I reached 50 in the first year.
[1:16:42] And then I reached 7,000.
[1:16:44] And by the way, it just set a new record.
[1:16:46] The S&P just set a new record.
[1:16:48] It's much higher, 7,500.
[1:16:50] But they said even harder than 50 on the Dow is getting to 7,000 on the S&P.
[1:16:56] We did that by the end of the first year.
[1:16:58] All before the end of the first year.
[1:17:00] Gary, so think of that.
[1:17:01] They said we couldn't do it in four years.
[1:17:03] And we did it at the end of the first year.
[1:17:05] And then, you ever have this?
[1:17:07] And then I said, I called all my people in.
[1:17:09] I said, we just set every record in the book.
[1:17:12] The economy is going great.
[1:17:14] I ended eight wars.
[1:17:16] Nobody else ever ended a war.
[1:17:18] And the person that won the Nobel Prize, Maria, she's a good person.
[1:17:22] She said, I don't deserve this.
[1:17:23] This deserves to President Trump.
[1:17:26] There's never been a man that deserves a Nobel Prize.
[1:17:28] He ended eight wars, including India, Pakistan, which would have been a nuclear war.
[1:17:32] Eight of them.
[1:17:33] And I called everybody in, Gary, and I said, you know what?
[1:17:37] We just broke every record.
[1:17:40] And now we're going to take a hit because we have to make a journey down to Iran to take the nuclear weapon.
[1:17:46] They would have had a nuclear weapon within two weeks.
[1:17:50] Remember, we sent that beautiful B-2 bomber in and we blew up their nuclear potential.
[1:17:57] It was obliterated for those that are not aware.
[1:18:01] And to a point where it would take them weeks to dig down and we wouldn't let them dig down.
[1:18:06] We have our eyes on it all the time.
[1:18:08] But it was a very important thing.
[1:18:10] So we would have had an Iran with a nuclear weapon.
[1:18:16] And maybe we wouldn't all be here right now.
[1:18:19] I can tell you the Middle East would have been gone.
[1:18:21] Israel would have been gone.
[1:18:22] And they would have trained their sights on Europe first and then us because they're sick people.
[1:18:28] These are sick people.
[1:18:29] And we're not going to let lunatics have a nuclear weapon.
[1:18:33] The power of a nuclear weapon is something I don't even want to talk about.
[1:18:38] It's not going to happen.
[1:18:39] And we have beaten them badly.
[1:18:43] They're talking.
[1:18:44] Now they're reduced to little boats with a machine gun on the front of them because they had a Navy of 159 ships.
[1:18:50] Every single ship in the first week was, right, Pete?
[1:18:53] Every single ship they had is resting underwater, right, at the bottom of the sea.
[1:19:01] They have no Navy.
[1:19:02] It's totally wiped out.
[1:19:03] Same thing with their Air Force.
[1:19:05] So we're doing well.
[1:19:07] But it's all about, you know, having a great country.
[1:19:11] And one of the things I think that when they talk about physical fitness, one of the things I notice about friends of mine, all of the people, all of the great athletes here, is their mind is better than people that aren't fit.
[1:19:23] But it's because I think of mine, you know, once you once you hit a ball well or you do whatever it is that you run well, play hockey as great as you play it.
[1:19:33] But once you I mean, you obviously have to have a certain physicality.
[1:19:37] You can't have somebody with a great mind and zero to zero athletic talent.
[1:19:42] But when you get up to that league, it's all about the mind.
[1:19:45] The mind is so important.
[1:19:47] And these people express it, I think, better than anybody.
[1:19:50] So with that, I'd like to ask somebody that's done really an incredible job.
[1:19:55] He has got some group of people that love him, some big group of people.
[1:20:01] It was a it was a big day when he endorsed me for president.
[1:20:04] Very unusual because I happen to be a Republican.
[1:20:08] I would say that Republicans were not too big in the Kennedy family, but they're big now because he's the biggest.
[1:20:14] He's the biggest in the group.
[1:20:16] And everybody respects him a lot.
[1:20:19] He's doing a fantastic job.
[1:20:20] So, Bobby, would you say a few words, please?
[1:20:22] Thank you, Mr. President.
[1:20:24] When my almost immediately after my uncle was elected in 1960, 61, 60, he came across some federal data that showed that five percent of American kids were obese.
[1:20:39] And that was more than double the European number.
[1:20:42] And he became very concerned that Americans were becoming soft.
[1:20:46] And he published an article before his inauguration called The Soft American, in which he said that there's a national security issue.
[1:20:55] It threatens our our economy.
[1:20:58] We need a vigorous population that is in good shape spiritually, morally, physically if we're going to continue to exercise leadership around the world.
[1:21:06] And he launched the physical fitness test, which became a milestone for my generation, for several generations after me.
[1:21:15] It was an enduring rite of passage for us that everybody in my generation remembers.
[1:21:22] It was a benchmark also because we did pull-ups, sit-ups, shuttle runs, and a number of other events.
[1:21:30] And it was a benchmark for measuring national physical fitness.
[1:21:33] Around that time, my uncle came across correspondence between Teddy Roosevelt and the head of his, the commandant of his Marine Corps.
[1:21:46] And Teddy Roosevelt asked him, what are the metrics?
[1:21:49] What are the physical requirements for a Marine?
[1:21:52] And Roosevelt, or the commandant, wrote him back saying that a Marine had to walk 50 miles in a single day with a 30-pound pack.
[1:22:01] My uncle wrote a letter to his commandant and said, can today's Marines do the same thing?
[1:22:09] The following day, he had a cabinet meeting.
[1:22:12] It was on a Friday, and he had private cabinet meetings, unlike the ones that we have to go through here.
[1:22:18] My uncle was, I'll just say this, my uncle was proud.
[1:22:22] He was the first president that televised press conferences.
[1:22:26] And he was very proud.
[1:22:27] He did more press conferences than any president in history.
[1:22:30] He did 64 in his 1,000 days in office.
[1:22:34] This president does that every two months.
[1:22:36] He does a press conference every day.
[1:22:38] And our cabinet meetings, for better or for worse, are also televised.
[1:22:44] But it's the most transparent administration that we've ever seen and the most successful administration in history.
[1:22:50] He went into that cabinet meeting, that private cabinet meeting next morning, and he said to the cabinet, one of you has to do a 50-mile hike this weekend to show the American people that we're in shape.
[1:23:03] And he did this cabinet, and he did this cabinet, and we have a bunch of thoroughbreds in this cabinet.
[1:23:09] He, and Scott, and Sean Tuffy, and Linda, and Tulsi, and Doug Burgum, and Jameson, and all the rest.
[1:23:17] There's a lot of people who could probably do a 50-mile hike.
[1:23:19] What about me?
[1:23:20] You didn't mention mine.
[1:23:22] This guy walks nine miles of a golf course every weekend, so he could do it in the breeze.
[1:23:27] When I'm not using a car.
[1:23:28] My father was the only one who could do it, and he went into the Justice Department that night, and he had a bunch of guys in the Justice Department who were former Marines who had gone to Harvard on the GI Bill and played on the same football team.
[1:23:48] And he hired them all when he came into the Justice Department.
[1:23:52] And he said, you guys are going on a 50-mile hike with me tomorrow.
[1:23:54] And they got up at 4 a.m., and they started on the C&O to Hope path.
[1:24:00] It was really frozen.
[1:24:01] It was the middle of winter.
[1:24:03] And they were going to walk to Camp David.
[1:24:05] One by one, they each dropped out.
[1:24:07] My father was the only one that made it.
[1:24:10] The last guy to drop out was his best friend, and his name was Dave Hackett.
[1:24:15] And Dave Hackett's legs had swollen up, and he said, I've got to quit.
[1:24:19] And my father said, you're lucky your brother's not the President of the United States, because the press was following.
[1:24:24] And there was no way that my father would quit.
[1:24:27] And I was at Camp David that night.
[1:24:29] I watched him come in.
[1:24:30] His feet were bleeding.
[1:24:31] They were covered with blisters.
[1:24:33] And it was part of the message that President Kennedy wanted to send the American people.
[1:24:38] If we were going to maintain our national authority, our national, our international leadership,
[1:24:44] moral authority as a nation, that we had to pay attention to our physical condition.
[1:24:52] A physical fitness test was a critical part of that.
[1:24:55] And I think it's very unfortunate that President Obama and President Biden abandoned it.
[1:25:00] They said competition is not good for kids, which is not true.
[1:25:04] If we're going to be competitive internationally, we need to be competitive with each other.
[1:25:08] We need to teach people how to win and how to lose and how to process victory and defeat.
[1:25:16] And today, since that time, the presidency has presided over the worst public health crisis in history.
[1:25:26] We're now the sickest nation in the world.
[1:25:30] We've gone from 5% of our kids being obese to 20%.
[1:25:33] 70% of adults are obese or overweight.
[1:25:37] And 77% of our children cannot qualify for military service.
[1:25:43] And that should be an eye-opener for all of us.
[1:25:46] And I'm so grateful to President Trump for his leadership and his vision of reinstituting the physical fitness test
[1:25:54] and challenging Americans to compete with each other in a friendly, congenial way
[1:26:00] and to help each other get in shape so that we can prepare for a great future
[1:26:06] that this administration is going to provide for this country.
[1:26:10] That was so great.
[1:26:17] Bobby, do you ever see a picture of Bobby working out?
[1:26:20] It's like, you guys, I said, you've got to be kidding me.
[1:26:24] He's in great shape.
[1:26:26] I didn't know that about your father.
[1:26:27] That's very impressive, huh?
[1:26:28] Did he work out a lot?
[1:26:30] He was a great dad.
[1:26:31] He was an athlete.
[1:26:33] He was always in good shape.
[1:26:34] He played sports every weekend.
[1:26:37] Was he, your uncle was a great athlete, too.
[1:26:40] Was he a very good athlete?
[1:26:41] My father was the only one of the brothers that led it in football.
[1:26:46] Jack was a swimmer, which allowed him to save his crewmates when his ship went down
[1:26:51] and off the Solomon Islands.
[1:26:56] So he was able to swim, drag one of his shipmates to shore because he'd been on the swim team.
[1:27:01] It's a great story.
[1:27:02] Very interesting.
[1:27:03] Bobby, that was very good.
[1:27:04] It was quite interesting.
[1:27:06] You know, usually people are sort of wandering along as people speak,
[1:27:10] but not when Gresham speaks, but when Gresham speaks.
[1:27:12] Why don't you start it?
[1:27:13] Yeah, Secretary Kennedy, thank you for those inspiring words from your uncle,
[1:27:17] and thank you to the President of the United States for helping reestablish this Presidential Fitness Test.
[1:27:23] It's been something that we've been looking forward to doing for a long time.
[1:27:26] Since 2013, I remember going through the Presidential Fitness Test as a kid and getting that award,
[1:27:31] and it was quite an honor.
[1:27:32] So being up here and a part of that is quite instrumental
[1:27:35] and going to be amazing for our nation's future.
[1:27:39] Reestablishing the golden standard of the Presidential Fitness Test has been a huge deal for me,
[1:27:45] is that these kids now are going to have a healthy future.
[1:27:48] That's really an important thing for us to note here is that, you know,
[1:27:52] we want to make sure our kids have the best opportunity to succeed in life,
[1:27:56] and not only from their mind, but their health and their well-being.
[1:28:00] Their physical fitness is a huge priority to helping them become better human beings in general for our nation.
[1:28:08] And so what's quite honestly cool is Secretary Hegseth here has allowed us to be involved in over 160 schools' military bases
[1:28:19] with DOEA and institutionalizing this Presidential Fitness Test in those schools.
[1:28:25] So I have to say thank you so much for helping establish that,
[1:28:28] and hopefully here soon we can do that across the nation,
[1:28:31] which we believe will have a tremendous effect on these kids and their future.
[1:28:36] So I just wanted to say thank you to the President,
[1:28:39] thank you to the Cabinet members for everything you've done,
[1:28:41] and we're going to go out there and have a great day on the field
[1:28:44] and give these kids some fun things to go and play with,
[1:28:47] whether it's football, soccer, some dudes of pull-ups.
[1:28:50] Can you guys do pull-ups?
[1:28:51] No?
[1:28:52] We'll help you.
[1:28:53] We'll help you.
[1:28:54] But that's a part of the Presidential Fitness Test is aspiring to help these kids
[1:28:57] become a better version of themselves,
[1:28:59] and that's what I couldn't be more excited to be a part of.
[1:29:01] I want to say thank you to the athletes that are here today and to Gary Blair.
[1:29:03] He's always been an inspiration to me,
[1:29:06] and albeit I'll never get to your record,
[1:29:08] I thank you for giving me aspirations to hopefully get one-eighth of what you have.
[1:29:13] So thank you.
[1:29:14] And lastly, I just want to say to the kids,
[1:29:16] the most important thing you can do is always get 1% better a day.
[1:29:20] That's the most important thing I can give you guys.
[1:29:22] Try to be a better version of yourself every day
[1:29:24] because one day you could be up here as well.
[1:29:27] You could be up here as well.
[1:29:28] So thank you, Mr. President.
[1:29:29] Thank you, everybody, for being here,
[1:29:30] and I can't wait to see what we can do out there today.
[1:29:35] Thank you, Bryson.
[1:29:38] And this is really for Bryson because he's worked so hard on this.
[1:29:41] He's really put it together.
[1:29:44] He's got the best athletes in the world.
[1:29:46] I think it's actually 41 or 42.
[1:29:49] And all top people, all big names, top people,
[1:29:52] and they all want to do it.
[1:29:54] And Bryson, I was given a little idea by Bobby.
[1:29:57] He mentioned Camp David, and it's a special place.
[1:30:01] And I think we should have our next meeting,
[1:30:03] the full meeting at Camp David.
[1:30:05] Sounds great.
[1:30:06] It's like a very special place.
[1:30:08] So we'll do that.
[1:30:10] I'd love to have Gary say a few words.
[1:30:12] He's won 168 tournaments.
[1:30:15] Think of it.
[1:30:16] That means he won every weekend.
[1:30:17] I say, well, when did you not win?
[1:30:19] It's a record I think that will never be broken.
[1:30:21] And he won 18 majors, 9 senior and 9 regular,
[1:30:25] and many other things.
[1:30:26] And he is a very special guy.
[1:30:29] And, you know, if you think about the power of positive thinking,
[1:30:32] I don't know if Gary has the time,
[1:30:34] but he is the youngest winner of the British Open,
[1:30:37] what they call now the Open Championship.
[1:30:40] And he won it when he was 23, I think, Gary, right?
[1:30:44] 23.
[1:30:45] If you want, you could tell that story,
[1:30:47] because these are all people that love sports and they love golf.
[1:30:50] But the way you asked you'd like to practice,
[1:30:53] my name is Gary Player.
[1:30:54] And from South Africa, you're not giving me the time to practice.
[1:30:58] I must practice on this course.
[1:31:00] And the people thought, who is this?
[1:31:03] He said, you don't understand.
[1:31:04] I'm going to win this tournament.
[1:31:05] They never heard of him.
[1:31:06] He came out of South Africa.
[1:31:07] He's winning everything.
[1:31:09] He won the South African Open like 14 times or something.
[1:31:12] It's incredible.
[1:31:13] But if you want to tell that story, I think it's a fabulous story.
[1:31:16] But as a man with a powerful, it's really the power of positive thinking.
[1:31:22] Go ahead, Gary.
[1:31:23] Well, Mr. President, first of all, thank you very much for having us and hosting this today.
[1:31:28] I've been around almost every president for the last 65 years.
[1:31:32] And I've never seen a president who loves this country as much.
[1:31:36] They all did.
[1:31:37] And they all did great works.
[1:31:38] But I've never seen a president who loves the country as much as you do.
[1:31:42] And I say thank you, because I've traveled more miles than any human being before without being repetitive.
[1:31:49] And I've never seen a country like this.
[1:31:51] The freedom that exists, which is so important to all of us.
[1:31:54] And you know, sport can change the world, can give people a chance that don't have any hope, but can give them hope.
[1:32:01] As we've seen, many people with little education have become world champions.
[1:32:06] Only in America have you got that opportunity.
[1:32:09] And the other thing is, to Mr. Kennedy, who I have absolute utmost respect for.
[1:32:15] You know, my great dream now, I'm finished with tournament golf.
[1:32:19] My great dream is for the youth of America, the youth of a nation, or the trustees of posterity.
[1:32:24] These are the people that are going to be the future champions.
[1:32:28] And when I talk, I always talk about the importance of fitness.
[1:32:32] It's so important.
[1:32:33] Please, can we bring it back in the schools?
[1:32:36] And as Senator Kennedy has so aptly said, to eat properly.
[1:32:41] This is so important, what you put in your body.
[1:32:45] And the big thing that I wish, and I pray every day, and wherever I talk, and I do a lot of talking,
[1:32:50] I say to the young people, just love this country.
[1:32:53] Because you don't realize what's going on around the world.
[1:32:57] Even the students of the great universities of America really don't understand what's happening around the world today.
[1:33:05] There is a silent war taking place against America today.
[1:33:09] And what we've got to do is make these kids realize that freedom, and exercise, and education.
[1:33:16] Start reading some books.
[1:33:18] Yes, keep your phone, but also read some good books.
[1:33:21] And listen to what Mr. Kennedy has said.
[1:33:23] What you put in your body is so important.
[1:33:26] What a wonderful job he's done.
[1:33:28] And all your cabinet members, of which I say thank you for maintaining this great word, this cherished word, freedom.
[1:33:35] Thank you very much, Gary.
[1:33:37] And Gary is way ahead of his time, always.
[1:33:40] How many masters did you play, Gary?
[1:33:42] The record, I think.
[1:33:43] 52.
[1:33:43] 52.
[1:33:45] Think of it.
[1:33:47] You had to qualify.
[1:33:48] After you won it, how many times did you win it?
[1:33:51] Three.
[1:33:51] Right.
[1:33:52] So when you win it three, you get to play a little bit.
[1:33:54] But most of the time you had to qualify.
[1:33:57] But 52 matches, it's amazing.
[1:34:01] And did well in every single one of them.
[1:34:04] Pete, could I ask you to say a few words?
[1:34:07] Sure.
[1:34:07] Yes, sir.
[1:34:07] You could maybe speak a little bit about a subject that they want to hear about also if you want.
[1:34:12] But just say a few words.
[1:34:15] Absolutely, sir.
[1:34:15] Well, fitness, standards, competition, that's what we're all about at the War Department.
[1:34:22] So bringing those things to education is something I remember as a kid.
[1:34:26] I mean, the Presidential Physical Fitness Award was the pinnacle event at Forest Lake Elementary School every year.
[1:34:33] And I wanted to be the best.
[1:34:34] And I wasn't, but I worked my tail off every year to try to get there.
[1:34:38] Pull-ups, push-ups.
[1:34:38] I couldn't do the V-sit and reach.
[1:34:40] I could never beat that one.
[1:34:41] But I remember it because it was something my country clearly elevated as important.
[1:34:46] We should be in shape.
[1:34:48] We should compete.
[1:34:50] And there's winners and there's losers.
[1:34:52] That we need to infuse into our young people.
[1:34:54] And obviously, it takes young people to run a military.
[1:34:57] And as the Secretary pointed out, almost three-fourths of American young people do not qualify for military service.
[1:35:03] And a lot of that has to do with their physical fitness.
[1:35:06] So we're proud at the War Department to put this first into Department of War education activity.
[1:35:11] Our schools, 161 of them, across 30 installations.
[1:35:14] It's going to be mandatory for the young kids of those service members who use those schools.
[1:35:20] And we hope that's a pilot for all of American education.
[1:35:23] We hope the rest of America follows.
[1:35:25] We need young, strong, healthy Americans, whether you serve in the military or any other aspect of your life.
[1:35:31] And I think this presidential fitness test, Mr. President, is a great, a perfect thing to restore.
[1:35:37] That sets those standards high for young people and something for them to achieve.
[1:35:40] The idea that competition is bad is the beginning of the decline of a nation.
[1:35:44] Competition is critical to who we are and ensuring America stays on top.
[1:35:49] And speaking of staying on top, Mr. President, we are, as we talked about this morning, Project Freedom is ongoing.
[1:35:55] We're ensuring that we have control of that strength, which we do.
[1:35:58] And ultimately, Iran has a choice to make.
[1:36:00] And they know we're in the strong position.
[1:36:01] We hope they make a wise choice.
[1:36:02] And nobody better to make that deal, Mr. President, than you.
[1:36:05] Thank you very much, Jackson.
[1:36:06] Thank you.
[1:36:06] You're doing a great job.
[1:36:08] A man who's in a very – you talk about athletes.
[1:36:11] This is a very serious athlete.
[1:36:12] Happens to be in charge of a little thing called housing.
[1:36:16] Yes, sir.
[1:36:16] Thank you, Mr. President, and thank you to all the great athletes and ambassadors that are here and to the kids that are here.
[1:36:25] You know, that word competition, I made a living competing, you know, and being in the top physical fitness that I could be in playing in the National Football League.
[1:36:34] And one thing I want to remind the kids and really our country is competition brings out the best in us, be it in sport, be it in business, be it in education.
[1:36:44] And you always want to be the best you can be, as Bryson said, every single day getting better.
[1:36:50] And I'm grateful that I had an opportunity to play in the National Football League.
[1:36:55] But it taught me how to be a good teammate.
[1:36:57] It taught me how to be humble in victory and to be steadfast, you know, in defeat.
[1:37:02] As all these great athletes know, and, Mr. President, thank you for just your leadership in our country, but also for this important issue of having physically healthy children and a physically healthy nation.
[1:37:14] And, Bobby, thank you for reminding us of your uncle and your father of how important it is for us to be, to look at the man holistically, spiritually, morally, physically, mentally.
[1:37:26] And I think America historically has been the leader in all of those areas, but we are at a critical function in our nation.
[1:37:33] And so I would encourage everyone, this transcends politics, you know, physical fitness is good for every man and woman and child in the United States of America.
[1:37:42] So, Mr. President, I'm committed to this.
[1:37:45] I've seen the benefits of it in my own personal life.
[1:37:48] My family and my cabinet colleagues are 100% behind this.
[1:37:52] And so I would encourage all the young people of America, parents, teachers, educators, to take inventory and hear what these leaders are saying about the national security of our country and make sure that we're encouraging our young people to get out, get your hands dirty, get your knees going, get on the monkey bars, start running and jumping and playing together.
[1:38:11] Because if you're a good teammate, the stronger team we are, the stronger country we are.
[1:38:16] So, thank you, sir.
[1:38:16] Well, thank you.
[1:38:18] I have to just say we have a star named Linda McMahon, and she's made a tremendous amount of money on sports.
[1:38:28] They are great athletes, in my opinion.
[1:38:31] WWE, her great husband.
[1:38:35] What they built is incredible.
[1:38:36] They sold it for a fortune.
[1:38:38] Billions and billions of dollars.
[1:38:40] You made more than Bryson and Gary.
[1:38:43] Have you had enough?
[1:38:44] Would you say a few words?
[1:38:45] And she's one of our greats.
[1:38:46] She is a phenomenal person.
[1:38:49] Go ahead.
[1:38:50] Well, that intro is a hard act to follow.
[1:38:52] But I think what we really are – we've talked a lot about fitness, and I think that's incredibly important because that's what all this is about.
[1:38:59] But, you know, the Greeks had an axiom, sound mind and a sound body.
[1:39:04] So, as Secretary of Education, clearly, I want all of our schools to be able to adopt, you know, these programs.
[1:39:11] We don't control curriculum from the Department of Education, but I sincerely hope the emphasis that is being refocused on kids and being fit and being able to compete.
[1:39:23] That's what you've said, Pete.
[1:39:24] All of us are saying the same thing.
[1:39:25] But let's not forget, it's about also a sound mind and a sound body.
[1:39:30] In order to have a sound mind, you do have to eat well, you do have to exercise, you do have to train, and you do have to be fit to do that.
[1:39:38] And if we all are, we are the best of who we can be.
[1:39:41] So, I encourage all of you to enjoy playing and competing and being good sports, you know, while you're doing.
[1:39:48] But don't forget, you're studying all of your academics because it is all part of the total package.
[1:39:54] Thank you, Linda.
[1:39:55] Great job.
[1:39:56] Appreciate it.
[1:39:57] So, and we have a couple of other guys.
[1:39:59] If you guys wanted to say anything, or we'll just take some questions.
[1:40:02] And if you'd like, you could ask the big guy how fast did he go.
[1:40:05] He threw it very fast.
[1:40:07] He's very scary.
[1:40:08] It's scary.
[1:40:09] And you want to say something?
[1:40:10] I guess I'll just reiterate the thanks, Mr. President.
[1:40:13] Thank you, the Cabinet members, for this opportunity to be here.
[1:40:17] Thank you, Bryson, for allowing me to be in this elite company of people.
[1:40:20] It's a pleasure to meet all of you guys.
[1:40:22] Let me look at you.
[1:40:23] You're in the bottom of the physical space.
[1:40:25] He is seriously.
[1:40:28] Seriously.
[1:40:30] And, Coach, you've done great at Florida.
[1:40:32] Thank you very much.
[1:40:33] No, it's an incredible honor to be here.
[1:40:34] This is something that I'm passionate about, and I think it's imperative that we're doing this for our youth right now.
[1:40:40] Through experience, my wife and I have two young kids, nine and seven.
[1:40:44] They're very active, very athletic.
[1:40:46] But I can see some of their classmates and some of their teammates, you know, staring at screens all day.
[1:40:51] And, again, as I said, it's really important that we do this now.
[1:40:54] And not only will I think this will improve the overall physical health of our young people,
[1:40:58] but I think it will also help the mental health of our young people as well.
[1:41:01] And just in case you don't know, he is a coach who just came to a team and just took it right from the beginning here.
[1:41:07] Just an unbelievable job you've done.
[1:41:09] Thank you very much.
[1:41:10] You're a very rich guy.
[1:41:13] I want to represent you.
[1:41:15] Congratulations.
[1:41:20] Who's going to win in hockey?
[1:41:23] This is Huffman.
[1:41:23] Colorado's a favorite.
[1:41:25] I like Minnesota, though.
[1:41:26] All right.
[1:41:26] We're going to watch.
[1:41:27] Okay.
[1:41:27] We're going to watch.
[1:41:28] Great job.
[1:41:29] Thank you.
[1:41:30] Great job you've done.
[1:41:30] Thank you.
[1:41:31] And we're going to go outside.
[1:41:32] Did you want to ask a few questions of any of the people here?
[1:41:36] Please.
[1:41:36] Can I ask you about Iran, Mr. President?
[1:41:38] Yes.
[1:41:39] They've fired at U.S. ships several times in the last 24 hours.
[1:41:43] What do they need to do to violate the ceasefire?
[1:41:48] Well, you'll find out because I'll let you know.
[1:41:51] They know what to do and they know what to do.
[1:41:53] They know what not to do, more importantly, actually.
[1:41:56] And, you know, they fired them in little boats with pea shooters, you know,
[1:42:02] the pea shooters, a little boat with a little, you know why?
[1:42:05] Because they don't have any boats anymore.
[1:42:06] Their Navy is comprised of, they call them little boats, right?
[1:42:10] Fast boats or little boats.
[1:42:11] And they're fast, yeah.
[1:42:12] They're so fast that they had eight of them and they're all gone.
[1:42:17] And they're fast, but they're not fast like a missile.
[1:42:20] A missile is slightly faster.
[1:42:23] They're all gone.
[1:42:24] So they're looking around for little boats to try and compete with our great Navy.
[1:42:28] We have a Navy that's unbelievable.
[1:42:30] You know, we set up a blockade, as you know very well,
[1:42:32] not one ship.
[1:42:34] A couple tried and they got their engine shut out.
[1:42:38] You remember, I think it was one of them.
[1:42:42] It was a great display.
[1:42:44] A ship wanted to go through, break the blockade.
[1:42:47] They were warned not to.
[1:42:49] And then they were warned again by a young Annapolis captain of the ship
[1:42:53] with a great look, central casting.
[1:42:56] These people are central casting, I'll tell you.
[1:42:58] And he said, don't do it.
[1:43:00] Then he said, evacuate your engine room with this unbelievable loudspeaker that goes over
[1:43:04] water.
[1:43:06] He said, you have 10 seconds.
[1:43:07] And then from four miles with one bullet, it went right into the engine.
[1:43:13] And Gary, the ship stopped very quickly.
[1:43:17] They hit the engine with one ship.
[1:43:19] It wasn't a missile.
[1:43:19] They don't want to waste a missile on it.
[1:43:21] It's too easy.
[1:43:21] And we had another one, a 2000, one of the biggest ships in the world.
[1:43:27] They were warned.
[1:43:30] And he said, go back now.
[1:43:32] Go back right now.
[1:43:34] You will be shot at within 10 seconds.
[1:43:40] Yes, yes.
[1:43:40] I am going back to Iran.
[1:43:42] I am going back.
[1:43:43] And that was the end of that.
[1:43:44] He went, it took him 10 miles.
[1:43:47] The ship was so big.
[1:43:49] But they respect us.
[1:43:50] They didn't used to respect us.
[1:43:52] But they respect us more than we've ever been respected.
[1:43:55] Our country now is the hottest country anywhere in the world.
[1:43:58] We had a country that was dead when we had that group of people that ran this country with
[1:44:03] their open borders, letting anybody come in from the Congo, from countries all over the
[1:44:08] world.
[1:44:08] They came in from prisons and mental institutions.
[1:44:11] We had a country that would have been a deadhead.
[1:44:13] If they won the election, this country would have been a dead country.
[1:44:16] Now we have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
[1:44:20] Go ahead.
[1:44:20] Thank you, Mr. President.
[1:44:21] You said recently that if Iran, Iranians were armed, they could take over their regime.
[1:44:26] Do you plan to arm them soon?
[1:44:28] Well, I don't want to say that.
[1:44:29] But yeah, I mean, people say, why aren't they protesting?
[1:44:33] They want to protest.
[1:44:34] But they don't have any guns.
[1:44:36] So you can have 200,000 people protesting and have five or six sick people with guns.
[1:44:42] And when they start shooting them right between the eyes and you see a guy fall and another
[1:44:46] one fall and you have no guns, very few people would be able to stand there.
[1:44:52] I mean, I understand.
[1:44:53] I tell them not to.
[1:44:54] Don't forget, they killed 42,000 people last month, 42,000 unarmed protesters.
[1:45:02] They have no guns.
[1:45:03] So they had a 250,000 people crowd and they had snipers.
[1:45:08] They had like four or five snipers in buildings up high.
[1:45:11] And you're standing there and all of a sudden the guy on your left goes down and somebody.
[1:45:16] That's what happened with a woman protest.
[1:45:18] They had 200,000 women protesting a year ago.
[1:45:22] And everyone thought that was the end of Iran.
[1:45:24] And then all of a sudden, a woman dropped dead with a bullet right there, always right there.
[1:45:32] And another woman dropped.
[1:45:34] And then the word started to spread.
[1:45:36] And then there was panic.
[1:45:37] And then they ran.
[1:45:38] And, you know, I don't want that to happen.
[1:45:42] We don't need that.
[1:45:43] You know, we don't need it.
[1:45:44] But the only reason that they want to protest so badly, but they don't have weapons.
[1:45:48] Yeah.
[1:45:49] Thank you, Mr. President.
[1:45:50] Next week, you have a very important meeting with President Xi in Beijing.
[1:45:53] Secretary Besant has said that a top priority on the agenda will be Iran.
[1:45:58] What do you help to achieve with President Xi as it relates to Iran?
[1:46:03] Well, I have a very good relationship with President Xi.
[1:46:06] I find him to be a tremendous guy.
[1:46:09] And we get along well.
[1:46:12] And you see how we do.
[1:46:13] We're doing a lot of business with China and making a lot of money.
[1:46:15] We're making a lot of money.
[1:46:17] It's different than it used to be.
[1:46:19] But I'll be talking about that.
[1:46:21] That'll be one subject.
[1:46:22] But he's been very nice about this.
[1:46:24] You know, in all fairness, he gets like 60 percent of his oil from hormones.
[1:46:29] And he's been I think he's been very respectful.
[1:46:32] We haven't been challenged by China.
[1:46:34] They don't challenge us.
[1:46:35] And he wouldn't do that.
[1:46:37] I don't think he'd do that because of me.
[1:46:39] But I think he's been very respectful.
[1:46:43] And we've offered, you know, if he wants to send the ships to the United States.
[1:46:46] I think one of the big things that's happened is I made a statement.
[1:46:50] Send your ships to Texas.
[1:46:52] It's not that much further.
[1:46:54] Send your ships to Louisiana.
[1:46:56] Send your ships to Alaska.
[1:46:57] Alaska is actually very close to a lot of the Asian countries.
[1:47:02] People don't realize it.
[1:47:03] You know, Japan is back and forth.
[1:47:05] It's like it doesn't seem it, but it's a very short route.
[1:47:08] Two days shorter than almost any other route.
[1:47:11] We're making tremendous big deals with South Korea and with Japan.
[1:47:15] But I said send your ships all of a sudden.
[1:47:17] I don't know if you saw the graph today.
[1:47:18] This is Space Force, which I created.
[1:47:21] Space Force has they just sent out some photos of the ships that are lined up all the way down the ocean.
[1:47:31] Like like it's a highway.
[1:47:33] It looks like the Long Island Expressway for ships.
[1:47:35] And they're all heading to Texas, Louisiana.
[1:47:38] We've made up this.
[1:47:39] And that's why when I when I decided that I have to do this for the good of the world, not just the United States.
[1:47:45] In a way, we would have been in less trouble than a lot of other places.
[1:47:49] Certainly the Middle East would have been blown up.
[1:47:51] There wouldn't be a Middle East anymore.
[1:47:52] They would have controlled.
[1:47:53] They would have taken over the Middle East.
[1:47:55] Now, now they're trying to survive and they won't be successful unless they make a deal.
[1:48:00] Oh, they don't make a deal.
[1:48:01] They won't be successful.
[1:48:02] They'll go very quickly and methodically.
[1:48:04] Believe me, it would be very easy.
[1:48:06] But we have so many alternatives.
[1:48:10] It's amazing.
[1:48:11] And nobody knew this, you know, because as an example, Japan got 90 percent of their oil, most of their energy, but most of their oil from the Homo Strait.
[1:48:23] South Korea got 43 percent of it.
[1:48:25] By the way, their ship was shot at.
[1:48:26] They were not in the cavalcade of ships.
[1:48:28] They had they decided to go it alone and their ship got the hell knocked out of it yesterday.
[1:48:34] But they didn't shoot the ships that were guarded by us.
[1:48:37] I'll tell you that we knocked down a lot of missiles.
[1:48:39] So what happens is that we have a situation where we have total control.
[1:48:44] As you know, the blockade's been amazing.
[1:48:47] It's like a piece of steel.
[1:48:49] Nobody's going to challenge a blockade.
[1:48:51] And I think it's working out very well.
[1:48:53] We're going to see.
[1:48:54] I can say this.
[1:48:55] Iran wants to make a deal.
[1:48:58] What I don't like about Iran is they'll talk to me with such great respect.
[1:49:02] And then they'll go on television.
[1:49:04] They'll say, we did not speak to the president.
[1:49:07] We did not.
[1:49:08] I just spoke to.
[1:49:09] We did not speak to the president.
[1:49:12] So they play games.
[1:49:14] Let me just tell you, they want to make a deal.
[1:49:17] And who wouldn't when your military is totally gone?
[1:49:21] We could do anything we want to them.
[1:49:23] Who wouldn't?
[1:49:24] Please.
[1:49:24] On the filibuster, Mr. President, you posted a lot about wanting to eliminate the filibuster.
[1:49:29] It hasn't happened.
[1:49:30] Are you disappointed in leadership?
[1:49:32] No, I'm disappointed.
[1:49:33] I like John a lot.
[1:49:35] But, you know, he has a couple of Republicans that are foolish people.
[1:49:40] A couple of them I like.
[1:49:41] A couple of them I can't stand, actually, if you want to know the truth.
[1:49:44] Although I do.
[1:49:45] I am at, according to CNN, 100% approval within the Republican Party.
[1:49:51] That's almost, that's better than your record.
[1:49:54] I'm at 100% approval.
[1:49:57] Did you see the CNN poll?
[1:49:58] Nobody talks about it.
[1:49:59] CNN, I think the people that did that poll probably got fired.
[1:50:02] But within the Republican Party and MAGA, which is basically 100% of the party, I think, but 100%.
[1:50:09] No, I think that you're going to see some very interesting things.
[1:50:14] The filibuster, if you had it, we should have the Save America Act.
[1:50:17] We should have voter identification, voter ID.
[1:50:21] We should have proof of citizenship.
[1:50:23] We should have mail-in voting for the military and people that need it, but not for everybody.
[1:50:28] Because anytime you have mail-in voting, they're going to cheat.
[1:50:32] And they cheat like dogs.
[1:50:33] And they have to cheat.
[1:50:34] You know, in all fairness to the Democrats, when you have men and women's sports, when you have open borders, when you have transgender mutilization, don't listen to this, kids, of your children, of your children, transgender mutilization of your children for everyone.
[1:50:52] When you have policies like that, you have to cheat.
[1:50:57] It's the only way they can win.
[1:50:58] And we shouldn't allow them to cheat.
[1:51:01] And we should terminate the filibuster.
[1:51:03] Because if they get the chance, they'll do it in the first hour back.
[1:51:07] Mr. President, thank you.
[1:51:08] Iran is seeing 50% inflation.
[1:51:10] They've moved money from their sovereign wealth.
[1:51:11] Their economy is crashing.
[1:51:13] Would you allow their financial system then to fail?
[1:51:17] Well, I guess so, because we'll make it fail.
[1:51:19] Is that what it takes?
[1:51:20] I hope it fails.
[1:51:21] Is that what it takes?
[1:51:21] You know why?
[1:51:22] Because I want to win.
[1:51:23] Well, no.
[1:51:24] It takes getting pounded on by the military, I think, for more.
[1:51:28] But in addition to that, it is failing.
[1:51:32] You know, we have sanctions on them.
[1:51:34] Tremendous sanctions.
[1:51:35] Scott Besson's done a great job.
[1:51:37] We have sanctions that nobody's ever seen before.
[1:51:40] No.
[1:51:40] They're failing.
[1:51:42] Their currency is worthless.
[1:51:44] Their inflation is probably 150%.
[1:51:47] The real number is 150%.
[1:51:49] They aren't paying their soldiers.
[1:51:53] They can't pay their soldiers.
[1:51:55] The money is worthless.
[1:51:57] No, they should do the smart thing, you know.
[1:51:59] They should do the smart thing.
[1:52:00] And because we don't want to go in and kill people, really.
[1:52:04] I don't want to.
[1:52:05] I don't want to.
[1:52:06] It's too tough.
[1:52:07] Great people.
[1:52:08] I know the people.
[1:52:09] I have so many Iranian friends from New York and from other places over the years.
[1:52:13] They're great people.
[1:52:14] I don't want to kill those guys.
[1:52:16] Mr. President, obviously, there was a shooting incident yesterday.
[1:52:19] Is it possible that you can talk about that?
[1:52:20] Yeah, gas prices in the United States are $1.48 a gallon.
[1:52:25] You said they would come back down.
[1:52:27] Will Project Freedom...
[1:52:28] They'll drop lower than they were before.
[1:52:29] Will Project Freedom, supporting those ships, make that happen?
[1:52:32] Well, it will because, so people don't realize, some of these tankers hold two million barrels.
[1:52:40] One of them holds four.
[1:52:41] I think it's the largest one in the world.
[1:52:43] That sucker is big.
[1:52:45] I've never seen anything like it.
[1:52:46] A ship is bigger than aircraft carriers.
[1:52:49] And, yeah, it has a big impact.
[1:52:52] It's so much.
[1:52:53] You know, there are like 400 ships in there.
[1:52:55] 400.
[1:52:56] That in itself.
[1:52:57] Now, the best is when it ends and just neutralizes.
[1:53:00] But what's happening is people are learning to buy oil from the United States.
[1:53:05] I mean, they're making the trip.
[1:53:07] And they have safer...
[1:53:08] Probably it's a better product, too, by the way.
[1:53:11] But they have...
[1:53:13] They're learning to buy...
[1:53:14] They're changing their habits.
[1:53:16] So when I did this, I thought the market would go down 25%.
[1:53:19] And I think...
[1:53:20] I thought that was a great deal if it did.
[1:53:22] If it went down 25%, I was satisfied.
[1:53:24] I said, because we cannot let these people have a nuclear weapon.
[1:53:28] They'll use it.
[1:53:29] We can't.
[1:53:29] I also thought oil would go up to 200, 250, maybe 300.
[1:53:33] And I know it would be short-term.
[1:53:35] But I thought it would go...
[1:53:38] I look today, it's like at 102.
[1:53:41] And that's a very small price to pay for getting rid of a nuclear weapon from people that are really mentally deranged.
[1:53:51] Yeah.
[1:53:52] President, just on politics.
[1:53:54] The world is...
[1:53:54] By the way, other presidents should have done this.
[1:53:58] 47 years, they've been toying with these stupid people.
[1:54:03] In many cases, stupid people.
[1:54:05] They should have been done by Obama.
[1:54:07] He went the other way.
[1:54:08] He was giving them cash.
[1:54:09] He sent plane loads.
[1:54:10] Because a Boeing 757 took the seats out and put green, green cash, 1.7 billion in the plane.
[1:54:19] Every bank in Virginia, D.C. and Maryland was stripped of their cash.
[1:54:25] They took out all the cash from the banks.
[1:54:27] They put it into a plane, a Boeing 757 packed with cash, and they flew it to Iran and they let these guys just...
[1:54:36] I don't know what the hell they did with it, but they took it and then gave them billions and billions of dollars and bribed them basically to be friends.
[1:54:45] And after giving them tens of billions of dollars, they screwed Obama, okay?
[1:54:53] That's not the way we play.
[1:54:54] No.
[1:54:55] We do it the old-fashioned way.
[1:54:57] And they should wave.
[1:54:59] They're very proud.
[1:55:01] Maybe you won't see a white flag, but essentially, that's already what they are.
[1:55:06] They need, they should wave the white flag, the white flag of surrender.
[1:55:12] In hockey, they say, uncle, right?
[1:55:16] When are they going to, when are they going to cry uncle?
[1:55:20] But, but, and they have another expression.
[1:55:24] If this were a fight, they would stop it.
[1:55:27] But, you know, we have to go out and we have to do it.
[1:55:29] And it's, it's very sad to, it's very sad to see.
[1:55:32] Even shooting those boats, they've got three, four guys.
[1:55:36] They got a little machine gun in front.
[1:55:37] They're shooting at one of our ships that's meant for it.
[1:55:42] It bounces, they don't even know they're being shot at.
[1:55:45] And then they take it out with an Apache helicopter in about two seconds.
[1:55:49] They go, Apache, Apache, ship, northwest, 10 degrees.
[1:55:54] Turns around, boom.
[1:55:56] I don't like that, you know?
[1:55:57] You lose people, all these people.
[1:55:58] It's so unnecessary.
[1:56:00] It's so unnecessary.
[1:56:01] One thing we have, we have the greatest military in the world.
[1:56:04] I built it, because I built it in my first term.
[1:56:06] I didn't think I'd be using it, at least so much in my second term.
[1:56:11] But we have the greatest military, the best equipment in the world.
[1:56:15] We had 111 missiles shot at one of our assets, one of the aircraft carriers, a week and a half ago, two weeks ago.
[1:56:23] Think of this, 111 sophisticated missiles shot at one of our aircraft carriers.
[1:56:31] And every single one of those missiles were shot down with no problem whatsoever.
[1:56:37] If you would have said that 10 years ago, five years ago, it would have been an impossibility.
[1:56:41] You would have had to take those shots.
[1:56:42] Every single missile was laying in the water, far away.
[1:56:46] I mean, not even, they weren't even upset.
[1:56:49] And they're the coolest people.
[1:56:51] If you ever see them, you know, people, when they do the missile, when they do, right?
[1:56:55] They say, missile coming, missile coming.
[1:56:57] And these guys, it's like, almost like, oh, I'm just, blah, blah, blah.
[1:57:02] They're very smart.
[1:57:03] These are extremely smart people.
[1:57:06] They go to very good schools.
[1:57:09] But they shot down, who would think they'd get?
[1:57:12] They're like a needle in a haystack.
[1:57:15] 111 missiles shot.
[1:57:17] 111 missiles were knocked down into the water.
[1:57:22] Didn't even get close to the aircraft carrier.
[1:57:25] You know, nobody has a military like this.
[1:57:27] Okay, a couple more.
[1:57:28] I want to go out and watch these great athletes.
[1:57:31] I'm not talking about him and him.
[1:57:32] I'm talking about these kids.
[1:57:34] Because I think you're going to be far better as an athlete than anybody behind you.
[1:57:39] Okay, do you agree?
[1:57:40] I think you're going to be a better athlete.
[1:57:42] What sport do you play?
[1:57:43] I play football.
[1:57:46] Oh, football.
[1:57:47] There you go.
[1:57:48] Do you think you're going to be better than him?
[1:57:51] You'll be faster.
[1:57:53] You're going to be so much faster than him.
[1:57:55] He's going to be like lightning.
[1:57:56] He was done for his speed, by the way.
[1:57:58] I don't know.
[1:57:59] I think pretty good.
[1:58:00] What sport do you play?
[1:58:01] I don't play sport because my mom didn't sign me up.
[1:58:04] But when I'm trying, I play gymnastics.
[1:58:08] Gymnastics?
[1:58:09] That's a good sport.
[1:58:12] That's a great sport.
[1:58:12] What do you play?
[1:58:13] I do dance, but I also do volleyball.
[1:58:16] All right.
[1:58:17] Hey.
[1:58:17] You're nice and tall to be a volleyball player.
[1:58:19] Amazing.
[1:58:20] What about you?
[1:58:21] Look at this guy.
[1:58:21] He's a big guy.
[1:58:22] Hey, I'm doing football right now.
[1:58:24] And next year, I'm going to be trying to do powerlifting.
[1:58:26] Oh, whoa.
[1:58:27] Yes.
[1:58:27] All right.
[1:58:28] Let's go.
[1:58:29] Whoa.
[1:58:29] That's awesome.
[1:58:30] And you'll never compete against women in powerlifting.
[1:58:32] That's right.
[1:58:33] Did you see that they had a man powerlifter?
[1:58:36] He decided to go the opposite direction.
[1:58:40] He took a record.
[1:58:41] Stood for 18 years.
[1:58:44] He beat it by 119 pounds.
[1:58:47] Okay?
[1:58:48] Okay.
[1:58:49] A little quarter of an ounce, quarter of an ounce.
[1:58:52] For 18 years, it stood.
[1:58:54] This guy came.
[1:58:55] He was a failed powerlifter.
[1:58:57] But he went on the other side, and he decided that he wanted to go into women's sports.
[1:59:01] And he broke the record by 118 pounds.
[1:59:04] I think that's fair.
[1:59:06] So I don't think we'll have to worry about you.
[1:59:08] Yes, sir.
[1:59:08] You're going to do good.
[1:59:09] Are you a strong person?
[1:59:10] Yes, sir.
[1:59:11] Good.
[1:59:11] You think you can take me in a fight?
[1:59:15] I think you can.
[1:59:18] I mean, that would be embarrassing.
[1:59:20] How about you?
[1:59:21] What sport do you play?
[1:59:22] I play volleyball, and in the summer, I'm trying to get into soccer.
[1:59:26] Well, well, and with your height, do you smash the ball, the volleyball?
[1:59:32] No.
[1:59:32] Can you get up high?
[1:59:33] Can you jump high?
[1:59:34] Not very.
[1:59:36] Soccer might be better.
[1:59:38] I don't want to be.
[1:59:40] I'm just looking to think she'd be a great soccer player.
[1:59:43] That's good.
[1:59:43] Good luck, okay?
[1:59:45] What about you?
[1:59:46] Hockey and golf.
[1:59:47] Well, and you know that guy, right?
[1:59:49] Yes.
[1:59:49] You know that guy.
[1:59:51] Do you think you could be as good as him someday?
[1:59:53] Not easy.
[1:59:55] Better.
[1:59:55] Won't be a better guy.
[1:59:56] Won't be a better guy.
[1:59:56] Won't be a better guy.
[1:59:57] Won't be a better guy.
[1:59:57] And you play golf?
[1:59:58] This young man today, of all the young men I've met, he had the best manners possible.
[2:00:05] He was a smile.
[2:00:07] I said, how are you?
[2:00:08] He looked me in the eye.
[2:00:09] He said, fine.
[2:00:10] Thank you, sir.
[2:00:11] How are you?
[2:00:12] Not just good.
[2:00:14] Are you a good golfer?
[2:00:16] Yes.
[2:00:16] So what's your handicap?
[2:00:18] Do you have a handicap?
[2:00:19] 15.
[2:00:20] So this man is 90 years old.
[2:00:24] Do you think you could beat him?
[2:00:25] I'm betting on Gary.
[2:00:27] I'm betting on Gary.
[2:00:28] You will.
[2:00:29] You will.
[2:00:29] You will.
[2:00:30] Hey, you know what else?
[2:00:31] And he doesn't choke.
[2:00:32] It's a big deal.
[2:00:33] A lot of guys can play, but the flag goes up and bad things happen.
[2:00:38] And I think being in good shape helps you in that respect.
[2:00:41] See, if it wasn't a cherished table, this is very historic.
[2:00:44] I could get on this table and do 50 push-ups like that.
[2:00:47] Most people can't do that, even when they're going to the army, right?
[2:00:51] So you've got to keep in shape.
[2:00:52] Yes, sir.
[2:00:53] And you tell everybody how you love this country.
[2:00:55] Yes.
[2:00:55] Okay?
[2:00:56] Good.
[2:00:57] Good way to end.
[2:00:59] So we're going to go out.
[2:01:00] We're going to say hello to the athletes.
[2:01:02] We have young and great athletes.
[2:01:03] We also have some big superstars out there waiting for us.
[2:01:07] And thank you very much.
[2:01:08] And, Bryson, thank you very much.
[2:01:10] You really took this and brought it to a level.
[2:01:12] It's true.
[2:01:12] Biden and President Obama decided that it wasn't important.
[2:01:17] And they're so wrong.
[2:01:18] Thank you very much, everybody.
[2:01:20] Thank you, guys.
[2:01:21] Thank you, press.
[2:01:22] Thank you, press.
[2:01:23] Thank you, press.
[2:01:24] Thank you, press.
[2:01:25] Thank you, press.
[2:01:25] All right.
[2:01:31] So the president this morning signing that proclamation,
