[0:28] Like after Trump leaves office, I would not be surprised if the two of them do team up for their own Fox News show, L&L, Levitt and Laura, Levitt and Laura, food for thought. I want to play these three clips for you because, again, just the audacity of Carolyn Levitt to just lie, straight up lie about the Trump presidency, the affordability crisis, you know, the scourge of communism taking over the United States, but also Donald Trump's own honesty. [0:54] This is what Carolyn Levitt has to say about that. [0:57] Yeah, I've been in this press world now for quite some time and it's constant and busy and evolving. [1:02] So it took me some time, you know, several days to really wrap my arms around everything that's going on here at the White House. [1:09] But thankfully, you know, working for the president, people always ask, what's it like to be, you know, his spokesperson? [1:14] And he makes it very easy because he just tells you like it is. [1:20] And he's so accessible, not just to me, but to all of his staff here. [1:24] And so it just it was a gif where I was really able to figure out what was going on here in the building. [1:29] Obviously received briefings from the secretary of state and our policymakers, our legislative affairs team. [1:34] What's going on in Capitol Hill? [1:36] They all got me up to speed pretty quickly. [1:37] And now we're back out at the podium. [1:39] It's just so funny to say that all he tells it like it is. [1:42] He is the most dishonest politician in modern American history, an inveterate pathological liar. [1:48] But so, too, is Levitt. Right. [1:49] And this is where I've I know some people in my audience, some people in the comment section, perhaps some of you don't like it when I say this. [1:55] But the truth is, Levitt is very good at her job. [1:57] When you consider how incompetent, corrupt, unpopular Donald Trump is and you have to be his spokesperson, she actually does a pretty good job, all things considered, to try to spin things in his favor. [2:10] Now, she can't possibly win because the facts are so squarely against Trump. [2:15] And again, he is just he's the most unpopular president in American history and he actively makes her job harder. [2:20] But when you consider what she's working with, she is herself a very capable and impressive liar and spin doctor. [2:28] She is by far the most capable of his MAGA press secretaries, you know, much better than Sean Spicer, who was the first Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who's now like the governor, I think, of Arkansas. [2:38] But she was also a press secretary for Trump. [2:40] She was better than Spicer, but not very good. [2:42] Kayleigh McEnany, who is also a Fox News host now. [2:45] She was better than Sarah Huckabee Sanders and whatever. [2:48] And so Levitt is kind of the culmination of that MAGA transformation. [2:53] She is a vicious, dishonest person, but very good at what she does, which is why she frustrates, you know, myself and so many others there because she just lies with impunity. [3:04] Now, it's also fun to see her get flustered, to see her, you know, get fact checked by reporters left, right and center. [3:10] And we've already seen she has reached the limits of her powers of dishonesty. [3:15] She's, you know, it's been an ever-increasing disaster as the Trump administration continues. [3:21] But that's because the Trump administration has just been an ever-increasing disaster as well. [3:26] So it makes you wonder what the hell Levitt's going to be forced to say in defense of Trump a year from now, if it's this bad already. [3:34] What's the sort of shit she's going to be saying in 2027? [3:37] They all got me up to speed pretty quickly, and now we're back out at the podium. [3:41] Well, speaking of the midterms, we know the tradition. [3:44] The party that has the White House typically has an uphill battle for the midterms. [3:48] And when you look at the top issue among voters right now, it seems to be the cost of living. [3:56] So what steps have been taken by the White House to really address that? [3:59] Because that's going to be important as we head towards November. [4:02] Yeah. [4:02] Well, the president and the White House, we fully recognize that. [4:06] And I would remind your viewers and the American people of who caused the affordability crisis in this country. [4:13] It was Joe Biden and it was the Democrats in this city when they were in power. [4:17] And President Trump took immediate action on day one to fix that with his overall economic formula of tax cuts, deregulation, and energy dominance. [4:26] That's what this administration has been working on every single day for the past year and a half. [4:31] President Trump and Republicans signed the largest middle class tax cut in history. [4:36] Every single Democrat voted against it. [4:38] President Trump and Republicans created Trump accounts, where children who are signing up today, like my daughter, will have nearly $300,000 worth of savings in these accounts by the time they are 18. [4:50] That is giving our children the American dream on a silver platter in the touch of an app. [4:55] And Democrats are opposed to that. [4:57] How could you be? [4:57] You know, you look at the price transparency the president is doing in the health care space, trying to bring down interest rates, mortgage rates. [5:05] All of these things that he is doing will only get better if given two more years with a Republican Congress. [5:11] You mentioned. [5:12] So a couple of things here. [5:15] Joe Biden did not start an affordability crisis. [5:18] The affordability crisis came when Donald Trump mismanaged COVID in 2020. [5:22] Right. And when he lied about COVID, when he didn't take any prophylactic measures to stop COVID, when he constantly undercut his own scientific advisers and his own federal response to COVID. [5:32] And it triggered an economic catastrophe. [5:35] Right. The economy in 2020 was absolutely atrocious and it was on Donald Trump's watch. [5:40] And then it became a global economic issue, not just in the United States, but in every major country on Earth, even if they're under conservative control, like the United Kingdom. [5:49] An advanced economy also under control of conservatives. [5:53] Right. The the UK's version of the Republicans. [5:55] They were hit with an affordability crisis, too, because of COVID related inflation under President Biden. [6:02] That inflation was managed much better in the United States than any other country on Earth. [6:06] And yes, it did get quite high, up to nine percent in 2022. [6:10] But then by the time Biden left office, it was lower than it is now. [6:14] Donald Trump took Joe Biden's inflation and made it higher with tariffs and his disastrous war against Iran. [6:22] So he didn't inherit an affordability crisis. [6:25] He actively created one with his own stupid, disastrous policies by ways of tariff and by ways of war, which is why the American people are more pissed off at Trump about the economy in 2026 than they were with Joe Biden in 2024 and 2023. [6:40] The American people say in poll after poll after poll that Biden's economy was better than Trump's economy, and Trump promised that he would cut costs on day one. [6:49] He didn't cut costs on day one. [6:50] On day one with his tariffs, he started to actively make costs more expensive. [6:54] So, again, he lied to the American people and did the exact opposite. [6:57] As far as, you know, this idea of price transparency, there is no price transparency. [7:03] As far as energy dominance, we were energy dominant under Joe Biden as well. [7:08] So, again, you get no credit for that. [7:10] The affordability crisis is won in poll after poll after poll after poll after poll after poll after poll after poll. [7:15] The American people say is Donald Trump's fault, is the Republicans' fault. [7:19] So you're not winning the PR battle on that. [7:21] You're not winning the messaging war on that despite Trump's powers of gaslighting, despite Carolyn Levitt's powers of gaslighting, despite the cult of personality that's tens of millions strong to all the political advantages that the Republicans enjoy in this system. [7:36] It's still not enough to let them win because they have fucked this up so spectacularly. [7:41] If they win the midterms or if they, you know, manage to squeak out a less severe defeat in the midterms, it's because of their own systemic institutional advantages, not because they won the war on the merits. [7:53] The polling is quite clear on this, and the American people have made it abundantly clear in every special election since Trump got back into power. [8:00] The American people are pissed off at how Trump has screwed up the economy, and no amount of lying is going to change that fact or make the American people believe that lie. [8:09] You lose. Let's continue. [8:11] Fox News polling shows that Democrats have a favorable opinion of socialism over capitalism by a large majority, as opposed to Republicans who have, by about 50 points, more favorable view of capitalism over socialism. [8:26] What do you make of those numbers? And what would your message be maybe to independent voters who are looking at these two parties as we head towards the midterms? [8:36] You have one party, the Republican Party, obviously capitalists, you know, free market people who want you to be able to keep more of your own money. [8:44] So, again, full of shit because her father-in-law, Donald Trump, is seizing control of at least part control of American companies. [8:53] 10% of Intel, 10% of this company. It's the most Marxist, communist economic policy from the federal government, potentially ever, but certainly that we have seen in decades. [9:04] So, like Leavitt, like Trump, she's just lying her ass off. [9:09] Democrats on the other side who basically are taken over by socialists. [9:11] Totally. The Democrat Party has totally capitulated to the communists within their ranks. [9:17] Communism has never worked. And it's very scary that a major political party in this country, the Democrat Party, is being controlled by communists. [9:26] And their only real answer to any problem is to just take more from the individuals who make that country great and give it to the government. [9:35] You know, it sounds great to have free food, free health care, free rent, but who's paying for all of that? [9:41] We are. [9:41] No, the rich are, and the rich should. Again, there's no such thing as a self-made billionaire in this country. [9:49] Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, they have made their wealth in parts due to, in the case of Elon, billions and billions of dollars of public funding, right? [9:57] So we gave him money, and he was able to privatize his profits. I'm sorry, that doesn't work. [10:02] You built your riches in part because of government funding, which means we get to take it from you. Not all of it. You still get to be rich. [10:08] But your right to be a trillionaire is infinitely less important than the right of the American people to prosper as well. [10:14] So get over it. You can still be rich under democratic policy, but your right to excess infinite wealth is less important than the right of working-class Americans, middle-class Americans, poor Americans to survive. [10:27] Their rights to survive and to have a basic standard of living is infinitely more important than your right to become a trillionaire, and we won't apologize for that. [10:34] Yes, we will take your money. Fuck you. We're right. You're wrong, period, and the polling is with us. [10:39] The American people want the uber-rich in this country to be taxed disproportionately, to be taxed incredibly. [10:47] Nobody says you can't be rich in this country, but if you are super rich in this country, you will pay extraordinary taxes, and nobody cares that you don't like it. [10:55] So Carolyn Leavitt, of course, is lying about that, right, and this idea that they just want to give it to the government. [11:02] Well, I will again point out that Donald Trump is actively seizing control of American companies in the most Marxist policy we have seen in this country in decades. [11:13] So again, I say this is a messaging issue, and Democratic pundits and strategists and politicians have to be very careful, especially depending on where they campaign, about how they communicate this to the American people. [11:25] So I totally recognize that the socialist brand or democratic socialist brand works in some areas, but it works against people in other areas. [11:34] So it worked well for Zoran Mamdani, the mayor of New York City, who has done exceptionally well, and he is thriving in New York City. [11:41] Good on him. We should continue to support him. [11:44] It will not work if you're a Democratic candidate running in a purple district or in a red district. [11:50] So they need to be able to run against democratic socialism or to run away from democratic socialism. [11:56] Again, the messaging has to be we have to give people grace and room to run with what works. [12:02] But as far as letting Republicans wag their finger about us, no communism, no Marxism, fuck you. [12:08] The Trump administration is in some ways the most communistic party between the corruption and the seizure by the government of American companies. [12:17] It's the most communistic party and government we have seen in decades. [12:21] So, no, you're hypocrites, and we'll continue to mock you, and we'll do whatever we think is appropriate.
