Karmelo Anthony Trial: NEW Body Cam + Track Footage Released

to but he put his hands on me hi everybody it's me av welcome back to my youtube channel where we talk about all things law true crime and a bit of debauchery today we are talking about the case that i have been dreading the carmelo anthony case and the unfortunate passing of austin metcalf i've done about three pieces on this case so far my first initial reactions reading the arrest warrant the second was um doing a live stream on the verdict where i lost it a little bit because people are very passionate about this case and then the third piece was also looking at the court transcript from the lens of someone that was in the courtroom and when i say that i look at credible sources and we were looking at a local tenured dallas-based news reporter who reported what he saw in the courtroom now here's the thing with what you can see in the courtroom it's not always a hundred percent accurate you guys know as a legal analyst i would prefer what we can get from the actual courthouse and pdfs and documents that are actually filed because there's no disputing the validity of those documents however court reporters take their time post cases to post those documents now what i can tell you is that we do have some new things that were released within the last 24 hours some pieces of evidence that we are going to watch together now granted not all evidence is made available but these are some pieces let's get into it do have [00:02:02] Brooke Taylor: breaking details coming into the newsroom in the trial of carmelo anthony putting this on your screen brooke taylor fox news correspondent saying the judge in the carmelo anthony trial just released evidence including body camera footage showing the moments an officer took him into custody after the stabbing anthony has heard saying quote he put his hands on me i told him not to he put his hands on me we do have more details in this including pictures of the murder weapon the aftermath and anthony's backpack we are going to put those up on your screen here take a look this is courtesy collin county district court showing photos with evidence markers the murder weapon that blade there is the uh scene of where the stabbing took place and his backpack carmelo anthony's backpack right there now the district court also released surveillance video you'll see on your screen here that lit up a orb in in the top left hand side of your screen that is carmelo anthony frisco texas you can see that video here released just now by the collin county district court as he continues to walk along the perimeter of that track field again you can see the graphic on your screen of the orb that is highlighted carmelo anthony on that day in 2025. now just to remind you here carmelo anthony was found guilty of murder for fatally stabbing 17 year old austin metcalf at this 2025 track meet he received a 35 year prison sentence and just a reminder here he faced anywhere from five to 99 years now prosecutors labeled the fatal stadium stabbing a provoked unjustified sneak attack inside that team tent that you should saw moments ago again this video here released to the the public today by the judge and the district court now we do have full body camera video we're going to play that out here for full in full for you viewer discretion is advised [00:04:30] Speaker 1: if somebody is shooting the victim they need end of the stadium all right any weapons on you like that i love here how long this batch 443 everybody can slow down i got the alleged suspect in handcuffs right now detained crazy you can open up the channel and uh medics are clear to come in haven't come to the north east entrance that's gonna be a gate that's wide open there and then you come to the victim from there this is where the statement takes place i'm not alleged i did it so nothing on your person at all no nothing no mind if i reach in your pockets and stuff and all that that stamina no sir no sir okay i have a little personal there okay just just to make sure all right the the the victim is going to be underneath that tent over there so i'll get medics [00:06:39] Speaker 1: i'm going to be in here for a minute so resting on your hands okay all right see a little bit of blood on your hands there okay all right so your first name is carmelo okay i don't know yeah man carmelo c-a-r-a-k-a-r-k-a-r understand that the officer [00:08:27] Speaker 2: is doing his job and being objective he's saying i don't know man but carmelo is asking is he gonna [00:08:33] Speaker 4: be okay hello m-e-l-o carmelo what's your last name a-n-t-h-o-n-y-y we're ready when i'm in 12th grade 10 grade you go to emerson no where'd he go centennial okay i'm in 12th grade 12th grade 12th grade okay all right i'm gonna run this guy real quick i haven't talked to him at all those moments there anthony [00:09:00] Brooke Taylor: being taken into custody brooke taylor posting this on x judge john roach tells me he released the evidence because quote i understand the public's desire to know what happened in the courtroom [00:09:12] Speaker 2: the overwhelming focus on my rule is this footage you see austin in the black they're walking on the left heading over to the tent we do get to see the tent right and they do highlight the orbs all right so you see these orbs looks like this footage is carmelo in gray remember it's raining he's walking over and this is what the footage we just watched it didn't show you the full part this portion was released okay so if carmelo walking by two tents at this point in time and you can now start to see the memorial tent which is a yellow one on the screen it's very hard to see what happens but some people can see it clearly you do see a scuffle take place inside of the tent he walked by too and sat under the third one all seems pretty calm at the beginning but then you start to see some students stand up it's hard to make out but it appears that austin is in the middle if you can see my pointer on the screen that appears to be austin this gentleman here wearing the white is standing up okay there's the pushing there's the pushing then you see carmelo up there you see carmelo run and that is the footage we saw on the news a second ago but i want to take it a step further and show you what happens after he runs because it looks like he encounters another person and i don't know if that's a police officer but that encounter leads him back to the area you see students not letting him walk away they're pointing at him like he did it he did it this is the person i don't know if we don't have audio so we can't necessarily hear what's being said now we have him with two people walking back towards the area this is what you could not see on the news whoever that was that was left now carmelo is freely walking on his own and going back and forth remember the jury saw this footage okay whoever that was secured something i don't know if that's an embrace or a hug or what but he is being brought back to the area of the tent we have the tarp situation you can see that on the bleachers you backpacks and now i don't know if all right there's another person carmelo seems to be excited there okay and now he is on his hands now he's on his knees with his hands behind his back this is where i believe we pick up the body cam footage that we just saw hands now on his head and stress i wish we had a timer because this is a significant amount of time before first responders got to the scene [00:15:13] Speaker ?: Thank you. [00:15:43] Speaker 2: Okay, this is the law enforcement officer. So apparently Carmelo was still at the scene with other people. I would assume that's the coach. And this is where the body cam footage that we just saw picks up. This is Carmelo being removed and walked over to the police car that we just saw on the body cam footage. Looks like three uniformed officers escorted him to the vehicle. And we also saw paramedics going over to Austin to render aid.
