started punching her as kids do right in the thigh or crotch and it was like kid and i go come on kid try to remember sarcomand doesn't like that and he froze and i thought it was gonna go oh it's buzz lightyear said he had some kind of a weird meltdown and he goes that man ate buzz lightyear and i went okay and she looked at me like she's pissed at me too now look what you've done i was trying animated film is getting the live action remake treatment if you guys were going to play woody and buzz in live action form wow what are the things the physicalities the ticks that you look forward to those and wrists man what do you [00:02:25] Speaker 3: mean by that well me it's all like you know i'm always going this kind of thing and i throw myself [00:02:30] Speaker 2: forward and how could you actually do that all right that's a good question because they did that version lightyear where it looked like a human form and it it it just didn't translate well because he's and he'd have to get out of the suit and he's got clothes on and buzz his head i don't know how [00:02:45] Speaker 3: you'd ever do that well yeah it would be animatronic i don't know i i i how about that you have literally it's a conundrum it cannot be done how about that let's leave it right there well because [00:02:55] Speaker 2: you'd have to be like woody and then you get dressed as a cowboy for certain events yeah you could where [00:03:02] Speaker 3: would you go dressed like imagine how big the bed they would have to be like three stories tall and [00:03:12] Speaker 1: if it'll make money they will find a way that's the disney motto guys i gotta tell you one of my favorite memories as a kid was christmas 1996 and i got to unwrap under the tree this copy oh this is my uh this is my childhood copy of toy story wow and the reason i brought that today is because i recently i know right it's still i still have a lot of them thank you for rewinding it i i'm kind you have to be kind rewind i recently found out that i'm going to be a dad for the first time oh congratulations thank you very much and that is how i want to show my kid toy story i'm going to get a vcr i'm going to set it up and i want my kid to see it on the vhs that i watched as a kid where are you going to go i will find one you can't find they're there yeah they're there it's harder to find a tv that will suit suit yeah they don't have that rca connect exactly uh i'd love to know what advice do you guys have for showing this movie the original film to my kid for the first time wait wait until you see them a movie that was really important to you guys to show your kids for [00:04:42] Speaker 2: the first time that meant a lot to you uh it was a very uncomfortable time because uh my she was six i think and we're going to show her santa claus and i said we had to prep her for this you know your dad is an actor you've seen the show he does he plays santa claus and she's no idea what we're talking about when she saw it she got up off and sat in my lap was just like i go she was not well and she goes how you're santa no no we play santa it's like a theatrical but how do you know about santa uh well we we've visited there and talked to him so you've been to the north pole now it's now she's and then she's angry with me why did you leave the boy there and i go well we're acting so you're not santa i've met him because that's how i know all this and then all the way through i said do not tell any of your friends your dad is santa claus and she never she couldn't get that it never worked for us she was not mad she was unhappy and very sad because it didn't make any sense that looks like santa you i know you and that whole bull crap you said you've been to the north when you talk to him that's how you came up with the story it was horrifying did you have one [00:06:00] Speaker 3: well uh to see a movie i showed the i think the first time when my kids i wanted them to see a charlie brown christmas but i was on an episode of the love boat all right in 1980 that track and my and and and my my son my son uh colin was uh three years old all right just about three years old and we want it was on saturday night we watched it i was out to do bosom buddies and whatnot we watched it at home and he he was just so delighted i was with him in the living room on the couch and he was delighted to see me and do that but at the end he thought that i was moving on to the love boat and the closing credits are the love boat sailing away and he started crying because he did not want me to leave the house and go live on go live on the love boat [00:06:51] Speaker 1: i'm hearing a lot of trauma so i'm telling you be careful apparently i need to i was looking forward to showing my kid this interview and saying wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait all right just old enough yeah guys from the bottom of my heart you guys have been such an important part of my life and you've brought me so much happiness and now i'm so happy to be able to share that with my kid who will be here in october oh wow you know the gender we're doing the baby shower and the gender reveal on the same day nice so we're gonna do the whole thing at the lake and park zoo in chicago and iris is here she's she's beautiful she's glowing and i hope the kid takes after her oh good all right thank you
