destructive as you probably heard so this is how you can sit down come it's an honor now if you [0:21] found if you find it really exciting stand up pop up again but it's a great honor welcome these took a little heat [0:39] from my wife she said darling what did you do with my grass i said people got tired of standing in mud [0:48] you know the white house you don't realize this is built on a wetland so when it doesn't it didn't [0:53] have to rain and the grass was always soaking wet if you had a news conference the reporters [0:59] who are back there i think the reporters they walk out with their shoes the female reporters [1:04] in particular they weren't thrilled but i said we're going to get a gorgeous stone which we did [1:10] and we're going to put this up here i don't know if you got to see it's just completed with the granite [1:14] the black granite and mr secretary right you just you saw you gave it your approval do we have a good [1:21] news secretary would you please stand up walkway we have a great secretary he's a great wrestler by the [1:29] way you know he's a championship wrestler you don't want to fight him but you don't know some of these [1:33] guys might be able to take you but probably not i would be very disappointed in you if that happened [1:40] but we're honored to be joined by vice president jd vance where's jd ad doing a terrific job thank you jd [1:51] interior secretary doug bergham doug and we'll be opening up the reflective pond it's called the [2:01] reflective pond goes from the lincoln to the washington the washington monument and it goes [2:09] all the way it's uh 2500 feet think of this and president obama a man who was a great divider president [2:20] he spent 54 million trying to fix it and it made it worse they've been trying to get it fixed for the [2:26] last 40 years so i got involved with doug they were going to spend think of this 350 to 400 million [2:34] you have to understand it's longer than the tallest building in the world playing sideways it's two [2:39] empire state buildings and it's almost 200 feet wide it's a lot it's a big area it was going to take [2:45] four years and it was going to cost 350 to 400 million i said i think we can do it for less so i called [2:54] people that do swimming pools and they said go take a look at it they were going to take stone out [3:00] they were going to put new stone in it would have taken forever it would have taken three or four [3:04] years that's before overruns and over at cost so they were four think of this 350 million without cost [3:13] overruns and four years versus three million dollars and it'll be finished this week like think of [3:23] that and somebody said somebody said and by the way a very sophisticated job they ground the stone [3:32] they ground everything they sealed it they did a lot they had to have a good base and uh because i [3:38] read in the new york times we just gave a little paint job this is not paid this is highly sophisticated [3:43] stuff but uh i said get me the heavy duty industrialized and it's thick it's amazing actually amazing [3:52] stuff it'll be good for 50 years probably so somebody said well it's not the same job no it's [3:58] better it's going to be beautiful and i think we'll have it open doug next week sometime next week week [4:03] after so this would have been under construction for four years cost all of that money it would have [4:10] been over 400 million dollars with cost overruns which of course are a normal a normal cost of [4:17] building if you don't know what the hell you're doing and we did it for a couple of million bucks and we [4:23] did it in one week i said one week that's not including the preparation which was two weeks alone [4:30] because it was so filthy dirty we were getting complaints from people for years it's been dirty [4:36] and disgusting and rotting rotting garbage in it terrible we took away 16 loads of garbage out of that [4:45] only two feet deep pool so i just want to mention because doug has been great and he went with me a [4:51] hundred percent so we put this magnificent coating it's almost complete not a paint job new york times [4:58] fake new york times i call it the failing new york times they're losing subscribers they're losing [5:03] subscribers so badly they don't know what the hell to do but they said we did a paint job we didn't do [5:08] a paint job the place would leak and we're going to have it totally sealed it's basically if you think [5:14] of a swimming pool a heavy swimming pool coating and the pool person said sir we're going industrial [5:21] what is industrial it's a heavy duty it can handle anything and it's going to be beautiful beautiful [5:28] color i picked american flag see the blue i picked american flag it was called american flag blue i [5:34] couldn't make up my mind i had a hard time i was having a very hard time and here the colors are sir [5:43] there were like 70 colors i said couldn't you give me three 70s a lot they had every color you can [5:49] imagine and they called them and they i looked and looked i said what is this sir that's american flag [5:55] blue i said i'll take that one and i think it's going to be beautiful and uh you're going to see [6:01] something so this is 1922 it was built and it was broken for most of the time and you are now with doug [6:08] and myself and a great staff you have uh and the people that did it and by the way these people did [6:14] not work for me they told us they said they worked for me they didn't work for me they come from a [6:19] different part of the country but uh but they were good the people that worked for me recommended it [6:25] then they recommend we do it this way but i recommended it to them because i'm very good at [6:29] construction so we saved at least think of it i saved 349 million dollars and i saved four years [6:40] of construction and the new york times said i didn't bid it i didn't bid it uh it's unbelievable [6:47] it's unbelievable but i had nothing to do i blame doug they gave it out i didn't even give it out [6:53] so the other people we have we have some of the greatest people on name you know to nice so that when the fake news reports they said it was [7:40] a nice day with nice we spent a beautiful day with nice i said you will screw them up so badly they [7:47] won't know have now we have great law enforcement now we have law enforcement that [9:18] loves our country not law enforcement that's sick and dangerous white house deputy chief of staff [9:25] stephen miller thank janine i'd be in very big trouble but you did a great job everybody [10:43] proud of you look the fake news you showed up they missed the best part i want to thank also a friend of [10:51] mine [12:19] represent but we had thousands of criminals we had numerous murderers people that were in for murder [12:24] people that were taken out of jails they murdered more than one per people more than one person and [12:31] we got them out of here we got them out and uh overall i think we took over 5 000 people career [12:36] criminals out of dc and one stat that's really good that two percent of the people create 92 [12:45] of the crime and i love that step because we can solve that problem we get rid of two percent and [12:51] you get rid of your crime and that's essentially what we did we took a large number of people but not [12:57] incredibly large we got them out and now we have a safe place and you know people that work in the [13:03] white house whenever i'm out that people come up to me and they say thank you sir i almost know what [13:08] they they mean they say thank you sir and i said i think i know uh go ahead thank me for what you [13:15] made washington dc safe we live here we couldn't leave our apartment we couldn't go out to dinner the [13:21] restaurants were closing i mean it was horrible restaurants and for the restaurants closed you [13:26] couldn't have run a restaurant even your car services uber they be robbed when they're in the [13:33] car was horrible it was a horrible situation and they come up to me they say thank you it's a safe [13:39] city again we walk to work we walk to the white house they wouldn't even think about walking to the [13:43] white house before now they all i see them all over walking to the white house it's safe and it's a [13:49] beautiful thing and restaurants are opening restaurants are opening uh the place is like hot it's very hot [13:59] like our country you know our country was a dead country we were a dead country and a laughing [14:04] stock all over the world one and a half years ago we were dead as a doornail we had no future our [14:09] country was laughed at disrespected our president was disrespected he couldn't he couldn't walk without [14:16] falling down the damn stairs i'd say you know some people thought it was funny i didn't like it i didn't [14:22] like watching it should have never been there and i'm very careful when i walk by the way because if i [14:29] ever fall i'm just the fake news will oh they're gonna have that headline will go on for years [14:36] you know sometimes like i walk out of the plane late i'm not looking to set any records you go [14:41] nice and easy but we had a guy who was just what a horrible president we had a few of them but he was [14:48] a beauty and we have safe now we have a country that's respected all over the world so think of it [14:54] we're a dead country a year and a half ago and now we're the hottest country anywhere officer ryan mcdermott who recently took a bullet [15:31] in the line of duty will soon be returning to work getting better he's going to be all 100 [15:36] percent in a short period of time so we accept that [16:26] i'll accept that's pretty good thank you very much patrick i don't forget that i figured what [16:31] the hell is this guy where is he working who is he i have no idea who he is he president of the national border [16:51] patrol council my friend this guy for years along with others he worked on the border he never got [16:59] a call from the border czar the border czar was she did a quite a good job we had about 25 million people come through totally unchecked [17:29] unvetted murderers killers drug dealers drug addicts all over the place right mental people from mental [17:37] institutions insane asylums we had 11 888 murderers come through other than that it was quite a nice [17:46] situation and she never once called and i said boy that's a big story the fact that she never called [17:53] she never called you one time is that right never one time she was the border czar she was great she [17:58] would have made a great president but she's leading in the polls and uh we have to respect that we have [18:05] to respect it i just hope she gets that president how about how about gavin newsom though he went out [18:11] and he said he's a stupid person he got bad police in this country and we're [21:40] trying to figure out who are the other two percent because nobody can figure that one out figure that [21:46] and we pay tribute to the heroes who keep america safe and they are heroes indeed this week especially [21:53] our thoughts turn to the officers who gave their lives and the line of duty to all of the incredible [21:58] police officers sheriffs sheriffs deputies law enforcement officers all law enforcement we [22:05] want to thank you i thank you from the bottom of my heart i respect nobody more than i respect you [22:11] without you we have bedlam without you we have without you we have somalia okay a fine place where [22:19] we have a congresswoman who brilliantly came over to the country by marrying her brother that was the first [22:27] law she broke that was the least of them and she comes from a country where they have nothing but [22:33] crime bedlam filth a horrible place they say it may be the worst place comes to our country and then [22:40] she tells us how to run the united states of america it's an amazing thing ilan omar it's an amazing [22:48] thing how they can get away with it and the people don't want that to happen and hopefully you'll figure [22:55] it out but a very terrible thing i can't stand as she says the constitution gives me certain rights [23:01] go back to your own country talk about a constitution they don't have they don't have a constitution they [23:07] never will that's why upon taking office i signed an executive order directing the attorney general [23:13] who is doing a great job by the way mcgee you're doing a great job todd and he's been good [23:23] that anyone convicted of killing a police officer should face the death penalty a hundred percent [23:30] that's an easy one from day one my administration has made public safety and the support of our law [23:38] enforcement our absolute highest priority last year the murder rate saw its single largest decline [23:46] in recorded history to the lowest level in over 125 years before my father was born my father i had a [23:53] great father before my father was born 125 years ago 1900 the year 1900 you need pretty good right [24:01] probably because they don't want to mess around with you you haven't been there quite that long [24:06] i deployed our national guard and federal law enforcement to restore law and order to our most [24:12] dangerous cities including as i said right here in washington dc and as we prepare for america's [24:20] 250th anniversary celebration we're planning a large public safety surge here in washington we're [24:26] going to have it nice and safe and we're going to also if requested help other cities like los angeles [24:31] new york they're fools if they don't ask for help absolute fools since i took office our [24:38] administration has made nearly 200 000 criminal arrests nationwide a record and we're getting them [24:44] off the streets and putting them in jail or in many cases sending them back to their lovely countries [24:50] where they came from and sometimes their country will say we don't want them we're not taking them [24:54] i'll say that's okay slap about a 25 tariff on their country and they call back we would love to have [25:00] them back immediately in addition the department of homeland security has removed nearly 615 000 [25:07] illegal alien criminals from our country for the past 12 months in a row think of that zero illegal aliens [25:16] have been admitted to the united states through our southern border and that's a think of that think [25:24] of that zero and you know the people that make those uh charts are inclined toward being a democrat [25:34] or a new name i came up with yesterday was a democrat because i was talking about [25:38] this guy and i think that could be a good one you know i've come up with some extraordinary names [25:43] but i was talking about hakeem jeffries he's a low iq person and he was asked he was talking about [25:51] uh all these things he was saying things that were so stupid so basic and so stupid he called our [25:57] supreme court illegitimate i don't agree with our supreme court all the time i can tell you that [26:02] but you can't call it illegitimate if i ever said that you can imagine what would have happened [26:07] but there wasn't a big stir but he was talking and i said yeah he's a dumb guy and then i said he's a [26:12] democrat and i don't know if people are going to like that term or not it maybe catches on and [26:17] maybe it doesn't but it's true their policies are insane and they would drive our country into ruin [26:23] and we've got to do great in the midterms and if we don't they will do everything they can to [26:28] destroy our country there's something wrong with them the flow of deadly fentanyl across our border is [26:33] down by the way by over 60 percent which is a record nobody ever thought it was even possible [26:39] and coming in by sea it's down by 97 percent and again we're trying to find the three percent [26:46] because we consider them to be among the bravest people anywhere in the world anybody willing to [26:51] get into one of those boats after what they've witnessed we would consider them to be among the [26:56] bravest in the world these gains have been the result and and what a job our military and others are [27:03] doing with respect is that right paul with respect to drugs coming in by sea meaning drugs coming in by [27:09] water by the ocean by the sea a lot of people don't know what i mean by sea they think i'm talking [27:14] about vision i'm not i'm talking about sea like the sea these gains have been the result of our [27:19] administration bringing together law enforcement at every level through our new homeland security [27:25] task force including ice or as i call it nice cbp homeland security the u.s marshals the atf the fbi and [27:36] state and local police are all incredible patriots are incredible people i also want to recognize one [27:42] hero who exemplifies the amazing courage our police officers show each and every day assistant chief [27:50] aaron edwards from the nypd new york's finest was aaron where are you a great hello aaron good looking guy [28:01] i love the nypd great people they've got to be respected by our elected officials they have to be [28:09] respected last march he was on duty when there were clashing protests outside of gracie mansion and two [28:17] radical islamic terrorists threw explosive devices into the crowd violently into the crowd he reacted [28:25] instantly jumping over a metal barricade and sprinting to apprehend one of the men as fate would [28:31] have it this 23 year old veteran of the new york pd was inspired to join the force when he saw police [28:39] running into twin towers on september 11th that had a profound impact 2001 and now he's helped arrest [28:47] terrorists from all over the world some really bad ones so i just want to say assistant chief edwards i [28:53] want to thank you very much i've heard about your record your record is very legendary congratulations [28:58] thank you very much that's great so this police week we pray for the families of our fallen offices [29:08] those great great families and we thank the heroes who wear the badge and risk their lives every day on [29:14] behalf of our nation you are restoring the foundation of law and order for our country and to our country [29:20] you're amazing people you don't really understand one thing you don't know how much respect people [29:27] respect you they love you you don't hear that but they all feel it i know it and they tell me [29:34] about it all the time as much as anybody else and more so i just want to welcome you as great [29:41] professionals as unbelievable people and patriots to the beautiful white house the new and improved [29:48] white house and uh it's an honor to be with you
