[0:00] Yes, Your Honor, just a response to the counter manifestation of the lead prosecutor. [0:08] In the first place, when the lead prosecutor mentioned that if the respondent wants to be heard, [0:14] there are other platforms where we can show and present our evidence. [0:24] I'm not sure if I heard that right. [0:27] And to be frank, it sounds, it is ridiculous to even suggest to the respondent that, [0:35] Hey, after 38 days, present namin ang lahat ng mga tao na sa tingin namin ay kaya magbigay ng damage sa iyong reputasyon [0:48] at kaya mag-identify ng mga dokumento na gusto namin marinig ng taong bayan. [0:57] Pero ang gagawin namin sa bandang huli ay i-withdraw namin lahat ito. [1:01] At sasabihin na lamang namin na ito ay para sa taong bayan para may kaunti namang kabilisan ang trial na ito. [1:10] But nonetheless, may iba ka namang platform respondent. [1:17] That is the messaging that the prosecution seems to want to impart before the public and before this honorable court. [1:30] It is unbelievable. [1:32] And to be honest, it is unacceptable. [1:35] Platform for the respondent. [1:37] Does the prosecution really want the respondent na puta lang ang respondent sa Facebook and where else? [1:49] Matapos nilang sirain ang vicepresidente sa harap ng publiko. [2:03] At ngayon ang sasabihin ay tutulungan ang taong bayan para mamadali ang proseso. [2:09] Sa tingin ko, hindi natin kailangan ng higit pang patunay na something really, really wrong is going on here. [2:24] Now, binanggit rin ng lead prosecutor yung 2025 impeachment complaint [2:30] that the prosecution allegedly wants to help the public because, you know, they're interested [2:37] because the impeachment complaints against the vicepresident have been going on since 2025. [2:43] In fact, I will probably need to correct that because the impeachment campaign against the vicepresident [2:47] did not only begin in 2025 when the Supreme Court junked and nullified void ab initio. [2:55] So, the impeachment complaints filed, or the articles of impeachment, that the 19th House of Representatives filed. [3:04] Baka nakakalimutan natin na itong dahilan kung bakit may disisyon ngayon na Duterte versus H.O.R. [3:10] Kaya hindi ko rin alam kung saan ang gagaling yung sugestyon na iyan. [3:14] But let us be clear. [3:19] Whatever is the decision of the prosecution on how to manage its case or how to secure its case [3:27] and whether it thinks that its case can survive on one article alone [3:33] at hindi na nila kailangan pa ng ebidensya or to offer evidence on articles 1, the confidential funds, [3:42] and article 4 on grave threats, at yung article 3 on bribery and corruption, that's their call. [3:53] That's their lookout. [3:55] And kagaya ng isang batayang prinsipyo sa lahat ng hukuman, [4:04] the prosecution's case must stand or fall on its own. [4:11] So, kung pahihinain ng pag-withdraw ng tatlong articles, [4:16] ang kaso na ito ng prosecution, that's theirs to bear. [4:21] That's their burden. [4:23] That's not the defense burden. [4:24] And the defense will proceed as it deems fit. [4:31] Lalo na sa pagkakataong ito, [4:33] naggumugol ang taong bayan ng 38 araw. [4:41] Marahil marami sa kanilang hindi pa pumapasok sa kanilang, [4:43] sa kanilang trabaho para masubaybayan. [4:48] Ang paglilitis na ito, [4:50] at hindi lang yun, [4:52] gumugol tayo ng government resources para sa trial na ito. [4:57] In fact, I would even go as far as say that [5:01] the withdrawal should already be one of the reasons [5:06] why the articles of impeachment, [5:08] entire articles of impeachment should be dismissed. [5:10] Isang pruweba, kahapon narinig natin, [5:19] tinanong pa, [5:21] yung daledge, [5:23] forensic financial expert. [5:28] At pingilit na, [5:32] so saan mo ba may attribute ito? [5:35] At ano binanggit niya? [5:36] Confidential funds. [5:37] And now, we hear today, [5:39] the prosecution say, [5:41] that they're withdrawing the articles [5:43] and delegations [5:45] doon sa confidential funds. [5:47] So, yes, [5:48] it goes into the very right of the respondent to do process. [5:52] At kung ano man ang gagawin ng hukuman ito, [5:56] sa paglilitis na ito, [5:57] hindi lang respondent ang apektado dito. [5:59] Dahil, [6:00] ano man ang mangyari sa hukuman na ito, [6:02] ito ang mensahe [6:04] na ibinibigay natin sa taong bayan, [6:06] ito ang ehemplo at modelo [6:08] na sinasabi natin sa mamamayang Pilipino [6:11] na pwede ito. [6:13] Pwede itong gawin sa vicepresidente ninyo. [6:16] Kaya pwede rin itong gawin [6:17] sa kahit kanino sa inyo. [6:20] Kapag kayo ang naharap sa isang pagsasakdal. [6:24] Hindi ko namin papayagan yan.
