"you're making money but it seems like you never have any so i made more money and my life didn't change i had the best car in the hood but i parked a mercedes in front of a small house in the hood we were taught the ten commandments we weren't taught like the money commandments let's get into the..."

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: you're making money but it seems like you never have any so i made more money and my life didn't change i had the best car in the hood but i parked a mercedes in front of a small house in the hood we were taught the ten commandments we weren't taught like the money commandments let's get into [00:00:15] Speaker 2: the money commandments i eat out about five to six times a week rich people don't budget when [00:00:20] Charles Nooner: we go to eat like we just buy what we want charles that is dangerous the spending always follows the earning so for her birthday i got her escalate which was absolutely ridiculous how bad do you [00:00:33] Speaker 1: really want to go from being poor to rich could you just go to work depends on where you live bro [00:00:42] Charles Nooner: if you're making money it seems like you should have some money because you're gainfully employed but every time you look at the bank account it's the same amount and when i was working at the cheesecake factory the reason i got so frustrated and i got fed up is because every single year it seemed like i was in the same financial situation every single year meaning i was working at the job for six years and i literally was in the same financial situation for the entire six years it seems like if you make money over a six year ten year period you should be better off financially year 10 than you are year one but that wasn't the case for me until we learned some of these principles today i got charles nooner here [00:01:26] Speaker 1: what's up man what's up dave everything's up how are you i'm good man i i got i got some power money strategies that i want to share today like that could change people's lives forever [00:01:38] Charles Nooner: forever forever forever yeah okay before you do that tell me a story where you realize you didn't have [00:01:46] Speaker 1: it figured out financially so i made more money and my life didn't change i made more money i couldn't move to a better house so i'm living in the hood i finally climbed my way up the corporate ladder but i couldn't move i had the best car in the hood i was the best dressed in the hood but i parked a mercedes in front of a small house in the hood i could i couldn't figure it out financially it was tough and you see that like if like just think about the ghettos of the world you see the best car you see some of the the latest and most expensive cars you see people that live i'm going to just use the word hood that live in the hood dress the best based on the school right some people that live in really good neighborhoods but they get out dressed by the people that live in the projects [00:02:40] Charles Nooner: yeah and it took me a while that's crazy think about this too if you go to any jordan release you go to a footlocker early in the morning there is a line wrapped around the block at seven in the morning yeah for the new jordan's now the jordan's are going to be about 250 dollars do you think there are any millionaires or multi-millionaires in that line no but think about this the people that are buying these 250 jordan's are probably people who have a little more than 250 dollars to their name and i'm not saying it in a negative way because i was that person i would go spend if i only got a little bit of money i just spend the rest yeah i mean i don't we'll just spend [00:03:30] Speaker 1: what we got on the shoes and that is fascinating it is man um i i know why though we just weren't taught better we were taught the ten commandments we were taught a lot of things but we weren't taught like the money commandments like the money rules that we should be living by who aren't taught and that's why people in the projects dress the best let's get into the money commandments what you got one of the things i i want to start with this one because it's the easiest and i feel like my journey from being poor to finally making it this is one of the things that really helped me and people today will struggle with this the most because of the convenience so i call it cooking once eating twice break that down somehow we've gotten away from cooking cooking once eating twice cook once take leftovers for work eat cook enough so that you can eat the leftovers the next day don't tell me they don't taste better the next day and please don't tell me right i'm passionate about this because i get pushed back on this don't tell me it costs the same to buy food and cook it than it does to eat out that only happens when you don't factor in the leftovers that second meal [00:04:59] Charles Nooner: so all right so we're talking to people who want to get out of a financial rut especially this nasty season that's coming upon us bro yeah it's the holiday shopping season it is the worst season i i i think it's the worst season of the year because people are so pressured and we'll get into it another time but people are so pressured to spend everything they have for people that they claim they love and this is how they're showing their love yeah but for this this conversation is for what to do with [00:05:34] Speaker 1: your money so the first thing is to cook cook once eat twice or three times right um and and here's why it's more challenging today than ever and i have a solution for it too we got doordash we got seamless we got uber eats there's all these apps that make it convenient but we're paying fees for those we're only eating once when we do that the costs are actually more than what the actual meal is if you [00:06:02] Charles Nooner: went to the store and got it let's i'm gonna i'm gonna look this up on chat what do you think what do you think the uh the average amount oh i'm not saying hey chat what how many times a week does the average no don't look it up bro don't don't look i'm gonna have you guess okay i'm gonna have you guess because i don't know the answer but i'm having you shoot this one chat for the average person middle class person we're talking about middle class right people who make money but they don't [00:06:35] Speaker 1: have any or are we talking about lower income we could go low to middle low to mid okay let's try it [00:06:42] Charles Nooner: so hey chap what is the average amount someone living in america eats out that's low to mid income range how many times do they eat out restaurants fast food picking up a pizza quick trip how many times what do you think what's your number the average four to five four to five times a week yeah and are we talking just dinner nah just eating out like breakfast i gotta go seven to seven to nine [00:07:16] Speaker 1: because lunch star and dinner lunch dinner starbucks is out right yeah guys what happened to the coffee mugs what happened to the coffee mug like why we get away from coffee bringing your coffee to work in a mug [00:07:32] Charles Nooner: coffee coffee coffee coffee mug sales have plummeted in the last 10 years this is what i'm talking [00:07:41] Speaker 1: about like society makes it hard for us but the principles are still the same if we follow these principles we will be fine we just we just follow the trends as opposed to the principles and that's what [00:07:56] Charles Nooner: hurts us when you are working in corporate like what was your relationship with eating out [00:08:04] Speaker 1: i ate out every day because i made more money so i ordered more food and i ate out more when i didn't have it um i definitely cooked more and you eat nicer food of course you eat the things that you've never eaten before when you have more money which is why you have people that are actually have actually climbed the corporate ladder but can't get out the hood [00:08:34] Charles Nooner: um and i want y'all to calculate we got a in studio audience so i want you to just think about how many times i'm gonna ask you in a second how many times you eat out so here's what chat says one of the clearest measurements comes from the usda which found that american adults average three to seven meals per week prepared away from home and it's 2017 to 2020 data so that's not that's from 2017 to 2020 [00:09:04] Speaker 1: is the only thing that they have i was close though i said seven to nine but that was also pre-pandemic [00:09:11] Charles Nooner: yeah that was pre i don't know was there a doordash in 20 when did doordash come out that's a great question but over the last six years we got we got yo you know what it's getting bad for instacart too because people order groceries which is still a tax on cooking at home yeah so i don't [00:09:34] Speaker 1: like to order groceries because they charge more for sure the sizes are not what you what they see online look at our studio audience y'all ever order the same thing you got in your fridge and then it comes the small size and you're like i was paying i was ordering by price because i know such and such cost 10.99 but they gave me the small as opposed to what i normally pay so yeah there's a lot to that how [00:10:01] Charles Nooner: many times do we eat out and introduce yourself as well hi my name is dr nicole i we eat out on [00:10:08] Speaker 4: thursdays thursdays is eat out but of course there's the creep so probably last week it was [00:10:14] Charles Nooner: like three times so thursdays is like what you and your family like go out to a restaurant we no we bring we order out and eat at home oh yeah order like no cooking got it got it and so friday the only food you eat you don't stop it chick-fil-a you don't do none of that but now that you say it the kids [00:10:32] Speaker 4: want chick-fil-a fries then somebody wants a chipotle burrito it's every day isn't it they want sushi [00:10:40] Charles Nooner: after school if we think about it it's probably someone i know for sure someone in my house eats [00:10:46] Speaker 2: out every day of course okay what about y'all hi my name is tony and i would say i eat out about five to six times a week at least at least wow did y'all eat out today what'd you eat we get the mic get the mic actually for breakfast i had a aki and kalaloo at the jamaican restaurant okay and then i had [00:11:11] Charles Nooner: oh yeah smooth you make jamaican food for breakfast yeah they have a breakfast food okay that's their [00:11:17] Speaker 2: that's their version of breakfast okay aki and kalaloo yeah okay you had the aki and kalaloo what else and then i had a smoothie they had a smoothie for like for lunch you're at a 30 bar for the day yeah that's two right about how much is that all you got about 30. oh man what probably about 20 yeah just [00:11:37] Speaker 5: okay did you eat out today i ate out today because he i'm dr lisa co-host of the saying yes again podcast so yes my husband did bring me the same kalaloo oh yes so i ate the same thing this morning i didn't even think about that so i did eat out today what about the smoothie for lunch i didn't have a smoothie for lunch no but typically we do i cook i do most of the cooking so we do eat a lot at home um i think most of the eating out is probably when he's at work i work from home so i don't eat out as much but yeah [00:12:11] Charles Nooner: what do you think you spend eating out per month a roundabout if we're just gonna guess [00:12:20] Speaker 2: i'd say at least i'd say this is the mic i would i would estimate somewhere in the neighborhood of about 200 250 a month bro you spent 30 30 the day yeah yeah i'm being uh [00:12:38] Speaker 1: budget is a quarter spent already you can't eat out for the whole you got one more meal in one day [00:12:45] Speaker 4: tracking it on thursdays it's like 250 but there's when i put in the other stuff probably like 500. if you think about it if you think about it here's what i want y'all to do as [00:12:58] Charles Nooner: y'all watching this and this this joint hurt my heart when i saw it i went through my bank statement yeah and i want everybody to do this will you get a second we all get home like go through your bank statement or you can do it now if you want go through your bank statement and just start calculating how much you spent last month on not groceries not like not like any other thing other than eating out just look through it you will be shocked yes you will be shocked yeah that is the number one financial move that most people can make to really change their lives financially i got a better one [00:13:41] Speaker 1: talk to me and i'm gonna say this to you and hopefully you'll agree um so that people can understand we just have to and why i said these things will change your life forever we just have to change these things enough once you get i'm gonna say rich you don't have to do these things again so poor people to get rich would you agree they need to start to budget say that one more time they need for poor people to get rich one of the things they need to do is start budgeting yes once you get rich do you no longer budget you have to budget especially you budget would you agree you budget less once you make it you do but you shouldn't okay so the answer is here's my point when you're when you're poor you have to budget to get rich but you only have to do it until you get there once you get there when you go on vacation you don't count what you're spending you just spend because you finally made it and this is what i mean these principles can change your life forever you can eat out every day of the week when you make it like once you change these things get these financial principles down rich people don't budget when we go to eat like we just buy what we want when it's time to shop or do something we don't we don't rarely look at prices we typically just get it now becoming rich will change the person you are so that you don't yearn for a bunch of things that are unnecessary because you've mastered budgeting and you've mastered some of these principles but charles that is dangerous [00:15:28] Charles Nooner: it is because i have seen more people than not make more money and the spending always follows the earning right meaning you'll spend more when you earn more when you start when you feel like you got a little bit less you start spending less right agreed when you start making more and you start spending more if you don't apply the same thing that got you to this financial level eventually your overhead will be so crazy bro we saw paul pierce he said he made 200 million dollars in the league and he's [00:16:07] Speaker 1: struggling financially yeah that's why i say cash is trash you need investments that's a fact you like we we're seeing now a number of basque x basketball players that have car dealerships we're seeing as basketball players with restaurants cash is trash now imagine paul pierce 200 million dollars let's just say for example invested in stocks invested in real estate and had a cash producing asset that was you're paying him every month the thing with athletes they can they can afford to buy like expensive real estate in expensive areas where people care about their credit and they pay their [00:16:47] Charles Nooner: rent on time but imagine this imagine this he made no investment let's let's say he didn't make any investments but let's just say he lived by some some sort of budget some sort of guard rails yeah he wouldn't have to invest in a car dealership 200 million dollars simply because he didn't or he thought basically what you said is once you get rich we just spend well you buying the biggest steak at a steakhouse or you going into a louis store and just shopping going crazy is the same thing as paul pierce going to buy another lamborghini it's the same thing because he is a high high earner right correct [00:17:33] Speaker 1: so i think budgeting applies across the board it does and um i i say cash is trash cash flow is everything for sure so had he invested in something that would produce money for him great he could still have those same habits now athletes and artists i say are the exception to some of these financial principles because they don't have to they don't have to learn and master these to get rich they they skip leveled them they skip leveled they went straight to they were broke to rich and that's why oftentimes they come back down the fastest a hundred percent so these principles can change people's lives forever if they follow each of them absolutely okay y'all got a budget yes [00:18:22] Charles Nooner: is it a strict budget y'all stick to it will you okay i ain't mad at that give me number two what's number two number two looking good without [00:18:34] Speaker 1: going broke and i say that specifically for hair hair hair hair in our community is a problem i love there are sewing weaves or sewing hairstyles that cost a thousand dollars and i'm gonna tell you guys i'm gonna say this for the ladies i'm gonna say this for the men ladies your man doesn't like you more or less with that one thousand dollar hairstyle if your man loves you he loves you the same okay for those that don't have money right for those that don't have money i want women to do this i want them to there's there's three options i came up with right for for male and females for the men you have the option to go bald right to to like to purposely go bald because you can shave your own head yeah haircuts at barbershops range from i'm gonna say forty dollars to two hundred and fifty dollars right how much you pay how much your haircuts down brother i do mine i'm not myself make sure but but do you do you know how have you heard what they what i have [00:19:56] Speaker 2: heard i've i have heard as high as fifty dollars fifty for a baldy you line your joint up to yourself [00:20:02] Speaker 1: yeah i do mine myself good job thank you so fifty dollars for a baldy i'm not sure that's the actual [00:20:08] Speaker 2: style but i've just heard rumors of fifty dollars for sure thinking that was really high okay give me [00:20:14] Charles Nooner: some prices of haircuts you've heard yeah 40 like mine is mines is 40. okay my cuts 40 bucks um if i have to you know if they travel to you it's like a hundred yeah it's like a hundred 150 it depends but yeah [00:20:29] Speaker 1: not for sure you you want it here's the thing our young people that are poor are getting and this is the young people i'm not going to say who because i we all know one of my one of my family members i'm not going to say who i'll be talking about this is a kid he gets the black thing in his thing i'm like dude your hairline even receding you're 20. he's like oh no that's just like that's just the style and i'm like so y'all getting paint and your hair like you're not receding and i see this so the 20 year olds 25 30 year olds in our community y'all don't need to paint you're not even balding it looks a little cool but still like stop doing stop getting the hundred dollar haircuts you're like women like and and this is for my guys women like who you are they really love your swag the haircut is not making the women like that you're with like you more or less but here's the thing here's the thing here's the [00:21:28] Charles Nooner: thing okay i there's something to that a fresh haircut a woman will tell you a fresh haircut do something and when when he got that fresh cut yes it do like when your man you're gonna get haircuts oh he goes to the chinese twelve dollars oh talk to me i don't talk to now we onto something he's a black [00:21:50] Speaker 4: man he found he said the black ones was forty dollars disorganized can't waiting forever he there's [00:21:58] Speaker 1: some chinese people that are cutting hair for 12 the agents is the 12 they be winning they don't they know how they know how right they know how but there is i mean okay so you feel better you do feel better you feel better now compare that feeling because haircuts fade in two days right compare that feeling to having the money in your bank account so if if haircuts are fifty dollars we're getting haircuts once a week that's two hundred dollars compare that over the course of a year that's twelve hundred dollars compare the feeling of having an additional twelve hundred dollars in your bank account yeah to that two to sometimes dave especially if the paint washes off right you only get into one or two day you get the the day you have it into the next day you still fresh but after that it kind of fades yeah [00:22:52] Charles Nooner: now i'm pushing back on it even though i do cut my hair i don't go to the barbershop and if it's a special event then i'll go get my hair cut okay like if i want like the sharp you know i want i want to get it right then you know i have a baldy too so okay i just cut it at the crib so here's the solutions i'm actually getting frustrated with that i really want to get the little laser joint so i don't got to cut my hair no more it just takes too long here's the solutions right fellas we can start growing our [00:23:18] Speaker 1: hair out right if you if if like like grow it out and get a shape up versus a full haircut that will save you money so if you're in love with the freshness of going to the barber shop every week get one haircut get a shape up get another haircut get a shape up that's a solution for the fellas that's [00:23:38] Charles Nooner: 40. the haircut first off the shape up isn't the shape up less the lineup is less the the whole cut [00:23:45] Speaker 1: might be let's say 40. that lineup is 25. it's something it's a it's a it gives you an extra meal [00:23:53] Charles Nooner: to order yeah it gives you extra for sure and we're also but but we're talking about in general looking good spending money to look good some people will argue that looking good means i feel good and i'm not willing to skip on the finances to feel good that's that that is not true because when we really think [00:24:18] Speaker 1: about the wealthy they don't care how they look more importantly than they care about how they feel knowing that their family is taken taken care of for the rest of their lives knowing that their children's children are taken care of you know when poor people have a baby in the hood it's like the parents have a heart attack oh my gosh she done went out and got pregnant when rich people can't find out their kids are pregnant it's a blessing they're so happy they can't wait till the baby comes right the reaction people are in the in the hood are scared to tell their parents that they got pregnant because they don't have the financial means to support it they know it's going to be a burden get rich and tell your parent tell your father or tell somebody like me that they're going to have grandchildren or more i'm super happy i'm like yes the legacy lives on right because we got assets to pay for it yeah so i'll say this rich people dress how they want you already feel good the feel compare the feeling of looking good for the day oftentimes bro we not even wearing the same stuff so we might go buy a bunch of new stuff if you're on social media you really not wearing it a whole bunch of times [00:25:32] Charles Nooner: because you posted it am i right or wrong for most part me i don't care so i just you don't care dave [00:25:39] Speaker 1: i'm gonna i'm gonna let the secret out dave you're rich that's why yeah yeah i don't really care you [00:25:44] Charles Nooner: don't care at the at the time where you're trying to get to it man you you want to you know be put [00:25:50] Speaker 1: together you want to look nice you want to look you know i guess so here's the thing here's the thing you only have to do it until you get rich once you once you make it yes you can get your hair done every day yes you can get your nails done um ladies could get the gel acrylic whatever that stuff is that like you could get all of that but right now when you trying to get there dave your money should be going into income producing assets and i'm gonna ask the fellas this fellas does it matter to you if your woman has the gel acrylic diamonds polka dots uh characters on her nails yes or no [00:26:38] Speaker 2: no i don't i don't really get into all the diamonds and the nails i like to do we care we don't even [00:26:44] Charles Nooner: like like don't put it out there but here's the crazy part they'll even get mad if you don't notice that's how much we don't care it's like i didn't even see it so this is what i'm saying like look [00:26:54] Speaker 1: good without going broke here's what here's my recommendation on that too to break it down a little further so fellas i was saying you know you grow your hair out you can get braids you can get locks they're all in they're all cool right women you can do similar things to your hair maybe less simple less expensive or less frequently and for the nails you can go to cvs or walgreens get your own manicure pedicure set you can do your nails at home and you can afford to do different colors every day of the week if you just bought your own nail polish you still could freak it you could still have the matching just do it yourself ladies yeah now now before she answers let me let me preface let me preface this did your parents do that when you were growing up do what did they do did they do their own nails or did you start off doing your nails and now you got a job and you got a little money now you got [00:27:55] Speaker 5: to go somewhere else to get them done talk to me give me your thoughts yeah so i mean i grew up in brooklyn so yes in inner city we did our nails at home my mom did her nails i did my nails at home if you did go for a manicure it had to be a special occasion it's easter or something you know where they paid for you i guess to get your nails done so um yeah but i think there's something about just presentation right with your with your nails and push back and feeling here and feeling good get [00:28:24] Speaker 1: good at it get good at keep doing it because you can't tell me on easter sunday when you did your nails or your mom did your nails or your aunt did your nails or your hair don't let me go to the hair with the hot comb on the stove you can't tell me those weren't some of the prettiest girls back in the days best dress best hair that's that there ever was am i right is that a skill set that we lost that [00:28:52] Speaker 5: we can get back to yeah it's a it's definitely a skill set that we lost i think that you know the times that we live in right now you mentioned convenience you know it's not convenient to sit at home and spend hours on your hair because i mean it literally spent hours right you wash your hair you got to blow dry it then somebody has to straighten it then they have to put you know with the hot comb then you got to do the curl the curling iron so i mean that it takes it takes a while because my wife [00:29:19] Charles Nooner: goes to get her hair done she still spends hours so i can't i can't buy that one right but it's still that but your point was we don't have time to spend hours but women you still spend hours it's just [00:29:31] Speaker 1: somebody else doing it oh my gosh now let's talk my man's like you're correct now now let's really break it down because we really want to help people what's the average cost of a hair style or what's the average cost of a trip to the hairdresser give me the range low end to the highest you've heard [00:29:49] Speaker 5: um i guess it depends on what kind of style you're getting but i guess the low range would probably be 75 and that's really really low 75 dollars the highest would be three four hundred dollars you know especially do you normally get the 70 or the 400 yeah do you normally get the 70 or the 400 oh for me yeah i do i do my hair now a lot myself so i'm not in the salon like i used to be um so i do i get braids sometimes or i'll just kind of do my hair at home when i do take a trip to the salon i visit my stylist that does my hair naturally and that's probably like a hundred hundred dollars who pays for it you or your husband who pays for it i pay for it [00:30:39] Speaker 1: very irrelevant question but let's hear from her because i want to get this different perspective [00:30:45] Speaker 4: right because hers let's hear well no i i found the cheat code i started going to the hair school okay the students aveda it's the students their teachers are watching and it'll be like if i want to get highlights in a trim and a blowout it'll be about 50 dollars but now it can get a little bit [00:31:07] Speaker 1: sometimes you know i had an uneven cut one time now let me ask you this did people notice you had an [00:31:15] Charles Nooner: uneven cut no are you in a relationship yes did he mind no did your husband come up like oh my right [00:31:24] Speaker 1: right right right like what changed what specifically changed in your life outside of you saving that money when you got a not so 10 out of 10 uh hairstyle nothing i mean it's the it's the women that notice [00:31:42] Speaker 4: we probably do it for the women because the woman will be like oh she's nuts that's oh it's not yeah [00:31:49] Speaker 1: they're not doing it for their husband to like spice things up well he gonna like this but they're doing it for some for the other women charles you're cooking right now so if we take away so so now so now one one damn damn there's a flex so we could take that flex away because y'all getting dressed and everything for the for the women we didn't even talk about braids right braids are super popular braids are expensive as heck yeah yeah and it's so popular in the hood it's so popular amongst the poor people and i'm saying like if we could just fix some of these if we could just pull back on some of these and dave did you know but braids braids one in the long run is cheaper cheaper than what than getting your hair done every week my wife gets some braids for women that's not my specialty [00:32:46] Speaker 4: yeah bro this might explain it to them yeah because you're like it's a protective you're not doing [00:32:52] Speaker 1: something for another two months maybe right yeah and how but are they double the cost because i'm even learning when you go get braids you gotta pay for the braid they don't even give you the braids the hair you mean yeah they don't even give you the hair to the right place [00:33:11] Charles Nooner: or like a weave or something explain explain the numbers yeah so i i probably i've started getting [00:33:17] Speaker 5: braids myself recently so i pay about 160 dollars i get these medium knotless braids that what comes with the hair and that lasts i usually keep them in for about four weeks five weeks some women will go even longer than that but so you get a good wear out of you know great and it's a protective style like she mentioned you know women we have especially black women you know we have to take care of our natural hair if that's the state we want to keep it in so braids is helpful in that [00:33:48] Charles Nooner: sense yeah and it's low maintenance so you don't have to worry about the actual hair itself so there's some value in that too charles okay if you don't have it can we go au natural if you don't have it for [00:34:01] Speaker 1: show if you don't have it right like let's go natural for a little bit it's again these are temporary fixes that can change your life forever i like i only want people to get enough money to start to save enough money to make investments to put that money to work for you i have nothing against thousand dollar uh hairstyles i got nothing against the black paint that guys do um even caught and i i was talking about my son he comes he has a barber come to the house his haircuts 250. his dad's rich huh his dad's rich no i don't pay for he knows he has to pay i'm not paying for two no heck no i'm not paying for 250 i've never had a 250 haircut there's no way i'm paying he pays for it for himself but i still tell him like dude that's a waste of money for sure it isn't they like you anyway i think swagger outweighs look for women in a lot of instances where men could scale back like clothes aren't making the man it's like what you say is how you carry yourself um hair is not making the man right the car isn't necessarily making the man the cars are attracting women that want guys with cars but you really want a woman to like you for you if you build your character you're a nice guy you can make women laugh you have great conversation like you can get women without all the things that we spend a lot of money [00:35:26] Charles Nooner: on unless you can't you said unless you can yeah brother some people i mean they've been dweebs their whole life and they gotta go spend some money on a nice car they gotta spend some money on the [00:35:38] Speaker 1: appearance they could work on character and this is why i'm gonna say some of this right this is why we see ugly men with the most beautiful women they really like it's not always money they really like those guys yeah and women could comment in the comments like i'll ask this question have you ever dated an ugly guy because you really really like them sometimes they say yes it's not always about looks sure but when we're poor we think it's about looks we think we have to have the jordans [00:36:12] Charles Nooner: right we think that's why they like us that's not why i agree i agree okay all right number three number three these are the strategies y'all i need y'all to comment in the chat i need to i need to know how y'all feel about this conversation sometime uh you know throughout the conversation because uh i have the most fun with charles on this couch bro yeah because i know how to go from poor to rich [00:36:37] Speaker 1: and i know how to go from porch to rich the long way yeah i don't know the shortcut i i've never i've clawed and fought my way i've stayed up late nights thinking about this stuff like i really did it and when you make it these are some of the things you look back at you like oh you don't gotta buy that you don't gotta 250 you crazy they already like you they like you for who you are she like you because you're a ball player right you understand a lot more and you look back and a lot of us if you look back at the jewelry and the things you bought when you were younger you're like why did i buy that like what made me buy that because now you know better so we could teach people better now temporarily i want you guys to do these things until you make it it's just to get enough money this is all i want you to do i'm not saying like don't get fresh at the barbershop i'm not saying don't do your nail i'm just saying wait for a season give me a season to where you save that money and invest it my preferential investment is land we'll talk about that another time you can invest in anything you want as long as your money is multiplying for you is working for you land is a super accelerator but if you want to do anything else with it as long as you're investing it you will be able to enjoy those things later i love it all right let's go to number three all right this one's gonna hurt um but we all started out this way and we never went back the car you got the car payment you got the car maintenance you got the car insurance you got gas you got tolls you got tickets let's add those things up and see how much money are we spending on the car and then start to see is there a train route is there a bus route is there a co-worker that lives close enough to me where for a season you're laughing because you hate this one you're laughing because you hate this one can we get a season where if we don't if we've been at the job for 10 years we're not accumulating any money our savings are depleted but we're making more and we just don't have it can we get rid of the 500 car payment the 250 insurance like let's add up our gas bill you have a tesla if you look at how much you charge it's still 20 30 40 50 if you charge at home i gotta unveil this ugly truth your electric bill is higher so you're not saving money with a tesla either yes i am [00:39:21] Charles Nooner: you stop it right now exactly yes i am how long have you had your tesla since 2022 2023 okay have you [00:39:31] Speaker 1: gotten less battery out of a full charge have you gotten less miles out of a full charge no i don't think so so when you first started you're getting 462 miles and today you full charge you're getting [00:39:41] Charles Nooner: 462 miles well i don't full charge so you go 80 i go 80 i have a test i know so i bro i charge it at the crib i drive around to do whatever i'm doing then i go home but yes my electricity bill went up okay but not nearly amount of money that my wife spends in gas not even i agree i agree with you i don't disagree [00:40:04] Speaker 1: with you and my car is paid off however thank you i love that i love that no interest interest is the devil but let's think about this for a season what's the average car payment can you guys share [00:40:21] Charles Nooner: 500 550 yo i saw a stat insurance instagram i saw something on instagram that said uh that a lot it was some big number where people's car notes are over a thousand dollars now if you add it all up it's ridiculous i'm gonna find it okay what is the average american spending on a car note and also where did i see that article where people are saying their car notes are over a thousand dollars and my so very interesting and this was dumb so i'm actually filling on this my wife she wants an suv and you know she's like oh we got to get the kids and if we want to take a trip we want to you know pack all the stuff so for our birthday i got her escalated which was absolutely [00:41:13] Speaker 1: ridiculous okay why she doesn't want the kids kicking her i i'm i championed the escalade she doesn't want the kids kicking in the back of the seat they're gonna kick the back and see anyway you're gonna feel it you can move that not an escalade you could move one seat back and they can't reach it escalate compared to what but yeah yelling in the air that car note twenty two hundred dollars [00:41:37] Charles Nooner: okay it's a hundred something thousand dollar truck but but here's what happened so and it worked out it worked out well because um when we first got it something was going on with the little dash the little um what's it called the what's the little the little screen the touch screen yeah the little touch the screen whatever so it was like blinking and it like wasn't working so we took it back like it's brand new truck so they fixed it gave us back to us a few weeks later it starts acting up again we take it back they fix it give it back to us again it starts you know this process happened over like a two and a half two two year period probably like six or seven times which makes it a limit so what they had to do was long story short they had to buy the escalate back for uh what they they bought us they bought us out and also had to give us a certain percentage of the payments so we wound up giving the car back and they gave me 25 000. now we don't have the truck anymore we only have the tesla and we got this 2016 lexus which my wife has been driving now we're looking for another vehicle but i would not get another two thousand dollar car note no matter what so but she's finding something some other nice i wanted to get a mini van because i think vans are cool but she doesn't want to be a [00:43:00] Speaker 1: soccer mom i agree again talk to her i'm gonna see this episode now let me ask you this for the people that really want to make it and and i think to make it from being poor to being um financially set you have to really want it so these things aren't going to be easy right thinking you thinking you going on a date and you just cut your own hair you got the fresh baldy and thinking taking away that feeling of spending sixty dollars and and believing that she's going to like you the same is hard because i know how it is getting a haircut they just i know how the feeling is i know the feeling of eating out i know what that feels like to order some things and leave a nice tip it's a nice feeling i know the feeling of sleeping in a little bit later jumping in the car and getting to your destination and then going somewhere else and then you get to stop by other people's events and you get to be all over the place now that you have a car so these things aren't easy but do you think people that really want it could they rethink the car situation and maybe find public transportation as a means a temporary means to actually doing some things better financially to making it [00:44:19] Charles Nooner: yeah look at this the latest numbers um say more than one in five americans financing a new vehicle now have a car payment of one thousand dollars or more per month 21.2 of americans have a car note of over a thousand dollars and the average monthly car note for a new car is seven hundred eighty seven dollars for a used car is five hundred eighty two dollars that's insane so it's not that we don't have it [00:44:53] Speaker 1: it's not that we don't have it it's not it's not that we can't do it it's how bad do you really want to go from being poor to rich i think anybody could do it but but can you can you for a season and dave thank you for giving me that term can you for a season not go not go so many places could you just go to work go home depends on where you live bro so to an extent geographically yes it is harder in rural places however can we figure it out can we figure out the bus route can we carpool right can we say i can't make that because i don't have a car right now you don't have to say i don't have a car you say i don't have a car right now i'm trying to work on some things financially so i'm not going to be able to make your event can we do that we can but but what a way to live but we won't but is it not convenient or but do we just don't want it that bad do we not is america not caring enough do we care enough to say like no i'm just not going to make everything that's a good point bro what you think [00:46:04] Charles Nooner: i like i i do think some people that are listening to this need to take heed and we don't necessarily need that car and you are in a city where you can take the bus but pride and arrogance and what people [00:46:20] Speaker 1: think all right so we're we're uncovering some of the ugly truths about being poor and and why we're poor sometimes pride arrogance we want to look good we want to feel good but we have to ask ourselves how does being broke feel after working for a company for 10 years and you're still broke like how does that feel can we can we start to compare the feeling of being broke or the feeling of being on a bus for one day not long for a season to actually being able to make it and make the decision of what kind of car you want or what kind of um hairstyle you want or honey what do we want to eat at night do you feel like asian italian thai jamaican for my guy right like like honey what you want to eat where you want to go because after the season is up after the season is up dave you know you know a lifestyle where you can look your wife in the eye and say babe where you want to go and you could spin a globe and wherever it lands you can literally go there does that exist that exists is it a real thing it's real if the people really want it it's there and i'm uncovering the opportunities that we have but we have to get over being arrogant we have to get over looking good for our season right we we just have to understand that we can adapt these seven power principles these power money commandments that i came up with and you can get there too i love that let's go to number four number four is going to be and this one is big uh you talk about this a lot right i hear you talk about this a lot and um as i came up with these this helped saving a little so every little bit of money helps because interest in our favor can compound the same way it compounds when we have it on the other side and a credit card or when we're being charged from a bank or from a credit card a lending institution they're charging us 23 but if we found an investment vehicle that would give us 23 percent interest on our money then that ten dollars that sometimes you may just say oh you could just spend the rest of it or you upcharge something or buy something else like if we started to save a little that habit of saving and investing micro investments or small amounts is the same principle that will allow you when you get there to stay there because you now have the habits and have become the person that's financially aware that does see the value and not spending all of it so you get a credit card with a thousand dollars you don't max it out you don't max it out you get a bonus check right yeah do something nice for your lady do something nice for the kids oftentimes men are last do something nice for you but don't spend all of it like let's just let's ration it a little bit bar bro don't spend all of it [00:49:40] Charles Nooner: that's been one of my uh one of the statements that really carried me through even working at the cheesecake factory uh while i was working at olive garden someone told me don't spend it all and it seems like elementary it sounds like oh well of course we shouldn't spend it all but that rang in my head and i remember having a certain amount of money and that phrase stuck with me hey don't spend it all but i also got a chance to see someone spend it all and they always spend it all they don't have any money listen we are now yo listen credit cards and debit cards the card system itself is a nasty nasty system because we used to have the money in our hands and if i have a hundred dollars i know not to spend the hundred but now that we got cards we can't see ourselves spending it all we can't even see ourselves going we can go past zero i don't know we go past zero remember broke used to be broke remember like if you didn't have anything you just didn't have anything yeah you don't have anything but we can go straight past zero because we're swiping unconsciously yeah it's nasty [00:50:50] Speaker 1: nasty bro or even the the term and some of our kids ask us this um they ask us for stuff and then we check and we find out can we afford it just because you can afford it doesn't mean buy it yeah for sure right if you got 250 and your kids are begging you for something for 250 you say okay we have no that's not it again the same thing with kids too um the things that they ask for oftentimes don't they don't use for a long time some of us have to get back to saying no yeah say no we can't afford that right now or just not right now i like being brutally honest with kids while you're on this journey so that they understand what this season is about you can't get this right now because we're saving our money to invest in such and such so we can buy it later but i think that's the key that people miss [00:51:44] Charles Nooner: is they don't have i'm saving for something so if you are if you are saving that's one thing you're just like putting money away you got like a system to put money away but the saving for something will help accelerate it because i have a target and it hurts more when you pull from it because now you're getting further and further away so to give a formula while i was a server at the cheesecake factory i would um spend jim rowan told me this and i never forgot it i never met him but he said it in a video he said never spend 70 of what you earn he said 70 is yours to keep the 30 is not so i will put 10 10 and 10 away i'd have these envelopes at you know when i come home from my tips 10 i put in the envelope that was labeled tithe that's what i sew into my church my ministry that's that's what i give away i don't know how the principle works but it does it works the other 10 i save for my own savings account i just want to be able to see that thing grow the other 10 percent was for a business if i wanted to buy a camera that was a thousand dollars and i make it a hundred dollars on a ship i take ten dollars put it in that eventually that envelope will have a thousand dollars in it and i could buy the camera that i could make some more money but i had this system where my savings was for a rainy rainy day so if i don't know my tire blew out i need to get a new tire i pull the money for my savings if i don't have it in my 70 percent i pull the money for my savings to get the tire but the key is i always paid myself back i replenished that like if i got 60 from my savings to fix the tire once i get more money from my job i remember to take that 60 and pay my savings back and that was my system and i think most people don't have a system but that's what absolutely worked for me yeah that discipline that [00:53:46] Speaker 1: discipline now does you well right and this is what i mean start these practices small start saving with whatever it is you have start it now the discipline and the person that you become as you guys to see i didn't forget a lot of these things right that that helped me along my journey so that is you becoming the person that will do you well from when you actually make it absolutely the athletes they don't have that they they they get to skip those steps to the ladder and then when it's time to come back down they just fall straight down they can't take one step down they've never learned it all right [00:54:25] Charles Nooner: savings when when it comes to savings do y'all have where's your philosophy are you at a point where you need to save more you are in a good space of saving and i want to hear from all y'all okay um i try [00:54:36] Speaker 4: to automate it so whether it's going straight to a savings or ira or 401 just got to get out my hands because like you said when it's in that account and swiping those cards it's deadly trying to get my kids out of it because my daughter has apple pay and i need to get her back on cash so she can [00:54:58] Charles Nooner: understand absolutely side note totally unrelated i went and i had to get the tire fixed and i i gave the guy cash and my man didn't get my change he was like we don't have change like coins he owes me like 36 cents he's like yo i don't have it we don't have obsolete yeah that's crazy and then i went to uh get my i got yeah well i didn't eat out my kids love zaxby's she loves the little grills you sandwich which by the way we can make that at home but she loves zaxby's david's okay on the i know he's like [00:55:31] Speaker 1: he feels so financially aware around i don't want to say i ate out around charles okay bro but i but i [00:55:37] Charles Nooner: don't eat that anyway but anyway on the side on the the the window it showed their um their system of rounding up and down okay because they're not doing pennies it was like if we owe you six cents we're going to give you five if we owe you eight cents we're going to give you a dime it was right on the i thought that was like really fascinating so interesting yeah so your relationship with saving [00:56:02] Speaker 2: make sure you use the mic oh yes um i have she'll tell you i'm very frugal with regard to that i have a budget i have an operating account that i pay my expenses out of i have a broker a money manager where i put funds in and i don't mess with them and ultimately and we were just talking about this recently i have a goal you know what i want to save so on and so forth so that was great for me i love [00:56:25] Speaker 5: it yeah we're in the same household so i think that um he keeps me on track okay so you're better with the finances i'm getting better yes making sure that um i have a budget and save but i think you know overall i think we're in a good space you know with investments and things like that before this though what was your relationship with saving money um i mean i did save i i don't think i really stuck to a budget per se but now i'm better yeah definitely with uh with budget i love it this is a conversation [00:56:54] Charles Nooner: is it and yeah there's a um and i maybe i'll put the link somewhere i use acorns yeah i use acorn i love bro i absolutely love acorns because it just takes the change it rounds up and over the last five years bro that joint has snowballed into a nice little significant money yeah for sure absolutely okay [00:57:17] Speaker 1: number five we're on five now right so we'll do five and six uh because she brought up five so regardless of um your level of employment at your company most people are working at companies right now that have some sort of savings 401k employer match system you can be entry level if your company offers a 401k match whether it's a dollar for dollar whether it's a dollar 50 i want you guys to see the value in doing that because you can leverage your 401k for life-changing events such as buying a house so just think you might be thinking you're too small to take advantage of that or you might be thinking you make too little to take advantage of that match some companies dave are matching dollar for dollar but we're not in the season where we're willing to um make some sacrifices to put up that dollar and match it however when we think about the wealthy if they're in a situation where they can get their money multiplied and you don't have to do anything additional they're taking advantage of it the wealthy are talking about maxing out the uh the roth iras at twelve point five twelve thousand dollars maxing out your contribution they're maxing these things out where we're on the lower end and we're not taking advantage of the same things and a lot of times it's because of the arrogance the feel good the [00:58:56] Charles Nooner: temporary things that we're we're falling subject to i love it i i only have experience with that because i never had a real like a big boy job it was like servers and so what was number six you said [00:59:08] Speaker 1: you're doing five and six together oh number six um i wanted to just hop to five because she mentioned 401k number six is we got to stop the subscriptions true so we talk about netflix if you are for a season right i'm not saying don't netflix and chill i'm just saying the 23 or the 27 packages but for our season let's hold off on that i promise you those uh series are still going to be there you can catch up on them when you're out of the season spotify hip-hop is down right now r b is a little slow like let's slow down right there's not a whole lot of artists right now like our favorite artists aren't putting stuff out right now let's go to the free version it's okay to listen to a [01:00:03] Charles Nooner: commercial just take the commercial take a take just listen to the commercial what have you with your lady better y'all you know y'all try to do married things so hey buy a coca-cola you're like this is [01:00:16] Speaker 1: my point so so this is my point right the lady is not gonna like you less fellas she's still if she like you she likes you and if she doesn't like you because you got commercials playing she's not the one i promise you i promise you she ain't the one now let me ask you this before we we were subject to a lot of these subscription things right and i want to talk about the gym subscription too before we were able to to do these things right and we felt subject to a lot of the marketing some of our gym subscriptions will start you out as a at a dollar and then we get hooked on 49 a month spotify free trial no commercials you fall in love with it you make your playlist before that month ends you like my playlist is on the other side of the subscription right we were listening to pandora with commercials happily and like just getting our groove on to pandora with the commercials the subscriptions have to stop for the season i'm not saying forever i'm not saying your youtube subscription your gym subscription your door dash subscription i'm not saying they got to stop right forever for the season let's get back to commercials let's get back to maybe regular television where you're not watching netflix or whatever it is that you use for entertainment let's get back to some of those core things so we can stop spending so much money on our subscriptions i dare you guys to go into your bank account your credit card statement and add up all the subscriptions that you have that you didn't have five years ago i got one for everybody everybody here got an iphone [01:01:59] Charles Nooner: you got iphone yeah all right cool all right you got iphone right all right so go to your settings go to your settings i'm gonna have everybody do this in real time go to settings and then at the top hit your jabari you need to do it too okay especially your jabari okay go to your settings go to your settings then hit your name and then the fourth thing down is subscriptions and we will i want y'all to count how many subscriptions we have how many subscriptions you have just apple music okay not bad what you got [01:02:33] Speaker 1: jabari i cloud and quickbooks how many you got i got five what you got i got photo room vids map my run strava instagram icloud is charging me uh 1999 a month i got 29.99 what for icloud you got more more data or more stuff on yours i got apple one yeah i just got apps what's you have photo of it no vids it's like an app just do you use it subscription let me ask you no let me ask you let me ask you hold on here's [01:03:10] Charles Nooner: the thing uh mr financial guru okay how many of those can you cancel right now and it won't affect you all like oh no and there's a lot of people that's and you're in a situation where it's not you know 20 bucks yeah there's a lot of people that have a bunch of stuff that they don't even remember that [01:03:30] Speaker 1: they're being charged so yeah my netflix isn't on here for some reason but i pay it every month so i don't know who's well this is just your phone yeah yeah yeah but i have any that you don't use yeah so strava i could use the free version map my run i didn't even know i was paying for it that's the old thing before i got you cancel that right cancel right now yeah yeah yeah oh dave's gonna save me 30 come on cancel subscription how much was it look 34 a month so 34 every single month you cancel your [01:03:58] Charles Nooner: subscription yeah i like that so i'm i'm saying that because everyone listening you probably have some stuff that you're paying for that you didn't even realize you're painful which i got anybody see [01:04:08] Speaker 1: anything use the mic oh they took deep breaths too right right she was like [01:04:13] Speaker 4: canva pro cap cut chat gbt chronometer for the um food tracking icloud is there anything that you're not using um the chronometer i could take that off how much is it it well it's the year 59.99 so what is that from 60 a year about five bucks okay um i guess the cap cut i [01:04:37] Charles Nooner: don't need the you know the high end yeah i'm paying for cap cut yo i don't even use cap cap gpt does does it all now does most of our editing stuff well and i don't use cap cut i use edits app i don't ever let me cancel this right this yeah let me yo i'm canceling cap cut it's 90 a year yeah this [01:04:58] Speaker 1: conversation is so healthy this is good yeah okay what you got somebody talk to me i don't have the iphone oh oh hey look look look before we go to that the new iphone how much is it 2000 does your wife love you any less because she can't facetime you does she love you any less how's the relationship [01:05:20] Speaker 2: she complains periodically but i think that she still loves me just the same just the same like we don't [01:05:27] Speaker 1: need the latest and greatest you said two thousand dollar iphone yeah the new flip joint all right [01:05:33] Speaker 5: what you got over there okay and i usually go through this monthly to get rid of stuff but i think i can still get rid of some more so i have nine subscriptions what you got uh apple care so that's the you know protection for the stuff okay i have um i have a blinkist which is like a um uh alarm system so i need that okay uh cap cut um how often do you use i use cap cut often good okay um facetunes that's like a photo editing thing do you use it i do do you okay i cloud uh last pass which i use yeah last pass i use that um i have this motivation app i actually get rid of that [01:06:23] Charles Nooner: well y'all go to youtube put on eric thomas or hinky johnson or something like that [01:06:28] Speaker 5: but it gives me nice quotes and things like that motivation app yeah i could get rid of that how much is it uh 23.99 a month for the year for the year okay yeah and then um i have a youtube premium with no commercials yeah no commercials it's 20 a month hey man pay 20 for the comedians and not [01:06:53] Speaker 1: watching commercials yeah well here's what i'm gonna do here's what i want here's what i want everybody watching this episode and us in the room to think about one of the things that has helped contribute to my financial well-being i mastered buying pieces of land for 300 that i sell for 3 000 all the way up to five and six thousand dollars so when we think that we can't do it or we think we don't have the money or we think that it's just not for us and we weren't meant to be rich and we weren't set up to to be successful and that that whole abundance mindset is not us we're really telling ourselves that we just don't want it that bad because i think in this episode before i even reveal number seven i think in this episode we all realize we do have some money already without doing anything additional to maybe change our financial uh situations going forward yeah i agree talk about the land thing before we get to number seven so there are land land banks and some land auctions like tax sale auctions where you can buy land for minimal amounts 300 four five six hundred dollars oftentimes with land people lose it because they don't pay the taxes on it it doesn't get passed down correctly and it ends up going back to the county to own and the county can't own land they have they typically want to sell it so that they can collect taxes and things like that on the land so i've mastered finding auctions like the muncie land bank which is a land bank that has property at three hundred dollars um there's the saginaw county land bank in michigan that's where draymond green is from uh they have land that just starts at three hundred dollars so people can invest it's a matter of are you willing to now i think what we're uncovering is how bad do you want it and are we willing to sacrifice for a season [01:09:01] Charles Nooner: to get what we really want i love it so if they want more info on that how do they [01:09:07] Speaker 1: talk to you um so you can reach out to me at charles jay noonan on instagram uh my podcast the real estate newsroom where we're starting to report on some of these things and um just reach out to me and i have things right now i have a my first property challenge where i'm helping people get their first piece of land under one thousand dollars i love it i love it okay let's jump into number seven number seven is a big one and it took me a long time to figure this out but for those of you that are struggling with credit card debt i want you to look at your statement i want you to open your statements up and i want you to find out what you're being charged in interest and i want you to pay the higher interest credit cards not just the minimum but with with whatever discretionary money that you have to put towards your credit card bills pay the minimum on all the rest but attack the one that has the highest interest rate so hold on there are some people that say you should pay the lowest balance first no the highest interest because it's it's compounding and costing you more so if you have a credit card like with a thousand dollars and you're being charged ten percent interest on it you're probably being charged ten dollars a month if you have a that same thousand dollars but you're being charged seventeen percent you're being charged seventeen dollars a month for example you want to pay that one down to zero first then you're going to go to the one that's sixteen percent then fifteen percent it's okay to make the minimum payment on the credit card that you're being charged the least interest on because that one is not going to equate to at the end of the year that's going to be a hundred and eleven hundred dollars at the end of the year the other one would [01:10:54] Charles Nooner: have been seventeen hundred dollars that makes sense that makes sense i i like it i like it so really [01:11:00] Speaker 1: lay this stuff out on a spreadsheet and this is really what i did all my debt i laid everything out on a spreadsheet and i ranked it by interest being charged whatever discretionary funds you come up with and we gave you seven tips on how seven ways on how to say how to get more money out of your current paycheck put that extra money towards the highest interest first it will help you get out [01:11:24] Charles Nooner: of debt much faster i love it i love this is good conversation bro this is a good conversation and i think people don't they think about their situation and they believe that they're going to get out of their situation but there's no strategy or we don't really think about the situation we're in like yeah i'm going to get out of it one day one day things are going to get better but we don't think about where we are when i think about the things that okay maybe i don't need to eat out every day and then we realize through a conversation like this you know what i'm spending eight hundred dollars a month eating out that's where my wealth is going yeah i could spend that same three hundred dollars in groceries and cooking and be able to put five hundred dollars to this high interest credit card so i think [01:12:08] Speaker 1: all these principles um work together man so this is good bro they're very important for us as we climb the ladder some of us think we have to get get a promotion to make it but we're seeing we're living the same way our boss is he's not living better than us even though he makes more money because he [01:12:25] Charles Nooner: hasn't mastered the seven principles of money well said any any feedback any any uh give me all takeaways real quick at being our in studio audience and make sure you use the mic um so some takeaways that i i [01:12:39] Speaker 5: think i'm going away with is that we can find discretionary monies if we just look at sort of things that we spend on a regular basis like you said eating out subscriptions so we can start really [01:12:50] Speaker 2: basic right there got it love it thank you yeah i uh i really wasn't thinking about how much i was eating out you know and and then putting that into like an aggregate sense but i'm glad that you you brought [01:13:04] Speaker 4: that up that's very important you know and yeah um i like how you put things in seasons because it's like if you think oh my god i can never eat out i have to take the bus all this time but if you think of it in seasons then i think it makes it much more it motivates you more absolutely yeah let's think [01:13:25] Charles Nooner: about this and for those who's watching this list maybe 2027 is that season for you i mean can we go 12 months we spend 12 months really tightening the belt really locking in and i believe if that's going to be the season you'll naturally make more money because you have less time for the foolishness it's more times where people are invited you out to eat you say no i can't go and you're working on your business you're working on your brand you're working on your product or your service and i think one area of your life locked in it starts to lock in other areas too so maybe and somebody just just comment in the comments just comment 2027 if you believe 2027 just needs to be a year where we just lock in and the problem i think charles is we can't really see past today we can't see tomorrow so we're like oh my gosh 2027 i can't lock in for the year because maybe they think that 2028 won't be here but if we can see what 2028 is like it will be here look at the situation we'll be in if we really really take control of our lives in this next 12 months it's good bro thank you thank you he said he sent me the topic of conversation i said yeah you want to something charles man let everybody know how to get in touch with you man it's another incredible financial fridays uh close us out brother on [01:14:51] Speaker 1: instagram at charles j
