[0:00] of transparency, and we believe in transparency.
[0:02] And I think it's good for you to see certain aspects
[0:05] of Camp David. It's a very special place.
[0:07] But it was not, I guess, the last visit was with Eisenhower,
[0:12] where they allowed you onto the actual campus.
[0:14] And it's a long time ago, but never into this room.
[0:18] I want to thank all of you for being here.
[0:21] And again, this is a cabinet meeting.
[0:23] It's open. We've done a lot of open cabinet meetings.
[0:27] And I feel it works out very well.
[0:29] Everybody can ask me. We'll let you talk about certain things,
[0:34] certain things we can't answer because they're ongoing
[0:37] and very important.
[0:39] But this is one of the most talented teams ever
[0:41] to serve the United States and in the United States.
[0:45] This is a talented group of people.
[0:47] Let's see. I'll go one after another.
[0:50] Yeah, it's a couple of steps, but that's okay.
[0:54] It's an amazing group in America.
[0:56] It's safer and stronger and far more successful
[1:00] than it was two years ago.
[1:02] But I think, frankly, that it ever was.
[1:03] I don't think it's ever been anything like this.
[1:07] And we're building more factories and plants in this country
[1:11] than we've ever built before.
[1:13] And we're going to be leaving this country
[1:19] in very, very good shape.
[1:21] ...inherited catastrophe.
[1:28] The last administration created the worst inflation
[1:30] in 48 years, the most dangerous and insecure border in history,
[1:34] and exploding trade deficits like we have never seen before,
[1:39] rampant crime, men and women's sports,
[1:42] transgender mutilization of your children,
[1:46] and chaos and bedlam all over the world.
[1:48] Other than that, they did quite a good job.
[1:51] In less than 18 months, we've turned around four years of disaster,
[1:55] and we now have the strongest border in American history.
[1:58] We went from the worst border, I believe,
[2:00] of any country in history.
[2:01] Twenty-five million people came through in four years.
[2:05] And these are people that, in many cases, you don't want.
[2:07] They were murderers.
[2:08] They were drug dealers.
[2:10] They were people that you do not want.
[2:12] But now we have the strongest border in American history,
[2:15] and for the last 15 months,
[2:17] the report just came out again.
[2:19] We've had no people coming in through our southern border.
[2:22] Zero.
[2:23] And it's almost hard to say because you'd say,
[2:25] is that even possible?
[2:26] They had 25 million people came in.
[2:29] We have no people coming in through illegally
[2:31] through our southern border.
[2:33] And that's in history.
[2:34] So think of that zero, a big, beautiful zero.
[2:36] The murder rate saw its single largest drop ever recorded
[2:40] to the lowest in 125 years.
[2:43] That goes back to, think of it, it goes back to 1,800.
[2:47] The lowest murder rate in the history of our country.
[2:51] So that's something.
[2:52] Today, I just want to mention that we heard in Minnesota
[2:57] there was a cyberattack, and they blame it on Iran.
[3:00] I don't think so.
[3:00] I think I blame it on Minnesota
[3:02] because they're grossly incompetent.
[3:04] There was a cyberattack of 30 water plants,
[3:07] and I would blame it on Minnesota and the governor,
[3:11] the corrupt governor of Minnesota.
[3:13] They like to say, oh, it's Iran.
[3:15] Iran should be so lucky.
[3:16] Iran has got bigger problems than worrying about Minnesota.
[3:20] This month, it was announced that inflation is dropping.
[3:23] At the fastest rate in more than six years.
[3:25] Walmart, Sam's Club, Giant Eagle, and others are slashing prices
[3:30] by hundreds of grocery stores and all of the stores.
[3:34] I mean, throughout the country, they're slashing prices.
[3:37] Something that you haven't seen for a long time
[3:39] since my last administration.
[3:41] The stock market has set 73 all-time record highs
[3:44] since the election.
[3:46] That means all-time record highs, 73 days out of a very short period of time.
[3:52] And the typical 401 is up by more than $30,000.
[3:57] And when you think of that, if you add another $1,000 to it,
[4:04] it will be we set the record in the last administration,
[4:07] a record still standing.
[4:09] This administration is going to blow my last administration away.
[4:14] When the factories that we're building at record,
[4:16] and we're not building them, all over the world they're building.
[4:20] They're coming from all over the world.
[4:21] They're coming from Germany with the cars.
[4:23] They're coming from Germany.
[4:24] They're coming from Japan, South Korea, Canada, Mexico.
[4:29] From all over the world, they're building auto plants here,
[4:31] because otherwise they have to pay tariffs.
[4:33] The tariffs have made our country rich and successful.
[4:37] And all of this, I mean, I'd like to say it was the election.
[4:41] On November 5th, it was the election, and that's fine.
[4:43] But without the election, you wouldn't have what I've done economically.
[4:47] So, we have the most successful environment that we've ever had.
[4:51] There's never been anything like it,
[4:53] from the standpoint of investment into our country.
[4:56] It's five to six times higher than anybody has ever seen,
[5:00] than any other country, any other country, not just us, has ever had.
[5:04] On July 4th, we launched Trump accounts
[5:06] to keep a vision of our great, big, beautiful bill.
[5:10] And these tax-free investment savings accounts
[5:13] have already been activated by over 7 million children.
[5:16] These are investments made in our future, which is our children.
[5:20] Our children are the most important aspect of our future,
[5:23] with more being added each day.
[5:25] So, it's a tremendous hit.
[5:27] Over 7 million, and really, it really just got going,
[5:30] I would say, Scott, about two weeks ago,
[5:33] when it was we got the final approvals.
[5:36] And we have over 7 million.
[5:37] Actually, there's never been anything quite like that.
[5:41] But millions of accounts are pre-funded
[5:43] with $1,000 from the U.S. Treasury,
[5:46] or generous gifts from private donors
[5:47] like Michael and Susan Dell,
[5:49] and others who have given billions of dollars, billions.
[5:53] People are putting up hundreds of millions
[5:54] and billions of dollars into it,
[5:57] and buying, really, a great future for children.
[6:00] Whether they turn 18 or whether they turn 21,
[6:03] instead of having no hope, no future,
[6:05] they will end up with hundreds of thousands of dollars,
[6:08] and maybe even more than that.
[6:10] So, it's going to be something to see.
[6:11] With modest additional contributions,
[6:14] they'll grow by numbers that should be —
[6:17] it could be over $200,000.
[6:19] We're looking at the timeline.
[6:21] We're looking at — I wish we had an economy
[6:23] like we have now, with the stock markets going up.
[6:25] But they will benefit by our country being successful.
[6:29] And we're going to give every child a head start
[6:32] on the American dream.
[6:33] So, go to trumpaccounts.gov.
[6:36] They're really something the whole world is talking about.
[6:38] And it's far ahead of schedule.
[6:40] Nobody thought it would be as successful as it's been.
[6:44] But it should be. It should be.
[6:45] And we start them off with $1,000.
[6:47] And this was part of the great, big, beautiful bill.
[6:50] With my most-favored nation policy,
[6:52] you could say this is even a bigger thing,
[6:55] if that's possible, on drug prices.
[6:57] We're achieving record discounts on prescription drugs.
[7:01] Prescription drugs were going through the roof for many years.
[7:05] And now we're getting record discounts
[7:07] with price differences of 300, 400, 500, 600 percent.
[7:13] Nobody's ever heard of a thing like that.
[7:16] What we're talking about is that we were the highest.
[7:18] We had the highest prices anywhere in the world, by far.
[7:22] Most expensive drugs, prescription drugs, and others.
[7:26] The highest in the world.
[7:27] The whole world was laughing at us.
[7:29] We paid for the rest of the world.
[7:30] We subsidized the whole world.
[7:32] And I said, we're not going to do that.
[7:34] And I started it in the first administration.
[7:37] I took it up.
[7:38] Obviously, Biden wasn't able to do anything about it.
[7:41] Because you had to get the consent of the drug companies,
[7:43] and you had to get the consent.
[7:45] More difficult would be the consent of other nations.
[7:48] The other nations had to agree.
[7:50] But they were paying a fraction, sometimes 10 percent,
[7:54] 20 percent, 40 percent, 70 percent less.
[7:58] So I had to call them, and I had to get them on.
[8:00] And I said, if you don't do it,
[8:01] we're going to have to charge your tariffs.
[8:03] And they all said no at first, very politely.
[8:05] They said, sir, we can't do that.
[8:07] We're not going to double our prices.
[8:09] They had to double their prices,
[8:11] and in some case, triple their price.
[8:13] And we would come down.
[8:14] So a pill that sold for $10 in Germany
[8:19] would sell for $130 in New York.
[8:22] Same pill from the same company, the same factory,
[8:25] the same plant, the same laboratory, from $10,
[8:29] and we pay $130.
[8:31] I said, no, no.
[8:32] Now, the world is a bigger place,
[8:34] so it's not as bad as it sounds for them.
[8:36] So they went up to 20, and we came down to 20.
[8:40] So we now have the lowest drug prices anywhere in the world,
[8:43] or tied with the lowest,
[8:45] but we're basically its favorite nation.
[8:46] So we have the lowest drug prices anywhere in the world
[8:49] from the highest drug prices anywhere in the world.
[8:52] Now, what that does for your health care?
[8:55] I mean, I see these fake polls
[8:56] where the Democrats have wonderful numbers on this stuff,
[8:59] and they are horrible what they've done.
[9:02] Obamacare is a total disaster.
[9:04] It's a costly wreck.
[9:05] It's unaffordable.
[9:06] We call it the Unaffordable Care Act.
[9:09] It's a disgrace.
[9:10] They never even thought of being able
[9:11] to do something like this.
[9:13] They didn't even try.
[9:14] They didn't even try.
[9:15] So I got the drug companies first,
[9:17] and then I got the countries.
[9:21] And the drug companies agreed
[9:22] because they knew the countries wouldn't agree.
[9:24] And when I called Germany, France,
[9:26] when I called the UK,
[9:28] when I called all of these countries,
[9:30] I said, you got to do it.
[9:32] It's unfair.
[9:32] You're paying 10 times more than you're paying
[9:35] for the same drug.
[9:36] You can't do this.
[9:37] And they said, well, we're not going to do that
[9:39] because we're going to have to double our price today
[9:40] in order to make you happy.
[9:42] I said, no, maybe you're going to have to triple your price.
[9:44] They said, well, we can't do it.
[9:45] I said, that's all right.
[9:47] If you can't do it, then I can't do something also.
[9:50] And I'm going to charge you very substantial tariffs,
[9:53] which are far more than we're talking about.
[9:56] And they all said, we'd love to do it.
[9:57] We would love to do it.
[9:58] It would be our great honor to do it.
[9:59] So nobody else would do this.
[10:01] This would have never happened.
[10:03] So your drug prices have gone down
[10:04] by numbers not even thinkable.
[10:06] My first term, I had the privilege of having lower drug prices
[10:10] from the beginning of the year till the end
[10:12] for the first time in 28 years, you remember.
[10:15] And I called a news conference to announce it.
[10:17] So the year it ended, and I was turned out one eighth of a percent,
[10:23] one eighth of a percent, little tiny, this much.
[10:26] It went down that much during one year.
[10:29] First time in 28 years, it went down.
[10:31] And it was always like this, just up, more expensive.
[10:35] And I called the news conference, I was so proud of myself,
[10:38] and I said, ladies and gentlemen, the first time in 28 years,
[10:42] drug prices have gone down from January till the end of December.
[10:48] And I want to just congratulate everybody for being a part
[10:52] of this wonderful experiment.
[10:54] And one eighth of a point now, we're talking about 400,
[10:58] 500, 600 percent coming down.
[11:01] We pay the lowest drug prices anywhere in the world from the highest.
[11:04] So, you know, and I'll say it again and again,
[11:07] because the press doesn't want to report it.
[11:08] The fake news doesn't want to report it.
[11:10] They don't want to talk about it.
[11:12] What that does for healthcare, Bobby, is unbelievable,
[11:15] because medicine is a big part of healthcare.
[11:17] So I wish that people would understand that.
[11:20] And I hope they're going to vote for us in the midterms,
[11:22] because you'll see some stuff that will be horrible,
[11:25] because they can blow it very fast
[11:26] if they don't know what they're doing.
[11:28] So your drug prices are great.
[11:30] You know, I saw Spain yesterday,
[11:33] and I watched the catastrophe that took place.
[11:36] It was a ca- it looks like an invasion of a country
[11:39] by hundreds of thousands of people.
[11:42] And that same thing is going to happen to us
[11:44] if the Republicans don't get elected, except worse.
[11:48] Much bigger, much easier to get into,
[11:51] despite the fact that we have built thousands of miles of wall,
[11:56] which I said we were going to do.
[11:58] But we didn't have that. Forget it.
[12:00] But we have the safest border in the world.
[12:02] If we're not in office,
[12:04] our country will be invaded at levels
[12:07] that made Spain look small-time.
[12:11] And when I watched it, I said, boy, I said,
[12:14] I'm going to say it because I knew you were going to be at Camp David.
[12:16] And I say, that's going to be a talking point for the midterms.
[12:21] Because when you look at what happened to Spain,
[12:23] they don't know what to do.
[12:24] And it's happening again today.
[12:25] They're coming in by the tens of thousands.
[12:28] They're just invading the country.
[12:32] And what that is, is weak law, bad management,
[12:38] but very liberal law.
[12:41] They passed a couple of laws, and people read.
[12:44] You know, people are smart.
[12:45] They read from other countries.
[12:47] And they swam that three-mile swim,
[12:49] or however they got in.
[12:50] But nobody's seen anything like it.
[12:53] That will look good compared to what's going to happen
[12:55] to the United States.
[12:57] The biggest thing, the worst thing that Biden did
[12:59] is allowing 25 million people into our country.
[13:02] Because many of those people are criminals.
[13:04] They're murderers.
[13:05] A lot of murderers.
[13:05] 11,888.
[13:08] A lot of them are gone now.
[13:09] We got them out.
[13:10] But they allowed people to come into this country
[13:13] that you can't allow to come into a country.
[13:16] We're also making an unprecedented investment
[13:18] in the United States Armed Forces,
[13:21] where we're doing great.
[13:22] And we rebuilt the Armed Forces.
[13:24] We rebuilt our military in my first term.
[13:27] But we are doing great with our military.
[13:29] They spent a lot of money in our military.
[13:32] They gave away $300 billion worth of ammo
[13:36] and everything else in Biden's term.
[13:39] But we're building it up fast,
[13:40] and we just have a great military.
[13:43] That's all there is, too.
[13:45] But we rebuilt it in my first term.
[13:48] And we're using it in my second term
[13:50] with Venezuela and other places and Iran now.
[13:53] Iran is doing very poorly.
[13:55] Just in case you read incorrect stories,
[13:57] they're doing very, very poorly.
[13:58] They're having a hard time.
[14:00] They've been very dishonest.
[14:01] They've been very dishonorable to deal with.
[14:04] But that makes no difference.
[14:05] They're doing very, very poorly.
[14:08] We're also making that investment
[14:10] and looking forward to getting $1.5 trillion next year.
[14:15] People see now how important it is.
[14:17] We want to keep a safe country.
[14:18] We have to keep a safe country.
[14:19] And the good news is,
[14:21] all of that equipment is made in the USA.
[14:23] So we're making it here.
[14:25] It's jobs.
[14:26] And each one of our defense groups
[14:29] are building literally at least four new massive plants,
[14:34] as we speak, because we want them to move faster.
[14:39] We have the best equipment in the world,
[14:41] but we want them to move faster.
[14:42] We don't want to wait a year or a year and a half.
[14:44] We want to wait a week, maybe.
[14:47] So that's happening, and I think the results are very good.
[14:49] They're all building at levels
[14:52] that nobody has ever seen before.
[14:55] And we've had tremendous success,
[14:57] and our military was just proud of it.
[14:58] Again, Venezuela was a one-day war,
[15:03] and we have a great relationship with Venezuela.
[15:06] We're working with partners with Venezuela now,
[15:08] taking out tens of millions of barrels of oil,
[15:12] and going to Houston, going to Alaska, going to Louisiana,
[15:16] going to different places for refinement, refineries.
[15:20] And it's been very much amazing.
[15:23] The administration has done more in 18 months
[15:25] than most administrations have done in eight years,
[15:28] if you had a two-termer.
[15:30] We've done more in 18 months
[15:31] than anyone has ever seen before.
[15:33] Nobody has ever seen.
[15:34] This is the golden age of America,
[15:37] and we have a war that's going on.
[15:39] I guess you'll call it a war.
[15:40] Maybe I call it a military operation,
[15:43] because they have no Navy.
[15:44] It's been obliterated.
[15:46] Their Air Force has been obliterated.
[15:48] They have no planes.
[15:50] Their missiles have been largely, they have some left.
[15:53] They have some, but they have far fewer
[15:55] than they had four or five months ago.
[15:59] Their manufacturing capacity is almost gone.
[16:04] The drone capacity is almost gone.
[16:06] They're very few, but they have some.
[16:09] If they have one, that's too many, as far as I'm concerned.
[16:12] But we've done an amazing job with Venezuela.
[16:16] We've done an amazing job here.
[16:18] We're in there for five months.
[16:19] You know, I know what people like to say,
[16:21] because we've done a much bigger job,
[16:23] much more important job than we originally anticipated.
[16:27] So we're in there for five months.
[16:28] And if you look at Vietnam, they were in there for 20 years.
[16:32] You look at Afghanistan, they were in there for many years.
[16:36] If you look at any one of the wars, Korea, any one of them,
[16:38] they're in there for many years, we're in for five months,
[16:40] and we have obliterated their military capacity.
[16:44] Again, they've got some left,
[16:46] but soon they won't have some left.
[16:48] So I just want to thank everybody around this table.
[16:50] You've been very special.
[16:51] I want to thank a lot of the media people,
[16:52] because many of you have been very, very fair and very —
[16:56] that's one of the reasons you're here, frankly.
[16:58] But you've been very fair.
[16:59] You've covered me this time much more fairly, I think,
[17:02] than the first term. The first term was a great success.
[17:06] We had the greatest economy in history in the first term,
[17:10] and this term is going to blow it away.
[17:12] I think this term is going to actually blow it away.
[17:14] So it's an honor to have you.
[17:15] And I'd like to ask our great Vice President, J.D. Vance,
[17:19] to say a few words, followed by Marco and Pete and Scott
[17:24] and Bobby Kennedy. Okay?
[17:27] Thank you very much, everybody. Please, J.D.
[17:29] Well, great. Thanks, Mr. President.
[17:30] First of all, thanks for having us at this historical
[17:33] and beautiful place.
[17:34] And it's an honor to be on the team,
[17:36] an honor to be able to work on fraud,
[17:39] which is what I'm going to talk about today,
[17:40] though I know we have a lot of things going on.
[17:42] This has been an amazing team,
[17:43] from Kelly Loeffler at SBA, to Doug at the VA,
[17:48] to Todd and Bobby Kennedy.
[17:50] This really has required a whole-of-administration approach
[17:53] to try to tackle fraud.
[17:54] There are a few things that I want to talk about and celebrate.
[17:57] The first is that just since the beginning
[17:59] of the Fraud Task Force that I started
[18:01] under the President's leadership and direction,
[18:03] we have identified $230 billion of fraud
[18:07] that's being perpetrated against the American people,
[18:10] and we have halted already $56 billion of that.
[18:13] It's sometimes hard.
[18:14] Once the money has already gone out the door,
[18:16] it's hard to get it back.
[18:17] But stopping it from going out the door
[18:19] is how we save the American people.
[18:20] $56 billion.
[18:22] And, of course, we're going to keep on working on that.
[18:24] Just today, Mr. President,
[18:26] Mr. President, we will announce 17 new anti-fraud actions
[18:29] that will total about a third of a billion dollars,
[18:33] and that's added to the $230 billion
[18:35] that we've already uncovered.
[18:37] And I want to just talk, for the benefit of the American people,
[18:40] about why do we care so much about this?
[18:42] Because what I always try to remind people
[18:44] is that fraud has two victims.
[18:46] So, to give one concrete example,
[18:48] there is a program that is administered by Medicaid,
[18:53] and that program ensures that low-income moms
[18:56] and low-income babies have access to neonatal care.
[18:59] Now, I think most Americans probably share my view
[19:01] that this is one of the great things
[19:02] about the United States of America,
[19:04] that if we see a baby and we see a young mother
[19:07] that requires help, we help our fellow Americans.
[19:10] That's a good thing.
[19:10] It's something that we should be proud of.
[19:12] And yet, there is a program that is defrauded,
[19:16] the moms and the babies who benefit from these.
[19:18] You've gotten people who've gotten rich
[19:20] by setting up false companies
[19:22] that are providing false services.
[19:24] So, who loses in that equation?
[19:26] Number one, of course, is the American taxpayer
[19:28] that is $230 billion poorer
[19:31] because of the fraud that this country has let go on.
[19:34] But I actually think most importantly
[19:36] is that we've seen that program run out of money.
[19:39] So, we've seen moms and babies
[19:41] unable to access the healthcare that they need
[19:44] because the fraudsters have gotten rich.
[19:46] That is a disgrace.
[19:48] And until the President ordered us to stop it,
[19:51] no one was doing anything about it.
[19:52] So, we've made a lot of progress, Mr. President,
[19:55] in just under a year,
[19:56] but we're going to keep on working at it
[19:58] because we believe the American people deserve
[20:00] to have their money spent,
[20:01] as you and the Congress have been reckoned with.
[20:03] The President has big numbers in your funding,
[20:05] tremendous numbers.
[20:06] They look like Elliott Ness.
[20:07] Does anybody know Elliott Ness?
[20:10] They look like that group of people
[20:11] that you have lined up behind you.
[20:12] They're doing a great job.
[20:14] Mr. Yes, sir.
[20:15] The President is thinking, not millions,
[20:17] billions of dollars is being recovered.
[20:20] Billions.
[20:21] And you haven't seen anything yet.
[20:23] We have things happening
[20:24] that people aren't going to believe.
[20:26] The level of corruption and fraud
[20:28] that took place under the Biden administration
[20:30] is unprecedented.
[20:32] And Minnesota, California, Maine.
[20:35] Maine, believe it or not.
[20:36] You know, you think of Maine as this wonderful place.
[20:39] It's the level of corruption is incredible.
[20:42] All of them.
[20:42] All of them.
[20:43] So, great job.
[20:45] Thank you very much.
[20:46] The President.
[20:46] The President is my turn.
[20:48] Well, for bringing us out here.
[20:51] I got the chance to drive for the first time
[20:52] in a year and a half.
[20:53] It was just a golf cart.
[20:54] But it was fun.
[20:55] That's it.
[20:56] That was great.
[20:59] And so, just a couple of points that you can come.
[21:04] We all know we've followed in the news,
[21:05] obviously, the events in the Middle East
[21:06] and others here to talk about that.
[21:08] Not that they're not important,
[21:09] but there's some other issues happening
[21:10] around the world, Mr. President,
[21:11] that you've shown great leadership in
[21:13] that have not gotten nearly as much attention.
[21:14] I think they deserve to mention today.
[21:16] The first is the International Criminal Court
[21:19] is an illegitimate international organization
[21:21] that, frankly, illegitimate.
[21:22] They've made themselves illegitimate
[21:23] because they claim that even if you're not a member
[21:25] of that court, they can come after you.
[21:27] What that literally means in the future
[21:29] is that Americans politically and others
[21:31] could find themselves under indictment
[21:35] by this International Criminal Court.
[21:37] If you want to know a little bit about it,
[21:38] Jack Smith used to work there.
[21:39] These are the people that think they can go out
[21:41] and basically indict any world leader
[21:43] and haul them into The Hague.
[21:44] So we've begun to try to get them to reform
[21:46] and listen to us.
[21:47] They wouldn't do it.
[21:47] They're very arrogant.
[21:49] We've now begun an effort to really try
[21:50] to bring that court to heel.
[21:52] The President, by the way, there's no information
[21:53] that they're after me.
[21:55] It could happen.
[21:56] I wouldn't be sure.
[21:58] But just so you know,
[21:59] because he's talking about it,
[22:00] I'm saying that means that maybe...
[22:01] He's not trying to defend me.
[22:03] He is trying to defend Bibi
[22:05] and various other people.
[22:06] But there are many people
[22:07] that shouldn't be looked at that way.
[22:09] But there is no indication
[22:11] that I'm one of them at this moment.
[22:14] The President, no.
[22:16] And I actually think the people
[22:17] who are in biggest danger in our system
[22:19] are servicemen, people in uniform.
[22:21] They'll try to go out for the rest of their lives
[22:22] or not be able to travel anywhere in the world
[22:24] with their families
[22:25] because they can be arrested on one of these, like...
[22:27] Imagine, again, you're a soldier.
[22:28] You fought in a war,
[22:29] and 20 years later, they try to come grab you.
[22:31] So this is a big problem.
[22:32] So we've had dozens of countries
[22:33] already join us in this effort.
[22:34] Since we started two weeks ago,
[22:36] five countries have already quit the ICC
[22:38] and notified them that they're leaving,
[22:40] and we think there'll be more.
[22:41] The second thing is we had
[22:42] an unprecedented ministerial.
[22:43] Sixty countries came to Washington
[22:46] and were a part of an effort
[22:47] where we were shedding light
[22:48] on far-left terrorism and violence.
[22:51] You know, if a bomb goes off somewhere
[22:52] and it's tied to some right-wing group,
[22:53] or what I...
[22:55] I don't consider neo-Nazis right-wing,
[22:56] I consider them Nazis, right?
[22:58] But you're going to get a lot of attention on that.
[23:00] But if it's a leftist group,
[23:01] an Antifa group,
[23:03] that gets no coverage,
[23:04] or they ignore the ideological spin
[23:05] and the ideological reason behind it.
[23:08] So we've got 60 countries came up here
[23:10] and hopefully creating a strong
[23:11] to go after far-left violent terrorism.
[23:15] Go after it, call it by name,
[23:16] and I think we're building a very strong coalition there.
[23:19] We've had some set successes in the Middle East,
[23:21] Mr. President, as you know,
[23:22] in the diplomatic front.
[23:23] The deal with Lebanon and Israel is unprecedented.
[23:26] President Ayoun was here a week ago.
[23:28] I think that was the first visit
[23:30] by the Lebanese President in over 30-some-odd years.
[23:32] In fact, this is the first time the Israelis
[23:33] and the Lebanese government have spoken
[23:35] at the official level close to 30 years.
[23:37] And that was 60 years later.
[23:39] A lot of work to be done to keep that peace in building,
[23:41] but it's a real achievable.
[23:43] And of course, as you announced last night,
[23:44] Mr. President, this disarmament deal
[23:46] that you brought about with Steve and Jared's work
[23:49] on Hamas is another big step as well.
[23:52] It's something a lot of people thought would never happen.
[23:54] It needs to happen, but the fact that you've even agreed
[23:56] to it is a real achievable.
[23:58] Last point is on the Western Hemisphere.
[24:00] For the first time in 15, 20 years,
[24:03] the overwhelming majority of the countries
[24:05] in the Western Hemisphere are now led
[24:07] by pro-American leaders and pro-American governments.
[24:10] It's an extraordinary achievement,
[24:11] all of it happening through a success.
[24:13] Virtually every election that's happened
[24:15] in the world, like the president has elected.
[24:19] I think this is an incredible situation.
[24:22] And last but not least, and I have to thank
[24:24] a number of agencies here, particularly the Department of War,
[24:26] after that terrible earthquake in Venezuela.
[24:29] Within 36 hours, the full force of the American government
[24:33] was on the ground, providing humanitarian assistance.
[24:35] It was a sight to behold.
[24:37] The USS Ford, I think, was in their port.
[24:39] Our Marines and Armed Service personnel
[24:43] were helping run their airport and their tower.
[24:45] It is one of the fastest, most dramatic,
[24:47] and most effective humanitarian responses,
[24:50] certainly in recent history, if not ever.
[24:52] And they came at the direction of the president.
[24:54] And in fact, within an hour of that earthquake hitting,
[24:56] I remember because I was overseas,
[24:58] the president called and said,
[24:59] make sure we go in there and help these people recover from this.
[25:02] And we did.
[25:03] And thanks to your leadership, Mr. President.
[25:05] It's a great story.
[25:06] Enough needs to be told about it
[25:07] because the credit goes to so many agencies
[25:10] represented here today.
[25:11] But really, the Department of War's effort was phenomenal.
[25:13] So, thank you.
[25:14] The Vice President, thank you very much, Marco.
[25:16] And just before we continue,
[25:18] I want to just congratulate Jay Clayton.
[25:21] He's with us today, as you know.
[25:22] He just had a big, big dream.
[25:24] He's going to be a, he's going to do a fantastic job.
[25:26] He's only done a, his whole life has been
[25:28] about doing a fantastic job.
[25:30] Congratulations.
[25:40] Well, thank you, Mr. President,
[25:41] for the, for the invitation,
[25:42] the opportunity to be here.
[25:43] It's an honor for the War Department
[25:45] to help run this facility also,
[25:47] from the, from the food to the fence line.
[25:50] It's, it's an honor to have you.
[25:51] And it's, it's great Americans here
[25:53] and all around the country
[25:55] and all core of what keep us safe.
[25:59] But in order to do that, you have to have a leader
[26:01] that's willing to put them in a position to do it.
[26:04] And that, and that's my takeaway, Mr. President,
[26:06] is sort of three points.
[26:09] One, it takes courage.
[26:11] Two, it takes restoring a spirit, which you have done.
[26:13] And third, it takes investment.
[26:15] And not just an investment, but a generational investment.
[26:17] And I think people miss that.
[26:19] The courage it takes to seal the border,
[26:21] to say we're going to do it every single day
[26:23] and we're going to do it on behalf of the American people.
[26:26] The courage to bomb the Houthis
[26:27] and say we will, we will maintain freedom of navigation.
[26:30] You wonder why they're not involved in this conflict,
[26:32] the Houthis, even if they're a proxy of Iran,
[26:34] because they felt the weight of American power for 45 days.
[26:37] And you had the courage to do that.
[26:39] The courage to do midnight hammer, the 12 day war,
[26:42] by obliterating their nuclear sites.
[26:44] Something no one, other presidents had the option
[26:47] on their table to do, but they never pulled the trigger.
[26:50] Because of the complications, because of the challenges,
[26:52] because of the risk, courage.
[26:54] The courage to take on cartels and drugs, drug boats,
[26:58] and now forming the ACCC, the America's counter cartel coalition,
[27:01] with all those friendly governments that Marco talked about,
[27:04] who want to be shoulder to shoulder, not just with America,
[27:06] but with a bold, strong America, with clear leadership.
[27:11] The courage to go get Maduro in the most dangerous,
[27:15] most heavily guarded house, inside the most heavily guarded fort,
[27:18] inside the most heavily guarded town in their capital city
[27:20] in the middle of the night, and change the entire dynamic
[27:23] of that country and that region, and the world saw
[27:26] what the American military was capable to do.
[27:28] But that doesn't happen unless the commander in chief says,
[27:31] you're authorized to do it, and we'll take the handcuffs off
[27:34] when you do it, to ensure that Americans come home.
[27:37] The courage to undertake epic fury, and this Iranian regime,
[27:41] and ensure they never have a nuclear weapon,
[27:44] which remains your commitment, and frankly,
[27:46] the courage to negotiate with people that have shown
[27:48] no willingness to do so honestly, with incredible negotiators,
[27:52] who are the best in the world, and give them every opportunity
[27:54] to do it, give those things up peacefully.
[27:56] All of that takes guts, but that comes on the backs
[28:00] of the change in the spirit of our department.
[28:02] You talk about spirit all the time, and your right to do so.
[28:05] When you rip out DEI, when you rip out social engineering
[28:09] and social justice, and you put in merit,
[28:12] and then you untie the hands of commanders to be commanders
[28:15] to enforce discipline and accountability to get back to basics,
[28:19] then you get historic reenlistment inside our ranks.
[28:21] Our best people, Mr. President, are staying,
[28:24] because they want to be in that kind of department.
[28:26] And then, historic recruitment record,
[28:28] amongst young Americans, every month,
[28:31] our department breaks records.
[28:32] And when did that trend line start?
[28:34] On election day, 2024, when the American people said,
[28:38] I want to serve under this president.
[28:40] And that new name, the Department of War,
[28:42] has become the ethos, the warrior ethos,
[28:44] of our department, again, spirit.
[28:46] And I will note, the flyovers will indeed continue
[28:49] until morale improves.
[28:51] But that's also spirit.
[28:54] Parades, 250, flyovers, the American people seeing
[28:58] and feeling their military in ways they have not in the past.
[29:01] That's spirit.
[29:02] And then finally, Mr. President, a generational investment.
[29:05] You rebuilt the military in your first term,
[29:07] and you've spent in your first year $1 trillion,
[29:09] and now we are committed in working with Congress
[29:12] to get $1.5 trillion, but this is not the same way
[29:15] we funded our department in the past.
[29:17] This is a businessman in charge.
[29:19] This is a deputy secretary of our department
[29:21] who's a turnaround guy, just like the president is,
[29:24] saying we will not fund money,
[29:26] we will not fund the department the way we have in the past.
[29:28] In fact, so far, $75 billion in private investment
[29:33] from defense companies who are now investing in new plants,
[29:36] new equipment, new assembly lines to build the munitions
[29:39] of the future faster than ever possible.
[29:41] That's saving taxpayer dollars
[29:44] because the companies themselves are investing.
[29:45] That would never, the arsenal of freedom
[29:47] would never happen without you.
[29:49] So just like, you know, we use a lot of the things
[29:52] Ronald Reagan's buildup was a part of,
[29:55] in this administration and in future administrations,
[29:57] they will look back at Donald Trump
[29:58] and the buildup that he has done,
[30:00] and that will be the deterrence of the future
[30:02] will be established because of your investment.
[30:04] So thank you, Mr. President, for your attention.
[30:08] Scott, please.
[30:11] Here in this historic place,
[30:12] as we celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary,
[30:16] and I think if we look back,
[30:18] whether our founders was President of Washington,
[30:21] Thomas Jefferson, Senator Hamilton,
[30:24] could not have imagined the economy
[30:27] that we would have created.
[30:28] It is the envy of the world,
[30:31] and as you said, we have record investment coming in.
[30:33] We've never seen anything like it,
[30:35] and we're pulling away from the rest of the world.
[30:38] It's because of your leadership,
[30:40] the policies that you did from day one,
[30:42] in terms of digital assets,
[30:44] in terms of technology,
[30:46] and bringing back American manufacturing.
[30:49] You know, it's, you've done it again.
[30:51] You had the incredible economy during your first term,
[30:56] and we are seeing that carry over here,
[30:59] and it is in stark contrast to the Biden economy,
[31:03] which was government jobs, government spending,
[31:06] and high inflation, the worst inflation in 50 years.
[31:11] And with the working families tax cut,
[31:14] which I will add, every Democrat voted against,
[31:18] every Democrat voted against,
[31:20] it is the perfect barbell for this economy.
[31:23] On one side, you have full expensing for factories,
[31:28] for equipment, for farm structures.
[31:31] On the other side, your four signature policies,
[31:34] promises made, promises kept, no tax on tips,
[31:37] no tax on overtime, no tax on Social Security,
[31:40] deductibility of auto loans,
[31:43] if you buy an American-made car,
[31:45] and the Americans are starting to feel this.
[31:49] Core inflation is low, consumer confidence is strong.
[31:53] We have the highest consumer confidence,
[31:55] came up today, in five months,
[31:57] and Main Street is back.
[32:01] Small banks are lent, thanks to your policies,
[32:04] small banks, community banks are lending again,
[32:08] and the Americans are starting to feel it.
[32:11] As you said, these Trump accounts
[32:13] are the most successful program launch
[32:16] in government history.
[32:17] We've had seven million families sign up for them.
[32:20] We're gonna get to open enrollment,
[32:22] and we will have 70 million families
[32:25] who have signed up for this.
[32:27] 38% of American families, households,
[32:30] have no exposure to our great equity market,
[32:33] and thanks to you,
[32:34] we're going to have an ownership society.
[32:36] An ownership society.
[32:37] You were one of the first presidents
[32:39] to create assets for the American people,
[32:42] not more debt.
[32:43] We had the biggest tax refund season ever.
[32:47] Trade deals, tax cuts, energy dominance,
[32:51] and deregulatory efforts.
[32:53] America is ushering in the greatest reshoring wave
[32:56] in our history.
[32:58] In June, our manufacturing sector expanded
[33:00] for the sixth straight month.
[33:02] We've got construction jobs,
[33:04] and those are going to lead into manufacturing jobs.
[33:07] We've got Main Street prosperity.
[33:09] Real wages are up $1,000.
[33:12] And, sir, what you've done again, too,
[33:14] is the bottom 25% of wage earners,
[33:17] just like in your first term,
[33:19] are outperforming the top 25%.
[33:22] This is a Working Families Administration
[33:26] that in the past year,
[33:30] that group had wage increases of 5.5%.
[33:36] They have three times what the top end has done.
[33:41] So you've done it again,
[33:43] and these are private sector jobs we are creating.
[33:46] As you often say in these meetings,
[33:48] we could have created a million,
[33:50] two million government jobs, but we didn't.
[33:53] The private sector is creating.
[33:54] We've got incentives, we've got money coming in,
[33:57] and we are rebuilding.
[33:58] So, and then our energy dominance,
[34:01] thanks to you and these policies,
[34:03] you can come to the U.S.,
[34:04] you can have regulatory certainty, tax certainty,
[34:07] and energy certainty.
[34:08] So it is the best place in the world
[34:09] to build your factory.
[34:11] And finally, I want to add,
[34:12] it has been a pleasure to be a part,
[34:15] or a privilege to be a part of,
[34:17] as we've gone from epic fury to economic fury,
[34:20] to constrict on your orders,
[34:22] constrict the Iranian regimes,
[34:24] the financial tentacles all around the world.
[34:28] We started it on your orders.
[34:30] We started it in March, 2025.
[34:32] In December of 2025, the largest bank in Iran collapsed.
[34:37] The central bank had to print money,
[34:39] cost inflation, now they got 180% inflation,
[34:42] they aren't able to pay their troops.
[34:44] And on your orders, we are searching for their assets
[34:47] all around the world,
[34:48] and that money will go to the Iranian people,
[34:51] Americans who have been harmed by the Iranians,
[34:54] whether the U.S. has coal or the barracks in Lebanon,
[34:59] or it will go back to when the Iranians attacked
[35:03] the ships coming out.
[35:05] So it's been a privilege to be part of that,
[35:07] and I look forward to the rest of it.
[35:10] The President Biden has to say that today,
[35:14] there are more people working in India
[35:17] than at any time in the history of our country.
[35:19] We have more people working today,
[35:21] and we'll think of that number.
[35:23] More people working today, by far, than at any time
[35:26] in the history of our country.
[35:28] So it's been something very special.
[35:32] Please.
[35:33] Mr. President, let me just take a moment
[35:35] to take note of the historical significance
[35:39] of this occasion.
[35:41] Before the press came in,
[35:42] you asked all the cabinet members
[35:44] who had been to Camp David before and about,
[35:47] I think about three-quarters of them had.
[35:49] I raised my hand, but I haven't been here for 62 years.
[35:53] I came here, awesome.
[35:55] I came here on the weekends, as many weekends as we could,
[35:58] between 1961 and 1963.
[36:01] My father loved this place.
[36:03] My uncle loved this place.
[36:05] He was, nobody knows about this,
[36:07] because it's not in the history books,
[36:08] but he was resentful at Dwight Eisenhower
[36:11] for renaming it Camp David.
[36:14] And he, if he had gotten made it to his second term,
[36:17] he was going to rename it Chamberlain,
[36:19] which was the original name that Roosevelt had,
[36:23] named it, but my uncle prided himself
[36:25] on being the most open, transparent administration
[36:29] in history.
[36:29] He was the first president to have
[36:31] standardized press conferences.
[36:33] During his 1,000 days in office,
[36:35] he had about 30 press conferences.
[36:37] You, Mr. President, have press conferences every day.
[36:41] Nobody's done anything like that.
[36:44] And here you've opened the inner sanctum of the presidency
[36:48] for the first time in history,
[36:49] and I think that's a beautiful thing.
[36:52] As you also face, although you gave these guys
[36:54] a lot of compliments, the most hostile press corps
[36:58] that any president in the United States history,
[37:01] uniformally.
[37:02] So anyway, I'm going to talk just briefly
[37:08] about a subject you alluded to, which is the MFN,
[37:13] and just so everybody has the background.
[37:16] You were here to every president,
[37:19] promised to fix that disparity between what we pay
[37:22] and what the other developed countries pay.
[37:25] When you came into office, the list price
[37:26] for Ozempic was $1,350 for Americans.
[37:30] You could get it at any pharmacy in London, Hamburg,
[37:34] Frankfurt for $88.
[37:36] And this, every president, President Bush, President Biden,
[37:40] President Clinton, President Obama,
[37:43] have all promised fixes and none of them did.
[37:45] And it's like, you fixed it.
[37:47] But today, you leave office, assuming that's in 2028.
[38:00] 95% of the drugs that are available to Americans,
[38:06] they will be paying the lowest prices in the world.
[38:09] TrumpRx, just in the short time since we put it out,
[38:13] has saved Americans $700 million.
[38:16] We now have 800 drugs on there.
[38:18] We have deals with Amazon, with good Rx.
[38:22] We're adding more and more drugs every day.
[38:24] And I'll just give you one example.
[38:26] Preluent is a very popular cholesterol drug.
[38:31] Its list price is $522.
[38:34] That's what everybody is paying.
[38:36] We now have it on TrumpRx for $237.
[38:40] That means that the 300,000 Americans who take that drug
[38:44] will be saving $3,700 a year on pharmaceuticals every year.
[38:51] And you can apply that across the board.
[38:55] This is going to change.
[38:56] It's making pharmaceuticals affordable,
[38:59] the most affordable in this country, if any country, in the world.
[39:02] Well, thank you, Mr. President.
[39:04] How are you doing on the autism research?
[39:08] We will have an answer for you.
[39:10] We just got it.
[39:10] So important.
[39:11] Okay.
[39:13] We'll be talking about that.
[39:14] We'll be having something of interest.
[39:17] Such an important thing.
[39:18] There's a picture of your uncle right there on the wall.
[39:20] That's why I know he's looking at a handsome guy.
[39:22] And that's quite a picture.
[39:24] Did you see it?
[39:25] Yeah.
[39:26] Maybe they gave me the idea to start out that way,
[39:28] but it's quite a picture.
[39:31] Any questions?
[39:31] Mr. President.
[39:32] Mr. President.
[39:33] Go ahead.
[39:34] We've seen these strikes between Iran and the United States
[39:36] in the past few days.
[39:37] How do you find reviving the ceasefire
[39:40] and getting the diplomacy back on track?
[39:42] Well, I think we just want to win.
[39:43] You know, we just want to win.
[39:44] We're doing very well.
[39:47] We're trying to be nice.
[39:48] As nice as you can be in a situation like that.
[39:51] But, you know, they're being decimated.
[39:55] They have no Navy.
[39:56] They have no Air Force.
[39:57] They have no anti-aircraft.
[40:00] Doesn't mean they don't have any capability.
[40:02] They have some, but very little.
[40:04] We just want to win.
[40:05] We don't want to have them.
[40:06] It's very simple.
[40:09] They cannot have a nuclear weapon.
[40:11] Iran will not have a nuclear weapon,
[40:13] and they can't have a nuclear weapon.
[40:15] If they did, the Middle East would have been wiped out by now.
[40:18] If I didn't stop the JCPOA, the Obama deal,
[40:23] if I didn't say that, they would have had a nuclear weapon.
[40:26] I believe Israel would no longer be with us,
[40:28] and big parts of the Middle East,
[40:29] and perhaps other.
[40:34] These people are crazy.
[40:36] So they cannot, and they won't.
[40:39] Mr. President.
[40:42] Four weeks, eight months.
[40:43] We'll be hitting them.
[40:44] We'll be hitting them very hard.
[40:46] And at some point, they're going to say,
[40:48] we just can't take them anymore.
[40:49] Mr. President, on the disarmament deal that you announced,
[40:52] do you have assurances from Israel that they are on board
[40:55] with this deal?
[40:56] And what comes first?
[40:57] Does Israel pull back, and then Hamas disarms,
[41:00] or does Hamas need to disarm, and then Israel leaves Gaza?
[41:03] Mr. President, we do have an understanding with Israel.
[41:05] Israel is very happy about it.
[41:06] Israel helped us, and they've been very good.
[41:10] They've been very good about it.
[41:11] Most people said that would be a deal that would be undoable.
[41:14] Now, will it go through its ups and downs?
[41:16] It's a very complex situation over there.
[41:19] The people are very complex and difficult,
[41:23] many cases wonderful, many cases not so wonderful.
[41:26] But that will be a great breakthrough.
[41:29] Nobody has ever thought that would be possible,
[41:32] to disarm Hamas.
[41:34] That shows you how much stress we're having with Iran.
[41:39] Because if you go four months ago or five months ago,
[41:41] a deal like that would have been impossible.
[41:43] So it's a big step for the Middle East,
[41:45] and people are really impressed by it,
[41:47] and they're surprised by it.
[41:48] I mean, what comes first, Mr. President?
[41:50] What comes first?
[41:51] Did FIFA or Mr. Infantino speak to you about their proposal
[41:53] to sell a stake in the World Cup?
[41:54] And is that something you support?
[41:55] How about who?
[41:57] Did FIFA or Mr. Infantino speak to you about their proposal
[42:00] to sell a stake in the World Cup?
[42:01] No, I never spoke to you.
[42:02] Mr. President, you said this morning on Truth Social
[42:06] that victims of government abuse should be paid back.
[42:09] Even if it's not the anti-weaponization fund,
[42:12] would you still want the acting attorney general
[42:14] to find a new way to do that?
[42:15] Weaponization against large numbers of people in our country
[42:19] by the Biden administration and by Obama,
[42:23] but by the Biden administration in particular in this case.
[42:26] But large numbers of people, their lives have been ruined.
[42:29] They've been destroyed.
[42:31] Families have been, you know,
[42:32] decimated, gone to prison for no reason whatsoever.
[42:37] There's never been a group of people, most likely,
[42:39] I mean, I can think of a couple
[42:40] that were treated pretty badly, groups.
[42:43] But there's essentially never been a group of people
[42:45] treated so badly as these people.
[42:47] And this fund, this fund was not for me.
[42:49] This fund was for those people that have been weaponized,
[42:53] that have been abused.
[42:54] Now, I was abused.
[42:55] They attacked my house in Mar-a-Lago, where I live.
[42:58] And I wish, you know, big damages should have been given to me.
[43:02] I don't want anything.
[43:03] I'm not talking about myself.
[43:06] I think that there's a group of people in this country,
[43:08] history will show, that were treated like nobody else
[43:14] has ever been treated, so badly, so horribly.
[43:18] Their families have been ruined, many, many suicides.
[43:21] They've committed suicide.
[43:23] People that were very successful,
[43:24] that wanted to go to a rally or an event,
[43:29] and ended up spending the rest of their lives in horror.
[43:33] No? So, I mean, you can say what you want about the fund,
[43:37] and they've agreed to not have a fund.
[43:40] But there are a lot of people that are very upset about it.
[43:42] A lot of Republican people,
[43:44] a lot of Democrat people are very upset about it.
[43:46] A lot of people were covered.
[43:47] I wasn't covered by that fund.
[43:49] I don't want to be covered by that fund.
[43:50] I probably was abused more than anybody
[43:52] in the history of our country.
[43:54] But I wasn't looking for that.
[43:56] But there were a lot of people.
[43:57] And I'll tell you something,
[43:58] Todd Blanche is a very, very good man,
[44:02] and he shouldn't be in the middle of this.
[44:03] He should get approved,
[44:05] because you will never get anybody like him.
[44:07] You're never going to get anybody.
[44:09] And to make him a pawn on this whole thing,
[44:11] this is being done by a senator.
[44:12] And I don't really blame him, to be honest with you.
[44:15] I endorsed his opponent.
[44:16] And as soon as I endorsed his opponent,
[44:18] his opponent went through the roof,
[44:19] and he won the primary election in Texas, with the Senate.
[44:25] And the man that lost, the man that I didn't endorse,
[44:30] has become very angry. And that's okay.
[44:31] I mean, I understand that I probably would do the same thing.
[44:34] You want to know the truth? I think I'd do the same thing.
[44:36] Mr. President, on that, though, do you agree,
[44:38] just to be clear, do you agree with the Acting Attorney General,
[44:40] that the Anti-Weaponization Fund is dead?
[44:42] And why not just put that in writing?
[44:44] Well, it is dead.
[44:45] But, you know, I wish it weren't, to be honest with you.
[44:47] I think people were horribly treated, horribly abused.
[44:51] This has nothing to do with Todd. This was me.
[44:54] Horribly abused.
[44:55] And I'd like to see them compensated for the pain.
[44:59] They lost their families.
[45:00] They committed suicide.
[45:02] Many people committed suicide.
[45:04] They went down for an innocent journey.
[45:07] And I'm not only talking there,
[45:08] I'm talking about not even having to do with that.
[45:11] The way they were treated.
[45:12] The Biden administration and the Obama administration
[45:16] weaponized government and destroyed lives.
[45:19] But should they put it in writing?
[45:20] The Press, do you want to accept limits
[45:22] on the scope of the audit immunity deal
[45:24] in order to get Attorney General Blanche confirmed?
[45:27] Well, no, he should be approved forthwith.
[45:29] I mean, you're not going to get a person like that.
[45:31] Everybody agrees to it.
[45:33] Don't forget, Senator Corden thought he was phenomenal
[45:36] until he lost.
[45:38] You know, when he lost, is that a correct statement?
[45:40] You come from Texas.
[45:41] I mean, he thought this was the most incredible person.
[45:44] Then when he lost, then he lost because of me.
[45:47] I endorsed somebody else.
[45:48] And as soon as I endorsed the other person,
[45:51] the other person became a rocket ship upward.
[45:53] And he lost.
[45:54] And, you know, I think I'd be the same.
[45:57] I mean, I shouldn't say that, but I'd be upset also.
[46:02] And so I fully understand it.
[46:05] He shouldn't be that way.
[46:06] I shouldn't be that way.
[46:08] But he is that way.
[46:09] He's become a very angry person.
[46:10] And I understand you have a couple of others
[46:12] that are caused their defeat, too.
[46:14] And, you know, you'll probably hear from them, too.
[46:16] Yeah.
[46:16] The Press, there's a report you got a proposal
[46:20] from the military to go big and hit them hard
[46:22] over 10 or 14 days.
[46:24] The President Trump's going big.
[46:24] Are you going to consider that?
[46:25] The President Trump's already gone big.
[46:26] Look, I mean, what's big?
[46:28] They had 159 ships.
[46:30] That was their entire Navy, 159.
[46:32] Their entire Navy is laying at the bottom of the sea.
[46:35] I'd say that's going big.
[46:37] They had 200 airplanes.
[46:38] They're all gone, every one of them.
[46:39] They don't have one airplane.
[46:41] They had anti-aircraft weaponry.
[46:42] They're very good, but it didn't work.
[46:45] And it's all gone.
[46:47] Their radar is all gone.
[46:48] Their leaders are all gone.
[46:49] Everything is all gone.
[46:51] But they'll fight onward.
[46:53] The Press.
[46:53] And on Ukraine, you said the other day
[46:55] that you're not sure about whether to grant Ukraine
[46:58] the Patriot missile license that have been discussed.
[47:00] Do you want to see more from Zelenskyy
[47:03] before you take that action?
[47:05] Well, it's a big step.
[47:06] Look, we have the greatest weapons in the world.
[47:09] We have the greatest drones in the world.
[47:11] People don't know that.
[47:12] We have the greatest weaponry in the world.
[47:13] We have, in the case of President Zelenskyy,
[47:17] he'd like to have some Patriots.
[47:18] He'd like to have some Tomahawks, which are lethal.
[47:22] I don't want to say what they've done.
[47:25] But if you give somebody the other day,
[47:31] you read that five missiles were shot.
[47:34] They were going 8,600 miles an hour.
[47:37] Think of it, 8,600.
[47:40] Now, a car, if you go 60, it gets to be a little faster.
[47:43] If you go 100, 8,600 miles an hour.
[47:47] And they were big missiles.
[47:49] And they were shot at Jordan.
[47:51] And our guys were there, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing.
[47:55] Five, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing, bing.
[47:58] That would have been a great sound bite.
[48:05] There were five missiles, and we shot all five down
[48:08] before they got close.
[48:10] Nobody else has that capacity.
[48:12] These weapons are incredible.
[48:14] We have to be very careful about letting somebody build them.
[48:18] You know, it's very important now.
[48:21] We are building many plants now to make those.
[48:24] And the tomahawk missile is the most incredible thing.
[48:27] You can go into a doorway.
[48:28] You can put it through a window of a house.
[48:32] Nobody has ever seen anything like it.
[48:33] You have to be very judicious,
[48:36] but you have to be very careful.
[48:38] Now, we have not agreed to that.
[48:41] We're talking about it.
[48:43] But it's a hard thing to give away that kind of technology.
[48:45] And I don't think this would ever happen.
[48:48] But, you know, those people that you give that technology,
[48:51] they can someday turn on you.
[48:53] You know, that is possible.
[48:54] You look at war.
[48:55] It's happened a couple of times over the years, right?
[48:58] So we have to be very careful.
[48:59] I mean, we guard that.
[49:01] We have the greatest military in the world,
[49:03] but we have the greatest weapons in the world.
[49:05] Now we have to make them a little bit faster,
[49:06] because we've given a lot away.
[49:08] You know, President Biden, unfortunately,
[49:11] gave a lot away to Ukraine.
[49:14] And he gave — and so did I.
[49:16] I mean, I gave them the javelins, the tank busters.
[49:20] Without the javelins, that war would have been a one-day war.
[49:22] It would have been over.
[49:23] They wiped out the tanks going up to Kyiv
[49:26] when they got stuck in the mud.
[49:28] They had a general that decided to go through the mud
[49:30] instead of going up the highway
[49:32] where they were going very nicely.
[49:33] It would have been over.
[49:34] But, no, I gave them the javelins.
[49:36] The javelins are unbelievably —
[49:38] we have the greatest weapons in the world.
[49:40] We have to be very careful about giving out
[49:43] the secrets to those weapons.
[49:44] And they're not — you can't copy them.
[49:48] It's a little like NVIDIA.
[49:51] They have a chip.
[49:52] They say you cannot copy it.
[49:54] The complexity is so great, you cannot.
[49:56] You know, most of these, you copy.
[49:59] China is known for it, other countries,
[50:00] that we do something, and I guess we copy also.
[50:03] You can copy pretty easily.
[50:05] There's a chip that they made there,
[50:08] ultimate chip, and they always have the ultimate chip.
[50:11] And I say, well, why doesn't somebody copy it?
[50:13] Because they can't, the complexity.
[50:16] They can't copy our weapons.
[50:17] We have the greatest weapons in the world, many of them.
[50:20] Those are just two or three that I mentioned.
[50:22] But you cannot copy them, so we have to be very careful.
[50:26] Mr. President, we're on.
[50:27] As Hamas disarms as part of this plan,
[50:29] who do you see as taking possession of those weapons that they have?
[50:32] Does that go to the new government?
[50:33] Well, it's going to be the Board of Peace, mostly.
[50:36] It's going to be run by the Board of Peace.
[50:37] This Board of Peace has been an amazing,
[50:39] it's led by some amazing people.
[50:41] Board of Peace.
[50:42] On Iran, Mr. President,
[50:43] you said they do have some capabilities left.
[50:45] Should Americans be prepared for these back-and-forth attacks
[50:48] to continue until Iran simply isn't able of striking back?
[50:52] They'll get weaker, they'll get a little stronger maybe now,
[50:54] but they'll get weaker, and then they peter out.
[50:58] Yeah, sure, I think so.
[50:59] I mean, it would be foolish to say no.
[51:01] You know, you always have to keep your guard up.
[51:03] What is the status of talks?
[51:04] Who from the administration is talking to the Iran?
[51:07] Well, they always want to talk, but they break their words so often.
[51:08] Steve is talking, Jared, we have very good people.
[51:12] JD's involved, very strongly involved.
[51:15] We have great people talking, Marco's involved.
[51:18] Because they say talks aren't happening.
[51:19] Very good people, we have the best people,
[51:21] but they'll make a deal.
[51:23] As an example, we'll talk about nuclear,
[51:26] and we'll be in there talking about nuclear for seven hours.
[51:28] I say, why do you need seven?
[51:30] You can take 10 minutes, you have five minutes you should solve it.
[51:33] But seven hours, and then they'll go out,
[51:36] and I'll say they discussed nuclear.
[51:39] And they'll go out and they'll say,
[51:40] we never discussed nuclear.
[51:42] And I'll say, why do they say that?
[51:44] All they do is make me angry.
[51:46] You know, they just make me angry.
[51:48] Any other questions?
[51:49] The Pressure Do you believe that you can reach a deal with Iran,
[51:52] given that you talked about how disloyal they are?
[51:54] I'm losing faith in them because they do lie and they do misrepresent.
[52:02] Well, the other day, the five missiles were shot.
[52:04] We knocked them down, but we were in the midst of a negotiation.
[52:06] I mean, I'm waiting for Steve to call me.
[52:08] How's the negotiation going?
[52:11] And instead, I got a call from Pete
[52:13] that they just shot five missiles at one of our bases in Jordan.
[52:18] And we have bases in Jordan.
[52:19] Fortunately, our people operated the equipment.
[52:22] It's also very complex to operate.
[52:24] You know, you talk about the equipment.
[52:25] It's very — you have to be — oftentimes, you see,
[52:28] when did you go to school?
[52:29] MIT, Caltech.
[52:31] I mean, you know, they go to schools
[52:33] that are not as normal for the military, to be honest with you.
[52:37] We have unbelievably brilliant people operating that equipment.
[52:40] And when you don't, you know, the equipment —
[52:44] the shots miss — the safety misses or the accuracy misses.
[52:48] We have unbelievable people.
[52:49] Think of it.
[52:50] We had 111 — at one point, a couple of months ago —
[52:54] 111, over a short period of time, missiles were shot
[52:58] at the Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier.
[53:00] Great, beautiful ship.
[53:02] One of the most beautiful ships to me — designed ones.
[53:05] 111 missiles going out.
[53:08] And of the 111 missiles, 111 missiles were shot down
[53:15] quite a bit earlier than they got —
[53:17] I mean, long before they got there.
[53:19] They were shot down, it was almost — in a couple of cases,
[53:21] they were shot down almost as they were taking off.
[53:25] It's incredible technology.
[53:26] So you have a ship that costs billions of dollars,
[53:30] and you have missiles heading to it.
[53:32] 111 missiles were shot down — routinely shot down.
[53:39] And I speak — I spoke to the people.
[53:40] I like to reward people.
[53:42] I call them up on the President.
[53:44] And they were cool as a cucumber.
[53:47] The Pressure on the last two weeks of strikes by CENTCOM —
[53:51] CENTCOM has said that those were meant to degrade
[53:53] Iran's ability to disrupt the Strait of Ormond.
[53:55] How many more strikes will it take to —
[53:57] which is a significant —
[53:58] The President Well, you never know.
[53:59] Look, I mean, most people would have given up by now.
[54:01] You know, they've got no Navy.
[54:02] They've got no Air Force.
[54:04] Most people would have given up.
[54:05] They haven't.
[54:05] So I give them credit for that.
[54:07] I mean, they're known as being tough.
[54:08] They're tough.
[54:09] Back on Ukraine, did you tell President Zelensky about the Patriots?
[54:13] Did you explain all that to him?
[54:14] I did.
[54:15] I spoke to them about Patriots.
[54:16] I spoke to them about Tomahawks.
[54:18] I spoke to them about everything.
[54:19] I also spoke to them about, let's get this war over with.
[54:22] So last month, they had 25,000 people.
[54:24] It's averaging about 25,000 people a month die.
[54:27] Mostly soldiers.
[54:28] Almost entirely.
[54:30] But, you know, missiles are hitting areas also.
[54:32] But mostly soldiers.
[54:34] They had 25,000 soldiers.
[54:36] The month before that, it was 32,000 soldiers.
[54:39] He said, you've got to get this war over with.
[54:41] I think he wants to make a deal.
[54:43] And I think Putin wants to make a deal.
[54:45] But there's a lot of dislike, as you probably noticed.
[54:47] The Press, he seems very reluctant to make concessions,
[54:50] President Putin.
[54:51] Well, nobody wants to make concessions.
[54:53] But they're both going to have to make some concessions.
[54:56] I mean, you've got to make a deal.
[54:58] 25,000 young, beautiful people.
[55:01] Soldiers.
[55:02] Mostly soldiers are dying a month.
[55:05] It's a ... I ended eight wars.
[55:08] That was the war I thought would maybe go first.
[55:11] And it really hasn't.
[55:12] It's gone last.
[55:13] I mean, I ended wars that were, in theory,
[55:15] much more difficult to end.
[55:16] We had a couple that were into the 30-year category.
[55:22] Well, the Congo.
[55:22] Look at the Congo and Rwanda.
[55:24] That was our nasty war.
[55:26] And ... peace.
[55:28] I don't know how well that was going to stay.
[55:30] But we ended India, Pakistan.
[55:33] Eleven planes were shot down.
[55:35] That was raging.
[55:35] That was ... I used tariffs.
[55:37] They said, if you're going to go to war,
[55:39] 250 percent to each of them.
[55:44] And they screamed and yelled and were very angry.
[55:46] They were both angry about it.
[55:48] And a day later, they called and they said,
[55:50] we will not go to war.
[55:51] But I ended up ...
[55:52] And the Prime Minister of Pakistan said,
[55:55] I saved 50 million lives,
[55:58] because that's too nuclear power.
[56:00] Seriously.
[56:01] Thank you very much, everybody.
[56:02] Thank you.
[56:03] The Press.
[56:04] The Press.
[56:05] The Press.
[56:06] The Press.
[56:07] The Press.
[56:08] The Press.
[56:09] The President, the President,
[56:10] you say that Iran is behind the waters?
[56:11] Can you rule out that Iran is behind that cyber attack?
[56:13] The Press.
[56:14] I don't think you think that ...
[56:15] The Press.
[56:16] The President, you know,
[56:17] who's behind it?
[56:18] Minnesota, because they're grossly incompetent.
[56:19] I think the governor's behind it.
[56:20] The Press.
[56:21] The Press.
[56:22] The President, I don't think there was an Iranian cyber attack.
[56:24] I think that Minnesota ought to get its act together.
[56:25] It's one of the worst-run states, J.D. will tell you.
[56:28] We found tremendous corruption in Minnesota.
[56:29] The Press.
[56:30] And by the way, this gave me a report, massive, massive future things having to do with corruption
[56:37] in Minnesota are happening right now.
[56:39] Thank you very much.
[56:44] Thank you.
[56:53] C-SPAN is as unbiased as you can get.
[56:56] You are so fair. I don't know how anybody can say otherwise.
[56:59] You guys do the most important work for everyone in this country.
[57:04] I love C-SPAN because I get to hear all the voices.
[57:07] You bring these divergent viewpoints, and you present both sides of an issue, and you allow people to make up their own minds.
[57:14] I absolutely love C-SPAN. I love to hear both sides.
[57:18] I've watched C-SPAN every morning, and it is unbiased, and you bring in factual information for the callers to understand where they are in their comments.
[57:28] This is probably the only place that we can hear honest opinion of Americans across the country.
[57:33] You guys at C-SPAN are doing such a wonderful job of allowing free exchange of ideas without a lot of interruptions.
[57:41] Thank you, C-SPAN, for being a light in the dark.
