[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Welcome. This is Zengler, the Tesla semi-advocate, but also expanding coverage to include the data centers at TRIC, Tahoe Regional Industrial Center, which is the general area off of USA Parkway. Today we're looking at Vantage. Vantage is off of Electric Avenue and it commands an amazing view of the surrounding area. You can see the building from I-80 and interestingly or ironically, it's got this beautiful view and the servers have no need of a view and there's very few windows. It seems ironic to me that such an amazing spot in terms of the view of the surrounding high desert will kind of go to waste. So here we go. We're going to zoom in and we're going to talk about it. One thing, the first thing to talk about is it's a three billion dollar. This is Vantage NB1 campus. It sits on 137 acres off of Electric Avenue and the question about, one of the questions I researched is the water usage. You may have seen and you will see a lake, a man-made lake behind it. So it uses reclaimed water and instead of evaporative cooling, which consumes quite a bit of water, it uses a water system rather than traditional evaporative cooling towers. Evaporative cooling towers make more sense in an area with plentiful water. The closed loop cooling system actually uses more electricity. That's the trade-off. But in an area like the high desert of Nevada, where water comes at a premium, it makes sense. And apparently there's a very low amount of water used. The lake, the nearby man-made lake is filled with reclaimed water from Reno Sparks, and the question is, you know, is just how much can we trust that in terms of low water usage? Because that is an issue of concern in this area with a limited amount of water. Those are the chillers, the closed loop chillers, and the vast number of them in comparison to an office building. An office building of this size might have four of these chillers that you see. And in this case, the roof is completely filled with chillers. And then they put a little sheeting around it to protect it from the sun, I guess. So let's take a look at this. So let's take a look at this. So this building has been put up essentially since my last Vantage drone flight. This is a substation put in just for this building. And one of the things that's interesting about when I asked about the water usage is quite a bit of water is used during the construction phase, averaging about a quarter million gallons per day with a daily max of a half a million. So this, this, those pads right there are, here's the lake I talked about, but those pads are all going to take two giant diesel generators each. My understanding is all of these diesel generators, those are the ones that are in place. And you can see that they put them in back to back. They've not finished that eastern side yet. And they still have many more on these concrete pads on the bottom right to go. Each one of those holds two huge diesel generators, apparently only for power outages, not for normal usage. That, that is, that is, seems amazing to know that if the local grid goes down, it requires this many diesel generators to keep up. It gives you an idea. And apparently all of the AI data centers that are going in this area, and there are a lot, are going to use, are going to require the same amount of power as the entire state of Nevada currently uses. I have another video that, that, that right there is the Apple server farm, where they keep your cloud data. And they have done a great job of putting in huge solar fields. This is the tract preparation for a giant tract data center that's going to be about the 10 times the size of Vantage. Anyway, let me know what you think about data centers in general, and if you want me to continue this coverage.
