[00:00:00] Speaker 1: - Hi, Bonnie, what should we do today? [00:00:03] Speaker 2: - State your name and your purpose. - Stuffalo Bill. [00:00:06] Speaker 1: - She thinks you're old because you're bald, Woody. - Why do people keep saying that? I'm not that old. - And I have a name. It's Smarty Pats. Hygiene instructor. You can do it, you can do it. Like a choo-choo, you can poo-poo. Is anything I want added to my list of accomplishments? It's that footage. - We did it. - We did it. - Let's release it tomorrow. [00:00:31] Speaker 2: - It's good to be back, I gotta say. It's been too long, cowboy. [00:00:36] Speaker 3: - Shiny. - Someone needs a brown marker. - Thank you, thank you. - Her name's Lilypad. Looks like a frog, but really she's a leech. [00:00:46] Speaker 4: - I'm sorry, did you say something to me? Jessica. [00:00:48] Speaker 2: - Oh no. - She used the J word. - Hi! - Look, star, deputy, me, no star. - Hey Buzz, what's that? - What, where? [00:00:58] Speaker 5: No. [00:00:59] Speaker 2: - Hey. - I got it, Buzz. I got this. [00:01:02] Speaker 1: - I got it, buddy. [00:01:03] Speaker 5: - Ow, ow. [00:01:03] Speaker 1: Buzz, I got that. - It's good to see them fighting again. - So long, toys. - Are we getting donated? - Mmm, donuts. - No, sweetie. Donated. [00:01:13] Speaker 2: - We're gonna need backup. - That's how cute. [00:01:16] Speaker 1: - Ah, ha, ha, ha! [00:01:17] Speaker 4: - Oh, snap. - Whoa, whoa! [00:01:20] Speaker 2: - You heartless machine. [00:01:22] Speaker 4: - You toys are outta here. Bye-bye. [00:01:27] Speaker 6: - There's something about the Toy Story movies. They've been around for 30 years. There's this shared experience where generations see these movies together. Two and three and beyond. - We get to watch these characters grow up. That's the great part about it. And with Toy Story 5, I just love the idea of toys versus tech. - Woo! [00:01:48] Speaker 4: - Hi there, I'm Lillipad. Let's play! [00:01:52] Speaker 7: - Extinction, not again! - By the introduction of technology, the future of toys is being permanently threatened. - Try to stay calm, Jessie. [00:02:01] Speaker 3: - Buzz, you know me. I'm the definition of calm. [00:02:04] Speaker 8: - Lillipad is the toughest challenge these toys have ever had to face. [00:02:08] Speaker 3: - Me and the toys have been working all summer. - Yeah, uh-huh. - Been trying to get Bonnie to make friends. - Voila, friend made. - Oh, I want one. - Woody! - Is it as bad out there as they say it is? [00:02:20] Speaker 6: - Toys are for play, but tech is for everything. - Woody's come back home and we love showing that he's aged like anybody else. [00:02:29] Speaker 4: - What are you, some sort of old man toy? [00:02:31] Speaker 1: - She thinks you're old because you're bald, Woody. [00:02:34] Speaker 7: - It's so fun having these characters that we love back. [00:02:37] Speaker 2: - It's been too long, cowboy. [00:02:38] Speaker 7: - There's also so many new characters. [00:02:41] Speaker 8: - The age of toys is over! - Enjoy the garage, sucker! [00:02:45] Speaker 6: - In this movie, there's high stakes. - We're gonna need backup. [00:02:48] Speaker 8: - You got a brand new... - Just get me away, Buzz! - Bonnie still needs us! - It's a brand new experience that feels epic with a lot of big laughs, a lot of heart, and emotion that you would expect. [00:03:00] Speaker 2: - Our mission on this planet is to make a child happy. [00:03:03] Speaker 6: - There's nothing like seeing it on the big screen. - Come on, Bullseye! - And who doesn't want to come back and see their old friends? - Buzz, no! - Nice poncho. [00:03:12] Speaker 9: - It's good to see them fighting again. - It sure is. [00:03:19] Speaker 10: - Wait, are we able to do it without the voice? Or should I do it like the voice? Let me, I'ma get it, let me get it. - When I was asked to join the production of Toys35, I was so excited. This was like the first time I was on The Managers, like every day, like what's happening with Toy Story? What's happening with Toy Story? Like, I just couldn't believe that the offer was even presented to me. It's like literally Toy Story. I'm with Woody and Buzz Lightyear. I just grew up watching Toy Story. Like it's such a big movie in my family. My parents love it. My whole family loves it. We all love going to the cinema and watching every new one. So the fact that now we get to watch it and hear a little bit of my voice in it is insane. [00:04:03] Speaker 11: We are going to be in Disney Pixar's Toy Story 5. - Say it, my friend. - It doesn't seem real. - No way. - This is mad. Do you realize how much of a fan I am? Take what gave it away. I don't know who you're trying to impress at Disney. What's with that sheriff badge? [00:04:20] Speaker 12: I knew you wouldn't miss a trick. I, like, wear this all the time. You are ridiculous. [00:04:25] Speaker 13: You know the Pizza Planet. [00:04:27] Speaker 11: We're going to Pizza Planet. [00:04:28] Speaker 13: - The Pizza Planet truck. - Yeah. [00:04:30] Speaker 11: Car. [00:04:33] Speaker ?: Clear! [00:04:35] Speaker 13: That has been in every Pixar movie apart from one. [00:04:38] Speaker 11: Well, which is the only one it's not in? [00:04:40] Speaker 13: I think you're fine, Sean Welby. That was in The Incredibles. [00:04:42] Speaker 11: I have to say, that's a great fact from you. How about this? You know how Buzz Lightyear, his mission was to get into outer space? So they took a Buzz Lightyear toy into space. He went to the International Space Station. [00:04:52] Speaker 12: To Infinity and Beyond. [00:04:53] Speaker 13: Go on Buzz. And Beyond. Is it Beyond or Beyond? [00:04:55] Speaker 11: Oh, don't start the Beyond thing. Beyond. [00:04:58] Speaker 13: To Infinity and Beyond. In my accent, it's Beyond. Right. Okay, let's get all this out now before we go in. What? [00:05:04] Speaker 11: We're here. [00:05:05] Speaker 14: Right, okay. Like, cool. [00:05:07] Speaker 11: Best behavior. Are you keeping the sheriff badge on? Yeah. [00:05:10] Speaker 14: It's cool. I wear this all the time. [00:05:12] Speaker 11: We are the chosen ones. Ha ha! Here we go. Shh. I think we have to be serious now. I've got to get in there. [00:05:18] Speaker 12: Hi, Disney UK fans, I'm Jordan North. [00:05:20] Speaker 11: And I'm Sean Welby and we are so excited. We're here recording our session for Disney Pixar's Toy Story 5. [00:05:26] Speaker 13: Because we're in the actual movie. It's been too long, cowboy. [00:05:30] Speaker 11: Our characters, I feel like they're quite fitting. I play an inflatable flamingo, which I feel like I'm channeling right now. [00:05:35] Speaker 13: And I'm playing the garden gnome. [00:05:38] Speaker 11: Because of your height. [00:05:39] Speaker 13: Wow. Wow. We are super, super excited to invite you to a peek behind the curtain of our time in the booth with Pixar. [00:05:52] Speaker 11: Thanks for having us. [00:05:53] Speaker 9: Welcome to Shepparton. Can't wait to get you recorded and put you in a Pixar film. Yeah, that seems a bit mad. Now you've said that out loud. You don't think I can do it. That's me. What do you think of the old badge? A bit too keen? I don't know. I think that's spot on. See? Where's your memorabilia? [00:06:07] Speaker 11: He's being polite. [00:06:08] Speaker 9: We're going to put you in front of the microphone over here. We're going to play you back the lines that the American voice actors did. And you're basically going to repeat those lines, but in your own way. So obviously we want to make sure that the audience hears you. La la la la la la la la la. [00:06:25] Speaker 11: But I like the wig, bullseye! Whoa, bullseye! [00:06:28] Speaker 14: That doesn't sound good. [00:06:29] Speaker 11: It's getting into character. I think you should just channel a bit more buzz. Yeah. I'm in peace. [00:06:33] Speaker 14: I come in peace. Whoa, whoa, whoa. I come in peace. I cannot believe we're featuring in Toy Story 5. I know. I can't believe it even though there's all this stuff on. I know. It was the first ever film to be done completely in CGI. Trailblazer. And the original Woody, he was meant to be like an evil ventriloquist doll. [00:06:50] Speaker 11: What? [00:06:51] Speaker 14: What? [00:06:52] Speaker 11: Yeah. He has to be the good guys. Woody! [00:06:55] Speaker 14: Came here as fast as they could. [00:06:57] Speaker 11: We're so honored. [00:06:58] Speaker 14: Thanks for doing this and asking us to be a part of it. Gosh, we are so thrilled to have you. [00:07:02] Speaker ?: Come on. [00:07:03] Speaker 12: Please sit. Please sit. [00:07:05] Speaker 6: Come on. Sounds like you've been a garden gnome before. I don't know about that. [00:07:08] Speaker 12: No. No, no, no, no, not there. No, no, no, no, not there. No, no, no, no, not there. The Blazers return. [00:07:13] Speaker 14: You said you couldn't sing. [00:07:15] Speaker 13: I really can't. [00:07:16] Speaker 14: Quick, lock the door before they change their minds. Get in the vibe a bit. [00:07:21] Speaker 11: No. No, no, no, no. Please. That's like when you're on your wisdom teeth out. To Blazers return. [00:07:31] Speaker 6: Don't tell Jordan, but you're much better. [00:07:37] Speaker 11: I went through all the emotions. [00:07:38] Speaker 6: So basically what we're saying is it was all brilliant. [00:07:41] Speaker 12: Thank you, Ben. Thanks so much. We hope you guys are as excited to watch Toy Story 5 as we are. [00:07:48] Speaker 11: We are. Do make sure you catch our debut as. Garden Gnome. And the inflatable flamingo. And that's only in cinemas from the 19th of June. [00:07:56] Speaker 12: To infinity and beyond. I can't say beyond. Beyond. Beyond. [00:08:00] Speaker 11: Please, please. Don't say it wrong here. [00:08:02] Speaker 12: To infinity and beyond. You do it. [00:08:05] Speaker 7: To infinity and beyond. We headed on over to Pixar to catch up with the cast. What's one magical memory you can share with T23 fans? [00:08:16] Speaker 5: If you want to have a New York story that the sanitation engineers, you know, on their truck driving by. Oh, the dead. They say, hey, Woody, there's a snake in my boots. I get a lot of stuff like that. Sometimes they're hanging on the garbage trunks. They have a snake in my boots. I get that. Dirty Buzz and Woody. And by the way, made my day. I must say, when the sanitation engineers could throw a Toy Story reference at me, I win. [00:08:42] Speaker 7: Which toy in the Toy Story world would your childhood self like the most? I like the Green Army Men. [00:08:49] Speaker 2: I love those. Legitimately, that was my favorite toy. [00:08:53] Speaker 5: I'm going to say the Etch-A-Sketch. Ooh. Because I think if you added up the amount of time I tried to create something on an Etch-A-Sketch. A circle. Ever tried to do a circle? Well, I tried to do a circle or, you know, keep like a cursive kind of like thing. Yeah. But the great thing about it, that's no good. Yeah. And then come back and do it again. And it kind of looked like a TV, which was a big deal at the same time. [00:09:15] Speaker 7: Do you ever have your own fan moments where you're like, I can't believe this is happening? Like a geek out moment. [00:09:20] Speaker 2: Well, never stops. And the public and the crowds and the kids and the press people yelling your name. And of course, Tom waving at the crowd. [00:09:27] Speaker 5: I do do that. These people show up because it's Toy Story. They are going to see Woody and Buzz. And it's different because it's important. And while I just say, can you believe that we are part of this? It's a show business moment without a doubt. [00:09:44] Speaker 7: Huh? So I'd like to know for you both. Can you tell us one magical moment just working on this film and creating these characters? There's so many. [00:09:51] Speaker 4: This is all magic. It's true. I mean, we're at Pixar right now. Yeah. Look at this place. They've worked so hard on this incredible movie that we're so proud to be part of. Yes. Now we're here and it just feels, it does feel like magic. It does. [00:10:07] Speaker 7: We're just going to hop on the charger. Battery could use a little refresh. In honor of Lilypad, when your batteries are low, is there a Disney movie that you would watch to recharge? All of Andrew's movies. [00:10:17] Speaker 4: Yeah. Finding Nemo. Finding Nemo. Yeah. Oh my gosh. It's instant joy. [00:10:24] Speaker 7: So it sounds like you might have a moment where you feel like a fan yourself in this whole process. Is there like one? Continuously. Totally. [00:10:31] Speaker 4: Totally. Oh, I'm just fangirl city over here. I'm sitting, I have to jump. Oh, silly. Can I have to jump you with that? She's just cray cray. [00:10:40] Speaker 3: No. Listen. We just showed up for our little vertical piece in this big opera of animation and technology and we saw the movie together the first time. And it was mind blowing. We got to experience it as fans. They're special. Yeah. And we just got to be a little piece in it. Yeah. [00:11:06] Speaker 2: Stand back, everyone. To infinity and beyond. You are a toy. This isn't flying. This is falling with style. [00:11:21] Speaker 6: In 1995, we were aware that we might be one of the first computer animated feature films. We had no idea that it would be such an impact in the moment. Yes, sir. Nobody predicted it would produce more films than that we'd all be here now talking about it. That's crazy talk. [00:11:38] Speaker 5: I can't stop Andy from growing up, but I wouldn't miss it for the world. [00:11:41] Speaker 6: The thing I can say about the Toy Story movies that makes it special is that they embrace time. They embrace childhood and growing up. And so it kind of feels like a ride we're all sharing together. I can remember like it was yesterday sitting in a room alone with Pete Docter and starting to laugh and go, Can you imagine it was like you're walking around the main street of Disneyland and we would laugh like that was such far-fetched thinking. [00:12:05] Speaker 15: Toy Story is one of the most beloved franchises going back several generations and our guests can actually experience it all around the world. Between lands and attractions, there's something Toy Story at all of our six theme parks globally, as well as experiencing the magic of Toy Story aboard several of our Disney cruise ships, including the Destiny and the Adventure. Experiences like the ones we have for Toy Story around the world help take things to a new level because you get to live inside the story you've been watching. We've had such a great collaboration with Pixar, we've really been able to continue to infuse storytelling into the experiences our guests can have at the parks. It's incredibly exciting for us at the Walt Disney Company to tell stories like Toy Story across so many different platforms. It's a unique identifier and something we take a lot of pride and collaboration in. [00:12:56] Speaker 16: It is so great to work on a film about toys and then to be able to make the toys. It's a difficult thing to be able to do. These characters in particular are timeless. They are so meaningful no matter what your age is. What? [00:13:11] Speaker 1: She thinks you're old because you're bald, Woody. Hi there, I'm Lily Pat. Let's play! [00:13:17] Speaker 16: Seeing these characters on the screen and then being able to bring them into our home, into our everyday lives. This collaboration between all the different parts of the Walt Disney Company is something that only Disney can do. [00:13:30] Speaker 17: Our Toy Story characters show up in our work with children's hospitals around the world, whether that be a mural painted on a long hallway or our magic windows that we have in waiting rooms. We know this deep emotional connection can really bring a sense of hope and joy and happiness to kids and to families in a number of situations, but particularly at a time when it's needed most. We've been a long-standing partner of Make-A-Wish for 45 years now, and over the last three decades we've granted so many different wishes that are tied to Toy Story. The beauty of Toy Story is this generational impact that it's had on families for the past 30 years. It not only connects with the kids, but it connects with their parents because oftentimes they go right back to where they were when they saw their first Toy Story movie. You see these kids light up, you see these incredible smiles, and you see how parents are looking adoringly at their kids, and I will tell you it's something that you will never forget.
