Toy Fair 2019: Jurassic World at Mattel

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Welcome to Jurassic World at the New York Toy Fair. Today we're going to be talking about what's coming in 2019. Now there are three big takeaways for 2019. The first is our Dino Rivals theme. This will be highlighted in a new packaging as well as a refresh in our Jurassic Facts mobile app. Now Dino Rivals capitalizes on the combat between the species of dinosaurs and you're going to see that reflected across several price points with our dual strike action feature. This is a dual button activation with species specific combat action for a Triceratops. Our back button is going to activate that tail strike or it's going to activate that head strike. One thing to note about this assortment, we do have a new species coming, the Nostoceratops. She and our Allosaurus are going to be featured in a live action short pre-roll. It's going to roll before the new Fast and Furious movie in the summer of 2019. Very cool. There's sound effects with these or? No sound effects for these but we do have that dual button action. I like that. We move up in scale, we've got our dual strike, our mega dual strike assortment. Of course, Sukumimus, we've got our tail strike. Oh, cool. As well as that biting motion. We have two new species coming for our mega dual strike assortment. One is the Quetzalotlis, a large flying species that's gotten a lot of press in the world of paleontology this year. The other one is our Amargasaurus. With head and tail strike, this one marks the first appearance of a sauropod in our Jurassic line. That being said, for the spring we have our Fight and Fight T-Rex. Dual button activation. Back button unleashes that epic tail strike. Forward button gives us a power force chop. Oh, wow. With the rotation. Yeah. Oh, wow. Amazing, right? That is cool. Yeah, and she's got the movie accurate deco along with the features. It's an incredible execution for an iconic character. Next we have our Destroy and Devour Abominus Rex. I see it already. Oh, yeah. We're going to set up Chris Pratt. Oh, no. Oh, yes. Oh, God. Now, she comes out in Fall 2019. Dual button activation. Forward button activates those movie authentic sounds as well as our swiping dagger-like claws. Back button activates our jaw as well as that core. No. Yeah. No. It's worse. We're going down. We're going to pick up Chris. Wow. Tilt him back. She's hungry enough to gobble him down. Now, it's incredibly bright in here, but if you see, there is a red LED light inside her throat that highlights and silhouettes the figure inside. We tilt her back down. We can spin him back up. Nice. Ruthless. Super Colossal Blue. She is the longer than our Super Colossal T-Rex, and similar to our Super Colossal T-Rex, articulation in the jaws, shoulders, legs, and she is hollow. The road is hollow. We can feed all kinds of figures right down our gullet. Dinosaurs too? Dinosaurs too. Yeah. The tiniest. Our miniatures are great with this one. The appetizer. Oh, yeah. Now, over here we've got our Aurora Boris assortments. This was a breakaway success for 2018. Massive, massive success. Single button activation with sound and action species. So, let's sit down. Now, we know that kids want freshness and character as well as sound features. So, we'll refresh this in the new year. In the fall, we'll have four aggressive species with new deco and packaging. So, keep an eye out for our Aurora Boris assortments. Over here, we have our Snap Squad. Snap Squad. I like that. Maintains the aggressive look of Jurassic in an adorable execution. So, each one has a lip on the back of their head. We pinch it, opens the jaws, and I can clip these to backpacks, lunch bags, sisters, whatever we want. That's cute but dangerous. Cute but dangerous. I noticed we've kept the arms loose, and the tail, and the legs. So, we've articulated all of those. Beautiful. That's awesome. Yeah, yeah. Amazing, right? Yeah. These are the packaging. Oh, cool packaging. Try me action. And when are those coming out? Fall. 2019. Yep. And then over here, we've got our primal pal, Blue. Capitalizing on the most popular character of Jurassic World. We're going to capture those intimate and heartwarming moments when Owen trains our baby blue Velociraptor. Now, she has an innovative motion feature. I can grab onto her sides, put pressure on her back, and we can make her wiggle, turn, chomp, articulation, through the neck, shoulders, feet, and tail, as well as glass eyes for a realistic look, bringing her to life in a whole new way.
