"i mean there's so many things i buy in this collection but that is the one figure that's been on the top of my list for years how much how much how much do you think uh it's gonna be a lot it's gonna be like a lot of like probably more than you have in your pocket right now what you say all right..."

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: i mean there's so many things i buy in this collection but that is the one figure that's been on the top of my list for years how much how much how much do you think uh it's gonna be a lot [00:00:09] Speaker 2: it's gonna be like a lot of like probably more than you have in your pocket right now [00:00:30] Speaker 3: what you say all right guys we're finally happy we've been invited to check out this collection for years and years and years yeah we tried to make the time but we finally did it derrick short a.k.a turbo guy legendary major pod fan we're in his home we're gonna check out one of the best wrestling [00:00:52] Speaker 1: figure collections in the world yeah we're gonna take a whole tour of his tour room see his rare stuff i might even buy something what's for sale hopefully he lets us in oh hey guys whoa oh what [00:01:08] Speaker 3: whoa what are you guys doing here we're taking it up on your offer how do you know i was thirsty for [00:01:13] Speaker 1: oh garage beer you know we're on brand in this house cheers this is wild oh boy [00:01:26] Speaker 3: this is your pictures don't do this just next level oh my i don't know if we have enough time today [00:01:38] Speaker 1: bro there's stuff on the ceiling start there's stuff on the walls derrick how does this all like [00:01:43] Derrick Short: you know what's going on here um as a collector i started in the bone cruncher days as like a mock collector i had ljns and hasbros and stuff growing up all throughout my uh my childhood but i started putting a as i was probably around 15 i started doing like the mock thing and uh with the bone crunchers and then it just kind of developed over time i didn't really realize you know when i was living at home at my mother's house still i didn't realize how much stuff was coming in because you only have so much room right right right and then originally when i bought this house my intention was to do this in my basement yeah but when my uh contractor friend came he looked around he's like he's like there's no way we could do this in the basement you have things displayed that i've never [00:02:28] Speaker 1: seen display like i've never seen i've never seen an elijah burke maximum aggression that was a three dollar [00:02:35] Derrick Short: find at toys r us uh probably about two years whoa whoa whoa whoa look at that's that's warrior america that sure is warrior america one of five one of five did you get that slab or you bought it no i bought it slabbed it was signed slammed already and the letter that comes the letter i have other letters also is that is that for sale uh i mean everybody has a price right i don't have that that is the one wrestling figure that i want that i do not have go back and check out live too if you want to see i [00:03:06] Speaker 1: remember i almost bought it live too and you got warrior holding it yeah and if you notice that's [00:03:12] Derrick Short: the same day that the warriors got right that your warriors got signed uh that was the that was the first his last like big public signing too right that was the first wrestlecon that was the day of wrestlemania 29. what is some of this macho man stuff this is a macho man jordan what is this yeah those i don't know if they were officially wwe style jordan no but they were definitely inspired [00:03:36] Speaker 3: because if you look you see the hogan one right above it i've never seen that every bendy on display [00:03:41] Derrick Short: like this or like rumblers or like well bendy's is where bendy's is where i'm actually missing somebody that's one of the few lines that bendy you're missing who are you missing we'll take a look [00:03:51] Speaker 1: god you got it oh he needs a scottie too hotty doesn't have that even if that makes you feel any better it does actually a little bit yeah yeah he doesn't even want that so you you're mixing hasbros retros zombie sailors it looks nice all together what you have rules you're like [00:04:09] Derrick Short: something oh my god even grapplers and gimmicks do you have specific rules i do have rules um and the reason why i mix them is because psychos like us don't know any better right right normal people look and see like i have friends that have a hundred percent they come over growing up wow and i've had friends that you know i've had since forever and we played hasbros together and they come over and they're like wait where'd you get power and glory from that's what it's all about they didn't have you know the black-haired greg valentine wait i thought they didn't make that right you know and then they start seeing wait they made managers and stuff and then you explain what's going on and uh but as far as my timeline for this goes this goes from when well i kind of am phasing out the earlier 80s i go from when hasbro series one was first complete which was [00:04:56] Speaker 3: those figures are based off 89 89 yeah the last photos of 89 delivered in 90. the last thing that [00:05:03] Derrick Short: happened that made that set accurate was the million dollar man getting the million dollar belt yep so i go from there up until oh it's smart okay true for all and we're all crazy like you made this up here i go from there up until 1996 wow so because i figure rule okay i might copy that rule bone crunchers because you look at when bone crunchers began yes and those represent the fall of 95. that's very smart this back row with isaac ganko yeah yeah so that's all like you know 94 95 and i have the same [00:05:36] Speaker 3: rule with ljns and brgs montoya which guys we talked to zombie sailor today in the car we're selling heels of faces of all time help him out a little bit you know what i do like how you mix it [00:05:45] Speaker 1: i was i was against mixing them but i really like what you did here i want to talk about these ljns here look at this matt cardona and brian myers with the lj tag team tiles i like it of course yeah i like it [00:05:57] Derrick Short: what are these little guys down here these customs are something yeah uh my brother actually gets these from for me and you'll probably hear that a lot but they're little ceramic guys wow this is interesting a friend of his makes them it's on the bottom give him a little shout out plug ski there right there man i love your magnum and dusty they look perfect together i do get the nwa guys too most of them so what's your what's your rule for big rubber guys big rubber guys i go i try to stick wwf and i go from again the beginning of the timeline when hogan won the belt yep until what made the last series of ljns inaccurate which would be when warlord went from powers of pain to singles attire right forget that he's wearing the wrong pants yeah so and that was may of 1990 but because you guys made crush demolition one of my uh i've pushed it to summer slam 1990 because summer slam 1990 was the first pay-per-view where we actually had hasbro's yes for sure wow so that's why it looks so nice he's all standing yeah [00:07:09] Speaker 3: they're leaning a bit it's pretty impressive and they don't really move knock on wood i hope i don't [00:07:14] Derrick Short: jinx myself but bearded kershner bearded on that i actually had to extend this display because when i built this room i built it to fit the existing ljn collection i never never thought in my wildest dreams 30 years later uh you know not 30 years uh 12 years later or whatever it is that i'd be expanding that display now you got cards here as well yeah cards what's the card collection like [00:07:37] Speaker 1: i see a couple uh matt cordona brian myers yeah of course i had to get the i had to get the rookies [00:07:42] Derrick Short: those are super dude coding does that that's i pulled that out of a pack actually wow yeah that's one of my all-time great polls so what's your rule for collecting cards here cards i used to use here cards yeah i used to buy a lot more when they were cheaper quite honestly yeah 300 a box isn't really what i'm looking for but um i used to have i mean i bought cards all throughout my life growing up and stuff so a lot of these are from when i bought them originally or you know sets that i put together over time uh the wrestling all-stars the hogan andre i got the flare graded because i thought it was going to do a little better than that i bought that set i bought that set when my son was born yep my wife got a nice gift my daughter got a nice gift they said what am i gonna do that's right [00:08:26] Speaker 3: so i bought myself i kind of retroactively get myself two nice things from like i bought myself the [00:08:32] Derrick Short: set of series a and it was right before they started exploding i got really maybe one of my biggest regrets in collecting what it is pretty much the unslabbed stuff is stuff that's been from my collection got it and then i've gotten these slabbed you know grades some of them do all right some of them not i'm happy i got a 10 on the roman that's cool rookie roman rookie i got a 10 on this gold rock out of 50. damn which the last sale i mean it's been over a year now but the last sale on that was like 3 500. what that's the only i think still the only major brothers graded card ooh major [00:09:04] Speaker 1: brothers face off yeah i love them the same set as these yes now tell us about these classic supers so this is a line that i think gets not enough love maybe maybe no love it really doesn't this line changed the game uh not just the figure game but the wrestling game like nostalgia celebrated all because [00:09:25] Derrick Short: this line what does this line mean to you i agree 100 and i think that if you started collecting in the mattel era yeah you're spoiled and oh yeah yeah you don't know the struggles you don't know what it meant i could still remember it's like one of those moments in your life like i remember the computer i was sitting at in the bedroom that i was in when i clicked on ringside collectibles [00:09:48] Speaker 3: and saw a collector series one where it even was and ultimate warrant bret hart why yeah i remember the [00:09:54] Derrick Short: walmart in my college where i got them oh god having like a lot of breakdown and and then you know to see the the new lineups that would come out as they yeah i knew guys it was just like oh my god and i think they're one of the reasons why they don't get the love that they deserve is because they're too similar in scale scale to what is available now right a lot of times i think the random accessories don't [00:10:17] Speaker 3: help yeah but i think they didn't care about that at the time you know but at the time it didn't matter that the warlord was coming with a double-sided axe with his skull on it it doesn't age well but i [00:10:26] Speaker 1: see what you're saying i see what you're saying because like a modern collector would rather the [00:10:30] Derrick Short: mattel mr perfect than this 100 and now we're so far past where you guys were just talking about it last week all the guys that one made that the other did right right now because now but guys like apa guys like new age outlaws guys they weren't classic superstars right exactly yes yes yes yes so i think the fact that they're so similar in scale is what kind of hurts because if you think like if mattel started three and three quarter yeah and that was their main scale wouldn't wouldn't you think these would be more sought after yeah you know what you know so i think there's some of that too what's your rules with autographing autographing i just got yeah you used to go to all like you probably are familiar with the legends of the ring conventions i used to go to all of them james who runs you have a lot of [00:11:13] Speaker 3: my guys guys here yeah heenan the fink these were all done kind of like as they were coming out [00:11:18] Derrick Short: a couple a couple sharpies that's why a lot of them were sharpies because paint pens weren't really a big thing back then the silver sharpie was kind of the revolution back then now do you have every classic superstar i have all of series one through 28. 28 the whole you know regular main line yep and i again because i'm kind of i i'm just psych my psycho thing is everything kind of has to be chronological yes so i don't have them in i don't have them in set order because that doesn't make sense right i took them down i like that i kind of put them this is like yeah and then this kind of goes into the wwf you know wrestlemania era if you look through you'll probably see a lot of wrestlemania matchups get crazy where like val venus comes out right yeah yeah it kind of looks silly to be like in the middle of right you know a lot of classic guys so i did the old old guys and then the older nwa guys into the early wcw and then i started with the wwf now what about the uh do you have all [00:12:13] Speaker 1: the rare warriors or just warrior america just warrior america i also have every well if you don't [00:12:18] Derrick Short: have them all do you really need warrior america i mean i have them all but warrior america i mean what is what is my collection there's a decent amount yeah you know that's such a major part no pun [00:12:28] Speaker 1: intended of my collection i mean that's why it's on the top shelf oh look at that right there there cameraman take a little look a little saw it's not even with your classic superstar if someone were to i'm not saying someone would steal it but if someone were to take it you know you wouldn't even [00:12:43] Derrick Short: miss it in this class i would miss it you know why i would miss it because i put it there specifically so that when i come through the door it's directly in my eye path that is true it's a good answer for that i'll give you it's exactly where it's the first thing my eyes go to when i come through the door yeah and elijah burke yeah what is this what is this room this room when we were building this was intended to be a bathroom okay that's why there's like the floor is raised a little bit yeah [00:13:12] Speaker 3: oh my god then again it was just closet tna fan i'm finding out i have some tna represented don't [00:13:18] Derrick Short: worry yo how do you have those on the card uh yeah some of them are refixed the samoa joe is refixed [00:13:25] Speaker 3: the other ones are all good these were part of slammiversary 2010 it was the debut of tna on jacks and uh basically there's like some nightmare thing a cody east agent brian wittenstein can tell you because he worked in the office at the time all the adhesive to the bubble and the carding came [00:13:42] Derrick Short: off the night before they oh my god and they were like taping them and gluing them and that was [00:13:47] Speaker 3: happening in stores too on shelves so it was hard to get a complete yeah man you got all these posters [00:13:53] Speaker 1: in here signed buff hat like your non-wwe world huh pretty much yeah eve torres cup not to discriminate [00:14:01] Speaker 3: but you know if you would have told me there was an eve torres 7-eleven hey nwa world's title signed by [00:14:07] Derrick Short: matt cardone i love that to face that that was a uh that was a jimmy's a post live show wow signature [00:14:14] Speaker 1: special autograph yeah you missed one of the what's that whoa the hogan dennis robin two-pack complete [00:14:23] Speaker 3: yes sir wow doing a lot of wcw toy business huh damn what where's the ladder that you feel because i have uh target all your hands like how did you get that up there i have a rolling scaffold that i use [00:14:36] Speaker 1: in here all right talk about i need to know about the bone crunchers are there rules for the bone crunchers is there you know an order to them what are you doing here i believe none of this falls over there [00:14:47] Derrick Short: is now these once in a while i'll come in and find one on the floor but they don't you know they don't get damaged now this is an error order as well this is an error order also i appreciate this that's why double j is up here towards the i was about to say yeah it doesn't quite make sense you know so this goes from like i said you know when goldust debuted that was the last piece that completed series one okay so that's a series three gold dust though that's fine and i know why because of the line yeah but uh yeah of course better deco but um so we go from you know the fall of 95 and this pretty much goes to like the end of 97 ish on this side so wild like displayed like this and then this picks up you know 97 into 98 into the bottom and i go from when gold dust debuted until when chris jericho's titantron came out jericho was the first titantron that didn't have a bone [00:15:41] Speaker 1: cruncher i like these rules i love i'm gonna steal a lot of this in my toy room well i try to you know i try to put some thought how do you know like when i'm gonna switch it up and do a repaint or new [00:15:53] Derrick Short: mold how do you decide that um i pretty much just go with the the major molds that were made right uh you know you'll notice i probably don't have every mold of every guy right right right um and again series order and that kind of stuff isn't as much isn't as important to me that's why i kind [00:16:10] Speaker 3: of have like you know this dx the way they go yeah i do it makes sense otherwise right i think the way you would do it is more to a wrestling fan it's more yeah and like i said and that's why you'll see [00:16:20] Derrick Short: multiple guys you know the same guy in there multiple times yes they fit in like kane you can't have undertaker without having kane absolutely but you also cannot not have kane in the corporation corporate kane that's right you know xbox and kane rounded off um this display i kind of had in mind because of the shootout game and i'll say this is all right beautiful right here lower table yeah but i was kind of like not too happy about like the little guys running in and yeah it's the same thing [00:16:45] Speaker 3: with my wrestling buddies i saved so i wanted a main condition for my kids to play with i let them play for the hour one day and i was like that's it yeah of course like it just of course they're like 300 [00:16:53] Derrick Short: pillows like what am i like what am i going to say to like my nieces and nephews you know what i [00:16:57] Speaker 3: mean thousand plus and it's this condition oh it's a lot of money um and i put this together myself i [00:17:02] Speaker 1: got it in the box right now let's also make note of the fact that this thing is custom built this is [00:17:08] Derrick Short: custom right yeah because like i said because there's figures a display like a vhs store no this um i wanted to raise this up so i wanted to put something on it and then like the thought hit me that if i could put some shelves around it yeah and i could take a lot of my bone crunchers off the wall and then have more space you know um so i called up my dad and my dad's pretty handy and i said i got this idea and he was like all right and a half hour later he was here we were in home depot wow and he put this together in a couple hours for what yeah he put it together he put it together right in here and uh you know it's incredible right here and it's pretty much and i like to have i got the toy biz on this side because i wanted it to have kind of like a monday night war kind of vibe so i got the bone crunchers going into toy biz and again this isn't in series order it's kind of like early nwo some heavy hitters wcw wolf pack hollywood what i love about this collection is that vampiro is signed on the wall in there vampiro and shane douglas are signed on the wall in the other room speaking of rare boys [00:18:15] Speaker 1: rick flair employee edition you have another classic superstar up here uh-huh rick flair employee edition one of 25. hollowed out back yeah if you look you can see it from the from the back oh my god you even have the 1996 bret hart glasses that mattel refuses to make yeah so mattel these are the glasses he wore in 96 with the black and pink fans don't even know they exist because mattel refuses to make them but look it's mark henry chocolate bar like wild stuff but nothing looks unorganized how is your [00:18:44] Speaker 3: like you just go places and see things now like how's your modern day a deborah mcmichael toothbrush by the [00:18:50] Derrick Short: way jerry lawler burger king crown side i have to say a lot of the weirder stuff i have an older brother who is very generous and if he you know he finds a lot of this oddball stuff and he picks it up for me um otherwise yeah like when i go to shows and stuff i don't necessarily buy like the random stuff off ebay because god knows you get lost yeah and whatever so i try to buy stuff and now it's really now that i'm like older now it's about stuff that was more meaningful sure like these ultimate warrior wristbands where yeah i got those at the first house show i ever went to that's awesome um this hogan mirror is like the oldest piece of wrestling merchandise i have that i remember my uncle buying for us when we were like when we first moved to this town this is from like 85. oh my god [00:19:39] Speaker 3: how do you have a pizza box on my edge and hogan and sean like the pizza what is that like every time [00:19:46] Derrick Short: i look i see something else like the hogan pizza box we were eating just at a local place over here and i saw them like coming out of the kitchen so i said to the lady i was like hey can i get one of them boxes with hulk hogan on it and she i was like i'll buy the pizza but like please don't put the pizza in the box please what i've never heard of a summer slam pizza box well neither did either one of [00:20:04] Speaker 3: them when when i got it signed vaguely remembering it like seeing it now so what are these these so [00:20:11] Speaker 1: some mattels are over here some over there what's the what are we looking at here well this is the [00:20:16] Derrick Short: just the lineup of wwe champions the proper wwe champion now this is cool this is a cool collection [00:20:22] Speaker 1: here man i wish i would have guessed that before wow wow if i gave you a minute i'm sure you would have all the belts and it's in order huh yeah that's pretty impressive that's see this is the unique [00:20:33] Derrick Short: stuff wow and i would love for them to make the last four that they never made so who's that buddy rogers ivan koloff stan stasiak and pedro morales now is this gear like that they had the title this is not gear specific some of them like kofi is but that that's not like a rule it's kind of you got [00:20:51] Speaker 1: to replace that yoko asap that's tag team yoko yeah that was oh yeah yeah you didn't do yoko pal [00:20:58] Speaker 3: that's all otherwise damn ec dub on this bottom shelf here is not really sitting right with me that's another one though one of everybody nova is back there i'm like wait a second yeah jersey zone [00:21:11] Speaker 1: yeah the bottom shelf gets a little hard to make out now i see you have a tugboat retro you want to tell the story about the tugboat we'll b-roll in the tugboat that's how we met because you were the two up that is tugboat and then uh i slid into dms and bought it so what's the story behind the tugboat [00:21:26] Derrick Short: uh you didn't even slide into my dms because i didn't even have dms at the time when i get your personal number the story is write them a letter i don't even remember a friend of mine who had just recently seen my collection and taken some pictures saw that you guys put up on twitter right when the pod started yeah like send us pictures of your collections yes yes and he said he said can i please send them some of your pictures i said yeah and i said if you want to see if they're actually looking at this or if they're just like scrolling through yeah i said put up a picture that includes the tugboat yeah because if they're paying attention yeah that will get their attention and then there was one day i'll never forget it was a sunday afternoon i was at the gym on the stair master pumping away and my buddy starts calling me like he wouldn't ever call me on a sunday afternoon for no reason and he's going i put the picture up and they're dming me and they're asking me all these questions and i don't know what's going on i don't know what to tell them so and i didn't have facebook twitter no nothing at that time so i was like i don't know i said send them my phone number he really wants to talk about it and then i got home from the gym took a shower came down from the shower and then i came downstairs and on my phone was a number from a like a number that wasn't in my phone yeah we don't have to say what the number is no of course not uh and i opened it up and it said hey this is matt cardona slash zach ryder yeah wow i hear you have a tugboat too up where did you get it i got it when it was first put do you remember when it was yeah so people thought it was fake people thought it was fake but like for stupid reasons the lines aren't straight it's hand painted of course and they bro they were paced they were posting links to how you can double the size right right you need an engineering degree you're like i'm not mr wizard like i'm not going to and if i have that type of knowledge i'm certainly not building [00:23:06] Speaker 1: wrestling fingers so what happened was i found the polyurethane tugboat and i'm like holy [00:23:11] Derrick Short: shit this matches the two up perfectly because by before the two up was when the drawing came out yes so you just looked at the two up if you took a look at it with like you know if you weren't a weirdo and you just like took an honest look at it it matched the drawing perfectly right but people are like it's a big boss man legs no it was not big boss man legs and it's not even if you look close enough it's not even the same face as no it's not right it's not but yeah everybody was fake and blah blah blah blah and then i kind of like devalued it right and then you bought it off of i bought it off of the person who put it out right originally you probably got for a steal i mean definitely uh not not really a steal but you know yeah but that's why we call you tugboat guy yeah [00:23:50] Speaker 3: i think i realized they made so many of these guys now what's this stack down yeah stack down i think [00:23:54] Derrick Short: that's an underrated line actually for like you said for the amount of different people that they make [00:23:58] Speaker 3: miss out on this i don't know you got screwed damn this i'm only missing one in there too but it's [00:24:02] Derrick Short: brodus clay so i'm not really sorry but it's not really like you know i can't believe we've been [00:24:08] Speaker 1: in this room for like a half hour and we've only been in one quarter show us what else we got all right so tell us about this this wwf world heavyweight championship this replica real deal what's this [00:24:20] Derrick Short: uh well maybe you can help me it's certainly not a replica as we're accustomed to as you can see up there those are replicas right i gotta take a picture of this um this is something i bought a long time ago probably 2005 or 2006 on ebay and it was simply titled wwf belt that was like okay title and the picture was the belt completely stretched out yep and just by the design i knew that they weren't making replicas of this sure at that time so i was like oh what's this teeny though it's not it's decent size and this was small if you look at it on hogan compared to i'm just saying like you know the leather is all worn out the leather is all worn out with the strap though it's got it's engraved it's got the reggie parks the plates are worn like the story that came in the ebay listing was my grandfather was given this by a famous wrestler because he drove limos to all [00:25:13] Speaker 3: concerts and sporting events this is wild if this is real i'm trying to find out get some photos to [00:25:20] Derrick Short: the right person and start trying to figure out i've uh i've used it's heavy it's definitely it's certainly not a replica like i have the replica version of there signed by hogan and i mean um how long ago did you get this probably like 2005 2006. yeah like they weren't making like these curved replicas like this yeah that's all of that was i was like all right i'll take a chance on it and then as soon as i bought it you know this was back then when like people could message the buyer on yeah yeah i had messages out the ass right away right after i bought it so then for people trying [00:25:47] Speaker 3: to know people are sickos yeah yeah yeah yeah um so i'm trying to find out unfortunately i made the [00:25:54] Derrick Short: mistake of saying ring used publicly and i got some some feedback or you know some backlash yeah yeah the belt people who tell me that yeah yeah yeah we'll figure it out they tell me that there's only there was only two ring used versions of this and hogan has them both because there's that picture of him in that magazine yeah what he's got them on his shoulders right right right but like what really [00:26:13] Speaker 3: there was only two versions of that belt made in four years shady belt stuff goes around where people remake and refurbish but they're really moving on in the old one right and a lot when i showed i showed [00:26:23] Derrick Short: this to billy peck one time and he had a connection to reggie park yeah and reggie parks responded to him saying that like yeah he made this and he made a ton of these belts for hogan because he would give him the charities he would do that kind of stuff so do you think it's so in that saying that maybe it's a lesser version of the real one maybe purpose the thing is like oh you got to get a photo match but there's like not a lot of from 1986 yeah and there's not a lot of pictures of the back of the belt because everybody says that the ring used ones which you can see in certain spots so i'm not like saying yeah they just say wwf in straight letters it's not the logo so i haven't been able to find a [00:27:03] Speaker 3: picture of it yet either way it's a cool piece either way but either way yeah i think there's something [00:27:08] Speaker 1: to it right yeah it's so worn out for it to not be that's the suspicious thing unless a kid who's playing [00:27:14] Derrick Short: it could you know you don't know supposedly it's a fed title yeah supposedly it's sat on a shelf for [00:27:20] Speaker 3: 25 years that don't look like that's i don't know and it was given well it's been sitting on this shelf for 20 years in the shelf of a sauna like why well they said in a garage oh i mean in a garage [00:27:31] Derrick Short: but i mean it's been sitting on this shelf for almost 20 years so damn right next to your mark henry [00:27:35] Speaker 3: prototype yeah that was unreleased look at that wow unreleased unreleased mark henry remember those oh my god [00:27:40] Derrick Short: there's also an unreleased uh vladimir kozlov rumbler what where is he like unreleased yeah he was never [00:27:49] Speaker 1: released that's cool that's a finish oh look at that zach ryder one li baby of course i hope one [00:27:54] Derrick Short: day this line i would have loved if that continued that was one of my favorite lines you got some awa [00:28:00] Speaker 1: remcos down here but then i see you have some awa remcos over here don't overlook the lawrence taylor [00:28:05] Speaker 3: wrestlemania 11 football and that that's all the guys that came out with him absolutely that's wild man this this i gotta ask these real i'm gonna say no yeah absolutely real soft goods yes i bought [00:28:21] Speaker 1: those way reproduction became a i'm looking for that chain and i'm looking for the real soft [00:28:26] Derrick Short: goods here linda mcmahon's head yeah linda mcmahon's head i think that's you know that's allegedly a jack's linda mcmahon wow it definitely is and now who are these guys like in the shelves like what's the significance guys i like guys that are oh we're there i appreciate that can you spot the difference with our figures yeah different hands you got a point in the open is not what we came with wow i had to give you the point your signature that's right that's right and the wrestler photo point yeah and then those are just like i said you know figures the guys i like figures that some of them have meaning to make amazing ultimates are yeah right oh my god wow more classics yeah this picks up where that side leaves off kind of like 96-ish and this goes through to the end of hey [00:29:14] Speaker 3: look at best wishes from meg love that i can't believe how impossible these two are to find by [00:29:23] Derrick Short: the way very hard to get oh i'm sure you've been looking for those lately for two different reasons [00:29:27] Speaker 1: yeah so i like that your room you can actually sit down besides that one casual wrestling buddies you [00:29:33] Speaker 3: can sit down and watch wrestling that gets cleared off when we when we have people over the classics keep [00:29:38] Derrick Short: going down this wall come on bro deluxe classes yeah the two packs fit really nicely in this space [00:29:48] Speaker 3: over there there's a lot of good now i'm thinking about it there's not one two bags signed in there [00:29:51] Speaker 1: that's what they'd be so you got ruth's aggression as well like what's the rule for ruth's aggression [00:29:58] Derrick Short: one of everybody one of everybody huh one of yeah edge head signed one of my favorite [00:30:03] Speaker 1: favorite detectives of all time jesse and these cards are like great too yeah a lot of them are [00:30:09] Derrick Short: pretty good wow but these were all either ordered off ringside at the time or found in toys r us like [00:30:14] Speaker 3: you were set up at 80s con selling stuff yeah what what's all that stuff extra stuff just where you [00:30:20] Derrick Short: just wow yeah i mean how much i can't ask for much more room than nicer you know yeah yeah yeah what do [00:30:26] Speaker 3: you when you get something new are you like crap or that's what yeah i keep a little bit of space [00:30:31] Derrick Short: you know i try to keep like a little bit of space is this one of everybody who has a mattel no uh mattel i was getting one of every like new character as they would come out but eventually it just got and it got and like you're like i'm not hanging up with jake atlas that's literally the example i use all the time what am i doing but and i had them but i had figures piled up in here stacks and on the floor and i was just like that's where i'm glad you you recognized the issue i said yeah i said if because it was stressing me out i would get aggravated when ringside would put up new lineups and there'd be a guy that i didn't think i needed a figure of guy that had four matches and you know and i thought like if i'm getting aggravated doing this then i'm doing it wrong yeah i'm glad you had [00:31:13] Speaker 1: that moment i i seeing all these ruthless aggression figures on the wall makes me want to display mine because like that's i mean that was our era that's when we got our first ever figure so it was also being a collector and then switching to being a figure yeah which is like historical for us for you [00:31:28] Derrick Short: of course that's the ultimate is that the only primo uh jacks yeah because he was you know he was released in the jacks era the only primo item uh a couple of classics i want them to point out over here yep just the the signed austin classic deluxe wow we got stephan triple h double sign hogan warrior and hogan's paint pen this was the early early days of paint pen went a little wonky oh boy at the end but he tried that's still pretty warrior hogan complete two pack brett uh brett and sean complete and a bunch of them austin and piper a lot of the tag teams i tried to get double signed and then um these promos up here they're up here because triple h in china were the first wrestlers i ever met the day before summer slam 97 they were at a mall over here yeah people these free [00:32:19] Speaker 3: signings people don't realize five bucks five bucks for a triple h in china and look at that full [00:32:26] Derrick Short: hunter hearst helmsley you know yeah and then these other three came from one of my very best friends that i've had for my entire life uh when i had my accident that led me into my physical current physical condition his mom called titan towers and was like hey this kid you know blah blah blah can you send something so my friend came into the hospital one day with a folder with the wwf logo on it and i opened it up and it was those and a magazine with ahmed johnson wow unbelievable but yeah [00:32:56] Speaker 1: man seeing all these figures from all these different eras like i think this is the greatest [00:33:02] Speaker 3: wrestling figure room that i've ever been in sean is on the zipline yeah bro i wanted to do this and now i feel like i have to do it yeah bro and i tried to find like [00:33:14] Derrick Short: the longest corner this is next level possible what's it holding up there's like um there's screws like they're hooks that you screw in holy what bro i'm saying it right now this is the best [00:33:27] Speaker 3: wrestling figure and this is where you hang and watch pay-per-views yeah this is where we watch [00:33:32] Derrick Short: pay-per-views all those guys come off the couch and real people sit there that's cool [00:33:36] Speaker 1: uh i love the uh the the the green n64 with with revenge like that's the n64 i had and that works [00:33:43] Derrick Short: uh a couple months ago maybe three or four months ago i had like five of my best friends over and we ordered pizza hut and we played that for like six hours we just play wow match after match yeah [00:33:54] Speaker 3: are you like civilian friends come over and like what the yeah mostly but mostly everybody that i [00:33:59] Derrick Short: know knows that i know i love wrestling but everybody whether they're fans or not usually thinks it's cool you know usually likes the look of it people come in my room in there um you know what's funny is when like the cable guy comes in or like we have yeah i don't i don't like that either but they come in and they're like oh wow the one the one cable guy came in one time and he's like looking around he's like yo you got the rock i'm like no man i got all these dudes but i [00:34:26] Speaker 1: don't have the most famous person on planet earth yeah i cannot get over how much stuff you have and how [00:34:33] Derrick Short: uncluttered this room looks that's my whole i try to keep my whole life on cluttered it's cluttery it's not it's not fun and then like i said that gives me stress and i don't that's not [00:34:42] Speaker 3: what we're doing this for i do like that much respect to the major major pod wall over here yeah [00:34:47] Derrick Short: yeah scoundrel i may uh i may ask for an autograph on that flag before you guys now these are some custom wrestlemania plaques up here kind of custom yeah because these are custom boys those are those are my tickets wow i was at both of those and then each one had a tops card and you know i got those eight by 10s from that's awesome no figures though thanks bill i got a basic debate it's up there [00:35:11] Speaker 1: i got the basic no i'm talking about oh yeah well my ic title come on this is just an unbelievable collection here dude i can't get over it there's just stuff i could literally spend like hours here asking questions and like yapping up here is that a piper kilt that's a beach towel yeah it's a beach [00:35:35] Derrick Short: yeah yeah like i said my brother picks up random stuff i'm pretty sure you guys have probably never seen a hulk hogan rice krispie treat before what is it it's in here yeah oh wait right next to a picture of you guys first time we met oh wow the first toy drive look how short your hair was what is this hogan rice krispie treat uh you've probably seen the hogan cake pan before you know back in the day well i bought that for my mom because my mom is a great baker and i bought that so that she can make me hulk hogan rice krispie treats for my birthday wow and my family thinks that i'm like really psycho to the point that i would get like offended if somebody cut into the head yeah so nobody cut into the head so at the end of the night i just cut it i put it on a plate covered it in tinfoil and stuck it like in my cabinet for it preserved itself it's scary that we eat stuff because that's honestly from like 2009 2010 yeah oh my god yeah you could take a bite out of it yeah you might not yeah you might break your teeth but yeah wow oh yeah and another one of these i got made up similar to the two i got it out there for you guys uh too bad he's had 40 it wasn't yeah at the time it was his last night i got this signed by hulk hogan and john brian you also this brian i am actually wrestlemania six my everything this was signed at the wrestlecon where i met him with what an iconic sharpie faded on a [00:37:05] Speaker 3: poster like that i know but yeah there's no stopping it it's not unfortunate it's like shelton benjamin's [00:37:15] Speaker 1: everywhere i look there's just something new whether it be a t-shirt or a rare figure or figure that's not rare but it just brings back all these like sentimental feelings yeah i could i could live [00:37:27] Derrick Short: in this room for sure well that was the goal that's why i put couches on the tv in here where do you have where's all the stuff for sale it's in the basement which uh is not in the best of shape what's the price on that uh warrior america over there oh that's a big boy big boy that might have [00:37:44] Speaker 1: to be off camera talk you have a mark sterling mark sterling business card of course a knick major bendy sticker slim jims and then uh an ic title just hanging this about you yeah um with a is that like a top loader over it it is a preserver over because that's kind of faded a bit huh it kind of went into the [00:38:07] Derrick Short: white yeah it's got a top loader over it because these kind of like curl up a little bit yes yes keep it flat yeah um and i like and i have this one over here too that's the tag guys i got the toy versions of the belts signed rather than full-blown replicas because you guys are the toy toy guys so i got i [00:38:26] Speaker 1: appreciate the toy everything you thought goes into that you even have the money in the bank briefcase hanging yep speaking of money come on let's let's talk business how much for that warrior bro let it go i mean i i figured that was i'm always ready i'm not finished i need some more things for my collection i mean that's like the thing that you would buy in this collection i mean there's so many things i'd buy in this collection but that is the one figure that's been on the top of my list for years how much how much how much you think it's gonna be a lot it's gonna be like a lot of like [00:38:55] Speaker 2: probably more than you have in your pocket right now i hope so brucey's just walking around with that kind [00:38:59] Speaker 1: of well you take cash i that's preferable let me let me let me call chelsea and um yeah let me get let me get back to you you might want to let me go i'm gonna go i'm gonna go call the wife all [00:39:11] Derrick Short: right sounds good what do we have here uh this is actually my first ever prosthetic that i got as you can see i've i've been an amputee for almost 30 years now oh damn and um the first leg to kind of help with the mental aspect of it they try to fashion it like a real leg would look okay so that's it's got like some foam and some kind of like you know skin covering on it uh but obviously [00:39:37] Speaker 3: you grow out of them and stuff like that and i'm sure the technology's changed yeah the technology has [00:39:41] Derrick Short: changed um and you also they're heavier like that you kind of like start to get over the self-conscious thing and you're like you're looking for function of course yeah um so that's why only the that's the only one i have like that but that's why you know what was i going to do with all of these legs that i have get them signed by amputee wrestlers which there seems to be a growing number of so unfortunately but yeah this is me and zach owen from uh pws that's a railway rec center sure is you know that yeah yeah so i got him to sign that one day and actually the funny thing is uh i had to have my brother take that for me to the signing so my able-bodied my fully able-bodied brother walked up there was a separate time the photo is a separate time yeah the photos the photos years later because i seem to never be able to actually like catch up with i have this opportunity [00:40:34] Speaker 1: of a lifetime i have this opportunity of a lifetime just came up i have an opportunity to buy warrior america it's a lot of money but what do you think can i do it to buy who warrior america usa warrior jazz class superstars only five in the world i have no idea who that is that's a yes i love you babe i'll talk to you later okay i'll see you bye babe but do you know where matt's been this has been i don't [00:41:00] Speaker 5: know if i'm starting to get worried oh what cashing in the money in the bank i want that classic is he crazy is he crazy warrior america yes i told you i'm always ready so derek what do you say do we [00:41:31] Derrick Short: have a deal or what that's that's a lot of broski box yes it is i told you i was always ready you [00:41:42] Speaker 5: you are always ready i think we have a deal oh baby let's go shake oh it's official it's official go get me the figure this is easily the most rare figure i'll [00:41:59] Derrick Short: probably ever own but everybody has a price do i get to keep the tassels yeah you can keep the tassels
