The Mike Vrabel - Dianna Russini Reporter-Coach Scandal Takes a SHOCKING Twist as 2020 Photos Emerge

[0:00] literally 24 hours ago less than I was like who cares about this story of this New England [0:04] Patriots coach and this reporter seems like a private matter whatever but it actually has [0:09] gotten so huge like the number of people who have said they wanted to hear us cover it I'm like okay [0:15] um and people on my staff who are like I can't I can't get enough of it I think it's because it's [0:21] touching on like some very basic human themes no one no one likes infidelity and no one likes [0:27] lying repeated lying obviously if you're in an affair you're lying to your spouse you know your [0:33] partner but this lying went well beyond that and now may have crossed over into what looks like [0:39] diabolical like serial pathology amongst both parties involved and so let's just set it up for [0:48] the audience have you been following it I've I've been doing the best I can to avoid it like the [0:54] plague but it is so big you cannot you cannot avoid it so following it no it's been following me [0:59] it's so true I agree with that fully and and it caught me here I am now 24 hours later ready to [1:12] discuss it really the the baby news is what did it for me but I'll get to that I want to put the cart [1:17] before the horse so she is a reporter who was with ESPN for a number of years and he is the head coach [1:26] of the New England Patriots but he was the head coach of uh what's the other team Tennessee Titans [1:36] thank you Tennessee Titans um so he moved from one to the other and she's been covering him [1:41] for quite some time in that role now what happened here is that uh a couple of weeks ago April 7th it [1:48] came out reported by page six of the New York Post that they were spotted um at this Tony Little [1:55] resort in Sedona Arizona a boutique resort set against the breathtaking Brins Mesa mountain range [2:03] where a page six spy reported that they had breakfast on the patio of the hotel restaurant [2:10] around 10 30 in the morning on Saturday March 28th all right now I just want people to picture [2:15] like you find out your spouse is with another member of the opposite sex at 10 30 a.m. on Saturday [2:23] at a like lover's retreat in Sedona already it's bad if I see Doug standing there holding the hands [2:32] of some woman never mind embracing as this picture shows in the in the foothills of Sedona at 10 30 on [2:39] a Saturday morning we're gonna have a problem he and I he would never do that to me uh okay then they [2:46] spent a leisurely hour or so together at the pool then lounging side by side in a hot tub Jesse in a [2:54] hot tub nothing good ever happens between a woman's spouse or a man's spouse and someone other than [3:02] the spouse in a hot tub after having hand holding embracing at 10 30 in the morning and then an a [3:08] leisurely hour at the pool the spy for page six spotted them again that evening seems like a rather [3:15] long business outing on the private rooftop of one of the hotel's bungalows roofs are only accessible [3:22] reports page six from the two-person bungalows which cost up to $2,100 a night so you can't get to the [3:30] roof where they were spotted unless you are renting one of the two-person bungalows photos show the two [3:36] of them at sunset weaving their fingers together as they stand face to face the spy said they saw them [3:42] briefly dance together Jesse you and I have been together in person quite a few times we never [3:47] danced together never held hands never embraced other than the initial hey good to see you the tap [3:53] embrace um they danced together they insisted that they were that they were there with friends this is [4:01] the defense they simply were not visible in the pictures the friends somehow managed to avoid [4:06] the spies from page six and avoid all of the many photos that we are putting on the board now a source [4:13] close to Rossini her name is Diana Rossini his name is Mike Vrabel she's 43 he's 50 um said she was [4:22] staying at the hotel during a hiking trip with two female pals one of Vrabel's pals told page six that [4:29] they and the coach drove up to Sedona for the day with someone else another friend and they all drove back [4:35] to their own hotel two hours away after hanging with Rossini and her gang that night but three [4:39] other eyewitnesses told us they did not see anyone else with Vrabel or Rossini so we don't know what's [4:47] true that's how it first came out and the coach told page six when the story was breaking these photos [4:51] show a completely innocent interaction any suggestion otherwise is laughable this doesn't deserve any [4:56] further response Rossini told page six the photos don't represent the group of six people who are hanging [5:01] out during the day like most journalists in the NFL reporters interact with sources away from [5:07] stadiums and other venues the executive editor of the athletic which employs her said these photos are [5:14] misleading and lack essential context these were public interactions in front of many people Diana is [5:20] a premier journalist covering the NFL we're proud to have her at the athletic well no sooner did they [5:24] issue that statement on April 7th then four days later the athletic began an investigation into her [5:29] they began reviewing uh her coverage and her and said in the meantime she's not going to be reporting [5:35] while this investigation is underway and three days after that she resigned she resigned claiming i've [5:41] done nothing wrong i've been the picture of professionalism this media frenzy is hurtling forward [5:46] without regard for the review process these the self-feeding speculation is unmoored from the facts [5:54] rather than allowing this to continue i've decided to step aside now before my current contract expires on [5:58] june 30th i do so not because i accept the narrative that's been constructed around this episode but [6:02] because i refuse to lend it further oxygen or let it define me or my career okay i'm gonna pause there [6:10] so at this point the story you and i are trying to avoid this as we don't know what it is doesn't look [6:16] great but it's not proof positive maybe they were friends why is it my business and let me just ask you [6:22] at that point should it have been a public feeding frenzy and a huge story no and i've never under i [6:31] i just look maybe i'm different uh maybe it's because i'm a total narcissist i just have never [6:36] gotten into celebrity gossip stuff like i never under when one of them gets a dui or something i don't [6:42] i don't understand why it goes on the front page i don't i don't care i mean not that getting a dui is [6:46] good i mean i don't i don't support running off to sedona with your girlfriend uh certainly when you're [6:50] married but i i've never really gotten into the celebrity gossip again for the record against that [6:58] yes yeah for the record against that but i've never really gotten into the celebrity gossip [7:03] aspect of it but it is huge megan it's one of those things that exists and i know it's really big you [7:08] know tmz is big what is that what is that magazine my wife used to read us weekly or whatever it is like [7:13] all this celebrity gossip crap who's dating doing stuff it is enormous in this country and i don't know [7:19] that it's i don't know that it's just this country though i think maybe there's some form of human [7:23] nature that we famous people are rich people we want i think we want them to be involved in scandals [7:31] does that make sense do you think there's part of us that wants them to be in scandals yeah it makes [7:35] us feel better about our own lives yeah i agree with that but these are barely famous people i mean [7:40] like he's famous i guess in the he's nfl famous um she's not really that famous i mean i i i shouldn't [7:46] know pine because it's not my world i know nothing about sports and i never watch sports [7:51] and i don't i mean i know the stars who really break out like aaron andrews i know but she's also [7:56] sort of a friend but i know virtually nobody beyond that well this is i guess it's probably [8:01] one area where i actually may know a bit about it i do know enough to know that at least back in [8:06] the day i'm pretty sure it's gone up by now that something like nine of the ten maybe ten of the ten [8:12] most watch things on tv every year they're all nfl games you know we like to imagine that everybody's [8:19] paying attention to politics like like you be everybody watching and listening right now but [8:24] the truth is people are watching nfl football so to be the head nfl coach of a major nfl team [8:31] he is a big deal she may not be but i i haven't watched the nfl in a few years since all that black [8:36] lives matter crap and i know dang well who mike vrabel is i used to watch him play for the patriots back in [8:41] the day i i know he went to ohio state like i i know that guy and i'm a i'm i'm someone who doesn't [8:47] watch anymore so if you're an nfl head coach that i care about my family the organization the coaches the players those have been positive and [10:39] productive we believe in order to be successful on and off the field you have to make good decisions [10:45] that includes me that starts with me we never want our actions to negatively infect affect the team [10:53] we never want to be the cause of a distraction you know and what i these are comments and questions [11:00] that i've answered for the team and with the team we'll keep those private and to ourselves [11:06] and what i can promise you is that the my family this organization the team the staff the coaches [11:13] everybody our fans most importantly uh we'll get the best version of me going forward okay great fine [11:22] most people are like do your thing you're gonna go therapy you're gonna miss one day of the draft [11:26] okay i noticed on jason whitlock's show he was saying so he cares he cares about this enough to miss um [11:34] the third night of the draft like his fourth pick but not to give up on his first second and third [11:39] picks there for that he will attend the draft so he's like i care but i gotta prioritize my team too [11:48] um so then thursday comes along which is yesterday because we're now at friday and page six is not done [11:55] they are not done page six is all over this story like white on rice and they publish because now these [12:01] two are like there's no affair and he's really just kind of copped to i've had difficult conversations [12:05] and i'm going to go work on my stuff he's kind of telegraphing maybe i had an error in judgment but no [12:10] affair yesterday page six publishes pictures of them kissing inside the dimly lit tribeca tavern [12:21] march 11th 2020 six years ago they sat close to each other while conversing at the bar at one point [12:30] appearing to share a kiss they were kissing they were all over each other an eyewitness tells page [12:34] six at the time the photos were snapped vrabel was already married to his wife jenny's been married [12:39] to her for 26 years while rassini said i do to her now husband six months later um the two were quote [12:48] very close to each other throughout the evening according to our insider reports page six who [12:52] witnessed rassini's legs in between vrabel's legs the eyewitness said that they were at this hole [12:57] in the wall bar around midnight they stayed for at least an hour they were having a glorious time [13:02] they were giving each other pecs meaning kisses a bunch of pecs constantly there was nobody in there [13:09] nobody knew who they were i don't even think the bartenders did vrabel was working as head coach of [13:13] the titans at the time she was an nfl reporter again it's dicey because she's reporting on him presumably [13:19] in that role and you're that is a clear ethical no-no for a journalist um then then okay let's see um [13:28] they then they were okay wait let me stop there so then it broke thanks to internet sleuths yesterday [13:36] that if their affair began in 2020 we've got to re-examine everything that happened because she got [13:44] married six months later in 2021 she had a baby boy and she named him mike mike as in that's this guy's [13:58] name mike yes and she put out a tweet hold on where is the tweet in my packet i'm trying to find it [14:07] um i can't find it but her tweet read i think i have it in my head oh here it is august of 2021 [14:16] keep looking at my almost four-day-old son michael while trying to figure out [14:21] who are the best michaels to ever play and coach in the nfl ah jesse oh i'm so uncomfortable that's [14:34] i know it's smoking gun territory and that's i mean that's when i got interested is that is that child [14:40] his who who the f who's having an affair on their husband with somebody named mike and then has a baby [14:46] boy then names him mike you know you could stop the story there but then tweets out i'm sitting here [14:54] staring at him in all his glory wondering who the best mikes were ever to play and coach in the nfl [15:01] which this guy did both as you just pointed out so i have a question megan i guess i should probably [15:08] ask you this i have a question so okay we get these pictures get these pictures from sedona page six and [15:15] all that i have these pictures from six years ago drive back at nightclub okay we have public [15:22] statements the michael thing that you just brought up what i understand that's not at all the first [15:29] thing that she has said publicly affectionate about no like rabel guy so do you think it might be her [15:40] meaning do you think all this might be coming from her because i'll tell you what i do like she [15:47] wants it out there uh-huh yep that's exactly what i'm saying oh just theory i don't know i like [15:52] where you're going but think about it think about it these are brazen what was page six doing at the [15:59] sedona resort what why would page six is going to show up at some dirty hippie hotel in sedona [16:05] just randomly no somebody somebody told somebody tipped him off how do you how do you even come up [16:10] with these six-year-old pictures from some tavern someone kept that on their iphone no one would even do [16:14] that who does that why would you make these public statements i'm assuming if you're going to sleep [16:19] around you want to at least keep it pretty quiet she doesn't seem to be keeping anything quiet this [16:24] is before any of this stuff came out again i don't
