[00:00:40] Speaker 2: in one of the interview rooms i'm a detective constable in the complex investigation team and my colleague i'm also a detective on the complex investigation team [00:00:55] Speaker 1: interviewing yourself today can you give me your name please thank you [00:00:59] Speaker 2: you've got legal representation could you introduce yourself please thank you thank you both for that [00:01:11] Speaker 1: so throughout the interview i'm going to be asking you questions i'm going to be taking notes we're being audio and visually recorded today and we are being remote monitored as well by dsg and dsg who met on the way in yes so in this room um we've got a couple of it's a couple of black cameras um up on the wall and mic for these are the mics um and so it'll be yeah audio and visual recorded throughout if there's any problems that come around let's know it's that you do not have to say anything but it may harm the defense if you do not mention when questioned something which are later on in court and anything you do so may be given an evidence now what that means is i'm going to ask your questions today but you don't have to answer them yes that's your choice but if we end up going to court in regards to this matter and then you say something that you haven't said today they could draw an influence or come to conclusions to say why wasn't it said today your first opportunity because this is your first opportunity to give us an account okay and the last bit is anything you say may be given in evidence i've explained that it's being audio and visually recorded today and that may be played in court being with the recording do you understand i do okay [00:02:39] Speaker 3: uh thank you for your time today as i've repeatedly stated publicly and written about extensively i led a very promiscuous life in the past which i've spent years openly denouting i've never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity on the 16th of september 2023 a defamatory and fictitious documentary was broadcast in conjunction with the publication of two national newspapers containing false anonymized allegations which led to unprecedented media reporting subsequently both the media and the police publicly invited additional allegations to be made which has resulted in further encounters being invented or reimagined at present i do not recall the names of complainants or meeting them however it's entirely possible that i may have encountered them and that we may have engaged in consensual sexual activity or physical contact that has been since reimagined the allegations that you are interviewing me about relate to events that allegedly took place between 24 and 16 years ago after i was provided with a short summary of these allegations in advance of this interview my solicitors wrote on my behalf with questions seeking information clarification that majority of these questions remain unanswered since december the 13th 2002 i've been entirely drink and drug free to the present day in the past my engagement with interested members of the public was friendly consensual and warm there was often physical contact at live shows press events junkets and book signings i did my best to be accessible non-discriminatory and loving i spent a lot of time at these events i've shared kisses with hundreds of members of the public during press events and photos of many such kisses in front of people in front of hundreds of people are available online everything i did in public once i was famous could be photographed or recorded and end up in the tabloids i was aware of this i routinely made provocative jokes or comments with members of public during live performances and broadcasts i did on occasion find reasons for leaving or asking partners in casual sexual encounters to leave shortly after the experience had concluded i had sexual encounters in countless locations and scenarios often with people i've just met the way of life that i've described the magnitude of the promiscuity deceptively rendered in recent media attacks accompanied by advertisements for complainants have caused consensual encounters to be unfavorably reframed decades later as i stated at the outset i've never engaged in any non-consensual sexual activity i understand that you will now ask further questions i do not intend to respond to your questions without sufficient time to consider the information to answer accurately i will therefore listen to your questions but i will not be providing further responses at this time you've indicated to my solicitors that you'll be asking me if i have any final comments at the end of each interview and there will be afforded a break at that stage if i have anything further around i will do so after that
