President Trump delivers remarks on ending taxes on tips

[0:32] We're also talking about the fact that everybody is looking [0:35] at their tax return. [0:37] They're getting tremendous amounts of money back, [0:39] much more than they thought, so. [0:42] But it's great to be back in a place I love, Las Vegas. [0:46] Did a lot of business here. [0:47] We had great success here. [0:49] Before politics, it was fantastic, [0:52] and this is the birthplace of a little idea known as [0:56] no tax on tips. [0:57] This is the birthplace. [1:03] A young waitress came up to me during dinner, [1:05] and she said, sir, we should have no tax on tips. [1:09] I said, what? [1:10] Say it again. [1:11] We should have no tax on tips. [1:14] I said, that's the greatest thing I've ever heard. [1:16] I walked outside to the fake news media. [1:19] I said, ladies and gentlemen, [1:20] there will be no tax on tips. [1:22] That was it. [1:23] It was not an expensive consultant. [1:28] Las Vegas is the home of the largest concentration [1:31] of tipped workers anywhere in the country, [1:33] anywhere in the world, actually. [1:35] And thanks to our tax cuts this week, thousands of Nevada [1:39] waiters, waitresses, casino dealers, bartenders, [1:43] bellmen, barbers, caddies. [1:45] Oh, I love those caddies. [1:46] They're very good, if you have the right caddy. [1:49] And valets received the biggest tax refunds [1:52] of their entire lives, and you see it. [1:54] And I just want to say, you're welcome. [1:56] You're welcome. [2:00] No, it's all over. [2:00] There's so many, even in the fake news, [2:03] where they have the, you know, these different, [2:05] you always want to watch the enemy a little bit. [2:07] You don't want to watch too much. [3:43] Last summer, thanks to our Republican majorities [3:45] in the House and Senate, [3:46] I signed the great big beautiful bill, [3:49] the largest tax cuts, [3:50] and many other things for working families [3:54] in the history of our country. [3:55] It was actually... [3:57] We added about 19 different bills. [3:59] We were going to do one at a time, [4:00] or maybe two or three, [4:02] but I said, let's just do them all at one time. [4:04] And thank goodness we did, [4:05] because the Republicans are out there fighting hard [4:09] for a lot of good things, [4:10] like no men in women's sports, [4:13] like no open borders. [4:16] You know, we have the safest border we've ever had. [4:19] We have the safest communities. [4:21] We have the best records. [4:23] One thing that's always tough to say, [4:24] because it sounds sort of weird, [4:25] but we have the least number of murders [4:28] that we've had in 125 years, [4:31] all the way back to 1900. [4:33] Doesn't sound nice, you know? [4:35] There's no nice way of saying that, [4:36] but it's back to 1900. [4:39] But every single American at every income level, [4:42] there's more money in their pockets this week [4:44] because of the Republican tax policies. [4:47] And we've got to win the midterms. [4:49] If we don't, these policies are going to be taken away from you. [4:51] The taxes are going to go through the roof. [4:53] Look at these... [4:54] Look at the states, these blue states, [4:57] what is going on there with taxes. [4:59] Look at what happened in Virginia. [5:01] A person with a good governor there, [5:03] and somebody got elected, [5:04] that she's gone crazy. [5:06] She's gone totally crazy. [5:08] Look at New York. [5:09] I mean, he's a nice guy. [5:10] Calls me all the time, says hi. [5:14] But his policies are no good. [5:15] He's chasing people out [5:17] and causing a lot of harm to everybody. [5:19] I mean, everybody's taxes are going through the roof. [5:22] After four long years of brutal inflation [5:24] under Biden and congressional Democrats, [5:27] you deserve every single penny that you're getting now [5:30] because you had to suffer. [5:31] You suffered. [5:32] We had the highest inflation in the history [5:34] of our country under Biden. [5:35] Sleepy Joe. [5:37] He's the worst president we've ever had by far. [5:40] Average refund. [5:43] The average refunds this season is over $4,000. [5:46] And here in Las Vegas, [5:47] many workers have reported refunds [5:49] of $5,000, $6,000, $7,000, $8,000 or more, [5:54] and they've never had anything. [5:55] It's all from no tax on tips alone. [5:57] So... [6:03] And then don't forget, [6:04] you have no tax on Social Security for our seniors. [6:09] A lot of seniors out there. [6:12] And you have no tax on overtime. [6:13] You know, this state covers them all. [6:15] You have the seniors. [6:16] You have the overtime. [6:17] But you have no tax on overtime. [6:19] You have no tax on tips. [6:21] And you have no tax... [6:22] Think of it, Social Security. [6:24] So those three things. [6:25] And you know, one other thing that we have [6:26] that nobody talks about, [6:27] but we've done a lot in the bill. [6:30] If you have a small business or if you have a farm, [6:34] you have no inheritance tax. [6:35] You have no death tax. [6:36] It's a big thing. [6:37] You know, people go out and they would borrow money, [6:41] especially the farmers. [6:42] I mean, they go out and they leave their farm, [6:45] and the farm is valuable, but not a lot of cash. [6:48] They live good. [6:48] They wouldn't trade any time. [6:51] And they go out and they get a bill for taxes for the farm. [6:55] The parents leave the farm to the children. [6:57] The children go to the bank. [6:58] They borrow a lot of money. [6:59] They mortgage up the farm, [7:01] and they end up losing the farm. [7:02] They go bankrupt. [7:03] They commit suicide in many... [7:05] It's a horrible thing that went on. [7:07] You have no death taxes now. [7:09] You have no inheritance taxes. [7:12] And seeing his take-home pay skyrocket, [7:19] a bellman at the nearby Paris hotel reportedly said words [7:22] that no one has ever uttered before. [7:25] God bless the IRS. [7:28] Can you believe it? [7:29] I don't think... [7:30] I've never heard... [7:32] I've never heard that before. [7:33] That's... [7:35] That's a... [7:36] We have to patent that. [7:37] We have to do something. [7:38] Earlier this week at the White House, [7:40] I met a wonderful woman named Sharon Simmons, [7:43] a grandmother driving DoorDash [7:45] to help support her husband's cancer treatment. [7:47] She's got serious cancer. [7:49] She's gonna be okay, I think. [7:51] Sharon delivered McDonald's to the Oval Office. [7:54] It was a little bit of a... [7:55] You know, I mean, to be honest, it was a little tacky. [7:59] You know, they come up with these crazy ideas [8:01] like McDonald's, [8:02] although that was the biggest ever on Google, they say. [8:05] Number one ever in the garbage truck. [8:07] I mean, we do these things in politics. [8:10] They're a little embarrassing. [8:13] They're a little tiny embarrassing, [8:14] but we do them, and you win by landslides. [8:17] You know, it's one of the... [8:18] So we gotta keep doing them. [8:19] No, we gotta knock on the Oval Office door. [8:21] This did not happen. [8:22] That's the first baby in the history of the Oval Office. [8:25] And it was a very beautiful woman standing there [8:27] with two big bags of McDonald's hamburgers. [8:31] And I say, is this really believable? [8:33] But the point of it was, [8:35] she made $11,000 [8:38] that she had no idea was coming, [8:41] and it was really great. [8:42] It turned out to be really great. [8:43] So, as part of our tax cuts, [8:47] we also included no tax on overtime. [8:50] And, you know, one of the things, though, [8:52] that I think is so great, [8:54] we have something that's never happened before. [8:57] It was an idea that I thought of. [8:59] I went to Scott. [8:59] I went to some of our people. [9:01] So, when rich people do something, [9:04] they always look for deductions, right? [9:06] It's always deductions. [9:07] They have deductions and everything. [9:09] And middle-class and middle-income people, [9:13] poorer people, they don't think in terms of deductions. [9:16] So, I said, you buy a car that's American-made, [9:19] give a deduction on the interest you pay [9:22] on the loan that you use to buy the car. [9:25] And everyone said, oh, that's good. [9:26] It sounds simple, but it's never been done before, [9:29] and you have that, too. [9:30] So, when you go out and you take a loan on your car, [9:33] you deduct the interest. [9:35] It's a big deal for people. [9:36] Never happened before. [9:38] You would think it was sort of basic. [9:40] I thought it was so brilliant when I thought it. [9:42] But the truth is, it never happened before. [9:45] And nobody mentions it, but it's a very big factor, [9:48] and it's having a huge impact on our car companies, [9:51] which are expanding like never before. [9:54] We're selling more cars now. [9:55] A lot of it has to do with tariffs. [9:57] You pay no tariffs if you come here. [9:59] If you don't come here, you pay a lot of tariffs, [10:01] and we're raising those tariffs very soon. [10:03] Not on you. [10:04] It's on people from the outside [10:06] that don't build their plants here. [10:08] We have now hundreds of billions. [10:10] We have actually $18 trillion being invested [10:14] in the United States because of a lot of reasons, [10:16] but because of tariffs. [10:22] Because of tariffs. [10:23] If they sell their product into our country, [10:26] they have to pay tariffs. [10:26] If they make that same product here, they don't. [10:29] So they're coming in. [10:30] I'll tell you, pharmaceutical companies are coming in [10:33] at levels that nobody's ever seen. [10:35] We're having our drugs made here. [10:36] Our prescription drugs are being made here, [10:39] which is something that's very important. [10:41] So our tax cut for overtime workers [10:43] have already been claimed by more than 26 million Americans. [10:47] And America has finally had the president, [10:51] the kind of president who believes in them. [10:53] I believe in rewarding you for the great work you've done, [10:56] the great job you've done, [10:58] and for having to suffer for four years of embarrassment. [11:02] Our country was an embarrassment. [11:05] Our country, a year ago, our country was an embarrassment. [11:09] And all over the world, they laughed at us. [11:12] And they don't laugh anymore. [11:13] They are not laughing. [11:15] They're not laughing anymore. [11:16] I don't think, I don't think anybody just asked those. [11:20] I don't want to be a wise guy. [11:22] I don't want to speak too soon. [11:24] But we do very well. [11:25] You notice that we're doing very well. [11:27] And I will say the war in Iran is going along swimmingly. [11:32] We can do whatever we want. [11:36] And it should be ending pretty soon. [11:39] It was perfect. [11:41] I mean, it's perfect. [11:42] It was the power we have, our military. [11:44] We have the most powerful military anywhere in the world. [11:47] I built it four years, my first four years. [11:52] And we're still building it. [11:53] We're building it. [11:54] We have the best military. [11:55] We have the best equipment in the world, [11:56] the best rockets and anti-rockets. [12:00] You know, if you look at the way we shoot, [12:02] you know, we had 111 rockets shot at one of our ships. [12:08] I won't name the ship, but it was a beauty. [12:10] And out of the 111 rockets shot, all 111 rockets. [12:15] And these things move at about 3,000 miles an hour. [12:17] You know, it's not like, [12:18] you have plenty of time to think about it. [12:21] Every single one of them, 111 were all shot down. [12:24] Let's think of that. [12:26] Shot down. [12:28] They're laying at the bottom of the sea. [12:31] So needless to say, it was a ship that they were shooting at. [12:34] But we've had it. [12:34] We had 101. [12:36] We had 101. [12:37] And then two days later, we had 111. [12:39] Every one of them was hit. [12:41] That's the equipment that we have is incredible. [12:43] There's never been anything like it. [12:45] So in addition to no tax on Social Security, [12:49] over 51 million seniors now pay. [12:51] Seniors are... [12:53] Seniors are loving me. [12:56] And I love them. [12:57] Of course, of course, I'm not a senior, so I, you know, [13:03] I cater to the seniors, but I don't happen to be a senior myself. [13:06] Thank you very much. [13:08] Over 51 million seniors now pay zero federal tax [13:11] on Social Security income. [13:13] 51 million. [13:17] And they never saw that happening. [13:19] And when I went to him and I said, [13:21] how much would it cost for about 50 to 60 million seniors [13:24] not to pay tax? [13:26] He said, sir, are you kidding? [13:28] This was Scott. [13:29] They said, let's do it, go ahead. [13:31] And you know what's happened? [13:32] The economy is doing so well. [13:33] By the way, we had to do a little journey down to Iran. [13:37] And I didn't want to do that, but we had to [13:40] because we can't let them have a nuclear weapon. [13:42] Can't let them have a nuclear weapon. [13:46] And, you know, we just hit 50,000 on the Dow. [13:50] I don't know if you people know what that means. [13:52] 50,000 on the Dow is unthinkable. [13:55] They said at the end of his fourth year, maybe, [13:57] but more likely fifth or sixth year. [14:00] My fifth or sixth year, that sounds good, too. [14:03] But remember, you know, the hat says four more years? [14:07] It drives the Democrats crazy. [14:10] It drives them four more years, four more years. [14:16] I have to laugh at that one. [14:24] You know, we want to get along, and we're bipartisan, [14:26] but some, after a while, you say these people, they're just, [14:29] you know, they don't want to pay our ICE agents. [15:02] But millions of retirees like those here in Nevada, [15:06] and you know, it's a very important word, Nevada. [15:09] Don't ever say the other way. [15:18] It sounds pretty good the other way, to be honest with you. [15:21] Some people, but Nevada is beautiful. [15:25] And seeing an average deduction over $7,500 this year, [15:30] which is incredible. [15:31] The great, big, beautiful bill is filled with tax cuts. [15:34] Americans are only just beginning to discover. [15:37] So the tax cuts turned out to be larger [15:39] than anybody thought, even us. [15:40] I mean, we didn't think it was going to be as much, [15:42] but people are getting much more. [15:44] And it's come from that. [15:46] And the Democrats don't know what to do [15:48] because they used to ridicule it. [15:49] You know, the great, big, beautiful bill. [15:52] And now they're saying, don't mention the words. [15:54] Just don't mention, don't talk about it, [15:55] because it's been great. [15:57] But we've got to keep it, we have to win the midterms. [16:00] We virtually eliminated the so-called, so many taxes. [16:03] We have like 19 different taxes [16:05] in all different forms that we eliminated. [16:08] And we dramatically expanded a thing called school choice, [16:13] which is a big deal, which is a big deal. [16:17] We made homeschool expenditures, the homeschoolers. [16:20] Do we have any homeschoolers here? [16:22] Right? Very good. [16:23] Congratulations. [16:25] Homeschool expenditures, tax deductible. [16:28] We created the brand new Trump accounts [16:31] with Michael and Susan Dell. [16:34] The Dell family, they're great. [16:37] What a great family. [16:38] But he put up $6 billion, $250 million. [16:42] Namely, he did a good job in life. [16:45] And he's putting up more. [16:46] He came to me with the idea with some of his friends. [16:49] His wife is fantastic, by the way. [16:51] And he said, you know, these accounts where children will grow up, [16:55] and by the time they're 18 or 20 or 21, they could have $100,000. [17:00] I mean, they may be poor, and they'll have $100,000. [17:03] What a big difference. [17:05] So I just want to thank the Dell family. [17:07] It's great. [17:08] You know, buy their computer. [17:13] I said, how did you get so rich by doing computers? [17:16] He said, well, you know, in college, I was good at computers. [17:18] I'd just sit on my bed. [17:19] I'd make computers, and people would buy them. [17:22] And he never stopped. [17:23] He never stopped. [17:24] Sort of an amazing story, if you want to know that, too. [17:26] But we have automatically, we have a $1,000 contribution [17:31] for every newborn child. [17:32] Think of that. [17:33] Five million have already been opened. [17:35] It's been incredible. [17:37] People are going out there doing it. [17:38] Some are buying it for many other children. [17:40] Some are taking lots of, some richer people are taking [17:43] lots of people under their wing. [17:45] We have one man that took the state of Ohio, [17:48] and he's obviously pretty rich, and he's made the contribution [17:51] on behalf of so many children. [17:53] And it's really turned out to be amazing, actually. [17:57] And we made interest on new car loans deductible, [17:59] which I told you, it's a big deal. [18:02] I think it's really something, but only if it's made here. [18:05] And that's only if it's made in America. [18:07] And we're proud to see it being made in America. [18:09] You know, we used to have, when I was growing up, [18:11] it would say, made in everything, made in America. [18:14] It meant it was better. [18:16] And then over the years, it disappeared. [18:17] We brought it back, and we make great products now. [18:20] Today, when you see made in America, [18:24] today, when you see made in America, you know it's, [18:27] generally speaking, I think it's a better product. [18:29] This tax season, over one million Americans [18:32] already deducted their auto loans and their auto interest. [18:35] Think of that. [18:36] And they're saving a write-off. [18:37] They're having a write-off of over $2,000, [18:40] sometimes much more. [18:41] And you get a full write-off. [18:43] It's pretty amazing. [18:43] Together, these brand-new cuts and deductions [18:46] in the Republican bill have been claimed [18:49] by nearly half of all tax filers. [18:52] So, in one form or another, more than 50% [18:55] have taken advantage of the things [18:57] that we put into the bill. [18:58] By the way, we have a lot of other things other than that. [19:00] We have incentives. [19:01] We have the expensing for businesses, [19:05] and the expensing is such a big deal. [19:07] You have a business, you're allowed to deduct it immediately, [19:09] as opposed to over 38 years and other things. [19:12] And, to me, that's one. [19:14] We had the best economy in the history of our country [19:17] in my first term, and we're blowing it out now. [19:20] We're blowing it away now. [19:22] And despite our little diversion, [19:26] despite our little diversion to the lovely country of Iran, [19:30] lovely place, but we had to do that, [19:33] because otherwise bad things could happen, [19:35] really bad things. [19:36] So, we've sent out, and I think you're going to see [19:38] some incredible results, you know, [19:40] for those people that question it. [19:41] You're going to see some, the job we've done has been amazing. [19:46] The ships are out there today, [19:50] and they're saying, don't come here. [19:52] Don't even think about it. [19:54] And you have these massive tankers saying, [19:56] let's get the hell out of here. [19:57] It's amazing. [19:59] It's amazing. [20:00] But we've sent out $30 billion more in refunds [20:03] than at the same time last year, [20:05] and employers who adjusted withholding levels, [20:08] now we'll see an immediate surge in their take-home pay [20:12] for the remainder of 2026. [20:14] You're going to see a big surge. [20:15] The numbers are really tremendous, [20:17] and that's why I'm out here. [20:18] If they were bad, I wouldn't be here today. [20:19] I'd be sitting home watching television, I think. [20:23] We can never forget that every single [20:25] radical-left Democrat in Congress [20:27] voted to deny the American people these life-saving changes. [20:31] They voted for tax increases. [20:33] They wanted your taxes to go up. [20:35] I've never seen it before. [20:36] You know, all my life, I've been sort of always interested [20:38] in politics, never did it before. [20:40] I decided to do it a little while ago, not too long. [20:43] But I've never seen it before. [20:44] It always was, I'd watch politicians for 30 years, 40 years. [20:48] We will lower your taxes. [20:50] We will lower your taxes. [20:51] These are the only people, the Democrats now, [20:53] the modern-day Democrats, we will raise your taxes. [20:57] And I just don't think it's winnable. [20:59] I don't know, maybe I'm a little old-fashioned, I guess. [21:03] But they voted for the largest tax hike in history. [21:06] The Democrats just voted for the largest tax hike in history. [21:12] Democrats in Congress caused this, you know, the inflation, [21:16] the fake news gets on me. [21:18] You know, I have to be very accurate when I speak, [21:19] because they'll say, he's exaggerated. [21:22] So the real number is 48 years, [21:25] that inflation's the highest in 48 years. [21:28] I don't believe that. [21:28] I think it's the highest in history. [21:29] But they say, he said history. [21:32] And they say, but I'm okay with 48 years. [21:34] 48 years is long enough. [21:36] What do you think? [21:37] But the real number, they say, is 48 years. [21:39] I believe it's the highest inflation. [21:41] And they caused it. [21:42] And they then wanted to raise your tax. [21:45] So their tax raise that they wanted was more than $5 trillion, [21:52] which to each person is probably about $4,000 or $5,000. [21:56] And they wanted to raise your taxes. [21:58] The great, big, beautiful bill also slashed taxes [22:00] on millions of American small businesses, [22:03] including restaurants, dry cleaners, corner stores. [22:07] What is a corner store? [22:08] I've never heard that term. [22:09] I know what a corner store is, [22:10] but I've never heard it described, a corner store. [22:13] Who the hell wrote that, please? [22:15] And more. [22:17] As of today, over 12 million small business flyers [22:20] have paid nearly $7,000 less in taxes. [22:24] So on average, your small businesses [22:26] have paid about $7,000 less. [22:29] That's a lot for a small business. [22:30] In large part, thanks to our cuts today, the economy is booming. [22:35] Our economy is booming. [22:36] You know, you don't read about it. [22:38] You don't see it so much because of what's going on in Iran, [22:41] which is really, you know, it's been two months. [22:44] I mean, two months. [22:45] You've been in other wars for 18 years, four years with me. [22:51] I'm in there for a month. [22:53] Well, he said he'd get out a month. [22:56] Did you see where I did a list last week? [22:58] I was 17 years in Vietnam and five years in Afghanistan [23:03] and more, much more than that, and all these different places. [23:08] And I said, we were in there for two months, and you know what? [23:12] We're going to have victory very shortly. [23:14] This is not, and against a very tough, smart country. [23:24] These people were fighters. [23:26] And, you know, I don't want to claim it before the fact, [23:28] but they have no Navy left. [23:32] 158 ships at the bottom of the sea. [23:35] 158, think of it. [23:38] 158. [23:39] I got angry. [23:39] I said, why didn't you save them? [23:41] We could have used them, you know? [23:43] They would rather shoot them than save them. [23:45] I said, what the hell, it's only money. [23:47] But they were, some of them were good. [23:49] They had one named the Soleimani. [23:50] You know what the Soleimani, we took him out. [23:52] He was the worst, one of the worst terrorists [23:55] in the history of this country, this world. [23:57] They killed many of our people. [23:59] Many of our people have been killed. [24:40] In the report released last week, [24:42] core inflation was down to the lowest level in five years. [24:45] And very shortly, we're going to be probably [24:47] eight or nine years. [24:48] Don't forget, we're having some fake inflation because of the fuel, [24:52] the energy prices, which everybody said was going to $250. [24:54] We were talking about that, Scott. [24:56] They said $250, $300. [24:59] I mean, today, what was it? [25:00] It finished at $89 or $90, right? [25:04] And that's in the war. [25:05] You know, we haven't settled yet. [25:06] Maybe we won't. [25:07] But I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised. [25:10] But think of that, how well we're doing, and we have this. [25:13] A lot of people thought that inflation would be through the roof and the stock market would crash. [25:18] Well, we just hit an all-time new stock market. [25:21] So it's amazing. [25:24] I had people. [25:27] We have consultants, great guys that we both know, we see, and they're very talented. [25:31] They said, sir, if you do this, fuel is going to go to $300 a barrel, right? [25:37] One guy in particular who we like a lot. [25:40] But I said, I don't think so. [25:41] I think we're going to be good. [25:43] We always find a way. [25:44] You know, you've got to find a way. [25:45] But sir, don't do it, sir. [25:48] $300 a barrel, it's going to be a wild thing. [25:50] It's going to be horrible. [25:52] The depression is going to happen. [25:53] Well, not going to happen because we just hit a brand new all-time high. [25:57] Fuel's at 89. [25:58] It's actually a lot lower than that in a lot of areas. [26:02] But let's not get away from, you know, let's see what happens over the next week or so. [26:06] You know, I think you're going to be very impressed. [26:08] And if you are, vote for the Republicans in the midterms, okay? [26:18] But the king of Saudi Arabia, a very smart guy, invested $2 trillion. [26:33] We have Qatar, we have UAE, Saudi Arabia. [26:36] The king of Saudi Arabia, they invested trillions of dollars in our country. [26:41] He said to me a year and a half ago, I was with him, he said, you know, two years ago [26:47] you were a dead country. [26:48] Everyone thought America was finished. [26:50] We were a laughing stock with a president that couldn't walk up a flight of stairs. [26:55] He was, no, what he was, he was so horrible. [26:57] I mean, it's not even funny. [26:59] It's like, he was horrible. [27:01] He allowed 25 million people into the country, totally unvetted and unchecked. [27:06] And you know, that's a tough, we're still getting them out. [27:10] And some were, we had 11,888 murderers, 50% of whom murdered more than one people. [27:18] Let into our country. [27:19] They emptied their jails into America. [27:22] But the king said, you know, two years ago, you were a dead country. [27:27] And now you're the hottest country anywhere in the world. [27:29] Look at us. [27:30] So, to talk more about these incredible things that are happening, I'm going to ask, really [27:41] a respected guy, a great guy too. [27:44] He's difficult, this guy. [27:47] He's difficult, but he's great. [27:50] And you know, when he speaks, the whole market gets soothed. [27:53] When I speak, the market goes a little jittery. [29:11] Fast forward July 2025, the working family tax cuts, the one big beautiful bill gets passed [29:18] by Congress. [29:19] And here we are, April 2026, within 24 months, President Trump's idea became the law of the [29:27] land and we are seeing record tax returns. [29:32] And the people of Nevada, the people of Clark County are way higher than the national average [29:37] because of no tax on tips. [29:40] I talk. [29:51] Thank you. [29:52] President Trump's policies are reviving the American dream. [29:56] Yesterday was tax day. [29:57] And under President Trump, we are celebrating how much more money hardworking Americans will [30:02] keep, not how much the government will take. [30:06] Thanks to, thanks to President Trump and congressional Republicans, the working family tax cuts helps [30:14] every American chart their own path. [30:16] Throughout this tax season, I have heard from American workers, families, diner and restaurant [30:22] owners, bartenders, waiters and waitresses, and communities across the country. [30:26] And it is clear that workers and families are feeling the benefits. [30:31] The administration is upholding the foundational principle that hardworking Americans should [30:36] be rewarded with the fruits of their labor, not punished by tax hikes. [30:41] And this tax season proves it. [30:43] In households across America, 53 million filers should take advantage of at least one of the [30:49] President's signature tax cuts. [30:51] No tax in tips, no tax in overtime, enhanced tax relief for our great seniors and the ability [30:57] to deduct interest on new car loans if it's an American car. [31:04] And this is the tax, the refunds and the tax cuts have exceeded our expectations. [31:11] Here in Las Vegas, millions of hardworking Americans have benefited. [31:16] And I want you all to remember, every single Democrat voted against this program. [31:28] So more than 6 million filers have taken the advantage of no tax on tips, 25 million filers, [31:38] no tax in overtime. [31:39] And this is what happens when policies are made for workers and not for DC. [31:46] And also as the head of the IRS, I want to also tell all of you two things. [31:53] Go to trumpaccounts.gov if you have not registered your children for Trump accounts. [31:59] It's very easy to remember, trumpaccounts.gov, and fill out form number 4547. [32:05] For those of you who have children born during President Trump's term, Treasury will seed [32:19] that account with $1,000. [32:21] For those of you who have children under 18, you can add to those accounts. [32:26] Great philanthropists like Michael Susan Dell are adding to that. [32:30] And the other thing, too, is I want to remind everyone, change your withholding. [32:35] If you're getting a big tax return, a big tax refund this year, it's because you didn't [32:39] change your withholding last year. [32:41] If you go, you change your withholding now, you'll get an automatic raise in your real [32:46] income. [32:47] Your weekly, monthly income will go up right here, right now. [32:51] And I just want to thank President Trump for championing this program, because I can tell [32:56] you, some of the more traditional Republicans on economics didn't want this to be part of [33:06] the program. [37:18] And so what this scholarship does is it expands education freedom. [37:22] It gives parents the power to choose the right education for their children. [39:08] Not a lot of people know about that, where the IRS comes in and they say, you're going to make this [39:12] amount of tips in an hour. [39:13] We're going to tax you on that. [39:14] Even if you don't make that amount of tips, you're going to get taxed on it. [39:17] So I thought that would be an incredible opportunity to keep some more cash in my pocket. [39:23] So then she reached out, and I actually spoke at an event for you for No Tax on Tips. [39:29] I spoke with you the day that Robert Kennedy endorsed you for president, which was an amazing [39:33] experience, so thank you for that. [39:36] And so I did campaign for you, and I was like, I want to see this policy come to fruition. [39:43] And so when I heard about the one big beautiful bill and that being included in it, it was [39:49] just a reminder that it's promises made, promises kept for you. [39:53] And so to see that come to fruition was amazing, and I do have seven children, so the earned [40:07] income tax credit for them is going to be helpful as well.
