[0:00] it's now open it looks beautiful and it's going to be with us a long time but we did a total of 83
[0:06] monuments and statues and uh fountains many had graffiti in them for 50 years for the most part
[0:15] i would say doug maybe none of them worked in all of washington and we beautified it we've got rid
[0:21] of the homeless encampments where they took over all your parks and we're in the process of redoing
[0:26] all of the grass brand new grass everything and so it will be graffiti you see that building right
[0:33] over there had graffiti all over it it was a disgrace we got rid of it it's not easy to do
[0:38] you know when you have limestone especially it sort of sinks in a little bit more not good right
[0:44] when you have lag so when you have granite it's a lot easier but but so this is a special structure
[0:50] uh it's going to be uh not only one of the biggest but it'll be the most beautiful ballroom i think
[0:56] anywhere in the world and they've been trying to get it for 150 years and for the media these are
[1:01] the people that built it this is about 525 people and they uh they really worked hard steel workers
[1:08] the steel it's just almost being finished as i understand that this will be the last piece of
[1:13] steel everybody in the room signed in all of the workers not just the steel workers the the plumbers
[1:19] the electricians the painters everybody signed it and i'm going to be the last to sign it and i'm
[1:25] going to have doug sign it jared did you sign it yeah and uh i want to thank you've done a fantastic
[1:32] job well let's get it finished first okay but right now we're ahead of schedule under budget and it's
[1:38] moving very nicely and everything should happen like that you know the federal reserve building is an
[1:44] example is out of control i didn't do it but it's a shame what's going on you know with the waste and the
[1:53] fraud and the stupidity but they're over three billion dollars for a small building three billion
[2:01] and uh but this doesn't have those problems it has none of it what happens at the federal reserve
[2:06] is a disgrace with it and then they tell you about interest rates right they can't build a simple
[2:11] building they renovate they can't renovate a building but they tell you about interest rates
[2:17] and uh and they tell you wrong unfortunately but i want to thank everybody you're special people i grew up
[2:22] with you you know every one of you i grew up with you maybe in a different form maybe genetically maybe
[2:30] it was your fathers or your mothers but i grew up in construction sites and uh a lot of your families
[2:37] are doing this for a long time and you're the best in the business i heard in uh doing the beams you
[2:42] know these beams are among the heaviest beams ever set and beau is telling me we're talking about it
[2:49] if you look at that roof that roof could actually hold helicopters on it as big as the yard whereas
[2:55] normally as you know i say this for the media uh a helicopter if it touched that roof would come right
[3:00] through the ceiling that can you could put as many helicopters as you want on the roof that's a
[3:06] very powerful ceiling it's drone proof it's missile proof it's bulletproof the side walls the glass is
[3:13] bulletproof and drone proof there's no drone can pierce it there's no bullet can pierce it no matter how
[3:20] big the glass when you see it you'll see it coming it's starting to come now it's just thick and yet
[3:26] it's perfect vision now it's hard to believe you can do that so it's heavy bulletproof glass it's also
[3:32] drone proof and small missile if you can believe it small missile and what happens is you can take a look
[3:39] at it put it in front of your face and you can see through it just like i'm seeing you right now it's
[3:43] pretty amazing amazing stuff the technology they have today so you have uh ceilings uh drone proof
[3:51] missile proof bulletproof before the floor is very thick and all from underneath is totally uh designed in
[4:00] such a way it's the safest this is the safest place in washington when when we're having a dinner this
[4:06] will be the safest place so you can have world leaders you can have your president sitting here
[4:10] they've been wanting a much bigger space a much better space than they've had for 150 years
[4:16] presidents you've heard me say it what they never intended was getting something like this this is
[4:21] going to be very safe you can just sit here and let let people do whatever they want here nothing's
[4:28] going to happen this is the most most powerful building structurally the most powerful building they
[4:33] say ever built and it was designed that way so the president can have safety he's having the president of
[4:40] china russia or any place else when they're having dinner when they have 2 000 guests 2500 guests they're
[4:49] totally safe it's impervious so i just uh want to tell you that what you've done is amazing what you
[4:57] what you're building you're almost we're going to be finished pretty soon but the hard part is done and
[5:02] the one thing that i'm most fascinated with is what they've done underneath because what you know this
[5:08] goes down five stories it's five stories underneath and the military came to me and they said sir we've
[5:15] never had this opportunity at the white house because it's fragile and going underneath the building
[5:21] would it be possible we did we did everything they wanted and it's uh something this they said that's been
[5:27] their dream for 50 years it's been the dream of presidents have a ballroom for 150 years so
[5:34] we have everything on top and you'll start to see it we're building a it's a drone port it holds as
[5:40] many drones as you want can hold over 100 drones at the maximum size to the weight weight is no problem
[5:48] and you see that when you see the power of the structure when you look at steel normally that would
[5:52] just be light steel you see it a lot when they build a plant where it's very light steel you can barely
[5:57] walk on it it's dangerous it's just it's called a rain roof this is a roof that's a structural roof and
[6:04] rarely done because the span is so long that it's very hard to do structurally we ordered the marble
[6:11] for the floor the marble is a really magnificent marble it's a cut it's a vein that people have been
[6:18] after for 50 years and the owner of the quarry didn't want to sell it but he liked me and he also
[6:29] was so honored to be doing it for the country for the white house and the marble floor you'll see it is
[6:37] the most beautiful marble you'll ever see it's a special vein this is a vein that everybody wanted
[6:42] for a long time and i got it and i got it for the floor of the ballroom at the white house and it's
[6:50] going to be beautiful the walls are going to be very you'll see a lot of glass a lot of you'll be
[6:54] looking at the treasury building which is right there you'll be looking at the front of the white
[7:00] house and you see if you look back there you're looking at the other side of the white house you
[7:05] have north and south and the kitchen is underneath because i put the kitchen on top and we have large
[7:13] staircases coming from the kitchen if i put the kitchen on top you would lose three walls because the
[7:20] kitchen takes about 30 of the space so the kitchen is all the space that you have right underneath and
[7:27] it's going to be top of the line so there has never been anything built like this and it's for
[7:32] the country and it's free you got it free of charge thank you very much and uh some great patriots have
[7:40] devoted a lot of money given a lot of money to get it built and so we didn't use taxpayers money to
[7:45] build this ballroom and it's going to be uh when it's completed it'll be the best anywhere in the world
[7:53] you know when i was in china we went to the great hall it's called the great hall of china and it's
[7:59] a you know it's incredible but this is actually larger this is larger and it will be it'll be the
[8:04] most magnificent when you see what we're doing between the marbles and the bronzes and all the
[8:10] different things that we're doing top of the line great architects our top architects and uh we have
[8:16] another man that's worked with me for a long time together we were the ones that not only cleaned up
[8:23] washington in terms of graffiti and and open up uh you know the statues and the fountains and fixed
[8:31] everything up made it beautiful and everybody's talking about it but a man that uh helped us a lot
[8:37] with crime because crime is almost non-existent now in washington we went from one of the most unsafe
[8:44] cities in the country to one of the safest cities in the country and people all day long and white house
[8:52] i walk in the people that work there thank you thank you sir thank you thank you so we have a white
[8:59] house where people can walk to work when i first came in two years ago my first term was it was different
[9:04] it wasn't you didn't have the kind of crime it developed during the biden administration it may
[9:09] have had to do with covet nobody knows exactly but it was a killing field washington dc and we worked
[9:16] together with experts and we brought in the national guard which who were fantastic and we worked with
[9:22] washington police and we have now one of the safest cities anywhere anywhere in the world but anywhere
[9:28] certainly in the country and again this was a place where a young man would leave iowa come to see the
[9:37] lincoln memorial the washington monument jefferson come to see whatever come to see the white house
[9:43] and they call up the parents i'm sorry but your son has been killed and they send the son home in a
[9:52] casket or the daughter in a casket three a week we're losing three people a week three murders a week
[10:00] by savages and we moved them out we moved over 5 000 people out of washington dc they came in through
[10:07] the open borders and they came in viciously and violently and we had a lot of problems with democrats
[10:14] because they wanted to protect killers i mean i i don't understand it but who does who does makes no
[10:20] sense but we got them out of here we moved them back some were so violent some killed many people
[10:26] that we didn't want to send them even back to their country we hate to take the cost of having them in
[10:30] jail for the next 50 years but we didn't want to take a chance that they'd be able to come back and
[10:38] you know speaking about being able to come back for the last 17 months zero illegal migrants have been
[10:46] allowed into our country zero which is something that nobody thought was possible so we're very
[10:52] happy about that we're very happy about washington dc people are coming to washington uh all the
[10:58] restaurants were closing because of crime and now all the restaurants you can't if you're a restaurateur
[11:03] you can't get a space you can't get a space and people are dining and they're having a good time and
[11:09] they have a safe it's the capital it's the capital of our country we have to make it beautiful
[11:14] and we have to make it safe and this will be down this building when it's completed will be one of
[11:19] the great one of the great buildings in washington dc and they'll understand that most people understand
[11:24] it just this whole magnificent space will be a very important space in the future life of our country
[11:32] so with that i'd like to have the secretary of the interior a great man a great success a fantastic
[11:40] governor for eight years in north dakota a very successful businessman and he's done a really
[11:47] great job running the interior and thank you very much doug bergam everybody thank you very much
[11:58] thank you mr president uh today of course is a day of celebration and it's a day of gratitude it's a day
[12:03] of celebration because there's uh our builder in chief uh the greatest builder that has ever been
[12:09] president united states knows he like he said he grew up on construction sites when you get to
[12:13] this spot the tradition is the workers have all signed the beam the president's gonna sign the
[12:18] mean this is the last beam that's going into place that's going to be raised up and that's
[12:21] we're here to celebrate but none of that would have happened without the great american worker america was
[12:27] built by people that innovate built by people that build great things and build great things well
[12:32] and build them quickly there's 512 of them here wearing their jackets out there let's hear it for all
[12:37] the great american workers that are here today thank you thank you so much think of it just over a year
[12:43] ago this project was just getting started and here we are today at a bean signing uh and of course that
[12:49] wouldn't have happened without president trump the vision that he had for this city for safe and
[12:54] beautiful also extends right here to this site the white house the national park service which is part
[13:01] of the department of interior is responsible for the restoration at the white house president trump
[13:06] done more to restore the beautiful historic white house than any president so when the teams are over
[13:12] there and some of you have worked over there you're restoring history when you're working here
[13:17] you're making history this is going to be a gift for the next 100 200 250 years this building will stand
[13:23] the test of time historic events will happen here and they will look back to this day knowing that all
[13:28] of you were part of it and it wouldn't have happened without president donald j trump thank you thank you
[13:39] thank you and uh jared we just come up and say a couple of words and they've done such a fantastic
[13:46] job of building they've been our primary contractor please thank you sir it's a real honor to be able
[13:57] to work on this campus every day be able to work under the leadership of the president just want to
[14:01] thank everybody that's been involved in the project it's really a spectacular effort over the last year
[14:05] to get us to this point i want to celebrate by raising the final beam thank you sir great great job and before
[14:16] you do that you know we sort of mentioned a little bit during the campaign that about why does trump
[14:22] spend time on the white house well first of all it's very little time second of all i like it it's
[14:28] good for me it's relaxing for somebody else it's the opposite but for me it's real i love construction
[14:34] but that beautiful white facade was half falling off and you know that because some of you helped us with
[14:40] it it was in terrible shape the moldings were down in many cases probably 20 of the moldings were off the
[14:46] building you'd have windows with a beautiful window and a molding on one side and the molding was
[14:52] missing for many years on another and it bothered me very much because that's what i do i like beautiful
[14:59] things and especially when it comes to the white house and we had a group of very talented people work
[15:04] with me for the last year and we've totally redone the facade of the white house and the finest
[15:11] uh exterior plaster the place was falling apart it was cracked it was broken the windows were broken
[15:19] and cracked we replaced numerous windows that were cracked in some cases were outright broken and you'd
[15:24] look at it as a guest and when president she was here two weeks ago he said wow the condition is so
[15:30] beautiful he said i remember it wasn't that way a long time ago but i will tell you that right now it's
[15:38] flawless and it's beautiful and you know when i get criticized like why are you working on the white
[15:44] house i'm doing it because the white house is the ultimate symbol of america and it's got to be
[15:52] pristine it's got to be perfect and if you take a look at it that's what it is right now you have no
[15:57] idea how much work we had to do would take fiberglass molds of the other side of the of the molding that was
[16:05] broken because they're very intricate and they take it back to shops and they'd remake moldings and they
[16:10] put it up the way it used to be i mean you'd have windows with one third of a molding left
[16:16] and it looked like hell to anybody that knows i think to people that don't know it wouldn't have
[16:20] looked good so we did that i'm just looking here and i'm looking at that beautiful facade how it's gleaming
[16:26] and then we re-caulked it repainted it and it's uh it's good for another 200 years now you know it opened in
[16:34] 1792 and it was it was in terrible embarrassing shape including the entrances you'd walk in
[16:41] there were broken stones there were stones with big holes in them it was terrible so that's why i did
[16:47] it because that's the ultimate symbol symbol of our country and this is now a part of that symbol this
[16:53] will be something very special and so we're putting up the last piece of steel and i thought it would be
[17:00] appropriate to have the media here you're going to see something really great thank you all i want to
[17:05] thank you all great job you've done and we'll see you again at the official opening which won't be in
[17:11] too long a period of time you're all invited thank you very much everybody sorry for the rough feedback
[17:28] there with president trump making his first speech after this brutal midterm election cycle for
[17:34] republicans looks like he's going to be signing something on the wall there this is related to the
[17:38] ballroom so i mean i'm getting some texts from some republicans saying this was a uh interesting
[17:43] move for president trump to do after a very historic loss in the midterm elections yesterday let's hang
[17:49] with this it looks like there's reporters trying to ask him some questions so let's just see if
[17:53] president trump takes any uh here in the next couple of minutes we're gonna lift this and then we'll do it
[18:46] okay i got to be back something like that you guys need to go back you're looking at being you gotta
[19:18] ideally it won't fall on you if it does we'll call your family
[19:29] we're going to go down this way this is safety reasons we're going to go down the aisle
[20:14] all right we're hanging with this for just a little bit it looks like president trump at least
[20:16] he said he was going to take questions so let's hang with this for for a while and see when he talks
[20:22] on top of that room any but it'll be all drones why don't we ask uh you want a couple of questions
[20:57] while they're rigging it how about having that in the background
[20:59] uh we'll stay out of it i mean they're gonna be you know jim jim was i think he was really uh all of
[21:19] them everybody everybody that we're we're dealing with but uh the speaker was fantastic the uh the
[21:28] people under him were fantastic all good people i guess right now you have two candidates right
[21:35] no no no mr president vice president vance says the reason republicans lost the war lost last night
[21:43] was the war in iran well i think it's uh largely true because it drove the gasoline up a little bit
[21:49] short term and probably that's uh probably it's true but at the same time if i had it to do again
[21:55] i'd have to do it again because long term uh it's the only answer you can't let iran have a nuclear
[22:00] way you feel like it was worth it i do yeah i mean well you have no choice i mean i thought the oil
[22:05] would go up a lot more and i did it on that basis you have no choice you have to do it you can't let
[22:09] iran have a nuclear weapon or everything that you see here someday might not exist and uh maybe this but
[22:18] this building might be the only one that does so yeah i i think that uh look i mean i'll get along
[22:24] probably with the democrats unless they want to be destructive but they have the power of the veto
[22:29] so if we don't like what they're doing or they'll they've already called they want to talk about
[22:33] things and that's fine but yeah people the iran thing we had to do and we continue to do it
[22:41] we have tremendous oil flowing out of the almost right now at the beginning there was done
[22:46] and uh probably that's the primary reason the the price not the war the price
[22:51] the price of the price of the price of the price of the price of the price of the price of the
[23:01] campaign no look i mean if i were on the ballot we would have won you saw the people that were packed
[23:06] thousands and thousands of people at every rally and if i was on the ballot we would have won
[23:11] but they just you couldn't transfer that love there was such love at those rallies it was incredible
[23:16] one uh we weren't able to transfer the love to candidates did you think they didn't need to try
[23:21] to talk about that speech on monday which one are we talking about the reflecting board did any
[23:29] advise you to do something i heard it was a very good speech got great reviews that was only a speech
[23:34] on the reflecting board that had nothing to do with anything else that was a speech very much like
[23:39] this is today on this incredible place that we're building at the white house it's going to be here for
[23:45] many many years and serving our country well that that was only a sort of a ribbon cutting because
[23:50] the reflecting pool hasn't worked since 1922. it's uh you know over 100 years it's never worked so
[23:57] it's leaked and was always a mess and we fixed it we made it great that that was not a speech that was
[24:03] just talking about the reflecting pool and then a couple of other comments i mean our speeches were
[24:10] really the speeches made at the 30 rallies and those speeches were that was tremendous love it was
[24:16] it was pretty amazing i can't tell you that they may tell you but i can't tell you
[24:26] no no no are you concerned about it not even a little bit i think it would destroy i think it would
[24:33] destroy the democrat party if they did that because impeachment for no reason what for having a successful
[24:39] country our country is more successful now than at any time in its history watch the beam go up
[24:44] you gotta slide back those i'm sorry back back back back back all the way back it's bigger than you
[25:04] thought right chandeliers
[25:11] okay okay i'll stay here sure
[25:14] sure all right good to go now envision chandeliers all over you see envision marble floor oh it's
[25:37] going to be this will be the most beautiful bone yeah probably july right right around gonna be great
[25:59] middle to end of next year but depending on surfaces watch this okay you know it's not steel that's used on
[26:26] a roof to hold back rain it's to hold helicopters did you guys see the helipad from uh up top how
[26:41] beautiful that is it's incredible it's incredible this is going to be more incredible so i thought
[27:18] the pressure would be here this was a non-press event i said this is the greatest right you see the helipad
[27:38] yes well piece of art very talented people to get there very talented
[28:26] steel up in three weeks can you believe it the whole thing was done in two and a half weeks pretty
[29:05] amazing how are you good good job and that'll fit perfectly within a hundredth of an inch can you
[29:29] do you believe it seriously yeah they rarely ever they rarely have to do any chopping watch pretty
[29:42] amazing the entire building every single hole was perfect which is rare but we had great people
[29:49] the federal reserve and the others what a shame those guys are standing under
[30:17] you know personally i'd pass on because if one bolt if one bolt fell down that's it your history pretty
[30:29] amazing would you like to move over there then right under that look that's right under
[30:37] we'll send margo let's send margo no if anything fell off there but they do it except the secret
[30:46] service guy's not very well protected i don't think he has any idea what's going on about see the way
[30:53] that fits just like a glove see the this rug that they put right through it look at it fits perfectly
[31:06] now they bolted in and that's the end of that pretty good right yep that's pretty good go ahead
[31:11] did you have any other questions did you know the vice president was going to post that
[31:15] uh x message talking so much about the results of the war and how it impacted it well i don't knew
[31:23] i knew the war was going to impact it but whether it impacted or not iran can't have a nuclear weapon
[31:28] no but the vice president wrote a very lengthy post about how the war impacted the results last night
[31:36] did you know he was i know how he feels about it i think it was i think it was fine yeah i thought it
[31:42] was good uh we knew that i know that i knew that when i went in and we stopped them from having a
[31:49] nuclear weapon and they will never have a nuclear weapon have you spoken to vice president yeah
[31:56] speaking about a lot of things but uh i mean we'll see what happens everybody uh i mean you don't know
[32:04] who's talking about running you can have people running you're gonna have a lot of people maybe a
[32:09] lot of people running maybe nobody's gonna run maybe he won't run i don't know who's gonna run
[32:14] but i can tell you that as far as that war is concerned i would have done nothing different
[32:18] we've totally broken their military their navy's gone their air force is gone their anti-aircraft is gone
[32:48] well it's just there they it's a thing that they do and here's the interesting thing somebody will
[32:54] walk after we're gone they'll walk right across that pick up the tree and walk there aren't too many
[32:59] people can do that you need very good balance now do you know that they'll leave that tree
[33:05] well we're gone a guy will walk right on that and take it well what did end no i didn't say that i said
[33:16] their nuclear weapons will be destroyed that happened with midnight hammer pretty uh dangerous
[33:48] and you know what they fall sometimes and when they fall it's terrible
[33:55] whenever i wanted to but it's got to be done right and we're never going to let them have
[33:59] a nuclear weapon it's got to be done right but of course i knew that i knew fuel would go up
[34:05] i thought it would go up two or three times higher than it is and now today it's coming
[34:11] down and yesterday it dropped or the day before it dropped 10 points uh no we uh we've done a great
[34:17] job the homo strait is open it's uh producing wall street journal cover the wall street journal a
[34:22] couple of days ago it's producing more oil right now than at any time prior to the war so
[34:28] no i think he's doing a very good job well i think he i think he's doing a very good job and i
[34:40] i actually think he'd be very popular if he did that but i haven't heard that at all
[34:49] no no look when i said fast we stopped them from having a nuclear weapon very early on
[34:56] when we did the raid great stuff right you ever see if you want to see the helipad bring the
[35:11] cameras over here let me show you we're just let look at it it's a work of art go up there watch
[35:25] your head watch your heads watch it the helipad is so beautiful people watch your feet is good to go
[35:32] through there's three bars through here so go to the far side watch your stuff should i walk out the other
[35:36] way i probably should walk through the man please walk through the man jaron i think uh i'll go this
[35:48] great job all right we'll see if they move this into position to uh take some more questions here
[36:34] with president trump giving a uh kind of impromptu uh presentation there talking about the white house
[36:40] ballroom and then taking the cameras back there to the helipad too don't know where president oh there
[36:45] we got a shot of president trump here right now uh looks like he's now talking to the workers there
[36:49] who are helping out with uh this this beam raising here that had a number of different signatures on it
[36:55] from different uh cabinet level officials and so president trump now taking the time to speak with
[37:00] them you saw the raising there and of course he was taking a number of questions about the midterm
[37:04] elections um he said he's going to be staying out of the race for minority leader if you remember uh there
[37:11] is a now open race for minority leader for the house gop after that really rough loss that resulted
[37:17] them losing control of the house yesterday it looks like it's going to be between uh as of right now
[37:22] jim jordan and steve scalese let's lift the audio back up looks like president trump's taking some more
[37:26] questions looks like he's probably going to be exiting the frame here we'll hang with this just for a
[37:54] couple more seconds we definitely want to hear if president trump takes any more questions it looks like
[37:59] uh camera's just not in a good position right now so we'll give them some time to get adjusted let's
[38:05] see if keegan will help them uh get into that spot just one of the press wranglers and press aids there
[38:11] let's go and see okay he still looks like he's talking with some folks there uh who are at the white
[38:17] house for this ballroom presentation which we did not have on the schedule uh but now it looks like
[38:23] this was kind of just came out of nowhere we got a pool call about this and then president trump now
[38:28] showing everybody uh let's get this one shot out of the way at least in the time being because
[38:33] looks like it's kind of stuck there so now it looks like the camera's being moved around probably
[38:40] get a better shot of president trump not sure if he's going to take any more questions here but
[38:44] we'll kind of hang with this to see if that ultimately does happen looks like the pool is kind
[38:48] of held up in one little spot but they are letting this camera here uh move around a little bit there at
[38:54] the white house but kind of do a quick recap here of what president trump was talking about
[38:59] uh he was asked about the race for minority leader that's now open with speaker johnson
[39:05] saying that he is not going to be running for house minority leader in the next congress he is going
[39:10] to stay in congress he got re-elected last night but is not going to be keeping his spot in a
[39:16] leadership position president trump said he's going to be staying out of that race which is as of right
[39:20] now between jim jordan and steve scalese uh there was this talk he mentioned about this criticism
[39:27] from vice president jd vance about why republicans lost control of congress last night we actually
[39:33] do have this here and we'll go ahead and read the statement from vice president fans saying this
[39:38] the reason we lost is the war the president himself said so last night if you'd like to argue
[39:43] it was worth it that losing the senate for the next six years was worth it then do so argue it was a
[39:50] worthwhile cost to pay agree or disagree that's at least honest but everyone knows why we lost and
[39:58] any honest conversation about where we go from here must start there all right we still have some
[40:04] shots here of the white house and and president trump right now so let's go ahead and see if we can
[40:08] get any more questions in with the president stay tuned i wasn't sending you a signal all right
[40:48] this is going to be the moment of truth president trump's either going to take some questions here or
[41:56] he is going to simply just walk out and not say anything more let's listen in thank you
[42:04] can we slide over
[42:12] now one other question president trump was asked during that brief gag we did earlier about
[42:17] potential impeachment from the democrats uh saying that would destroy the democrat party if they
[42:23] pursued that he's also about the possibility of pete hagseth the defense secretary taking over
[42:28] marsha blackburn's senate seat um he did say that hegseth would be very popular with that choice but
[42:34] he didn't you know kind of hone in on any criticism of the defense secretary because you got to keep
[42:38] in mind he was somebody who many there was some reporting out there that he could potentially be the
[42:43] fall guy if republicans ended up losing control of congress doesn't seem like president trump is
[42:48] jumping on that bandwagon publicly just yet uh but maybe a name to watch for as a potential
[42:53] replacement for marsha blackburn in the senate if in fact president trump decides to go in that
[42:58] direction so uh let's go ahead and listen back in for a brief moment push me back push back
[43:58] all right so president trump signing autographs to some of the workers they're helping to construct
[44:02] this white house ballroom but again let's let's show this one more time this statement from vice
[44:06] president vance as we're waiting to see if president trump takes more questions saying the reason we lost
[44:11] is the war the president himself said so last night if you'd like to argue it was worth it that losing
[44:17] the senate for the next six months was worth it then do so argue it was a worthwhile cost to pay agree
[44:22] or disagree that's at least honest but everyone knows why we lost and any honest conversation about
[44:29] where we go from here must start there now let's keep in mind vice president vance's home state was
[44:37] so probably one of the more rough areas last night for republicans as uh vivek ramaswamy lost his race
[44:45] for governor pretty handily to amy acton and then you also saw the senate seat there flip with john
[44:51] husted falling to sherrod brown so sherrod brown's in that unique position where he's going to be
[44:57] serving as ohio's next senator alongside another senator who actually defeated him last election cycle
[45:04] and bernie marino so that should be an interesting dynamic to see those two working together uh let's
[45:08] go ahead and uh kind of move back in here we're still looking at president trump he's getting closer
[45:13] to those cameras it looks like he's kind of at the tail end of this uh event and of course we're trying
[45:17] to see if he takes any more questions related to last night's uh blue tsunami in the midterms where
[45:23] president trump is not going to have control of the house or the senate for his last two years as
[45:28] president of the united states so where do we go from here let's go ahead uh we'll keep the audio
[45:34] down for a little bit just because we don't really have uh any access to him talking but uh the
[45:39] mike friends are there so as soon as he gets done signing these last couple autographs we should be
[45:43] able to hear uh from president trump we're also gonna have jr cannelly joining us in just a little bit
[45:48] he's a republican pollster really had a pulse on the campaign trail let's see if he takes any more
[45:53] questions it looks like we're not going to be hearing from the president again if we do get
[46:28] a question and answer with him we'll be able to bring that to you we have the record button
[46:32] on this so we'll we'll head out to that in just a little bit
