[00:00:00] Matthew: all right good morning everybody this is matthew from nerd news today we are here live at the mattel booth toy fair 2020 this is their press event we're going to walk on in and take a look at stuff so thank you all for joining us this morning it's early it's a bit of a big big stream to look at today we're going to basically breeze through everything that is in the mattel booth real quick at least most of everything i don't know if we're going to look at every single thing because as you can see here there's like fisher price stuff we don't really cover fisher price so uh we'll probably skip that but uh our first stop is going to be pretty sure we always have to go first that is the wrestling figures so a lot of the stuff has already been revealed earlier today or earlier actually in the week but yeah we're starting with my favorites that's the wrestling figures folks so this is the wwe display for toy fair 2020 there's a lot of new stuff to look at here we may do some extended coverage after we'll see about that but for now to start over here so mattel now has a series of minifigures called beast mode these are two-in-one minifigures you can see here they come with basically a figure of a wrestler and then sort of a shell of some kind of a spirit animal maybe i don't really know what we're going to call this but let's call them inner beasts that's uh that's what the packaging says so we'll go with inner beasts so we've got aj styles daniel bryan finn valor up here we've got a roman reigns see if we get that to focus stone-cold steve austin the rattlesnake triple h course he is the king of kings braun stromans hanging out up here that's a pretty cool looking one we got a becky lynch and the rock so the way these work is they are blind packs and in each package you're going to get both the minifigure and the inner beast hey men cave thanks for being here with us this morning or whatever time it is where you are in germany right now and yeah we're live folks if you have any questions or you want to talk or chat just go ahead and say the word we are here to talk answer your questions so next to that we have the two reveals of the next ultimate edition figures as well as uh back there we got brock who already i believe he's actually just came out recently but uh let's talk about these new guys here first so here is our john cena ultimate edition and i believe this is from like i want to say it's like 05 or 06 era john cena roughly uh comics and gore i haven't looked at masters universe yet if it's here so uh i don't quite know yet so let's take a look at this john cena up close really great looking detail on this john cena figure hey vents or vanessa i'm sorry i don't know how to pronounce your name but uh we are going to probably peek by the barbies i think let's take a little better look at some of the other stuff here so this cena comes with his spinner championship belt elijah we actually already did power rangers uh last night so if you take a look at our archives you'll see the power ranger video that we did and uh ben 10 that's at playmates we uh may go to playmates later we'll see if we can so this scene is going to come with two heads four additional hands aside from the two he already has on him the soft goods hustle loyalty respect shirt the wristbands the hat chain the dog tag uh really great looking john cena but what i'm most excited for though is this becky lynch right here so we're getting a wrestlemania becky lynch two belt becky she has bolts championships she also has two heads and uh she's got additional set of arms you can see she's wearing the jacket right now and the jacket will be removable the arms can pop out you can swap them out so she can wrestle she can do her full entrance it's very cool i know there's been a lot of talk about the head sculpts here so bill mckina has been talking about them because i know some people have been online kind of disparaging them i think they look very good in person you could see for yourself right now i think they look good but keep in mind i mean besides the hairline being a little crazy these are hand-painted these are protos these are basically probably hand-painted hard copies which means that they are not production figures these are not what they're going to have sold in stores this is still basically development but i'd say at this phase she looks very very good and back here is the brock but he is available i believe already we might get him some points to do a review carlos we haven't looked to see there's any masters universe just yet we're going to head over there and look around a little bit i think so decade of dominance is a new line that is coming up i believe this is going to be a target exclusive anybody who knows for sure can correct me we've got essentially a debut style undertaker got a debut randy orton nation of domination mark henry natalia is getting a real throwback of a figure here and another john cena so these are going to be elites the decade of dominance collection a lot of guys we've seen before but in looks we haven't seen in quite some time so that's very nice now really the big big news though is the return of the wwe legends line and uh you can see even the packaging is basically the packaging of old see if i can come around here and get a better shot not knock over everything on display uh so we've got greg the hammer valentine we've got bobby heenan in the weasel suit sorry folks i'm gonna try and get a better shot bear with me while i move everything around all right no can't quite do that all right folks as close as i can get unfortunately we got a new razer ramon new sting greg the hammer valentine as i mentioned and bobby heenan in the weasel suit so it's like an early uh maybe 96 no uh 97 sting basically your first debut the crow might be a little bit later uh really awesome looking blue scott hall let me try this way folks all right there we go that's about as close i can get without knocking things over in the booth these are really nice looking figures greg valentine has the shin pad as you can see this is using the true effects sculpts also so it's basically a new scott hall and new sting faces all very very cool so for folks asking about the masters of the universe study mashups there's gonna be none over here uh there are plenty more on the way there's just none on display like we do know what the next few waves are going to be we've seen all that before so this is the slambulance also coming out soon we actually just reviewed the reckon mobile recently we loved it and this slambulance is basically the reason why i got that that vehicle so i wanted to make sure i was buying it supporting it to get more vehicles like this cannot wait to get the slambulance this thing is a beast you can see it's got a lot of breakaway pieces very very awesome and up here we have a bunch of new basic figures lots of new basics some fan favorites and new attires like you can see in aj style new brawn new fins we've got a basic carmella and two of her so i guess she's going to be getting the variant in that wave alistair black right above that we've got two nakamura's so we're going to get nakamura variants ec3 is getting a figure basics look good they have some of the best head sculpts i think even better than the elites oftentimes new johnny gargano triple h h bianca belair getting uh i believe this is her first figure r-truth is up here and a new version of the rock so very awesome we've also got a battle pack with the hardy boys and i'm going to try to get a shot of ricochet and the velveteen dream so bear with you folks while i move this stuff around it's a little hard to get close because it's a tight display but there's velveteen dream and ricochet that's going to be a really really hot set you can see back there we've got that switch places thank you got a few other elites back here so really the big thing though is this fiend so there's still no actual figure of him that's been shown i bet san diego they're gonna actually finally show the physical figure but we now at least know what he's going to come with there's accessories and there's our elite hurricane behind him christian is going to be getting a variant as part of his elite wave he's coming with his brood gear got a chicago cubs-esque seth rollins i believe it's the cubs right you guys can correct me i don't follow the sports ball pete dunn i'm still getting that pete dunn back there there's lacey evans [00:08:26] Speaker 2: also i know like the dimension lacy yeah so really great display so that's going to be our look over [00:08:37] Matthew: here at uh the ww elite figures kind of talk us through what we got here today yeah yeah okay cool uh let me mic you up real quick so we have uh we have a booth up here uh kelly right yeah okay hey kelly uh you're [00:09:22] Speaker 3: live on nerd news today so say hi to everybody out there oh hey everybody how's it going welcome to mega constructs so brand new for 2020 is we have our halo line coming out with lots of new stuff of course there's the new game later this year coming out something we do so well with mega constructs is we've integrated all kinds of articulation within the figures so we really bring the the figures in the game to life as you can see in our warthog we have real working suspension in the tires so just lots of innovation throughout the line our pelican ship here is 2 000 pieces and it can actually open up in half to have a command center inside for more playability that is a lot of pieces who had to build that thing did people actually bring this thing here [00:10:06] Matthew: already assembled or someone had to build this here oh no somebody builds it somebody builds this whole diorama and we love the dioramas that's one of our things i think we always see one about toy fair everybody always says like we want to buy the diorama and unfortunately you can't but they are amazing as always so uh kelly this bear kid i'm looking at right back here i don't know if you mentioned is that also a set or is that something that's built for the show so something brand new for this year [00:10:29] Speaker 3: coming out is things are going to be two and one builds so if you get the pelican set you could also build the command base that we have back there so it's a two and one offering more more playability [00:10:39] Matthew: right out of the box all right cool so to paraphrase basically what you're seeing here is if you get this ship here you're going to be also able to use those same pieces to build this really cool barricade is that correct yep yep that's exactly right very very cool i hope you mega construct fans are happy because we got a lot of halo stuff and uh let's get a wide shot of this wonderful display here and so right next to that also we have a few other licensed properties here kelly do you mind walking us through those real quick yeah absolutely thank you so much i know we just jumped on you with this camera like hey talk to me now but thank you so uh we got game of thrones here let's show you guys this real wide and quick nicely game of thrones uh has been i think one of the more favorite of my versions of the mega constructs i've seen so yeah can you tell us about what you've got shown on display this year [00:11:21] Speaker 3: yeah absolutely so we have some new items we of course have viserian 550 pieces real fabric for the wings so that way it brings them to life two foot wingspan at full extension and again just lots of articulation from head to tail so you can recreate your favorite moments or create new poses to hang from your ceiling or whatever you may want to do with it and then uh down here we have our targaryen warship um tyrian lannister is an exclusive character there and what we do so well is we bring the characters to life so you see the tooling on them is very authentic very very detailed and and recreative [00:12:00] Matthew: of the original series it's very impressive sculpting for such small figures when you think of like many figures like this you typically don't expect high detail but uh these are really killer sculpts gotta admit and uh you better look at the inside of this ship here [00:12:16] Speaker 3: this is a really nice piece and i see we got a battle at the wall going on here also exactly yep yep so now you can build your very own winterfell castle um comes with seven different figures lots of detail and i can actually turn it around so you can get a little bit of a glimpse of the inside so lots of oh one of the characters fell well you could already died he's already down is it a john snowman stabbed to death again it might have been yeah um so we have just lots of easter eggs from the show like the map room the forge room with aria's note on dual dragon glass so things that true fans are going to instantly love yeah let's just get a shot at the back of this dragon as well uh this thing is enormous joints like within the wings so you actually build the wings and it that's what creates the posability really cool and i want to pull back for a second to show you guys the [00:13:07] Matthew: pelican and the dragon just give you guys a sense of scale what we're looking at here so they're about the same size almost actually the dragon is a little bit smaller because it is about i think a quarter of the amount of pieces but they're still both very impressive side by side and so the last thing we have here for licensed properties is pokemon yeah yep so pokemon of course we're just focusing on [00:13:25] Speaker 3: those evergreen characters from the original game uh delivering six new characters in our pokeball assortment and then of course giving you new medium pokemon builds um as well delivering those same characters cuban is one of my favorites well if you told us who your favorite is that means you have to [00:13:45] Matthew: make the pokemon noise yeah i don't think so it's too early in the morning for that i tried folks i tried he's being a good sport uh these are really nice so tell us more about this eevee by the way i think somebody else i don't know if you guys was doing an eevee set that had like all the multiple eevees in it is that mega constructs or am i thinking of someone else that's that's mega constructs [00:14:03] Speaker 3: um we have that eevee evolution pack that's going to be out there uh so you can build all the iterations of eevee this is jumbo eevee so i don't know if you saw last year but we had a jumbo pikachu now we have jumbo eevee 800 pieces articulated in the ears all the way down to the tail all right very awesome [00:14:21] Matthew: and uh right behind eevee is just a wall of all the license stuff and all the halo stuff and everything ever in the mega constructs universe i'd say i think it's a fair assessment uh so while we're here i see you guys have got some masters universe on display but there's nothing being shown here uh do you happen to know if there's any news about more masters universe stuff [00:14:37] Speaker 3: coming out from mega constructs um we do yeah well the line is going to continue so just keep an eye out for new news as far as like uh small sets to larger sets as well all right and uh actually same [00:14:49] Matthew: question since you got a few star trek guys so just on the idea of the minifigures that you guys do and i see a predator up there hiding yep uh and there's a kratos by the way over here so are there any and i sort of asked alien queen just just saw that too there's so much to look at uh so all right yeah so the alien queen is new i guess predators new also uh yeah yep all right so i think we need to get a better shot of those guys unexpected uh alien queen right there and this is this is a predator from predator one the first movie so yeah my my rambling question was going to be in terms of like these minifigures and other licensed properties can you give us a hint of who else you might be expecting to see in the near future [00:15:30] Speaker 3: well as far as like coming up for this year if you look in the middle row there we've got five new call of duty characters and five new masters of the universe characters you were hiding them on me all along i knew it oh yeah right in plain sight um yeah so we just uh we have lots of licenses we work with so we just kind of figure out which five are we going to do next up and and kind of deliver the the pop culture hot items that are coming out someone's asking about snake mountain have you heard any news about a snake mountain [00:15:57] Matthew: for i'm [00:17:08] Speaker 4: matthew welcome to nerd news today say hi chat hi guys welcome to the barbie um presentation here at the mattel booth what you're currently looking at is the color reveal doll we just announced this in fall of 2019 it's for the kid who loves unboxing surprises and reveals so this pink tube here right in the front is how we launched the product there's seven total surprises inside down here at the bottom you'll see that we tease kids with the five different dolls you might be able to get and it was originally an animal theme so when you pour everything out of the tube when you get at home you'll find a doll covered head to toe in paint so you don't know what doll you've gotten and you get four little surprise bags yeah so um at home once everything's out of the tube you would put water in the tube there's a little fill line so whatever adult is helping us play we'll fill the water to the fill line then you place the doll in the tube and the paint starts to dissolve off the doll once it's fully dissolved the water in the tube has a cool cloudy effect and then as if by magic the doll that you have gotten reveals itself when you pull her out of the tube and then you open those different surprise bags you'll find a brightly colored wig a matching skirt and a pair of shoes and then a sponge because there's warm and cold water change on barbie's face and in her sculpted hair yeah so as we go through the year we're going to change the theme change the color of the packaging we're going to add chelsea barbie's youngest sister little sisters do everything like big sisters do but on a smaller scale so instead of a wig chelsea will have a cute little ponytail um and then we're going to add pets later in fall when we have an outdoor theme so you'll see up here on this screen we just i'm going to actually [00:18:58] Matthew: not show down the screen just because i don't want to get copyright hit when on youtube so thank you for letting me know about that i'll take a peek at that after yeah yeah um so if you come over here to your [00:19:06] Speaker 4: right you'll see this cute little heart here covered in paint so this is what you would put in water and it would reveal all the fun pet goodies and accessories inside so this is where you'll find either a dog or two little puppies a carrying case and maybe sunglasses and looks like there's an ice cream cone in there for you to walk your dog at the park later very very nice so barbie fans you [00:19:33] Matthew: got something here to play with i think this is probably one of more of the uh playable items as supposed to look more of i guess adult collectible uh yeah this is definitely something that you're [00:19:40] Speaker 4: supposed to take home and unbox and kind of like play with right away to see what you've gotten inside [00:19:47] Matthew: so basically if you are an adult collector don't be afraid to play with your dolls because these are meant for that so go out and get these when they come out or collect them all either way you know everybody saw the pokemon not the barbie pokemon i mean geez all right well [00:19:58] Speaker 4: so if you um turn to your right over here you'll see our fashionistas oh yes the fashionistas are all about diversity and inclusivity we really want girls to see in the line what they're seeing in the world around them so through the fashionista line we've had over 170 different looks 22 different skin tones on the dolls some have freckles some have dimples some have flat feet some have arched feet we have 76 different hair textures 96 different hair colors five body types for the barbies four body types for the kens and every year we introduce something a little bit different and a little new we have dolls that represent diversity with prosthetic limbs or come with their very own wheelchair and ramp down here on the front you'll see a doll that is has no hair so maybe that's for a girl that's very fashion forward and wants to walk the catwalk on fashion week or maybe it's for a girl who's dealing with hair loss first row on the right over there in the striped dress you'll see our doll with vitiligo we partnered with a dermatologist to make sure we got the look of this just right and she is just doing so well on the barbie style instagram um she's one of the number one liked posts [00:21:12] Matthew: yeah these are all really really lovely looking dolls here and yeah i mean that's been the real big thing that we've seen over the last few years when we visited the mattel booth is all the diversity and the expansion of the types of characters the bodies uh really love it you're really representing everybody who's out there you know we're breaking that stereotype what the barbie is you know it's [00:21:27] Speaker 4: nice exactly we're really evolving what it means to look like barbie or be a barbie because all the ladies on the stage are barbie and all the gentlemen on the stage are ken if you look to your right you'll actually see our inspiring women series so the doll all the way to the right is billy jean king and that is actually our spokesperson for this line um we're very proud of these dolls you'll see next to her is ella fitzgerald and we have florence nightingale and this is all about women in history who've really like broke boundaries and made um a stance for to show that girls that they really can [00:22:01] Matthew: be anything and do anything yeah these are really nice it's always interesting seeing when real life people actually get the barbie treatment and you can see florence nightingale over here and a little bit better shot of ella fitzgerald it's always interesting seeing i guess i'm going to just call it the barbie-fication of uh actual people and just how they make that transition to keep the barbie elements of these dolls but also make them appear to be the actual person they're based on so these are really really nice power rangers and gi joe we're also going to have ghostbusters and star wars and marvel legends and transformers in the next day or two did not see any zoids so we've got jitsu up here next to a skeletor one of my favorites of course trap jaw my other favorite stinker so it looks like uh the bad guys are going to come with a little snake mountain to put them in there's a beast man different colored version of trap jaw and alternate colors of skeletor and it looks like the good guys are going to come with a castle great skull carrying case essentially for each one over here we got a different man-at-arms ram man and a faker so the official name is going to be eternia minis for this line let's give you guys a nice wide shot [00:27:00] Speaker 6: okay so i'm going to walk you guys over this direction for a second give you guys a shot over here of the uh the mini masters now we saw the mini masters revealed back at power con as well but they were very early prototypes at the time so you can see now it looks like the villains are going to be coming in snake mountain clam shells the heroes coming in gray skull clam shells uh you can see the pdq box that we're going to see look at that very nice yeah carlos we're at origins right now but it's a very small display it's so we've got to wait our turn a bit so as the patients we'll get a better look momentarily all right and again this is the top gun maverick series which is part of matchbox and uh i'm going to assume based on this guy here he's going to be air pressure jets you could basically punch that thing down and make them actually fly that is a nice little thing to have there's some mario kart stuff as well can't really show you guys uh because there's just a lot of folks right now in that booth and of course monster trucks i'm just going to show you guys this display because it's really really cool i don't collect cars but for anybody who does i hope you're enjoying all this stuff here all right so for people wondering uh because always i was wondering uh would mattel be continuing to do dc superhero girls since uh mcfarlane kind of gobbled the dc rights instead of spin masters well it looks like the answer is yes mattel is going to continue to do dc properties dolls i guess that's a part they can still get so we got some new dolls from wonder woman 84 we've got a wonder woman golden armor version right above that we'll get a better shot at the second and barbara minerva is going to be our new villain it's going to be the cheetah when the movie comes out hey daryl we're actually going to head to jurassic world i think in another few minutes we're actually making our way back they're up in the front of the booth we're in the middle right now so we're going to definitely head over there and i guess it's going to probably be the end of our tour once you get there but it's going to be worth the wait here's that golden armor wonder woman i'm really looking forward to seeing how they're going to actually integrate this thing in the movie because we've been seeing this for a long time now it's like the main thing they've been showing in terms of previewing the movie i'm kind of curious see what this armor actually does what it's going to be significant for very nice and so we've got dc superhero girls that's the cartoon network show so it's a lot of fun i recommend watching if you haven't checked it out yet and yeah this line is continuing so it looks like we've got uh some of those new versions of wonder woman batgirl and supergirl and debuting we've got a harley quinn a poison ivy and a catwoman so this is the reinvented lauren faust dc superhero girls we looked a few years ago at some of the other dc superhero girls i guess those we don't really talk about anymore they were kind of a thing that came and went and ultimately nothing happened with them but this new cartoon network show has been doing very very well and i'm glad to see it's been i guess we'll say picked up for a second wave of dolls and lastly over here another disney property we've got descendants i think that's right this is zombies zombies 2 okay i don't know why i said descendants i know actually i don't know what any of the disney properties are but this is zombies 2. is anybody out there who can explain to me what this is let me know hey jens are you asking about international release for the dolls we're looking at right now or are you asking about a different product while we're here let's get a look at the packaging as well for the zombies so all the dolls that you're seeing out here are going to be on cards blisters all right let's let's take a walk let's see if we can actually now get into jurassic world i think jurassic world's probably gonna be like the most popular booth here there's thomas and friends also here oh all right we're gonna head there i guess momentarily new minecraft stuff by the way folks minecraft earth we've got some minifigures here so there's a lot of folks we like to contend with to take shots things we're all kind of sharing the space but we're going to get a little bit closer uh one minute in the meantime enjoy this so all of the dinosaurs all right dino mike i guess you're the guy to ask because uh you are named after all dino mike so what do you think of these uh dinosaurs so far you've seen all right we're going to try and squeeze in [00:43:48] Speaker 7: let's try that again these are really really lovely sculpts i have to admit i don't collect dinosaur toys really i don't [00:44:10] Matthew: really collect jurassic world but stuff like this really makes me want to start [00:44:16] Speaker 7: but for the sake of my wallet i'm not going to and and and also features that will become the packaging for example and the small the small figures for example each public electric car so that the purchase or buy from a child [00:44:48] Matthew: and here's our big boy look how enormous this guy is here hey dino mike which dinosaur is this [00:44:55] Speaker 7: you get better shout out of the head and then with the larger uh the larger figures who dis how much does he weigh if there's a chip system in the foot of the dinosaur then you can download the jurassic world fax app you can scan the chip it's available on android and ios and you can scan watch and learn more about the dinosaur in a real active moment on the uh on the on the app all right that big guy is a brachiosaurus thank you dino mike nope i can't speak on that because i don't know about what we're introducing for 2020 and then is we've got Pixar action figures now we haven't had like just straight-up articulated disney figures at least as far as i can tell in a long long time that are just you know action figures are not that time we have brought 21 films to life we have brought 14 billion to the box office and also 12 academy awards have come home with pixar taking a look at our seven inch core figures seen here you're going to have on that far left toy story also toy story one action figure of the year at the toadies a few nights ago so that was pretty exciting our center row here are going to be our pixar characters our pixar seven inch fig with the ease and ability to be able to watch any pixar film we want now on disney plus which is so cool here are seven inch figs to accompany all those great films for our new fans and even our old fans and finally we have two new entertainment properties that are coming out you're going to see soul there soul will be coming out june 22nd voiced by jamie fox and tina faye and a slew of other great actors that we will find once we see the film that's going to be a very unique and different film i'm so excited for soul and also onward will be coming out march 6th just a few weeks from now the quest and adventure of two brothers trying to bring their father back to life for one day it's going to have great humor it's going to have a great 80s vibe let's go get them but i'm sure we're going to shed tears in both of them let's be honest it's pixar something we're very excited about here is alien remix a great way to commemorate that 25th anniversary of toy story where we had the claw and the aliens you're going to see our aliens mashed up with other pixar properties so what a fun way to just celebrate all the fun characters pixar has created matched up with our adorable alien something fun has been to see everybody's favorite everyone's had a different favorite which just goes to show you the collectability the charm the quirkiness all the great adjectives that [00:51:42] Matthew: also describe pixar now i have to ask you of course which one is your favorite oh gosh of course well [00:51:47] Speaker 9: i have to go with nemo and boo they're just too cute we've been getting a lot of edna mode we've been getting a lot of woody i have to ask you which one is your favorite oh i don't know about this one's [00:52:03] Matthew: a tough one too i think i actually like uh our good ratatouille friend down here though so cute [00:52:10] Speaker 9: and then rc we have a wally rc you know wally's classic he's not fancy he's not high tech so our rc is going to move forward and back he's going to have light up eyes his arms will move he'll have a great range of motion but he is your classic wally and you will see as you walk along and walk through the gallery a lot of plush as well mattel's been increasing the amount of plush that they're doing as well but you're going to find incredibly high quality and great price point as you walk throughout [00:52:44] Matthew: bro thank you so much for the tour appreciate that and uh we'll take a quick look at the minion stuff because we've also got minions the rise of gru actually before we jump over there i did just see these guys over here we've got uh spotlight series figures so actually oh okay she walked away so we've got spotlight series this i guess is going to be the more collector and version of the disney pixar or sorry the pixar figures i should say since we're calling them that here looks like so we're going to get a mr incredible three heads total he's going to have five hands a removable mask as well you can see over here and a spotlight series buzz lightyear so we've got a lot of articulation on these figures we're going to talk about that momentarily we'll get you a better look at all the articulation buzz is going to have also three heads four hands can't tell if he's going to have any electronic features or not but uh really nice looking buzz collectors your checking account is going to go to infinity and beyond this year in terms of debt because these are really good figures so let me give you a better look at this mr incredible i think that shows off a little more of the articulation so looks like we've got i don't know if it's a ball jointed i'm going to assume it's a ball jointed neck for mr incredible uh really the interesting thing is this torso a lot of companies are doing this kind of now the style of torso it kind of hides the joint a little bit better i think it looks nicer so he's going to have double shoulder articulation that you can see there so he's going to be able to basically cross his arms it's really nice to see that there uh it looks like we've got double jointed elbows i think those are double jointed knees as well a little tough to see from down here but very high amount of articulation on these spotlight series figures and so over here is minions because of course you can't have a toy fair anymore without minions oh we're going to come back to this guy in a minute folks okay we'll come back to that because i don't like to shoot uh kid vloggers in particular just because other you know they're miners don't like to do any filming near them without permission but we're going to come over here to minecraft dungeons i am actually really excited for this game to come out so we're going to have really nice action figures from minecraft dungeons piggy and we're going to have some mini figures looks like these are going to be blind box minis or as they're calling them over here cold night battle chest let's get a better shot of this big boy over here so that's minecraft dungeons there's thomas and friends just hanging out i guess while we're waiting for the uh i guess what really will be our final piece here let's walk on over to this imaginext section because i see some stuff that you guys might like so again mcfarlane spin masters they've got all the dc licenses at this point scooped up but there are still some that mattel has the rights to and that would be i guess the imagine next line and the dolls so we've got xl versions now upscaled versions of some of your favorites here's superman got a batman and the flash all right hey how are you how's it going you guys ready to hear about the [00:56:40] Speaker 8: super surround batk play set absolutely super surround batk play set folks just turn the lights down and give you a full effect of what the surround sound speakers can do as i switch the switch there you get some of the lighting effects and a little taste of those surround sound speakers and the totally immersive quality of this play set stands over two feet tall taller than most of the kids are actually going to be playing with it and let me turn the lights up so you can see a little bit more we also have our bat super computer here which has over 10 minutes of pre-recorded content for instance if you hit the joker's face you might get a character bio the joker is a criminal mastermind [00:57:13] Speaker 2: with intuitive sense of humor i don't know if you guys knew that [00:57:19] Speaker 8: that's an excellent crime fighting tip alfred thank you but you can also start stories with the bat supercomputer for instance if you hit the joker again it might say oh the joker is loose inside the bat cave and then of course it's up to the children to be able to play out the rest of the adventure with the exclusive action figures elevators and power pad delights like with the drawbridge that robin is standing on here goes over to the holding cell and he realizes with the turn of the power pad there's been a jailbreak oh no the rest of the bad guys are loose they can use any of these implements of justice here to wreak havoc or maybe even fire on gotham with this missile launcher which actually can be mounted at different points on the play set itself once you've recaptured them you can drop them down the trap door to put them back in the holding cell but no matter what you're going to have to pick out your favorite suit of bat armor here to be able to save the day i'm not really feeling any of these so i'm going to turn it around what that's where the bad guys were cool time who knew so it comes with an exclusive bat um catwoman joker mr freeze it also comes with the robin action figure that you saw before and the removable cowl batman over here in the bat central command center all of these bells and whistles are easily storable because the place it folds in half so you could just push it off to the side of the living room when you're done it's time for little gotham mics to go to sleep the super surround bad cape playset is our fall media driver we're super excited about it and we can't wait to get in your homes because i think you're gonna love it all right folks and we've also got some more little [00:58:45] Matthew: minifigures over here i guess they're calling them slammers so a little bit the big big news uh at least i think coming out this year for toy fair from mattel they've got the child so as i mentioned i went to hasbro yesterday and i covered the star wars stuff those videos going to be released later today but this is a big surprise to see i mean we've seen star wars stuff here today in hot wheels and other things but you know for the most part most of the toy license is hasbro and hasbro is doing a ton of child things already we saw yesterday and again video will be up later but this guy right here this guy right here also got some plush toys as well let's see if i find i don't think there's anybody here to give us a little explanation of this guy here so we've also got some baby yoda plushes so we're just going to watch baby yoda spin i guess because uh that's what we do here in nerd news today but i think we're going to basically end the stream here with the child because i want to try and get a few shots of myself and this event closes in about 20 minutes
