[0:57] We will send a message that Georgia is a state where everyone has an opportunity to make [1:04] their dreams come true. [1:10] Know we are ready to win because more than two million Georgians have already cast their [1:17] ballots. [1:18] We're well on our way to shattering records for any midterm in this state's history. [1:37] Georgia, we are a state with a rich legacy. [1:41] One that has called upon its people to lead during uncertainty and to stand tall in the [1:47] face of adversity. [1:50] We are the home of Congressman John Lewis, who reminded us that democracy is an act and [2:02] each generation must do its part to protect it. [2:07] Georgia, we are the home of President Jimmy Carter, who said the most powerful title is [2:19] that of citizen and that power rests with everyday people. [2:25] Georgia, we are the home of Coretta Scott King, who said there comes a time when time itself [2:38] is ready for a change. [2:40] Well, Georgia, that time is now. [2:44] And no wannabe dictator and his billionaire sidekick will stop the momentum that we are [2:55] seeing across this state. [3:03] From the Red Hills of Georgia to the Blue Ridge Mountains of the Piedmont, we are showing up. [3:10] We are making our voices heard. [3:12] We are bringing our friends and our families, and we are showing America that the way we [3:18] saw in Georgia that sent Senator John Ossoff and Senator Warnock to the United States Senate [3:36] was not a fluke. [3:38] It was just the beginning. [3:43] The next six days will determine the future of our state for generations to come. [3:49] So not only are we showing up to early vote, but we will show up on Election Day, remembering [3:56] that our votes are our voices, and our voices will never be silent. [4:02] At least a fifth generation Georgian, I am deeply honored to be here with you as your Democratic [4:16] nominee for Governor of Georgia. [4:19] The last year and a half, I've had the privilege of traveling across Georgia, talking with people, [4:45] listening to their concerns, and hearing how excited Georgians are to have a chance at something [4:51] better for their families and their communities. [4:55] Those conversations have reminded me that this election is about the people we serve. [5:02] It's about whether everyday hardworking people can afford to put food on the table, whether [5:09] our children have the opportunities that they deserve. [5:13] It's about whether our seniors can age in place with dignity. [5:23] It's about whether our veterans can receive the health care that they have earned. [5:31] This election is about whether every Georgian, no matter their zip code or background, has [5:38] a fair chance at building a better future. [5:45] And for me, that is deeply personal. [5:48] Derek and I have two children in college and two in high school, and we want better for [5:54] them. [5:55] Isn't that what we all want? [5:59] A better future for all of our children. [6:02] I want children across Georgia to know that there are people working to make sure that they [6:07] have a foundation that gives them every opportunity that they need to succeed. [6:14] That is why we will fully fund education in Georgia. [6:22] We will ensure that every child has an opportunity to attend pre-K. [6:31] And we will raise teacher pay. [6:34] We believe that every Georgian has the right to get the health care that they need and deserve. [6:51] And that's why we will expand Medicaid access to mental health services. [7:03] We believe in creating opportunity in every Georgia community. [7:07] That's why we will build more affordable and workforce housing across this state. [7:14] We will support our small businesses. [7:19] And we will create a pathway to free technical and community college. [7:25] And protecting our environment, protecting our communities and bringing down our power bills. [7:42] That is why we will cause construction on new data centers, freedoms and our democracy. [8:01] And that's why I will expand voting rights and stand up to anyone, including Donald Trump, [8:15] tries to stand in the way of our right to vote. [8:19] I believe in a woman's right to make decisions. [8:26] A woman's right to make decisions about her own body and her future. [9:01] Governor will to restore that right. [9:11] Georgia has always been a place where extraordinary people, where ordinary people have done extraordinary things. [9:20] We saw it at the Atlanta University Center when students organized sit-ins and freedom rides in the 1960s. [9:37] And we saw it again just yesterday when hundreds of students marched to the polls. [9:49] They have reminded us that in acts big and small, we all have the power to shape the future of our state. [10:04] That is the legacy we have in Georgia, and in with that legacy comes responsibility. [10:12] With just six days until Election Day, we have an opportunity to write the next and best chapter of Georgia. [10:21] Together, we can move mountains and conquer billionaire giants. [10:33] Now, we all are inflicted by the Trump administration, rising costs of groceries, gas, housing, and healthcare. [10:50] You've seen Georgia schools stretch their budgets thin as resources from the Department of Education have been gutted. [11:01] You've heard Georgia veterans face long wait times for doctor's visits as the Secretary of Defense focuses on testosterone levels. [11:15] You've seen Georgians pay more for gas while Donald Trump starts new wars. [11:29] And Georgia farmers have borne witness to the rising cost of fertilizer, while morticians have even had to upcharge caskets because of Trump's terrors. [11:41] The living and the dead are paying the price while Trump looks at the world through orange tinted glasses, blind to the pain and suffering of the American people. [12:06] Nearly 600,000 Georgians have dropped their healthcare coverage because Donald Trump increased premiums. [12:13] That's on top of the cuts to Medicaid and Trump's big, ugly bill. [12:18] And on top of that, nine rural hospitals have closed because Georgia has not expanded Medicaid. [12:27] Young people have lost access to student loans. [12:35] CDC workers have been gut punched. [12:40] And as we face teacher shortages across this state, I even met a woman at church last Sunday who lost her job as a teacher because of cuts to teach for America. [12:55] As families are trying to make every dollar count, we have to ask, what will Georgia leaders do to stand up for them? [13:05] So let me tell you what I'll do as your next governor. [13:11] Bring down costs by giving local leaders the power to eliminate taxes on groceries, diapers and feminine hygiene products. [13:26] I'm going to build more affordable housing, provide property tax relief for homeowners, [13:37] pull back the taxes on the state taxes on automobile and homeowners insurance. [13:49] Every child deserves a fair chance no matter their zip code. [13:57] That's why we will fully and properly fund education, raise teacher pay, guarantee access to pre-K, [14:07] and create a pathway for free technical and community college so that every Georgian, our young people looking for a new path, [14:15] and those looking for a new start can get the skills and education they need. [14:20] On day one, I'm going to get to work to expand Medicaid, protect our rural hospitals, [14:31] and make sure Georgians can afford to access healthcare. [14:36] With one vote at a time, we are going to bring hope back to Georgia. [14:46] Hope for a future where every child can succeed, where our communities are stronger, our voices are heard, and no one is left behind. [14:59] Now, what is the opposite of hope, Georgia? [15:08] Despair. [15:13] And he goes by the name of slick Rick Jackson. [15:18] Rick is so desperate, he even gave Donald Trump $2 million to try and buy his endorsement during the Republican primary. [15:35] Rick has made it clear that his number one priority will be to do whatever his big daddy Donald Trump tells him to do. [15:49] And just this week, slick Rick said he was busy and couldn't attend the rally with Trump and Perry. [16:01] Then I guess Trump called slick Rick and told him to pull out his matching suit and tie, stand next to him on stage so they could project what they believe the future of Georgia should be. [16:17] Two out of touch billionaires who want to keep getting rich off the backs of taxpayers. [16:24] Coverage in Perry, you know that slick Rick had one job, he had one line to say, and he couldn't even get that right. [16:41] It was something about bad, hold on, bad, I mean, one job, one line, and he even failed at that. [16:50] So when slick Rick says he wants to be Trump with the southern tone, just know that he already is. [17:02] The issue that matters to Georgia families right now, slick Rick is putting himself and Trump ahead of what's best for our state. [17:15] Trump's tariffs at a raising cost, slick Rick supports them because he's making money. [17:21] Trump's high gas prices, well slick Rick owns a petroleum refinery that's exporting oil overseas. [17:29] Trump supported data centers, slick Rick owns not one, not two, not three, but four companies [17:37] that are investing and building data centers as we speak. [17:41] To health care, slick Rick says, quote, I don't think the consequences are that bad. [18:08] And Trump's delusional belief that he actually won Georgia in 2020. [18:13] Well, slick Rick called the Republican secretary of state a modern day Judas because he refused to overturn the results. [18:28] And abortion bans, slick Rick takes credit for the six week abortion ban in Georgia that's caused women to needlessly suffer during miscarriages and lose their lives. [18:41] Even believes that a woman should have to prove that she is raped to get an abortion. [18:53] Now, Donald Trump wants us to imagine that his name is on the ballot in Georgia. [19:03] And it is. It's spelled J-A-C-K. [19:09] And my mama said I couldn't spell it the way I want to, so I'll end it with S-O-N. [19:17] Georgia, the contrast in this race is clear. [19:27] Slick Rick Jackson is running to be Donald Trump's favorite governor, and I'm running to be yours. [19:34] Slick Rick are more interested in serving themselves than serving the people. [19:59] But on Tuesday, we get to decide what we're going to do about it. [20:04] We're going to exercise whole ballot energy and elect leaders who put people first. [20:14] We can make a real difference in people's lives. [20:18] President Obama has reminded us that government can be a force for good and that progress happens when we have the courage to stand in the gap for people who need it. [20:29] Senator Ossoff. [20:32] Ossoff has proven that to be true over the last six years, and we need to send him back to the Senate so that he can continue to get in good trouble on behalf of the people of Georgia. [20:57] With just three days of voting remaining, we still have thousands of calls to make and doors to knock on. [21:09] Our turnout is looking great, but it ain't over until it's over. [21:13] We're starting to see an uptick in Republican votes, and we don't want to be overtaken on Election Day. [21:22] 21 votes per precinct was the difference between the winner and loser in the governor's race in 2018. [21:30] So take out your phones, call, text, DM 21 people, your neighbors, your family, your friends, your enemies, your cousins and them, [21:42] and tell them we need a win that is too big to rig. [21:48] Slick Rick has already put over $200 million of his own money into this race to try and buy this election. [22:02] But while Slick Rick may have the money, we still have the power. [22:08] I was recently asked if I always wanted to be the governor of Georgia, and the answer is no. [22:19] But I vividly recall those rare days when my grandmother didn't ride the bus home from her job at Davidson's Department Store in Lenox Square Mall, [22:30] and the excitement I had when my mother would pick her up from work. [22:34] We'd leave our home on the west side of Atlanta early so that we could take the long street way into Buckhead, [22:41] and the most exciting part of that drive for me was passing the governor's mansion. [22:48] I remember looking at it as we drove by and saying, I want to go in there one day. [22:55] What my six-year-old self, what my six-year-old self didn't know was that God was placing a calling in my heart that would take decades to fulfill. [23:36] And if my wish at six years old had come true, I would have walked through those doors alone. [23:45] But 50 years later, I will not just walk into the governor's mansion, but the state capitol as well, [23:55] bringing with me the hopes and dreams of little boys and girls all across Georgia [24:03] who are counting on their governor to make decisions about their future that will make all things possible. [24:19] Georgia, they may have the money, but they will never overtake our movement. [24:25] Six days until Election Day and we are fed up and ready to vote. [24:35] Long Georgia, Long Georgia, Long Georgia. [24:49] May God bless us all and let's go get it done. [25:02] Thank you so much for coming out tonight. [26:01] First, first, would every veteran, every military service member, every military spouse, [26:08] please raise your hand if you can and hold it high to be honored by all of us. [26:13] Thank you so much. [26:22] Now, Georgia, for nearly two years, for nearly two years, [26:36] we've seen our government transformed into a tool of one man's personal vengeance and power and enrichment. [26:45] We've seen insurance stripped from cancer patients and hospitals closed services to fund tax cuts for the rich. [26:59] We've seen prison camps for immigrants full of children. [27:02] We've seen masked federal agents with license to kill demanding papers at police checkpoints. [27:15] Each day, Donald Trump digs the moral pit deeper. [27:25] But Pastor Bryant, isn't it in Proverbs that says, [27:32] whoever digs a pit, whoever digs a pit will fall into it. [27:46] And Georgia, over the last year, in defiance of his depravity, [27:50] we've marched together in protest and we've gathered at rallies like this one that just keep getting bigger and bigger. [27:57] We've come together in small towns and big cities in the mountains and on the coast and on the Georgia farms that feed and clothe the world. [28:10] And now, Georgia, with just six days to go, I'm here to tell you I have no doubt our victory is near at hand. [28:19] In six days, our juggernaut coordinated campaign will have turned out the vote like never before [28:33] to elect Josh McLaurin, Penny Brown Reynolds, Tanya Miller and Democrats up and down the ballot. [28:38] In six days, we'll elect a Medicaid expanding Governor Keisha Lance Bottoms. [28:49] And in six days, Georgia will rebuke the crook President Donald Trump with such clarity and power [29:02] that no president will dare such abuses again for centuries. [29:07] Now, remember, he promised to lower prices on day one. [29:31] Instead, under the failed President Donald J. Trump, it costs more than ever in American history to fill up your truck, [29:44] stock your fridge, visit the doctor or power your home. [29:51] They promised to drain the slump. [29:53] Instead, it's the most corrupt administration of all time and everybody knows it. [30:00] And while the crook President and his crook family rake in billions from all over the world, you pay more for everything. [30:12] They doubled your insurance premiums and slashed Medicaid to cut taxes for the rich. [30:18] They lied us into war and spent most of the last year covering up for the world's most famous pedophile. [30:24] You saw it. [30:33] Now, remember, they also promised peace. [30:41] They promised peace. [30:44] Instead, today marks eight months of a needless war that the useless draft dodging commander-in-chief can't figure out how to end or how to win. [30:56] Remember, last year, last year they claimed Iran's nuclear program had been obliterated. [31:08] Do you remember that? [31:09] And then this year they told us it posed an imminent threat. [31:13] Both times lies. [31:15] On day four of the war, day four, the President declared victory. [31:23] On day 11, Trump said, quote, the war is very complete. [31:31] Day 13, quote, we won. [31:35] Day 21, getting very close. [31:40] Day 32, quote, leaving very soon. [31:44] On day 40, the President declared, quote, total and complete victory. [31:50] Today is day 243. [31:55] 21 Americans are dead and hundreds wounded. [32:01] Iran still has its uranium and drones and missiles while diesel hits its all-time high. [32:06] They've drained our stockpiles to achieve nothing while the President builds himself a victory arch. [32:12] And while the world burns, in Washington and at Mar-a-Lago, it's a spectacle of graft unprecedented in American history. [32:30] The crypto payoffs and the crooked ballroom, the pay-to-play pardons and the billions of your tax dollars backing Prince Don and Prince Eric's investments. [32:42] Never before has so little effort been made to cover up so much corruption. [32:48] And here's the bottom line. [32:52] If you're involved in any of this, next year you'll be raising your right hand and swearing to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. [33:02] So help you God in front of the United States Congress. [33:06] The Mar-a-Lago mafia has taken American corruption to spectacular new heights. [33:36] But corruption in American politics runs a lot deeper than Donald Trump. [33:44] It's been running on corporate money, secret money, billionaire money, both sides. [33:50] Citizens United was the most destructive court decision in modern American history. [33:59] Spectacular wealth buys an ever greater share of power over our national affairs. [34:08] And I suspect many of you are here because you recognize that our task is not just to contain this one man's wickedness, but to heal the brokenness that gave rise to him. [34:22] That this moment is an opportunity not for restoration, but for reformation. [34:31] And Atlanta, if it takes a constitutional amendment to end Citizens United, we'll deliver a united Georgia to ratify it. [34:40] A united Georgia. [34:49] Each day our wave grows taller and our tent grows bigger because this isn't just a campaign for Democrats. [34:57] Folks come up to me at airports or on the street. [35:02] They tell me they're voting for a Democrat for the first time. [35:05] For the first time. [35:07] Down in Valdosta, the mayor's name is Scott James Matheson, a lifelong Republican. [35:17] We upgraded Moody Air Force together. [35:19] And then when Hurricane Helene hit, we went together block by block and served hot meals to folks who just lost their homes. [35:26] And when I got back to Washington, I delivered federal disaster aid for South Georgia. [35:30] And now I'm honored to have conservative Republican Mayor Matheson's support in this reelection campaign. [35:36] See, just about every week I call up Georgia mayors and pastors and farmers to find out how I can help. [35:49] And just up the road from Valdosta in Tifton is Republican Mayor Julie Smith. [35:56] And one day Julie told me the Tifton Hospital needed new dialysis equipment to serve patients with diabetes in 12 South Georgia counties. [36:05] So I delivered the funds to upgrade that clinic, which can now serve 200 patients. [36:11] And like Mayor Matheson, Republican Mayor Julie Smith supporting this campaign, too. [36:19] Up north in Toccoa, then Mayor Gail Frye, another Georgia Republican. [36:30] She told me Toccoa's gas lines were wearing out. [36:33] So I got to work and delivered the funds to replace them. [36:38] And Georgia Republican Gail Frye supporting our campaign, too. [36:41] Because, see, hurricanes and diabetes and gas leaks don't check your party affiliation. [36:51] And when it comes to serving Georgia, I don't either. [36:55] But there's another reason. [37:00] There's another reason so many Georgia Republicans are backing our campaign. [37:05] And it's the bigot Congressman Mike Collins. [37:09] See, see, Brian Kemp was right about Mike. [37:19] There's a reason why Brad Raffensperger refuses to endorse him. [37:24] Why conservative WSB radio host Shelley Winter calls Mike a bottom feeder. [37:30] Why one of the founders of the Tea Party said this summer, quote, I cannot in good conscience vote for Mike Collins. [37:38] He is unfit for office. [37:40] And that reason is that Mike Collins is a known bigot under federal investigation for the illegal misuse of tax dollars, [37:52] surrounded at work and at home by white nationalists and neo-Nazis and unfit for any elected office in the United States. [37:59] And in his pathetic childlike devotion to Donald Trump, Mike Collins sold out our state. [38:17] He voted every time for the war. [38:21] He voted every time for the tariffs. [38:23] He voted to double your health insurance premiums. [38:26] And he voted for the biggest Medicaid cut in history. [38:29] Listen to this. [38:33] St. Mary's Hospital in Livonia is in Mike's district. [38:38] And they just closed their labor and delivery units citing those Medicaid cuts. [38:43] So now pregnant women Mike Collins represents have to drive an hour in labor to get to a maternity unit. [38:52] And Georgia, after all that, the bigot congressman is asking for a promotion. [39:03] But in six days, we'll end his political career instead. [39:08] Now, what could drive Mike Collins to cast a vote that closes a labor and delivery unit in his own district? [39:29] It's not just the money that's corrupted our politics. [39:32] It's a moral corruption. [39:35] It's the cynical indifference of powerful people. [39:38] See, my office is known for world-class service. [39:43] And what amazes me is how surprised people are to be treated so well. [39:49] Nancy Lancey is 81 years old in Jessup. [39:55] Her husband died after years of dementia. [39:58] She was worn out and alone. [40:01] And now her affairs were all wrapped up in a labyrinth between the VA and the IRS and Social Security. [40:09] So we took care of things for her. [40:11] And I'll never forget what she said about it. [40:14] She said, this was a new experience to have someone caring about me. [40:21] A new experience to have someone caring about me. [40:28] How has it come to pass that for so many Americans, the experience of genuine care is rare and surprising? [40:40] Official indifference and corporate disrespect have become systemic. [40:46] Instead of reading your daughter her favorite book, that precious spare hour after work, [40:53] you're on the phone begging the insurance company to cover the medicine that prevents her seizures. [40:57] The army lost the records you need to claim your VA benefits and it takes a year and 12 calls to fix it. [41:05] You report the black mold to your landlord but he doesn't fix the leak and the ambulance for your toddler's asthma attack is followed by a $3,000 bill. [41:17] Daily life's hard enough. [41:24] And then you see the state of the world. [41:30] I've got two little girls at home. [41:33] Eva's four and Lila's one. [41:35] And I'm so grateful to this country for the security and opportunity it affords them. [41:39] But this isn't the world I want to leave them. [41:42] Soon enough they'll learn there's now plastic in human blood and breast milk. [41:48] That toxic forever chemicals are in half the country's drinking water. [41:54] Eva loves animal documentaries and she'll learn the butterflies are dying off. [42:01] She'll learn about the nuclear weapons that threaten annihilation. [42:03] She'll ask me why I allowed these things to happen. [42:08] And see what fills us with dread is the crushing weakness of our politics against the massive stakes of our times. [42:18] Tech titans build bunkers while warning the artificial intelligence they're creating risks human extinction. [42:27] Meanwhile our Congress debates youth sports and the president builds a ballroom. [42:34] An ancient establishment barely capable of emails sleepwalks into a technological revolution [42:43] while the president dismantles precautions and calls us fools for worrying. [42:46] So you see this scenario and it fills you with dread. I get it. [42:51] But Georgia we can and will reclaim control over our own destiny. [43:00] We can and will meet our obligations to our children. [43:08] And it begins with victory this fall. [43:11] Because Georgia I refuse to leave my girls a world as dark and dangerous and cruel as this one threatens to become. [43:21] I refuse to accept that Eva and Lila will grow up on a poisoned planet rearming for world war. [43:29] In a country where we have enough nuclear weapons to destroy the world a thousand fold. [43:33] But we refuse to guarantee health care for every citizen. [43:36] When Eva's old enough to ask me why I let this happen. [43:48] I'm determined to answer truthfully but I didn't. [43:52] I'll tell her how the same year she turned five Georgia overcame every doubt and dirty trick. [44:06] To not just win but to set a new course for our state and our country and our world. [44:13] That our generation didn't shrink from its obligations to hers. [44:17] That we mastered technology instead of letting it master us. [44:22] That we restored American leadership toward peace and human rights. [44:26] That we guaranteed health care for every single American. [44:41] There's a portrait of Congressman Lewis right above my desk in my Senate office. [44:46] And I promise you his spirit is with us in this place right now. [44:54] Right now. [44:57] Even in his final months he kept reminding us that we all live in one American house. [45:06] In one world house. [45:07] Do you remember? [45:08] See John Lewis knew and gave blood to make real. [45:15] What small men like Donald Trump and Mike Collins will never understand. [45:19] That our national greatness flows not through our genes. [45:22] But through our ideas and aspirations. [45:24] And care for one another. [45:26] And from our founding ideals. [45:36] Despite our sins. [45:37] And through courageous struggle. [45:40] The flame of American freedom has grown brighter and bolder. [45:43] And given hope to the whole world. [45:45] But in the winds that blow today. [45:49] That light is flickering. [45:51] And from the Fulton County raid. [45:55] To the executive order attacking voting. [45:57] To the MAGA loyalists on our state election board. [46:00] The election deniers and insurrectionists and their accomplices. [46:03] Have made their intentions very clear. [46:05] But Atlanta when voting rights and civil rights that heroes died to secure are under attack. [46:11] We defend those rights by using them. [46:13] And that's why Georgia Democrats are answering with a mobilization so massive. [46:23] And a defense of voting rights so fierce. [46:26] That no plot against the franchise will foil the will of the people. [46:30] Because how foolish of them. [46:37] To come to the cradle of the civil rights movement. [46:40] To spread those lies. [46:41] And seize those ballots. [46:43] Their attacks have only strengthened our resolve. [46:47] And if we all do what we must do these next six days. [46:51] The sound of feet marching to the polls. [46:54] Will be heard in every corner of our state. [46:56] And way up on high. [46:57] Where Congressman Lewis will look down and see a job well done. [47:01] A wave is building. [47:09] The kind of wave that comes once a generation. [47:12] When the people have been pushed too far. [47:14] And decide all together. [47:16] All at once. [47:17] That enough. [47:18] Is. [47:19] Enough. [47:20] We have six days Georgia. [47:23] And Georgia will bow to no king. [47:27] Georgia are you fired up? [47:34] Are you ready to please welcome to the stage. [47:41] The 44th president of the United States. [47:46] President Barack Obama. [47:49] Hello Atlanta. [47:50] Hello 44. [48:30] Oh it is good to be back in Georgia. [48:45] It is great to be with you. [48:50] It's great to be with my friend and your next governor. [48:56] Keisha Lance Bottoms. [48:58] And my friend standing United States Senator John Ossoff. [49:09] We're gonna send him back. [49:10] I was standing backstage. [49:16] I was getting fired up. [49:17] We got some outstanding candidates. [49:23] And I caught my buddy Janelle Monae also. [49:27] That also got me fired up. [49:29] And I. [49:31] The band. [49:32] I saw you. [49:36] I saw you. [49:38] Huh. [49:41] I was trying to do some of those moves backstage. [49:47] The dances. [49:48] It didn't look good when I was doing them. [49:54] Now. [49:58] I love you too. [49:59] I do. [50:01] Huh. [50:10] Let's get down to business here. [50:11] I have been doing this a long time. [50:17] Some people say too long. [50:21] One of those people is Michelle Obama. [50:26] Huh. [50:32] But when you've campaigned in as many elections as I have. [50:37] You can tell when an election comes along that just feels a little different. [50:42] An election where people are so ready for something new. [50:48] So hungry for something better. [50:50] So sick and tired of being sick and tired. [50:53] That everywhere you go it feels like change is in the air. [50:56] And Georgia that's what I'm feeling right now. [51:01] That's what you get a chance to do in six states. [51:10] After two years of chaos. [51:12] And cruelty. [51:13] And corruption. [51:14] And incompetence. [51:15] The likes of which this country has not seen in modern times. [51:20] You get to say enough is enough. [51:24] We're voting for change here in Georgia. [51:26] And I'm not just asking you to vote for John and Keisha. [51:39] I'm also asking you to vote for your next Lieutenant Governor. [51:43] Josh McLaurin. [51:44] Your next Secretary of State. [51:46] Penny Brown Reynolds. [51:49] Your next Attorney General. [51:51] Tanya Miller. [51:52] Your Congresswoman. [51:54] Nakeema Williams. [51:55] And Democrats. [51:57] All the way up and down the ballot. [51:59] And you have until this Friday. [52:05] October 30th. [52:07] To vote early in person. [52:09] So do not procrastinate. [52:11] Don't equivocate. [52:14] Go to iwillvote.com to find your early voting location. [52:19] Get your family. [52:20] Get your friends. [52:21] Get your neighbors. [52:22] To vote early. [52:24] Because I don't have to tell you how tough things are out there. [52:31] You're living it. [52:33] I do think it's worth reminding ourselves how we got here. [52:39] And the promises the current occupant of the White House was making. [52:45] On the campaign trail just two years ago. [52:48] It's always good to play back the tape. [52:52] When you've got a record. [52:54] That way you kind of know the facts. [52:57] And I'm a. [52:59] I believe in facts. [53:00] I'm a fact guy. [53:01] So at the time. [53:06] There were a lot of people. [53:09] Who weren't crazy. [53:11] About the guy's character. [53:12] It had been on display. [53:15] But they were frustrated. [53:18] About post-COVID inflation. [53:20] Seeing prices go up. [53:23] And they heard him promise. [53:25] To get costs under control. [53:28] Of course those were not. [53:32] The only promises he made. [53:33] He also promised. [53:34] He'd impose tariffs. [53:36] That would bring down the deficit. [53:38] And he promised he'd stop. [53:41] Getting us involved in unnecessary wars. [53:44] He promised he'd pass. [53:46] A beautiful health care bill. [53:47] That would make everybody's lives better. [53:49] Of course. [53:50] He'd been promising that. [53:51] For about eight years. [53:52] But. [53:53] He promised it again. [53:54] And. [53:55] So now. [53:57] Let's look at the tape. [53:58] Let's see how all those promises worked out. [54:00] First of all. [54:05] If you thought everything cost too much before. [54:09] Guess what. [54:11] Everything is more expensive now. [54:15] Your mortgage. [54:17] Your health care. [54:19] Your utility bills. [54:21] And then there's gas. [54:23] Top four bucks a gallon last month. [54:28] Diesel still over five. [54:31] Now. [54:33] I want to be fair. [54:34] Remember. [54:35] I'm a fact guy. [54:36] So. [54:38] So I like to be fair. [54:39] As a former president. [54:41] I can say. [54:42] That sometimes. [54:44] There are factors. [54:45] Beyond. [54:46] The president's control. [54:48] That end up foiling the best laid plans. [54:50] You might have a good plan. [54:52] Some unforeseen event happens. [54:55] But that's not the case here. [54:59] In this case. [55:03] The administration's own actions. [55:06] Are. [55:07] Directly. [55:08] Responsible. [55:09] For rising costs. [55:10] As. [55:13] John described. [55:14] The current president. [55:17] Chose. [55:18] To make a series. [55:19] Of bad decisions. [55:21] The most important of which. [55:23] Was. [55:24] To start. [55:25] An unnecessary war. [55:26] That nobody asked for. [55:28] And nobody voted for. [55:29] This happens to be something. [55:35] I know a little bit about. [55:36] Think about this Iran war. [55:39] The original rationale was. [55:41] We were going to go in there. [55:42] To get them. [55:43] To give up their nuclear weapons. [55:45] And their nuclear program. [55:47] Except. [55:49] Iran didn't have nuclear weapons. [55:52] We had curbed. [55:54] Their. [55:55] Nuclear program. [55:56] I had put in place. [55:57] A deal. [55:58] That everybody acknowledged. [56:00] Kept them from. [56:01] Getting nukes. [56:02] I didn't have to fire. [56:04] Any missiles. [56:06] I engaged. [56:07] In diplomacy. [56:08] Eight months later. [56:17] Eight months later. [56:19] Roughly seven months. [56:21] After they declared victory. [56:23] Repeatedly. [56:25] How is this war gone. [56:28] Our allies. [56:31] And bases. [56:32] Have been attacked. [56:34] Americans. [56:35] Have been killed. [56:36] Hundreds of Americans. [56:37] Have been wounded. [56:38] We have run down. [56:39] Our stock. [56:40] Of missiles. [56:41] Making us more vulnerable. [56:43] And. [56:44] Iran. [56:45] Now has. [56:46] Veto power. [56:47] Over the Strait of. [56:48] Hormuz. [56:49] Where. [56:50] Much of the world's. [56:51] Oil. [56:52] Goes through. [56:53] To get to. [56:54] Consumers. [56:55] So. [56:57] Follow me now. [56:59] This is. [57:00] The reason. [57:01] Why. [57:03] The price. [57:04] Of oil. [57:05] Is up. [57:06] This is the reason. [57:07] Why the price. [57:09] The diesel's up. [57:10] The price. [57:11] Of just about. [57:14] Everything. [57:15] Is up. [57:16] And by the way. [57:17] Contrary. [57:18] To the promises. [57:19] And statements. [57:21] And declarations. [57:22] That were made. [57:23] Seven months ago. [57:25] This war is not over. [57:26] It's still going on. [57:28] Which means. [57:29] You are not getting any. [57:30] Relief. [57:31] Relief anytime soon. [57:34] Meanwhile. [57:35] You've got. [57:37] The defense secretary. [57:38] No, no, no, no, no. [57:41] Hold on. [57:42] Some of y'all been to my rallies before. [57:44] You don't boo. [57:45] What do you do? [57:46] You go vote. [57:47] They can't hear your boos. [57:50] But they can hear your vote. [57:51] So while all this is happening. [57:55] The defense secretary is laser focused on very important matters like. [58:01] The jawline. [58:02] And testosterone levels of our troops. [58:06] And live streaming executions. [58:10] Because that's how he thinks you cultivate that manly warrior spirit. [58:17] These are not serious people. [58:22] And we're all paying the price for their lack of seriousness. [58:28] And oil prices are not the only reason prices keep going up. [58:35] There's also this whole tariff business. [58:38] Our president loves tariffs. [58:41] Loves them. [58:42] But remember. [58:44] He was warned. [58:47] Run back to the tape. [58:50] Economists said. [58:51] When you impose tariffs. [58:53] Consumers pay the tab. [58:55] And that's exactly what happened. [58:58] And the big trade war he's waging now. [59:03] Is that well known evil empire. [59:10] That historical adversary of the United States. [59:13] Canada. [59:14] The people who gave us maple syrup. [59:18] And Martin Short. [59:19] The nicest people around. [59:21] Our friendly neighbors to the north. [59:23] Now they're booing our hockey games. [59:25] And rather than bring tariffs. [59:31] Rather than having the tariffs bring down deficits. [59:34] Like he said he would. [59:35] We're now running a debt to the tune of 40 trillion dollars. [59:43] 40 trillion. [59:45] And while we're alienating key allies like Canada. [59:51] The White House is bending the knee to Vladimir Putin of Russia. [59:57] And selling out Ukrainians. [59:59] Who are fighting for their freedom and democracy. [1:00:01] Do not boo. [1:00:02] Boo. [1:00:03] So. [1:00:08] So you've got. [1:00:09] They made a choice. [1:00:12] To fight a war they didn't need to fight. [1:00:16] They made a choice. [1:00:17] To impose tariffs. [1:00:18] That is why prices are going up. [1:00:21] That's why gas is so high. [1:00:23] And you would think. [1:00:27] That at least. [1:00:28] With all this going on. [1:00:29] Our current president. [1:00:30] Would have. [1:00:31] Would have passed some legislation to bring down prices. [1:00:34] That this would be an urgent call he would make to Congress. [1:00:41] But the only bill. [1:00:42] That he and his Republican allies in Congress have passed. [1:00:46] Of any significance was a trillion dollar tax break. [1:00:50] That mostly benefits the richest Americans. [1:00:52] Now I've heard the argument. [1:00:57] Well the president's done some things folks wanted. [1:00:59] Like tightening up the border. [1:01:01] And you know what. [1:01:02] I believe we do need to make sure our border is orderly and secure. [1:01:06] And in fact when I was president. [1:01:08] I got criticized by. [1:01:09] Some Democratic allies for tightening up enforcement at the border. [1:01:12] But I don't. [1:01:14] Recall anybody. [1:01:16] Asking. [1:01:17] This administration to send mass agents running through our streets. [1:01:20] I don't recall anybody talk. [1:01:22] Talking about. [1:01:24] Law abiding citizens getting arrested. [1:01:27] And detained. [1:01:28] And shot. [1:01:29] And killed. [1:01:30] And children being taken away. [1:01:32] From their parents. [1:01:33] We did not ask for that. [1:01:35] That's not how. [1:01:36] We get our border under control. [1:01:38] But. [1:01:39] But let's be honest. [1:01:46] Does anybody really think. [1:01:50] That this. [1:01:51] That's the right answer. [1:01:56] But let me. [1:01:57] Let me ask my rhetorical question here. [1:01:59] Does anybody really think. [1:02:02] That this guy is spending. [1:02:03] All that much time. [1:02:05] Focused. [1:02:06] On the issues that matter to you. [1:02:09] They. [1:02:12] Because I. [1:02:13] I don't know if you've noticed. [1:02:14] He's very focused. [1:02:16] On home renovations. [1:02:17] Should have a show on HGTV. [1:02:22] That. [1:02:25] That. [1:02:26] The guy is building a ballroom. [1:02:28] That is bigger than the White House. [1:02:30] He's paved over the Rose Garden. [1:02:32] Put a helicopter pad on the South Lawn. [1:02:35] And there is gold everywhere. [1:02:36] So much gold. [1:02:37] Hey. [1:02:39] He's. [1:02:41] He is spending time. [1:02:42] This is true. [1:02:43] This is a fact. [1:02:44] I'm not making this up. [1:02:45] He. [1:02:46] The President of the United States. [1:02:49] Is spending time. [1:02:50] Supergluing. [1:02:51] Gold medallions. [1:02:54] To the mantle. [1:02:55] In. [1:02:56] The Oval Office. [1:02:57] I am not. [1:02:59] Making this up. [1:03:00] He is literally. [1:03:01] Doing arts and crafts. [1:03:03] While we are fighting a war. [1:03:06] And trying to deal with. [1:03:09] Out of control prices. [1:03:10] Now. [1:03:11] Now. [1:03:14] Now. [1:03:15] Look. [1:03:16] I heard. [1:03:18] I heard. [1:03:19] The President was not happy. [1:03:21] When I. [1:03:23] I joked over the weekend. [1:03:24] That. [1:03:25] He's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a cheesecake factory. [1:03:31] And. [1:03:32] And. [1:03:35] And. [1:03:36] Well. [1:03:37] Let me get this on the record. [1:03:38] I am the father of two daughters. [1:03:41] Do you think. [1:03:43] I. [1:03:45] Could have survived their childhood. [1:03:48] Without going to the cheesecake factory. [1:03:53] I lived. [1:03:54] At Chuck E. Cheese. [1:03:55] And. [1:03:56] California Pizza Kitchen. [1:03:57] And. [1:03:59] The Cheesecake Factory. [1:04:00] That was my jam. [1:04:01] For about a decade. [1:04:03] Of course. [1:04:07] The real problem is. [1:04:08] Price has gotten so high. [1:04:09] A lot of folks. [1:04:10] Can barely. [1:04:11] Afford to go out to eat. [1:04:16] So. [1:04:17] You would think. [1:04:18] That this administration would be. [1:04:19] Spending time worrying about that. [1:04:22] But. [1:04:24] That was the interesting thing about. [1:04:26] How the administration responded to. [1:04:28] The speech I gave the other day. [1:04:30] They did not dispute. [1:04:31] What I said. [1:04:33] About them being directly responsible. [1:04:36] For rising prices. [1:04:37] They did not. [1:04:38] Argue with that. [1:04:39] They did not. [1:04:40] Deny. [1:04:41] Terrace. [1:04:42] Were contributing. [1:04:43] To higher costs. [1:04:44] For families. [1:04:45] They didn't say anything about that. [1:04:47] I accused this administration. [1:04:51] Based on the facts. [1:04:53] That they were engaging in. [1:04:55] Unprecedented levels of corruption. [1:04:57] They didn't say anything about that. [1:04:59] The president. [1:05:01] Wasn't even mad. [1:05:03] About. [1:05:04] The Saddam Hussein comparison. [1:05:06] That part didn't bother him. [1:05:09] But he was very upset. [1:05:12] About. [1:05:14] The Cheesecake Factory comments. [1:05:16] He took great umbrage. [1:05:20] He said. [1:05:25] I didn't understand. [1:05:27] The work of the artisans. [1:05:28] In the White House. [1:05:29] And they mobilized. [1:05:32] This. [1:05:33] This is. [1:05:35] This was. [1:05:36] This. [1:05:37] I mean. [1:05:38] It's all crazy. [1:05:40] But this was the really crazy part. [1:05:41] They mobilized. [1:05:42] A whole of government response. [1:05:44] To that joke. [1:05:46] Not to inflation. [1:05:47] But to that joke. [1:05:48] The. [1:05:50] The White House. [1:05:52] Even. [1:05:53] Called the Secretary of the Treasury. [1:05:55] This is the man who is in charge of the economy. [1:06:00] The person who's supposed to be. [1:06:02] Figuring out how to make your life more affordable. [1:06:04] The guy who's supposed to be. [1:06:08] Figuring out how to lower inflation. [1:06:10] And. [1:06:11] And. [1:06:12] Reduce interest rates. [1:06:13] And. [1:06:14] They told him. [1:06:15] He should. [1:06:17] Hold a press conference. [1:06:18] In. [1:06:19] Front. [1:06:20] Of. [1:06:21] The Cheesecake Factory. [1:06:24] No. [1:06:26] Y'all didn't see this. [1:06:27] This really happened. [1:06:30] And. [1:06:31] The. [1:06:34] And. [1:06:35] And. [1:06:36] The Treasury Secretary. [1:06:37] He. [1:06:38] Happens to be a former hedge fund manager. [1:06:40] Worth. [1:06:41] Half a billion dollars. [1:06:42] And he was. [1:06:43] Out there. [1:06:44] In front of the Cheesecake Factory. [1:06:46] Explaining how he ordered. [1:06:48] The delicious. [1:06:49] French. [1:06:50] Dipped cheeseburger. [1:06:51] Instead of the egg rolls. [1:07:06] Look. [1:07:07] This is not something I ever thought of. [1:07:10] Like. [1:07:11] Inherited. [1:07:12] This major financial crisis. [1:07:13] I never called my Treasury Secretary. [1:07:14] Tim Gagner. [1:07:15] Said. [1:07:17] Man. [1:07:18] You gotta go to Arby's. [1:07:22] Order roast beef. [1:07:24] No cheese though. [1:07:25] That may. [1:07:26] Look elitist. [1:07:31] What. [1:07:33] To everybody out there. [1:07:34] Including the press. [1:07:35] I want you to understand this. [1:07:38] This is what I mean when I say. [1:07:39] These are not serious people. [1:07:41] They don't have. [1:07:44] Solutions. [1:07:45] To actual problems. [1:07:47] So they'd rather have the media. [1:07:49] And you. [1:07:50] Talking about. [1:07:51] The Cheesecake Factory. [1:07:52] That's the game they've been playing for the last. [1:07:56] Two years. [1:07:57] Just keep throwing distractions out there. [1:08:00] Attacks. [1:08:01] Fabrications. [1:08:02] Phony outrage. [1:08:05] And hope that you won't notice. [1:08:07] That your bills are higher. [1:08:09] And your life is tougher. [1:08:11] Except. [1:08:13] That okie doke. [1:08:14] Will not work this time. [1:08:16] Atlanta. [1:08:17] Because you know your prices are still up. [1:08:20] Because you pay your utility bills. [1:08:23] You've seen what those are like. [1:08:25] You know it's still hard to pay rent. [1:08:27] And pay for child care. [1:08:29] And pay for health insurance. [1:08:31] And you know we need serious people. [1:08:35] Who are listening to your concerns. [1:08:37] Who see you. [1:08:38] And care about you. [1:08:40] And have real plans to make your life better. [1:08:42] People like John Ossoff. [1:08:44] People like Keisha Lance Bottoms. [1:08:46] All right. [1:08:59] Let me make this. [1:09:00] Let me also add. [1:09:01] Because I try. [1:09:04] In addition to being a fat guy. [1:09:06] I try to be fair. [1:09:07] The president is not only interested in home decorations. [1:09:11] He is very much focused on enriching himself and his family and his cronies. [1:09:17] We have never seen a president so intent on selling favors like this. [1:09:24] We have lost count of all the deals he and his family have done. [1:09:30] Mean coins. [1:09:32] Taxpayer funded contracts for his kids company. [1:09:37] The guy has made billions of dollars while in office. [1:09:41] Understand this has not been done in modern times. [1:09:48] And not a single Republican in Congress has done anything to hold him to account. [1:09:58] Has not uttered a peep. [1:10:00] Has not said a word to say that is not right. [1:10:04] That is not why we are in office. [1:10:07] You cannot trade the office of the presidency and policy that affects Americans to make yourself money. [1:10:16] That's not what we do. [1:10:18] That's what dictators in other countries do. [1:10:21] But that's not what we do. [1:10:26] When I was president, we would scold other countries when they operated like that. [1:10:33] And explain that not only is that not good for your people, it's not even good for business. [1:10:38] If you have levels of corruption and pay to play like that. [1:10:42] That's not how we're supposed to do things. [1:10:45] And nobody, not a single Republicans have said something about it. [1:10:51] Certainly not Mike Collins. [1:10:54] Not any of the Republicans on the ballot here in Georgia have said, you know what, that's not right. [1:11:00] Most of them supported him every step of the way. [1:11:04] So you remember that drain the swamp? [1:11:06] The only thing they drained is the reflecting pool in the national ball. [1:11:10] And that was because of some no bid contract that got all screwed up. [1:11:15] You know, I am old enough to remember when a president wearing a tan suit was a major national controversy. [1:11:26] They were very upset. [1:11:36] And I know I look good in that suit. [1:11:39] I know that's right. [1:11:41] I know. [1:11:42] It was tight. [1:11:55] All right. [1:11:56] All right. [1:12:01] All right. [1:12:03] All right. [1:12:04] You know. [1:12:05] But I did. [1:12:06] Now, here's the difficult reality. [1:12:15] We got two more years in this administration. [1:12:19] That's how our system of government works. [1:12:22] We're stuck with that. [1:12:23] But you know what we're not stuck with? [1:12:26] A spineless Congress and a bunch of Republican governors who are willing to enable all of the corruption and incompetence and indifference to working people. [1:12:38] We're not stuck with enabling more policies that take money out of your pocket and cut your health care and drive up inflation. [1:12:51] We're not stuck with that. [1:12:52] This election is our last best chance, at least reining him in, reining in some of the foolishness of this administration. [1:13:04] It's the circuit breaker in the system, and we need to flip it. [1:13:09] We need to start bringing some accountability to this administration, and just as important, we need to start showing the American people who are hungry for real solutions what real leadership looks like. [1:13:27] What concrete plans look like to actually lower costs and make health care more affordable and housing more affordable and get utility bills under control. [1:13:37] We can't just be against this administration's behavior. [1:13:42] We can't just say what we're against. [1:13:44] We've got to start showing them what a future on the other side of this administration can look like. [1:13:50] And it starts with you. [1:13:53] It starts with electing Keisha Lance Bottoms governor. [1:13:57] It starts with sending John Ossoff back to the United States Senate. [1:14:02] Almost, and I do say almost, I almost feel bad for the Republican opponents. [1:14:20] Almost. [1:14:22] And here's why. [1:14:24] Because after spending the last couple years signing, singing this president's praises, doing anything he has, saying how he might be the best president ever. [1:14:38] Now they're realizing that everybody's pretty upset about his broken promises. [1:14:48] So what do they do? [1:14:50] Well, they're doing what they always do, which is running all kinds of scary ads to make you think Democrats are radical and communists and that the woke police are going to ban hamburgers and make everybody eat tofu. [1:15:05] And Republicans even have a tagline, I guess, for this midterms. [1:15:13] I don't know if you've heard it. [1:15:14] They're saying Democrats, they're for crazy. [1:15:19] We're for common sense. [1:15:20] Now, let's think about this. [1:15:22] Let's talk about how they define crazy and common sense. [1:15:27] Let's have a discussion about that. [1:15:28] Because I don't think it's a common sense to pass a trillion dollar tax cut for millionaires and billionaires paid for with higher health care costs and kicking people out to Medicaid. [1:15:38] I don't think it's common sense to launch a war in Iran that everybody told them was going to drive up inflation. [1:15:47] That's not the kind of common sense Georgia needs. [1:15:50] And if you want to talk about crazy, let's take a look at what Mike Collins has been up to. [1:15:57] Not only did this guy vote with Donald Trump 100% of the time on Iran, on tariffs, on everything else. [1:16:04] He also happens to be under federal investigation by the House Ethics Committee. [1:16:10] And that's for reasons that are entirely separate from what has been called his summer of scandal after it came to light how cozy he was with white nationalists. [1:16:22] That's crazy. [1:16:27] And there's only one common sense choice in this race. [1:16:32] And that is John Ossoff. [1:16:35] And it's not just because he's so put together. [1:16:44] It's not because he looks like a Kennedy all handsome in the videos. [1:16:49] It's because he learned from his mentor and my mentor, one of the greats, John Lewis, what it means to stir up some good trouble. [1:17:05] That's what he's been doing on your behalf. [1:17:09] He exposed the abuse of Georgia's foster kids, passed the law forcing tech companies to crack down on child predators, took on the drug companies, capped the price of insulin for seniors. [1:17:22] And when you send him back to the Senate, he's going to fight to ban health insurance companies from denying coverage that patients need. [1:17:29] And he's going to repeal the tariffs that have sent prices of groceries soaring. [1:17:34] He knows we, he knows we never should have started this unnecessary war in Iran. [1:17:42] And he will fight to end it. [1:17:44] And he is going to fight for stronger voting rights protections to make sure that every single citizen has a vote and every vote is counted here in Georgia and across the United States of America. [1:18:07] And John will fight for you and Keisha Lance Bottoms will fight for you because Keisha is a committed public servant. [1:18:22] She's in it for the right reasons. [1:18:24] A smart leader with plans to build a better Georgia. [1:18:28] I have seen how much she cares about people, how deeply she understands the pain people are feeling now. [1:18:36] I know she will fight for you every day as governor because that's what she did when she was mayor. [1:18:45] Gay police officers and firefighters, a historic pay raise, balanced the budget every single year of her term without raising taxes. [1:18:53] And as governor, she'll fight to make life more affordable for Georgians. [1:18:59] She'll finally expand Medicaid, protect health care providers here, ensure that nearly 300,000 uninsured Georgians can get the care they need. [1:19:13] And as a mom of four, Keisha knows the importance of early education and she'll fight to guarantee pre-K to four year olds here in Georgia. [1:19:23] She'll cut the gas tax, let Georgia leaders waive local taxes on groceries and daily necessities like diapers and baby formula. [1:19:34] Crack down on Wall Street firms that are buying up property and jacking up the cost of homes and rents. [1:19:42] That's what Keisha will do. [1:19:45] Now, there's her billionaire Republican opponent, Rick Jackson. [1:19:49] Do not vote. [1:19:52] Vote. [1:19:54] A guy who apparently calls gas stations, gas stores. [1:20:00] I don't know where he got that. [1:20:05] You can always tell the politicians really in touch with working folk when he calls a gas station a gas store. [1:20:15] But get this. [1:20:16] This guy says he wants to be this president who's currently in the White House. [1:20:21] He says he wants to be that guy's favorite governor. [1:20:25] He says he cannot think of a single White House policy that he disagrees with. [1:20:32] Not one. [1:20:33] Not one. [1:20:34] Really? [1:20:36] Not one. [1:20:38] Can't think of anything that he thinks this president should do differently. [1:20:44] Not the ones that are making everything more expensive for people here in Georgia? [1:20:48] He doesn't want to do something different than that? [1:20:51] Not any of the policies that have made it harder for you to get by? [1:20:59] That's crazy. [1:21:02] Georgia doesn't need that kind of crazy. [1:21:05] Vote for Keisha and she's going to make sure every single day you are the top priority. [1:21:11] Not somebody in Washington. [1:21:13] The people of Georgia right here. [1:21:15] That's what she's focused on. [1:21:17] All right. [1:21:24] Now, Keisha. [1:21:25] All right. [1:21:33] Listen, these are these are unsettling times. [1:21:39] These are these are difficult times. [1:21:42] The economy is changing fast. [1:21:45] AI is here and we're going to have to have regulations in place that make sure its benefits flow to everyone, not just a few billionaires. [1:21:59] We need to revamp our education system for the new era that AI is ushering in. [1:22:08] We need to build millions of homes across this country so a new generation, young families that are coming up can afford to buy homes just like their grandparents could and their parents could. [1:22:22] We need to rein in the cost of childcare so those same young families can afford it. [1:22:28] We've got to make sure that nobody has to worry about high health care premiums. [1:22:36] We have a lot of work to do. [1:22:38] And I understand people's frustrations. [1:22:41] Look, I get the anger. [1:22:43] I get the cynicism because the system's not working the way it's supposed to. [1:22:49] Partly because of gerrymandering. [1:22:52] Partly because of laws like Citizens United that allow rich and powerful people to try and buy and sell elections like never before. [1:23:05] Hundreds of millions of dollars just pouring into elections. [1:23:09] Partly because we've got a Republican Party now that it used to stand for smaller government and now seems to stand for corrupt government or inept government or no government whatsoever. [1:23:28] And if we're honest, partly because too often, even among well-intentioned folks, including some Democrats, there are times where we get so caught up in process and bureaucracy, we don't deliver fast enough. [1:23:45] And people get frustrated because they look around and say, well, nothing's changed. [1:23:52] I'm still struggling. [1:23:53] And that's why we need serious people in Washington and state capitals. [1:24:00] These are serious times. [1:24:02] And we seem to constantly just tolerate unseriousness. [1:24:15] The people who are currently in charge, they're not doing their homework. [1:24:20] They're not doing their work. [1:24:23] They're not presenting realistic plans. [1:24:26] These are people who are more interested in performance and flexing and texting and putting people down rather than lifting them up. [1:24:39] They enjoy insulting and dividing instead of bringing people together to solve problems. [1:24:50] And look, I know we're in Atlanta. [1:24:55] And I want you all to know, Michelle has love for the real housewives. [1:25:03] But we got to keep reality TV on Bravo. [1:25:07] Leave it to the professionals. [1:25:09] We don't need it in the White House. [1:25:11] We don't need it in the governor's mansion. [1:25:14] We need people like John and Keisha in there. [1:25:20] And when you find someone like them who genuinely care about people, when you find public servants with a strong track record and who are offering real detailed solutions, people who believe public service means serving the public, then we've got to realize how precious that is. [1:25:50] And we've got to deliver for them so they can deliver for us. [1:25:54] We got to make sure we elect them governor and we elect them senator of this great state of Georgia, because they understand this election is not about them. [1:26:11] It's about you. [1:26:12] It's about we. [1:26:13] It's about us. [1:26:14] It's about us. [1:26:15] And there is one other thing they understand. [1:26:18] They understand that what ails us right now, what seems to be throwing our country off kilter so much, what's adding to the anxiety and the alienation and the mistrust. [1:26:36] It's not just about economics. [1:26:40] It's not just about prices. [1:26:43] It's about values. [1:26:45] There is a moral component to the choices we face right now. [1:26:52] We are not going to fix the system that's broken. [1:26:57] We're not going to unrig our economy so long as we've got a culture where anything goes, where people in the highest offices of the land think it's OK to lie and cheat and bully. [1:27:14] If we continue to have a culture where money is deemed the only measure of our worth. [1:27:21] And that's part of what's going on right now. [1:27:25] It just feels like collectively we've lost touch with those things that really matter in life. [1:27:33] Caring for our families, helping our neighbors, having integrity, treating others with respect, nurturing our children, witnessing their joy. [1:27:44] We need to remember the words of a 25 year old preacher who gave a sermon in 1954 where he said, [1:27:56] if we are to go forward today, we've got to go back and rediscover some mighty precious values that we've left behind. [1:28:09] And that preacher was Martin Luther King Jr. [1:28:11] And he said, we haven't learned how to be just and honest and kind and true and loving. [1:28:22] And that that is the basis of our problem. [1:28:27] And Dr. King's words are as true today as they were when he spoke them before I was born. [1:28:40] Yes, we need to lower costs and put money in people's pockets. [1:28:44] Yes, we need to end this war and the corruption in Washington. [1:28:48] But we also need to rediscover our North Star. [1:28:52] We also need to rediscover what's best in us. [1:28:58] Because if we don't return to some of those mighty precious values Dr. King was talking about, [1:29:07] we will continue to fester in anger and division. [1:29:11] And I don't know about you, but I am tired of being angry and I'm tired of being divided. [1:29:16] I want friendship and neighborliness and joy and generosity. [1:29:23] I want everybody rolling up their sleeves in the common enterprise of rebuilding America. [1:29:30] I want everybody handing our country and our world off to our kids a little better than they are right now. [1:29:38] That's what I want. That's what you want. [1:29:41] So we didn't get into this moment overnight. We're not going to get out overnight. [1:29:48] But Georgia, I also know this. This election can be a start. [1:29:55] Because if we're willing to turn out in big numbers across this state, across this country, [1:30:03] if we're willing to vote for change up and down the ballot, [1:30:07] then this election might just mark the moment when we begin to leave our worst impulses behind [1:30:15] and start aligning our politics with our highest ideas. [1:30:21] So I'm asking you right now, are you fired up? Are you ready to go? [1:30:27] Let's go make Keisha Lancebottom the next governor of Georgia. [1:30:32] Let's go reelect your outstanding senator, John Ossoff. [1:30:37] Let's go get on the path to making this country everything that it can be. [1:30:45] Thank you. God bless you. And may God bless the United States of America. Come on.
