[0:00] all right guys injuries from the game debo samuel had a hamstring never returned cowing had an ankle [0:05] returned um kareem had a stinger returned go ahead um did have a lot of options but gave one [0:17] to mike evans and gave one to renardo um i mean the way the game went i mean emotions only build [0:31] i mean there was all the turnovers in the game all the back and forth a lot of good things in [0:35] the game a lot of bad things like it was just uh i'm going against a good team like that in [0:39] that environment i mean emotions only get higher and higher as it goes and it's a really tough win [0:44] by no means is everything perfect but i just thought the grit of the guys and in all three [0:49] phases just they never wavered they stayed locked in kept the focus never freaked out once a bad [0:53] thing happened and found a way to get it done at the end now that's exactly it i mean that was the [1:10] one drive that got us going i think i was like 12 plays or something and we had overcome a few penalties [1:15] i don't know if there's a sack but we had a we were not in good down in distance on a number of them [1:19] i think it was just penalties and mike and brock to be able to get us back and there were some [1:23] explosives and be able to get in the end zone was was huge that's exactly why i was here [1:27] i thought the d was unbelievable today i mean to get us those four turnovers um it was a difference [1:36] in winning and losing today to be able to get the points off those turnovers um i thought they [1:40] eliminated their explosives um defended the run well um overcome losing green law early which losing a [1:46] great player and a guy who just emotionally like our team feels him and um for our guys not to [1:51] waver at all that duggar did awesome job stepping it up and so did the rest of the guys on the field [1:55] so it was huge uh looked like a hell of a oh i i just saw the ball come out i'm not exactly sure [2:04] what he how he got it done um i was so upset that um we lost a yard on the third down the play before [2:11] we were right at the break of where we could kick a field goal and um then we lost it and just put us [2:15] out of that and i was so upset about that and it quickly ended up being the best thing to happen [2:20] because you don't see that much and to make a play there on the one and get a seven [2:23] um before the half was huge um i mean i thought brock did an unbelievable job finding a way there [2:30] to win at the end um that's one of the best defenses in the league one of the best defenses [2:35] over these last few years um and there were some ups and downs by no means was everything perfect [2:40] but i thought he was really good in the fourth quarter and there's a lot of times when something [2:44] wasn't there and he made some plays and a hell of a game by brock no not at all i didn't totally see [2:52] it i was told um but that's how it is you're gonna get baited big time when especially when you're on [2:57] their bench um they're gonna get clothed and they told me that he headbutted a guy [3:01] um without a helmet so if that's exactly what happened then um then yeah we gotta be a lot [3:07] smarter than that can't do that no we just celebrated there we'll clean that stuff up tomorrow [3:14] um but he knows it's gotta be smart um not really it's it's a different year i mean you always think [3:31] about stuff last time you played somebody and things like that but i mean that was just a rough [3:35] way to end last year and then your season's over after that so you can't do anything about it and [3:40] you spend all off season trying to build your team back and get your team going and uh yeah [3:44] that was the last time we played them but we see it's a totally different year for both teams and [3:48] um you know we beat them the first time we played them last year when we came up here [3:52] um and then we lost the next two so it's a long season love how we've started loved how the guys [3:57] played with grit today um we're definitely seeing them at least one more time um so we'll see what [4:01] happens throughout the rest of the year i think we got a bunch of warriors um just i mean everyone knows the [4:10] the talent and the stars of some of the guys on our team but um just what makes our guys special [4:15] is just how much they love football how much they give it up every week um i never have to really get [4:20] our guys going and ask them to work harder it means as much to them as anybody have been around and [4:24] um they're sprinkled throughout our whole team those guys grind um they're not always they're not [4:28] looking for stats they're not looking for to get the praise those guys just want to win and they [4:32] wanted to win today big and they deserved it you know i mean i mean from what i saw watching it [4:46] it looked like they stepped it up a number of times i mean just the guys you mentioned i saw [4:49] them make a number of plays today and um if that doesn't happen when especially when you lose a guy [4:54] like dre and you know dugger starting a base but having to come and play that much when nickel with [4:59] dre going out i mean grayson was losing some of the d linemen we've had um michael with his first game [5:04] back i mean it's it's really hard to win a game in that situation if those guys don't step it up and [5:10] they've been stepping up huge he's i mean i think renardo ceiling is very high i think he can be a [5:23] very good corner in this league and um he is showing that i mean he was big time today it [5:27] wasn't just the two picks but stopping um the slant there at the end when they're right in that field [5:33] goal range area was huge he's been playing so smart and to get his hand on the ball today and [5:38] it's what we've seen every day from him since he got back in april or may and for him to keep working [5:43] and continue it for this long already and i know he's just getting started uh yeah he got sick last [5:51] night got some flu symptoms and stuff so um loved him battling to get out there and go you can ask [5:56] him how much it affect him but i think you guys know how that is he felt like today and um but did [6:01] a hell of a job getting out there getting ready for the game and helping us win no don't know yet uh [6:19] yeah that then that's how almost most of the plays are um you just you just can't go there all the time [6:24] and there's two people on them a lot and things like that and um but a lot of the plays have that all [6:29] stuff built in and when you get the right looks and brock can recognize it um he goes there and [6:34] uh he did it a lot today you know they do a really good job with their coverages um when to take people [6:39] away and stuff like that but every time the time they didn't i feel like brock found it and um mike [6:44] rewarded him for it i thought they battled i thought they did a pretty good job i mean i always got to see [6:51] the film and stuff and each play and everything but i thought there was a number of times that we had [6:55] time to throw i mean that defense the line is really tough to have time to throw against and i thought we did [7:00] it a number of times and of course they beat us on on a few and um expected that to happen at times but [7:06] uh i loved how they played today and i thought they blocked real well in the run game too [7:14] he was unbelievable two weeks in a row i thought he was huge last week um versus denver and i thought [7:18] he was huge this week um when we had to play the field position game a ton and um he's probably another [7:24] guy i could have given game ball too um probably the same thing you guys saw he's a missile out there [7:36] doesn't ever break stride goes through people he's a physical presence out there that he's done a real [7:41] good job in the past game too um malik had a tough injuries coming back from and he's been doing [7:47] each week he stayed patient and got his opportunity today with seagull being down to play the whole [7:52] game and he did what we all expect because malik's a real good player uh yes um i haven't got an update [8:12] i'll play one for you guys tomorrow um but i don't think he's coming back this week it's what i'm here [8:23] for you know nothing's really promised in this game and if you're available to play and go out there for [8:30] your team and try to do your best to help get a win i mean that's what i'm gonna do and that's [8:34] what a lot of guys on this team have been doing you know playing through injuries and you know [8:37] putting it all out there actually the ribs were way better this week way better doctors and trainers [8:48] did a great job this week of managing me and making sure i'm getting better each week [8:56] yeah a little taller than all got to got to [9:04] what was it i mean i was blocking him into the whistle and he says something like i'm doing [9:21] extra or something like that and i didn't i didn't know that was him at first because i played against [9:26] him a few times and we always been cool you know he was he was a good player and uh i didn't i honestly [9:32] didn't know it was him because in the helmet it's hard to tell sometimes and no we were just we were [9:37] talking trash and um i think i like pushed him and he and then i was like who are you and i look make sure i always [9:44] digs and then he like and then he he mushed me it should have been a penalty but yeah i mean it is [9:53] what it is i mean i've been in the league a long time and uh we were trying to get in field goal [10:03] range so i mean i do feel like you know i'm one of the best receivers in the game and um you know hurt [10:19] or not i mean i'm out there and everybody's playing through injuries so and i got a big frame so if you [10:24] throw it around me you know i'm gonna do my best to try to you know make those contested grabs yeah i mean [10:39] obviously um we have a great team and this is a great organization and uh i want to come here [10:47] for moments like this obviously but just to be a asset to this team you know no matter who we're [10:52] playing it was a good atmosphere um my last time playing here i think it was louder uh back in 2019 [11:03] um it's definitely it was loud great environment but i don't think it was the loudest that i've been a part [11:09] of yeah i mean yeah that's that's why this game is so great you know the the robberies the the talking [11:15] trash the physicality that's why people love this game that's the reason why i love it too one of the [11:20] reasons yeah absolutely when when they said uh cooper cup was short on the first down it kind of felt [11:31] like we were at home for a second like it got so loud that was one of the louder parts of the game [11:35] um so shout out to the faithful that's good i don't know i think it's because i used to do that [11:50] to people and it came back to me like i would always when i first got in the league i was called [11:54] people by their full name and i think it's just like karma i think i don't know but i'm mike evans [12:01] that's my name so thank y'all yeah he's a difference maker you know he's a spark he's you know [12:14] everything you would ever want in a receiver uh he's tough it's really cool when you get new guys [12:19] that come in and they just continue to up the standard that the niners have built for so long [12:24] so glad he's on our team yeah definitely i think uh you know when when your numbers call it in big [12:53] moments like that not just mike but brock um you know fearless going down there i mean obviously that's [12:59] a good team so just to stick with it to not get too high and not get too low and for our offense to [13:03] continue um continue to just play that was awesome our division wins are big obviously um [13:19] for us though i think i love our team's mindset because you know we've been here before we've been [13:23] five and oh and then went into the bye five and three and so uh we're more worried about just [13:30] continuing to get better every day that's what i love about this team scoreboard is going to say [13:33] whatever the scoreboard says but if we can just continue to capitalize on the things we're doing [13:38] well and fix our mistakes um you know we'll see at the end but but that's what i love i love this [13:43] mentality of this team the grit of this team and just proud to be a part of it yeah i think uh it's [13:57] always um those are all natural emotions i mean obviously there's there's emotion there's history [14:03] uh it's a division opponent but it's also an opponent that you got a past with so yeah there's [14:08] obviously emotions that go into it i think the challenge is not letting the emotions get the best of [14:12] you and so that's where um you just still have to go out there and play football listen the the the [14:31] too small gesture that's still that's that's the pg version of of a football game like that so it's [14:37] i mean look it's those are two teams that don't like each other at all and that's what makes it fun [14:55] yeah it's huge man to again just the the depth and the ability to step up in big moments um is [15:02] something that you can't take for granted that's a huge deal and so uh super proud of those guys and [15:08] again just uh it's another example of the standard being set by a bunch of vets who um lead the right [15:14] way yeah it's always tough there's there's certain things that he does um that again i think people [15:32] take for granted uh whether it's motioning timing um angles on blocks angles on routes uh things that [15:39] really affect a defense and you know this week we put a lot on luke and i thought he did a great job [15:44] the whole game it's it's definitely not an easy position to learn mentally so to step up and [15:48] uh to not just do his job well but but uh to be a force it was awesome for us a couple more there's [16:02] a few yeah yeah i mean obviously he's a game changer um true ex-receiver that you know if you get the [16:20] right look and stuff and you give him a chance um he can make defenses pay and uh you know i thought [16:26] today he did a great job with that going up and getting the ball multiple times um and just using his [16:31] length and everything too to create some separation and stuff so as a quarterback man like anytime i have an [16:35] opt to go to him i'm i'm always like it always feels good and so um you know he came in the [16:41] clutch for us there at the end the beginning of the game the third down conversion the touchdown like [16:45] he's he's a baller man he's a hall of famer obviously so uh yeah basically the same thing [16:55] once i saw uh he was one-on-one i was all right we gotta opt to hit him on a go ball here um in that [17:01] situation obviously being way behind the chains i was like you know here's our one-on-one shot we got we [17:06] got to capitalize on it and um so for me i just came a chance you know threw it up back shoulder [17:12] and he made he made the rest happen so yeah um i mean i think the way kyle called the the drive there [17:39] uh sort of would answer your question than that with hey we got to get mike the ball here obviously um but [17:45] i think you know the other guys that come in for me i'm not thinking like oh shoot because i i don't [17:51] have my starting two other receivers here i'm not going to think about the next guys in it has nothing to do [17:55] with that um i think my antenna is up a little bit like all right this play is designed for the x to [18:00] get the wall here for mike if it's there and uh you know rip it when it's there and if not i'm gonna [18:05] i'm gonna get to my outlets and get to my other guys so um that's sort of the process and thinking [18:10] behind it but um you know the fact that mike you know just continue to to thug it out there with his [18:16] body and everything that he's going through man i just thought that was encouraged really encouraging in [18:20] itself so for sure i think you know just this environment you know everything that people talk [18:32] about it's it's real here with uh coming in here and um they're passionate they love their team and [18:37] stuff and you know for us to come in here it really does feel like backs against the wall and stuff um [18:42] but at the same time like it feels really cool to you know hear our 49er faithful crowd right behind [18:47] us when we do make plays and stuff like you can feel them there too so um but yeah really cool place to [18:52] play yeah um you know i think you know post snap as i get the ball and drop back and stuff like you [19:06] could tell if he's going to be double teamed or not just with safety help over the top um you know [19:12] some of those big ball the the plays that we made were because he had one-on-one matchups and they [19:16] didn't double them and so um i thought you know we made him pay in that regard so but outside of that [19:22] like yeah defenses are going to try to do what they do and scheme up a really good x receiver especially [19:26] like mike so um i i can feel it as a quarterback for sure um i mean yeah i think kyle does a good [19:45] job with making sure you know we do things to break tendencies and try to get the defense into a certain [19:50] um look um also how the game's going and the flow of how he thinks the other coordinator is going to [19:55] call something and and uh you know draw something up for either mike or other guys um so kyle does a [20:01] good job with that but um at the end of the day too like for me like playing with a new receiver like mike [20:06] um there's gonna be times where he's doubled but still like sticking with it and giving him a chance [20:10] and stuff like that's something that i've had to learn too uh as a quarterback so um i don't know [20:15] it's it's obviously great you know having a guy like mike so that he brings all that extra stress [20:20] to the defense and their game planning and stuff but um i think it was cool that we still found a way [20:24] to make him pay today for sure yeah obviously being smart not just throwing it up but like there's [20:39] times where he's doubled but he still wins and i mean that's just a credit to how crazy of a player he is [20:44] so um you know for me like watching film and getting reps together and stuff and and building [20:49] on those kind of looks and sticking with them so what happened but yeah i didn't even know that so [21:08] yeah thanks thanks for letting me know yeah uh obviously not no we just got to keep playing [21:14] four quarter game and i don't know go find a way to win that's a great question um dude he's a dog [21:27] that's all i could say like he fights through stuff um he's competitive as heck and he's gonna go out [21:33] there and obviously give the team every chance um or everything that he's got even if he's going [21:38] through stuff so i mean we saw that obviously the last couple weeks with him playing sort of injured [21:43] and even today um and it's early in the season like for a guy like him and and where he's at in his [21:49] career to keep showing up for the team man and myself um being out there man it's it's like it's [21:55] just a testament to his character and who he is man so extremely blessed to have him on our team and [21:59] excited for the rest of the year together man i'm seeing uh just really stepping up honestly right [22:10] not not allowing the moment to be too big and uh just really hunkering down um making the plays [22:15] when they're there talk about grace and making that play uh before the half um obviously dugger [22:21] coming in having to play a lot of minutes unexpectedly and uh you know i can go on and [22:25] on but it's been amazing to see just us continue to fight and battle and and grow every single week [22:30] uh through the chaos of it all and um obviously happy with the result yeah yeah yeah that's what [22:41] we expected though honestly like it was going to be a heavyweight bout right um seattle they're the [22:47] they're the guys who won it all last year and they're the ones that you had to go through [22:51] we understand the problem that they present especially with their defense and how how good they [22:56] are and um you know the turnovers back and forth those were a big part of the game and um yeah but we [23:04] at the end of the day we made the ones that counted at the end the coolest uh just uh amazing [23:23] just a aura just a walking aura no i mean i can't help it like i'm on the sideline watching [23:30] do crazy stuff i'm like we have mike evans like i can't believe it and uh he's unreal he's unreal he [23:36] literally doesn't say anything he just shows up every week and just works and then goes out there [23:41] on sunday and just dominates you so uh it's unbelievable he's great i saw it online just now yeah [23:50] it was great that was fantastic yeah i think you definitely appreciate it when you play alongside [23:59] him and he's on your side i mean you know that he's a hall of fame receiver when we when we signed [24:04] him but like just the hunger and i think that just that's the character of our entire team is like [24:10] worse people kind of slipped on our talent all along going into this year but like we got guys who are [24:15] ultra talented but also could care less about what we've done in the past like we still are so eager to [24:19] try to go out there and prove it every single time we step out there so it's like you see that on the [24:24] tape you feel that in game um and mike's just he's the epitome of that yeah i mean everything just [24:40] kind of slows down it's like slow motion you know every play counts and um you know even if you went [24:46] on third down you know you got to win again on fourth down and that moment where cub uh caught that [24:51] ball out there and yeah you know it gave a great effort to try to get over the sticks but watching [24:57] that ref kind of just go over there and point pointing our direction on their sideline was like [25:01] can't beat that you know i was trying i was honestly staying out there ready to go if they [25:05] were to give it to them anyway but um winning winning it on defense was was special i mean i [25:19] think you guys see it like i i practice it every day everything i do um so that way when we're in [25:26] those games i really don't think about it much it just it just comes when you know a lot of the time [25:32] it's obviously like a right-handed punch because i'm i'm a righty but um coming left to right ball [25:38] carries holding it loose um and that specific moment we had him backed up and i really had it [25:43] on my mind so i was happy to be able to get that one and obviously a lot of it turned into points [25:47] afterward yeah no of course i mean i'm i'm in the moment i'm i'm mad that i'm not closer to try to [26:02] help him out right i try to get there as fast as i could i was too far away um you know he's helpless [26:07] in that situation he's all by himself on their sideline of course they're they're trying they're [26:11] you know trying to gang up on them and uh you know get on them for baiting them into doing something [26:17] right um but we know we got to be smart in all those situations and i thought i thought dre tried [26:23] for the most part but it's just a it's just an unfortunate situation uh let's see what was he [26:32] doing at halftime you know he's just dre i think he was telling me that i'm that i'm that guy because [26:39] of the force fumble yeah so um you know we're five and oh we've we've uh we found a way to win every [26:57] game and at the end of the day the goal is to continue to just be on the rise right like we're not [27:04] satisfied with just winning like of course you want to win every game but like the goal is to [27:09] continue to get better as the season goes i think that sets you up for the best chance to go do what [27:13] you want to do at the end but um yeah i'm really proud of the group today was special it was fun [27:26] yeah i mean you got to think about just the adversity that we've we've kind of fought through [27:30] right i mean you you go back you look at the guys who were penciled in to be our day one starting [27:35] defensive line and they were all out right day one and you know aside from bosa and then bosa gets hurt [27:41] and so you lose him and uh you're looking at man like what's what's the defense going to be and [27:46] you just can't speak to how how important those guys who have stepped in those roles and played [27:51] big time and still be able to to produce those pressures and getting after the quarterback and [27:55] playing style in the run game um our our back end is super young but they're they're out there [28:01] fighting and scrapping and finding ways to take the ball away i mean you can't like what else are you [28:05] going to ask for so um we we're far from a finished product and i said all along we're never we're not [28:10] going to be a finished product we're going to continue to get better and look at it hard um [28:14] and keep trying to win the rookies today and the young defensive guys grabbing sacks halton big game [28:20] what can you say about your draft class i mean we just came in ready to work i mean try to take [28:25] advantage of our opportunities so whenever we have those i mean we just want to capitalize so it was [28:28] great what did you think of halton's fumble and the recovery i didn't even see it happen in real [28:34] time but i just got up and seen him dancing so i was just laughing but it was a great play what do you [28:38] think of his celebration i gotta watch it back i couldn't really see but it was funny [28:43] what would you describe that as the craziest game that you've played in the nfl thus far [28:48] for sure i mean it was crazy i mean i'm getting a little nervous there at the end i mean [28:53] just happy to come out with the win for sure what's the learning lesson that you take away from a game [28:58] like that where there's so many lead changes and it comes down to the end i mean just be ready for your [29:02] opportunity i mean we've seen we had dra go out so we had to step up and just uh do what they was [29:09] asking me to do so i mean it was a big time win what have you seen from renardo green there's three [29:14] interceptions on this defense and he's got all of them i mean he's a great corner young guy so i mean [29:18] it's great out there seeing him i mean knowing you have those guys behind you like that allows you to [29:22] play a lot more aggressive so i'm blessed to have behind me for sure i mean listen we just really [29:32] got to play the next play i think the story of this whole team is just next man up don't don't [29:37] don't break and we just got to keep playing keep fighting and be resilient for [29:40] um no we're again just laser focused trying to play our game it's going to come fred's been knocking [29:51] the ball out all season so it finally just started turning our way paul dougar values all the young [29:58] guys that stepped up so big today what can you say about them oh again we we got the utmost confidence [30:03] g's been playing crazy c bass he's been he's been really stepping up big and really making the most [30:08] of his moment bro and doug doug doug is going to be a great player in this league so we really shout [30:14] out to john for drafting and really good uh young guys and then shout out to them for stepping up [30:18] what do you think of halton celebration listen we got to work on my rookie it's like nah he's having [30:25] a good time he's high energy and everything like that and we just love love him being himself [30:29] we just got to go next guy up uh so we show we just we just keep playing our game and keep being [30:40] disciplined you can't really feed into the chippiness and then and just keep playing but [30:45] dre's a great player and it'll be great to have him back next year [30:48] with all the injuries that happened to the wide receivers on the offensive side what's it mean to have [30:52] a guy like mike devins who consistently made clutch player i mean mike's a dog mike's been doing it his [30:58] whole career so like i'm not even surprised at this point he's just doing it now for a different [31:02] team so shout out to shout out to mike [31:12] i didn't even see that that's actually kind of funny listen again we can't feed into the [31:16] chippiness you just got to go out there and play the game and let the let the game speak for itself [31:19] for real what have you noticed from renardo green in history from last year this year oh man i don't [31:25] know nothing that goes on behind me so that they take care of yourself all i worry about is what [31:29] happens between the tackle and the other time [31:37] oh man we knew the the bad taste we had on our mouth from last year for last season and um even [31:43] the new guys and everyone that was here last year we all knew what this game meant to us and we didn't [31:48] you know treat it like you know we got to play like superstars we just were detailed in our assignments and [31:53] you know we're playing our identity of football and that's what got us our w too [32:01] man they're great they've been bought in ever since they stepped foot on on in santa clara so [32:06] i'm just so happy for those guys and just see them progressing and it's only going to be up from here [32:12] oh it was great i was right there with him yeah yeah i knew he he's he's he's probably the silly [32:16] king right now in our defense so it's always you know he just brings the juice every time he [32:20] steps out there so it was just great to see [32:27] yeah like we knew next man up we gotta step up you know it doesn't change our mission and our goal [32:31] so we know that gray is like one of the engines of our defense but at the end of the day we're all [32:36] bought in and whoever's out there is out there being it doesn't matter if you're back up whatever [32:41] as soon as you step on the field you're a starter so you know you just get out there and do your [32:44] assignment and you know try not to be the weak link everyone's bought in everyone's rallying and you [32:49] know no one's missing the step yeah yeah yeah it was dope [33:01] yeah those guys are my boys man it's just it's great to see you know luke is not only the heart [33:06] one of the hearts of our special teams unit but he's able to play on defense and being able to [33:11] you know be dialed in on his assignment as well so he's just one of the true vets for sure and then [33:17] dug it you know like he's just a special kid for sure and you know he's just gonna keep progressing [33:22] the way he's supposed to he's going to be one of one of the good players in this league for sure [33:34] oh yeah we told him in the back end that hey we got him so trust me we all cover him i just need [33:38] y'all to get back there and then you know ken is one of my boys too so you know seeing them out [33:42] there balling so it's just great he's he's been having a hell of a season so far [33:50] oh yeah it's like credit cenardo man he's so he's such a lockdown corner and like people don't know [33:57] that he's also locked in playing the ball not just swatting the ball but he can get picks too and i'm [34:02] just glad he was able to showcase today you know that's been my dog since we stepped on here as rookies [34:06] you know he's he's just gonna keep shining for sure you guys obviously the defense played well [34:12] first couple weeks but does it feel like this is maybe a proven performance to the rest of the world [34:16] to show what you guys can do i don't think we have to prove it to anybody but ourselves you know every [34:22] time we step on the field it's all about us you know when we're out there it wasn't about you know [34:26] even fred told us it wasn't about winning the game it's about playing our identity of football [34:30] you know whatever the outcome is the outcome as long as we play to our standard that's what's going to [34:33] help us you know get what we wanted for this game so you know it's it's definitely maybe something in [34:39] the back of our mind but it's always about us we're doing those white lines what was kyle's message [34:44] what was gay i mean he was just proud of us how how gritty we were how we rallied how we're able to [34:49] pick up you know there's times offense gets us there's times defense we're going to help the [34:53] offense so just being able to play a team-oriented style of football which is great for us what can you [34:58] say about your pass rush being able to do what they did especially in the first half without [35:02] nick nick nick has obviously come back yeah i mean we just it just shows you that we got ballers [35:06] everywhere you know there's guys that are able to you know know that we're we're lacking one of [35:11] our leaders but you know what is what is going to be the now what is it going to be sit back and wait [35:16] for our captain to get back or people are going to step up and you just see across the board how [35:21] everyone is just stepping up and and playing you know at an extraordinary level so it's just like i said [35:26] it's going to be only up from here so first of all this environment was pretty crazy this year [35:34] yeah this year for sure felt like it always do you know 12 man showed up but shout out to the faithful [35:41] there's a lot of red in the crowd and you know the defense chat that was pretty loud so you know but [35:48] we expected it coming in here yeah what do you say about behind you all the fame mike i don't know [35:55] what you want me to say that's what we expected that's why you're here right for sure like i said [36:09] he's a hall of fame player champion and you know um it doesn't surprise anybody and then your guy uh [36:17] crazy halton yeah g baby man i told him you got we can't do this without him um he's gonna be a [36:23] heck of a player in this league for a long time to come you know um just a supreme talent boomer soon [36:29] i mean all the young guys too jayden duggar stepped up as well and what can you say about this young [36:34] jayden duggar and auto and we have a really young defense but them guys are far around um you know we [36:44] got the young nucleus um you know a few young players on this on that side and you know um led by [36:52] you know all all whatever fred is you know it's all everything so um that defense is a sneaky good [36:59] defense and um you know to keep holding that offense to three that's what gave us a chance to [37:05] win past two weeks it wasn't just today with some of those young guys that were talking about yeah did [37:13] you see that coming especially since they don't have a nigger right now i can't say i've seen it [37:18] coming but i mean you see 94 you see him coming on you see how many plays how close he is to affecting [37:25] the game every week um you know we miss him for a couple weeks there but um him like we mentioned [37:32] before g baby um you know getting michael back in the fold keyon has been playing lights out [37:40] and at d-line it is you know there's not a lot of household names so to speak outside of bosa but [37:46] the way they play they play like their hair on fire man it's that's a very special group [37:50] and the energy and the energy and the energy on the defense still up there yeah for sure um shout [37:59] out to duggar um stepping up you know obviously we we love to have dre uh emotions run high though [38:07] things happen but shout out duggar shout out uh ryan shout out kj for keeping the boys ready to go [38:14] switching their positions and you know the defense didn't didn't it didn't take a step back or nothing [38:19] just kept going how difficult can it be for teams to keep composure after a situation like dre's in [38:24] this kind of environment uh depends um we we're an experienced group so we've been we've been through [38:31] the ringer nothing nothing is going to get us rattled or anything like that um you know obviously we love [38:37] to have dre but things happen we got to have his back you guys have had some wild games here uh some big [38:43] victories obviously the loss last year in the playoffs but um you really enjoy this rivalry more than [38:50] anything players play every year yeah i love being in this environment um you know in in this division [38:58] it's a few a couple teams that you know us the rams obviously the seahawks and you know it's it's a [39:07] like a triangle rivalry you know and so being in any any one of them environments to come in and [39:12] getting the win it's always feel better than normal and the fact that you're five and oh and three of those [39:17] wins wanting against each division rival how important is that for your ultimate goal and do [39:21] you guys talk about that knowing that no i don't talk about it to me it's too early to start like [39:27] looking at records and things and you know like 13 7 12 games left so everything can change in a [39:34] matter of two weeks so trying to hang your hat on things that you've done early in the season i don't [39:39] think it helps you out is there more talking in this game between you two these two teams than [39:44] other seasons tell me i don't know probably a lot of talking going on but it's what it is [39:52] mike had a moment where he kind of spun a guy around and pointed out his name plate like [39:56] yeah what does it say about his fire out there uh it's pretty funny that's what it says and uh yeah [40:02] mike plays with an edge he plays with a huge edge something that you wouldn't expect a receiver to have [40:06] you know but that was pretty funny grayson can you take me through the fumble in the end zone and [40:13] jumping on that um yeah i just um knew i had to get off the ball and uh i felt my hand like touch the [40:20] ball and um as i felt the ground i just heard people screaming and i turned around and the ball's [40:26] right there on the ground i just got on it and you know all my emotions took over after that so you [40:32] know it was a great great opportunity great experience and just want to give all glory to god and you [40:37] know my teammates were you all surprised that the ball was right there yeah i was surprised you [40:41] know i and all i heard was a crowd you know they were loud and uh i just flip around you know just [40:47] to see what's going on and i just see the ball right there and uh i just got on it you guys have the [40:52] meetings every week to create turnovers and stuff is it emphasized even more this week i'm obviously [40:56] you guys knocked out some got some interceptions yeah no doubt that's the that's the mindset every [41:01] week we got it we got to create turnovers and um you know turnovers and sacks you know that's what wins [41:07] games and uh you know we got to have that we have that mindset every week you know we could be dogs [41:11] dog pound what was your first thing here how would you describe the atmosphere and the women coming out [41:17] of the wind oh yeah it was the best thing ever i've never been in a stadium like that um and uh it's [41:24] different you know your ears you know echoing and everything you just see everybody all the way at the [41:29] top like i don't even think i seen one uh empty seat so it was crazy but a great experience first fumble [41:37] first sack first touchdown all in one game you kind of ripped the band-aid off how special will this [41:41] be to you it'll be really special um you know i'll take it take it all in today and uh you know [41:47] erase it by tomorrow and you know get right back get ready and you know just keep on stacking days [41:52] you get your touchdown ball i know sir no where you go it's all good it's all good though you got a [41:57] touchdown dance oh yeah definitely that was you working on that in the locker room [42:01] yeah that was just you know emotions just taking over it seems this past rush has really responded [42:10] since nick went down especially the past two weeks he might be coming back soon but [42:15] you guys can take this to a whole other level still oh yeah no doubt you know we got some things to work [42:20] on but you know we just got to keep on getting better keep on stacking days but we got the right [42:24] group of guys and you know we got some dogs i mean no doubt uh we we felt the same way dre did you [42:36] know no matter what if it was dre if it was me on there i would do the same thing so you know we that's just what came out of my [43:04] body keon had a he pushed back the right tackle lucas on on your play the touchdown it seems that [43:10] he's been really good at a bunch of different spots this year for you guys as you've had these injuries [43:15] can you speak to how tough that that is for defensive linemen to excel the way he does [43:19] guys i'm inside and outside yeah i mean he's done a great job you know he's a baller so we can put [43:24] him anywhere on the field like you know he's going to exceed at it and um you know just him being a [43:29] vet you know he he's been around the game so you know just him making plays i'm sure there's nothing [43:33] new for him trent williams has been a complimentary of your play what does it feel like you have a [43:38] guy like his caliber yeah that's my big brother right there man you know i looked up to him you [43:45] know i've been uh looking up up to him ever since i was in middle school and you know to just be on
