[0:12] Mr. President, you pushed redistricting, and after some really big wins in courts, [0:16] including the Supreme Court, contested districts are now tilting to Republicans. [0:21] It looks like they've picked up a number of seats, at least on paper. [0:25] Do you think that that makes the difference in holding the House? [0:28] Well, it helps. I mean, I don't know the difference. [0:30] I think a bigger difference would be if I win quickly as opposed to after, [0:38] but, again, I'm not going to let the election determine what's going to happen with respect to Iran, [0:44] because they cannot have a nuclear weapon. Okay. [0:47] But a bigger difference would be if that price went down. [0:51] Look, prices are down, but the energy caused it to go up. [0:55] And I said to my people, I hate to do this to you, but I'm going to screw up your numbers for a little while [1:00] because we have to stop the nuclear weapon stuff with Iran because they're nuts. [1:04] They're sick people. Even if they weren't sick, you wouldn't want it to happen. [1:08] But they're crazy. We're going to take a little curve. [1:11] We're going to take, we're going to diverge down the pike, and we're going to hit them, [1:15] and we're going to stop them. And essentially, we have really put them on hold. [1:20] We'll do it as quickly as we can. I call it a little pain. [1:23] Look, I agree. The oil goes up, but it's going to come down lower than it was. [1:29] It'll be down lower than it was. Now, speed. I hate to talk about speed. [1:34] I understand. Because I don't like putting pressure on all of the people. [1:39] I want to do the job right. If it takes an extra four weeks. But think of it. [1:45] We're in Vietnam for 19 years. I'm here. I'm doing this for two, two and a half months. [1:49] There are people on one side that say, well, let's go again. Let's finish the job. Let's keep going. [1:56] I have two sides. [1:56] There's people on the other side say, let's get out. [2:00] All good people. [2:01] November is coming. The approval is upside down. [2:04] I think. [2:04] You're not on the ballot. But do you think that this war and this moment is going to affect [2:09] your ability to hold the House in center? [2:11] So yesterday, they had 18 elections. I won all 18. Everybody I endorsed won. [2:17] And two weeks ago, at a very big event, Indiana had like eight people that had never lost an election. [2:27] Some weren't for 25 years. They had a 40-point lead. But they didn't want to do our... [2:32] They didn't want to give some additional people in Congress. Very simple. [2:36] Redistricting. [2:36] And I said, you know what? If they don't want to redistrict, they're really... They're not for us. [2:44] And I ran candidates that nobody ever heard of, but good people. And everyone won, other than one [2:49] because two or three people ran. Actually, it was very smart. But I won every one of them. [2:55] CNN did a poll recently that said, I'm 100% approval in the Republican Party with MAGA, [3:02] which is most of the Republican Party. So I think it's almost all of it now, actually. [3:07] I'm at 100%. And Harry, whatever his name is... [3:11] Endin. [3:12] Nice guy. Harry Endin. [3:14] Was jumping up and down saying... [3:15] But you think you're going to win the midterms? [3:17] I don't know. I don't know. I can't tell you because... A couple of factors. [3:21] They got to pass the Save America Act. I really believe that's important. [3:25] Because the Democrats cheat. This will keep them from cheating. It'll make it much harder for them to cheat. [3:31] Without cheating, they can't win. [3:32] Because they have things like open borders where criminals can pour into your country. [3:37] Men playing in women's sports are ridiculous. These are 98% issues. [3:41] You know, the fake news says, oh, these are 80-20. They're not 80-20. [3:47] Transgender mutilization of your child. These are the things that they support. [3:52] So the one negative, and nobody can explain it, every president, Republican or Democrat, [3:57] who wins the election, even if you win by a lot. [4:01] I won in a landslide. I won every swing state. [4:05] Even if you win a lot. And even if you do a good job. [4:08] And everyone says, look, we have the best... [4:09] We have the highest stock market price ever. [4:11] All of the things that I went over before. [4:13] We have the best employment in the history of our country. [4:16] But even if you have a good president who's done a good job, they always lose the midterms. [4:20] On Cuba. You said Cuba is hurting and ready to make a deal. [4:24] The CIA director was there Thursday. [4:27] China's been active there. [4:28] They've had a deal with Cuba about renewed energy, a renewable energy project. [4:33] They're not there anymore. [4:35] 92 solar farms. [4:37] They're not there anymore. [4:38] So is Cuba going to turn to us and make a deal? [4:41] I think so. I mean, look, I've been hearing about Cuba since I'm a little boy. [4:45] They've been saying, what's going on with Cuba? [4:47] And I think we'll be turning it. [4:48] Marco's been very effective. [4:50] And the whole group has been very effective. [4:53] It's, yeah, I think they're going to have to come to us. [4:55] It's a failed nation. [4:57] It's a totally failed nation. [4:58] And they're taking the aid now. [5:00] They're taking the aid. They want aid. [5:02] They need help. [5:03] They need help. [5:04] I think about all those Cubans. [5:06] Ninety-four percent voted for me. [5:08] The ones that were thrown out. [5:11] Families were killed. [5:12] Exiled. [5:13] Very violent. [5:13] And they're living in our country right now. [5:16] And they, I have never seen people happier than them. [5:20] They said, this is what we voted for. [5:23] I think about those people. [5:24] Maybe I think about them first. [5:26] But I think about the people in Cuba. [5:28] And, you know, the people living here, they want to go back and they want to invest in Cuba. [5:32] They want to bring Cuba back, et cetera, et cetera. [5:34] It's a good thing. [5:35] We're going to give them that option. [5:37] Let me end with this. [5:38] Back here in China, any talk about human rights? [5:42] There was some hope that you were going to get Jimmy Lai on the plane to Air Force One? [5:46] I talked about it. [5:48] I talked about it at length. [5:50] I talked about Jimmy Lai. [5:51] And I talked about two other people that... [5:52] The pastors, the religious folks. [5:54] Yeah, I talked about the pastor. [5:56] How was it received? [5:56] You know, I have gotten hundreds of people out of different situations. [6:05] Pastor Brunson was a big deal. [6:06] You remember Pastor Brunson? [6:07] He was in Turkey, a 35-year term. [6:14] I got him out. [6:15] I called President Erdogan and got him out. [6:16] I've gotten hundreds of people out. [6:18] This pastor is... [6:19] And by the way, I don't pay a lot of money like... [6:21] I don't pay any money like Biden, where they give $6 billion all the time to get people out. [6:26] I brought him up yesterday. [6:27] How is that received? [6:28] It's under consideration. [6:29] I will say that I brought up Jimmy Lai. [6:34] And I would say the response to that was not positive. [6:38] He said that he's been, you know, said he's been sort of his worst nightmare. [6:46] It was... [6:47] Opposition. [6:47] He went through a whole thing. [6:50] And I said, well, I would appreciate if you would release him. [6:53] He's gotten old and he's probably not feeling too well. [6:57] It would be nice. [6:58] And I did not feel optimistic. [7:00] I have to be honest with you about that one. [7:03] I did feel optimistic about the second one. [7:06] That's now under consideration. [7:08] The pastor. [7:09] Very optimistic, actually. [7:11] Yeah. [7:12] And I put him down. [7:15] I made a point of it. [7:16] I mentioned Jimmy Lai again, second time. [7:18] And I'd like to tell you that I'll be flying him back on Air Force One. [7:23] But I won't be doing that. [7:25] The other one, I think, will maybe get very strong consideration. [7:28] But as you do fly back on Air Force One, you feel like this was a success. [7:33] A fantastic success. [7:35] The relationship. [7:36] Look, we're two very powerful countries. [7:38] I call it the G2. [7:39] There's nobody comes close. [7:41] We are more powerful than China. [7:43] We were heading in the wrong direction. [7:45] We were going to be a failed nation. [7:47] And we were doubling our welfare. [7:49] And we were, nobody was investing here. [7:51] We have $18 trillion coming. [7:53] And, I mean, I was congratulated by President Xi in front of both groups for, he's never, [8:01] he said, I've never said anything like it. [8:03] I like him. [8:04] He likes me. [8:04] That's a good thing. [8:05] You know, you have two very powerful nuclear nations. [8:09] And having good relations at the top is very important. [8:13] And you're going to have him. [8:14] We've known each other for 11 years now. [8:15] You know, we've been dealing with each other for a long time. [8:18] And you'll have him to the White House in September. [8:20] He's going to be coming in September or November or something. [8:23] But I think they've set a date September 24th, something like that. [8:27] And it'll be an honor. [8:28] We're going to do a fantastic job just like they did here. [8:31] People that study this said there has never been a celebration like they had over the last [8:38] two years in China with a foreign leader coming in. [8:40] There's never been anything like it. [8:43] He went all out from the children to the military. [8:45] What a beautiful group of military that was. [8:48] But there's never been.
