I Opened Rare 90s Barbie Fashion Packs... and the Quality Is Incredible! 👗

[00:00:00] Speaker 1: hey dolls welcome to plastic chic's closet welcome welcome welcome back so today we are going to be unboxing a bunch of these fashion packs that we got from mostly whatnot i think all of these were actually purchased from whatnot so we will go ahead and unbox a bunch of these and we are going to be restyling a bunch of dolls so we will see if the outfit looks good on a model muse doll a silk stone articulated body or we are even going to be throwing in some made to move and also some integrity toys so let's go ahead and unbox a couple of these but for now except for this one this is the one that we basically bought for her fashions this is sophisticated actually she is 1995 summer sophisticate and then we just bought it from whatnot for basically i think under 20 dollars from she's uh she's my doll and we are definitely going to be using this head for a project i feel like this would be a perfect project for like a custom bill lily doll so and then this is another one of the examples of fashion pack for this is from grandawish but let's go ahead and open the first one the first one we are going to open is this barbie private collection fashions this is from actually 1989 i believe hold on yes it does say 1989 and wow this is really old so this fashion pack is technically 37 years old and we are actually going to be unboxing it 37 years later this next fashion pack that i see is actually a fashion avenue fashion pack and this one is from 1995 and then we also got this one on whatnot as well and i think we did buy this from she's my doll as well from lamanda so love this fashion so we're definitely going to be opening that up and then there's another one we got this one from logan uh william 556 and this is from 1996 let me see if i can get the camera right yep 1996 wow this is old so technically we are unboxing some of the fashion packs from the 1990s oh my god oh 1990s fashion barbie fashion packs that's actually pretty awesome and this is another fashion pack this is the earring magic this is from 1991 this is pretty awesome so we are arranging basically our fashion packs we are unboxing ranges from the oldest i believe is 37 years old and some of these are younger and i think this is what 2001 or 1999 hold on this should be 2001 and it looks like we actually have a couple from 2001 i think this one is from 1996 as well if not 1995 so this is also from the 90s and then this is also from she's my doll from lamanda and this is the back and i'm actually really wanting that denim look in the back but i did find a skirt i found it from one of the whatnot shows i believe i got it from dolls after dark and this is another clueless fashion pack this is i believe also from 1996 this is also from lamanda show uh on whatnot and i can't wait to open this one as well oh this is going to be some gorgeous fashions it's just crazy how some of these fashions are just so good we don't we no longer get this type of like quality nowadays and i think this is from 2002 this is basically the quote-unquote newest fashion pack that we bought from this haul so definitely i do want that one with a white skirt and then basically i want all three looks in the back they are on my ebay wish list so let's hope i get those they are a little expensive now they're they run about like 60 to 80 dollars but let's go ahead and open our first fashion pack this is going to be the oldest one that we have currently so this is from again 1989 this is barbie's private collection fashions and this is going to be the first time i guess it's been open in 37 years that is old all right so let's go ahead and pull this out let's get the fashions out oh the details on this it's just amazing so we actually got this one from whatnot this one we got from priceless possessions i believe and i was just attracted to the color and then it just gives you very like spanish flamenco vibes with the ruffles and i actually can't wait to put this on we are going to be putting on a silkstone a made to move a model muse and then we're also going to be using an it doll for this so let's go first look at the items up close so this is the dress just look how pretty this is i can't believe that this is from 1989 this dress is 37 years old i know the print might not be in scale but it's so pretty and colorful and just vibrant and the amount of fabric that comes with this just amazing and it comes with a little bolero as well and the bolero or is this a bolero i think it's kind of like a vest with ruffles same ruffles same fabric and one great thing about this it also comes with a hat love this hat can't wait to put it on the doll look at that nick also comes with shoes and also a purse but we are going to be putting it again on a silkstone body a model muse doll and also we're going to be using an integrity toys doll and see which one looks the best so first we put it on barely blush silkstone and she looks gorgeous in this the color is so vibrant and i wish they would make much more of these like the layers look at that oh and i love how versatile this doll is because she looks great in this imagine if they release a silkstone with this look like an instant hit this would be like a collector's dream i actually showed this to a friend to the sunny dolls romlin she was like why do i love this she was like because it's colorful and lively we rarely get these type of dolls now and this time we put it on the andrew mukamal barbie which uses the superstar sculpt which i love and look how great this look on her too so beautiful the shoes are a little tight for model muse because it's like those 80s pumps 80s 90s pumps but it works and the next look we put it on a custom agnes doll by patrick this is an integrity toys doll and she has the fashion royalty 2.0 body and it fits perfectly on her look how beautiful the color is on the blonde agnes as well it's just like i don't know this fashion is just so beautifully done and i'm actually happy that i end up buying it i first remember seeing it at a maryland toy store and then the second time i saw it whatnot but let me know which one of the dolls actually look great in this definitely take your pick does it look great on a traditional articulated silkstone does it look great in an it body or does it look great on a model muse doll for me i think out of the three i prefer the silkstone the best i think barely blush looks the best in this look because look at that that could have been just a doll that could have sold and the next one we are opening is this earring magic one apparently this comes with earrings and as you guys know if you watch a previous video i have the top for this yellow look we are opening this middle red purple look and then i was bidding on that neon with a skirt but i really love this fashions and this is from 1991 so this one is 35 years old and 35 years later we are going to be taking it out of the box let's go ahead and open this up let's pull the item you guys would be so surprised how colorful and vibrant this fabric is still so vibrant it's crazy like you could see here let me show you wow this barbie dress is 35 years old that is just amazing it has a velcro back oh and i love this color combination very gianni versace and then it comes with this little jacket as well i don't know what this is maybe a necklace i don't know what that is i think it's the belt but i think the belt is attached to the dress so maybe it's some sort of part of the earring but here is supposed to be like the clip-on earrings and i think you're supposed to put like the bee charm on there but look how beautiful this look is together oh that looks so current right now love it oh let's go ahead and put it on barely blush silkstone at first i do love this look on her it made it made the doll look a little bit more modern and current although even though the dress is 35 years old the cut of the dress is perfect i actually cannot wait to style this and use this on other stylings and the next one we place it on another model muse doll which is the andrew mukamal doll and look how beautiful this is on her too oh dress so definitely going to hunt those at barbie convention and here is agnes from the integrity toys and the fashion royalty body wearing the 1991 hearing magic dress that also looks good on her and who wore it best let me know down in the comments from this trio i think i'm going to give it to the fashion royalty doll because she it just suits her vibe it's just so her but i think this barely blush look so it also looks great in that look and the next look that we are unboxing and styling is this fashion avenue from 1995 this is the one with the purple dress i think it's purple with the fur with the fur trim with the fur stole and then purple shoes as well just some pink stockings we'll see if we're going to be using those stockings so this one is technically 31 years old so this is a 31 year old fashion pack that we are going to be taking out of the box and look how pretty okay the quality again so amazing i don't know what they were doing in the 90s but these are some awesome awesome fashion packs let's go ahead and get this thing out and let's see all right here are the pieces so this is the fur stole and it has like this but what is that pearl button i guess to snap it together here is the shoes so it's those 90s barbie shoes and then also comes with this fur purse as well that matches her trim very simple and then comes with this dress it kind of looks very christmas very santa-ish very wintry so maybe we'll definitely be using that in winter for some of our photo shoots but let's go ahead and put it on the first doll so the first doll we chose is actually the fashion royalty we are using the same agnes doll so she looks great and this as well we paired her with some pearl earrings and then we actually didn't use the stockings because they wouldn't fit her and then we used that purse we definitely used a different shoe because the shoes definitely won't fit a fashion royalty doll and of course we put the look on a model muse body and this time we actually used the 2025 barbie convention us barbie convention doll the mackie this is the one that was designed by javi and this is the louisville kentucky us convention doll and she's wearing this dress and she looks great in it we just definitely had to pair her with a different pair of shoes because like i said shoes didn't fit and this time we actually put the dress on a made to move body and this one is actually a custom repaint in ruru lina sculpt by patrick it just shows you that the 90s fashion packs do fit the made to move and also fits the model muse bodies as well and with this one definitely let me know which one do you guys like the most do you like it on the made to move do you like it on the integrity toys doll or do you like it on the model muse doll which one would you guys prefer for this one i do really like it on the model not a model model the made to move body one the one with the lina sculpt i think she looks great in it as well and the next doll we are using so we are actually going to be using this doll as a fashion pack but this is summer sophisticate but from 1995 this was a spiegel exclusive and i just wanted to use the fashions for this doll and then when this doll arrived i was like wait that would actually be a great project for like a modernized bill lily so definitely we're going to be doing that project so definitely look out for that and she comes with this amazing felt hat and it comes with this little like what are they called appliques or something and then she comes with this cute tiffany blue or robin's egg blue barbie hat box or box hat everywhere comes first i guess and then she comes with this really cool just plastic glasses i do love this and this is very reminiscent of very vintage looking and she comes with these like really cute strap sandals very thin very tiny i don't know if it'll break and my one of my favorite pieces is this dress it is a velcro back but the fabric they pick although it might i don't know it feel like it's going to rip but the fabric print is so beautiful and then the silhouette is just really pretty and she also comes with this little jacket as well with like pink fabric just very wrinkly it's not lined and it comes with this little flower brooch plastic flower brooch but overall the look is really cool actually this is the only reason why i bought this doll is for the outfit but here we first used a model muse doll and this is the andrew mukamal doll and look how pretty she is with that really creepy smile with those glasses but overall the doll looks amazing in this outfit especially on a model muse body and then here we are in an articulated silk stone body and she also looks really pretty in this as well i think the silhouette of this dress just works really well especially for silk stone because it's giving that very classic just like rich barbie look so far the dolls look great on both barbie body types and now we're using a interpreted toys doll and this one this is the fashion royalty doll again this is the agnes that was repainted by patrick and this looks great on her as well i think it's because the silhouette and this one it's a little bit more like body fitting on her it looks great on her as well and we just paired it with a little birkin and of course the dress is shorter on her because she's a taller doll and here is the three of them definitely let me know who wore it best for me for this one i'm going to give it to the barely blush silk stone i think she looks the best in this look but also she does look great on the model muse and then the integrity toys body as well so i really can't pick on this one all three dolls look great the next fashion pack this is actually a fashion pack we got from william556 logan on what not but we got it from his store on the hughesville barbie barbie barn or i'm sorry bargain barn and this one is a fashion from 1996 so this doll fashion is basically what almost 30 years old now yes after 30 years we are going to be unboxing this fashion and also this actually this fashion exact fashion pack has been on my wish list since i collected back in 2018 and i can't believe i actually found it in person and i just pulled the trigger but i've always wanted to buy this fashion pack and i'm actually so excited that i have it usually have a long wish list of items i wanted to buy but this one was definitely been up there for years and it just takes me a while to just pull the trigger and i really need i really need to want the item and i really always wanted this item because it's giving again it's giving versace it's giving that classic gianni versace look and i really love the print of this pants the color is just really pretty and all the items that she comes with like look at this top so pretty the capri pants the print the little seashell belt everything is just like so pretty and then the back is actually velcro look how pretty that print is and i'm just really excited i finally own this piece and the quality of these fashion avenue the barbie fashion avenue fashions are just like next level and the barbie tag right there oh so beautiful i can't wait to put this on a doll so definitely let me know if you guys have this in your collection because i think i rarely see this piece on people's collection or they just haven't opened it before but let's go ahead and put it on the doll first let's put it on my favorite one of my favorite integrity toys doll baby imogen blue she looks great in this look like look at that with the jacket on her i think the proportions just although the pants seem so shorter it just giving you like a capri look and we paired it with some sandals by mj buona and just so pretty and this one we put it on a made to move body also looks great on her as well the fit is just amazing because it actually does fit made to move well if you're wondering who the doll is this is a repaint and reroute of a claudette sculpt by turkey elite or patrick so definitely check them out on instagram really do think it fits perfectly on a made to move as well and this time we put it on the u.s barbie convention 2025's mackie doll and this is a model muse body i don't know if it fits her that well i prefer it on the integrity toys body and then the made to move body but here's all three of them definitely let me know which one's your pick who is your fighter on this one for me i'm going to give it to baby blue imogen she looks the best and i think the it body looks the best with this look definitely let me down in the comments which three of these dolls fits it best so there is one thing that i get asked a lot all the time is how do you balance the dolls so let me show you the struggle on balancing these girls so as you all know i love to do group shots and when they do group shots it is a lot of balancing so let me take you through how i balance multiple girls all at once basically the trick is you start with the first girl and then you slowly add the second girl as you balance out the second girl that's when you can technically add the third girl and this is when it gets tricky when you add the third girl all hell will break loose so here we go here's the third girl do it very carefully and one thing about the made to move dolls their ankles are a little soft and flimsy so it will take a lot of like balancing so i'm just literally propping them up against each other and let's go ahead and add the fourth girl let's see how that works so when we add her let me go ahead and fix her up a little bit we are going to put her in a corner over here because she has like a big skirt we don't want it to interrupt the closeness of each other so far it looks good actually if you do just the four girls but we did open up five packs so we have to squeeze in five girls so now the adjustments happen and this is when it all gets tricky and i'm a little bit of a perfectionist the hairs needs to be in place and then so far so good i'm liking their positioning and now let's go ahead and add the fifth girl see and then the second the third girl falls down but that's the struggle we just have to keep going we really can't fight gravity so this is when so we go double girls down and then let's go ahead and try putting the girl back again and let's see does this work so the third girl looks awkward so this is exactly the things i go through but if i really film the whole thing it's going to take probably around 30 more minutes to perfect the post but here they are i think i'm happy with this post but actually i'm still not happy because girl number three is still a little in the back and you really can't see her face i have to push her forward and definitely we're going to need a little bit more adjusting once we adjust that it's going to be perfect so let's go ahead and do that in the back and here is the final look with all of the girls pose i'm pretty happy with this pose because you can technically see everyone everyone has their own little spotlight you can clearly see the faces the fashions and they look great as a group shot so that was my little trick on how to prop these girls up there is really no trick to them it's all about balancing and basically trying to figure out like configurations also let's not forget you really have to fight gravity on these girls so you can really prop them up nicely pose them accordingly and overall it usually would take me about i would say 30 to 40 minutes to just post a group shot so it does take a lot of time oh definitely let
