[00:00:00] Speaker 1: Today we're doing a haul video everyone. I have not done a lego haul video since January and there's a very good reason why. Of course, you know, I've changed my collecting strategy which is of course focusing on retiring sets. So I'll probably undo a haul video twice a year. That will marry up with the end of July and then the end of the year of what I pick up to be honest because lego's going crazy. There's so many sets coming out every single month. It's mad. It's absolutely madness. So, you know, in order to keep up with the hobby I'm having to be very selective with what I pick up and what my collection goals are. But anyway, today I'll be breaking down what I brought, how much for and why I picked these specific sets of course. First up we have the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 Zelda set. This is a beautiful, beautiful set with those amazing minifigures there. You know, this has been on my want list for a long, long time. I am so glad I've picked this up because now not only is it sold out in America and when it did sell out in America, it went crazy on the aftermarket. It really did. Now it's sold out on lego.com in the UK. It is going for like $280, $290 already on the aftermarket. So, you know, it's mad how things can skyrocket and just go above RRP. I know it's not that much but still, it is mad. I do absolutely love these minifigures as I've said. I'm just glad I've got this because I need this for my gaming wall, you know. Eventually I will build this and yeah. But I do think this is a great investment set. I'm just saying, just because, you know, Zelda is just classic. They've not really got much in this range of course. They're just starting to release sets but with the new Ocarina of Time coming out on the Switch 2 at some point as well. I think this will probably go off because people love Ocarina of Time and Zelda. So, but anyway, just glad to have it in the collection. I don't think I said how much I paid for this. Of course I pay retail because it never goes on sale. It did go on sale actually on Amazon a few weeks ago but I didn't pick it up then. I did pick it up when the Leonardo da Vinci GWP was in stock. So, yeah, I'm very happy about that. So, that's one of the reasons why I did pick it up when I did. So, yeah, £259.99 is what I paid for that. Next up we have another gaming set. We've got a couple here today, to be honest, because I was just trying to grab them while I was on deals. So, this was actually on Amazon for £119.99. Uh, yeah, I brought this ages ago on Amazon and it was probably in January. I think it was the end of January and it's only just arrived, like, a couple of weeks ago it came. So, yeah, so I picked this sort of when it was on sale for £120. And then, of course, carrying on with the gaming slash Mario theme, I also picked up this Mario and Yoshi and this was a lovely figure. I mean, I'm just going to get it up on my phone. It was £85.99. So, that is an absolute steal. Of course, this is retiring as well. So, Zelda's retired. Yoshi's retired. I think the Mario Kart's retiring at the end of July as well. But either way, you know, very, very, very happy to get this as well. This would be a great build. I've seen it in person. It looks fantastic. I love all these mechanisms. You know, I love that with my Super Nintendo Mario TV. So, yeah, there's a whole reason why I'm obviously getting these gaming sets. It's because I don't want to pay aftermarket prices down the line when I want them for my gaming wall, as I've said already before. Like, I just want to create, like, a whole section of just all the gaming sets because nostalgia and all that, you know. Next up, we have the classic TV series, Batmobile. Now, again, this was actually on my list and I took it off my list, the things I wanted. But after I played the, and trophied, let me just say, the Lego Batman game, I just couldn't resist, to be honest. So, this was £110.99. You know, it looks so nice. And I love the fact that all these boxes are in great condition as well. So, that is a plus. But yeah, this is one for the future. I'm not sure when I'll build this or what I'll do with it, but I just wanted it, to be honest. Maybe just to look at the box art. I don't know. That seems to be the common theme at the moment. My collection just got nowhere to pull it, nowhere to build. So, yeah. But anyway, pick that up. Next is the Milky Way. Now, guys, I can honestly tell you, Lego art is becoming one of my favourite themes of Lego. I know this has been out for a while, but it's been on my to-get list for a long time. And I picked this up for £130. I think it was £135.99 on a random Lego sale. I didn't even know this was going on. My sister told me. I think this was in May, maybe beginning of June. I can't remember. But yeah, so I picked it up because it's less than retail. But the next one to get is Leonardo Da Vinci Starry Night and then obviously the Monet. But I want to build these all. I want a Lego art wall as well. I've got so many plans, guys. Just, I don't know. Yeah, but so glad I picked this up because, as I say, it is absolutely stunning and the detail is just amazing. It probably will be a bit repetitive, but I think once the picture comes together, it will be absolutely fine. But yeah, anyway, on to the next. Now, I will feature my Brick Link sets that I'm so happy I got. Honestly, this sushi restaurant is just beautiful. I think this is probably one of the most beautiful sets. ever to be released on Brick Link or ever, really. The detail, you know, the playability with it as well. I love the tram in the background. I love all the minifigures that are here as well. Like Brick Link as well is one of my favourite. I'll say favourite themes. I mean, it's, you know, it's one of my favourite lines to obviously acquire at the moment. So yeah, this is the sushi restaurant. Also, I did pick up The Alchemist, which is right here, just behind. But yeah, the Alchemist as well. Just, honestly, I just need space, guys. If I had space, I would build so many different areas for my Lego. I really want a medieval village and little city, to be honest. And I will pop this in there. It's just, oh, beautiful. I could just look at the box, to be honest, and be happy. But yeah, I will build these one day. This is on my to-build list. This is the problem. This is the problem I'm facing. Too many sets. But of course, if I didn't pick these up, I'd regret it. And now on the secondary market, I mean, the sushi restaurant's going for like 300 quid. You know, The Alchemist, this is going for about 250 that I just saw. So, you know, I paid 250 for the sushi and 180 for the Alchemist. It's worth picking up, I think. If you think, oh, I want to get that. I don't know. I don't have any space or anything like that. I'd still pick it up, to be honest. I mean, that's just me. Because down the line, you'll regret it, I think. Because the aftermarket really kills it for me sometimes. So that's why I like to capitalise when I can. So there we have it. There's those two. Next up, we have a couple of sets and then one that's missing. We have Willy Wonka missing, but I drew it there just for dramatic effect. But basically, it's on back quarter for so long. I think it said it's going to, like, I don't know, be shipped in 60 days. So I've got to wait three months, really. Depending on, yeah, depending on when they send it. But anyway, it's not here. I brought this on the Double Points and Insiders week. So Willy Wonka was only 159.99. Of course, down from, you know, 200 quid. So I had to pick that off. That is apparently retiring this year, but who knows. But I really wanted this GWP as well. This is the Sea Serpent. And look at that. That is absolutely beautiful. And this has been so popular on the aftermarket. I've been seeing it go for, like, 40 quid, which is mad, really. And then I also picked up these Brickheads. Supposed to be 20 quid. I believe I brought them for 15.99. Let me just check. Yeah, 15.99. These are the Fortnite Brickheads. To be honest, the only reason why I brought these is because this was only 159.99. And to get the Sea Serpent, you had to do a £60 order. So I was like, what is the next cheapest thing on the sale? And that was it. I'm not really interested in these Brickheads. I will probably sell them, to be honest. But there we have it. That's that. Now, this is the biggest set of the haul. This is the Gringotts Wizarding Bank set. Now, I'm so happy to pick this up. Set number 76417. Of course, we all know this is retiring in July. And let's be honest, it'll be very sought after, after retirement, like the other Harry Potter collection, you know, collector's edition sets. And it has some amazing minifigures in here as well. To be honest, this is an investment for me. I did take off £122 as well. So it's only cost me £247.99. I saw my sister's partner build this, and it looks absolutely amazing. I love this little trail here. It's got some little, some cool parts of the film, guys. Like literally, you come down here, and you try and grab the trophy out of that little room. And it sparks like the gold bricks to come, well, gold pieces to come out. I just think that's so cool. Anyway, it's a really amazing set. But I will not be building this. This is for future keepsake. And just to, you know, flip it to get more Lego that I want for my Lego City of the Future. So yeah, but anyway, I'm happy to pick it up. And here it is. Now, before I end the video, I will tell you exactly how much I have spent. I've spent £1,682.91. Now, that is a lot of money, really. I was going to say it's not much, but it is. But as I say, I haven't spent any money on Lego, really, since January. I've literally been so restrained. There's a lot that I want to pick up by the end of the year as well. So, you know, it's a slow burner, guys. The reason why I'm showing you the haul video, I said to you also that I would tell you what I was going to plan in to do with these sets as well. Of course, the brick link sets. And this is my favourite from the whole haul, by the way. Just saying, I'm a bit biased because I love everything Japanese. But this is my favourite from the haul, of course. I'm so glad I picked it up. But I'm picking these brick links because I want to do my Lego City at some point in the very, very near future. Of course, it's a work in progress. I've got to look for a bigger space, etc. But this is the reason why I'm buying the brick link sets. The gaming sets, again, my direction with that is because I want to make a whole gaming wall of all Lego gaming sets. And, you know, in a gaming room as well. So, and then with the Lego art, again, that is to go on a wall. I want to do a whole Lego wall in a Lego room. And that could be my backdrop for my videos, basically. I've got a lot of plans, guys. You know, as I say, it's a slow burner. But, you know, I've got a lot of, I've got a lot of ideas for the channel and everything. So, but anyway, this is my favourite from the haul, as I said. Let me know what you've been picking up, what your favourite is from this haul. And let me know in the comment section down below. Really appreciate it. Like and subscribe to the channel if you haven't already. And again, guys, I shall see you all in the next one. Keep building.
