"Want to talk about this? I've got one on Iran, too, but I'll start with this. You said that 70% of the land was federal. Was there any other way to turn this around? How is it that, I guess my question is, how did it get there if it's a state? Go ahead. Do you want to discuss that, please? The land"

[0:00] Want to talk about this? [0:01] I've got one on Iran, too, but I'll start with this. [0:04] You said that 70% of the land was federal. [0:09] Was there any other way to turn this around? [0:11] How is it that, I guess my question is, how did it get there if it's a state? [0:16] Go ahead. [0:16] Do you want to discuss that, please? [0:20] The land ownership is what it is. [0:23] Under the Antiquities Act, 120 years ago, Congress made the decision to give presidents the power [0:29] to designate by executive proclamation a certain land as monument. [0:36] It was supposed to be the smallest area compatible with the objects to be protected in connection with that. [0:43] Now, initially, as the Deputy Secretary of the Interior explained a minute ago, [0:46] that meant a few hundred, maybe a thousand or two acres at the most. [0:50] These are three million acres. [0:52] As I explained to President Biden, that's two Delawares. [0:55] It's been unused, and so it was done by executive action. [0:59] President Trump is right-sizing it to bring it in compliance with what the law says. [1:04] And, Mr. President, just on Iran, you've said now to Congress that we are back at war. [1:09] How long do you expect this to take, and what's the legal basis? [1:12] Take what? [1:13] Take what? [1:13] The war. [1:14] Well, I think it's going very fast. [1:16] We've demolished their military. [1:17] We're hitting them very hard. [1:19] We had a deal yesterday or the day before yesterday. [1:22] It was all done, and then they broke up that deal immediately [1:25] because they found out there was something in the deal they didn't like. [1:27] And they're wired differently, and we're not going to put up with it. [1:32] We are just going forward. [1:34] We're attacking them tonight. [1:36] We're taking out all of their capability for anything having to do with the straight, [1:41] with the harmless straight. [1:42] And I think in the end, we will end up discontrolling the whole thing. [1:47] And what they're doing is being very foolish, very stupid, [1:50] and they've treated people horribly. [1:52] They've killed 52,000 protesters so far that we can determine. [1:57] It might be more than that, but 52,000 protesters have been killed, [2:01] and it's really a terrible situation. [2:04] But we'll have it under control very quickly. [2:07] Yeah. [2:07] Thank you, Mr. President. [2:08] Please. [2:08] Wait, wait, please. [2:10] I'm sorry. [2:11] Wait, Jeff. [2:12] I'm sorry. [2:13] Be nice. [2:13] Be nice, Jeff. [2:14] Go ahead, please. [2:15] Thank you, Mr. President. [2:16] I have to teach him to be nice. [2:17] Thank you, Mr. President. [2:19] On your presidency, so a lot of us here actually went as a miracle two years ago today [2:23] as we were on the ground covering your rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. [2:27] You said a lot of times that you believe that God has saved your life. [2:31] Has there been a moment throughout your presidency so far where you thought [2:34] this is why God kept you here? [2:38] Well, we're doing a lot. [2:39] You know, we have a country that I use the expression make America great again, [2:43] and we've done far more than anyone thought possible, including maybe even me. [2:47] We've done things that are unreal, $19.2 trillion. [2:51] The money being invested in our country is more than any country has ever had by many times. [2:57] We have trillions of dollars coming, and because of the tariffs and the proper use of tariffs, [3:02] because of all of the things, I think because of the election. [3:05] November 5th was a very important day. [3:08] When you look at the military, we have the strongest military in the world. [3:11] We rebuilt it largely during my first term, and we have recruitment now. [3:15] We're setting records in recruitment. [3:17] We had, if you go back to the campaign when I used to talk about it, the last administration, [3:23] they couldn't recruit soldiers. [3:24] We needed soldiers in every single branch of our military, and that included police and firemen. [3:30] Nobody wanted to do anything having to do with a uniform in this country, [3:33] because they weren't proud of the country. [3:35] And now the people are very, very proud to be an American. [3:39] Our country is doing phenomenally well. [3:41] We're respected all over the world. [3:43] If I go, no matter where I go, we just got back from NATO, and I think you saw the response. [3:47] It was like a very beautiful thing, actually. [3:50] It was a total response, totally positive response. [3:54] No matter where we go, we're respected again, maybe respected more than ever before. [3:58] So I appreciate the question, but that's pretty much it. [4:02] Mr. President, thank you. [4:04] Cameron Arkin with Town Hall. [4:05] I was curious about their reports about Iranian drones in Cuba. [4:11] There are concerns about that. [4:12] Where does the relationship with the U.S. stand there? [4:15] Is military intervention still on the table there? [4:17] Well, if they do have that, and they might very well have that, we'll take care of it. [4:20] Marco's just in the other room. [4:22] And if they do have that, we'll take care of it in short order. [4:26] We're not going to have a problem. [4:28] We're not going to allow that to happen. [4:29] So it could be that they're storing some. [4:31] We're looking into it now. [4:33] It could be so, and it maybe isn't. [4:35] But we'll figure it out first. [4:36] And what are you expected to speak about on Thursday? [4:40] I'm going to speak on Thursday. [4:42] We were thinking one of the nice, but this has been such a busy news day today with all that's happening. [4:47] A lot of very positive things have happened, including the Indy. [4:51] We're going to have an Indy race, as you know, in 41 days. [4:55] And that's going to be incredible. [4:56] Around the Capitol, around down Pennsylvania Avenue, it's going to be something. [4:59] They have 250,000 tickets ordered. [5:02] It'll be like UFC, which set every record in the book for that business, which is the business of fighting. [5:10] So we have the Indy cars coming, and it's going to be great. [5:13] And just while we're talking, I have to pay on behalf of Mike and myself. [5:16] And I think everybody's standing behind me very strongly. [5:19] I want to pay my respects to Lindsey, who was our friend. [5:22] He was a friend of all of us. [5:24] He was a great guy. [5:25] He was a great politician, actually. [5:27] And it's hard to believe he's gone. [5:29] He spoke to me just before he passed away, just to say hello. [5:33] He got back. [5:34] He felt fine. [5:34] He was a little tired. [5:35] And then this whole thing happened. [5:39] And it's, boy, it's tough. [5:41] So the flags are at half-mask until Saturday evening, which is an extended period of time, [5:49] you know, generally speaking. [5:50] But I think he deserves it. [5:52] And he is a fantastic person. [5:55] He was a fantastic man. [5:57] He was actually a great politician. [5:59] He got along with almost everybody. [6:01] And when he didn't get along, they knew it. [6:04] He was tough. [6:05] But he was a good man. [6:08] He was very much in favor of the Save America Act. [6:10] He called me about that. [6:11] We were talking about that. [6:13] And some other things. [6:14] But he just felt tired. [6:17] But he felt fine. [6:19] And then this horrible thing happened just a short time afterwards. [6:22] So it was terrible. [6:23] I just want to pay our respects. [6:24] Mr. President, I agreed to deal and then walked away from it. [6:31] Have you reached the conclusion that a negotiated settlement won't be able to happen? [6:37] No, I never reached that conclusion. [6:38] But we're hitting them very heavy tonight, as you know. [6:41] We're hitting them. [6:42] We have tremendous amounts of ammunition. [6:44] We have numbers that we haven't had in years. [6:47] And we're hitting them very hard. [6:49] And it'll continue. [6:50] We'll see what happens. [6:51] But we're knocking out all of their offensive capability. [6:55] And we're controlling the straits. [6:58] We're putting the blockade back. [6:59] And it's a blockade not for anybody but Iran. [7:01] In other words, anybody doing business with Iran can't go through. [7:04] Everyone else will be able to go through. [7:06] So it's a blockade. [7:07] It's a very strong blockade. [7:09] The blockade was probably more effective even than hitting them. [7:12] But I think the combination is the thing that really does it. [7:15] But do you think a deal is still possible? [7:17] Do you think a deal is possible? [7:18] Yeah, I think a deal is possible. [7:19] Sure, I do. [7:20] But, Mr. President, you noted the United States is bombing Iran again. [7:23] I mean, you've been bombing Iran for months now. [7:25] Is this just the new normal for the American people? [7:27] No. [7:28] Well, you know, we're in Vietnam for 19 years. [7:30] We're here for four months. [7:31] So I think we've done a lot. [7:33] We've knocked out their Navy in a period of one month. [7:36] We knocked out their Air Force. [7:37] Their Air Force is nonexistent. [7:39] We knocked out most of their missiles, most of their drones. [7:42] We knocked out their drone manufacturing capability, about 92%. [7:46] Their missile capability for manufacturing, we knocked out 89%. [7:52] And they have a little capability, but they don't have any capability for us. [7:57] This is almost a military skirmish. [7:59] Now, with all of that being said, you have to get people that want to make something. [8:04] We had a deal with them two days ago. [8:07] And then they said, oh, we can't make that deal. [8:09] We have to negotiate it further. [8:11] And this is what they've done for 47 years. [8:14] The difference is nobody negotiated like I do. [8:17] And this should have been done by Bush and Obama and Biden and people before them, frankly. [8:25] It's 47 years they've been ripping off everybody and really hurting and killing thousands of people. [8:30] So they killed 52,000 protesters. [8:33] But they killed many, many people with Soleimani, who I killed in the first term. [8:39] Soleimani killed many people, many, many people. [8:41] And not only killed, when you see a young former soldier walking around with no legs, no arms, a face that's been horribly, horribly hurt, that was done by Iran. [8:53] That was done by Soleimani, who was a person that was very evil. [8:58] He was an evil genius. [8:59] He was looking to take out a lot of our military installations in Iraq and Iran. [9:05] And I got him before he got us. [9:07] So we have to do what we're doing. [9:09] And the strait is open. [9:11] It will be open. [9:13] We've cut down their capability very substantially. [9:16] But, you know, they're going to fight for a while. [9:18] Our military has done a fantastic job. [9:22] And, you know, the bottom line, though, and I say it to everybody, and I say it as much as you'll want to listen, Iran will not have a nuclear weapon. [9:29] If we didn't bomb them with the B-2 bombers, that plane right there, if we didn't bomb them, they would have had a nuclear weapon long ago. [9:37] One month, within one month from the day we bombed them, they would have had, if we didn't do it, they would have had a nuclear weapon. [9:43] But if they had a nuclear weapon, Israel would no longer be with us. [9:47] And the Middle East probably would no longer be with us because you saw they sent missiles to five different countries that never even knew they were involved because they're stone cold crazy. [9:58] They are crazy and we're not going to put it up. [10:01] Yeah, I want to be reimbursed because we're protecting a very rich part portion of the world. [10:05] We're spending money. [10:06] And so what we've done is we are going to be reimbursed for protection. [10:10] We're protecting by the countries that we're helping. [10:14] For instance, you look at the five countries. [10:17] You have Saudi Arabia, you have UAE, you have Qatar, as I always say, you have Qatar, Bahrain. [10:25] And by the way, you have others. [10:27] You have Kuwait and you have others. [10:29] And they will do very well. [10:31] But we think it's appropriate that we don't need them. [10:34] You know, we have more oil than any other country in the world. [10:36] When you add Venezuela, which has been amazing when you would test tremendous amounts of oil that we control when you add Venezuela and everything else. [10:45] We have more than 50 percent of the world's supply. [10:48] We don't need it, but we need it from the standpoint of protecting allies, et cetera, et cetera, including Israel, including Saudi Arabia, including Qatar, including UAE. [10:59] We're protecting all of them. [11:00] And we've done a very effective job. [11:02] So four months ago, these people had military that was very strong, by far the strongest probably in the Middle East. [11:11] They were called the bully of the Middle East. [11:13] Now they don't have a Navy. [11:15] They have 159 ships underwater. [11:17] They had a total of 159 ships. [11:19] Now every one of them is underwater. [11:21] They had 230 airplanes, attack planes. [11:25] They're all gone. [11:26] They're all, they're gone. [11:28] They had tremendous radar. [11:29] It's all gone. [11:30] They had tremendous anti-aircraft. [11:32] It's all gone. [11:34] Sadly, their leadership is all gone. [11:36] They had their first tier leaders are all dead. [11:39] Their second tier leaders are all dead. [11:41] Their third tier tier leaders, who we're dealing with, more or less, some of them are already gone. [11:46] And then you read fake news, like your network, CNN, which is fake news. [11:52] You read them, you have them say, well, actually, aren't they doing quite well? [11:56] Let me just tell you, they have now inflation of over 300 percent. [12:00] Four months ago, they had inflation of 5 percent. [12:03] Now they're at over 300, could be 350 percent. [12:06] They made a deal, they broke it, probably 10 times. [12:13] And they killed a lot of people. [12:15] They killed our people. [12:16] But the protesters, what they've done to the protesters, 52,000. [12:20] Have you ever seen any of the burial lots where they're doing, where they're burying the protesters? [12:26] They killed 52,000 protesters. [12:29] And on my watch, they can't do any of that. [12:32] So we have them in a position that they don't have any military. [12:36] There's not a thing they can do about it. [12:38] All they have is fake news because they have the fake news. [12:41] Would rather see us lose the war than win the war, which is really treasonous, which is really treasonous in a certain way. [12:49] So we're doing another very major attack tonight. [12:52] They want to make a deal. [12:53] They came back. [12:54] We made a deal two days ago, and they want to make a deal. [12:57] They've been negotiating for 47 years, but nobody's ever hit them militarily. [13:02] We're hitting them very hard. [13:03] Thank you very much, everybody. [13:04] Thank you. [13:05] Thank you. [13:05] Thank you. [13:05] Thank you. [13:06] Thank you. [13:07] Thank you. [13:09] Thank you guys. [13:09] Thank you guys.
