Trump speaks on the economy in Rocky Mount, North Carolina

[0:00] President Trump now speaking in North Carolina. We expect he will be speaking on economic issues. [0:07] Trump is planning to frame this speech around bolstering public confidence in the economy. [0:13] He's going to argue that his policies are putting the country on a path toward growth [0:17] and that the progress that's being made is battling inflation. The News Observer, [0:26] which is a newspaper in the area, says he's also expected to emphasize economic themes [0:30] similar to some of his recent events, including his recent primetime address and a rally in [0:36] Pennsylvania, which focused on efforts to bring down prices and it highlighted economic measures [0:41] as well. I was reading in Reuters that Trump will likely also argue that improvements in cost trends [0:51] like slower rises in housing and some food items are showing that his policies are working. [0:58] They'll say that economic struggles are due to the previous administration, according to Reuters. [1:06] So just a little bit of what we expect. Let's listen to the president live. [1:30] You have people. It's crazy. We're having a great time. And you know, these ladies right here, [1:35] they've been to, I think over 200 rallies, but I'm not going to say it. And this time I made it easy [1:44] because they come from North Carolina. They didn't have to travel today. They traveled about a half an [1:49] hour, right? Isn't that nice? Instead of traveling all over the country. They're unbelievable. And you [1:54] look better than you've ever looked. And I'm not allowed to say that. You know, if you say that, [1:59] if you say a woman looks beautiful, which you do, it's the end of your political career, [2:03] but I don't care. You look beautiful. Well, I'm thrilled to be back in this incredible state [2:10] with so many proud, hardworking American patriots, which is what you are. And let me begin by wishing [2:16] each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas. Remember, they didn't want to say Merry Christmas [2:25] when I first started 2016. We don't want to say Merry Christmas. They said, I said, no, [2:31] we're going to bring back Christmas. And they don't say that anymore. They don't want to say it, [2:35] but they don't talk about it anymore because they got shellacked. We're here tonight to celebrate [2:40] 11 incredible months. It's been the most successful first year of any president in the [2:46] history of our country. It has been, isn't that a big statement, but it's a statement that you read [2:57] all over the place. I mean, who could have done better? I don't think anybody could have done better [3:01] than us, not me, than us. We're all wearing this together. Since my inauguration, we've created [3:08] more than 53,000 North Carolina jobs, including 8,000 North Carolina construction jobs. More [3:17] than 150,000 North Carolina residents have been lifted off of food stamps. They're very happy [3:24] about that. And after your horrible hurricane, which produced more water damage than any hurricane [3:31] in history, the Democrats let you down. They really did. Remember, they wouldn't do anything. [3:37] Remember, they wouldn't go to your community. They wouldn't do anything. You had to wait till [3:42] January 20th when I took office that we really knocked the hell out of it. Remember, as soon as I [3:49] took office, I got in on January 20th. And I first thing I did was made North Carolina phone calls. [3:56] And we did a hell of a job, did a hell of a job. You'd still be sitting in the mud. If I didn't get [4:02] elected, you would be. People were sitting in the mud. But I helped rebuild your state. And I didn't get [4:09] any help from the Democrats. Not your governor, not your man that's running, by the way, for Senate [4:14] against Michael Watley, who's phenomenal. Michael Watley is incredible. Your previous governor was a [4:21] disaster. He's also a radical left person, by the way. He's radical left. You don't want him. [4:26] He doesn't represent you. You just... And look at the crime. Look at what's going on with all the crime [4:31] here. The slitting throats and stuff. I didn't... I never saw that with you. Now, all of a sudden, [4:37] that's what we see. You got to get Michael Watley. It's going to be so important. He was so great. [4:42] Don't forget, I took Michael and I put him as the head of the party because he did so great. We won the [4:49] state all three times. And it was like a rock. He didn't allow cheating in the second time. I watched [4:58] all these states. Boom, boom. We're leading. People went to sleep. It was over. Then they dropped ballots. [5:04] They cheated like hell. The only good thing is this is a far better term than it would have been [5:12] had I done it the more traditional way. It really is. It's a more powerful term. It's a more powerful [5:18] term. And the biggest news of all is yesterday, it was announced that inflation is far lower than [5:24] anybody expected. I told you, beating every one of the 61 forecasts from the so-called geniuses, [5:34] the experts. We're the geniuses, not them. We now have the lowest core inflation since March of 2021. [5:42] And we're just getting started. It's unbelievable. And that's despite taking in billions and billions [5:51] and billions, hundreds of billions of dollars in tariffs. Remember, they said, oh, the tariffs will [5:56] cost inflation. Just came out with the best inflation report we've had in years. And lots of cash, [6:03] too. In fact, 1776, right? $1,776 goes to our military. You know, it was 1,775. And that was [6:22] the number. You know, that was just a lump. I said, you know, if we had $1, we got 1776. Somebody said, [6:30] that's genius. I said, well, I'm smart. I said, for $1, and I'll get these ladies who are loaded [6:39] with money to pay for it from North Carolina. Their husbands can write a check in two seconds, [6:45] take care of it. No, think of it for $1 more. They said, I can't believe we didn't think of that. [6:51] Only hours ago, I left a meeting at the White House where we cut the cost of prescription drugs by [6:56] 300, 400, 500, and even 600%. And I'm doing what no politician of either party has ever done before, [7:06] standing up to the special interests and demanding lower prices for the American people. That's what [7:11] we're doing. You know, it's called favored nations. And nations all over the world were screwing us. [7:18] We would have prices that were 10 times higher than the prices they were charging in London and [7:26] in Paris and all over, all over the world. We had the highest prices for drugs because we had [7:33] politicians that wouldn't, I did it at the beginning at the first, but then we had a thing called, [7:38] you know what happened, COVID. And it was sort of hard to go after France and Italy, say, listen, [7:44] on top of all your COVID all over the place with everyone dying, we want you to pay a lot of money [7:49] for drugs. You can't do it. But we did it. And nobody's ever even thought of doing it before. [7:54] I've negotiated and really did it directly with 17 of the world's largest drug companies, [8:00] as well as foreign nations that were taking advantage of your country for decades, many [8:05] decades. For years, Americans have been paying the highest drug prices anywhere in the world by far, [8:12] 10 times more sometimes, 15 times more, while other countries pay drastically less for the exact [8:19] same drug made in the exact same plant in the exact same country. But under my most favored [8:26] nation, you know what that means? That's a legal term. Drug pricing executive order, I just, I just [8:34] signed a couple of months ago, and it's now being implemented. We have declared that the United States [8:41] will now pay the same price as the lowest price of any country anywhere in the world. [8:54] And we should honestly, this is the biggest thing to happen in medicine, I think, since the founding of [9:01] our country. You know, I don't mind. They actually have a great location. You know, we've had people [9:09] that look so good behind me that some of them went to Hollywood and actually did very well. [9:16] You know, see, they may have a better location, but nobody's going to Hollywood. They can only see the [9:23] back of your head. Look at all the television. Look at all those cameras. It's crazy. But we, uh, we did [9:30] something nobody's ever done before. Nobody's tried. Nobody thought they could do it. Don't forget the [9:35] bigger, the drug companies turned out to really do the right thing. They really did. But, and they were there [9:42] at the White House today. You saw some of the biggest companies in the world were there. The rest of them [9:46] are coming next week. But the big problem was foreign countries. They would have to take their [9:51] drug and raise it from $10 to $20 to $30, maybe to $100, maybe 10 times more. But it really doesn't [10:00] work that way. Because the world is a bigger place than the US. And so you're not going to have to raise [10:05] it that much, but you have to raise it. And they always said for 50 years, they say, let the United [10:12] States pay. And for 50 years, the United States got screwed. Because we're paying so much more drug [10:19] that we're selling for $10 in London sells for $130. That's 13 times more New York 13 times more. So $10 [10:29] in London, $130 in New York. And now that drug will go up for the other country from $10 to only $20, [10:41] or maybe $30. And we'll come down from the United States of America to $20 from $130. Think of that. [10:50] Think of that. That's the biggest price reduction. When you talk about, you talk about cutting prices, [11:01] cutting costs and cutting prices. You talk about affordability. You know, the Democrats, [11:07] they're the ones that got us into the mess. They're the ones that caused the high prices. [11:11] And then they come out and they look, and they look at those fake news people. This election is [11:18] about affordability. They go, let's talk about it. No, I'd rather not talk about it. Because they [11:24] can't. They're the ones that caused the highest inflation in the history of our country, which [11:30] led to the highest prices in the history of our country. I inherited the mess. I got the prices down [11:36] and they're going down still further. Look at gasoline. A lot of areas now in our country, $1.99 a gallon. [11:47] It costs these ladies from North, these beautiful friends of mine from North Carolina, it costs them [11:53] like one third to get here than it would have cost done to Sleepy Joe Biden. Right? If you drive, [12:02] this time you can drive. It's the first time you didn't have to take an airplane. But we had nine [12:06] blockbuster agreements. We had nine of them with the big drug companies just today. The rest are coming [12:12] over the next couple of weeks. But the first dramatic drug discounts will be available to all [12:18] Americans starting in January at a thing called TrumpRx.gov. TrumpRx.gov. But this is the biggest [12:28] thing ever to happen on drug prices, pharmaceutical prices. It will also tremendously, it's going to [12:35] reduce the cost of healthcare because healthcare is probably 50% about drugs, right? Your drugs are [12:41] coming down at levels that nobody ever thought was possible. This achievement alone should win us [12:48] the midterms. You know, if we did nothing else, I said today, I said, you know, you're talking about [12:55] like this massive reduction in drug prices that affects everybody, older people, younger people, [13:01] middle aged people, sick people, well people. It's not just like patients, it's everybody. It can never [13:09] happen. Nobody would ever have done this. It was very hard to do. I had countries laughing at me. [13:14] I said, listen, you're going to have to double and triple your drug prices. They said, France, [13:20] as an example, UK, European Union. They said, you must be kidding. They've had low prices for years. The [13:31] drug companies would go. Could you pay more? No, no, charge the United. They wanted the drug companies, [13:36] in all fairness to charge the United States of America. And they made up all sorts of crap. Well, [13:43] research and development. I said, well, what about research and development? Why aren't they paying [13:46] also for research? Well, it just never worked that way. They used to use remember research and [13:50] development. That's why we pay more. They say 12 times more for research and development. It was all [13:57] a con job. But I'd say to the head of France as an example, I'm sorry, but you're going to have to [14:04] double or triple year prices for drugs. No, no, no. We will not do that. Oh, yes, you will. I said, [14:10] yes, you will. No, no, no. We will not do that. Of course we will not. I can't do that. I said, [14:17] yes, you will. No, I won't. Yes, you will. And he said, why do you have such certainty? [14:27] I said, because if you don't do it, I'm going to charge you a 25% tariff on everything you sell [14:31] into America. And I said, because that was really the sticking point. They just would do it. [14:44] They told the drug companies for years, we're not doing it. We're keeping that pill at $10. We're [14:50] not going to raise it. And the drug companies said, well, you know, it's unfair. I mean, [14:54] they're paying, they're paying times more, sometimes 15 times more. That's okay. Let them pay more. [15:03] We're not paying more than that. The prices were stuck for years. And no president did anything about [15:10] it. Sleepy Joe Biden didn't know he was alive. The last thing he cared about, [15:16] the last thing he cared about was this. He didn't care about anything. Just wanted to make it through. [15:23] But, but they cheated. Look, he was surrounded by radical left. Hey, did you see on [15:29] Mar-a-Lago? Did you see how corrupt that was now? It's all come out. Wow. It's all come out. Some life. [15:37] It's all come out. They were totally corrupt, radical left lunatics. Not stupid people, [15:42] by the way. He was. But the people that really ran the country and that really ran the auto pen, [15:47] they were not stupid. But think about what we've done. Under the Trump administration, [15:54] America will not be ripped off any longer. So can you imagine these countries? [15:58] And when I told you the example before, from $10 to $20, you know, that doesn't sound like much, [16:09] but it's a doubling of the price. You know, that's a doubling of the price. [16:12] And if it went to 30 or 35 or 40, you know, that's still a doubling, tripling or quadrupling of the [16:19] price. But I said, uh, a 25% tariff. It's much more money than what you're talking about. [16:27] So they would say to me, every, all countries, you know, obviously they said no at the beginning, [16:31] and they would have told a normal president, no. And that would have been the end of the conversation. [16:36] So they said no to me. And I said, no, no, you'll do it. A hundred percent. And they said, [16:41] what's wrong with this? A hundred percent. I said, 100% that you're going to do it. [16:48] The one asked me, why are you so certain? Why would you say that I would quadruple the price [16:52] of drugs in France or someplace? I said, because if you don't, we're going to charge you a 25% tariff. [16:59] That tariff is worth five times more money than you're talking about. [17:05] And there was dead silence on the phone. And then when the gentleman, Emmanuel is a wonderful guy. [17:15] When he spoke, he said, you have a deal. He's a nice guy. You can't blame him. You know, [17:30] this has been 40, 50 years. You can't blame him. But it was the same conversation with everybody. [17:36] No, no, no, we can't do that. No, no, I don't. I cannot double the price of my drugs. [17:40] I said, no, no, maybe triple or quadruple. But it's still much lower than we were playing. [17:46] You know, we were paying a number that was crazy, 13, 14 times more. [17:51] As president, I'm also taking on the gigantic health insurance companies that have gotten rich [17:55] on billions of dollars of government subsidies. And I want the money to go directly to the people. [18:01] I want the money to be paid directly to the people [18:04] so that they can buy their own health insurance, which will give far better benefits at much lower. [18:09] Of course, by the way, what I told you about buying the drugs at this massive dollar discount, [18:16] it's like from where it is, that's going to have a huge impact on the cost of health care. [18:23] The current Unaffordable Care Act, commonly known as Barack Hussein Obamacare, [18:30] was created to make insurance companies rich. Add health care at much too higher cost. And you see [18:43] now that the steep increase in premiums, it's being demanded by the Democrats. It was never any [18:50] good Obamacare. It was done for the benefit of insurance companies, which totally control the [18:55] Democrats. That's why you could have a strike on January 30th. You could have another shutdown, [19:01] because the Democrats are totally in the hands of, they're totally controlled by the insurance [19:08] companies, big wealthy companies. Again, I want the money to go directly to the people so you could [19:13] buy your own health care. And you'll get much better health care at a much lower price. And the only [19:26] losers will be the insurance companies that have gotten rich. How about these companies? Some of them [19:32] have gone up 1,400% their stock prices. One, I think went up 1,700%. How many people have ever bought [19:40] a stock that went up 1,700%? And think of it, they've taken in billions and billions of dollars. [19:50] And the Democrat Party is also just, you know, it's, look, I don't know. I don't know what they're [19:56] going to do, because I don't know how anybody beats us when we say that we want the money to go to [20:00] the people so you can buy your own health care. How could it ever be better than that? I wanted [20:05] to do that at the beginning in 2016. But the politicians told me, sir, you know, I was a [20:11] little bit inexperienced. I've never did that. I've never done this before. Now I'm quite experienced. [20:16] I've seen things that nobody would have thought possible. But I said, then I said, why do we have [20:21] this crazy Obamacare, or as we call it, the unaffordable? Isn't that a great name? The affordable [20:29] care act. I call it the unaffordable care act. I should get credit. That's a good one. What's [20:35] better, that or fake news? That or Pocahontas? That? I can't use the names that I used on the [20:44] Republicans to gain access to the election. But we had some good names, didn't we? But I think the [20:50] unaffordable care act is pretty good. The UCA, right? You know, they keep talking about the ACA. [20:59] Think of that. Instead of the ACA, we call it the UCA. The UCA, they say, what is that? The [21:05] unaffordable care act? It is unaffordable. But it was always no good. But now it's really gone. [21:10] And with time, it gets worse. Now it's going to be hit big. Remember, I didn't do this. This is [21:15] Obamacare. This is Obamacare. This isn't Trump. But you don't need it. Because let the money not go [21:21] to the insurance companies. The problem is the Democrats will shut down the government because [21:26] they are totally beholden. I don't love that word. But they're beholden to the insurance companies. [21:36] So I don't know what they can do about it. But you know, they'll probably close down the government. [21:41] It's so simple. The money should go to the people. The people should then take all of this money and [21:47] buy the best health care there is. And there'll be a lot of money left over. But they'll not be happy. [22:09] But that's okay with me because you, the hardworking citizens, and finally you're going to have great [22:14] health care at the right price. So you're going to have it. Although today I did suggest one thing, [22:19] because when I was watching these big drug companies get up and talk about things that [22:23] were giving free medicine. And I mean, they couldn't have been nicer. They couldn't have been better. [22:28] And they were, you know, giving us a hard time a while ago, but it worked out good. [22:31] I said, you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to call these insurance companies, [22:35] fat cats. They are fat cats. I'm going to call the insurance companies, [22:42] and I'm going to set up a meeting with them, all of them. And maybe I'll have the same [22:46] luck that we had with the health companies, with the pharmaceuticals and the drug companies that we [22:52] had. So rather than just saying, we're not going to deal, maybe they'll give us a deal, [22:56] like cut the price by 50%. And maybe then it's just to make sense. So I'm going to meet with them. [23:01] Who knows? And I'll either meet in Florida. I'm going to Florida. I'll either meet in Florida, [23:11] because I work all the time. So I'll either meet in Florida or I'll meet in Washington the first week [23:17] after right after we all come back to going to our wonderful jobs. And I'll sit down with, [23:24] it's like 12, 13 people. You know, it's basically these big monster companies, 13, 14, if I want to be [23:30] generous, get 14 people in a room and let's see what happens. Maybe they'll surprise us, but maybe we'll ask [23:36] them for a 50% cut and maybe they'll give it. You know, you never know. You saw what happened with [23:41] the drug companies. They want to give, they're giving free drugs. I mean, they've been unbelievable, [23:48] but they do love our country. And I probably think the insurance company guys love our country. They [23:53] just felt they were dealing with stupid people. So you can't really blame them. Over the past 11 months, [23:59] we have brought more positive change to Washington than any administration in the history of our country. [24:05] That's true. And there's never been anything like it. When I took office last January, [24:14] I inherited a mess. And very simply, I'm fixing it. Joe Biden gave us the worst inflation in the [24:22] history of our country. A lot of people say, you know, the fake news says, it's not the worst in [24:27] history. It's the worst in 48 years. Oh, okay. No, they do. They say 48 years is okay. But when I say [24:35] history, they go crazy. That's when I let them win. I say, I'm sorry, apologize. I like that hat, [24:42] 47. It's nice, actually. Beautiful. Nice thread, gold thread. I watched that myself. I want gold [24:54] thread, not mustard colored, you know? No, they give you a lot of times they sell your mustard color. [24:59] It costs them a lot less. We don't accept those hats. When you have a mustard colored thread, [25:04] don't accept it. But it caused the prices to be higher than ever before, making it really life [25:12] unaffordable for millions and millions of Americans. Our border was open, [25:16] and our country was being invaded by an army of 25 million people. Many came from prisons and jails, [25:23] mental institutions, and insane asylums. You know the difference between a prison and a jail? [25:29] A prison's more severe, right? You know the difference between a mental institution [25:34] and an insane asylum? An insane asylum is more severe. They came from both. They were drug dealers, [25:42] gang members, and over 13,000 murderers, more than 50% of whom killed more than one person. Think [25:50] of that. They killed more than one. A lot of them said, oh, I didn't mean, but you know, [25:54] when you kill more than one, get them to hell out of our country. How about that incident with that [26:06] horrible monster that killed the young, beautiful girl from Ukraine, an animal, [26:12] and to think we'll have, we'll have been trials for years and you'll get some nice liberal lawyer and [26:17] they'll say, oh, well, he had a bad day. Yeah, he had a bad day. Slid her throat. We had men playing in [26:25] women's sports, transgender for everybody, crime at record levels, the worst trade deals ever made. [26:32] And our country was laughed at from all over the world, but they're not laughing anymore. [26:36] One year ago, our country was dead. Now we are the hottest country anywhere in the world, [26:44] because we finally have a president who puts America first. The last administration and their [27:15] allies in Congress looted our treasury for trillions of dollars, driving up prices on everything [27:22] at unprecedented levels. How about the new thing in Minnesota with the Somalians? [27:28] They stole, now it came out, the great U.S. attorney up there, they came out, think of this, [27:36] nine billion dollars, and they think that's just the beginning. They stole, think of it, [27:43] in their country, they live on nothing, they have nothing. They come here and they steal nine billion [27:49] dollars. Are we stupid? I mean, how do we allow that to happen? Ilhan Omar should be sent out of our [27:56] country. She should be, she should not be allowed to be a congresswoman. She married her brother, [28:06] either to stay or to get him into the country. And yesterday she, I guess, made up a story. She said, [28:16] the police attacked her son. They, they stopped the car, they, and the police said, we never attacked [28:24] him. We never stopped. It was a made up story. She's a con person. She's full of con. She says zero. She [28:31] said, get the, you ought to get her the hell out of our country. That's what you ought to do. [28:38] She made up a story that the police stopped her son's car and they harassed the hell out of him. [28:43] It turned out to be a fake story. Never, there was no stoppage of his car and there was no harassment. [28:51] But think of that in Minnesota, this beautiful place, once beautiful, I don't call it beautiful. [28:56] I got a governor who's a stupid person and a corrupt. He's corrupt and stupid, but he allowed this to go on. [29:05] He allowed this to go on. Everybody knew what's going on. But what nobody knew is over $9 billion. [29:11] And the people of Minnesota are not happy. And you know who's running for governor? [29:18] Mike Lindell. Do we like Mike Lindell? That man suffered. That man suffered. He, what he did, [29:27] what he went through because he knew the election was rigged. And he did it. He didn't, I mean, [29:32] he just did it as a citizen. Mike Lindell. [30:44] Only Fox put up the charts. Fox put them up in all fairness. When we get angry at Fox, we have to [30:50] remember that they put up the charts. So you could start putting them up now if you want. But we put up [30:55] these beautiful charts. But I very much like the chart from Butler, PA. I like that much better. And they have a great young [32:24] woman taking his place who happens to be Hispanic and happens to be phenomenal. She's going to do a [32:30] great job. But they fired Chris Christie. And guess you know why he wanted to eat all the time. [32:38] No, they fired him. He was bad news. But I'd say ABC is the worst of the networks. I would then say [32:48] NBC is horrible. I mean, just horrible. They had this guy on this fake guy, the fake senator. I call him [32:56] the fake senator from a place called Georgia, right? And he was talking about all the, you know, [33:03] things. He says he's a church leader. You know, it's funny. If you go on as a church leader, [33:09] they talk about church and state, right? He's allowed to talk about it. He said, I'm going back [33:13] to my church and I'm going to pray this morning. I'm going to talk about all these issues. Something's wrong with the president. Do you remember the rumor was that I had passed away? [42:46] Do you remember that? I won 28 days in a row. I took the kid to play golf. And we play very fast. She's [42:54] good. I'm a very good golfer. And we play very fast. We play in two hours. We didn't. I mean, [43:01] I said, baby, I got to get out of here. I'm sorry, honey. Enjoy your day. Do you remember? First day in 28 days, these people are sick. [43:35] That's why I've taken more physicals because I think you have an obligation to, you know, report. [43:41] And I hate when they put out false reports. So they put out a report that Donald Trump. [43:46] So I took a lot of physicals and I did something no other president's ever done. I took cognitive tests [43:51] because I know that, and by the way, not easy. You get to those last questions, those last 10, [43:59] 15 questions. Those, nobody on that stand could answer probably any of them. And I got them. I aced [44:07] them. And no other president's taken a cognitive test. Could you imagine Sleepy Joe taking a cognitive test? [44:14] I don't think it got the, you know, the first question is like, what is this? And they show a lion, [44:19] a giraffe, a fish, and a hippopotamus, right? And they say, which is the giraffe? So that's the only [44:31] question. But what happens is it then gets harder. I don't think Joe would have gotten the first [44:36] question right. He would say hippo. He was, I want the hippo. But anyway, but I've taken now three [44:46] cognitive tests. I've got, I've aced every single one of them. And these are, you know, this is a big [44:57] stuff. This is Walter Reed. You know, it's got a whole team of doctors all over the place. If you [45:01] get them wrong, I said, what do you think? Should I do it? They said, well, here's the good news. The [45:06] good news. If you do well, that's great. Actually, if you do well, they won't report it. If you do [45:10] badly, it's going to be the biggest story in history. They said, you know, it's possible that if you do [45:15] badly, the word will leak out and you'll look very bad. I said, this was on my first test. After that, [45:21] I knew that I can do very well, smart person. So what happens, what happens is first test. I said, [45:28] how hard is it? [45:53] And these are doctors that I don't even know. And they report it. And then I did it a third time [45:58] a few months ago and they reported, but it's very small reporting. But can you imagine if I, [46:04] if I did badly, right? Could you imagine that front row Joe, would I be in trouble? [46:09] They'd say, there's something wrong, but I like to do it. But, uh, I gave a perfect, [46:15] I got a perfect health and, uh, they reported his health is perfect. And they interpret that [46:22] and the fake news interprets when the doctor says he's got perfect health. They go, [46:32] what does he mean by perfect? There's something wrong with the press. These people are sick. [46:37] Now there will be a time when perhaps it won't be a hundred percent true with all of us, right? [46:45] And when that time comes, I will let you know about it. In fact, you'll probably find out about it. [46:50] Just by watching. But that time is not now because I feel the same that I felt for 50 years. [46:57] But we haven't, uh, you know, I think we have an obligation to, [47:10] you know, be at least report your health. But I, I will tell you the, to me, because of what [47:15] happened for four years, I really think having a cognitive test for presidents to take a cognitive [47:21] test is very important. I think it's very important. I'm hearing that they say it's, you know, [47:27] not with, with Biden. They said it was not constitutional. That was the least of his problems. [47:34] But I think it's very important that a president or people running for president and vice president [47:41] take a cognitive test. I mean, I think it's a very important thing. I don't know. [47:45] They say you shouldn't do that. It's unjust. It's not constitution. They say all these things, [47:50] but I do. I do. I really believe that under Trump, wages are rising much faster than inflation for the [47:56] first time in many years. Think of that. Wages are rising faster than inflation. That's what it's all [48:03] about, right? And we're delivering lower prices and bigger paychecks. And the wage chart that you see [48:10] up there is incredible there that, you know, NBC didn't put up and the networks didn't put up. [48:16] There are more people working today than at any time in American history. And very importantly, [48:26] while tens of thousands of new jobs under Biden were government jobs, they were government jobs. [48:32] I could do that right now. You saw it today. We had 4.5% inflation. That's because [48:37] I'm letting go of tremendous numbers of government workers. We're replacing them. In fact, [48:46] we've reduced the federal workforce by 270,000 jobs. That's not to be mean. That's to get them off. [48:53] And they are getting jobs in the private sector, and we're helping them to get jobs. But if you have [49:00] all government jobs, we're going to be, you know, a country that we don't want to mention names because [49:05] we don't want to insult. But we're going to be a country that cannot be great. 100% just came out. [49:12] 100% of all jobs created since I took office have been in the private sector. The only way to make [49:18] our country great. Think of that one. Think of that 100% of the jobs created are in the private sector. [49:32] Now, if I want to make some good numbers, I'll add 300,000 jobs. I can do it with one phone call. [49:41] Hire each agency. Hire 25,000 people today. They hire them immediately. They pour in. [49:48] And the 4.5% would be down to 2.5% in a matter of moments. I could get it down to zero. Hire a couple [49:55] of million workers, please. Oh, the country's booming. We're down to zero. But [49:59] that's the destruction of a country. That's what Biden used to do. They used to hire [50:05] 10 people for one job. They'd have 10 people, like, would look at a job and would say, [50:10] one person can do the job. But let's give it a break. Let's do two instead of, [50:14] and they'd have like nine people for one job. And that's really tantamount to a failed country. [50:21] In four years, the last administration secured less than $1 trillion in new investments in our [50:26] country. Think of that, four years less than one. Four years, four years, the whole term, [50:33] less than $1 trillion. In 10 months, I have secured a record-breaking $18 trillion more. [50:45] They gave us doom and gloom, and I'm building the Trump economic boom. It's a boom. It's a boom. [50:52] You know, these factories, auto plants, AI plants, we've never had anything like it. I ended the radical [50:58] left's war on American energy, terminated the Green News scam, and signed an order to drill, [51:06] baby, drill. We're drilling. You see where gasoline's coming down? Gasoline is now substantially lower [51:14] than $2.50 a gallon. And many, many places now are under $2 a gallon for gasoline. And within the [51:27] next 12 months, we will have opened 1,600 new electrical generating plants. One that's a record [51:36] of all time. Because, you know, we need tremendous amounts of electricity for AI and for all these [51:43] plants. Electricity prices will fall very dramatically when these plants are open. To protect North Carolina [51:50] workers, we impose 25% tariffs on foreign automobiles, 50% tariffs on foreign steel, and I approve 25%, 30%, [51:58] and 50% tariffs to save North Carolina's cherished furniture industry, which has been decimated by China. [52:11] You know, I used to come here a lot for one reason. I'd build hotels, and I'd build different [52:17] buildings, and I'd come here to your furniture area. I used to love it. Those people were so talented. [52:23] I'd buy so much furniture. And that was before politics. I did great. I did. I was very good at [52:30] real estate, I would tell you. But I used to come to North Carolina to buy furniture for lobbies or [52:35] furniture for hotels. And I was here a lot. I mean, you've been decimated, but it's coming back now because [52:42] I put tariffs on big, big tariffs, actually. But I remember I'd say to a guy, I like that chair. [52:48] You don't realize what I did. I would look at a chair, the arm of a chair was very important to [52:53] me. I said, I like that chair, but this arm has to be a different shape. And you got to chisel that. [52:59] I'm a very aesthetic person, believe me. Except with women. I don't care what a woman looks like. [53:04] I used to say beautiful. Now I don't care. Since politics, I never mentioned looks anymore. [53:10] The most beautiful woman can walk right across. I don't even look at her anymore. [53:15] Because in politics, that's the sign of death. They're all putting money in Trump accounts. It's for [59:52] kids. They get a certain age and they're going to have money. It's going to double and triple. [59:57] Hopefully it'll do well. Under this new program, the federal government will be creating an investment [1:00:05] savings account for every single newborn American child with $1,000 to be invested and grow over the [1:00:12] course of their life. So they'll reach 21 years and you know, it could be very good. They will consider [1:00:18] themselves rich. I mean, it's a lot of money actually. Friends, family, employers and loved ones will [1:00:24] be able to add thousands more each year like a trust fund for every American child. It's something [1:00:30] that people have wanted to do. But honestly, I give Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dell Dell can go out and buy a [1:00:38] computer from Dell because I'll tell you what, they really, they love the country. Great people. Every [1:00:45] single Democrat in Congress voted against these incredible benefits. Every single Democrat said no, [1:00:52] including a guy named Don Davis right here from this district. He voted against it. That's why [1:00:59] you got to vote against him. Don Davis voted against no tax on overtime. He voted against no tax on tips. [1:01:08] And he voted for the largest tax increase in American history. He wanted the largest and he's your [1:01:13] congressman. So I don't know if you know him. And then [1:07:04] we went on to win the election all three times. So we won six in a row. I've never had a loss with him. [1:07:09] And when I won the I mean, look, we did phenomenal. It turned out, you know, we won three times in a row, [1:07:16] just so you understand. I don't mean here. I mean, although we won three in a row, they might have [1:07:21] done us a favor. But we won three in a row. But when we got screwed in the second election, [1:07:29] it didn't happen over here. He had 601 lawyers he hired. They had lawyers at every single ballot box. [1:07:36] And other people were cheating in other states that we won by a lot. And they were cheating. [1:07:41] You could see it go. Here we are. Wah, wah. Do you remember they have ballots all of a sudden? [1:07:47] We just found 75,000 ballots, a total rigged deal. And by the way, you have not heard the last of that, [1:07:54] I can tell you. In this state, that didn't happen because you had a guy named Michael Watley. And he [1:08:04] he had every box secured. He had, I think, two or three lawyers at every station. But he had over [1:08:10] 600 lawyers, I think 600. And I said, how many lawyers did you have 601? I said, that's like [1:08:15] genius. He was ahead of it. And you'd watch, you know, people went to bed that night. Everyone said [1:08:21] the election's over, Trump won. And then all of a sudden, they woke up in the morning and [1:08:26] three o'clock in the morning. They found hundreds of thousands of votes in some of these states. [1:08:31] It was a rigged election, but not here because of him. And I said, I don't know if I'm doing this [1:08:37] again. But if I'm doing this again, I want Michael Watley, I said, the guy from North Carolina, [1:08:42] I want him to head the Republican National Committee, the RNC. And he did it. He did it beautifully. [1:08:51] Come on up, Michael. Come up. He did it so well. And we had the big election when he worked with [1:08:59] Laura. Now, how good is Laura? Laura Trump, who was born here, loves this state so much. [1:09:08] She could have done very well. By the way, I think Ted Budd is doing a very good job, too. [1:09:12] I have to tell you. And I will say this. Tom Tillis fought with me for the Lumbee tribe. The [1:09:23] Lumbee. I love the Lumbee. And he's really been very good. You know, we had a little dispute, [1:09:31] but these are, you know, it's fine. He's been really good. Tom has been very, very good. And [1:09:35] I appreciate it very much. And he's been very strong on the Lumbee tribe. And I think they're going to get [1:09:41] out and they're going to vote. The Lumbees, you have some here. You have some of the leaders here. We got to get every one of those 60,000 votes or [1:09:57] whatever. We got to get them for this guy. But the Lumbees have been great. I've been with them from [1:10:01] the beginning. We got them. And I said, if I do this again, I'm going to get that [1:10:14] guy in North Carolina who wouldn't let that phony, you know, they tried here too. They couldn't get [1:10:20] away with it. They tried. He stopped it. He's a tough, strong guy. He's also a wonderful human being, [1:10:27] a great, he's just a great person. And I want to tell you him and Laura Trump were, there's never been [1:10:33] a better team. In fact, I said, if you before he did this, I said, if you had your choice for [1:10:39] anybody to be your coach here, who would you pick? He said, I'd take Laura Trump again, right? [1:10:45] You did say that. But I'd like to have Michael say he's in a fight against a radical left governor who [1:10:51] did a shitty job for you. And I really want you either way, but either governor, either governor, [1:11:00] because you have another governor, that's a Democrat, you know, every virtually I think [1:11:05] every, every state run by a Democrat is a failure. Think of it. And now your state with all these [1:11:12] killings, I never heard of killings. But all of a sudden, and they came in through Biden with his [1:11:17] open border craziness. And these are vicious people. But I want this man to say just a few words, [1:11:24] because it's so important that he wins. You don't want to have a radical left senator that basically [1:11:31] wants to have open borders, transgender for everybody, men playing in women's sports. [1:11:37] Michael, are you in favor of men in women's sports? I am not. [1:11:40] Are you in favor of transgender for everybody? I am not. [1:11:43] Are you in favor of open borders? Thank you. [1:11:51] You know, in 2015, Donald Trump came down that golden escalator, said he was going to make [1:11:58] America great again. And he was going to do it by rebuilding our economy, restoring our borders, [1:12:06] and making America respected around the world again. And I said, I'm with that guy. And we won [1:12:14] in 2016. And we won in 2020. And thank the Lord that we won in 2024. And Donald Trump right now is [1:12:25] serving as the most transformational president in our lifetime. And President Trump, my pledge to you [1:12:35] is this. When I win this seat, when I am the next senator from North Carolina, I am going to be a [1:12:41] fighter every day for this great state. I am going to be a conservative champion for North Carolina, [1:12:48] and I am going to be an ally to our great president, not just the 45th president, but the 47th president [1:12:56] as well, Donald J. Trump. What a great guy he is. So get out and work for him. I hope you can get your [1:13:17] group of about 70 women to go out and do it. We can get all the front rows and we got to win. But I also want to express my [1:13:29] condolences to the people of this state and to the loved ones of NASCAR legend, Greg Biffle, who [1:13:37] perished yesterday in a tragic plane crash with his family in Statesville. I met him twice. He was [1:13:44] just a great young man. And what a tragedy that is with his whole family. So I just want to pay [1:13:51] our condolences, our love. Please, please. I'll tell you, North Carolina will never forget them. He [1:14:01] was and his family were incredible people. Together, we've achieved more in less than one year than [1:14:07] most other administrations achieved in eight years, which is true. Most of them didn't achieve [1:14:12] much. Within a matter of weeks, we ended the invasion of our southern border. For the past [1:14:17] seven months, zero illegal aliens have been allowed into our country. Think of that zero. And that's made [1:14:23] up by Democrats. A feat which everyone said was impossible. Biden and the radical left Democrats in [1:14:30] Congress turned North Carolina into a dumping ground for tens of thousands of third world migrants [1:14:36] driving up your rent and your housing costs. According to a government report, over 60% of [1:14:42] growth in the rental market came from foreign migrants paid for by the federal government, [1:14:47] by the way, paid for by the federal government, you the taxpayer, mass migration fueled mass inflation. [1:14:55] But now we are fixing it. And we have record setting deportations. And we're really focused on the bad [1:15:02] people. We're really focused on the bad people. We have farmers who have who are great people. [1:15:08] They know what they're doing. But we're focused on the bad ones. We're getting the really we're [1:15:11] getting the murderers, the drug dealers. We're getting the ones from prisons. We're getting them [1:15:16] the hell out of here. We're focused very strongly on that. For the first time in 50 years, we're seeing [1:15:22] reverse migration as migrants go back home. We say go back home, please. And we want the bad ones to go back [1:15:29] home because those are the ones that caused the problem. And think of Washington, D.C. So I mean, [1:15:34] outside of the terrorism attack from three weeks ago. And by the way, that young, beautiful man is [1:15:41] doing well, you know, they we thought we lost both of them. And we lost one who's looking down on us right [1:15:49] now. But looks like he just stood up. Can you believe it? He stood up today for the first time. [1:15:56] Two great people. Sarah's looking down on us and from heaven. She was incredible doing so well. [1:16:07] But he's doing they were both about the same. We thought we lost both of them. [1:16:12] Hit the same area. If you can believe it, he was hit hard. But he's and his mother, Monica, [1:16:18] I spoke to her the night of Sir, he'll be OK. Every doctor was saying he doesn't have much of a chance. [1:16:24] And she said, Sir, I'm telling you, I know my boy is going to be fine. I can't believe it. And [1:16:31] literally, actually yesterday, he stood up and he's talking a little bit. I mean, [1:16:37] the whole thing is incredible. The mother, I've never seen anybody. I never saw anything like it. [1:16:43] And she was so positive. She said, I'm praying and everybody's praying. The whole country is praying. [1:16:48] There's no way he's going to have any problem. He's going to be just fine. It was [1:16:52] it's not even that he was going to make it. It was like, he's going to be fine. Incredible person. [1:16:57] In the year before my election, all that job creation was going to foreign migrants. All of it, [1:17:03] 100%. Since I took office, 100% of all net job creation has gone to American born citizens. [1:17:11] The migrant invasion also brought massive crime. What's happening with the killings in North [1:17:17] Carolina is indescribable. I mean, for the first time, you're in national news all the time with [1:17:21] the killings. That's because you're run by Democrats. Two weeks ago, an illegal alien from [1:17:27] Honduras who entered under Biden walked onto a train in Charlotte with a large knife and brutally [1:17:34] stabbed a passenger multiple times in the chest. The same savage criminal alien had previously been [1:17:41] arrested two months earlier, but he was released by authorities to pillage and kill, which he did. [1:17:48] Also recently in this state, you saw this one. Nobody could watch it. Another monstrous criminal [1:17:56] with 14 prior arrests plunged a knife into the throat of an innocent young, beautiful girl, Ukraine. [1:18:05] She was from Ukraine who was sitting on a train. You could see all, she was scared to be there. You [1:18:11] could see that, right? Everybody knows what I'm talking about. She was, she walked onto the train. [1:18:16] She was afraid to be there. What happened to North Carolina? You didn't have that condition. And then [1:18:23] she was attacked from behind violently by the savage. No one can ever forget that look of shock [1:18:29] and terror on the young woman's face. It happened so fast as her murderer walked down the train car [1:18:36] dripping with blood all over. Passengers are looking at him. They're saying, what is that? There's blood [1:18:40] pouring out of, from every part of him, from the knife. For years, radical left politicians have [1:18:46] been releasing bloodthirsty, violent offenders and criminal aliens back onto your streets under our [1:18:51] leadership. We're finally getting illegal aliens and vicious felons off the streets and throwing them [1:18:57] out of our country, or in some cases, putting them in the toughest jails in the world. Because [1:19:03] frankly, we don't want to let them into their country because we don't want to take a chance that these [1:19:09] animals will come back. We're restoring law and order in America. We just made a record [1:19:22] investment in our military and gave every service member a warrior dividend of $1,776. 1776. [1:19:32] And I'm also pleased to announce that just two hours ago, we hit the ISIS thugs in Syria who were [1:19:39] trying to regroup after their decimation by the Trump administration five years ago. We hit them hard. [1:19:46] I ordered a massive strike on the terrorists that killed our three great patriots last week. Two [1:19:54] soldiers, one interpreter, all great people. And it was very successful. It was precision. We hit every [1:20:01] site flawlessly and we are restoring peace through strength. We're all over the world. I settled eight [1:20:08] wars in 10 months, destroyed the Iran nuclear threat, ended the war in Gaza, and got the release of hostages, [1:20:15] both living and dead, and created peace in the Middle East. We have peace in the Middle East. [1:20:20] First time in three years, peace in the Middle East. I cut federal funding for any school that [1:20:26] pushes critical race theory or transgender insanity. And we completely banned the chemical and surgical [1:20:37] mutilation of children. Can you believe I'm standing here? 2025 talking about I banned the surgical [1:20:53] mutilation of children. Could you imagine 15 years ago saying that people would say, [1:20:57] This guy's crazy. What the hell is he talking? The surgical mutilation of children. I banned it. [1:21:03] And it's a wonderful thing I did. But can you imagine having to even say it? [1:21:27] Have you seen the long distance race? One of these races go all day that champion women, [1:21:32] they had some very good men, but not the champions. And one man won the race by five hours and 14 minutes [1:21:41] and 12 seconds. Five hours, 14 minutes. Think of that. Won the race by five hours. What do you do? [1:21:48] Your parents go back home, go to sleep for a few hours and come back and meet your daughter and she's [1:21:53] supposed to be thrilled. What kind of crap is that? Or the weightlifting records where people [1:21:59] that never lifted a weight before are going into the women who are fighting national championships, [1:22:05] almost Olympic championships, and they're lifting 112 pounds more and they've never done it before. [1:22:12] Or the boxers that are getting decimated. You saw the Olympics where they had two [1:22:18] people that they converted to from men to women. They did a conversion. And the one young woman from [1:22:29] Italy, a championship boxer, she got hit by a left jab, a left jab for those that don't do the, [1:22:35] just like a defensive punch. She got hit. She walked to her corner. She said, I've never been hit like [1:22:40] that. I quit. Then they said, no, no, go out. You can do it. And then he gave her another left jab. [1:22:46] That was it. I'm pretty sure it was [1:22:59] that stupid show. And, and they had a Congressman that you all know, a Democrat saying, no, no, [1:23:06] we have to allow men to play in women's sports. Where do these people come from? Or how about open [1:23:13] borders? They're fighting for open borders. If I didn't get elected, our country would be ruined. [1:23:18] We would have, we would have not had a country. I'm telling you, I'm not bragging about myself. [1:23:22] I'm saying we would not have had a country. [1:24:33] They looked at both. And she's a very meticulous person, you know, like these people, just like [1:24:40] she'd fit into your group very well. She'd be very happy with her.
