[0:00] sparkler in the other, fireworks overhead, surrounded by friends and neighbors. [0:08] I remember then how deeply proud I felt to be an American. [0:16] And that feeling has never, ever left me. [0:20] Now, here we are, here we are, 250 years after 1776. [0:28] It is such an honor to pass on that tremendous sense of pride and patriotism to the next generation [0:37] of young and young at heart Americans, and to welcome all of you to the kickoff celebration [0:44] of a truly once-in-a-lifetime event, the Great American State Fair. [0:50] In the coming days, visitors from all 50 states and all over the world will come to our sparkling [1:04] capital city to experience the National Mall like never before. [1:11] And while they are here, they will form lifelong memories of America's big 250th birthday party [1:19] and gain a renewed sense of pride in our exceptional country. [1:24] From the moment these gates here open at 10 a.m. each morning to late at night each beautiful [1:38] summer evening, this is the premier destination for you and for your loved ones to commemorate [1:46] our 250th. [1:49] Here in the heart of our nation's capital, you are not only steps away from iconic monuments, [1:56] museums, and memorials. [1:58] During the Great American State Fair, you will experience everything from that magnificent [2:04] Ferris wheel to get a fantastic view of Washington, D.C., to movie screenings, rodeos, concerts, [2:13] military flyovers, and a roaring patriotic spirit that will bring America's 250th to life [2:22] for every member of the family. [2:24] And, you know, the celebration doesn't stop here. [2:33] This birthday party will continue from sea to shining sea. [2:39] In the coming days, our nation will enjoy an iconic Mount Rushmore celebration, [2:46] an international parade of majestic ships in New York, [2:51] and, of course, the biggest fireworks display of all time right here on July 4th. [2:58] These events are so much more than just dates on a calendar. [3:10] This is a moment that will inspire a new era of American greatness as we honor our extraordinary [3:17] history, cherish our God-given freedoms, and look to the future with optimism, excitement, [3:26] and, yes, love of country. [3:28] This movement, uniting our country to commemorate its 250th birthday, has no greater champion [3:42] than President Donald J. Trump. [3:46] None of this would have been possible without him and his tremendous leadership and vision [3:58] to make this great celebration possible for all Americans. [4:02] Now, we have a very special evening ahead as we launch the fair and pay tribute to all 56 states [4:11] and territories with grandeur, ceremony, inspiration, and, of course, fun. [4:19] So please enjoy the sights and sounds of America's big birthday party on this absolutely gorgeous summer night, [4:26] and welcome to the Great American State Fair. [4:30] God bless you, and may God continue to bless the United States of America. [4:40] Thank you so much. [4:54] Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the 55th United States Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum, [5:00] and the 33rd United States Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins. [5:04] Good evening, America. [5:13] Are you ready for a celebration? [5:18] What do you think about this Marine Band that's been playing so far? [5:21] Aren't they fantastic? [5:22] Let's give it up for them. [5:25] Who is excited to celebrate 250 years of the greatest country in the history of the world? [5:35] Welcome, everyone. [5:42] My name is Brooke Rollins. [5:44] I have the honor of a lifetime to be your Secretary of Agriculture, [5:48] and I know I speak for our great Secretary of the Interior, Doug Burgum, [5:52] when I say what an incredible honor it is to welcome you to this, [5:58] the official kickoff of the great American State Fair. [6:02] Welcome, everyone. [6:07] Americans from every corner of our country have gathered here tonight, [6:12] from the wheat fields of Kansas to the deserts of Arizona, [6:17] from the Gulf Coast of New England, from Alaska to Hawaii, and everywhere in between, [6:26] America is here. [6:28] And there could be no more fitting place to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday [6:35] than right now, right here, at the Great American State Fair. [6:39] Over the next 16 days, right here on the National Mall, [6:48] Americans will experience something unlike any other country has seen in generations. [6:55] That is a modern-day World's Fair, a celebration of the people, the traditions, [7:02] the innovations, and the spirit that have made America the greatest nation on earth. [7:08] More than 150 exhibits from the nation's states and territories will be on display. [7:15] You'll enjoy music and movies and cultural performances and agricultural exhibits, [7:22] family attractions, spectacular flyovers, [7:25] and one of the most iconic sights in Washington this summer, [7:29] a giant Ferris wheel rising above the National Mall. [7:34] Over two centuries ago, state fairs began as harvest-time agricultural showcases [7:45] that helped promote American-made products [7:48] as the nation grew more economically independent from Great Britain. [7:53] Restricted trade surrounding the War of 1812 inspired rural New Englanders [7:59] to exhibit their livestock, to exhibit their produce, [8:02] and handicrafts in lively competitions, [8:05] spotlighting the best of Republican localism and agrarian self-governance, [8:11] the very best of America. [8:13] And for the next two weeks, the very best of America [8:17] is gathered right here in Washington, D.C. [8:20] Every state has a story to tell. [8:29] Every state has heroes to honor. [8:32] Every state has traditions worth celebrating. [8:34] But most importantly, every state is part of one family, [8:40] one people, and one nation under God. [8:50] Tonight, tomorrow, and for the next two weeks, [8:53] we will be celebrating all of our states. [8:56] We celebrate our communities. [8:58] And above all, we celebrate the ties that bind us together [9:02] as the United States of America. [9:05] Doug, you have had a front-row seat [9:13] to so much of the incredible Freedom 250 celebrations [9:17] taking place across this great country. [9:21] Tell us a little bit about what America has in store [9:25] over the coming weeks and months. [9:28] Well, thank you, Brooke. [9:29] And what an amazing Secretary of Agriculture we have, [9:32] best ever right here. [9:34] Thank you, Brooke, for you and your team, [9:35] everything you've done to make this fair possible. [9:37] Incredible. Great work. [9:38] But, Brooke, what strikes me is the sheer scale [9:43] of what we're celebrating across our entire nation [9:46] and how we're celebrating. [9:48] For a quarter of a millennia, 250 years, [9:51] America's we've been building, exploring, inventing, [9:55] farming, ranching, serving, [9:57] but most of all, dreaming big and daring greatly. [10:01] And this year, we're celebrating that story [10:04] in some of the most treasured places in our nation, [10:06] including right here on the National Mall, [10:10] an iconic spot that the National Park Service [10:13] has stewarded for generations. [10:15] We kicked off our 250th celebration right here [10:18] with an incredible light show like we've never seen before, [10:21] illuminating the Washington Monument on all four sides [10:24] in an emotional retelling of the amazing history of America. [10:29] We've got Freedom Trucks that are driving across our country, [10:31] bringing mobile museums to small towns and cities [10:34] across the United States, and in just a few days, [10:38] President Trump will join Americans from across the country [10:42] in my home state in North Dakota in the Badlands [10:46] for the grand opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library [10:49] at the entrance to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. [10:58] It was in those rugged hills and those open prairies [11:00] that young Teddy Roosevelt discovered something profound [11:04] about himself and about our country. [11:07] As he reshaped himself from a sickly young child [11:10] to a strong rough-and-tumble cowboy, the rough rider, [11:13] becoming the only president to ever win the Medal of Honor [11:16] in military service, [11:18] he understood that Americans are capable of extraordinary things [11:21] when they fuse to settle and they choose to dare greatly. [11:25] That is the spirit that built America. [11:28] It's the spirit that carved homes out of the wilderness, [11:30] built towering cities, [11:31] won wars to defend our freedoms [11:34] and the freedoms of this world, [11:36] and carried our nation from 13 little colonies [11:39] to the greatest republic in the history of the world. [11:43] And that story continues across our country, [11:51] and it's told at all of our national park facilities, [11:54] but especially at places like Mount Rushmore, [11:57] where four great presidents look out across the American landscape, [12:01] where fireworks will again light up the sky [12:03] on the eve of our 250th anniversary. [12:05] And here in Washington, [12:07] we're making D.C. safe and beautiful, [12:10] revitalizing this capital city [12:12] to reflect the greatness of the American people. [12:16] President Trump, with his leadership, [12:23] has said we want to make our capital, [12:25] not only if it's the greatest country in the world, [12:27] that this ought to be the most beautiful [12:28] and the most safe capital in the world, [12:30] and we're doing that under his leadership. [12:32] We're restoring monuments, [12:33] improving public spaces, [12:35] bringing fountains back to life, [12:37] and preparing America's front yard [12:39] to welcome visitors from across the nation [12:41] and around the world. [12:43] And because the capital [12:44] of the greatest republic in human history, [12:47] it should be worthy of you, [12:49] the people that are represented here. [12:52] And in just a few days, [12:53] Americans will gather right here once again [12:55] for an unforgettable 4th of July celebration, [12:58] including the biggest and grandest display [13:01] our nation and the world has ever seen. [13:05] From coast to coast, [13:12] Americans are coming together [13:13] to celebrate 250 years of freedom, [13:17] and that's what makes this such an incredible moment. [13:20] Well, really, that's exactly right, Doug Burgum. [13:22] How about a big round of applause [13:23] for our great Secretary of the Interior? [13:26] And you're right, Doug, [13:31] when you walk around Washington, D.C., [13:33] not only is it safe again, [13:35] but it is beautiful again. [13:37] Thank you, President Trump, [13:39] and thank you, Secretary Burgum. [13:45] For all our differences, [13:46] there are still some things that unite, [13:49] or at least should unite, every American. [13:52] A love of country, [13:54] pride in our heritage, [13:56] gratitude for those who came before us, [13:59] and especially those who gave it all [14:02] and died for the freedom [14:04] that has made tonight possible. [14:07] God bless all of our veterans, [14:09] our soldiers, [14:09] and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice [14:12] for this 250th year of freedom [14:16] in the United States of America. [14:30] USA. [14:31] A determination to leave this nation stronger [14:47] for our children and our grandchildren. [14:51] Yes, that's the American story, [14:55] and it's still being written. [14:56] And as Brooke gave a shout-out to our incredible military, [14:59] I want to give a shout-out to an amazing group, [15:02] founded in 1791 by George Washington himself, [15:06] the group that has the law enforcement responsibility [15:09] for these monuments, [15:10] the Statue of Liberty, [15:11] the Golden Gate Recreation Area, [15:13] none other than our very own [15:15] United States Park Police. [15:17] They're here tonight. [15:18] They're keeping you safe. [15:19] Let's give it up for all those U.S. Park Police, [15:21] all the Secret Service that are here tonight, [15:23] all of our law enforcement. [15:40] For 250 years, [15:42] Americans have crossed oceans, [15:44] settled frontiers, [15:45] built communities, [15:47] raised families, [15:48] defended liberty, [15:50] and through innovation, [15:51] not regulation, [15:52] through innovation, [15:53] they've created enormous prosperity, [15:55] making us the most abundant [15:57] and richest country in the world. [15:58] Now, today, [16:02] next week, [16:03] July 4th, [16:04] 2026, [16:06] it falls to us [16:07] to carry that story forward. [16:10] America is a vast, [16:12] a beautiful, [16:13] and abundant country, [16:14] but it's up to all of us [16:16] to preserve this great inheritance, [16:19] to strengthen it, [16:21] to celebrate it, [16:22] and to pass it on [16:24] by the grace of Almighty God. [16:33] As we close, [16:34] we want to again share our gratitude [16:35] with all of you that are here [16:37] and all of you that are watching, [16:39] because if you're here tonight, [16:40] it means one thing. [16:41] It means that you care about this country. [16:43] You care about its future. [16:45] You care about your children [16:46] and your children's children. [16:47] And you care about the fact [16:49] that we have things to celebrate [16:50] in each of our 50 states, [16:52] in each of our amazing six territories. [16:55] So if you're here in person, [16:56] enjoy the American State Fair. [16:59] If you are not here, [17:00] you've got 16 days to get here [17:03] to see this incredible, [17:05] amazing celebration of America. [17:07] So join us as we honor [17:09] these 250 years of American greatness. [17:12] And with your help, [17:13] we begin writing the next chapter [17:15] of the great American story. [17:18] That's right. [17:19] God bless you. [17:21] God bless our President Donald J. Trump. [17:28] And God bless these, [17:30] the United States of America. [17:33] Thank you, everybody. [17:34] God bless you. [17:34] Thank you. [17:35] Thank you, and happy 250, America. [17:44] Representing all 56 states and territories, [17:47] please welcome [17:47] the United States Ceremonial Flag Unit, [17:49] accompanied by the President's own [17:51] United States Marine Band. [19:29] Ladies and gentlemen, [19:29] please rise if you're able [19:30] for the presentation of colors [19:32] and the singing of our national anthem, [19:34] performed by Alexis Wilkins. [19:36] Now in tribute to the men and women [22:58] who have defended our freedoms, [23:00] performing Toby Keith's iconic patriotic anthem, [23:03] courtesy of the red, white, and blue, [23:04] Please welcome Master Gunnery Sergeant [23:07] Alan Prather of the President's own [23:09] United States Marine Band. [23:15] American girls, American guys, [23:19] we'll always stand up and salute. [23:21] We'll always recognize [23:23] when we see a bull reply. [23:26] There's a lot of men dead [23:28] so we can sleep in peace at night [23:31] when we lay down our... [23:36] My daddy served in the Army [23:38] before he lost his right eye, [23:40] but he flew a flag out in the yard. [23:42] Till the day that he died, [23:44] he wanted my mother, [23:46] a brother, a sister, and me [23:49] to grow up and live happy [23:51] in the land of the free. [23:54] Now this nation that I love [23:55] has fallen under attack. [23:58] A mighty sucker punch came flying in [24:00] from somewhere in the back. [24:03] As soon as we could see clearly, [24:05] we were big black guys, [24:06] and we'd lit up your world [24:09] like the 4th of July. [24:11] And just the day top of his list [24:17] that the Statue of Liberty [24:19] started shaking her fist. [24:22] And if you will, [24:23] there's gonna be hell [24:26] when you hear Mother Freedom [24:28] start ringing her band. [24:30] And he'll back up to you [24:40] courtesy of the red, white, and blue. [25:01] Justice will be served [25:03] and the battle will reign. [25:05] This big dog will fight [25:08] when you rattle his cape. [25:10] You'll be sorry that you missed [25:12] the U.S. of A. [25:15] Because it's the American way. [25:22] At the top of his list, [25:26] the Statue of Liberty [25:28] started shaking her fist. [25:30] And he can't even know [25:36] they've started ringing [25:37] courtesy of the red. [25:51] Ladies and gentlemen, [29:46] as we pause to reflect [29:47] on the blessings of liberty and faith [29:49] that has guided our nation [29:50] throughout its history. [29:52] To deliver tonight's [29:53] spiritual invocation, [29:54] please welcome [29:55] Pastor Jettison Franklin. [29:57] Being from eastern North Carolina [30:07] as a child, [30:08] I was raised near Fort Bragg [30:10] that is now Fort Liberty. [30:12] And when I heard that jet fly over, [30:16] I immediately went back [30:18] to my childhood [30:19] when they used to have [30:20] around the airplane base there [30:23] signs on the interstate [30:25] that said, [30:28] pardon the noise, [30:29] it's the sound of freedom. [30:33] Can you make some noise [30:34] for the greatest nation [30:37] on the planet? [30:38] In God we trust. [30:44] If you would stand to your feet, [30:46] we're going to pray. [30:47] And this is going to be [30:50] the greatest celebration [30:52] in 250 years of liberty and freedom. [30:55] In the book of Leviticus, [30:58] chapter 25 and verse 10, [31:02] the Bible says, [31:03] proclaim liberty [31:04] throughout all the land [31:07] and to the inhabitants thereof. [31:12] God let us know [31:14] in that scripture [31:15] that liberty and freedom [31:17] are his gift [31:19] to us [31:22] that are alive [31:25] and get to come [31:26] and become citizens [31:28] of the United States of America, [31:30] the greatest country [31:32] in the world. [31:33] and I'm going to ask you [31:36] to do what our forefathers did [31:39] like George Washington [31:41] when he kneeled in the snow [31:45] and prayed with the troops [31:46] like the pilgrims [31:49] at Plymouth Rock [31:51] when they bowed down [31:53] and prayed [31:54] at the very beginning days [31:56] of the birth of this nation. [31:58] God breathed life [32:00] into this nation [32:01] and he's not done yet. [32:03] and we are here [32:05] to acknowledge again [32:07] that God is still real. [32:11] He loves this nation [32:12] and he hears [32:14] and answers prayer. [32:15] Would you pray with me [32:17] for America? [32:19] Lord, we come again [32:20] on this 250th birthday [32:23] and we thank you [32:24] for this nation. [32:26] We thank you, oh God, [32:28] for your faithfulness [32:29] throughout all the generations. [32:30] and we thank you [32:33] because you have brought us [32:36] to this moment [32:37] for such a time as this. [32:40] Please breathe on America again. [32:43] Lord, let your grace [32:44] begin to cover this nation [32:46] like never before. [32:48] We thank you, oh God, [32:50] for freedom of religion. [32:52] We thank you [32:52] that all religions [32:53] have a right to worship [32:55] as they desire. [32:57] But we also thank you [32:59] for our Christian roots, [33:00] oh God, in this nation. [33:02] And we thank you [33:03] for the cross [33:04] and we thank you [33:05] for the word of God [33:07] and we thank you [33:08] for freedom. [33:11] So bless this nation [33:12] and let your grace [33:14] flow from sea [33:16] to shining sea. [33:18] Oh God, we thank you [33:19] that your grace [33:20] is sufficient [33:21] for every challenge. [33:23] Touch our president. [33:25] Touch his cabinet. [33:26] Bless our Supreme Court. [33:28] Bless our Congress [33:29] and bless our Senate. [33:31] And Lord, I pray [33:32] thy kingdom come [33:34] and thy will be done. [33:35] Bless our young people. [33:37] Bless our children [33:38] and our children's children. [33:40] And lastly, oh God, [33:42] we ask you to send revival [33:44] to the churches [33:45] across America [33:47] until there is a proclamation. [33:50] Let freedom ring [33:51] from addiction, [33:54] from fear, [33:55] from anxiety, [33:56] and from shame and guilt [33:58] because of what you have provided [34:00] through grace [34:02] and through your salvation. [34:04] In your mighty name we pray. [34:07] Amen. [35:32] Performing the timeless [35:33] and inspiring Hallelujah [35:34] followed by a powerful rendition [35:36] of Ave Maria [35:37] accompanied by the president's own [35:39] United States Marine Band, [35:40] please welcome [35:41] Master Gunnery Sergeant [35:42] Kevin Bennear [35:43] and America's presidential tenor, [35:46] Christopher Macchio. [35:48] It was a secret chord [36:17] that David played [36:20] and it pleased the Lord [36:22] but you don't really care [36:25] for music, do you? [36:27] It goes like this, [36:32] the fourth affair, [36:34] minor father, [36:36] major lift, [36:38] the pin, [36:40] you saw her painting [37:15] on the roof of you [37:17] and the moonlight [37:20] overthrew you. [37:24] She tied you to a kitchen chair, [37:28] she broke your crown, [37:30] she cut your hair, [37:32] and from your lips [37:33] she drew the Hallelujah. [37:37] In this room [38:03] and I walk, Lord, [38:13] I've seen your flag [38:14] on a marble larch [38:16] and love is an act [38:19] we march is cold [38:21] and put in fear [39:12] that told the truth [39:15] come free. [45:17] Joining us for this [45:18] historic celebration, [45:19] Speaker of the House, [45:21] Mike Johnson, [45:22] Acting United States [45:25] Attorney General, [45:26] Todd Blanche, [45:29] Secretary of Education, [45:30] Linda McMahon, [45:34] Secretary of Labor, [45:35] Keith Sonderling, [45:37] Administrator of the Centers [45:39] for Medicare [45:39] and Medicaid Services, [45:41] Dr. Mehmet Oz, [45:42] Director of the Federal Bureau [45:45] of Investigation, [45:47] Cash Patel, [45:50] Secretary of Homeland Security, [45:52] Mark Wayne Mullen, [45:53] and we also recognize [45:56] the dedicated [45:57] National Park Service Rangers [45:58] and the officers [45:59] of the United States [46:00] Park Police [46:01] whose service helps preserve [46:02] and protect our nation's [46:03] most treasured places. [46:05] Please join us also [46:06] in acknowledging downrange [46:08] the United States Army's [46:09] career rock band [46:10] who just performed [46:10] Laura Branigan's Gloria, [46:12] the President's own [46:14] United States Marine Band [46:16] up in the direction [46:16] of Colonel Ryan Nowlin, [46:19] United States Marine Corps [46:20] and the Joint Armed Services [46:21] Corps for helping bring [46:22] tonight's celebration [46:23] to life. [46:25] We are honored to welcome [46:26] members of the diplomatic corps, [46:27] distinguished foreign dignitaries [46:29] from around the world, [46:30] and finally, [46:31] we recognize the most [46:32] important guests of all, [46:34] you sitting in those chairs [46:35] here on the National Mall, [46:36] Americans gathered all around [46:38] the country tonight, [46:39] the patriots, [46:40] the workers, [46:41] families, [46:41] veterans, [46:42] dreamers, [46:42] and citizens [46:43] whose love of country [46:44] has sustained this great [46:46] republic for 250 years. [46:48] Thank you for joining us [46:50] as we celebrate tonight [46:51] the United States of America. [46:54] We honor those who stand watch, [49:32] answer the call, [49:33] and dedicate their lives [49:34] to serve others. [49:35] Accompanied by the United States [49:36] Park Police [49:37] and National Park Service [49:39] Honor Guards, [49:40] please welcome the chairman [49:41] and CEO of the [49:42] Tunnel to Towers Foundation, [49:44] Frank Siller. [49:45] Thank you. [49:56] Today is a day of celebration. [49:59] You love America, [50:00] I love America, [50:02] and this is how we show it. [50:06] But it's also a time to remember [50:08] our freedoms, [50:11] our lives, [50:12] and everything we hold dear [50:13] are defended by the military [50:16] and service members, [50:18] police officers, [50:19] park rangers, [50:21] firefighters, [50:22] and all first responders [50:23] who volunteer to put themselves [50:26] in harm's way for us. [50:28] We especially honor those [50:31] who preserve our monuments, [50:34] memorials, [50:35] and the natural wonders [50:37] of this land [50:38] and protect the millions [50:40] of visitors [50:41] who explore [50:42] our national parks [50:44] each year. [50:46] The Parks Police [50:47] and the National Park Service [50:49] who never get a thank you, [50:52] but not tonight. [50:53] So let's say thank you, [50:55] thank you, thank you. [51:01] As chairman and CEO [51:03] of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, [51:06] when I think of [51:07] our first responders, [51:08] I hold closest in my heart [51:12] what happened 25 years ago. [51:16] On September 11, 2001, [51:19] our nation experienced [51:21] the deadliest terrorist attack [51:22] in American history. [51:25] Across the country, [51:26] we watched [51:27] as the World Trade Center crumbled. [51:31] A flight from Washington, D.C. [51:33] was hijacked [51:34] and flown into the Pentagon, [51:37] and 40 innocent people [51:40] perished in a field [51:41] in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. [51:43] I recently visited [51:46] Shanksville, Pennsylvania [51:47] with a piece of steel [51:49] from the South Tower [51:51] that came down 25 years ago. [51:53] It's 16,900 pounds. [51:57] It has the souls [51:58] of so many people [52:00] who perished that day, [52:01] and we're bringing it [52:02] all around America [52:03] to make sure [52:04] we never forget. [52:05] It was the first battle [52:07] that was fought [52:08] in the war against terrorism. [52:11] It was the 40 great heroes [52:13] that were on Flight 93 [52:15] that said, [52:18] as Todd Beamer said, [52:19] let's roll. [52:20] They took that plane down. [52:22] They turned it upside down [52:23] when they were taken over the cockpit. [52:25] It flew upside down [52:27] right over a school [52:29] and into a field [52:30] in Shanksville, [52:31] the first battle [52:33] on the global war on terror, [52:35] and those great heroes [52:36] won that battle. [52:39] In total, [52:42] 2,977 human beings [52:46] perished at the hands of hatred, [52:48] including my brother, [52:50] New York City firefighter, [52:51] Stephen Siller. [52:52] To this day, [52:54] many are still haunted [52:55] by the tragedy of 9-11. [52:58] It lives on [52:59] in all those [53:00] who suffer from 9-11-related illnesses, [53:04] in the more than 7,000 [53:06] military personnel [53:08] and families [53:09] who have lost their loved ones [53:11] in fighting [53:13] in the global war on terror, [53:15] and families like mine, [53:17] whose loved ones ran [53:19] towards and answered the call [53:21] as first responders [53:23] on that fateful day. [53:26] As I look out [53:27] at this incredible gathering [53:30] of families, [53:32] celebrating [53:33] and everything [53:35] that makes [53:36] this country [53:38] so great, [53:41] we must remember [53:42] the extraordinary sacrifices [53:45] of ordinary people [53:47] who give their lives [53:50] for us [53:50] and in doing so [53:52] become heroes. [54:00] Today, [54:01] we pause [54:03] to recognize [54:04] every innocent life [54:06] that was taken, [54:09] every first responder [54:11] who ran towards danger, [54:13] every service member [54:14] who answered the call [54:15] in the years [54:17] that followed 9-11. [54:20] The bravery, [54:21] heroism, [54:23] sacrifice, [54:24] and patriotism [54:25] displayed [54:26] by our first responders, [54:28] our military, [54:29] parks police, [54:31] park service rangers, [54:32] and forest rangers [54:34] is nothing short [54:36] of incredible. [54:39] So today, [54:41] as you explore [54:42] our nation's capital, [54:44] enjoy the beauty [54:46] of this natural, [54:48] of the National Mall, [54:51] and learn even more [54:52] about the heritage [54:53] and the history [54:54] of our country. [54:56] We must never forget [54:58] the fallen. [54:59] It is our duty [55:00] to ensure [55:01] that their names [55:02] are always remembered, [55:04] and that their memories [55:07] live on [55:08] through the work [55:09] we do [55:09] at the Tunnel to Towers [55:11] Foundation. [55:13] As a symbol [55:14] of our nation's gratitude, [55:17] I now invite [55:18] the Honor Guard [55:19] to lay a wreath [55:20] in their memory. [56:18] Welcome to 20th [1:01:28] United States [1:01:29] Secretary of Transportation, [1:01:31] Sean Duffy. [1:01:32] I think we have to give [1:01:51] a big round of applause [1:01:53] for our military band [1:01:55] and singers [1:01:56] way better [1:01:57] than those libtards [1:01:58] that canceled on us. [1:01:59] So much better. [1:02:01] Thank you, guys. [1:02:06] President Trump [1:02:06] will make you famous. [1:02:09] So I want to say [1:02:10] what an incredible evening [1:02:11] that we have [1:02:12] this amazing music, [1:02:15] we have flyovers, [1:02:17] and in just a few moments, [1:02:19] we're about to hear [1:02:20] from the greatest president [1:02:23] that's ever existed [1:02:24] in this country [1:02:25] since George Washington. [1:02:27] It's going to be great. [1:02:32] We're going to have [1:02:32] Ferris Wheel Rodeo. [1:02:34] We're going to have [1:02:35] Maha Mondays. [1:02:37] It's going to be awesome. [1:02:39] By the way, [1:02:41] I should probably [1:02:42] introduce my family. [1:02:42] I'm here with my wife, [1:02:43] Rachel Campos Duffy, [1:02:45] and five of my kids, [1:02:47] my son-in-law, [1:02:48] and my brand-new [1:02:50] baby granddaughter [1:02:51] who's not even a month old. [1:02:53] So welcome, everybody. [1:02:56] But I want you guys [1:02:57] to just put on your calendar, [1:02:58] it doesn't stop [1:02:59] on the 4th of July, okay? [1:03:02] August 23rd, [1:03:04] right here at the Capitol, [1:03:06] Grand Prix Race. [1:03:07] 190 miles an hour [1:03:10] around the mall, [1:03:12] IndyCars. [1:03:13] The last time we did this [1:03:15] was 1801, [1:03:17] and we raced horses. [1:03:19] So we're IndyCar, [1:03:21] and August 23rd, [1:03:22] it's going to be free. [1:03:23] So mark your calendars. [1:03:25] I don't know if, [1:03:26] have you guys noticed [1:03:27] that the FIFA World Cup [1:03:29] is going on right now? [1:03:32] America's doing pretty well. [1:03:34] What I find fascinating [1:03:35] is that all of these tourists [1:03:37] from around the world [1:03:38] have come to America, [1:03:39] and they've fallen in love. [1:03:42] They love our food, [1:03:43] our culture. [1:03:47] They love our parks, [1:03:50] the beauty of America. [1:03:51] They love the people of America. [1:03:53] They love that they get free refills [1:03:55] and soda when they go out to eat. [1:03:57] They love Costco. [1:03:59] They love Bass Pro. [1:04:02] And what's shocking [1:04:03] is that they were shocked [1:04:05] to love America [1:04:06] because they've been lied to [1:04:11] in their home countries [1:04:12] by the liberal media. [1:04:14] They've been told [1:04:15] that America is a dark [1:04:17] and dirty, violent place. [1:04:21] Well, now they've discovered [1:04:22] that that couldn't be further [1:04:23] from the truth. [1:04:26] So as these tourists [1:04:27] have come and discovered America, [1:04:30] I think on our 250th birthday, [1:04:33] it would only be appropriate [1:04:35] for us to rediscover America. [1:04:38] And I would suggest [1:04:40] the way you do that [1:04:41] is to gas up your car, [1:04:43] to pack up your kids, [1:04:45] to load up a cooler, [1:04:47] and do a great American road trip. [1:04:50] Hit the open road. [1:04:55] Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, [1:04:57] maybe the Smoky Mountains, [1:04:59] or just a park [1:05:00] that's a couple hours away [1:05:03] from your home. [1:05:04] But when you do this, [1:05:06] have your kids put their phones away [1:05:08] and reconnect with your family. [1:05:12] So important. [1:05:14] You know, speaking of families, [1:05:16] modern culture has told [1:05:18] our young people [1:05:19] that they shouldn't look for love. [1:05:22] They shouldn't have a family. [1:05:23] They shouldn't have kids. [1:05:24] Instead, focus on their education. [1:05:26] Focus on their careers. [1:05:28] Focus on their bank accounts. [1:05:31] Have a free Saturday morning [1:05:32] and go get a venti latte [1:05:33] with your friends at Starbucks. [1:05:35] That will give them joy [1:05:36] is what culture has told them. [1:05:39] This is the dumbest advice [1:05:40] that they could ever get. [1:05:45] What fills the human heart? [1:05:47] What gives us purpose? [1:05:50] We should look for love. [1:05:52] Get married. [1:05:53] And have lots of kids. [1:05:56] Right? [1:05:56] It's a lot of fun. [1:06:00] Right? [1:06:00] Best decision I made, [1:06:02] I met Rachel on a reality TV show [1:06:04] like 29 years ago. [1:06:06] We've been married for 27 years. [1:06:08] We're good Catholics. [1:06:09] We're open to life. [1:06:10] We have nine kids. [1:06:12] Couldn't have made [1:06:13] a better decision in my life. [1:06:15] Well, actually, she said yes to me, [1:06:17] so she made a great decision [1:06:18] for me in our life, [1:06:19] which I'm very grateful for. [1:06:21] But the strength of our country [1:06:23] is rooted in the strength [1:06:25] of our families. [1:06:27] And so to celebrate America 250, [1:06:29] we should celebrate [1:06:30] our American family. [1:06:33] And so just as important [1:06:34] as our families, [1:06:36] it's important to look at our faith. [1:06:39] Our country was founded [1:06:41] by men of faith. [1:06:42] Men who understood [1:06:44] there was one true God, [1:06:47] and it wasn't them. [1:06:48] They knew there was right and wrong. [1:06:51] There was good. [1:06:52] There was evil. [1:06:53] They understood that our rights, [1:06:55] like life, liberty, [1:06:56] the pursuit of happiness, [1:06:57] that didn't come from Congress, [1:07:00] from government. [1:07:01] It didn't come from a king. [1:07:03] It came from God. [1:07:05] God gave us those rights, [1:07:07] and no government [1:07:08] can take those rights away from us. [1:07:10] And as we celebrate [1:07:16] this 250th birthday, [1:07:17] what's remarkable is [1:07:18] there is a revival in America. [1:07:21] Our young people [1:07:22] have been lied to. [1:07:25] They've been told [1:07:26] that they would be fulfilled [1:07:28] with hookup culture, [1:07:30] or some get-rich-quick scheme, [1:07:33] or they could find fame [1:07:35] in social media, [1:07:36] and that would fulfill them. [1:07:37] But I would tell you, [1:07:39] they found that [1:07:40] that's a false promise. [1:07:41] That's a lie. [1:07:42] And they've sought truth. [1:07:45] And in seeking truth, [1:07:47] they have gone to church, [1:07:50] they've found the Holy Gospel, [1:07:52] they've prayed, [1:07:54] and they have found God [1:07:55] in historic numbers. [1:07:57] Maybe it's the Holy Spirit at work. [1:07:59] I don't know. [1:07:59] Probably. [1:08:00] But it's great. [1:08:00] And what's fascinating now [1:08:04] is that there was a recent poll. [1:08:07] Young men, [1:08:07] 42% of them, [1:08:09] say that religion [1:08:10] is incredibly important [1:08:12] to them in their lives. [1:08:14] That's over 20% increase [1:08:17] in just over a year. [1:08:19] The Wall Street Journal [1:08:20] had a recent headline [1:08:21] that said, [1:08:22] Young New Yorkers [1:08:22] have a new hot spot, [1:08:25] Sunday Mass. [1:08:26] They're finding love at Mass, [1:08:27] which is great. [1:08:29] So if these two values [1:08:31] of faith and family [1:08:33] that defines American greatness. [1:08:36] And so as we celebrate today [1:08:37] and we look at [1:08:38] what makes us great, [1:08:40] but we also think about [1:08:41] what is going to make [1:08:42] this country great [1:08:43] for the next 250 years, [1:08:46] that is going to be rooted [1:08:47] in the strength of our families, [1:08:50] in our hearts full of faith [1:08:51] and grateful to God [1:08:53] for what he has given us. [1:08:55] I am looking forward [1:08:56] to with my family [1:08:57] celebrating this great [1:08:59] American birthday, [1:09:00] celebrating it with all of you, [1:09:02] and I am so grateful [1:09:03] that we have a president [1:09:05] who every single, [1:09:06] I see it, [1:09:07] every single day [1:09:08] he focuses on [1:09:09] how he can make America great, [1:09:11] how he can bring jobs [1:09:12] back to the American people, [1:09:14] increase American wages, [1:09:15] and we are blessed [1:09:16] as a country [1:09:17] to have that great president [1:09:18] in the Oval Office today. [1:09:20] God bless you all. [1:09:22] Happy birthday, America. [1:09:22] Discipline and unwavering dedication [1:11:32] to our nation. [1:11:34] As a retired United States [1:11:35] Navy SEAL officer [1:11:36] and best-selling author, [1:11:38] he's inspired millions [1:11:39] to take extreme ownership [1:11:40] of their lives [1:11:41] and their freedom. [1:11:43] Please welcome [1:11:43] a true American patriot, [1:11:45] Jocko Willink. [1:11:47] Evening. [1:12:25] It is a miracle [1:12:27] that we are celebrating [1:12:29] 250 years of America, [1:12:32] and in many ways, [1:12:33] it's a miracle [1:12:34] that America even exists at all, [1:12:37] because since day one, [1:12:42] we have had the odds [1:12:43] stacked against us, [1:12:47] starting at the very beginning [1:12:49] when we declared independence [1:12:52] from Great Britain, [1:12:55] the world's most powerful empire, [1:12:58] and then we had to fight them. [1:13:03] Now, the British had more men, [1:13:06] more guns, more ships, [1:13:09] but we had something [1:13:12] the British did not have. [1:13:14] You see, the British soldiers [1:13:18] and officers, [1:13:20] they were subjects of the king, [1:13:24] but we would bow to no man. [1:13:30] Our forefathers knew [1:13:32] that there was something [1:13:34] more important than king and crown, [1:13:38] something more important [1:13:40] than safety or substance, [1:13:43] an ideal more important [1:13:45] than life itself. [1:13:48] The founders of our country, [1:13:51] for them, [1:13:53] the most important thing [1:13:54] was freedom. [1:13:56] All men created equal, [1:14:06] endowed by our creator [1:14:08] with the unalienable rights [1:14:10] of life, liberty, [1:14:12] and the pursuit of happiness. [1:14:14] And that ideal, [1:14:16] it gave us something [1:14:18] the British military leadership [1:14:19] did not take into account. [1:14:23] We had a will to win [1:14:26] unlike anything [1:14:27] they had ever seen before. [1:14:31] And because of that will, [1:14:33] we did win. [1:14:36] And that victory [1:14:40] of these free [1:14:43] and United States [1:14:44] over the British crown, [1:14:46] that victory unleashed a force [1:14:49] which to this day [1:14:51] has been completely unmatched [1:14:54] in the world. [1:14:59] That freedom [1:15:00] that we fought for, [1:15:02] the freedom to speak, [1:15:05] to protest, [1:15:06] to worship, [1:15:07] the freedom to protect ourselves, [1:15:10] our families, [1:15:10] and our property, [1:15:11] the freedom to work, [1:15:14] to risk, [1:15:15] to build, [1:15:16] the freedom to achieve. [1:15:21] And our spirit [1:15:22] turned America [1:15:23] into the most powerful nation [1:15:25] the world has ever known. [1:15:28] But that power [1:15:35] was not built by the government. [1:15:39] It was not built by the state. [1:15:43] It was not built [1:15:43] by the bureaucracy. [1:15:47] America [1:15:48] was built [1:15:49] by freedom. [1:15:53] The freedom [1:15:54] for Americans [1:15:56] from any background [1:15:57] to chase their dreams, [1:16:01] turn those dreams [1:16:02] into reality, [1:16:03] and be rewarded [1:16:04] for their effort. [1:16:10] And our work ethic, [1:16:12] our creativity, [1:16:13] our will to win, [1:16:15] and freedom itself [1:16:16] have made America's rise [1:16:19] undeniable. [1:16:28] But there is one more [1:16:29] important ingredient [1:16:30] that allowed America [1:16:32] to overcome the odds [1:16:34] and become the greatest nation [1:16:36] on earth. [1:16:37] Without this last [1:16:39] vital ingredient, [1:16:41] America would not [1:16:42] and could not exist. [1:16:46] That final ingredient [1:16:47] is blood. [1:16:52] The blood [1:16:53] of our patriotic service men [1:16:55] and women. [1:16:56] You see, [1:16:57] the men and women [1:16:58] of our military, [1:16:59] they swear an oath, [1:17:02] a commitment, [1:17:04] that if need be, [1:17:05] they will sacrifice [1:17:06] their lives, [1:17:08] sacrifice their liberty, [1:17:10] and sacrifice [1:17:11] their happiness [1:17:13] for us, [1:17:17] for our freedom. [1:17:25] And for 250 years, [1:17:28] our military [1:17:29] has held the line [1:17:31] against darkness, [1:17:34] against tyranny, [1:17:36] against evil, [1:17:38] against fanatics [1:17:39] determined to die [1:17:41] for their cause. [1:17:44] But we are determined [1:17:46] to live and fight [1:17:48] for our cause, [1:17:50] the greatest cause [1:17:51] of all, [1:17:53] freedom. [1:17:53] And that is [1:18:01] the true strength [1:18:02] of America. [1:18:05] So, [1:18:06] as we celebrate [1:18:08] 250 years [1:18:10] of freedom, [1:18:12] let us remember [1:18:13] the sacrifices [1:18:14] that have been made [1:18:16] and will be made [1:18:17] to protect it. [1:18:20] We must remember [1:18:21] those brave people [1:18:23] who were not only [1:18:26] soldiers, [1:18:27] sailors, [1:18:28] airmen, [1:18:29] and Marines, [1:18:30] but who were also [1:18:32] fathers and sons, [1:18:36] mothers and daughters, [1:18:39] brothers and sisters, [1:18:42] who had plans [1:18:43] and hopes [1:18:44] and dreams [1:18:46] and they had goals [1:18:47] and they had ambitions [1:18:48] and yet, [1:18:49] they sacrificed [1:18:50] all of that. [1:18:51] They sacrificed [1:18:52] everything [1:18:53] on some [1:18:55] wretched piece [1:18:56] of dirt [1:18:57] or in the raging, [1:18:59] merciless sea [1:19:00] or in the unforgiving [1:19:01] clouds above [1:19:03] throughout our history [1:19:04] on sea, [1:19:06] air, [1:19:07] and land. [1:19:08] American warriors [1:19:10] have given their lives [1:19:12] for our freedom [1:19:14] and for that, [1:19:25] we owe them everything. [1:19:28] And the best thing [1:19:28] we can do [1:19:29] to honor [1:19:30] their sacrifice [1:19:31] is use [1:19:34] this sacred freedom. [1:19:36] Do not squander [1:19:37] one second. [1:19:40] We must not merely [1:19:41] dream the American dream, [1:19:43] we must live it. [1:19:44] live the American dream, [1:19:53] relish our liberty [1:19:55] and our lives, [1:19:57] relentlessly pursue happiness, [1:19:59] strive and work [1:20:01] and build [1:20:02] and create [1:20:03] every day [1:20:04] for ourselves, [1:20:07] for our family, [1:20:09] for our country, [1:20:12] but most of all, [1:20:14] for them, [1:20:16] the fallen heroes, [1:20:19] those who gave us [1:20:20] this gift of freedom, [1:20:23] remember them, [1:20:24] honor them [1:20:25] by living this life, [1:20:28] this American miracle. [1:20:33] Live it [1:20:34] to the utmost, [1:20:36] to the utmost [1:20:37] for them. [1:20:47] May God bless [1:20:48] those who sacrificed [1:20:50] their lives [1:20:52] for our freedom [1:20:53] and may God bless [1:20:55] the United States [1:20:56] of America. [1:20:58] Thank you. [1:20:59] Became the summer. [1:28:01] The rumble in the sky, [1:34:45] we return to the [1:34:46] America 250 stage [1:34:48] and performing [1:34:48] Oh America [1:34:49] and Nessun Dorma, [1:34:51] accompanied by [1:34:52] the president's own [1:34:53] United States Marine Band [1:34:54] and the Joint Armed Forces Chorus. [1:34:56] Please welcome [1:34:57] America's presidential tenor, [1:35:00] Christopher Macchio. [1:35:01] Ladies and gentlemen, [1:43:12] preparing to perform [1:43:13] the greatest patriotic anthem [1:43:15] of all time, [1:43:17] God bless the USA. [1:43:19] Please welcome [1:43:20] American icon [1:43:21] and Grammy Award-winning [1:43:23] singer-songwriter, [1:43:24] Lee Greenwood. [1:43:26] Tomorrow [1:43:45] and I have to start again [1:43:53] Just my children [1:43:55] and thank my lucky storm [1:44:02] here today [1:44:03] because our flag [1:44:05] still stands for freedom [1:44:07] and they can't take [1:44:09] that away [1:44:10] and where at least [1:44:18] I know I'm free [1:44:20] and I won't forget [1:44:22] the men who died [1:44:24] who gave that right to me [1:44:26] and I gladly stand up [1:44:29] next to you [1:44:31] and defend her [1:44:32] still today [1:44:33] because there ain't no doubt [1:44:36] I love this land [1:44:38] bless the USA [1:44:42] to introduce to you [1:44:54] the 45th president [1:44:56] of the United States [1:44:57] and the 47th president [1:44:58] of the United States [1:44:59] our commander-in-chief [1:45:01] Donald J. Trump [1:45:03] of Texas [1:45:10] from sea to shining sea [1:45:13] Detroit down to Houston [1:45:16] and New York to L.A. [1:45:21] There's pride [1:45:21] in every American heart [1:45:24] and it's time [1:45:25] we stand and say [1:45:27] I'm proud to be [1:45:32] an American [1:45:33] at least I know [1:45:35] I'm free [1:45:36] and I won't forget [1:45:38] the men who died [1:45:40] that right to me [1:45:43] and I gladly stand up [1:45:45] next to you [1:45:47] and her still today [1:45:49] because there ain't no doubt [1:45:52] I love this land [1:45:54] God bless the president [1:46:44] well thank you Lee [1:47:03] and hello Washington [1:47:04] and a very big hello [1:47:06] to America [1:47:07] thank you [1:47:08] and 10 days from now [1:47:12] our country will celebrate [1:47:14] one of the most [1:47:15] monumental milestones [1:47:16] in human history [1:47:18] we will mark 250 years [1:47:21] of glorious American freedom [1:47:23] in 1776 [1:47:25] our founding fathers [1:47:27] met in Philadelphia [1:47:28] and changed the world [1:47:30] forever and ever [1:47:31] with a thing called [1:47:33] the declaration [1:47:34] of independence [1:47:36] they proclaim [1:47:40] the eternal truth [1:47:41] that we are endowed [1:47:43] by our creator [1:47:44] with the rights [1:47:45] to life [1:47:46] liberty [1:47:47] and the pursuit [1:47:47] of happiness [1:47:48] we all made [1:47:50] and you know that [1:47:51] free and equal [1:47:53] by the hand [1:47:54] of almighty God [1:47:56] those timeless [1:48:00] American principles [1:48:02] did not just win [1:48:03] a revolution [1:48:04] but they built us [1:48:06] to the greatest strongest [1:48:07] and most exceptional nation [1:48:09] the world has ever known [1:48:11] there has never been anything [1:48:14] like the United States [1:48:16] of America [1:48:17] and together [1:48:17] we are making it [1:48:19] bigger and better [1:48:21] and stronger [1:48:21] and far more exceptional [1:48:23] than ever before [1:48:26] today we have [1:48:33] the largest economy [1:48:34] on earth [1:48:34] we have the strongest [1:48:37] military on earth [1:48:38] we have the most powerful [1:48:40] technology on earth [1:48:42] we have the greatest [1:48:44] culture on earth [1:48:45] and above all [1:48:46] we have the greatest [1:48:47] people on earth [1:48:49] greatest [1:48:51] tonight as we stand [1:48:54] on the edge [1:48:54] of our 250th year [1:48:56] of independence [1:48:57] I am thrilled [1:48:59] to declare that [1:49:00] America is back [1:49:03] as you know [1:49:10] very well [1:49:10] a short time ago [1:49:11] we were a dead country [1:49:13] we were dead [1:49:14] now we're the hottest [1:49:15] country anywhere [1:49:17] in the world [1:49:18] we're respected [1:49:19] by everybody [1:49:20] nobody's laughing [1:49:21] at us anymore [1:49:23] two years ago [1:49:25] they were laughing [1:49:26] now [1:49:26] we're the most respected [1:49:28] anywhere [1:49:29] think of it [1:49:29] anywhere in the world [1:49:31] where were we two years ago [1:49:32] we weren't respected [1:49:33] we were a joke [1:49:35] we're not a joke anymore [1:49:36] most powerful country [1:49:38] in the world [1:49:38] but just like those [1:49:40] patriots of 1776 [1:49:42] over the past 17 months [1:49:44] we have taken power back [1:49:46] from the far off [1:49:48] political class [1:49:49] they're trying to gain it back [1:49:50] but it's not going to happen [1:49:51] we have reclaimed [1:49:54] our sovereignty [1:49:54] regained our liberty [1:49:56] restored our prosperity [1:49:57] and we have [1:49:59] saved our country [1:50:00] in all things [1:50:02] we're once again [1:50:04] putting [1:50:04] a thing called [1:50:06] America [1:50:07] first [1:50:08] and last week [1:50:12] we signed [1:50:13] a historic agreement [1:50:14] to end [1:50:15] the conflict [1:50:16] with Iran [1:50:17] fully open [1:50:18] the Strait of Hormuz [1:50:20] and accomplish [1:50:20] what no president [1:50:22] has ever been able [1:50:23] to accomplish before [1:50:24] Iran will never have [1:50:26] a nuclear weapon [1:50:27] that's done [1:50:28] and thanks to the power [1:50:32] and skill [1:50:32] of the United States [1:50:33] Armed Forces [1:50:34] today Iran has [1:50:36] no navy [1:50:37] no air force [1:50:39] no anti-aircraft [1:50:41] capacity [1:50:41] no missile launches [1:50:43] no manufacturing [1:50:45] and their leadership [1:50:47] has been obliterated [1:50:48] and for the first time [1:50:50] in 3,000 years [1:50:52] we are finally [1:50:53] going to have peace [1:50:55] in the Middle East [1:50:56] we're going to have peace [1:50:57] in the Middle East [1:50:58] since the agreement [1:51:01] the stock market [1:51:02] and your 401ks [1:51:04] are skyrocketing upward [1:51:06] and oil prices [1:51:07] are plummeting downward [1:51:08] today [1:51:09] it hit a new low [1:51:10] and the world [1:51:11] is a much safer place [1:51:13] we had to make [1:51:14] that little journey [1:51:15] to Iran [1:51:16] to do what we did [1:51:17] very soon [1:51:18] you'll be at [1:51:19] $2.50 a gallon [1:51:22] for gasoline [1:51:22] and even lower than that [1:51:27] just like it was [1:51:28] before we took [1:51:29] the nuclear weapon [1:51:31] away from Iran [1:51:32] and it will be [1:51:33] away from Iran [1:51:34] for a very long time [1:51:36] forever [1:51:38] really [1:51:39] in my first term [1:51:41] I rebuilt our military [1:51:42] and created [1:51:43] the greatest economy [1:51:44] in the history of the world [1:51:45] we had the greatest [1:51:46] economy in history [1:51:47] and now we are going [1:51:49] to blow that away [1:51:50] we're doing better [1:51:51] much better [1:51:51] than even the first term [1:51:52] America's 250th year [1:51:55] is set for an economic boom [1:51:57] the lights of which [1:51:58] no nation has ever seen before [1:52:01] no nation has ever been [1:52:03] in the place [1:52:04] that we are right now [1:52:06] in four long years [1:52:09] of the last administration [1:52:10] which was a total disaster [1:52:13] they got less than [1:52:14] $1 trillion of new investment [1:52:17] in our country [1:52:18] that's less than [1:52:19] $1 trillion in four years [1:52:21] in my first 11 months [1:52:23] we secured commitments [1:52:25] for $19.1 trillion [1:52:27] of new investment [1:52:29] from all over the globe [1:52:31] and they're building [1:52:33] factories and plants [1:52:34] and they're building [1:52:35] everything [1:52:36] all over our country [1:52:37] the stock market [1:52:39] has set [1:52:39] 73 [1:52:40] all-time record highs [1:52:42] since the election [1:52:43] and more Americans [1:52:44] are working today [1:52:46] than at any time [1:52:47] in the history [1:52:48] of our country [1:52:50] thank you [1:52:50] on the 4th of July [1:52:55] one year ago [1:52:56] I signed the largest [1:52:57] tax cuts [1:52:58] in American history [1:53:00] the largest spending cuts [1:53:02] in American history [1:53:03] and the largest regulation cuts [1:53:06] in American history [1:53:07] by far [1:53:08] in the American revolution [1:53:10] they had a saying [1:53:11] no tax on tea [1:53:14] but with the great big beautiful bill [1:53:17] we did even better [1:53:18] we gave you [1:53:19] no tax on tips [1:53:20] no tax on overtime [1:53:22] and no tax on social security [1:53:25] for our great seniors [1:53:26] and we also made interest [1:53:31] on auto loans [1:53:33] you go out and buy an automobile [1:53:34] the interest on the loan [1:53:37] is fully tax deductible [1:53:38] never happened before [1:53:39] but only if the car [1:53:41] happens to be made in America [1:53:42] and we're setting records [1:53:43] in automobile construction [1:53:47] our country is strong again [1:53:49] our country is wealthy again [1:53:50] and our country is safe again [1:53:52] in January 2025 [1:53:54] we inherited the worst [1:53:57] most dangerous [1:53:58] most wide open [1:53:59] and insecure border [1:54:01] in history [1:54:02] and we have quickly turned it [1:54:04] into the strongest [1:54:05] most secure border [1:54:06] in the history of our country [1:54:08] for the past 13 months [1:54:14] zero illegal aliens [1:54:16] have been admitted [1:54:17] into the United States [1:54:19] zero [1:54:20] we are removing murderers [1:54:28] gang members [1:54:30] drug dealers [1:54:31] and dangerous criminals [1:54:32] by the thousands [1:54:33] they came in [1:54:34] through a ridiculous [1:54:35] open border [1:54:36] I want to say [1:54:38] a very special thanks [1:54:39] to all of the men [1:54:40] and women [1:54:40] who have helped [1:54:41] liberate America [1:54:42] from this gorge [1:54:43] the heroes of ice [1:54:45] and border patrol [1:54:46] you are heroes [1:54:47] you are heroes [1:54:48] with the help of [1:54:51] our law enforcement heroes [1:54:52] in 2025 [1:54:53] we achieved the largest drop [1:54:56] in the murder rate [1:54:57] ever recorded [1:54:58] to the lowest level [1:55:00] in 125 years [1:55:02] that's the year 1900 [1:55:04] we cut the flow [1:55:06] of fentanyl [1:55:06] across our border [1:55:07] by 66 percent [1:55:10] drugs coming in [1:55:12] by ocean [1:55:13] or by sea [1:55:14] are down [1:55:14] 97 percent [1:55:17] and Washington DC [1:55:21] is now one of the safest [1:55:23] most beautiful cities [1:55:25] anywhere [1:55:26] in the United States [1:55:28] of America [1:55:29] for many years [1:55:34] our country [1:55:35] was ruled [1:55:36] by politicians [1:55:37] who let America [1:55:38] and its capital [1:55:39] fall into decline [1:55:40] and total disrepair [1:55:41] the city named [1:55:43] in honor of [1:55:44] General George Washington [1:55:46] was turned into [1:55:47] a national disgrace [1:55:48] but not anymore [1:55:49] today [1:55:51] the homeless [1:55:52] encampments [1:55:53] are gone [1:55:53] the graffiti [1:55:54] is gone [1:55:55] since I took office [1:55:57] more than 50 monuments [1:55:59] and memorials [1:56:00] have been repaired [1:56:01] and beautified [1:56:02] dozens of statues [1:56:04] have been cleaned [1:56:05] and they look so nice [1:56:06] 22 fountains [1:56:08] have been fixed [1:56:09] at Union Station [1:56:10] the statue of Christopher [1:56:12] Columbus [1:56:13] is clean [1:56:14] and fountain [1:56:14] that fountain [1:56:15] is flowing [1:56:16] and it looks so beautiful [1:56:17] I just looked at it [1:56:19] coming over [1:56:20] it is so beautiful [1:56:21] that white marble [1:56:23] is nice and clean [1:56:24] there's no more [1:56:25] graffiti stains [1:56:26] all over it [1:56:27] the water is [1:56:28] cascading [1:56:29] at Meridian Hill Park [1:56:32] and I am personally [1:56:36] along with Doug [1:56:37] and some of my friends [1:56:38] renovating Lafayette Square [1:56:41] at the front door [1:56:42] of the White House [1:56:43] and it's going to be [1:56:44] beautiful [1:56:44] and opens [1:56:45] in a short period of time [1:56:47] and the reflecting pool [1:56:50] that you've heard [1:56:50] so much about [1:56:51] which is so incredible [1:56:52] it's been gruesomely [1:56:55] vandalized [1:56:56] by thugs [1:56:57] bad people [1:56:58] but soon [1:57:00] we'll be looking [1:57:01] as beautiful [1:57:01] as it looked [1:57:02] just two weeks ago [1:57:03] in fact [1:57:04] I looked at it [1:57:04] just a little while ago [1:57:05] it looks perfect already [1:57:06] but we're fixing it [1:57:08] the vandals got to it [1:57:10] they've largely [1:57:11] been caught [1:57:12] and are being prosecuted [1:57:14] we can't let that happen [1:57:15] to our country [1:57:16] can't let that happen [1:57:18] but it looks beautiful [1:57:19] under the Trump administration [1:57:22] America is once again [1:57:24] a nation of self-respect [1:57:26] dignity [1:57:26] and pride [1:57:27] under our leadership [1:57:29] America will also be a nation [1:57:30] that dares to dream [1:57:32] and to build again [1:57:33] we want to build again [1:57:35] and dream again [1:57:35] the American dream [1:57:37] is alive again [1:57:39] that's something [1:57:39] that nobody thought [1:57:41] they'd be saying [1:57:41] when you went through [1:57:42] that last four years [1:57:43] of incompetence [1:57:44] for the 100th anniversary [1:57:47] of our founding [1:57:48] in 1876 [1:57:50] America completed [1:57:53] the Washington Monument [1:57:55] and the work began [1:57:56] on the Statue of Liberty [1:57:58] for our 150th year [1:58:01] we built [1:58:02] Colonial Williamsburg [1:58:04] remember that [1:58:06] Colonial Williamsburg [1:58:07] how beautiful it was [1:58:08] for the 200th year [1:58:09] we built the [1:58:10] National Air and Space Museum [1:58:12] and renovated [1:58:14] the United States Capitol [1:58:15] for our 250th anniversary [1:58:17] we are likewise [1:58:19] building new monuments [1:58:20] to American greatness [1:58:22] to serve every future president [1:58:24] and first lady [1:58:26] we're building [1:58:26] the most beautiful ballroom [1:58:28] anywhere in the world [1:58:29] right at the White House [1:58:30] right at the White House [1:58:32] it's going to be completed [1:58:33] very soon [1:58:34] and just across the bridge [1:58:37] in front of Arlington Cemetery [1:58:38] we're building [1:58:39] a magnificent [1:58:40] really beautiful [1:58:41] this is going to be something [1:58:42] you're going to like [1:58:43] a totally magnificent [1:58:45] triumphal arc [1:58:47] to honor the [1:58:48] 250 year triumph [1:58:50] of the American spirit [1:58:52] American military [1:58:53] and frankly [1:58:55] American competence [1:58:57] in West Potomac Park [1:58:59] we are creating [1:59:00] the National Garden [1:59:01] of American Heroes [1:59:02] featuring 250 [1:59:03] or more statues [1:59:06] of the greatest Americans [1:59:07] who have ever lived [1:59:08] it's going to be beautiful [1:59:09] and next week [1:59:11] at Freedom Plaza [1:59:12] we will unveil [1:59:13] the Spirit of 76 [1:59:15] exhibition [1:59:16] honoring the [1:59:16] heroes and martyrs [1:59:18] of the American [1:59:19] Revolution [1:59:21] and remember [1:59:22] 1776 [1:59:25] what a time [1:59:26] that was [1:59:26] where we've come [1:59:27] from there [1:59:28] what a date [1:59:29] it is [1:59:30] it's a date [1:59:31] like no other date [1:59:33] from Athens to Rome [1:59:34] from London to Paris [1:59:36] from New York [1:59:37] to LA [1:59:37] and from all of the other parts [1:59:39] of the world [1:59:40] the great civilizations [1:59:41] of history [1:59:42] did not wallow [1:59:43] in aging ruins [1:59:45] of the past [1:59:46] they built new cities [1:59:47] they created new monuments [1:59:49] and they forged [1:59:50] towering legacies [1:59:51] that still inspire the world [1:59:53] after hundreds [1:59:54] and even thousands [1:59:55] of years [1:59:55] as America turns [1:59:57] 250 years [1:59:59] 250 years old [2:00:01] young by comparison [2:00:02] to some [2:00:03] but superior [2:00:04] to any nation [2:00:05] that's ever been built [2:00:06] no matter how many years [2:00:08] it took [2:00:08] we are the inheritors [2:00:10] of these incredible traditions [2:00:12] we are the ones [2:00:13] who are carrying forward [2:00:14] the light of [2:00:15] western civilization [2:00:17] because this is [2:00:18] the very beginning [2:00:19] of the golden age [2:00:21] of America [2:00:22] we're in the golden age [2:00:23] there's never been [2:00:23] an age like this [2:00:24] there's never been [2:00:26] an age like this [2:00:28] this anniversary [2:00:29] is a time [2:00:30] to be proud [2:00:31] of our past [2:00:31] but it is also [2:00:33] a time [2:00:33] to lift our sights [2:00:34] expand our ambitions [2:00:36] and raise our expectations [2:00:38] of what America can be [2:00:39] we will leave our children [2:00:41] nothing less [2:00:42] than the richest [2:00:43] inheritance [2:00:43] most advanced [2:00:44] civilization [2:00:46] and highest standard [2:00:47] of living [2:00:48] in human history [2:00:48] there's never been [2:00:49] anything like it [2:00:50] but with all of that [2:00:52] being said [2:00:53] the best [2:00:54] is yet to come [2:00:56] best is yet to come [2:00:57] I'm very pleased [2:01:02] to be joined tonight [2:01:03] by our great [2:01:05] speaker of the house [2:01:06] Mike Johnson [2:01:08] Mike [2:01:08] thank you [2:01:10] stand up [2:01:10] he's been great [2:01:13] Attorney General [2:01:14] Todd Blanche [2:01:16] Todd thank you [2:01:17] Secretary of the Interior [2:01:20] who works with me [2:01:21] so hard [2:01:22] on the monuments [2:01:23] and the fountains [2:01:24] he loves it [2:01:24] like I do [2:01:25] Doug Burgum [2:01:27] Doug thank you very much [2:01:28] Secretary of Agriculture [2:01:32] and those prices [2:01:33] are tumbling down [2:01:34] they're tumbling down [2:01:35] we inherited a mess [2:01:36] Brooke Rollins [2:01:38] thank you Brooke [2:01:39] Secretary of Labor [2:01:43] Keith Sonderling [2:01:44] Secretary of Transportation [2:01:48] you heard him [2:01:49] and he's great [2:01:50] Sean Duffy [2:01:51] Sean thank you [2:01:52] our wonderful [2:01:56] Secretary of Education [2:01:57] Linda McMahon [2:01:59] Secretary of Homeland Security [2:02:04] Mark Wayne [2:02:05] from Oklahoma [2:02:07] acting director [2:02:11] of National Intelligence [2:02:13] Bill Pulte [2:02:14] thank you Bill [2:02:16] FBI Director [2:02:18] Cash Patel [2:02:19] CMS Administrator [2:02:25] and he's doing a fantastic job [2:02:27] Dr. Mehmet Oz [2:02:29] Ambassador [2:02:32] Ambassador [2:02:32] Monica Crowley [2:02:33] thank you [2:02:34] Monica [2:02:34] and countless members [2:02:37] so many members of Congress [2:02:38] I will not go over the names [2:02:40] and senators [2:02:41] we appreciate that you're here [2:02:43] this is a very special night [2:02:44] thank you all very much [2:02:45] the Senate [2:02:46] and the House [2:02:47] as you know [2:02:48] over the past few weeks [2:02:49] America has been proudly hosting [2:02:51] the [2:02:51] 2026 FIFA World Cup [2:02:54] and it's setting [2:02:55] attendance records [2:02:56] and television rating records [2:02:58] like never before [2:02:59] who would have thought [2:02:59] this was going to happen [2:03:01] they would say [2:03:02] it's not our primary sport [2:03:03] but it's happening [2:03:04] and I want to just congratulate [2:03:06] my friend [2:03:06] FIFA President [2:03:07] Johnny Infantino [2:03:10] he's been fantastic [2:03:11] to deal with [2:03:12] and he's very happy [2:03:13] everything is a record [2:03:16] it's like having a Super Bowl [2:03:17] every day [2:03:18] and I know everyone joins me [2:03:20] in wishing Team USA [2:03:22] good luck in their match tomorrow [2:03:24] against Turkey [2:03:24] and Los Angeles [2:03:25] they're doing great [2:03:30] every day of my administration [2:03:32] we're delivering one historic victory [2:03:35] after the next [2:03:36] for the American people [2:03:37] we're unleashing [2:03:38] American energy dominance [2:03:41] and drill baby drill [2:03:42] you remember during the campaign [2:03:44] drill baby drill [2:03:45] and America is now [2:03:48] the largest producer [2:03:49] of oil and gas on earth [2:03:50] larger than Russia [2:03:52] and Saudi Arabia [2:03:53] by far combined [2:03:55] and under my most favorite [2:04:00] nation agreement [2:04:01] on drug prices [2:04:01] we are delivering [2:04:03] the largest reduction [2:04:04] in drug price history [2:04:05] with price differences [2:04:07] of 400 [2:04:08] 500 [2:04:09] and even [2:04:10] 600 percent [2:04:12] who would think [2:04:14] that [2:04:14] if you took down [2:04:16] a half a percent [2:04:17] somebody said [2:04:18] you were a genius [2:04:18] 400 [2:04:19] 500 [2:04:19] 600 [2:04:20] 700 [2:04:21] 800 [2:04:21] percent [2:04:22] nobody's seen anything [2:04:23] like it [2:04:24] we had the highest [2:04:25] drug prices in the world [2:04:27] and now we're going to be [2:04:29] having the lowest [2:04:30] drug prices [2:04:31] in the world [2:04:32] and you think that was easy [2:04:34] for decades Americans [2:04:36] paid the highest prices [2:04:38] think of that [2:04:38] there's never been [2:04:40] a time [2:04:41] where we [2:04:41] when I took this over [2:04:43] the highest prices [2:04:44] and now [2:04:44] just remember [2:04:46] you go to [2:04:47] trumprx.gov [2:04:48] and you get [2:04:49] what you're looking for [2:04:51] at prices [2:04:51] so much lower [2:04:53] that a lot of people [2:04:54] don't even believe [2:04:55] it's happening [2:04:55] we passed [2:04:56] the largest ever investment [2:04:58] in the United States [2:04:59] military [2:05:00] more than [2:05:01] one trillion dollars [2:05:02] and this year [2:05:04] all made in the USA [2:05:05] we're going to be asking [2:05:07] Pete Hegseth [2:05:08] and General Raisin Kane [2:05:10] and all of us [2:05:11] we're going to [2:05:12] and by the way [2:05:12] how good is our military [2:05:13] how good is our military [2:05:15] one week [2:05:21] Iran was essentially finished [2:05:24] in one hour [2:05:25] Venezuela was finished [2:05:27] and [2:05:28] I guess we have other things [2:05:30] in store [2:05:30] but [2:05:30] we don't want to get carried away [2:05:32] recruitment for every branch [2:05:35] of our armed forces [2:05:36] so importantly [2:05:37] is setting records [2:05:38] 18 months ago [2:05:39] we had shortages [2:05:40] and now we have waiting lists [2:05:42] we couldn't get people [2:05:43] to join the military [2:05:44] none of them [2:05:44] none of the branches [2:05:45] they were all dying [2:05:47] to get people [2:05:48] they couldn't [2:05:48] then the thing happened [2:05:49] on November 5th [2:05:51] it's called [2:05:51] a great election victory [2:05:53] and from that moment on [2:05:55] now you can't even [2:05:56] get into the military [2:05:57] we have waiting lists [2:05:58] to get into the military [2:05:59] and to become policemen [2:06:01] and to become firemen [2:06:03] it's really fantastic [2:06:05] what's happened [2:06:05] the spirit in this country [2:06:07] is like from a different planet [2:06:08] from what it was [2:06:09] a year and a half ago [2:06:11] in a flawless [2:06:12] and breathtaking operation [2:06:14] earlier this year [2:06:15] America's armed forces [2:06:16] captured the outlaw dictator [2:06:18] of Venezuela [2:06:19] Nicolas Maduro [2:06:21] and brought him back [2:06:22] to face American justice [2:06:24] one of the great [2:06:28] military raids in history [2:06:31] if you remember [2:06:31] and here at home [2:06:33] we abolished DEI [2:06:34] across the entire federal government [2:06:36] we don't want DEI [2:06:38] and we got critical race theory [2:06:42] out of our schools [2:06:44] and I signed the largest expansion [2:06:47] of school choice in history [2:06:49] and we have begun the process [2:06:51] of abolishing the federal [2:06:54] department of education [2:06:56] thank you Linda [2:06:57] because we're sending education [2:07:01] back to the states [2:07:02] where it belongs [2:07:03] we banned the transgender [2:07:07] mutilization of children [2:07:09] and we made it the official policy [2:07:14] of the United States government [2:07:15] that there are only two genders [2:07:18] male and female [2:07:20] we got men [2:07:25] out of women's sports [2:07:27] we renamed [2:07:31] the Gulf of Mexico [2:07:33] after 350 years [2:07:35] they are a hundred years older [2:07:37] than we are [2:07:38] we named the Gulf of Mexico [2:07:40] the Gulf of America [2:07:43] and restored the name [2:07:48] of a great president [2:07:49] William McKinley [2:07:50] to Mount McKinley [2:07:52] where it belonged [2:07:53] and tonight right here [2:07:55] on the national mall [2:07:56] we are beginning [2:07:57] the most unforgettable [2:07:58] birthday party [2:07:59] any country has ever seen [2:08:01] oh you're going to have [2:08:01] a good time [2:08:02] you're going to have [2:08:04] a good time [2:08:04] this evening [2:08:06] it's my honor [2:08:07] to officially kick off [2:08:08] the celebration [2:08:09] with the great [2:08:11] American state fair [2:08:14] it's going to be great [2:08:15] it's going to be unbelievable [2:08:16] so from today [2:08:18] through July 10th [2:08:20] this event will showcase [2:08:21] all 56 states [2:08:23] and territories [2:08:23] there will be no military flyovers [2:08:27] and I want to tell you something [2:08:29] because they're going to be [2:08:30] beyond flyovers [2:08:32] there'll be something [2:08:33] like you've never seen [2:08:34] you get just a little [2:08:34] little tiny glimpse [2:08:36] of it tonight [2:08:36] by the way [2:08:37] how good is our air force [2:08:39] how good is our [2:08:40] nobody's ever seen [2:08:41] those planes [2:08:42] they are serious planes [2:08:44] when the bad guys [2:08:46] see those planes come [2:08:47] and they say [2:08:48] we give up [2:08:49] but we're going to have [2:08:51] special performances [2:08:52] patriotic music [2:08:54] high tech demonstrations [2:08:55] unique exhibitions [2:08:57] a FIFA fan zone [2:08:59] which is great [2:09:00] and it really has [2:09:01] been big stuff [2:09:02] and even an [2:09:03] old-fashioned rodeo [2:09:05] I love rodeo [2:09:06] I don't know how they do it [2:09:07] I don't know how they do it [2:09:09] then on July 4th [2:09:11] we will have the greatest show [2:09:13] of all [2:09:13] on the National Mall [2:09:14] your favorite president [2:09:16] will be speaking [2:09:17] so please show up [2:09:19] because if we have [2:09:22] two empty seats [2:09:23] you know what's going to happen [2:09:24] the fake news is going to say [2:09:25] he didn't fill out the arena [2:09:27] now I'll be speaking [2:09:30] I'll be very proudly speaking [2:09:31] as we ring in our 250th year [2:09:34] with the largest fireworks display [2:09:37] in world history [2:09:38] 10 times larger [2:09:40] than any that we've ever done [2:09:42] in Washington [2:09:43] or in the United States [2:09:44] so if you like fireworks [2:09:46] then in August [2:09:50] we're going to have [2:09:51] what's called [2:09:52] the Patriot Games [2:09:53] a first-of-its-kind competition [2:09:55] featuring the greatest [2:09:56] high school athletes [2:09:57] from all across [2:09:58] the United States [2:09:59] and applications [2:10:01] are open through July 10th [2:10:02] these are the best athletes [2:10:03] in the country [2:10:04] young athletes [2:10:05] and soon thereafter [2:10:06] we'll have a [2:10:07] Freedom 250 Grand Prix [2:10:10] right here in Washington [2:10:11] around the Capitol [2:10:12] that's the great [2:10:14] Roger Penske [2:10:15] Roger Penske [2:10:16] it's going to be [2:10:17] an Indy race [2:10:19] that they've been trying to get [2:10:21] he said we've been trying to get it [2:10:22] for 29 years [2:10:23] we came to Washington [2:10:25] over 200 times [2:10:26] and with you as president [2:10:28] we came here a half an hour [2:10:30] and it was done [2:10:30] so we're going to have Indy [2:10:32] wrapping around the Capitol [2:10:34] down Pennsylvania Avenue [2:10:36] it's going to be amazing [2:10:37] it's in August [2:10:38] in conclusion [2:10:39] 250 years ago [2:10:41] a new nation was founded [2:10:42] by farmers and soldiers [2:10:44] shopkeepers [2:10:45] and tradesmen [2:10:46] who stood strong [2:10:48] to defend their rights [2:10:49] their families [2:10:50] and their freedom [2:10:50] from tyranny [2:10:52] across the sea [2:10:54] from every city in town [2:10:55] from the mountains [2:10:56] and valleys [2:10:57] from the backwoods [2:10:58] and rocky shores [2:10:59] they came by the thousands [2:11:01] to fill the ranks [2:11:02] of American patriots [2:11:04] and enlist their lives [2:11:05] in the righteous cause [2:11:06] of independence [2:11:07] that's what they did [2:11:08] this exceptional nation [2:11:11] was forged and won [2:11:12] by some of the bravest [2:11:13] toughest strongest [2:11:14] most extraordinary people [2:11:16] ever to stride the earth [2:11:17] together we stand [2:11:19] on the shoulders [2:11:20] of incomparable heroes [2:11:22] such as George Washington [2:11:24] Thomas Jefferson [2:11:26] John Adams [2:11:28] Abraham Lincoln [2:11:30] Benjamin Franklin [2:11:31] Alexander Hamilton [2:11:33] John Paul Jones [2:11:35] John Hancock [2:11:36] at Lexington and Concord [2:11:38] Brooklyn and Saratoga [2:11:40] Trenton and Yorktown [2:11:41] and at Independence Hall [2:11:43] in Philadelphia [2:11:44] these real life legends [2:11:46] and American icons [2:11:47] poured out their blood [2:11:48] sweat and tears [2:11:49] and risked everything [2:11:50] they had [2:11:51] to purchase [2:11:52] and to live [2:11:55] the most priceless [2:11:56] and glorious inheritance
