Trump rallies GOP support in Iowa ahead of pivotal midterms

[0:01] well hello everybody hello everybody hello thank you what a crowd [0:24] hello iowa i love iowa and i'm thrilled to be back in this beautiful state which i won all [0:32] three times with more votes than any candidate by far in iowa history that's good and i watched [0:44] football very closely one game for about two minutes i watched it because i didn't have a lot [0:48] of time i'm doing these damn rallies all over the place you don't have a lot of time but i watched [0:55] the iowa hawkeyes win their football game yesterday in a very big manner to put it mildly congratulations [1:02] to that great team and the coach and uh i said boy that's good because they're going to be in a great [1:08] mood when i show up tomorrow so uh congratulations that's a uh really great tribute but we're going [1:15] to have a much bigger win on tuesday okay and just two days from now the people of iowa are going to [1:26] elect ashley hinson she's phenomenal by the way to the united states center and we're going to elect [1:34] a great he's going to be our great governor zach lane i know him well he's been with us all the way [1:44] and we're going to elect america first republicans up and down the line all the way up and down we're [1:49] going to keep we're going to keep our nation strong we're not going to let the jihadists the [1:54] communists whoever the hell we got more more i shouldn't use the word should i use it or not [2:00] we got more crap running for office we're not gonna we're not gonna stand for it we're gonna keep [2:09] our nation strong we've never been stronger we're the most respected nation anywhere in the world [2:16] i'm also very proud that iowa i was proud i did this for you i did this for you first in the nation [2:23] you kept first in the nation and we will keep you as a big deal i think to me it's a very important [2:30] you could call it a tradition gone on for decades and decades they wanted to move you to the back [2:34] of the pack i said we're not moving iowa anywhere so you're always going to be first in the nation [2:46] unless we lose in which case i won't have any control over it you'll go so remember bye you know [2:52] i don't want to use this in any way that's inappropriate but frankly if we don't win you're [2:59] going to the back of the pack if we do when you're staying first in the nation now that sounds like a [3:04] little tricky wording it's not tricky at all you're going to be first in the nation because we're going [3:08] to win we're going to win and for the past 32 days i've traveled all across the country spoken at [3:22] 29 rallies you think that's easy and i've done it all for one very simple reason to stop america [3:34] hating communists and jihadists from taking over the united states of america by taking over the united [3:42] states congress we're not going to let it happen you know people would say oh it's only a couple of [3:47] votes those couple of votes because of the power that they have in terms of the majority those couple of [3:54] votes will dominate politics they'll dominate everybody will have to go their way otherwise [4:00] bad things will happen so those couple of votes are very important and i want to tell you [4:05] uh i've known ashley for a long time you have she's going to be outstanding outstanding in washington [4:13] you know what i respect about i shouldn't say this it's inappropriate now ashley said please don't do [4:30] this no it's true i knew ashley for a long time and she was a little bit heavier okay she was and she [4:39] put herself she knew what she was doing she knew the weight that was on her really literally the weight [4:45] and she knew the importance of what she was doing and she went out the old-fashioned way too not with you [4:52] know give me a shot the old-fashioned way and she put herself into great she put her don't don't bother [4:59] they're paid protesters don't worry they go away quickly they're like a gnat they're like a little [5:05] fly there's usually two or three of them per rally they get paid 250 dollars they paid by soros [5:28] and they're losers but they always do it right in the middle of my punchline [5:36] because i was about to say that ashley knew the importance of what this was and how important it [5:44] was and boy she put herself she went on a regimen she put herself in shape people especially your congress people that helped us [6:25] the largest steel mill in all of the united states going to be built in iowa when does that happen [6:37] and you know the people are immensely wealthy they're going to do the best job it'll be incredible and [6:43] they were looking for a site i said what about this sounds strange and you think of corn and crop [6:50] farmers i said what about iowa the people are incredible and they said we like that don't [6:56] worry about them don't worry about them they're losers there'll be three or four of them they put [7:05] about three or four of them in and your your law enforcement does such a good job crazy every rally [7:34] somebody stands up and they say some super thing they don't even know what no they're paid they get [7:39] 250 then they get booked in a precinct they have it on the record for the rest of their lives [7:45] and i think probably with most of them will probably ask the various law and for i shouldn't [7:51] say this because we still have another rally we're going right right after this we're going to kansas [7:56] we want to get a very good man working with ashley very good man very good senator from mexico from germany from japan from south korea think of it 49 years we didn't build [55:46] one we lost many of them we lost 57 of our auto plants due to stupidity if we would have charged they don't get assessed and they don't have to go out and borrow [1:23:26] money from your friendly bank who turns out to be not so friendly when they don't pay interest [1:23:31] and your children end up going and losing the farm and oftentimes oftentimes committing suicide you know [1:23:39] that you have no more estate tax to pay when you leave your children your family farm or small business [1:23:46] so your children are gonna say thank you very much and i also just gave you 12 billion dollars 12 [1:23:57] billion dollars of i don't call it subsidy because farmers don't like that you know i had farmers at [1:24:02] the white house sort of recently and uh they came in and great but i said look i'm going to provide you [1:24:09] subsidy they said this is the only good everybody wants up they all want money everybody comes in i had 30 [1:24:15] farmers some from here from nebraska from different places i said look i'm going to take care of you [1:24:22] guys i'm going to give you a subsidy of 12 billion dollars like he said sir we don't want subsidy we [1:24:29] don't want it we just want a level playing field so we don't get screwed by every country in the world [1:24:38] it was a beautiful thing i also let iowa sell e15 all year round with ashley in the senate we will make [1:24:49] year-round e15 permanent and we have a great man i noticed in the office we have a man lot we made the largest ever investment [1:26:38] in the u.s armed forces over one trillion dollars we captured and brought to justice the outlaw dictator [1:26:45] of venezuela nicholas maduro who is now awaiting trial and we won the war in venezuela in one day and [1:26:54] we're now working with them to produce millions and millions of barrels of oil which is flowing [1:27:00] into our country you know i watched this total loser he's a congressman named ro connor [1:27:06] he's on fox all the time what's that all about what the hell is that and he said donald trump has spent [1:27:13] 25 billion dollars on his war with iran and nobody says anything and he just keeps going on nobody told [1:27:24] him that we've made 10 times that amount with our war on venezuela with our acquisition for zero dollars of [1:27:34] greenland you know we got greenland depressed as a we got number we have billions and billions and [1:27:47] billions of dollars of oil flowing in from venezuela to raise the price of [1:31:56] your drugs because you're getting a bargain for instance a pill that costs ten dollars in france [1:32:03] would cost 130 dollars in new york in washington los angeles in iowa cost 130 it would cost 13 times [1:32:15] more it's not fair they said well research and development all sorts of reasons ridiculous no [1:32:21] other president ever tried it i got it reduced by 300 400 500 600 even 700 percent nobody's ever in 31 [1:32:33] years it's never gone down and i said to macron and the others i said you're gonna have to raise the [1:32:42] price of your drugs they said of course they said this no way we're not going to do that yes you're going [1:32:49] to do it emmanuel if you don't do it i'm going to put a massive tariff on everything coming in from promise to you if republicans win the house of [1:34:22] representatives and the senate i am going to give all adult citizens in the united states of america [1:34:29] five thousand dollars and that means man and wife man and wife five thousand each ten thousand dollars [1:34:43] and only republicans can do it because we're taking in massive amounts as you see of money through [1:34:49] tariffs and record-setting economic success but democrat policies won't allow this to happen because [1:34:56] they're expected to lose a tremendous amount of money and in my opinion if they win we will go into a [1:35:02] 1929 style economic depressions and your 40 your 401ks are going to be worthless okay i think you're going [1:35:11] to be worthless if the republicans win you'll each have five thousand dollars in your pocket and economic [1:35:18] success for our country like we have never ever seen before and remember and remember because [1:35:30] the democrats like to say well he'll never pull that off well they always say that about me and then [1:35:34] i pull everything off but remember just recently i gave all members of our military one thousand [1:35:40] seven hundred and seventy six dollars as a bonus and the democrats said it'll never be done and i told [1:35:49] you the story was 1775 general uh what could we do they came back the following day these guys central [1:35:57] casting i could make movie stars of three of them sure we could do one thousand seven hundred seventy [1:36:05] five dollars i said general do you know what you just said no sir i said one lunatic uh during the little baseball field situation and i went to the hospital that [1:45:05] night and the doctor said almost no chance that he survives and his wife jennifer i mean the only good [1:45:12] thing is that i realized how much she loved him because who the hell knows about a wife loving i don't [1:45:17] know some do some don't she was so devastated i've had people that were on the deathbed and the wife [1:45:24] doesn't give it to him and i'm not and steve was literally i we thought it was not going to make it [1:45:31] the doctor said he's never seen such blood loss and they had to replace the blood they've never [1:45:36] i think he said it was a record he said very small chance so we're going to do the best we could the wife [1:45:42] she was uh the the whole family just devastated couldn't speak couldn't do anything when he finally [1:45:49] got to where you could talk to him i said well at least you have a wife that loves you that's good [1:45:55] but but uh steve went through hell and he recovered and it was amazing that he recovered and then he he [1:46:03] went to the baseball game like the following year he did that recovery was tough and yet he he worked he [1:46:09] walked around he could hardly walk he was really hit badly i mean not nobody gave him much of a chance [1:46:16] and they put him at second base during the game and they had a lot of people it's a good game between [1:46:22] the democrats and the republicans it's sort of a tradition for many many decades and steve was a [1:46:28] good player but you know he didn't have exactly great mobility he couldn't even walk and they put [1:46:34] him in second base and this was only a few months later four months later and he really could barely [1:46:40] do anything i don't even know who the hell the coach is to put you there there's a second baseman [1:46:46] named bobby richardson he was with the yankees for like 14 50. he was known for range he could feel [1:46:52] the ball at shortstop he could feel the this was not bobby richardson bobby richardson right or mvp [1:47:00] but uh steve was at second base and this could only happen to us the first batter gets up strong guy [1:47:06] democrat first pitch ripped ripped ground ball ripped right at steve the good news he didn't have [1:47:15] to go he got down on his knees the ball hit him really hard he picked [1:49:01] doing unbelievable things he helped us with venezuela helped us with a lot he's now working on iran and [1:49:09] he will he'll pull it off too if one way the other we're going to pull it up me well my first match was against the new york state wrestling champion i just found out about [1:52:33] two months ago somebody said you wrestled so and so but the greatest wrestler in the history of college and [1:52:41] wrestling is a man named dan gable and he's here someplace he's here somewhere where's that dan could [1:52:51] you come up please i'm such a fan of dan gable could you come up come up everybody said there's never [1:53:02] been anybody i don't know could i take him i was a little bit larger than him i think i would have [1:53:07] been in trouble come here dude thank you i think we've had enough i'm a pretty good coach and i read [1:53:26] everything really well this guy's doing the job that needs to be done and that's my coaching expertise [1:53:37] so and i'm a pretty damn good coach thank you by the way he was the best coach the best ever you have [1:53:52] another great coach around too but he was a great wrestler and a great coach i just i'm looking at [1:53:57] dan and i'm saying to look at him i say so why would you know you can't tell right okay if i'm [1:54:05] going to look at dan i'm going to say what makes him like almost undefeated in history i mean he won [1:54:11] everything what's special you never really know right but there's something in there between the head [1:54:17] and the muscle that's different and better than anybody else and you really are a legend and you're [1:54:23] a fantastic guy with a fantastic family and we love you dan everybody loves it thanks great honor [1:54:29] to have you here what an honor to have tuesday and i just thought i'd send before finishing up i want you to see these [1:54:48] two charts done by cnn and it tells it all thank you okay maggie gop on trump in the 2024 election [1:54:57] versus kamala harris he got 99 of the maggie gop vote perhaps surprisingly i might have thought it'd [1:55:03] be 100 but it was 99 compare that to his approval rating now with the maggie gop it's 98 that is there's [1:55:11] been no real decline in maggie support these folks say that they're going to vote for congressional [1:55:16] republicans come to midterm elections again that's the 99 that trump got against kamala harris look [1:55:22] now in terms of the congressional vote 98 of them say they're going to be voting for house republican [1:55:27] candidates so that support is actually really holding up strong it's really really strong when [1:55:33] it comes to mega gop and the republicans holding on to that vote this one okay the president republicans [1:55:40] most admire it's donald trump this is a historic comparison a majority of republicans say 53 say [1:55:46] he's the republican president they most admire ronald reagan who traditionally has won that much [1:55:51] donald trump nearly triples up on this reagan at just 18 and then abraham lincoln who by most historic [1:55:59] accounts is the greatest president of all time but republicans say that the president that they most [1:56:04] admire by what is this this is six seven times as many donald john trump at 53 percent easily crushing [1:56:10] abe lincoln at eight percent and the elon poll showed that he was the greatest president as well [1:56:14] i feel like this slide might end up on print down on his desk thank you very much that's an honor [1:56:19] that's an honor so in conclusion if you elect a republican house and a republican senate on november [1:56:28] 3rd we will continue to put america first every single day we have to put america first [1:56:37] we will win the war on corruption and fraud led by our great vice president jd vance he's doing a [1:56:42] great job we will pass the no invasion of our country act prohibiting any future president from [1:56:52] ever opening our borders to illegal immigrants again we will ban sanctuary cities and pass the [1:57:02] death penalty for large-scale drug dealers human traffickers and anyone who kills a police officer [1:57:09] or a member of law enforcement and we will pass voter identification proof of citizenship and the save [1:57:21] america act to defend our sacred american elections and we will enshrine in permanent law no men in women's [1:57:32] sports and no trans gender mutualization of our children so ladies and gentlemen of iowa the golden age [1:57:41] of america is upon us but you must get out and vote and you have to vote republican we're going to keep it [1:57:47] going we're going to be bigger better stronger than anyone's ever even imagined go vote early or vote on [1:57:54] election day probably now you better off just wait till election day but go and make sure your vote is [1:58:01] tabulated that your vote counts and we're gonna have this big we're gonna have a tremendous i think [1:58:06] we're gonna have a little crowds i think we're gonna have a tremendous victory on tuesday so we've already made [1:58:14] made unbelievable progress and now we will reach new levels of greatness it's my honor to be your [1:58:20] president during this such an exciting period of time it's such an honor for me to be you are the [1:58:26] people that built this country it's such an honor for me it really is such an honor for me to be your [1:58:35] president during this unbelievable period of time the growth 25 trillion dollars in growth in a short [1:58:42] period of time we've never seen anything like it we've been doing this for 11 years now and they're [1:58:49] just uh i don't think anything like this will ever happen again we have to enjoy it and appreciated it [1:58:55] we have to appreciate it thank you god bless you [1:59:38] all god bless you president trump wrapping up his speech in dubuque iowa extended to our campaign stop [1:59:50] for him and at the end of the week it was canceled but they put it back on the final push ahead of the [1:59:56] midterms you saw he brought along speaker mike johnson steve scalise doug burgum a member of his cabinet [2:00:03] for this uh to tout some of the republicans in the hawkeye state including republican congresswoman [2:00:11] ashley henson up for senate joni ernst retiring also zach lane for governor zach nunn uh hoping to [2:00:19] uh secure a seat in congress as well so plenty of top republicans hoping that tuesday will be a good [2:00:27] night for them we'll see what happens iowa among some very important states for the president and the [2:00:33] republican party iowa kansas which he is heading to next kind of up for grabs an interesting uh group [2:00:41] of states that could influence this election this midterm cycle so president trump there with so [2:00:48] many supporters in iowa and dubuque and it's really that eastern portion of iowa and the turnout and how [2:00:54] much they support the president but also the republican ticket that will determine just what happens in the [2:00:59] final two years of president trump's second term so we're following closely here on live now from vox it's [2:01:05] hard to cover exactly all that he talked about but also the note that democratic congresswoman ashley [2:01:11] stevens now backing the republican and that senate race in michigan of note he mentioned that very [2:01:18] early in that campaign speech as speaker mike johnson calling her a hero saying it was very brave of her to [2:01:25] do uh the democrats on the other hand disagrees saying chuck schumer saying it was a despicable [2:01:31] betrayal so lots to get into here just a few days out from the midterm cycle president trump gonna be [2:01:37] in kansas we'll take that speech in full it was supposed to begin about 20 minutes or so but you [2:01:42] can imagine with the travel and everything that goes into that it's going to be a little bit delayed [2:01:47] but we'll have it later on
