[0:00] Those are the things on the ground, [0:01] on top of the fact that people have less money in their pockets, [0:04] they're looking at the trade wars, [0:06] they're looking at the war in Iran, [0:07] and they're saying that Republicans have no spine [0:10] in standing up to Donald Trump about making any of these decisions [0:13] and are circumventing the Constitution [0:15] to be able to continue on with his agenda. [0:18] As Trump continues to attack Fox and the hosts fire back, [0:22] no wonder as the midterms are fast approaching, [0:26] Trump is panicking. [0:27] Jessica, take us home. [0:28] Okay, let's go home, guys. [0:31] Kamala Harris at this moment doesn't matter. [0:34] It's a waste of time to be talking about this. [0:37] The election is in 12 days, [0:39] and the things that actually matter [0:40] are what's going on on the ground in these races. [0:43] Watching Republicans pull money out of what should be competitive races, [0:47] using Donald Trump to go to deep red states [0:50] to shore up candidates where their challengers, [0:53] whether a Democrat or an independent candidate, [0:55] shouldn't be anywhere near them. [0:57] Things that matter. [0:58] Donald Trump doubling down on Vivek's disgusting ad about Amy Acton. [1:03] Governor DeWine coming out and saying, [1:04] Vivek, take it down. [1:05] But J.D. Vance defending him also. [1:08] That matters. [1:09] This huge Paxton donor, Thomas J. Henry, [1:11] who gave $600,000 to Ken Paxton, [1:14] sat down with James Tallarico [1:15] and just posted a video saying, [1:17] I'm for Tallarico. [1:19] He's the one actually who shares our values. [1:21] Those are the things on the ground, [1:23] on top of the fact that people have less money in their pockets, [1:25] they're looking at the trade wars, [1:27] they're looking at the war in Iran, [1:29] and they're saying that Republicans have no spine [1:31] in standing up to Donald Trump about making any of these decisions [1:35] and are circumventing the Constitution [1:37] to be able to continue on with his agenda. [1:40] So laugh at our gummies. [1:41] Definitely not the dumbest person you ever saw on the campaign trail. [1:44] I would say that. [1:45] As they say, follow the money. [1:48] And if you follow the money, [1:49] you see how badly the Republicans are doing, [1:52] how much Trump is in trouble, [1:54] even in deep red Texas. [1:57] As Jessica Tarlov on Fox said, [2:00] one significant detail is a huge donor for Ken Paxton, [2:05] who had previously donated $600,000 to Ken Paxton, [2:10] just came out and endorsed James Tallarico. [2:13] Now, somebody who's willing to give that much money to a candidate [2:17] is usually going to stick by that candidate, [2:20] certainly stick by that candidate for as long as they think [2:23] that person can be in a position of power and help them out. [2:28] The fact that the donor was willing to spend that much money [2:32] and pivot so hard to then back challenger, [2:37] James Tallarico shows that he thinks [2:39] that James Tallarico is going to win. [2:42] And you know what? [2:43] I think the rest of Trump and the Republicans realize that too, [2:47] which is why they're going so hard against James Tallarico. [2:50] But the fact of the matter is, [2:51] they can call him whatever kind of childish name they want. [2:55] He's an exceptional candidate [2:56] who put out an exceptional ad [2:59] and is resonating with Texans all over. [3:02] You have spent some time in Kansas. [3:05] President Trump's heading there. [3:07] We were just talking about beef prices with the North Dakota senator. [3:09] This is a problem for Roger Marshall in Kansas. [3:11] I was there a couple of weeks ago. [3:13] Not a place I expected to be in the final stretch of this campaign. [3:16] No Democrat has won the Senate race in Kansas since 1932. [3:19] That's nearly a century. [3:21] But there's a lot at play here that I think [3:23] speaks to the broader themes of this election. [3:25] First of all, kind of going back to the point I made, [3:28] Roger Marshall is a candidate, a current incumbent, [3:31] that Republicans kind of feel meh about. [3:34] They like the president, but not necessarily translating to him. [3:37] Everything you've been seeing across the country, [3:39] the cost of diesel, especially for farmers in Kansas, is important. [3:42] But I spent an afternoon with a cattle farmer in Kansas [3:45] who likes the president, supported the president time and again, [3:48] still supports him. [3:49] But the decision that the administration made [3:52] to allow beef imports into the market, [3:55] that is something that is directly affecting him. [3:57] And he told me for the first time [3:58] he is considering voting for the Democrat, Adam Hamilton here, [4:02] who I interviewed. [4:03] And he said, you know, if you talk to him, [4:06] he often references that he's a former Republican. [4:08] He's not campaigning on the national party brand, [4:11] which he can't do in a place like Kansas. [4:13] But he's making it competitive because of kind of that perfect storm [4:17] of complications that Republicans have going for them. [4:20] And then the nuances in a lot of these races, [4:23] administration policies directly affecting the constituencies [4:27] that tend to vote for Trump. [4:29] So that gets to the turnout question. [4:31] Is that enough to depress them [4:32] and enough to convert a couple of them? [4:35] The other part to follow the money is in Kansas, [4:38] of all places. [4:39] Now, this is a stunning story [4:41] because polls say one thing, [4:43] but again, where you put your money is a whole other thing. [4:47] The Republican Super PAC pulled their money out of North Carolina. [4:52] They have all but conceded Roy Cooper is going to win that race. [4:56] The Democrat Roy Cooper. [4:58] And instead, they put the money in Kansas. [5:01] Kansas has not had a Democrat senator since the 1930s. [5:07] They pulled out eight to $14 million in North Carolina [5:10] to evidently spend in Kansas. [5:12] Every dollar they have to spend [5:15] in a deep red state like Kansas hurts them [5:19] in every swing state [5:21] where Democrats are running really viable candidates. [5:26] The left has done a very good job at. [5:28] That's why we want to chat [5:28] with some college students here on campus. [5:31] I'm going to come over here. [5:32] Andrew, what are you expecting the president to say [5:34] and what are some of the issues [5:35] that you are looking to this election cycle? [5:39] I'm hoping to see some relief about the war, [5:41] some inflation come down, interest rates come down, [5:44] just some sustainability when I'm, you know, [5:47] shopping, getting gas in my truck, things like that. [5:50] It's just absurd pricing right now. [5:51] So I'm just hoping to see some relief in the economy. [5:55] Well, absolutely. [5:57] Now, the latest Fox News power rankings [5:59] say that the race here is shifting, [6:02] leaning Republican to likely Republican. [6:05] Trump's DOJ just took another extraordinary step [6:08] in the show that they are afraid [6:10] they're going to even lose in Alaska. [6:13] The Democrat candidate there, Mary Perlotta, [6:16] is gaining on Dan Sullivan, the Republican incumbent. [6:20] So the Department of Justice just sued, [6:23] saying that if Dan Sullivan loses, [6:26] then the certification should be blocked. [6:29] They're literally asking a court of this. [6:32] They're asking a court of this just one day [6:35] after Todd Blanch was asked by a reporter [6:37] if the Department of Justice would intervene [6:40] to block any state certification. [6:42] And he said, there may be a doomsday scenario. [6:45] Well, evidently, the very next day, [6:46] there was this hypothetical doomsday scenario. [6:49] The problem is, according to the DOJ, [6:52] is that there's two Dan Sullivans in the ballot, [6:54] and this is going to be confusing, [6:56] and so no vote should be certified [6:58] unless there's a, quote, investigation. [7:00] The problem for the Department of Justice and Trump, [7:05] Todd Blanch, is that this issue [7:06] has already been looked at and litigated. [7:09] So there are two Dan Sullivans on the ballot, [7:12] and this went all the way up to the Alaska Supreme Court [7:15] before the primary in June. [7:17] That rule that the steps [7:19] that the election officials there took [7:22] helped clarify the ballot. [7:24] And the steps they took, [7:25] not only did they use the two middle initials [7:28] of the two men, [7:29] but for Dan Sullivan, the Republican incumbent, [7:32] the ballot literally says next to his name [7:35] that he's the Republican and the incumbent. [7:38] So it would clear up any kind of confusion [7:41] over the two names. [7:43] Plus, Alaska has rank choice voting. [7:46] So if somebody wanted to rank [7:48] one of the Dan Sullivans [7:50] and then the other Dan Sullivan, [7:51] neither of the Dan Sullivans would get hurt. [7:54] Here's the thing. [7:56] The Department of Justice [7:57] is trying to do everything it can [7:59] to help Trump win. [8:01] We know this because they're also suing LA County [8:04] to try to get 20,000 ballots thrown out, [8:07] despite the fact that the registrars [8:09] looking through that list [8:11] found only 7,000 even had addresses in LA County. [8:17] So between following the money [8:19] and following the Department of Justice legal action, [8:24] you know Trump and the Republicans [8:25] know they're going to lose at the midterms [8:29] because people are angry [8:31] with the way Trump has handled [8:34] and mishandled our economy, [8:36] foreign relations, [8:37] making a joke, giving gifts to Putin. [8:40] And people have had enough. [8:42] And early voting is up in droves, [8:46] certainly higher than any prior midterm election. [8:50] People want Trump held to account. [8:53] One book, a whole lot of WTF. [8:56] My brothers and I wrote WTF America [8:58] about how we got into this mess, [9:00] the millions of you who refused to back down, [9:03] and how we get out.
