[0:00] Former member of parliament from Canada, Charlie Angus, just brought the house down at a powerful
[0:05] speech in Ottawa. He gave this speech really addressed to not just Canada, but the entire
[0:12] world laying the smack down to Donald Trump for Trump's catastrophic and unlawful war in Iran
[0:18] and Donald Trump and his gangster regime's authoritarian behavior. This was a call to arms,
[0:26] if you will, by Charlie Angus within Canada and to the rest of the world that values democracy.
[0:32] Do something now, stand up and stop this gangster regime. And he did it in Ottawa. I want to show
[0:38] you what went down. Let me show you a short clip, one of the most powerful moments of this speech by
[0:43] former member of parliament of Canada, Charlie Angus. Play this clip.
[0:47] Canada is a sovereign, independent and free nation. Our border and our democracy does not
[0:54] exist at the whim of the predator in the White House. Anyone who thinks that our nation's
[1:01] borders will be respected because the gangster in Washington happens to like the king fails to
[1:07] recognize the nature of the threat before us. Then Charlie Angus was not holding back when he
[1:13] called out Donald Trump in no uncertain terms. Let's play it. There is no morality in a man accused
[1:20] of raping children and no morality in a political system that would give such unprecedented power
[1:27] to this criminal. More from Charlie Angus as well, talking about the moment that we're in right now.
[1:33] Let's play it. The world stood frozen as the madman with the nuclear codes used the threat of destroying
[1:40] a civilization as a negotiating tactic. Terrifying, but not nearly as terrifying as the fact that no one
[1:48] is stepping up to stop him. We are witnessing the collective failure and complicity of the political
[1:56] institutions, the courts, the media, and the business class of the most powerful nation on earth.
[2:01] Now, I want to show you the whole speech that Charlie Angus gave. Don't worry, it's not all that long.
[2:06] It's under seven minutes in length. Please watch this entire speech. It is so powerful.
[2:11] It is so incredible. Play this clip.
[2:13] This past week, the world stood frozen as the madman with the nuclear codes used the threat of
[2:20] destroying a civilization as a negotiating tactic. Terrifying, but not nearly as terrifying as the
[2:29] fact that no one is stepping up to stop him. We are witnessing the collective failure and complicity
[2:36] of the political institutions, the courts, the media, and the business class of the most powerful
[2:41] nation on earth. And where are the allied nations? Hoping, perhaps, that he won't notice us?
[2:50] This past week, we learned that Donald Trump said he wasn't going to invade Canada or force the
[2:54] movement of the border. Not because we were a democratic ally, not because it would be a breach
[3:00] of international law, but because he says he likes King Charles. Canada is a sovereign, independent,
[3:08] and free nation. Our border and our democracy does not exist at the whim of the predator in the White
[3:15] House. Anyone who thinks that our nation's borders will be respected because the gangster in Washington
[3:22] happens to like the king fails to recognize the nature of the threat before us. This is a president
[3:30] who says the only constraint on his actions is not Congress, not the courts, not international law,
[3:38] but, quote, my own morality, my own mind. There is no morality in a man accused of raping children
[3:47] and no morality in a political system that would give such unprecedented power to this criminal.
[3:55] The issue for Canada is that we share a 9,000 kilometer undefended border with a nation that is no
[4:01] longer under the rule of law. Trump's threat to NATO is not just a threat to Ukraine and Greenland.
[4:10] It is a threat to us because it is about isolating us. Donald Trump has never wavered in his attack on
[4:18] our nation or lessened the insults against our leaders and institutions. We are now like Finland
[4:25] and the Baltic states on the border of a menacing threat, but they have taken an all-of-society approach
[4:33] to resistance. Canada needs one as well. For the past year, I've traveled this country meeting people
[4:40] and listening to their views on how to protect Canada's sovereignty and independence. Canadians
[4:45] are united like never before. They're willing to do their part, and they're fiercely determined to
[4:51] protect our democracy and our values. It's been reported that the government has set up plans for
[4:58] a 300,000-person volunteer citizens force, but so far nothing's been said publicly. Why? I've met many
[5:07] people willing to sign up. This is not about marching with bayonets in Belleville, but building
[5:12] local teams of resilience to help out in whatever kind of emergency we face. It is about sending a
[5:19] message to the world that Canada's sovereignty is not up for discussion. This morning, I'm going to bring
[5:26] forward some suggestions based on what people have been talking to me about from one end of the country
[5:32] to the other. People who ask the question, well, what can I do? How do I make a difference? In 1940,
[5:40] when the Nazis invaded Denmark, 17-year-old youth named Arnie Sager wrote what he called were the
[5:47] Ten Commandments of Resistance. And those commandments were passed from family to family to citizen to
[5:52] citizen, and the Danish people maintained a remarkable level of solidarity and saved almost the entire
[5:58] Jewish population. Now, we are nowhere near the level of threat faced by the Danish people, but given
[6:04] the deteriorating situation south of the border, we have a responsibility as citizens to be active
[6:11] participants at this moment in history. So I offer you 10 simple steps every Canadian should take to
[6:20] protect our democracy. Number one, I promise to do whatever I can to defend the sovereignty,
[6:27] territorial integrity, and democracy of Canada. Two, I promise to respond to the best of my abilities to
[6:34] help in times of national disasters, floods, fires, or threats to our border. Three, I promise to upgrade
[6:41] my skills to help my community and my country, whether in emergency preparedness, first aid, or other
[6:48] training. Four, I promise to show up for my community and country by voting and participating in
[6:56] grassroots democratic actions, including resistance against anti-democratic threats. Five, I promise to
[7:04] remain true to the values of inclusion, fairness, and respect for Indigenous rights, and I will do my best
[7:11] to ensure that no one is singled out because of their sex, gender, race, or religious background.
[7:19] Six, I promise to boycott everything I can coming out of the United States and to support regional food
[7:25] sovereignty through buying local wherever possible. Seven, I promise to be an active blocker of
[7:33] disinformation and hate. Eight, I promise to be active locally, helping to create small groups of
[7:40] resistors and to recruit fence hitters. Solidarity supports courage. We cannot do this alone. Nine,
[7:47] I promise to be a non-cooperator with tyranny. If my company or institution has contracts with tyrants
[7:54] or attempts to roll back rights, I will voice opposition, slow walk the work, or refuse altogether.
[8:01] Our labor is power. We need to push the corporate, education, and political sectors to take a stand.
[8:09] And ten, I promise that if our territorial integrity is breached, either externally or internally,
[8:16] I will be an active disruptor. I will refuse to obey any orders from those who would undermine our
[8:22] sovereignty, and will engage in mass acts of mass resistance and disobedience to frustrate invaders,
[8:29] demoralize those fake authorities, and make it impossible for any undemocratic threat to govern us.
[8:36] We can tell ourselves, don't overreact. We can tell ourselves, well, hey, the king likes us.
[8:45] We can hope that NATO will protect us. We can tell ourselves, well, the midterms are coming,
[8:50] and everything's going to be returning to normal again. Or we can face the fact that the only thing
[8:56] that will save this beautiful and, at times, fragile democracy is ourselves, the Canadian people.
[9:05] Le monde est témoin de la menace que représente le régime de Washington.
[9:10] Now, I'm sure you all know Charlie Angus is with the Midas Touch Network.
[9:14] He's the leader of the Maple Midas. Midas Canada is his channel. And he has the Midas Canada Tour,
[9:23] where he's been traveling around Canada, and he's been meeting with Canadians from all over Canada.
[9:29] And most recently, he was in Grimsby in Ontario and gave an incredible speech.
[9:35] But Midas Canada has been traveling all around and just delivering this message of truth, of love,
[9:41] of democracy. Let me just show you a short portion of Charlie Angus' latest speech. This one was in
[9:47] Grimsby. Take a watch and make sure you catch Charlie Angus when he visits your town or your city
[9:53] in Canada. Here, play this short clip. This is the entire system of the media and the courts
[10:00] and the politicians who've let this happen. And now we are dealing with the results.
[10:06] There's a reason they can't abide a democratic nation on their border, because we are still a
[10:17] nation of the rule of law. We're still a nation that believes that diversity is not a sign of
[10:25] weakness. It's a sign of strength, that we believe in fairness. And we are not going to let any of that
[10:34] mega hate come across our border. Not now, not ever. That's why they hate us. But you feel alone,
[10:48] but you're not alone. And I want to tell you that wherever I go in this country, from the little
[10:53] village of North Rustico, Prince Edward Island, to the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, we pack
[11:00] halls like this. And they're not here to hear me do the song and dance. They're here to say,
[11:07] what do we do to defend our democracy? And I think we are at a very powerful moment. I mean, okay,
[11:14] let's face it. Wouldn't we just rather be like going back and doing what we normally did? But we're at a
[11:21] moment of history. We've always been in a moment of history. But right now, we all know it. And I
[11:26] know history sucks. It really does. But we have the opportunity to decide what kind of nation we're
[11:34] going to be. There you have it, everybody. Let me know what you think. Hit subscribe. Help us get
