[0:00] i have some tour dates to tell you about i'll be in las vegas nevada over labor day weekend if [0:05] you're going to be there then i will too i'll be in bend oregon spokane washington portland [0:14] oregon vancouver in the canada oklahoma city north little rock springfield missouri kansas city [0:21] missouri sioux falls lacrosse green bay moline lafayette louisiana and beaumont texas all [0:32] tickets through theovon.com slash t-o-u-r and thank you so much uh for your support i can't uh [0:41] thank you enough you know my uh ninth grade civics teacher barbara olinger um would be tickled to know [0:50] that one of her students is getting to sit down uh with a president today um so i just want to [0:56] speak her name um she taught me to care about our country uh and i still do today's guest uh is the [1:05] 45th president of the united states of america and he's currently running for president on the [1:11] republican ticket he's been an entrepreneur a businessman a television personality we sat down [1:19] at his club in bedminster new jersey and we want to thank the crew there uh for helping us make the [1:26] production happen he's one of the most famous people on earth and i'm grateful for this chance [1:31] to learn more about the man behind the headlines today's guest is donald trump but your thing is [2:07] going really great my son's a big fan of yours baron really baron is yeah he just graduated uh high [2:13] school right that's right he just said he knows you very well he said dad he's big wow that's cool [2:21] that's where it is nowadays right yeah well it's interesting you know yeah i can't believe that um [2:26] we're able to get platforms and we started in my kitchen and then yeah just evolved out of there [2:31] that's fantastic i mean it's pretty unbelievable what um does baron please do you want to start [2:36] you go ahead yeah we're good are we rolling yeah sure we're good yeah that's um you know does baron play [2:41] sports or anything he does he plays golf and uh different sports soccer loves soccer very good [2:47] at soccer uh he's a good athlete baron yeah is he gonna go has he already picked a college or no he [2:54] has and he's uh getting set to go in the fall good college a very good one and he was always a very [3:01] good student he's smart smart guy which one of yeah like which one of your kids like yeah what's [3:06] something you admire about each one of your sons well don is a hunter he's a great great hunter [3:13] and knows everything about that world and guns and all he was the first one that said dad boy [3:22] you got lucky because i didn't realize that 130 yards is actually very close [3:28] in that parlance and uh he said you got lucky he knew immediately when he saw that he said it's [3:35] incredible because that's considered a pretty close distance from how far the shooter was yeah [3:40] oh yeah the guy wasn't a bad shooter supposedly you know he was a very disturbed guy but he wasn't a [3:45] bad shooter and eric likewise uh he loves the business he loves real estate also very much of a hunter and [3:54] understands a lot of things about that they were sort of as young guys they were with their grandfather [4:00] and he would take them hunting in czechoslovakia and somehow they developed very well and uh czechoslovakia [4:07] yeah can you imagine it's a lot of letters even that's a long time that's the name you don't hear [4:11] too much anymore but it was uh i'd need a scope just to get through the spelling of that word a lot of [4:16] people a lot of people yeah but uh so he'd go they'd spend time in europe and they'd do that that's [4:22] where he learned a lot about both of them really good uh with your dad they would go no uh grandfather [4:29] actually the the uh they had a grandfather who was a wonderful uh outdoorsman and athlete and [4:37] during the summer he'd take them out into the woods and they'd go hunting and lots of things and they [4:41] loved it they got to love it and that's don and that's eric yeah they're funny oh yeah they have [4:47] good sense of humor too like whenever i see them at ufc it's like yeah right yeah i just like the first [4:52] time i was nervous i think and then after that when i've seen them it's like it's fun to kind of cut [4:56] up with a little bit yeah well they're they're good uh they're good guys and they they really uh [5:02] they get along great with the rest of the family we all get along great we have a good family [5:07] and but i love you i see we you talk about uh a great guy how about dana white good job he does [5:12] right yeah i don't yeah i want to thank dana too for helping uh get us set up together yeah he makes [5:17] it happen i like dana he's um he's uh he doesn't waste words he doesn't waste time he likes to i think be [5:25] efficient and um he likes he has a seems like a strong sense of integrity for himself yeah nobody [5:31] like him actually it's uh you know there's an expression that everybody is uh replaceable not [5:37] dana nobody could do what he does and he's made that sport into a big monster sport yeah and it's [5:43] interesting and we go there and we enjoy it go with him sometimes we do walk-ons with dana and place [5:49] sort of likes it oh yeah i've been there yeah but there's a video i was in behind you in one um [5:56] one video i'm sure the dogs here will pull it up um but yeah those are some of my favorite [6:02] those are some of my favorite things ever it became ufc became my favorite sport during the pandemic [6:05] because dana was brave enough to stay open you know he was it he was the whole ball game he was [6:10] the only sport and he uh he'd open up in arenas with nothing other than very good fighters yeah and they [6:17] would be fighting he had some of the best fights during the pandemic yeah but he was exceptional [6:21] there it is right there see look oh yeah you are and i'm right behind you there oh that's great [6:27] that's right the white guy in the hat is right that's great yeah i mean there's a lot of us there [6:31] but i was one of them for sure um yeah see that's me right good sport isn't it huh yeah i'm a dustin [6:36] poirier fan so oh he's great he was uh boy i tell you he's a warrior that last fight he had [6:41] whether you like it or not he is a warrior yeah yeah it felt like he didn't get the he didn't get [6:46] the victory but it didn't feel like he lost no he didn't lose that fight he really the man he was [6:53] fighting was tough he was tough and didn't expect that same fight but he oftentimes will he he makes [7:00] people suffer there's no question about no he's all he's all he's a pro he's a professional he's all [7:05] heart he's from louisiana that's where it was as that fight went along he just got stronger and [7:09] stronger and he was getting pounded and he was going to be choked out about four different times [7:15] and he just wouldn't let it happen no you say hello to him he's good yeah i'll make sure he's [7:20] a really great fighter and he cooks thanksgiving dinner every year oh wow yeah maybe i'll have to [7:24] go sometime oh yeah i mean he must do good food he does yeah he does some good stuff over there um [7:30] yeah what was the first do you remember like the first fight that you ever went to whether it was [7:33] it was ufc or boxing or anything yeah i do uh it was uh joe frazier muhammad ali in madison square [7:42] garden many many years ago and i think it was the first fight i went to i liked i always liked the [7:48] boxing how old were you remember oh boy i don't know you can deduct it from what i am now but it was a [7:54] long time ago but they were two undefeated fighters they were both undefeated uh muhammad became a friend [8:01] i mean so did joe jolt and joe uh he was uh they were two great fighters that fight was incredible [8:08] i think they had like many heart attacks that night literally heart attacks in madison square garden [8:14] i think it was madison square garden and the fight was so unbelievable two undefeated heavyweight [8:20] champions of the world there was no ufc and there was no competition really it was it yeah and so you [8:26] had two guys remember that muhammad wasn't allowed to fight because of lots of different things and [8:32] uh he was a terrific guy both terrific guys very different they finally made it happen they finally [8:37] made it happen they had two undefeated heavyweight champions fighting and who took you to the fight [8:41] you remember i went with my father and my brother robert and uh it was just i don't know i must have [8:49] been very young it was a long time ago but you would never forget it that was one of those moments [8:54] oh yeah literally there were like many heart attacks in the arena if people having too much fun or [9:00] what do you think it was just driving heart attacks because it was such a crazy event oh yeah it was [9:06] so the people were just i know a friend of mine the father he went uh he had a bad heart attack [9:13] literally they took him out they were taking people out it's early and i don't hear that anymore i mean [9:18] there are other exciting sporting events i don't think there's ever been i don't know i i guess there has [9:23] but you would think joe frazier muhammad ali that first fight but it was a very exciting time yeah [9:29] and just people being i guess yeah sometimes our systems aren't ready to handle the amount of [9:33] excitement that's going on you know like i think like yeah maybe people just couldn't even handle [9:38] so much joy you think like you think it was that people were just so excited they had heart attacks i [9:43] mean they just had i guess they do it maybe super bowls or something oh people have heart attacks [9:49] eating a thick soup you know so it's like i'm not surprised that something so awesome like that [9:54] would make your heart be like yeah i'm out yeah but i never hear of it you know and i'm sure it happens [10:00] just that one but uh we had an exciting event the other night with elon elon musk and me listen we had a [10:07] pretty big audience for that one i can tell you yeah i listened for probably about like 20 minutes i thought it [10:12] was cool it was i i think the tough part was just like uh the all just like it would have been neat [10:18] if you guys could have been in the same spot you know but i still thought i heard the audio was [10:22] great and actually they put out a clear tape of it because they had clear tape oh nice they had so [10:27] many millions and millions of people watching like record numbers of people and i'm trying to figure out [10:33] we're on a cell phone or i was and you know that's a lot of people coming into a cell phone one way or [10:39] the other yeah but i heard some people had a problem with the audio i don't know i don't do that [10:44] thing you know that was done and and uh we had a great conversation it was for two hours and 15 [10:49] minutes they just put out a clear tape of it a perfect tape of it but i sounded i think i sounded [10:56] somebody said uh your voice was distorted or something and and you know i guess it happens look [11:03] it was such a big thing such a big audio but i would have i would have loved to have seen the clear [11:08] tape originally they put it out right after the show so now it's a clear tape where a perfect tape [11:14] done there yeah but when it goes through different phone systems and everything else uh you think if [11:19] we were together that doesn't happen then because i think his voice was more clear yeah maybe because [11:24] he was the one who who was like initiating the call i'm not sure yeah i'm not sure about how all that [11:29] works but yeah i know that in post a lot of times they can tighten things up and make it better you [11:33] know i um yeah it's amazing how elon like the cost to have really have your own voice in the world [11:40] is 44 billion dollars basically well if you want to have your voice like you know i'm saying he has [11:46] his own like he has his own channel and he does what he wants to do yeah he's a fantastic guy and he's [11:52] a brilliant person and the country should be very proud of him actually i have truth which has been very [11:58] successful uh true social you mean true social yeah and that's uh been very successful in getting [12:05] my voice out well i needed a voice because you know i was on twitter and i was on uh instagram i was on [12:11] all of it and uh i was on facebook and when you added it up i had i i was told by uh zuckerberg and [12:20] others it was like record-setting type of numbers and then one day i didn't have anything because they [12:26] canceled i mean they canceled there's such a collusion there right yeah it was it was a pretty [12:31] bad thing and so i had nothing so after about a month you don't have a lot of things to say and [12:36] after about a month i said you know what i'm going to do i'm going to just go out and put out an old [12:40] public relations statement you you remember that and although you're a little young to see it but in [12:46] the old days you'd put out a statement and i did and it was just gobbled up it was really gobbled up and [12:52] i opened truth and truth has become terrific actually for me platform i really want just [12:57] as a platform i mean it's more important than anything else and at least you have your voice [13:01] then you could say what you want to say my voice back yeah i had hundreds of millions of people even [13:07] now i haven't been too active on x but uh i have i guess 90 some odd million people on it and but i was [13:16] much higher than that when i was it's like all the people i don't know how many people there are [13:20] yeah i mean it's been but i i love the job he's done and he's brought a certain voice back into [13:26] into play yeah the previous people were terrible terrible yeah every time you do a thing you'd be [13:31] red flagged every statement you made you'd be red flagged yeah they just it's almost like yeah it's [13:37] like um when you have a babysitter and they don't want to have any fun or whatever yeah yeah that's kind [13:42] of the vibe i got when you um yeah yeah because i see you at the at the fights i see you sometimes [13:47] you'll sit right by dana and sometimes i'll see yeah like me i'll go with like david spade sometimes [13:52] as a close friend of mine good and um yeah i'll see you coming with kid rock and um yeah and you [13:58] don't drink at the fights you know no kid no kid rock is uh he's terrific he came to the convention he [14:03] knocked him he knocked everybody out he was and he's a great guy he's just a great guy he's he's popular [14:10] very popular oh he's so he's definitely he's a real dirt serpent too dude he's a freaking legend you [14:16] know he's he's a legend he is a legend i guess in a true sense oh 100 people love him dude look at [14:21] him i went to his show not long ago somewhere and um people i think some guy had a heart attack there [14:29] too but it was like it was more funnel cake related i think type of vibes um he draws big crowds actually [14:35] it's amazing i saw one he was at uh someplace recently at 80 000 people he's uh he's big stuff [14:42] but he's really forget about that i call him bob you know his name bob right it's bob kid rock but [14:48] it's bob but he's uh a really good guy he's a cool cat right oh yeah i mean i live in natural right [14:56] when i got in uh in in the town he um yeah he hit me up one night and was like hey man i'm having a [15:02] birthday party this week and you should come and i didn't even know him you know and it was nice of [15:05] him and since then we've done a lot of fun stuff together his brother's missing a leg too which is [15:09] crazy he looks like the lamp have you ever seen that movie the lamp like from like a christmas story [15:14] or whatever yeah i don't know yeah but he's fantastic the family the father i knew very well [15:18] he just passed away and it was tough you knew his dad for the brother i did and he was he was fantastic [15:25] i got to know him through knowing bob and i tell you what it's just a fantastic family the whole family [15:32] no i love bob he and i joke around together a lot we've spent a lot of time together look at his [15:36] brother right there that's right dude and you know what he plays golf and he plays well [15:40] he uh he hit a perfect drive with me i said do you play we're on the 17th hole i said do you play [15:48] he goes yes i said oh really you want to hit a shot and he said okay and he got up well it was very hard [15:58] for him to put the i mean it was really a tough situation because he has to get the ball in the [16:02] ground and the tea and everything else nobody did it for him and he did it i mean he goes to the ground [16:08] and he did it gets up he swung and i'm a good golfer he had a perfect shot out to the right with a [16:16] little hook nobody knows what that means in your audience probably but that's like a perfect shot [16:21] and i said that is perfect he said i'll do it again i said don't do it again because you'll never be [16:26] able to hit a shot that good and it was really amazing he's a he's great and and bob really do it [16:32] again too he's a repeat offender yeah they really have an amazing family oh bob's great i love i've [16:37] been at parties at his house you know one thing that's really nice about him is i'll go do something [16:42] with him and then like a few days later he'll send a nice note or he'll send like a photo like a frame [16:47] photo and just say hey man i had a nice time yeah um yeah yeah i noticed at the events you don't drink [16:53] and you don't drink or smoke right i don't drink or smoke you never have no i never have i've uh i had a [16:59] great uh brother who taught me a lesson don't drink don't drink and he said don't smoke he smoked and [17:05] he drank and he was a great guy he was a handsome very handsome guy is he older he was older quite a [17:12] bit older yeah and uh he would uh he had a problem with alcohol and smoke a lot but you know i tell [17:18] people no drugs no drinking no cigarettes yeah i tell that to my kids all the time i'd say no drugs no [17:25] drinking no smoke and uh it was he had well he'd always tell me he'd say never so he was uh you [17:33] know really old enough that you would look up to somebody and i'd look up to him anyway did you [17:40] admire him yeah i admired a lot so much about him he had so much going he had to look uh he had an [17:47] unbelievable personality like a an incredible personality what was his name donald his name was [17:53] fred fred trump and he had a problem with alcohol he got addicted to it because it's and you know [18:01] they say alcohol is tougher than drugs to get off of i've i don't know if you've ever heard that i'm [18:06] in recovery actually i've been in i've been in recovery so like most of the last 10 years from [18:12] alcohol from drugs and alcohol which which is worse for me drugs is the problem but if i have a drink [18:18] then i it's tougher for me to prevent myself from getting it sets off a chain yeah but is which is [18:24] harder to quit i've heard alcohol is harder to quit than drugs if that makes sense i don't know oh yeah [18:30] i mean i can only imagine because it's probably more readily available more readily well and it's [18:34] social and you're sitting and everyone's drinking and all yeah you go to a dinner and everybody's eating [18:39] like you know xanax's or something you know for appetizers usually people are having like a mint you [18:44] know it meant julep or something a little fancier negroni i just learned about right um but yeah so [18:50] you have a problem with that yeah oh wow i've had it's been in my family my family it's like um [18:56] yeah can you can you stay away from it yeah i've done a good job i mean how long have you been off i [19:01] go to recovery meetings i've been off most recently two a little over two years do you ever go back on [19:07] yeah i've had stints where i go back on and um and and you don't control it uh it's tough it gets [19:13] it goes downhill pretty kidding so you think it's gonna be you think you're controlling it and then [19:17] you're damn yeah you're doing go-kart and racing with hookers and stuff it gets bad just not to do [19:22] it right right so then in the end you're like i have to not do it did you see like with your brother [19:27] did you could you see it or anything oh yeah man i was amazed because he he had so much going [19:35] had everything going i think he probably it happened in college at a fraternity maybe or [19:43] i don't know somewhere along the line it happened and all of a sudden you know this is not unique [19:48] this is a very common story unfortunately but and then the family would see it and start to notice it [19:54] and uh it didn't get better it didn't get better i was amazed you know he lived uh for so long in bad [20:02] conditions you know in in terms of i was amazed that his body could hold out it held out [20:07] and it had bad moments and but his body was unbelievably strong that it could that it could [20:13] withstand this yeah it's a body you're probably just so resilient yeah do you remember the last [20:17] time that you saw him or spent with him i do and uh i'm sorry to ask you about it yeah i know [20:24] well you know the reason it's good talking about it is it might help other people if it helps one other [20:30] person it's worth the conversation we talk about that stuff a lot on our on our podcast yeah yeah a lot of [20:35] our audience uh struggles or has struggled with um alcoholism addiction intimacy disorders all types [20:43] of stuff you know so it's like a it's pretty kind of normal conversation but um you know the interesting [20:49] thing is and i tell people so i never had a cigarette and i've never had a glass of alcohol [20:55] and my brother was incredible he would tell me because he knew he had a problem and he'd say don't [21:00] ever drink don't ever smoke he'd always add smoking because he did smoke a lot which is you know not [21:06] very healthy but he'd say don't ever drink don't ever drink he'd tell me every time i said don't [21:11] have a drink because he knew he had this yeah addiction and i never had a glass of alcohol never [21:18] ever did i have a glass of alcohol because of him and i would say that if i did drink i could you know [21:24] conceivably be the type of personality that would have yeah like you that would have a problem but i never [21:30] had and and the only thing i say to people is if too late for the people that you're talking about [21:35] but if you don't drink you don't miss it i mean i i don't even think about alcohol or right it's not [21:41] a part of your world i don't think about cigarettes i don't think about any of that if you if you don't [21:46] take drugs or if you don't have alcohol it's real easy not to drink it it's one i had a friend who uh [21:53] went to the wharton school of finance with me he was a very smart guy where is it wharton school that's [21:58] in philadelphia that's it at oh yeah rocky right and it's a great great school great business school [22:06] and uh it's part of the university of pennsylvania the business school oh it's nice down there yeah [22:11] my friend's brother went there or something well he ate near there then he was smart because it's a [22:17] great school and um but this this person that i met he hated the taste of scotch he hated it couldn't [22:24] stand it but he insisted on having it because he wanted he felt it was important to be able to [22:30] drink i said no just don't drink he said you know to be successful in business you have to sort of [22:34] interact and you have to drink and i said don't do it anyway he became an unbelievable alcoholic [22:42] uncontrollable alcoholic oh i thought you were like one of the best yeah and he died he was a you know he [22:47] but he hated the taste of scotch and he still didn't he couldn't live without it literally well [22:53] i think i noticed a lot of like in the recovery rooms and stuff it's a lot of people that have [22:57] they're missing something inside of them and so they could be they take on like you know they want [23:02] to try and fill it up with something else yeah um yeah do you remember the last time you spent with [23:06] your brother i do and he'd have periods where he'd get sick very sick and we thought we'd lose him or we [23:17] lost him then he got better and that happened five or six times i mean well you thought you lost him [23:24] and then he got better and it was amazing i mean he was you know certainly very strong in that sense [23:30] and i just tell people it's it's so tragic don't drink just don't drink yeah and you're not gonna [23:37] have a problem like even you if you didn't drink you would never but you probably maybe wouldn't be [23:42] successful like you are you know it's part of your your story it's helped me a lot yeah yeah because i [23:47] don't know what would happen probably i think it's just too risky um it is what's something that you [23:51] miss about him or like that they yeah like what's something that you miss about him fred well he was [23:56] wise in a sense i mean think of it he's got this problem and it was very important for him to convey [24:02] to me not to have this problem and i couldn't have been successful if i had that problem yeah if i had [24:08] that problem and and i think maybe i'm a personality type where i could have had the problem if i drank [24:14] but if you don't drink you're never gonna have it i mean i don't miss when i see somebody light [24:18] up a cigarette and just they're in heaven uh i don't miss that at all it's weird it's so [24:25] nate it's very native american isn't it crazy bizarre and you know i think sometimes our older [24:29] brothers they kind of like they take the speed bumps for us like as younger brothers so that we [24:35] don't have to you know what i'm saying does that you know what i'm talking about like my brother went [24:38] through a lot of stuff so that i didn't have to go through it and then i get to see him and learn [24:42] is he okay now yeah he's doing great now yeah he's doing great now but it's just it's like [24:47] yeah that's one of the blessings i think of having an older brother well you can learn through history [24:51] too whether even if it's not a brother it's by watching other people i mean you can see if you [24:55] have a friend who's an alcoholic or even just by reading about people you can learn oh yeah it [25:00] doesn't necessarily have to be a brother but in this case it was very personal it was a brother and [25:05] uh i learned not to drink and i learned not to smoke cigarettes now i don't know that i would have [25:10] smoked cigarettes i probably would have drank i think you know there's no reason not to drink [25:15] but i had a reason because he told me you know just that was it don't do it yeah yeah that was kind [25:20] of a blessing then huh yeah and where did you did they um did you guys ever do anything fun together [25:26] like one nice memory that you have with him um he had a great talent for flying he was a pilot oh sweet [25:33] and he loved it and you ever fly with him uh i did i flow with him he he was a great pilot and a very [25:39] talented other pilots would come to his house to study with him watch him and he was really talented [25:47] that but ultimately he had to give that because of the alcohol he had to give that up which was a [25:52] hard thing for him to do but he had to give that election day is coming up on november 5th and there's [25:59] this really cool website send the vote dot com that makes it easy to register to vote it's non-partisan [26:08] which means they don't care who you're voting for they just want to make sure you can vote head over [26:14] to send the vote dot com they'll help you sign up register and even check if you're good to go i'll [26:22] drop a link in the podcast description let's all get out there and cast our votes this november again that [26:30] is send the vote dot com s-e-n-d-t-h-e-v-o-t-e dot com ai might be the most important new computer [26:42] technology ever it's storming every industry and literally billions of dollars are being invested [26:49] so buckle up the problem is that ai needs a lot of speed and processing power so how do you compete with [26:56] costs spiraling out of control well it's time to upgrade to the next generation on the cloud [27:02] oracle cloud infrastructure or oci oci is a single platform for your infrastructure database application [27:11] development and ai needs oci has four to eight times the bandwidth of other clouds offers one consistent [27:20] price instead of variable regional pricing and of course nobody does data better than oracle so now [27:27] you can train your ai models at twice the speed and less than half the cost of other clouds if you want [27:33] to do more and spend less like uber and databricks mosaic take a free test drive of oci at oracle.com [27:43] slash theo that's oracle.com slash theo o-r-a-c-l-e dot com slash theo yeah it's crazy that's the wildest [27:55] thing to watch is people losing everything you know yeah no they lose everything and many many people [28:00] and yep in those days it wasn't drugs it wasn't like don't drink don't take drugs i don't think [28:06] drugs i don't even know whether they're even a factor they happened pretty long time ago but i think [28:11] in those days i don't think were drugs a factor you go back 25 years ago not like it is now well [28:17] certainly not like now and yeah and that actually takes me into something else i wanted to talk about [28:21] like um alcohol alcoholism and addiction is something that's really ramped up even like [28:26] you're saying like in the past 20 30 years in our country right um and during the opioid epidemic [28:32] um they estimate that like almost 600 000 people died yeah and and that doesn't even include the [28:38] broken hearts and the deaths of families and um circles of trust all you know just people that [28:45] lost a brother didn't even include the actual the siblings right you know and so the ripple effect [28:51] of that is huge um and and there's that there's that sackler family that pretty much got away with it [28:56] you know they had a financial slap on the wrist but uh we're one of the only countries that allows [29:03] um drug advertisements and farm pharmaceutical companies to advertise on television like what do you think [29:08] is are things that you can do um to help curtail that when you get in office so well we did a great [29:15] job we had that make sense or not yes it does make sense and we had uh committees blue ribbon committees [29:22] in certain cases but committees that would meet uh the big problem we have is you know fentanyl is [29:28] probably the biggest opioid is bad opioids bad too yeah i think that's bad because everyone thinks you know in [29:35] many cases they think they're going to do away with pain and literally the time is so short if you [29:43] take it for like two weeks you're almost addicted to it it's incredible when you oh the whole yeah all [29:49] of that is horrible but why do we allow how did you get addicted how how did no i would just do cocaine [29:54] that was really yeah so not just yeah that's and it was down and that's down and dirty right yeah and [30:01] this is yeah this i mean it was yeah but you don't anymore no i don't do it anymore man and i'm not [30:05] doing is it too much too much to handle some of the stuff started to get a real rattle in it too i [30:10] don't know where we were even getting it from in this country but yeah it started to make me feel like [30:15] i was a mechanic or so the thing you go back to then is alcohol for the most part right yeah but well [30:20] what i want probably is cocaine but i know that if i have a drink then it'll give me it'll like be like [30:25] okay well i had a drink then i can do this is cocaine a stronger uh oh yeah up yeah yeah yeah [30:33] so you're way up with cocaine more than anything else you can think okay it'll turn you into a [30:37] damn owl homie you know what i'm saying it'll you'll be you'll be out on your own porch you know [30:42] you'll you'll be your own street lamp you're freaking and is that a good feeling while it's a [30:47] miserable feeling but you do it anyway just like the guy you're saying with the scotch [30:51] like you did you didn't you knew it was bad but you still it's not even good during what would be [30:57] normally the good time in other words oh wow so why would you do it i wouldn't that's why i don't [31:03] yeah that's that's terrible but it's crazy because that's what alcoholism is i think it's that [31:08] it trumps the why yeah like it doesn't and it just you don't and you just go to it's like so that's [31:16] why it's they say that it's um cunning baffling and powerful that's what they say about alcoholism [31:21] and it is it's it's um which is a bigger problem in our country would you say opioids [31:28] bigger than alcohol oh for sure i think it's that's one of the biggest problems and compare that [31:32] to fentanyl oh yeah well that's the problem is people are making fake opioids because they can't [31:36] afford real winds or they're just getting them off the street and then they put fentanyl in them [31:40] yeah um fentanyl's like laced into everything now it's horrible it's horrible yeah they found [31:45] something a baby rattle somewhere i think i don't even know where that was um but one of the things i was [31:51] wanted to ask you about was like so there's like the big pharma lobbyists like there's 1800 [31:56] uh big pharma lobbyists in washington dc right there's only 535 total uh representatives or [32:04] senators total so just the fact that there's this whole other almost drug government yeah that's [32:11] there kind of pushing the you know pushing agendas and influencing things like how do we stop that man [32:16] it just seems like it's obviously killing people like people are dying you know it's like what do [32:22] we have to do that our own government won't help us well you have to stop listening to lobbyists you [32:29] know i was not a big person for lobbyists and if they have even even a little access to like a president [32:34] or a senator or a congressman or woman uh they're snakes you get a lot of money yeah and in some cases [32:41] they just take the money they don't do anything but uh you have a lot of lobbyists in washington [32:45] pushing and certainly a lot for the for all of the things that we're talking about including alcohol [32:52] the lobbyists are winning it yeah they're winning they're making a lot of money absolutely can you [32:56] stop that can can a president stop that like how do we stop that well one way you could stop it is to [33:02] say if you're going to go into government you can never be a lobbyist uh in many cases they have rules [33:08] and regulations where you can't do it for four years three years five years whatever you mean be [33:12] a lobbyist after you were an elected official i mean you could you're saying you could say that you [33:18] if you're an elected official or if you work in government you can never be a lobbyist you have [33:24] people that work in government and they give out contracts to the military and then they leave and [33:29] they work for them for the people that they're giving out contracts to that's exactly what happened [33:33] with the sackler family with the drug companies they hired people that were on the fda [33:39] to work for them so they could loophole the laws yeah or you know but can we outlaw lobbyists or we [33:45] can't do that well there's a whole constitutional thing there i mean can you make somebody never ever [33:52] go into the business if you're if you work for government and especially if you're giving out [33:57] contracts in other words you're a powerful person within some industry the navy the army any you know [34:02] anything it could be military procurement etc uh there's a whole thing like there's a whole question [34:08] is to you give out a contract and then all of a sudden you're working for the person you gave out [34:13] the contract to or the company that you gave out the contract to right it's like you're playing both [34:17] sides in the net well it's and it's obviously a problem and it's a big problem and we were doing [34:22] things about it but then we had to get down to other business we had to solve some we had a lot of [34:26] problems yeah a lot of problems it's pretty clear that the establishment doesn't like you i would say [34:32] what do you think well i think the people like me oh yeah the people we're leading now in all the polls [34:37] were leading and raspberries and just came out a little raspberries is a very highly highly regarded [34:42] poll and we're leaving by like leading by five points raspberries in poll and uh and others also [34:49] and we're doing well but i think the people like me a lot you know we won and then we did no doubt [34:55] so we won in 2016 and then we did much better in 2020 much better got millions and millions more votes [35:02] and why does the establishment keep trying to sink you like what is it that they [35:07] are so afraid of in some cases the things we're talking about right now they want to sell product [35:13] that i'm not interested in they want to have certain boats and certain chips and certain planes and [35:19] certain everything bought pharma is another one that's you know interesting or do they push back [35:26] against you you think uh yeah i think they do well uh yeah i think i think it's pretty obvious that [35:33] they do in one way that's a positive thing politically because when you can show that they push back [35:38] the voters seem to like it but we have a lot of a lot of popularity we have a lot of a lot of people [35:44] that want to see me come back and win because we had a great time we had the greatest economy in [35:49] history when i was president we oh yeah my cousin got a boat yeah we had the best numbers african [35:55] american hispanic american if you look asian american job numbers women men everybody we did a [36:03] we did a lot of good things we cut we cut taxes more than anybody else including ronald reagan we [36:09] cut regulations which created jobs we had a great period of time and i think the people wanted back [36:15] based on what i'm seeing that people wanted back one thing that you did um recently we had bernie [36:20] sanders on and interesting and i know that's very interesting certainly um you guys don't agree on a [36:27] lot of things but i think you both acknowledge how horribly rigged the health care system is [36:33] against the american people um because hospitals and insurance companies get away with hiding their [36:39] prices from all of us and literally they can charge whatever they want you know it's like you sign up [36:46] and say yes i'll pay you trust the hospital but then you get home and the bill is it's whatever [36:51] you know which pretty much feels like some form of extortion to me that's what it seems like to [36:56] me form but you had an executive order where you created a federal rule forcing hospitals and [37:03] insurers to publish all their prices yep right so that people would be able to know okay if an mri costs [37:09] six hundred dollars here and it's five thousand dollars there then i can go here and save myself money [37:15] but that hasn't even been enforced like um hospitals biden got aware with it hospitals and insurance [37:20] companies they're not in they're still not showing their prices they hated it of course they did and [37:26] because it would would have made it very competitive and biden let it go he did he never enforced it [37:32] and to get that approved was a big deal and that would have brought down the price of of you know so [37:37] many things not only you know just care right care physical care mental care that would have brought [37:44] down the the cost of care by 50 60 percent and biden and kamala didn't press it it was a big thing to [37:53] get it but i'll be pressing it and because i'll be pressing it yeah and because i'll be pressing it [37:58] there are some people that are vehemently against it for financial reasons you know for money reasons [38:03] but those people go to hell dude that's insane yeah no they they're bad people especially because [38:09] one of the leading causes of bankruptcy in america is medical debt i mean it's well that's crazy and [38:17] i don't even think i made that up either no it's uh when you think of it at first when you said it i [38:22] said wow and then i'm thinking about it it's really not a wow it's i understand it yeah tremendous lobby [38:29] tremendous powerful lobby well yeah because i mean think about what else is going to put you in [38:33] medical like in in that much of a debt it's like i think that's i believe that that's accurate um [38:39] who's behind who's behind the health care insurance that whole thing like who's behind it all it feels [38:46] like chuck schumer is this kind of like deviant mastermind back there somewhere well he's one of [38:52] the people that is hurt and he's one of the people that keeps the prices high and he's you know gets a [38:58] lot of contributions from the people on the other side uh yeah and him and plenty of other people [39:04] a lot of people it's a very powerful lobby but wouldn't they one of the most powerful lobby the [39:09] lawyer lobby that's that's and that feeds into that also you know it all feeds into it wait hold [39:14] on just so i understand donald sorry um so that uh that lobby is a very powerful one yeah but why do [39:20] those people want people to suffer though just so they can make money yeah actually yeah it really has [39:27] to do with money that's crazy how much money do they probably start off by saying this is terrible [39:32] and then they eventually say well but can we just as a country say hey how much okay you need three [39:37] million dollars we'll give you that off yeah we want to be healthy yeah like can't we make a deal with [39:42] those people they're very tough to deal with and they've been taken care of by drug companies and [39:48] others for years you know you have politicians that have been for years being taken care of by people [39:54] that make a lot of money and they want to keep making a lot of money and it is i mean in that [40:00] case it's not a power thing it's a money thing yeah a lot of money um what are some of the other lobbies [40:06] that are out there that we don't even know about well the most powerful lobby is uh the lawyer lobby i [40:13] would say the teacher's lobby is important or powerful sometimes really to the detriment of everybody [40:19] but the most powerful lobby is probably the lawyers who would think that right but they have [40:25] they're they're that's why if you wanted to get rid of court cases and cut down litigation costs which [40:32] in this country is out of control loser crazy what you do is you go loser pays in other words the loser [40:38] of a lawsuit has to pay for the other side has to pay back all the money the other side spent you think [40:44] that would solve it yeah it would get rid of 75 80 percent of of the litigation we are a very [40:50] litigious country it's on everything's under it's all bureaucratic it's all bull it's all dirty [40:55] paperwork it's a bunch of rigmarole well if that would happen you'd get rid of a lot of it but the [41:00] lawyers are opposed to it it will it probably will not happen no matter what because obviously the lawyers [41:07] want to can you do what would have to happen the supreme court would have to vote on something to make [41:11] it happen i don't know i think that it maybe would have to go before the supreme court but [41:16] the most powerful lobby is that lobby and if you wanted to get rid of litigation if you went and you [41:23] know europe has it a lot of places have it in different countries where loser pays if you sue [41:29] somebody and you lose you have to you have to pay the costs of the other side yeah that makes sense i [41:34] think and what happens is people don't sue it's a tremendous difference but this country the lawyers [41:42] are very much opposed to it in this country it's too bad yeah man it's just pretty heartbreaking i [41:47] feel like um there was a rumor that you almost had rfk junior as a potential uh vice president no [41:58] okay um just a rumor yeah and did um i like him i've always liked him but yeah i like him too he's [42:03] bobby and our friends he's a friend of mine i've known him he's a good man yeah he's in there pitching [42:08] it's tough it's a two-party system and he's a third party you know it's a tough thing he can't get [42:12] registered now in new york i see new york and the democrats have really opposed him vehemently i [42:17] haven't but the democrats have really opposed so you think he should be allowed to run everywhere [42:23] well the laws don't allow that okay and the laws don't allow unless you have 15 or 20 whatever it [42:29] is they don't allow you to debate you don't have to debate so you can't get on the stage you can't [42:33] and the debates are very important i mean i had a debate with joe biden oh yeah that was a very [42:39] meaningful that was a very consequential debate to put it mildly well yeah they they they took the [42:45] hand out of the puppet after that well they wanted to debate they gave me everything that i didn't want [42:51] cnn and then they gave me uh dana bash and jake tapper now remember this they were very straight [42:59] during that debate i i have right i gained a certain respect because uh jake tapper who i call [43:06] fake tapper but now i don't do that whole food i don't do that so much anymore you did uh but i [43:13] thought they were very even-handed if you want to know the truth during the debate i didn't feel like [43:16] they like the moderate i didn't feel like they pushed a lot of certain pressure on them to be even [43:20] handed i think it's hard to not do that but they were very even-handed and uh it was a great debate [43:27] but a very important debate well after that it seemed like suddenly everybody had been like oh [43:32] biden's fine in america for like 18 months like my dad was really old when i was born my dad was 70 [43:38] when i was born right right so i don't like seeing senior citizens get take advantage of right i felt [43:44] like that happened a lot when i was a kid and so i think for me it reflected on me like it made me [43:49] really angry because i was like i know this guy's not well it's not fair to pretend that he's well yeah [43:54] it's not fair to him because he doesn't know you're pretending you know and it just seemed like [43:58] the cruelest thing you could do and then we're all kind of supposed to believe this thing that we [44:03] know is not real our media is just saying this is real and we're like we're all just being gaslit [44:09] as humans about something that's like moral like this is a human man um this is somebody's grandfather [44:17] and then they just disappear he just disappears and suddenly it's like it was a coup kamala is the [44:24] is the one that went in what do you think happened in the back rooms there because that almost was [44:28] overnight that happened i know what happened and you're not supposed to do that it's not supposed [44:34] to be probably constitutional she got no votes he got 14 million votes all of a sudden they're telling [44:40] him to get out or they they threatened him but who are they when they say angry person well i would [44:45] say schumer pelosi and numerous other people uh the heads of the democrat party yeah and they did [44:54] they threatened him violently i think and he didn't want to get out remember he said only god will get [44:59] me out right only god will get me somebody dressed up like god just chased him out of there yeah and [45:04] what happened is they they went to him and they said this was after the debate now if he didn't have [45:09] the debate he would still be running running yeah so they set him up they knew they were going to pull [45:16] up that that i don't know i mean he had his debate maybe he wanted to i heard he didn't i heard they [45:22] offered me things that i would never accept and i accepted them they said cnn they said jake top [45:27] tapper dana bash they they said all things that i could not take and i accepted all of them and uh you [45:36] know look it was a good debate for me it wasn't a good debate for him i think he'd still be running right [45:40] now you wouldn't have her she was one of the most uh disrespected people in the whole country she was [45:46] she was a failed vice president she was the most um she was considered the worst vice president in [45:54] the history of our country she had no chance you know if you go back six weeks they were saying how [46:00] bad she was and they wanted to choose from 11 different people do you feel i thought that's what [46:04] they were going to have oh you thought that's where the well that would have seemed more democratic [46:08] i think they were they were uh they wanted to be politically correct and they chose her i feel [46:15] like it would have seemed more but dude i got so angry when they sidetracked bernie a few years ago [46:20] that wasn't fair it just happened to bernie twice yeah you gotta think about it yeah oh it was crazy [46:25] yeah 2016 and 22 he just got you know it just wasn't cool like whatever you think it's just like we [46:31] have to be able to believe you like bernie is he are you friends with him or something no i met him the [46:35] other day was that the first time it was the first time were you impressed by him i yeah one thing he's [46:41] he's still sharp right oh yeah he's still sure he doesn't suffer from what biden did no no no no [46:46] mental dullness yeah right mentally god he's you know he's somebody put a merry-go-round in his head [46:56] i heard but that's you know but they didn't plug it in they didn't tell him yeah um but uh no one thing [47:02] i liked about bernie well one of the things is is the healthcare i just feel like we spend so much [47:06] money in different places and people are sick and the opioid epidemic i just feel like um and the [47:12] lower cost of drugs those are things that i and did because i got insulin down and they took credit for [47:18] it but i got it down to 35 and i said i hope i win because somebody's going to take credit it took it [47:24] takes a period of time before it kicks in statutorily and i got it down to 35 which is a very low price [47:32] and they took credit for it which is you know now i'm taking credit because i'm talking to you you [47:37] know well yeah if you did it then you should be able to take credit i just watched her performance [47:41] today so she went out and who kamala yeah she lied about everything she said uh this trump tax that [47:48] trump tax that trump day he's going to tax this he's going to attack all these different things [47:52] and i'm not going to tax them she made it up did you know that four companies controlled over 80 [47:59] percent of the u.s meat industry and china in politics many of them not [50:22] all of them are really liars but she's really alive she made up a series of lots of different taxes [50:28] that trump's going to charge you on clothing he's going to charge you on this or that and actually [50:32] she's the one your taxes are going to go up by four times and if the trump tax cuts because i got the [50:38] largest tax cuts ever but they expire in a number of months pretty soon she has to be able to uh do [50:49] something about it and she's unwilling and incapable i'll tell you what if she's she's the worst vice [50:55] president ever he's the worst president ever a deadly combination and we have a country where [51:01] the borders are bad where the world is blowing up you look at israel you look at ukraine you look at [51:07] all the different things that are happening oh she is and she has no clue and you know what i say about [51:12] her why don't you do it you know she complains about everything she's been there for three and a [51:17] half years why don't you do it all you have to do is say why don't you do it why didn't you fix it [51:22] you could fix it right now don't you know do whatever you're doing yeah and she won't talk [51:27] to you and she won't talk to anybody she won't be interviewed she's welcome to come on i would love [51:31] to get to talk to her i'm sure she'd be very exciting um actually you could make her exciting [51:35] probably yeah i think somebody said she's a good roller skater that's what i heard which is crazy [51:40] that's about it yeah i mean look we're gonna wrap it up soon okay is that what you're saying okay donald [51:48] sorry um speaking of uh speaking of kamala and speaking of the border we had two border patrol agents [51:53] that came on in the past two years right because we wanted to learn about it from people that are [51:58] there on the ground and one of the things that we found out was a lot of times they keep arresting [52:01] the same people because the the the uh people that are coming in illegally aren't being prosecuted [52:07] that's one of the biggest problems they were saying um what can we do differently to make [52:11] things safe at the border it's the fact that a family can't a father can't you know can't sleep [52:18] at night because he doesn't know who's going through his yard or going through it it's just not fair [52:22] it's not what you sign up for when you're an american what what are you going to do differently [52:26] so the borders well i did it i did it we had the best border oh the wall they should have kept it [52:30] i agree we had the wall built we had more going to come beyond long beyond what i promised i built [52:37] hundreds of miles of wall and it worked walls work you know walls and wheels i say it all the time [52:43] two things they never get obsolete wheels and walls well they also supplied infrastructure like people [52:48] don't understand the wall also was a place where uh border patrol agents could go to get water to [52:53] get food to rest it it provided like a shelter out there as well because they're in the middle of [52:57] nowhere they said it worked the two the two that i've spoken to said it and i was going to do 200 [53:02] miles of wall we had it built and we to spec you know to the specs specifications of the border patrol [53:09] we were going to put it up and it would take three weeks to put it up that's an additional 200 miles [53:16] to fill up certain areas that you know when you make the wall then all of a sudden they [53:20] suck them in through other areas we had it wired and they wouldn't do it they wouldn't put it up [53:26] and i realized they wanted open borders kamala wants open borders she's going to have open borders [53:31] we'll have 50 60 million people because of them sick we have over 20 million people in my opinion [53:37] right now that came into our country many come from prisons jails mental institutions many terrorists [53:44] uh do you know that other countries now their crime rate is way down because they're sending [53:48] all their criminals it's a party they're sending all of their criminals to us and who would take [53:53] this why is this a good thing it's a horrible she should be ashamed and you know she was the border [54:00] czar too he put her in charge she was the worst border czar in the history of the world she's a roller [54:05] skater that's what somebody told me the other day she's terrible but what are you going to do what's [54:09] going to happen with the border when you're back we're going to seal the border and i had it very [54:14] well sealed we had the we're the most successful border in the history of our country we're going [54:19] to seal the border we're going to finish up certain areas of the wall because they didn't do it [54:23] and we're going to have an unbelievable border and we're going to spend a lot of time getting the [54:28] criminals out look we have murderers in our country i don't think people should be allowed to be in our [54:32] country if they're criminals well then you're going to be very unhappy to know that we have a [54:37] lot of people hundreds of thousands of murderers we have we have people drug dealers talking about [54:43] drugs it's it's not even believable that they'll do it so what they've done is they've allowed [54:49] murderers people in prisons people in jails people in mental institutions and sanos and terrorists to [54:56] pour into our country by the hundreds of thousands and they are in our country right now [55:02] and the country that brought them out said if you ever come back we're giving you the death penalty [55:05] or we're going to kill you well in brooklyn alone there's a huge there's a huge building [55:09] that um is housing just haitian people they're just housing this wandering around brooklyn all [55:14] the time my friends are telling me they have some rough people too really rough people so you're so [55:19] when you so if you get re-elected the border you're going to continue that project [55:23] well i i'm going to make sure it's safe we had it we had the safest border and the best border in the [55:28] history of our country and now it's a disaster biden somebody invited biden to the border and [55:34] they said he went to a border's books dude and i was like that well they invited her and she went to [55:38] a place that doesn't have a problem you know she's a disaster she's she is the worst vice president [55:44] it's the worst administration in the history of our country she's a part of it and she won't do an [55:50] interview she would never do an interview like this she won't do it yeah i want to learn more about [55:53] her well i think you should ask her to come on um tell baron i said thanks man but yeah he's a big [55:59] fan i hope to get to meet him someday he seems like a neat kid yeah he is he's great is he yeah [56:04] um and yeah thank you for your time i can't believe that i got to be able to sit down with [56:07] you i'm grateful to uh to dana white as well for setting this up and um and um yeah i just appreciate [56:15] uh you giving me your time today donald trump good luck with your situation you're gonna do it you [56:20] beat it right oh yeah good luck with it thank you brother thank you very much now i'm just [56:32] for 50 years now hip-hop has been a reflection of culture and society that includes stories of [56:38] struggle and pain social injustice racial inequality the marginalization of communities today we confront [56:45] a health care system that has been rigged against all of us hospitals force patients to sign contracts [56:50] for services without ever showing us actual prices stifling competition overcharging without [56:56] accountability and if we can't pay these same contracts allow them to take everything we own [57:02] creating so much fear that millions and millions of americans refuse to enter a hospital putting our [57:08] health and our lives at stake this is an american humanitarian crisis we love our nurses and we need [57:16] our doctors but hospitals and insurers rigging a system to make profits off of people that's his [57:23] struggle is unforgivable we demand prices and transparency in health care how to the patients
