[0:09] ladies and gentlemen the president of the united states donald j trump well thank you very much [0:23] it's great to be here on this very beautiful day a lot of very positive things happening less than [0:30] four months ago i stood before you to announce the launch of the trump rx.gov a brand new website [0:37] featuring the largest discounts on prescription drugs in the history of our country history [0:43] frankly of any country and for decades americans paid the highest drug prices anywhere in the world [0:49] by far but under the most favored nation agreements i negotiated we time in 28 years it went down one-eighth of one and now we're [1:35] talking about four five and six and even seven hundred percent including for weight loss drugs [1:40] fertility treatments insulin and much much more since that launch in february trump rx.gov has [1:48] already been visited more than 10 million times and has saved american consumers over 400 million [1:54] dollars already and it's really the hottest thing in medicine it's been amazing i asked dr us how's it [2:00] doing bobby was there he said nobody's ever seen anything like this so it's great people are saving [2:06] a lot of money over the next 10 years the council of economic advisors estimates that our most [2:12] favorite nation drug policies will save americans over 500 billion dollars and this has been the me and they've said we were getting [20:21] ready to do a very major attack tomorrow and i've put it off for a little while hopefully maybe forever [20:26] but possibly for a little while because we've had uh very big discussions with iran and we'll see [20:34] what they amount to i was asked by saudi arabia qatar uae and some others if we could put it off for [20:41] two or three days a short period of time because they think that they are [20:45] getting very close to making a deal and if we can do that where there's no nuclear weapon going into the [20:50] hands of iran i think and if they're satisfied uh we will be probably satisfied also we've uh informed [20:58] israel we've informed other people in the middle east that have been involved with us and uh you know [21:04] it's a very positive development but we'll see whether or not it amounts to anything we've had [21:09] periods of time where we had we thought pretty much getting close to making a deal and uh didn't [21:14] work out but this is a little bit different now we're ready going tomorrow very big [21:19] and uh not something i wanted to do but we have no choice because we cannot let iran have a nuclear [21:25] weapon yeah please the justice department has this new fund that was announced today 1.7 billion [21:34] dollars why should taxpayers pay for the january well it's been very well received i have to tell [21:41] you i know very little about it i wasn't involved in in the whole creation of it and uh and the [21:47] negotiation but this is uh reimbursing people that were horribly treated horribly treated it's [21:53] anti-weaponization they've been weaponized they've been in some cases imprisoned wrongly they paid legal [22:00] fees that they didn't have they've gone bankrupt their lives have been destroyed and they turn out to be [22:05] right i mean it's uh was a terrible period of time in the history of our country and they worked on it i know [22:10] the justice department it's really been working on it uh very hard there's been numerous other [22:16] occasions over the years where things like this have been done but these were people that were [22:20] weaponized and really treated brutally by a system that was so corrupt with corrupt people running it [22:27] and they're getting reimbursed for their legal fees and the other things that they had to suffer yeah [22:32] please a [22:46] mistake it was a big mistake but what does this say about what you two are building here well it says we [22:53] love people we love our country he wants to he's got a a good company and he's going to do a lot of [22:58] business with this and uh i'm going to get drugs out through amazon through the whole group and we're [23:03] going to get drugs out and uh mark wanted to be a part of it and i think mark was very gracious he said [23:09] this is something that really works the first time you've seen it and uh he had to believe that if he [23:15] said it about me you have to understand that but uh look i i think i have a lot of respect for mark [23:20] frankly and i always have and then go ahead ebola ebola you said yeah should america be concerned [23:31] about ebola yeah i'm concerned about everything but certainly am i think that uh you know it's been [23:37] confined right now to africa and but it's something that has had a breakout uh i could ask bobby or us held a press briefing [24:01] that provided a lot of the answers and information but we have stood up a full interagency response [24:07] the department of state the cdc the department of war everyone is fully involved in tracking [24:13] this today we do have an announce today at the press briefing there there is an american that is [24:18] symptomatic and has tested positive for a it's the bundybuja virus a strain of ebola that american [24:26] as well as six other high-risk contacts are going to be taken out of that region and taken to germany [24:33] we want to thank our german counterparts that is an internationally recognized location for viral [24:40] hemorrhagic fever treatments so we're very grateful that they would take them it's a significantly shorter [24:44] flight time for americans to receive treatment there in germany for all other americans we have [24:50] issued travel warnings we have um we have instituted just today um entry restrictions for non-us citizens [24:58] that are um that have been in the region in the past 21 days so in uganda democratic republic of [25:05] condo congo and south sudan so very serious measures that have been taken um we are working to [25:12] communicate very frequently with everyone your question was should americans be worried right now [25:16] there are no cases of ebola in america we want to keep it that way and we are doing everything we can [25:22] to support americans in the region thank you mr president president trump over here go ahead on iran [25:33] countries have done this before they have asked you to change course in order to dangle they dangled [25:39] a peace deal in front of you saying one was coming nothing has come into fruition you mentioned [25:45] this well a lot's come into fruition we've taken a country that was going to have a nuclear weapon [25:50] and we've uh virtually destroyed its military they have no navy they have no air force they've been [25:55] every they've been virtually destroyed militarily uh that's a lot that's a big uh we could leave right [26:00] now it would take them 25 years to rebuild and the last thing they're thinking about i think is [26:05] nuclear now they have to put it down in writing but uh when you say nothing uh we've we've totally [26:11] destroyed excuse me from cnn uh we've totally destroyed their military we've destroyed their [26:17] leadership as you know uh their leaders are gone their leaders are gone at the first level the second [26:23] level we're dealing with half of the third level and i think we've made a lot of progress and it's [26:28] very simple you know we don't want to go through this we had the greatest economy ever we still do the [26:33] stock market at a brand new high a little while ago i never thought that was going to happen we had to [26:38] make the excursion you know we had 50 000 on the dow we had 7 000 on the s p and everyone said that [26:44] couldn't be done within my four years it would be too too big well we did it in my first year and then [26:49] i called scott and howard i called them all into my office i say we're going to take a little excursion [26:55] down to the middle east and we're going to confront iran because they are desperate to have a nuclear [27:00] weapon and the only reason they wanted is to use it and i said that's i hate to do this because we're [27:06] doing so well but uh this is the most important thing we can do we can't let iran have a nuclear [27:11] weapon so we did that and uh when we did that we were met with a little force and we ended up [27:16] destroying them we now have a uh a tremendous we built really a steel wall where no boats to blockade [27:24] where no boats are able to not one boat has been able to get through our blockade look our military is [27:29] the greatest military anywhere in the world i just left china and i will say president she was very [27:35] very complimentary of our military he was amazed actually at our military we have the greatest [27:41] military in the world we're not going to let iran have a nuclear weapon so i was called by these three [27:46] countries plus others and they're dealing directly with our people and right now iran and there seems [27:53] to be a very good chance that they can work something out if we can do that without bombing the [27:57] hell out of them i'd be very happy please question on weaponization do you believe that people who [28:04] committed violence against capitol hill police officers on january 6th should be eligible for [28:10] compensation from this doj fund and are you or your family members going to be seeking compensation from [28:15] that it'll all be dependent on a committee committees being set up of very talented people very highly [28:21] respected people i think it's a committee of five and again i didn't do this deal it was told to me [28:27] yesterday they said they're doing something i do believe there has to be compensation for people that [28:32] were destroyed you have families absolutely destroyed and it's all going to be determined by a committee [28:38] of four or five people that are respected and very brilliant at what they do yeah please go ahead [28:46] one at a time please in the blue yeah thank you in the blue yes go ahead please thank you mr president [28:53] on election integrity so a lot of republicans including you are speaking out against a massive [28:58] mail-in ballot ballot era in maryland yeah terrible how concerned are you about election integrity as [29:04] americans are heading into the midterms i'm very concerned about it i'm very concerned about mail-in [29:08] ballots we're the only country in the world that's doing mail-in ballots and a mail-in ballot is by just [29:14] the nature of it it's going to be corrupt so many people handle it you go into a well-run voting booth in [29:19] a certain state you know we'll pick a state but you go into and i mean they look even me i went in florida [29:25] and went to vote and they said sir i hate to do it i'm so embarrassed could i see your identification [29:31] i said really do you really want to do that please sir i'll lose my job if i don't do it i very i was [29:37] very proud to enter identification and everything else i mean you want to have proof of citizenship you [29:43] want to have a voter id you want to have all these things but to me maybe the worst of all is the mail-in [29:49] ballots where they come in so in uh as you know in maryland 500 000 fake ballots were sent out when [29:58] they were caught they said oh we'll pull them back and they issued 500 000 new ballots and as you know [30:06] they never got the original ballots back so there are a million ballots out there many of them went to [30:11] democrats and it's a very serious thing and i'll tell you i've looked at maryland for a long time [30:16] and i know maryland pretty well and i was told that it's automatically a democrat state and i don't [30:22] believe that because i think i did really well there and i don't believe it but they issued as [30:26] you just got caught recently five 500 000 ballots illegal ballots were sent out and they were totally [30:33] fraudulent and then they said oh we'll pull them back well they didn't pull them back and they have [30:37] 500 000 new ballots go so what happens to the original are they going to come in and are they going to [30:42] come in and infect our system so it's a very very serious uh thing that's happened and i've asked the [30:50] law enforcement to look
